ik this isn't new or anything but the fact that aside from morty, the whole smith/sanchez house is canonically queer is so freaking cool! seriously how did this show amass so many anti sjw reddit ass men as a fanbase when 80% of the main characters are queer? i think summer got a female love interest in 2019 and beth's whole sapphic horse girl thing happened last season, but jerry and rick have been canon since season 2.

Just an FYI about Akito for newer Fruits Basket fans or ones who have never seen the 01 Version (and have no plans to do so), because I'm seeing a revionism thing happening over on the Fruits Basket reddit page (and have had to debate this with like two people so far, even someone who has seen the 01 version, but may be a newer fan)....

Akito is a guy in the 01 anime.

Point blank.

Just because the 01 anime ended before Akito's gender reveal in the manga and reboot series, doesn't mean that 01 Akito was living under the guise of being a man. He was literally a man.

Towards the end of the 01 anime, we got a clear shot of his male chest - no bindings of any kind, just a flat male chest. I remember I used to get so angry at that shot, because I was like, "You! You are the main reason why we can't have a second season of Fruits Basket and why the later content will never be animated!" Teen me used to be pissed about that, lmao.

But, even without that scene, Akito was given a deep, male voice and is a man in the 01 anime. This has been a known fact for ages now, trying to say otherwise is just straight up revisionist.

I know at the end of the day it's not *that* big of a deal, but it is important to remember that this is one of the key reasons (storywise) why a second season of Fruits Basket 01 was never going to happen. They changed a lot of stuff in general with the True Form Arc, but not so much that a second season could not have happened in some way. But Akito's gender got messed up too and that was way too big and important to the series to be overlooked or retconned in a hypothetical Season 2 for the 01 anime (if it had chosen to follow the plot).

Also, Akito wearing a women's kimono in the 01 anime doesn't mean much of anything either. Not in a series with Ritsu, Ayame, and Momiji. Plus, Fai in TRC wore a women's kimono too, that just indicated to us fans that he was gay and in a relationship with Kurogane, not anything with his gender. So a guy in anime wearing a female kimono doesn't necessarily indicate anything about gender.

I know at the end of the day it isn't that big of a deal. But there are some key differences between the reboot and 01 anime and this is one of them.

Psychic goth girl who was cast as Cinderella in a school play. The play was so poorly cast overall that the entire script had to be rewritten, thus “Cinderella-ish” was born. Hanajima played a Cinderella dressed in all black, and when confronted by the fairy godmother, she simply wished for meat.

idk if this is what you meant by 'acting' as Cinderella but in-universe she got cast as Cinderella in the school play, and the characters ended up re-writing the entire play to work around her because she was too Goth and disinterested to play a classic Cinderella character.

She plays the best version of Cinderella. All she cared about was going to the ball for the barbecue. The episode she's in is a really good one as well.

Overall Saki is not a Cinderella character, but you did say we could submit them if they were Cinderella in an in-universe play, and that she was! In Season 2 Episode 23 "It's Cinderella-ish", her class puts on a production of Cinderella and she ends up getting cast as the titular role, which a lot of other characters think is crazy because she's this straight-faced, emotionally-repressed, exclusively-wears-black kinda girl. Also her best friend Tohru (the anime's protagonist) gets cast as an evil stepsister, and she's one of the sweetest people ever and has so much trouble being mean to Saki even fakely and vice versa. Of course, Saki has no problems being rude to the Prince Charming character in the play, played by Kyo, a guy who's sweet deep down (but only to Tohru and his adoptive father) but is other wise a hot head who's always getting into fights. So between Saki as Cinderella having a genuine love for her stepsister and a general animosity with the prince, in addition to the fact that when she goes to the ball, all she wants to do is eat, not mingle, she makes for a very interesting Cinderella.

