Actually I like this concept of changing the turtles' location. So tell me what your turtle headcanons would be if they were born/created in your country/state/province/region instead
I had a dream about the teenage mutant ninja turtles where they lived in northern mexico instead of new york

THE STASH DAUBER
RANTS OF AN UNRECONSTRUCTED MUSIC GEEK WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2022
https://stashdauber.blogspot.com/2022/01/the-nervebreakers-face-up-to-reality.html
The Nervebreakers' "Face Up to Reality"
[This time it's personal. My second most anticipated release of the millennium (after the Peter Laughner box) is here. I'm not going to review it, because I wrote the liner notes, which are reproduced in full below, including the part that wouldn't fit on the jacket. To say these guys are important to me would be an understatement. If my drummer from college hadn't seen them open for the Sex Pistols, I might not have moved from New York to Texas. Between 1978 and 1981, I saw them more times than any other band besides the Juke Jumpers. Mike Haskins remains my guitar hero, and Barry Kooda my human being hero. Bob Childress once surprised me with a message on the RadioShack corporate net after I'd written something about them online. My wife and I once made a pilgrimage to Austin to see Tex Edwards play a bar gig. And I'm proud to say that Carl Giesecke once played sleighbells on "I Wanna Be Your Dog" with Stoogeaphilia. But enough about me. I've got to go listen to this again.
]Think of this record as a follow-up that took a while to emerge.
It was 1980, 40 years ago as I write this, when the Nervebreakers -- who’d bossed the nascent Dallas punk scene from its inception, opened for every punk/”new wave” touring act that passed through Big D (Ramones, Sex Pistols, Clash, Police, Boomtown Rats), and made the pages of Rolling Stone via the image of guitarist Barry Kooda with a fish in his mouth onstage at the Pistols show – recorded their sole long player, We Want Everything!, which then took 14 years to make it onto vinyl.
The Nervebreakers coalesced in 1975 when Kooda, a junior college theater major back from Army service in Korea, managed to insinuate himself into the “arty rock band” Mr. Nervous Breakdown, formed by his high school best friend, guitarist Mike Haskins, with fellow record store employee Thom “Tex” Edwards. Haskins and Edwards bonded over their mutual appreciation for the Raspberries’ combination of tuneful songcraft and rock crunch. Drummer Carl Giesecke was a moonlighting symphony percussionist, while bassist Bob Childress, who’d joined after the Ramones show, held the distinction of having seen both the Stooges and the New York Dolls every night for a week at Richard’s in Atlanta while attending Georgia Tech.
Onstage, they had a formidable presence, honed over years of four-set gigs, with frontman Edwards draped rakishly over the mic stand, Kooda in his Army helmet and pistol belt, Haskins looking like Donnie Osmond’s axe-slinging twin, Childress bouncing around like the Uberfan who got to join his favorite band, and Giesecke pounding out a solid pulse. Their repertoire included covers as diverse as We Five’s “You Were On My Mind,” George Jones’ “The Race Is On,” and the Troggs’ “Strange Movies.” More to the point, they penned potent originals: “Hijack the Radio,” “Girls Girls Girls Girls Girls,” “My Girlfriend Is a Rock.” Haskins and Edwards were the main writers, with occasional contributions from Kooda, but drummer Giesecke claims credit for their best known song.
When the sessions for We Want Everything! were complete, Haskins and Childress left to form Bag O’ Wire, while the Nervebreakers recruited replacements for an East Coast tour, after which the band folded. Edwards and Kooda followed different musical directions, while Giesecke toured with Roky Erickson (whom the Nervebreakers had backed in 1979).
Fast forward to 2008, when the Nervebreakers reconvened in Haskins’ home studio to record some songs they’d never gotten around to documenting back when. The energy and excitement of the band in its heyday were still in ample supply, along with tunefulness, crunch, and sardonic wit. Highlights include the title track’s snaky rifferama, the leg-twitching rockabilly of “Just Yawn,” the splenetic snarl of “Don’t Wanna Be Used,” and the sprightly punk-country of “I Don’t Wanna Hold Your Hand.” Kooda penned the ennui anthem “Wake Me Up,” and co-wrote the dance-craze theme “They Were Doing the Pogo.” The closing triptych of “It’s Obvious,” “Breaking Down,” and “I’d Rather Die” provides a rousing conclusion to a rockin’ set of tunes that’s long overdue, but right on time.

