Good afternoon (or maybe evening) to everyone! In my next post I'm going to analyze the Taylor Swift's tropical natal chart. I think that everyone knows who that woman is, I don't even have to explain that. I chose to analyze her natal chart, because she's one of the most successful singers currently and her ongoing tour is probably the biggest tour ever. First, I'm gonna put her details as an intro. Her full birth name is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born on December 13, 1989 in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA. Her birth time is 5:17 a.m. Now, we can get into her natal chart.

Taylor Swift has a Sagittarius Sun, Cancer Moon and a Scorpio Rising. This tells me that she's is tune with her emotions, optimistic, intense, passionate and energetic. Her chart ruler, Mars, is located in its own sign of Scorpio, in the 1st house, tightly conjuncting her Ascendant. Her Mars/chart ruler is in domicile and is in very strong position and it's placed in the 1st house, which means that she has a strong personality and she naturally attracts other people by just being herself, which is truly a blessing. She is basically supported by showing her true personality.

Mars and Pluto are both placed in her 1st house, which makes her powerful, ambitious, success-oriented and even calculative. This stellium gave me a clarity about her focusing on writing. She really takes writing very seriously and is articulative. The conjunction between her Mercury and Neptune makes Taylor creative with words, she communicates in creative and in intuitive way. Her communication might be indirect, she has never talked badly about anyone. A lot of singers have aspect between Mercury and Neptune, including Taylor. The asteroid Fama (408) represents fame and it's located in the exact position as her Mercury, in the 3rd house, forming a trine aspect with Midheaven. She's basically famous for writing songs and for a successful career she has.

The asteroid Aphrodite (1388) is associated with the beauty and is placed in her 10th house, which means that she's always been described as beautiful. Her Aphrodite forms a square aspect with her Ascendant, which can also indicate beauty, but she often receives negative reactions by others because of her presence.

The asteroid Talent (33154) is placed in Libra in the 12th house in her natal chart. This tells me that she is naturally artistic and creative and has a talent in negotiating. Talent trines her Moon, which means that she knows how to express her emotions easily. This asteroid also squares both of her Venus and Ascendant, meaning that she might have to work on her artistic talents or that people always question her talents and musical abilities.

When it comes to the relationships and sexuality, I can tell that she has a lot of placements that can indicate being gay or bisexual. No wonder why Gaylor theory is (or was) so viral on the internet. She has Venus in Aquarius, which can indicate being open to the relationships and being attracted to something that is out of the norms. Her Venus is also placed in the 4th house, which is a very private house, so even if she's open in the relationships, there could be a lot of hidden things about her love life and sexuality. Her 7th house ruler is Aquarius Venus, which duplicates everything I wrote.

She has a 5th house and the 8th house in mutable signs, which can also be a sign of someone's homosexuality or bisexuality, 'cause the mutable signs are so adaptable and open. Her 5th house ruler, Jupiter, opposites her Uranus, Mercury, Neptune and Saturn. Her 8th house ruler, Mercury, conjuncts her Uranus and Neptune. These placements can show that she might be a sexually fluid or even restricted. Both 5th and 8th houses are associated with sex and how we express our sexuality.

Part of Fortune of hers is placed in Taurus in the 7th house. This doesn't mean her being gay/bi, but it indicates her being lucky when she is in stable mode and when she's surrounded by people. She'll always be successful if she's a people's person and uses her artistic abilities. Lucky her!

PAC: Lunar Eclipse - General Messages

Sup y'all, I'm back for the second round of my PAC marathon happening before the end of October! I wanted to pull some guidance from this lunar eclipse season, especially since it's felt very energetically heavy since the last full moon. All three piles are going through some stage of great transformation taking place -- just in time for Scorpio season.

Hey pile 2, you picked one of my favorite cards in this dragon deck! I love how the light in the tree hollow resembles a portal. The energy of the Retrograde card looks to be the very opposite: all the colors of nature are drained, and all that's left are structures of near perfect symmetry and order. It's almost like you're the figure in the Retrograde card who's actually looking back and choosing to leave behind the old structure for the new and unknown with nervous enthusiasm., but not without wistfulness.