so this shoujo series has a storyline where the class puts on a Cinderella play but instead of the heroine playing Cinderella, shenanigans happen that lead to the heroine's goth best friend, Saki Hanajima, aka Hana-chan, aka Demon Queen, playing the lead role. Hana-chan's Cinderella dresses in all black against the wishes of the play's director, does not give 2 shits about the prince, and is just a general menace to society. I know she's probably not gonna win but I just wanted to share her with all of you bc I love her and the Cinderella-ish arc is to this day some of the funniest shit I've seen in a manga

their high school class decided to randomize who played which characters in their production of Cinderella & the creepy goth girl got cast as Cinderella & her painfully kind-hearted bestie got cast as the evil stepsister (among other mismatched roles) so they rewrote the play into "Sorta Cinderella" & Cinderella became a deadpan, lazy girl who only wants the best for her darling step-sister & who only went to the ball for the food.  in the end, instead of marrying the prince she takes his money & opens a restaurant with her sister & I love that for them <3

Her Persona is Cinderella. Her story is about disguising herself as another person to gain acceptance.

Her persona is Cendrillon, the French name for Cinderella and the name of an opera based on the story, and it mirrors her arc in the game. When you boil her down to the essentials, she essentially made a wish that was granted by her....... fairy godtherapist to go from pauper (bland and talentless depressed Sumire) to princess (her dead sister Kasumi, bubbly, personable star gymnast). As far as she sees it, even, it's this transformation that helps her 'get the prince' (read: befriend the protagonist). Why should she win, though? Umm because she's my baby my angel my sweetie my cherub specialist character in fiction and most important girl in the universe. Out of love in your heart for me, tumblr user [REDACTED], vote for her.

GOD I LOVE HER SO MUCH ok ok ok everyone here's my autism. Major spoilers as you get closer to the end btw! - She has three personas, in order they go: Cendrion, Vanadis, Ella. The first and last are taken from Cinderella, with Cendrion being the german name for Cinderella, and of course Ella just being a shortened form of Cinderella. - She does gymnastics, although a lot of her phantom thief design is heavily based off of ballet as well! In particular the black swan mimicking the white swan, and while of course that's not cinderella, it does remind me of how Cinderella was treated in the beginnings of the story - Cinderella and her both have major sibling trauma! It's a huge point about her character. Major spoilers, but she pretends to be her older sister Kasumi for most of the game; the sad truth is that she's in fact the younger sister Sumire. She's pretending to be her older sister because she can't deal with the trauma of that day she ran out into traffic and her sister got hit instead of her. (It does not help that her therapist uses eldritch god powers to gaslight her into thinking she is her sister.) - They're both pretty and also I love sumi so much she's everything to me. unironically the character of all time NOT FOR PROPAGANDA but for mod: image because it can be awkward to find one: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/UyOsg26GnZU/maxresdefault.jpg also!!!! if you're interested in not potentially spoiling people you should call her Kasumi Yoshizawa. If you aren't worried about that though and want to be accurate, Sumire Yoshizawa is better. Or just call her Violet because that's her codename!

Initially introduced as Kasumi, she is a dorky and sweet first-year student who looks up to the protagonist as a mentor and eventually joins the Phantom Thieves in figuring out the fake reality they're trapped in. However, it's revealed that she's actually Kasumi's sister Sumire, who was always stuck in her more talented sister's shadow and yearned to be Kasumi. Unfortunately, she got her wish when her sister died saving her and her therapist brainwashed her into believing herself to be Kasumi. With help from the protagonist, Sumire realizes she was holding herself back and breaks free from her false identity, embracing her true self and rebelling against the hollow utopia. Her initial Persona--an embodiment of her true self--is Cendrillon, and her third tier ultimate Persona is Ella.

