Once Upon a Time...

Do you like fairy tales but find yourself wishing they weren't always so hetero-normative?

You're not alone. That's why we feel it's time to shake things up a bit and give some of these stories an LGBT+ update.

And that's exactly what this event is looking to do! This summer we invite you to re-imagine a classic story, or come up with one all your own, starring Fairy Tail characters!

Event Information

Dates: August 23 - August 26

Submissions: Anything that inspires you - art, fics of any length, poetry, aesthetics, edits, head canons, etc.. Both ship and platonic entries are welcome. The most important aspect is that the piece focus on an LGBT+ character(s).

Prompts: We've chosen two different tropes for each day from here that we thought might be fun, but you are welcome to pick others if they inspire you more!

Day 1 (Friday): Cursed ✦ True Love's Kiss

Day 2 (Saturday): Other Dimension ✦ Impossible Quest

Day 3 (Sunday): Abandoned Child ✦ Surprise Royalty

Day 4 (Monday): Forbidden Love ✦ (Un)Happily Ever After

Event Tag: Use the tag FTOUAT in your first five so that we can see it!

General Rules: No character bashing, pedophilia or incest, all content must be previously unpublished and original to the blog posting it. Tag all content appropriately for triggers.

being insane abt liu xiao in the specific way i am is sooo funny and also so tragic bc it's like well i do in fact have infinite nuanced thoughts and his nightmare codeswitching has captured me for a category 1 blorbo moment and i think the majority of the fandom is literally lying about him (-> aroace nb adrenaline junkie fratricidal horsegirl to me forever idk what the rest of u are doing). unfortunately if u want to unlock the most coherent of those thoughts from me, u have to open up my ao3 where veinxiao are literally doing weird sex rituals about it.

Despite the delay, we can’t wait to see what all of the incredibly talented and unique members of our community come up with this year! Once again, we will be bringing in the new year with this event! Just as we did last year, we’re celebrating everything about the unique and rarer sides of our favourite, strongest fairies – and those they love. From simply rare lovely het ships to exciting and beautiful LGBT+ ships, we can’t wait to see what the talented artists, writers, and general content creators make for this week!

Want to participate or simply see the work of the Fairy Tail Community’s talented creators for these incredible fairies? All you have to do is share! From December the 26th to January the 1st, we will be here, and we will be ready!

Lila and Oliver met purely by accident when she needed help with something, most likely a very casual place such as a supermarket where Lila was too tired to even make sure that the co-worker gave her the right charge and he corrects them so they'd pay the rest. It'd stay like that, but he tried to talk to her a little more because 1. She looked pretty tired and perhaps needed some help and 2. She was very pretty overall,,

She ended up not accepting any help but did offered her number since they had a nice conversation, and slowwly they were talking more and more, going from texts, to seeing each other, to Lila actually inviting him over! He'd do it aswell but his house is MISERABLE and Louis didn't even know about her-

Either way he was getting closer to her, consequently to Skid aswell, BUT lying regards a few things on his life such as telling Lila that he works in a simple store and NOT telling that he's a thief, and a lot more like his house, family, etc, he was just scared that it'd startle her.

AND FINALLYYYY after lots of trust and talks and helps, they fell for each other. Took longer for Lila to accept and let her fears aside but once it happened they started dating, and it was just what she needed. Just wholesomeness, someone there to help with the house and her son, and he's just a normal guy!!! Apparently

Yea, no. Just like the cult demanded, both of the thieves began to steal Lila's house after Skiddad's stuff, which Oliver did tried to avoid and resulted in NOTHING but himself being scolded. He felt super guilty already for stressing his girlfriend even more without her knowledge and the DOUBLE of guilt upon finding out that the oh so traumatizing husband that she had was actually his leader.

Oliver began to be even more affectionate and caring with her to try compensating how much of an ASS he's being (despite doing it unwillingly), to the point where he gave up and told Louis about her since he was spending more time outside than at home without even updating Louis. His brother keeps telling that he has to tell her the truth to not upset her but Oliver is way too scared for that. If Lila ever finds out that Oliver knew all of those things and never told her she'd try her best to understand his side of things but also be completely devastated that once more she has been betrayed by someone she loved.

“Whatcha talking about?” Funnily enough, they both froze too when Lucy appeared, either about to start her shift or already taking a break, and sat beside Louisa so the two girls were facing Poe. The redhead only really greeted her, more precisely by giving Louisa a hug, so it stood to reason she had been there for a certain while and had met him earlier on. “I– well…” Telling Lucy about the whole thing, when Lucy herself was the catalyst of her situation in the first place, wasn’t something Louisa was ready to do. And it obviously showed, given how not only had she started struggling with her words, but also seemed like it was beginning to show on her face too given the heat spreading through it.