This is something you've likely sensed would happen and now that the predicted situation is at hand, things must change quickly to adjust. It reminds me of movies where the character is watching something like a building fall or a ship sink, but they have an escape pod where they can be safe with family. In these movies, the character always takes another look back to remember all the good and bad times that made it so special. The character wants to stay in that space forever until the others shout "c'mon! Hurry up!"

It's understandable that when we sense a big change is underway, we take time out to appreciate the good times had. There's a difference, though, between simply being nostalgic by enjoying memories, and the fear based resistance of walking towards whatever lies ahead. You may have recently gone through a deep shadow work period where some of your anxieties were brought to light and dealt with. You're nearing the end of this difficult cycle, however, so give yourself the chance to breathe a little before moving on.

Overwhelmingly, pile 3, I'm seeing that you're getting the green light to go ahead and embark on your next path. Notice all the teal color in your oracle cards? It's a popular color in hospitals as it provides a gentle contrast to healing that could be painful and frightening for patients. I initially imagined someone wading through a dark sewer only to approach the light of the other side. In the Understanding card, you can see that the hooded figure is walking over the stream and not in it. It's as if the bridge appeared out of nowhere. And the water looks pure and flowing smooth.

Something in your external world may be pushing you along to your next journey, whether or not you're entirely ready. What is it you would like to do, or where is it you would like to go next? I feel with the Judgement card, it's talking about a specific issue or event in your life. It's less a case of throwing darts to see what will stick and more of following the path that aligns with your true self. Your life is leading you to your life path with two thumbs up.

It's as if Judgement as a card represented an intersection, where many roads of various directions diverge into one area. You must put your turn signal on and indicate where you plan to proceed next. The sooner you can get clear on which road to take, the faster your next chapter will roll out. Just make sure you're using the right signal.

The biggest hurdle to overcome will be the ever present comfort zone. A comfort zone is not something to be fought. It's a necessary part of keeping up with the body and mind. Finally! We begin to see a lift in the foggy energies today. Just keep in mind that we’re not completely out of the woods just yet. The biggest news of the day is Mercury finally stationing direct after a month of wreaking havoc in the Aries ruled area of our lives. We’ll still feel some of these effects a little while longer. He’s not doing the backwards dance any more but is in a full stop so the brain might be feeling a little stuck too as he turns around to move forward again.

The Moon in Scorpio is opposite the Jupiter and Uranus conjunction in Taurus. With Jupiter it can help us feel more relaxed and friendly but with Uranus it can quickly cause some emotional detachment or distraction. Together this can cause a lack in self control. All of these feelings can be adapted so how you apply them is purely up to you.

The Moon in Scorpio will also trine Mars and Neptune in Pisces adding levels of courage and allowing us to use our intuition better. Dreamy feelings of romance begin to fill the air with Mars and Neptune coming together. Just be cautious to not over idealize situations.

The Moon will move into fun and spontaneous Sagittarius later tonight where we finally start seeing the path clear, officially putting eclipse season behind us. NOVEMBER 2022 INTUITIVE ASTROLOGY FORECAST

Towards the middle of the month, both Venus and Mercury enter Sagittarius. What does this mean?

Venus, the Aphrodite of the planets, the plant of love and pleasure, is entering Sagittarius's fiery, adventurous energy. Mercury, our planet of communication, also joins the same sort of energy.

Venus, the planet governing our love and pleasures, is starting to butt heads with the planet in charge of our discipline. Scorpio's energy's roots run deep, whereas Aquarius is the water-bearer and an air sign - so this energy tends to be a bit more flighty. Scorpio and Aquarius energy are fixed signs; fixed water and fixed air. The emotional space of Scorpio is layered and murky at times, while the mental area of Aquarius is electric and stimulating. 