Sumire dosen't just pretends to be her dead sister, she was brainwashed into believing to be her by the final act's main villain/her fairy godfather figure, because that was her (misguided by trauma) wish as she believed that her sister was better than her. The final acts has a lot of 'making wishes come true' theme that connects her to Cinderella even more, also she does have a bit of 'save by the prince' thing going on with the game's protagonist

Miraculous Ladybug birth years and ages

So, I'm sure this must have been pointed out before but as a Fruits Basket reader, I adore the Chinese zodiac and enjoy figuring out characters' ages and birth years when they reveal their Chinese zodiac. Spoiler alert for season 3 of Miraculous Ladybug!

With that said, during "Ikari Gozen", at the very end of the episode, Marinette asks Kagami about her Chinese zodiac. Kagami says her zodiac is the dragon (which, by the way, was really well thought because she receives the dragon miraculous and everything just fits so well because the 12 miraculous from the bottom drawers of the Guardian's box are the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. And I fangirl about it so much. Sorry.) So that means, according to this neat little chart I took off of Google, that Kagami was born in 2000.

That means that now in 2023, she is 22-23 years old depending on her b-day.

Now moving on to Marinette. She says her sign is snake which means she was born in 2001 and that makes sense because, if we assume that the show takes place in 2015, she's 14. And everything now matches. So now, Marinette is 21-22 years old.

TL;DR: The whole teen cast can be assumed to be between 21 and 24 years old in 2023. They were between 13 and 16 in 2015, which we may assume is when the story takes place. After all, despite being 5 seasons and roughly 8 years, it's only been a few months since Marinette and Adrien got their respective miraculous.

Again, this must have been pointed out already but I haven't seen it and really wanted to share this. I hope this post made sense. Anyways, I'm quite late to the fandom because I, unfortunately, stopped watching when Season 2 started coming out and only picked it back up now. So, this may be common knowledge and I just don't know about it. If you reached this point of the post, thanks for reading!!

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do, though not every comment - usually if they're just like "Part Two!" or "More plz!" I tend not to reply to those. I tend to worry about looking like I'm purposefully boosting my comment number by replying to them all.

What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending? Definitely "as the stars explode".

What’s the fic you've written with the happiest ending? I'm not sure, most of my fics are smut oneshots so I guess hitting the big O is a happy ending. "The Gift" was a pretty happy ending for Grimmjow and Reader.

Do you write crossovers? Not usually but that doesn't necessarily mean I never will.

Have you ever received hate on a fic? Yes. Once I got a particularly stupid one about some girl getting salty that I spoiled a character's death - a character that had only appeared in the manga, so as an anime-only watcher she shouldn't have even been reading about him since she shouldn't know who he is if she hadn't already seen some spoilers.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? I think it's pretty much all I write lol. I'm trying to branch out a bit but I worry people feel cheated with no sexy payoff.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? I have, though this was back in like 2015 of a fandom I'm not naming out of embarrassment, and they reposted it to ff.net. Luckily I don't think Reader Inserts are permitted there so I'm assuming it got deleted anyway.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, a couple of times! Mostly into Russian.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, though my Peaky Blinders OC fic is based off an RP I was doing with my friend, so some of it was partly written by her, which I'm repurposing with her permission. <3

What's your all-time favorite ship? I tend to not get too involved with shipping because I like ships that are more unusual and get tired of the same super-popular pairing getting shoved down my neck. That being said, I am forever salty Peaky Blinders set up Tommy/May in Season 2 and then inexplicably just sorta dropped it because May's actress got preggers. (I want them to finally get together for the movie so badly but I'm not holding out much hope.)

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will? I like to think once my hyperfixation kicks in I'll go back to some fics I've ditched but I find multichapter stories difficult to commit to. I do want to continue with my Demon!Dabi story and that Dazai one I wrote one chapter of and then ditched. What are your writing strengths? I think I'm fairly good at dialogue and I try to put unique twists on concepts I've seen done before. I personally also enjoy the personalities I give to my Readers, I'm a bit picky with Readers in Reader Inserts (I hate it when they're either super passive and meek or aggressive af for no reason).

What are your writing weaknesses?

