been listening to make it sweet a lot lately and thought katy would have a costume for all the jobs lammy did

i feel like katy is allergic to a covered midriff. she can't jive and groove without it.

i wasnt gonna make a new pfp for christmas but then i drew this stupid thing (if youre wondering why it isnt my pfp that's because it's for my sonic blog)

art qualifications of any level starting from gcse are basicallt a consistent feeling of "IM GOING TO KMS" over and over ans then when its over im miserable because "sigh… if only i could be getting graded in art rn :/"

mixed feelings on these because the woman on the left looks paler than she should but the technique was fun and i like the effect. i think the main issue is my limited colour palette being honest but at the same time you need to limit the palette for it to be so colourful (i tried to darken w/ purple blue and the biro but it was really hard). i think ill try again later on better paper

i dont typically take a photo of the supplies but i think the brands are important. that specific type of zebra biro is perfect for sketching because the ink is really saturated but not *too* saturated so you can still get mid tones easily (i also like the really dark ones but theyre awful for mid tones). the highlighters are cheap and the purple is more of a fuchsia but they did the job (they were also about 50p for the set so i can complain)

hate how as a cartoonist i often feel the need to prove im a "real" artist by drawing a realistic faxe every so often. yes i do think professionals and people wanting to improve should at least dabble in realism every so often however there is a difference between "this will probably benefit your art" and "if you dont do this you arent a real artist"

incredibly rough around the edges and very much faceless but im happy with this