March 28th of this year, Venus and Saturn made an exact conjunction at 21º Aquarius, creating a new beginning in how we are disciplined within enforcing our boundaries regarding our finances and self-worth. What have our relationships with others panned from then to now? As we experience this energy today, we recognize this is the opening square to what we began in the early spring of this year. 

How all of this might manifest for you is that you may find it difficult to put things into motion. You may want XYZ, but you may find it's like trying to hold on to sand - the motivation/discipline needed to carry things out might be hard to find or grasp. Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse @ 16º Taurus

Continuing with the epic eclipse season, we come to our Total Lunar Eclipse in the stable and loyal sign of Taurus. As we embark on part two of a three-part series that began with the first Taurian eclipse on November 19th, 2021, we are in for more unexpected shifts and pivots. Today's Full Moon eclipse is conjunct Uranus and the North Node, highlighting the restrictions and amplifying the liberation we seek. Full Moons are bright in the night sky and illuminate the energy of the sign they're in. Taurus has a stereotype of being materialistic sometimes, but they don't settle for anything less than what they want and deserve. Taurus is also about luxury and quality - good food, good sex, and GOOD everything. After all, it's ruled by Venus, the planet of love, money, pleasure, receptivity, and values. The ruler of this Full Moon Eclipse is currently navigating the underworld in the sign of Scorpio, so it's taking on a bit of that Scorpionic taboo energy as well.

Keep in mind the sun is also transiting Scorpio, and this full moon is shining the light onto what we truly desire and where we aren't compromising to receive said desires. Hi everyone, I’ll make this post a bit short because why not. Also, how are you all doing despite the really weird and crazy energetic shifts that the whole world is now feeling, like super strong energies that want to push EVERYONE to MOVE AND CHANGE..? Yep, this was what the older messages in this blog were about, not just channeled through me but to a lot of people, whether they’re into the whole esoteric-energetic woo woo stuff or not. Good thing the energetic shifts and alarm bells started ringing a bit early for all the woke people to sniff and adjust into, so at least some people can hang on to whatever is left of their sanity lol

But!!!

We can now also see the effects that the energetic shifts are causing to the entire “unaware” collective, and if I was to look at things from a 3D perspective, the whole world is just screaming in pain. However, if we zoom in from a higher dimensional perspective, the density that wants to escape is now manifesting through the collective energies of the “sleeping” populations, hence the world-wide chaos that MUST happen to release these old, dense vibrations. Of course I am not discounting nor degrading any form of old pain coming up in one way or another, as well as the pains that others are feeling right now. Like seriously, it’s not fun feeling literal and figurative pain each day that isn’t even mine. Like I wanna stop my daily crying bonanza it’s ruining my eyes lol But seriously... It’s pretty much one reason why it took me this long to put up this energetic support post, I have to clear my own issues as well, and it won’t be fair to anybody, even to me if I channel icky energies and post it here (because I also use the energetically-infused photos I posted myself). Gotta clear me up first. It’s self-care and self-love, which is what the collective desperately needs right now, especially at the start of eclipse season.

Aside from clearing the dense stuff first within us, and then outside us, now more than ever do we really need to fill in with love, fill in with hope, fill in with TRUE optimism. Not the toxic kind of optimism (which denies all existence of the negativities altogether), but the kind of optimism that looks at the ABSOLUTE TRUTH with clear, unclouded eyes (Thank you Uncle Iroh for the original quote) and still finds the courage to look to a brighter road ahead. This is what the Sagittarius energies coming in can help us with. To move forward with confidence, compassion, with love, with care, to ourselves and others. Because we are all connected in this quantum field, like all bodies of water are, one way or another connected to the oceans and seas.

I mean, this is my “sending healing energies to the world” setup, the crystals are just placed like that as the cardinal directions, Red Jasper to root and ground the energies to Mother Earth and everyone who needs the energy, Lapis Lazuli for higher-wisdom from the upper dimensions, Rose Quartz for healing of everyone’s hearts, and Black Obsidian to release and transmute all the dense stuff into higher-vibrational energies, plus the Clear Quartz in the middle is the amplifier-energizer thingy. 