I think I have a bad tendency to skip a lot of exposition because I want to jump to dialogue. I also sometimes worry my writing is too beige prose-y and I should take my time a bit more. Also I am awful at finishing multichapter fics because I get distracted so easily. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I guess it depends on how it's used? I quite like it when people write characters with accents, I think it adds a nice flavour to stories. What was the first fandom you wrote for? Fruits Basket and Naruto lol. What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to I have a bunch of like, half-started Billy Butcher x Reader concepts but he's such a hard character to write for. I think it's because I don't get to discuss him nearly as much as Homelander. What's your favorite fic you've written? I'm personally pretty fond of "I'm neon phosporescent" for Dabi being a kinky bastard and "stardust in my eyes" as my first foray into The Boys.

The Attack on the Commune — Do not read this part if easily triggered by gore/mild descriptions of blood and death

I clipped the stem of a fresh tomato, making sure not to cut too close to the leaves. I had promised to try making an actual meal tonight. Most of the time, the only one who ever cooked was Viktor—and he only really cooked during breakfast time. The rest of our diet just consisted of raw vegetables, fruit, bread, and yogurt. I didn’t mind not having a chef or going out to eat, but there was only so long that I could go without having any of my food warm and fresh out of the oven. 

Naturally, Viktor suggested that I get whatever I could out of the garden, and we plan our meal based on that—and I made him compromise by promising to get me at least one of two things from outside our home. We had settled on spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce and chopped veggies stirred into it. Apparently, it was a rare occasion when Viktor’s parents would make him spaghetti and not put chopped onions and peppers into it. The quality wasn’t amazing, but he said that he felt like it was their way of trying to ensure that he had the best diet possible with what they could afford. It was weird to have him talk about his past when he hardly ever opened up about anything unless he had to. 

Once the basket started feeling a bit too heavy for my wrist, I headed inside and unpacked all of the veggies into their respective piles on the counter. I had initially wanted Jayce to be on wash duty while I chopped the veggies, but Viktor insisted that the other man help him with his rounds today since I wouldn’t be able to. It was frustrating. Jayce and I often switched places at Viktor’s side during the day because he insisted that it was a waste of time and resources for one of us not to be home doing things that the others couldn’t—and as The Herald of this place, he wasn’t going to be the one staying behind. 

I didn’t mind doing the chores around the house sometimes as long as I wasn’t suddenly being excluded from helping the commune all together, but on the days where I stayed home instead of Jayce, I always found myself quite bored. No matter who went with Viktor, one of us always ended up alone. I hadn’t realized just how much I liked being in their presence until I was the one who had to stay behind for the first time. However, Jayce never complained when I was the one who went with Viktor, so I figured that it was best not to say anything—I didn’t want to be unfair, and this seemed like the fairest arrangement we could think of at the time. 

I grabbed an onion first, turning the sink water on and pulling back the skin on the vegetable. I winced a little bit as the ice-cold water hit my fingertips and dribbled from the top of the onion into my palm. The sink and the pools in the house seemed to run on two completely separate water grids—the sink water was almost always ice cold, but the pool water made me sweat like I was in a hot spring every time. I was just about to put the onion on a carefully folded towel as I heard a high-pitched shriek make its way through the commune. 

I dropped the vegetable, my body instantly straightening before relaxing once the sound stopped. Maybe one of the community members just scared one of the others by accident—it wasn’t typical behavior, but it wasn’t impossible. The only issue with that theory was that it only took another moment before the screaming started back, and it wasn’t just one person that time. It had to have been at least ten different people screaming in pure terror, followed by the sound of heavy footsteps pounding against hard ground. The commune was being invaded. 

I ran as fast as I could out of the house, trying to get a glimpse of what was happening on the outside—and the sight in front of me was horrifying: soldiers adorned in Noxus colors were spearing through commune members one by one. Viktor was headed straight for the house, coming around from behind. He had a hole in his side, but there was no blood and this was the first time I realized that Viktor was actually capable of being hurt after his ascension. 

