Tide gently rubs her own hands a bit, staring down at them with a troubled expression Tide: I get lonely sometimes in my home... I'm thankful to have such a nice place and garden to call my own but it feels.... empty.... a lot of the time... The gastrodon nervously fiddles with her purse strap Tide: And despite having worked with kids for so long I don't know if I could... raise a kid entirely on my own... But that would require someone else and... ahem. Tide: That is even further not in the cards for me haha Carrot stares up at Tide, his nervous expression softening into one of worry at her tone change. She rubs her eyes gently before continuing to speak Tide: So sorry, didn't mean to get so.. melancholy on you there for a second haha! I shouldn't be so down on such a lovely sunny day! Tide takes a deep breath in and puffs out her chest with optomism

Her tone change was swift, albeit a bit shaky, but overall she seems to have returned to her "normal" demeanor Tide: Even if it doesn't ever happen to me... I'll always be grateful for the school and all the lovely children I get to teach year after year. I should be focusing more on them than the hypotheticals I think! The shaymin at her side gazes up at her slightly, for a moment almost a flash of pity sparked by, gone as soon as it arrived.

As much as she's still smiling, her tone gains a note of seriousness as she continues. "And what about it is 'worth it' is entirely up to you, Tide. I raised my son on my own by choice, because at the time I didn't think I could really handle a relationship. And....I was probably right."

She laughs fondly. "Of course, I've since found someone who....works. I would've been too stubborn to accept his help back then-"

She clears her throat. "Sorry, that's not really relevant to my point. What I meant to say is that....not every piece to a puzzle will find you at the same time. Maybe you'll find a partner, maybe you won't. Maybe a child will come biologically, maybe fate will drop one into your hands in another way. But if you want either, you'll find a way to get them. It just might not be all at the same time, or exactly when you expect."

(fugamsemidei): Paleo observes Lucius quietly for a few moments, feeling a strange...stirring in his chest. He shakes it off and approaches, choosing to sit nearby. "Forgive my intrusion, but...from my understanding you have lost your memories? Forgive me if this is poorly worded, or rude, but I'm curious how that was discovered. Well, not discovered, really, but...I can only imagine you'd be lost, having no memories. Did someone find you like that, somewhere, wandering aimless?"

He scratches the back of his head with his claws, once again pointedly ignoring the weird feeling he was getting; it probably wasn't important. "Again, apologies if that's a strange thing to be curious about."

Lucius eyes widened at Paleo that stood before him. Of the many things he expected to see, a Silvally was the the last thing he expected. It was...oddly reassuring. Realizing he's been staring for a bit too long for his liking, Lucius shook whatever thoughts he had in his head before shifting into all fours on the couch. The form of the large Pokemon became smaller as light bathed his body. His form should shift and bend.

As the light died down, Lucius would now take the form of a Silvally. However, this was not a illusion or anything in the matter. This was the real Lucius. "I hope this form doesn't alarm you in any way. I just..wasn't expecting to see someone of my species here outside my siblings." He brought a hand to chest, partially covering the gem embedded in it as he offer a slight smile.

"To answer your question, I managed to keep some portion of my memories. I'm not sure of the exact amount from the top of my head, but it was just enough for me to piece together what happened." He closed his eyes. "I was in a coma. For how long, I don't know. For what reason? I don't know. The only reason I knew I had been in one because I was later told by my personal assistant. What I do know is the last thing I remember prior to waking up is that I had fallen asleep in the library of the castle."

"So I woke up in my room alone. My siblings and my assistant had left to take care of some things...and weren't quite expecting me to wake up. At first, it wasn't weird because I assume my mother dropped me off here...so I stepped out and I noticed how weird things were. I didn't see any Carbink. Everything looked so old....and there was so much vegetations. I looked everywhere for the Pokemon I knew. The people that were my friends. The people that were teachers. My mother....but no one was there. At that point, my siblings and assistant had found me and console me."

"And then I learned that...these can help me," Lucius pat the port on the side as it slid open to reveal a singular disc within it.

"I'm sure you're aware of what this it...given your species. However, I'm not sure if your disc functions akin to mines so I will try to shorten the details of this the best I can. This is Ghairy Memory, a fusion of the Ghost and Fairy Memory. I don't know why these Memories were fused, but...they have been functioning as a means to recall what I missed. It's why I'm seeking them...but...I will admit I am....unnerve by the first few uses of them since I can't control what I recall from them...and it just...it's."

