Villain With A Crush

My current Webtoon read for an end of a week laugh is Villain With A Crush:

- Superheroes and villains

- Secret identities

- Meeting each other and falling in love without knowing about a certain someone’s secret identity (calling all Miraculous Ladybug lovers)

- Socially awkward blondies who just want to go to school and be a normal teenager (again, calling all ML lovers)

- Socially awkward girlies

- A loyal best friend

- Sweet parental figures romance

- LOTS of misunderstandings

- Girl’s basically got a cult going on

- ABS (if you know, you know)

This is literally the most wholesome Webtoon.

Other than a couple of the biggins, like Lore Olympus, I never really got into Webtoons. Villain with a Crush has me thoroughly hooked though. Its a great romantic-comedic take on "world where some people have superpowers". I absolutely adore the protag, Rosa, and relate to her so much. Not the amazing superpowers, but just being a total disaster of a human being. Her grandmother is also is just the best. Dont think Ive encountered any characters I dislike and pretty much everyone has given me at least a chuckle here and there.

  they say the eyes are the window to the soul.

  they say if you gaze long into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.

  seyoon’s eyes are darker these last few nights. what was once a mischievous, reflective glint is now boundless, colourless pit. when he peers into them, he finds himself sinking. he feels the depths consume him, fingers splayed across his nape, dragging him in deeper.

  and he doesn’t resist.

  he lets himself fall, lets himself sink. ambiguity intrigues him. uncertainty is an ever familiar foe. he wants to understand. he wants to peel back the layers, strip skin from bone, and see the boy hidden beneath the mask of man. the boy on the cliff. the scared one. the resentful one. that one.

  “your parents.”

  outside, a lone cloud drifts away. moonlight streams in through thin veils, illuminating the side of the bed where seyoon lies.

  “what were they like?”

  he had asked before – shallowly – about family, about friends, about where seyoon came from and where he wished to go. the answers he received back then satiated his curiosity, but they didn’t satisfy him. there’s more to seyoon than what meets the eye. he wants to know how deep this abyss goes.

Kim Seyoon was up in a tree.

Wait, what? Why?

"Jaejin! Jaejin!" A voice called persistently among the leaves. "Come spot me. I have a feeling there are coins hidden up here. My senses are tingling."

Did he know Jaejin? Not really. They were both on Team Unknown and got tossed into the Fall Boys project together, but Seyoon hadn't gotten a chance to chat the guy up. Well, this was as good of an opportunity as any to start the friendship. Seyoon loved people - especially good-looking ones - and was ready to get to know all the fine men and women of Legacy.

"Just watch me for two seconds, it's been a while since I've done this" Seyoon took hold of a branch and tested it for strength. He wanted to use it to swing himself up, so he could check if coins were stashed among the higher branches. In hindsight, this was a bit of an obscure hiding place. Chances were, none of the three team leaders would choose a hiding place this difficult because they were nice...still. Seyoon gotta follow his instincts.

Sehyoon and Y/n sat outside on a bench near the restaurant, but Sehyoon could see that Y/n was shivering from the cold breeze, so he took his jacket and put it to Y/n's shoulders. Y/n blushed, and said the most quiet and shy thank you to him. He sort of was trying to make small talk with you by asking questions like how are you, how do you feel, if you are better than before etc.., but he was also stuttering trying his words to make sense. You were reassuring him that you are definitely feeling better after that horrible event, and that he helped you overcome the awful nightmares and made you feel comfortable, of course you mentioned that his friends are also really nice to you and Vicky, but Sehyoon was feeling sort of proud that he is the one that made you feel a lot better than before, he just didn't want to admit. So that gave him some sort of confidence boost of him still wanting to pursue you to be more than friends. He noticed that you still had little shivers and goosebumps over your arms and legs, so he quietly suggested you should try sitting on the bench like you sat in the car that night, and you remembered that night you were leaning really close to his chest with your legs over his lap, but you were sitting on the carseat. So you shyly just nodded and agreed. You tried to adjust your posture and Sehyoon sort of gently helped you out by holding your waist, and you definitely felt a shiver at that moment. You were very sure it was not from the cold breeze, it was actually from Sehyoon's gentle hands and the way they fit perfectly onto your tiny little waist. When your head got closer to his, you tried to lean into his chest, but he put his hand on your jaw and lifted your head to meet with his gaze and he said:"I want you to look at me just for a little bit.." You felt your cheeks started to burn at that point and you couldn't help yourself to look anywhere else besides his eyes. You couldn't dare to meet his eyes at that exact moment. You felt your heart started going even faster than before. You haven't even noticed it was already beating fast, but now you definitely felt every little detail. You sort of tried to lean your head onto his shoulder and he seemed okay with that. So you sort of looked into his eyes, more confident this time, and you could feel his warmth spreading and taking over you. He let you have your moment in silence and had his beautiful smile on his face, but after a couple of minutes, he lifted your head again, this time more determined and his expression changed to serious. He gently and really slowly started leaning towards you, not moving his eyes away from yours, just to sort of silently confirm that you are okay with his actions. Once he was sure you are okay with it and not moving away, he leaned even more and touched his forehead with yours. He cupped your face gently into his warm, big hands, and said really quietly:"Y/n I want to kiss you so bad right now.."

now, if there was one thing to know about seyeon, is that he loved kids. perhaps it was the whole idea of falling back into that childhood era of his life, where he sort of, kind of missed out on the younger version of himself. he spent so much of his childhood focused on swimming that he never really gave himself the real opportunity to just be a normal, carefree kid and missed out on so much. so this was the perfect opportunity to relive those young years of his life, even if he was a twenty six year old man playing hide and seek tag playing with a bunch of children.

he's hanging out with seyoon when a group of children plead and beg to play a game of hide and seek tag, some of their tiny little fists latched onto their clothes and giving them both their best pleading, puppy dog eyes and how could seyeon say no?

he decides to tease them slightly, humming dramatically as he pretends to contemplate whether to agree or not. "hmm... i don't know.. are you guys going to be really good at it?" seyeon teases playfully, watching their reactions and a small chuckle slips from him, but he's quick to fight it away. "hmm.. i don't know..." seyeon shoots seyoon a small side eye, hinting to start counting down from 10.

it's been a while since nathan's been in a recording studio – he guesses, technically, he was in one before 'nostalgia' aired so they'd have proper backing tracks for their performances, but since he left type zero, this is his first time recording a song for an official release.

they're recording for their theme song 'young boy', and nathan hums along to himself as he scribbles some last minute notes on his lyrics sheet. beside him is seyoon, someone nathan hasn't interacted much with before but is set to record before him. "feeling nervous at all?" he asks in pursuit of casual conversation as they both wait their turn.

It’s a celebration! Hanbin eagerly invites Seyoon over to his older brother’s penthouse in Mapo district for a special home-cooked meal to celebrate Seyoon making it to fall boys. And by home-cooked meal, Hanbin means he'll hire a private chef to take care of the meal.

That way, the two of them could relax in the living room, eat, play video games, drink, talk. The chef sets up a Korean BBQ feast, filling the table with a variety of dishes.

“Do you mind if I live vicariously through you for a bit?” Hanbin teases, giggling as he picks at his bulgogi. “That’s why you have to do well, hyung! I’ll cheer you on one hundred percent!”

Nothing can compare to the pride Hanbin feels for Seyoon. He deserves this win, deserves the world, and in Hanbin’s eyes, there’s no one more deserving.

“Promise you won’t forget all about me when you’re all big and famous?” Hanbin says, a wide grin stretching across his face before taking a bite.