I wrapped my arm around his shoulder, helping him indoors and leading him to the main area that still remained mostly empty apart from the tendrils that connected to the ceiling. “What happened? How did they get in?”

“I don’t know,” His voice was less steady than usual. He sounded like he was in pain. This was the first time in a long time that his voice had reminded me of when he was suffering from what appeared to be Tuberculosis. “We were helping one of the younger members of the commune find a metal when an arrow came out of nowhere and hit Jayce in the shoulder.”

“Jayce is hurt?” My brows furrowed as I sat him down on the floor, backing up as the tendrils snapped to his skin so hard that I wouldn’t be surprised if they had left lash marks on his upper back. 

Viktor nodded before gesturing to the bedroom, “Go get the hammer. He ran to that split trail in the mountain on the outside of the commune, the one he found his way here from. That’s probably also where your mother set up camp. Be careful.”

“What are you going to do here?” I hesitated before I started to walk in the direction he was pointing. A part of me felt guilty for leaving him behind in such a state, but I knew that Jayce was in a more vulnerable position than he was as someone who’s human body couldn’t be compromised in order for him to live. 

“I’m going to get them ready,” He answered vaguely.

I retrieved the hammer before raising an eyebrow at him while heading to the door, “Getting who ready? What are you talking about?”

“I fear this is one of those things that you aren’t welcome to question me on, Mel. I hope that you can understand why,” His voice was stern but not angry. 

I didn’t understand, but I wasn’t going to waste my time arguing during an active stage of battle. I left without saying another word, forgetting to even tell Viktor to be safe as I slipped through different areas of the commune. Viktor had taught me how to teleport around like this. I wasn’t sure how he knew which abilities I possessed considering I wasn’t even aware of who my father was, but he did a good job at teaching me how to control my skills during active stress. I made sure not to overexert myself, starting to feel dizzy as I teleported for the seventh time—the only issue with the ability was that I could only go a certain distance before the arcane flow got cut off, making me have to teleport multiple times in a row in order to reach a faraway destination. I finally made it to the edge of the narrow valley, needing to take a break and hold onto the edge of the mountain as I caught my breath and tried not to vomit. 

I stayed there for a minute, desperately holding onto the hammer as I tried not to drop it in my moment of disorientation. I finally straightened myself and trudged into the valley, keeping my eyes open for my kind-of-lover-kind-of-friend and mother. I only hoped that I would manage to find him before she did. I knew my mother, and one of the main things she instilled in me during my youth was the fact that she had no tolerance for insolence and would show no mercy to someone who she saw as being in her way. Right now, we were in her way—whether it be due to me turning her away or us possessing some kind of weapon she wanted, I didn’t know.

After about eight minutes of walking, I finally saw the beige tone of Jayce’s skin. He was leaning up against the side of the mountain, breathing heavily as he held onto his right bicep. I started running toward him as fast as I could, ignoring the burning sensation in my lungs and feet and my grip started to slip around the handle of Jayce’s Hextech weapon. I screamed, my voice akin to a wailing cat, “Jayce!”

His eyes widened, breathing slowing as he snapped his head in my direction. He looked almost horrified to see me—which was a bit insulting, but I didn’t take it personally as I practically launched the weapon over to him. Despite his confusion and obvious distress, the man’s hands closed around the handle of the hammer effortlessly. It was very obvious that it was crafted specifically for his hand.

“What are you doing here?” He huffed at me, slamming the head of the hammer into the ground, causing the dirt to dent in slightly.

I scowled at him and slapped him on the shoulder before pausing to catch my breath. I leaned against the wall next to him before explaining, “Viktor told me what happened and told me to give you the hammer. He said you were hurt. How bad is it?”

“Worse than I initially thought. I think the arrow might’ve been poisoned,” He admitted before pointing his shoulder directly at me so that I could get a better look at the wound. The area around the pit in his bicep was swollen, bubbling, and changing color. That also explained why Jayce was sweating as much as he was. 

