Seyoon got on his nerves, but lately, he could admit that his resolve was wavering. He hadn't given the man a fair chance to explain his side. He was very black and white when it came to dealing with moralistic dilemmas. He had hurt his close friend and at the time, he believed there was no point in giving anyone a second chance. To him, Seyoon had been too immature and careless with his friend's emotions. Silent treatment was an acceptable punishment, especially when he didn't think that Seyoon hadn't changed.

Today, Seyoon wasn't on trial for his wrongdoings. Besides, was it any of his business what two people dealt with their relationship woes? Perhaps, the two of them could turn a new page and start on less rocky foundation. What better way to get to know each other than through pain and bad decisions? He didn't think indoor cycling could be this intense, but he should have been wary when the instructor was explaining the resistance levels. He glances over at Seyoon with a non-verbal apology glinting in his eyes with accompanying furrowed brows.

"Should we call a truce?!" He yells over, barely waiting for the other trainee to reject or accept his well-meaning offer. Would he able able to walk tomorrow? He lowers the intensity level to a one and leans back against the seat. He lifts his water bottle adorned with a cut-out sticker of his face, which was the only solid idea he had before the episode. He had prepared one for Seyoon too, but he would dare say his was in fact cuter. "It's so hot!" He complains, watching the monitor in front of him stop measuring his heart rate. "A giant fan in front of my face would feel so nice like wind passing through..."

Was Seyoon under the impression that he was a master magician, or that his acting was believable enough to convince him that he was paying attention to anything he was saying? He visibly inhales, chest rising and lowering not long after when he exhales. It was less trying to breathe and more of an attempt at masking his annoyance. It seemed the man was set on trying to test his patience today, which wasn't that different from any other day when it came to Seyoon despite his lackluster peace offering.

It was a waste of energy to be shocked at the lack of trying on Seyoon's part. He had decided on trying his best to not allow the man get under his skin for the sake of the other trainees. He knew how uncomfortable it felt when others weren't getting along, especially when there was no escaping an entire day of practice with unsettling feeling. He didn't want to be the one involved in making a challenging task even more difficult, but he stopped himself from walking out of the room, or locking his arm behind his back.

Instead, he pats the man on the back and steps away to inspect the man's mischief. It wasn't any different than what his younger sister would have done to his hair when he was growing it out. He knows better than to react, settling down in front of the mirror with Seyoon's phone. He connects to the bluetooth speakers, flashing him a smirk when he presses the button to play the song from the beginning. "Okay, show me what you have Seyoon." He yells over the music, grabbing his own phone from the pocket of his sweatpants to record the video of the man dancing.

Maybe, Seyoon would learn his lesson and regret asking him for help with ill-intentions by the end of the day.

"Spoilsport," Seyoon grumbled, opening the bottle of water and pouring a third of its content into his own mouth before leaning over the phone with Noeul. He certainly did not wish to waste a perfectly good bottle of water, and if Noeul didn't want it as a peace offering, then he shall have to enjoy it himself.

"Okay, got it, imaginary string!" Noeul actually seemed quite focused on the video, and that stirred Seyoon's desire for mischief. "Lift my knees...mmhm." He repeated, appearing ever well-behaved as he discreetly reached into his pocket for an elastic band. "You know, when it comes to energy, I am definitely not lacking. I think it's just about showing it." He crowded in close again, invading Noeul's personal bubble. "What about this part here." He went back to an earlier segment of the video and pointed at the screen, calling his fellow trainee's attention to it.

With Noeul sufficiently distracted, at least in his opinion, Seyoon decided that it was finally playtime! Earlier, when he searched in his pockets for an elastic, he actually found a pair of hair clips in the shape of flowers first. Someone bought those for him as a gag gift, but jokes on them - he actually ended up using them lots to hold back his bangs during practice and was comfortable enough with his masculinity to embrace the Barbie pink.

He clipped them one at a time into Noeul's hair, demonstrating remarkable nimbleness with his fingers. How adorable - what a pretty boy his fellow trainee was becoming thanks to his clever styling. Now...let's do a nice little ponytail. Don't worry about it, Noeul, just keep looking at the screen, we'll be done in juuuuust a second.

"Ouch! That hurts," Hanbin winced at the slightest brush around his bruised knee. The (minor) pain was a reminder of his embarrassing stumble during his first concert. Tears threatened to spill from his eyes, but he was fortunate enough to cross paths with Seyoon. Hanbin couldn't have been more grateful for the unexpected run-in and act of kindness.