If you’re also an energy channeler and healer and would want to help in any way, but at the moment can’t do much due to the many restrictions brought upon by the pandemic, if you feel the calling, you can also do this setup with a world map or with your phone’s map app, with or without the crystals. I know it’s a thankless job that pragmatic people would probably scoff at, but hey, who knows, maybe with your channeling of higher-vibrational energies it can help tip the scales into balance again. I mean, any form of assistance to aid the earth’s clearing sessions can help. Not to ring my own bells but ever since the year started and many natural calamities started popping up, it was my instinct and intent to channel energies into the world. I have been doing this for a while now, and whether it helped or not, I just keep doing it. I don’t have much right now and I do have to face my own issues myself but doing this and knowing and believing that at some point, even if only one person in the world receives the energies and starts cultivating hope, love, and compassion inside them, then that helps me sleep at night with some gratitude. I hope that for you, for myself, and for everyone in this interestingly-interesting times. To shine the light that has been inside each and every one of us all along.

This could push those business dealings into January because it will retrograde back into Sagittarius. Retrograde periods are also more about reflection.

The Moon will also enter Leo today bringing out our inner child with warmth, playful and creative energy. Just watch out for prideful thinking elevating your emotions but it’s a nice time for creative or romantic pursuits. It will trine Mars in Sagittarius infusing us with willpower and courage promoting assertiveness and good leadership.

the complete guide to astrology - revised

i. introduction

what is astrology? how can we use it to improve our lives? how do we go about studying a seemingly complex subject with such a large body of literature? in this post, i hope to give you guys a solid idea of the basics while providing resources for further reading and learning, curated by yours truly.

to start, astrology is defined as "the divination of the supposed influences of the stars and planets on human affairs and terrestrial events by their positions and aspects" (source). its primary use in modern times is as a tool of self-discovery. this is done through a natal chart, which is outlined below.

of course, astrology is used for many other things, ranging from examining relationships, to predicting the outcome of future events, to even locating lost objects. there are many branches of astrology that each have their own set of rules and methods for interpretation of the chart. i will go into more detail about some of these other branches soon. however, all astrology uses the same framework. so what is that?

***before i go further, i want to note that this guide contains a comprehensive resources section, section v, which contains a lot of helpful supplementary information such as cafeastrology's article on understanding the astrological chart wheel, a full glossary of astrological terms, and various subjects not explicitly defined or covered in-depth in this guide like retrograde planets and interceptions.***

now onto the guide! :-)

ii. the framework

perhaps the key piece of astrology is the natal chart:

the natal chart is a visual representation of where the celestial bodies were at the time of birth. it seems complex at first glance, but it is possible to break it down to better understand it. in this section, i will elaborate on four components that come together to form the picture. These are the zodiac signs (inner ring), planets (around the ring), aspects (lines in the middle), and houses (numbers on the outer ring).