I hesitantly reached out to trace the edge of the wound before flinching away from him, “I’m not sure that I know how to heal people… I don’t think I can help with—”

I was once again rudely interrupted by my mother—only last time, she sent someone to talk to me to try and get help while I was busy working in the commune and this time, she was trying to kill my boyfriend and me. I sensed the arrow before it actually came, quickly forming a shield of light around Jayce and I only seconds before the base of the bolt snapped in half against the invisible barrier. 

I turned around and stared straight at my mother as she walked closer to us. I knew that she was a cruel woman. I knew that she was willing to kill whoever got in her way just to show a message. However, I also thought I knew that she loved me. I never thought that I would be on the receiving end of any major threat on her part. Even if she wasn’t my biggest supporter, a part of me had always believed her when she said that I had to find my own way—and that I was too weak to live with the rest of the Medarda family in Noxus, that her actions were only to protect me. Yet here she was, pointing a weapon at my face and attacking the place I had claimed as my home for seemingly just setting a boundary with her. 

“Is there a reason that you have decided to terrorize me today, Mother?” I sighed a little bit, still holding the forcefield strong without taking my eyes off of her.

Her voice was just as hard as it used to be when she was giving the orders to behead someone for one wrongdoing, not thinking about anything other than the example it would set for future offenders, “If you won’t give me what I want, I’ll just have to take it.”

“And what is it that you want so bad that you’re willing to murder your own child for it?” I gritted my teeth, “Although, I already know the answer to that considering what happened to Kino… You’re looking for a weapon.”

She shifted her arm, aiming the bow at the ground instead of at the shield around us but keeping her grip on it firm just in case she had the opportunity to shoot in the future. “It’s not just a weapon that I’m looking for, Mel. I’m looking for the creator.”

“For Jayce?” I immediately assumed, “We don’t have anything to make more Hextech gadgets with. And he won’t tell you where you can find the materials.”

Jayce shook his head behind me as a way to reiterate what I was saying. We were always on the same page when it came to Hextech, and I was extremely happy that we were on the same page even when our lives were on the line. Otherwise, we would probably both be dead right now based on a false promise of life. 

“The other one,” She corrected me. “This doesn’t have to end badly for either of us, Mel. I don’t want to hurt you, and I don’t want to hurt your little boy toy, either. But when we hit him, we lost sight of The Herald, and I need you to tell me where he is. He is the difference in life and death right now.”

I blinked at her slowly, unsure what she was talking about. “Viktor… He was involved in Hextech, too, but he never supported the creation of any weapons.”

“This has nothing to do with Hextech,” I could tell in her voice that my mother was starting to get frustrated at me. She looked like she would explain more to me, but just as she opened her mouth to speak, a flash of white came up behind her, grabbed her by the throat, and lifted her into the air.

The sight made me immediately drop the shield around Jayce and I, “Mother?”

My eyes widened as her body relaxed. It hadn’t been nearly enough time for her to get choked out yet, but she wasn’t fighting back. I was so in shock that I couldn’t move. I had no idea what was happening. I stayed completely still until I saw the tears rolling down my mother’s face. I lunged at the white, robotic looking creature not long before its free hand balled into a fist and slammed into my chest. 

The punch was heavier than metal, causing me to fall back roughly, scraping my skin along the dirt and letting out a high-pitched shriek. Jayce ran to me, falling onto the ground next to me as he tried to check my injuries and make sure that I wasn’t hurt. He was wasting time. I sat up and reached toward my mother, toward the creature holding her—but my body was on fire and my legs burned so badly from the scrapes that I couldn’t get up. I moved into position to start crawling, but Jayce wrapped his arms around my torso, forcefully holding me back as my mother’s body lifted into the air slightly before falling dead on the ground. 