His white, baggy white pants were rolled up to show the minor graze;barely bleeding. "Thank you, though... This is the worst. I should just go home..." Hanbin, who had only recently joined the label, was excited to expand his social circle and connect with new people. Hanbin felt a sense of eagerness to get to know Seyoon better and maybe that's why he fell on his knees.

The loud, thumping sounds from the concert venue echoed outside as he sat along a curb for Seyoon to take a look. "It's bad, isn't?"

Byeongkwan's got to give it to Jinseo.

Sure, he considers himself relatively reformed. Once some lazy trainee in the back of the practice room, twiddling his thumbs and sketching rough ( oh, so rough ) drawings of the coaches, has turned into somewhat of a star pupil. Engaged, asking the right questions, minimally distracted. Not there was really all that much to be distracted by in their particular group ( no offense to the other guys - not his type ).

But it does take a particular amount of skill to get Byeongkwan excited to learn about something outside of his immediate wheelhouse, especially when it comes to acting of any sort. He's always found it somewhat of a necessary annoyance when it came to idol training, but surely it'd pay off in the end. At least for now, he's found the whole ordeal pretty entertaining. And something about their last few meetings has him wanting to go the extra mile and put in some extra after hours practice before their evaluations.

"Sorry for the wait, Jinseo wouldn't let me snag the magic box, so we'll have to settle for my magic gymbag," Byeongkwan gestures to the bag hanging off his shoulder with a flourish as he joins Seyoon at a table placed in the corner of the practice room. He unzips it just wide enough for Seyoon's hand to slip inside without revealing its questionable contents.

though surprised, more than anything, daisy was just ecstatic to be able to take her friend on a mini adventure, even if it was just to some amusement park. "oh, you don't have to worry about any of that. i'll take care of it!" not that tickets were cheap but it was her idea, and she wanted him to enjoy the experience to the fullest. the girl slides next to him, peeking to see what's on his phone. "now i wanna go to all..." burdened by the power of choice and theme park wisdom, the girl genuinely looks distressed but knows it would be better for her to decide. "we should probably go to the normal one first. then we can go to something more interesting later on." snapping back into the spot she was in earlier, femme nods at him. "are you free tomorrow? it'll probably be too crowded on the weekends."

              each  question  earns  a  shake  of  his  head  ,  humored  in  the  way  she  seems  so  surprised  by  his  lack  of  experience.  there  were  a  lot  of  things  in  this  world  he'd  yet  to  get  his  hands  on  —  growing  up  didn't  offer  nearly  as  many  opportunities  as  life  did  once  he'd  reached  college.  “  well  you  seemed  more  shocked  about  the  theme  park  ,  so  i  feel  like  i'm  missing  out  on  more  there.  do  we  have  to  buy  something  beforehand  ?  is  it  expensive  ?  ”  a  phone  is  pulled  from  his  pocket  then  and  curiosity  works  theme  parks  near  me  into  the  search  bar.  “  oh  ?  there's  so  many  .  .  there's  a  water  park  ,  a  zoological  one  —  or  do  you  just  like  the  regular  amusement  parks  ?  what  would  you  recommend  for  someone's  first  time  ?  ”

emi knows she's a trainee, but even with the strict schedule, the promises of working on, and the classes they had to take, she liked to make sure her routine wasn't too strict that it felt like nothing interesting was going on. so for her day in the life, she really wanted to make sure it was the best that it could be, from the very moment she opened her eyes until her head hit the pillow once again.

calming music starts in the beginning, an instrumental of a sunbaenim's song, as she does first things first; she always makes her bed(truly, she is happy she's senior enough to have the only single bed), and quietly does a stretching routine while making sure not to wake anyone up before she's heading into the next phase of getting ready. it only takes a moment to put on the kettle, and while she's waiting for the infamous high-pitched whistle(an almost 100% sign that emi had finally risen from her slumber, there's a brief 'getting ready routine'. she clips up hair that is probably in need of a trim, still as dark as ever, before she's moving to brush her teeth, wash her face, and even do a little bit of skincare, before she's moving like an expert-- a snap later and she's in her attire for the day. it's nothing unusual from her traditional outfits except for a pop of color-- a pair of dark sweat cargo pants and a cropped henley that's red to match red and white sambas, along with her hair in a high ponytail.

breakfast is like clockwork-- the kettle only whistles for less than a second before she's picking it up, pouring it into her signature mug with a tea bag and the faintest hint of honey. her breakfast is simple, tomato and egg, along with rice, while she journals in her planner, a notebook that happens to go with her everywhere, and then, she's packing a bag with ease and heading to her first classes of the day.