zodiac signs

in astrology, the zodiac signs are the most essential, core pieces of the puzzle. this is because they represent traits or energies. they are modes of expression. aries: cardinal + fire, enthusiastic, passionate, impatient, childlike, leader, hotheaded, dynamic, quick to react, competitive, impulsive, direct, outgoing, extroverted, positive. ruled by mars and the first house. taurus: fixed + earth, stubborn, patient, strong-willed, down-to-earth, hard workers, sensual, persevering, materialistic, focused, strong, realistic, enduring, habitual, hard to anger, love of nature. ruled by venus and the second house. gemini: mutable + air, chatty, social butterflies, adaptable, flexible, clever, witty, sarcastic, curious, scattered, lighthearted, changeable, multitaskers, jack-of-all-trades, smart, flighty. ruled by mercury and the third house. cancer: cardinal + water, emotional, sensitive, gentle, intuitive, motherly, moody, defensive, protective, caring, empathetic, imaginative, sentimental, passive, introverted, shy, homebody. ruled by the moon and the fourth house. leo: fixed + fire, confident, dramatic, theatrical, warm, generous, supportive, strong-willed, loyal, honest, authentic, loves pleasure, big personality, self-centered, courageous, magnetic, expressive, assertive. ruled by the sun and the fifth house. virgo: mutable + earth, methodical, serious, perfectionist, critical, practical, detail-oriented, analytical, competent, helpful, enjoys service, reserved, sensible, down-to-earth, intellectual. ruled by mercury and the sixth house. libra: cardinal + air, outgoing, friendly, agreeable, diplomatic, avoids conflict, polite, charming, refined, pacifistic, tolerant, craves connection, indecisive, romantic, artistic, hesitant, fair, good conversationalist, gossip. ruled by venus and the seventh house. scorpio: fixed + water, secretive, possessive, introverted, honest, genuine, intense, independent, lone wolf type, intuitive, analytical, persistent, passionate, ambitious, proud, committed, clever, competitive. ruled by pluto and the eighth house. sagittarius: mutable + fire, optimistic, positive, big picture thinkers, extroverted, jovial, loves adventure, blunt, straightforward, open-minded, future-oriented, faithful, independent, energetic, needs freedom. ruled by jupiter and the ninth house. capricorn: cardinal + earth, serious, disciplined, mature, takes responsibility, hard-working, thoughtful, traditional, dry sense of humor, objective, independent, ambitious, reliable, patient. ruled by saturn and the tenth house. aquarius: fixed + air, progressive, eccentric, independent, needs freedom, detached, intellectual, authentic, accepting, open-minded, non-judgemental, outgoing, determined, humanitarian, future-oriented. ruled by uranus and the eleventh house. pisces: artistic, sensitive, distant look, compassionate, empathetic, escapist, intuitive, heart over head, understanding, introspective, needs alone time, soft-spoken, emotional, imaginative, faithful, romantic, fluid, adaptable. ruled by neptune and the twelfth house.

planets

the planets give direction to the traits expressed by the zodiac signs. this direction comes in the form of facets of our personalities. personal/"inner" planets sun: ego, general personality, vitality, focus, father figure. domicile=leo / detriment=aquarius / exalted=aries / fall=libra moon: emotions, intuitions, gut reactions, instincts, needs, mother figure. domicile=cancer / detriment=capricorn / exalted=taurus / fall=scorpio mercury: communication, mental abilities, information processing. domicile=gemini or virgo / detriment=sagittarius or pisces / exalted=virgo / fall=pisces venus: romance, personal style, love style, attraction, taste. domicile=taurus or libra / detriment=scorpio or aries / exalted=pisces / fall=virgo mars: drive, motivations, anger, physical attraction, physical activity. domicile=aries/ detriment=libra/ exalted=capricorn / fall=cancer

impersonal/"outer" planets jupiter: expansion + growth, talents, opportunities, luck. domicile=sagittarius / detriment=gemini / exalted=cancer / fall=capricorn saturn: fears, where we feel repressed/restricted, where we must learn and become disciplined. domicile=capricorn/ detriment=cancer/ exalted=libra / fall=aries uranus: individuality, eccentric/uniqueness, suddenness, technology. domicile=aquarius / detriment=leo / exalted=scorpio / fall=taurus neptune: confusion, blurred lines, lack of boundaries, deception, sacrifice, dreams. domicile=pisces / detriment=virgo / exalted=cancer / fall=capricorn pluto: transformation, raw power, death, secrets. domicile=scorpio / detriment=taurus / exalted=aquarius / fall=leo

planets in their domicile or exalted sign are said to be strong, while planets in their detriment or fall sign are weak. stronger planets express themselves much more naturally. weaker planets can bring problems into the individual's life, especially if poorly aspected.

aspects

the next step is the aspects, which is the interaction between these facets of our personality and how easily we express them. positive aspects are marked green, negative are marked red. conjunction (0°): the unification of two planets that allows their energies to merge and be expressed as one. square (90°): tension between two planets that creates conflict or patterns of avoidance. opposition (180°): tension between two planets that results in conflict or patterns of projection. quincunx (150°): completely different energies that are unable to be integrated or properly managed. trine (120°): two planets that mesh well together, often manifesting as a talent or skill within the individual. sextile (60°): two planets with energy so similar they are seamlessly and effortlessly expressed together.