I couldn’t hear what Jayce was saying to me. I couldn’t hear the screams coming from the commune. I couldn’t hear anything other than the ferocious buzzing in my head as I allowed myself to inhale all of the air I could and just scream. I screamed until it felt like my throat was bleeding. I screamed until I was sure sound stopped coming out. And I continued to scream afterward. 

In all the time that I was sitting in Jayce’s arms, scratching at his hands in a desperate attempt to get to my mother, the creature never attempted to harm Jayce or me. It left, returning to the commune in a matter of seconds following my mother’s quick death. Once it turned pitch black outside, Jayce helped me stand and led me back to the commune, my eyes still wide and mind still empty as we reached the scene. It was horrifying.

People from both sides of the battle were slaughtered. Half of the soldiers from Noxus had no marks on them other than bruises around their necks, signifying that they had died in a similar way to my mother. The other half of the soldiers were completely mangled, their guts spilling from their stomachs and their skin doing them no use as I wasn’t able to tell what was bloodied skin and what was an organ after a while of staring. My vision blurred together with tears that I hardly acknowledged.

Half of the people in the commune had holes in their body—most of them had been shot or stabbed multiple times to ensure they didn’t survive the fight. The other half of the commune was nowhere to be seen. I had assumed Viktor probably hid them somewhere. 

Once we got back in the house, I saw Viktor taking off a bloodied mask shaped similarly to a fox’s head. I still had no words, just silently walking to the bed and throwing myself down to cry. In the back of my head, I knew we had to talk about what happened. I knew that I had to check on the people of the commune. I knew that I had un-chopped vegetables still sitting on the counter in the kitchen, likely attracting flies by now. But I just couldn't deal with it in that moment. I couldn't deal with anything.

Furutsu Basuketto/Fruits Basket (Anime) Critic, opinion, no spoilers

One more of this kind of animes with the “the most boring girl somehow get all the guys” syndrome but a little better than expected. Even when the “reverse harem” tag is more a “2 boys fighting for a girl”...

Music and design? Average. Nohing to point. Some frames look great.

Let’s see the characters:

The girl? Well, is not the holy potato but is FINE. I dislike her original japanese voice (I hate sharp childish voices and she sound as if she is 4 years old) and is also very plain in some aspects, like, damn low reaction, is half of the time just watching what happens and let herself drag for what others do. She is sometimes so stupid that is a recurrent joke from others characers to point how DUMB she is. But her “traumatized” part give her some depth to her stupid always similing personality, so is okay. She is not like that just because the plot need it, she have a backstory.

Her best frieds (a badass semi gang blonde and a goth vibe semi witch) are by far my favorites and they both could keep the story way better than her.

The main boys? Kinda average, is the dinamic of always (introvert sensitive one vs extrovert impulsive one), so it happens as always happens.

There is also the pedo character but at least they don’t normalize it as something good but become in a recurrent “joke” of the others characters to tell him to not do anything illegal or he will end in jail. It should not even be there but ok, let’s put the “pedo is bad” mention as something barely good.

The true hero is her mom. Everyone should have her mom. I want her mom.

One of the very good things is LGTBQIA+ CHARACTERS!

One is openly bisexual AND clearly bipolar/Dissociative identity disorder.  

Another play in the “bigender/drag/ambiguous” as openly say to be “uke” (submissive homosexual).

Other guy put hints to have some kind of relationship with him, as to also like womans, so another bisexual.

Other guy use female clothes since was a kid, so probably trans!

The story is fine, and it have a little of plot that make you want to know more, specially with the “mistery characters” who are mentioned a ton of times but who take a while in show up. Also some hidden intentions grow with the chapters, so it also add some intrigue.

The season 1 is more a presentation of characters than anything else. The romance is very set aside and focus more in how the boy develop feelings, because she is like “lost” and her job is mostly react to others.

The season 2 get a little more dramatic and deep.

Score: 3.4/5 and 6.5/10 Will be a little slow unless you are very fan of this genre.