she lets people make their various cameos-- zoe, of course, along with maylin and taeha make brief appears as she goes about her day. she meets with some of her radio crew while having lunch, and even passes by seyoon for a brief hello in it all. in between that of course, is perhaps a side of emi that's a little less seen-- hair put up by a chopstick as she goes over performances for fam con, as well making sure to keep up with english. it's a collage of her personality meshing with everything as well, clips cut in a way that shows how she thinks about it all. there's actually, a rare direct speaking to the camera, preferring to write out captions about what was happening in a cute font, or even let her face do all the talking. when the day is finally done, she's moving to eat dinner, having a special treat of sushi before she's stretching once more, having a much needed shower and hair routine, and waving to the camera before the lights-- and the camera-- go dark and she flops into bed.

when will our siwoo go on more variety shows, he so so so deserves to be on one every weekㅠㅠ seriously, if any writers are reading this right now, please book him.. you won’t regret it! i can promise your ratings will jump up so much, almost out of the roof!! mystery’s siwoo is not only handsome but smart and so fun to watch. i still rewatch every episode of abnormal summit he was onㅠㅠ also isn’t mystery coming back next month?! i can’t wait... siwoo, should i open up another bank account just to save money so i can spend it all on you? 히히 if you keep being so perfect, you leave me with no choice!

Home-less starter for @xseaofrosesx​ ft Daehyun & Seyoon 

“It’s cold-” Daehyun mutters to himself, fingers peeking past the sleeve cuffs of his hoodie as they curl in close and he lightly huffs a breath across the cold skin, in the vain hope of bringing some warmth to his extremities. Curling his knobbly knees up tighter against his chest, thin limbs try to conserve what heat they can as the chilly, cloudless sky sends shivers wracking through his body. He should be getting used to this, when will he ever get used to this?

Folding his arms around his knees, Daehyun rests his cheek against them as he lets his eyes roam the park around him, enjoying the birds as they hop down from low branches to jump across the grass in search of seeds or worms. “I wish I could eat worms” he grumbles absentmindedly to himself, before chuckling gently to himself with a small shake of his head. Was he really saying birds had it better than him? Well, at least they could build their own nests... 

He’s not going to sit here and feel sorry about himself too much longer, it’s not going to make him any warmer after all.

⸻ DOUBLE DARE ( ft. @seyoonlgc )

backdated fall 2022.

It was only supposed to be a few drinks with a few friends. When was the last time they all had the chance to hang out together, anyway? Summer, maybe? A night like this was long overdue and who was Byeongkwan to deny his acquaintances the pleasure of his company? That would just be selfish.

And it was all going according to plan too. A few drinks, a few friends. Good food, good laughs - All the makings of a wholesome night. But then a few became many. Then many become more. And then even more after that. More friends, more drinks, more - When did they even leave the restaurant? At least the bar was nice - Oh, another bar? Of course, more drinks - A club?! He probably shouldn't be here - Alright, maybe just for a little while. He kept to himself in a quiet corner, unheard and relatively unseen. It wasn’t long before he could barely keep up with the ongoing side conversations ( it wasn’t like the small talk was all that interesting to begin with ). Didn't help the music there was absolute trash. Even if he could maneuver his body well enough in this state to catch a rhythm it would be a total waste of energy. He was getting fucking bored. Which meant it was time to find another source of entertainment. 

Now he doesn’t really remember suggesting the idea in the first place - and even if he did he’s certain the groupchat was already conspiring to blame their current predicament on him anyway. Gaslighting, much? But playing a quick game of dare or dare was still a much better way to spend his time than getting shut down by random girls at the bar who clearly didn't appreciate his drunk soccer puns... His buddy was also keeping the score, so by default his team is up by at least 4 points - that is until they realized the guy could barely remember his own phone number right now let alone keep a fair count. Chaos ensues trying to determine the true winners, only for each team to settle on a final compromise. The strongest competitors from each team ( i.e. the two that could still form coherent sentences ) would go head to head in one last challenge.

So, Byeongkwan finds himself sprinting ( stumbling...? scrambling…? ) towards the abandoned building up ahead. Did he remember what it was exactly that he was supposed to be doing once he got inside? No. Didn’t matter either, as long as Seyoon led the way and he made sure to scoop a victory from him at the very last second. A very logical strategy. He gives the younger male a head start, watching him pass through the makeshift entrance clearly marked no trespassing while their friends cheer wildly from the street. “Hope you’re not afraid of the dark,” he snorts, ducking in closely behind him.