houses

finally, the houses represent the stage where all of this expression occurs in our external life. first (ascendant, ASC): first impressions, physical appearance, the vibe we give off, our view/philosophy of life. second: our values, sense of self-worth and confidence, money, physical possessions. third: communication style, early education, siblings, neighbors and neighborhood, thinking patterns, short trips. fourth (imum coeli, IC): home, family, the house, early life + childhood, background, roots, memories, father figure. fifth: self-expression, creativity, hobbies, interests, children, pleasure, short-term relationships. sixth: physical health, daily routine, coworkers, job, pets, service to others. seventh (descendant, DSC): marriage, spouse, long-term relationships, other people. eighth: shared resources, inheritances, death, transformation, crisis, hidden things. ninth: higher education, travel, foreign/distant places, diversity, expansion and growth. tenth (midheaven, MC): career, reputation, online persona, success, goals for the future, mother figure. eleventh: groups and organizations, the wider collective, our friend group, wishes and aspirations. twelfth: losses, grief and sorrow, subconscious or unconscious things, confusion, lack of boundaries, sacrifice.

iii. the interpretation process + notes

to interpret a natal chart, i have a specific process that i utilize. i will outline it in this section, giving notes along the way where i see fit. there are many ways of interpreting charts, however, so use this more as a guide than a hard and fast rule.

✨the process ✨

look at the chart as a whole, taking notice of: a. planets clustered together in one sign/house (note: 3+ planets in a house is called a stellium) b. planets "sitting on/"conjunct the angles (1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th) c. lone planets that are just sitting by themselves d. completely empty houses e. major aspect patterns, such as the t-square, grand trine, etc.

next, look at the sign of the ascendant and determine the chart ruler a. examine the condition of both, such as major aspects (aspects of 5° or less)

check out the sun's sign, house, and major aspects

do the same for the moon, and consider the relationship it has to the sun

next, check out the sign, house, and major aspects of the three other personal planets

look at the three other angles: the IC, DSC, and MC to determine their condition

look at the house and any major aspects to personal planets for the outer planets

find the lord of any empty houses and determine what house it sits in, as well as its condition there

finally, any asteroids or minor bodies of interest a. typically these only influence the individual if they make an aspect to the personal planets or angles, like outer planets

some other things to take into account: which element/planet/sign is dominant in the chart, where the ruler of each house sits, are there planets at 0° or 29°, degree theory, midpoints, and planets in retrograde.

iv. other chart types

so far, i've exclusively been talking about the natal chart. however, there are several chart types with other purposes ranging from examining the compatibility of two people, to predicting what might occur in the year ahead, to even answering questions. i'll give a brief run-down of some of them here:

solar return: a chart drawn for the exact moment the sun returns to the sign and degree it was at when you were born. it is said to represent what will occur in the year ahead.

synastry: this chart examines the relationship between two people by seeing how both of their charts interact with each other. it is a representation of how they affect each other.

composite: like the synastry chart, a composite looks at the relationship between two people. it does this by creating a chart of the midpoints between the placements of their charts. it is a representation of the relationship itself and what it's like.

progressed: a chart that shows how a person's personality and life circumstances change over time, calculated by adding one day to your birthday for every year of your life.

draconic: a chart that supposedly represents your "true nature," which is who you were before your life experiences. it works by setting the north node to aries and adjusting every other placement accordingly.

transit: this is simply a chart of what the sky looks like on any given day. this can be compared to a natal chart to see what influences are acting on an individual or to examine long-term trends.

these are by no means all of the chart types, or even the most important, but they are the most common ones you will see discussed here. furthermore, every chart type uses the same framework and many of the same rules in regards to interpretation, making them extremely valuable tools to have in your toolset!
