A smile snuck its way onto Maya’s face before she ever realized what was happening. Ari had such genuine enthusiasm that it was contagious. “You were right,” she conceded with a laugh and took another sip of her drink. “I’ve been here before but I’ve been missing out on the drink menu! Rookie move. Although, I have to say the place is even better with good company.” Maya gave Ari a knowing look before she continued listening attentively to the woman. It always warmed her heart to learn of someone who enjoyed themselves at Latte Love, but she couldn’t lie and say that it didn’t feel even better when the compliments came from someone as cute as Ari.  “Okay, see? You totally get it!” Maya exclaimed, her face brightening, and her eyes reflecting her passion. “I struggled a lot at the start – people still try to make my opening my shop some twisted, mean girl move against my competitors, but I just wanted to contribute my part to building up the community.” The curly haired woman shook her head and sighed, deciding it was best to let that topic of conversation drop. Her eyes glanced down as Ari slid a business card over to her, and she smiled to herself as she picked it up. “Well, I can always use more taste testers. I’ll definitely be taking advantage of this,” Maya waved the card in the air for a moment before slipping into the pocket of her jeans. “So, Ari. What brought you out tonight?”

Ari nudged her shoulder right into Maya's, as the latter joked with her. The former's eyes had been trained on Maya's, trying to find some telltale sign of whether she was enjoying herself or not—waiting for her eyes to light up with an indication that the barkeep's choice had been a welcomed one. When her expression turned positive, Ari leaned in with a match of enthusiasm. "What'd I tell ya? Isn't it kinda fantastic here?" Ari beamed, taking in another helping of her own beverage. More than already being the owner of her favorite coffee stop in all of Blue Harbor, the café expert really struck a chord with Ari. Though Maya had already won her patronage, she was now earning a soft spot in her heart, too.

As Maya explained her part in community, coffee and bakery, she couldn't help but notice the feeling of greater warmth. "I love that part about community," she agreed immediately between sips, "I think it's incredibly important to lean into your connection with people. I can't say you'll ever find me at one of your competitors—maybe especially so now." In her respective industry, Ari felt most drawn to the stories of her clients that were brought with every piece she designed. It wasn't so much about the jewelry itself than it was about the connection and meaning it represented. Especially given that much of her work was bespoke, Ari often found herself incredibly invested in her clients. "Well, should you ever, need a second opinion in the taste testing, be sure to give me a ring," she winked at Maya, while sliding a business card across the bar counter.

Tbh I’ve just been call it Ithacan Naga, but it’s objectively it’s a mix of snake, owl/bird, and human. So 🤷.

Tbh the wings are supposed to be white/gray-brown, cause owls & Hermes, while his scales are supposed to be an oscillating scale from sea green-blue to purple-tinted gray. Uhm. Evidently that sorta didn’t happen but also did. So.

The purple/grayer scales are gonna be more around with the feathers and wings.

Those fin colors are. Too blue and too bright but I love the colors themselves so they’re staying for now.

If there was anything Dahlia was grateful for, it was girls nights with Ari. Ever since the girl had moved to Blue Harbor, their friendship had been an anchor for Dahlia in ways she hadn't even realized she needed. Even when thinking back to the early days of their friendship in New York, there had been an undeniable connection between them, but it wasn't until Ari moved to town that their friendship truly blossomed. Kindred spirits with a shared spark that drew them together. Dahlia had invited Ari over for an evening of snacks, wine and gossip, and was eagerly awaiting her friend's arrival. She glanced at the clock, the familiar comfort of Ari's presence already easing the knot in her chest even before her best friend had arrived. When she heard the knock on the door, Lia practically flew across the room to open it. A smile immediately plastered onto her face as she greeted Ari, pulling her into a tight hug. i went into some more details here, but here’s some more!

Loke and Aries are very close, even before Karen. They often spend time in each other’s temples.

The Gemini spirits are pranksters, but seeing as they are childlike, they never mean to be malicious with anything they do.

Capricorn is often the one who gets them out of trouble, he’s like their babysitter.

All of the Zodiac are protective of them, wanting them to stay childlike and playful.

Aries, Virgo, and Libra are in a poly relationship.

The son of Pisces has a crush on Yukino, but nobody knows but his mother.

She’s advised him against pursing a relationship with a human, because of her own experience. He’ll outlive her thousands of years over.

Aquarius has a secret fondness addiction to human sweets, especially chocolate

Libra is blind & mute. She communicates telepathically with other Spirits and her Key Holder, but she also knows human sign language.

Taurus is a secret softie for plushies. Lucy gifts him some any chance she gets.

Juvia is transfem nonbinary and bi (she/they)

Her birthday is May 5.

She’s 5’4”, but often wears tall boots that make her anywhere from three to six inches taller. She’s a pear shaped and has a bit of fat padding, but not too much.

She never grew out of her gothic phase.

She’s mixed, afrolatina(mom) and Russian(dad). She looks like a perfect mix of them.

She doesn’t communicate with her parents, but they’re both still alive. After they kicked her out, they later wanted to reconnect after her growing popularity in Fairy Tail, but she declined.

I want more interactions between Lucy's spirits and Natsu (and Happy) ifl there's some good potential there. Like, I'm convinced Natsu and Virgo are kind of besties already (shout-out to my queen for giving nalu matching fits she's a real one). I see him getting along really well with Aries too (does anyone remember the filler ep where Aries wanted a tan and Natsu gives her one????). And the Tartaros Hades fight where Natsu couldn't punch Aries but had no qualms going ham on Taurus LMAOOOO I know he hates that bull 🙏. And pre GMG where they go to the celestial spirit realm and Natsu is horrified ab the food (see attached)(you can see him and Aries having fun here too)(Does anyone see my vision)

It'd been larger than the normal crowd on a weekday, and usually, he'd walk out and come back a different day if he hadn't finished his nightstand book. Deciding to brave the crowd, Anthony promised to be in and out, moving past a group of people waiting near the register. He only had a few more steps before coming to his favorite section of books, but his shoulder brushed an endcap display, causing some of the books to clatter to the floor in an unavoidable event. Though he still felt a bit embarassed. "Shit," he mumbled, bending down to try to pick them up, before catching the eye contact of someone nearby. "You didn't see that, right?"