He stopped. He was thinking over his words. "....I lose control when I haven't either mastered them or spent the time needed to allow these discs to heal what I can."

He paused and stared at Paleo. "I'm sorry...was that too much. I didn't mean to talk so much. i just...I just wasn't expecting to see another Silvally around. It's hard to stumble upon others who may have somewhat similar experiences as you." He tapped his port to close it.

Saltriv tilted their head. "What are you talking about? Neither Burhalla nor Gen are human! I've known Burhalla for years, and Gen would have told us if he were human!"

Gen, upon hearing this, froze up, beginning to tremble.

She was mildly shocked at first, as she wasn't expecting him to come over to her, but she didn't appear to mind it. Despite the awkwardness, she gives a soft reassuring smile. Tide: I don't think it's weird to say at all! I do apologize for not saying hello earlier, I didn't see you at first! There are so many pokemon around haha She smiles a bit, hoping that didn't sound too rude, she didn't mean it to be. Tide: I am happy I was able to help.. even a little. I felt like I didn't do too much for you guys... So it's nice to hear that they helped an- Tide waves her hands nervously, realizing she may sound like she was fishing for another thank you or making it about herself. Tide: N-NOT THAT I NEEDED VALIDATION FOR DOING THAT oh bother- She gently places one of her hands on her forehead in a attempt to compose herself a bit Tide: Sorry, I'm still.. not the best at talking to others.. sometimes.. a lot of the time... BUT UM-

Tide: I'm so happy to here that you and the kids got here alright! From all the children giggling I hear not too far off, it seems like this place is a nice safe place for them. Tide: Nothing better than hearing children having a fun time.. makes me wish I could run around and play like them too haha Tide smiles once more

Tide: I'm really happy they are okay and are safe now... Same for you as well.

Tide: It looked like it took a lot out of you to take care of them and keep them safe.. and to even take them here... Tide: So I do hope you yourself, are taking care while you are here. This place seems very kind and nice, so I'm sure they'll treat you well too... I'm almost surprised they let me in here! Seems like a protected area so I'm shocked they even let me in ahaha... But anyways... Tide gives a playful teasing glare Tide: I know how it is to exhaust yourself while taking care of others. Make sure to take care of yourself as well!

Tide gives a nervous laugh, waving a hand to fan herself nervously Tide: Haha, sorry. I didn't mean to pry at you like that. My caretaker instincts kinda kicked in there hahaha..ha..

She looks back at Paleo and smiles again Tide: If you lot are going to stay here for awhile, I might come by again sometime! If that's alright by you lot anyways haha.. I don't wanna come off as weird... I'm just gonna help that pokemon over there with some personal matters!

Tide gestures over to Honey, referencing their previous conversation. Tide: So maybe I'll see you again? Maybe we could have lunch or something and have a chat about things? Maybe I don't know, no pressure obviously haha! Just me blubbering about! You're probably busy with everything so I would understand haha. Just figured I would offer I guess! - - - - -

Honey fixes him with an apologetic look. "I was just making sure you heard what I said to everyone else. I'm heading back to Fuse and the kids, I needed to speak with her about something. I know I volunteered to show you around, were you looking to come with me again?"

Paleo forces a smile, and forces his feathers to settle, too. "Well, I'm flattered by the invitation, but...I'd prefer to stay here this time. Knalla was giving me some advice and I'd hate to leave before I've heard it all."

Nervousness around his kids, jealousy of Fuse...honestly it seemed like visiting the other group would be nothing but stressful, at this moment.

He gives a nod. "Alright, just checking. I'll be back in a bit, all."

He turns, and Sunset breaks away from staring at Paleo to dash over to Honey. "Can I come?" She asks.

"Well, of course! You know you're welcome to go anywhere, Sunset!" He replies with a smile. Sunset's tail swishes a little.

Paleo sighs, already feeling the brief bout of stress abate. But then, before the two can even get out of sight, a shadow invades his vision.

His head jerks towards the Zorua. For the briefest moment, she is all he can see. Just her, and the words and whispers that dance.

Just as quickly as it had come, the darkness leaves. The Zorua turns away from him and scampers off, as if the entire interaction had not happened.

Paleo swallows. He does not let his nerves show.