hello i am the anon that asked about your ocs coming here to tell you to write about the move!!! i need to know more about them all. prince and dallas are eating away at my mind. tell me more about their siblings! (not sure if you revealed dee's sis' names but- i love any and all characters that have cities for names) & tell me smth abt donny!!! the blorbo ever^3^
HI HI HI AGAIN!!! i will gladly tell you anything and everything you could ever want to know about all my guys!!!
• DOWN ON PALLADIUM •
– first and foremost... i WANT to write about "The Move" so bad... especially because. well. to spoil it. "The Move" is around when the pachyderms' album 01202001 comes out and the guys move upstate because. well they're getting older and they have a bit of pocket change from their other albums so, as much as it troubles prince to move away from his family (even farther), it's supposed to be a good thing for all of them. especially because they can finally have a House, not just an apartment, so they have the space for ALL of their creative endeavors. and they can get some dogs!!! which:
Tumblr media
– speaking of sissies!!! that bottom right corner!!! i mentioned dee's sisters and their (also) city names in that last post but. you're making me want to develop them all more!!! partly because i wanna think of how they've all affected dee. like the full picture in the bottom right is a stand in for dee with his sister cheyenne, the one that's theee years older than him, and she's the one he's closest to (meanwhile she's kind of the bridge between him and their older sisters). and the only other solid thing is aurora, the second eldest, is like. weird eccentric/eclectic, probably an artist just like dee is... well other than the solid thing of it being interesting to contrast dee versus prince with their sisters since. though both the only boys, dee is the youngest sibling, and younger than the oldest (helena) by 8 years, meanwhile prince is older than his (half) sisters, ava by 14 years and eileen by 16. and the contrast of dee being the youngest AND only boy ergo he wants to be included in his sisters' things whenever they let him in on the sister pact; conversely, prince was questionable about having siblings when his mom got pregnant with ava (understandably so because he was the only child for 14 years, 10 of which his mom was single so it was just the pair of them) then slowly growing to love the sissies greatly...
both of them (no offense to Wes) eat me regularly so by all means ask more questions about them!!!
• CIFL •
okay about DONNY... what can i NOT tell you about him... he's my squimchy blorbo of the universe, i cannot help it... but if i had to go ONE thing... hmmm... i guess i haven't shared much about him being a filmmaker wannabe who does freelance writing stuff... like he has a bachelors in media arts and a masters in documentary media (since documentaries are his big dream) but between graduation and becoming a stay at home dad he's just doing freelance stuff and all that because he can't make his way out to hollywood to actually kickstart anything (homesick at space camp by fall out boy starts playing)... and he still doesn't really get to do much by way of documentation— except for one random little alternate universe snippet i wrote a while ago...
if you want more about HIM, by all means ask about him too <3 i LOVE talking about him <3

Jeremy Lin is an NBA player and is currently a free agent. His career in the NBA has been full of ups and downs, from being undrafted to finally winning a championship in 2019 NBA finals with the Toronto Raptors. He graduated from Harvard in 2010 and was not selected by any NBA team. It was because of Donnie Nelson that Jeremy Lin got a chance to play for Dallas Mavericks in the Summer League in 2010. After the Summer League, he finally received and accepted an offer to play for the Golden State Warriors. After that Jeremy Lin has played for several teams like the New York Knicks, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors etc. This image is a screen shot of the video whose link is given as below Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0K2Pw3WhEnY *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research Jeremy Lin gained fame during his time with the New York Knicks. In his first 4 starts for the Knicks, he averaged 27.4 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game. The craze "Linsanity" surrounding Jeremy Lin grew to extreme levels as Lin excelled. However, his good time in New York didn't last long. He suffered an injury in the knee which led to a drop in his performance as he averaged 13.9 points, 5.9 assists and shot only 39.1% from the field in his last 9 of the 26 games. After that, in 2012-13 season Jeremy Lin signed with the Houston Rockets, where he averaged 13.4 points and 6 assists per game. Ever since then, Jeremy Lin has had average performances and did not quite live up to the expectations of what everyone initially thought he was capable of. The past season he did not have great stats (7 ppg for Toronto Raptors, 10 ppg for Atlanta Hawks), however he was lucky enough to win a championship. Lin signed with the Toronto Raptors on 13 February 2019, the team which eventually became the NBA champions. Jeremy Lin: Raptors Championship Parade This image is a screen shot of the video whose link is given as below Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMchC9LtRwk *Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research Jeremy, when asked about his goals which included playing as a point guard in the NBA and win a championship, Jeremy replied "It has been an incredible journey and I am having fun along the way. Definately giving all the credit to God, just knowing that there were so many things I couldn't control but to be able to achieve all those things and being able to experience that, just super thankful." Jeremy Lin has had an incredible story and everyone should feel happy for him getting a ring and being the first Asian-American player ever to do so.

I REKKIABILLY PRESENTANO
SPAGHETTI JIVE
Cesko from Après La Classe, collaborazione
baritono, sax tenore e trombone.
Palma & the Bluebeaters, NewYork Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Vinicio Capossela, Max Gazzè, Banda
Bardò, Punkreas, Michele Zarrillo, Arisa e molti altri.
White Trash e Road Runner (Berlino), Sean McD’s (Dublino), Kaf Fur Dik (Zurigo), Gipsyland, DB
Music Zone di Terni, Festival Rockabilly di Viareggio, Rocket Rockabilly Festival di Roma, Sziget
Festival (Budapest), FIMU (Belfort), Hutball (Dresda).

Cesko from Après La Classe, collaborazione
baritono, sax tenore e trombone.
Palma & the Bluebeaters, NewYork Ska-Jazz Ensemble, Vinicio Capossela, Max Gazzè, Banda
Bardò, Punkreas, Michele Zarrillo, Arisa e molti altri.
White Trash e Road Runner (Berlino), Sean McD’s (Dublino), Kaf Fur Dik (Zurigo), Gipsyland, DB
Music Zone di Terni, Festival Rockabilly di Viareggio, Rocket Rockabilly Festival di Roma, Sziget
Festival (Budapest), FIMU (Belfort), Hutball (Dresda).
FEATURINGS
Tuppi, Manlio Maresca, Kekko Fornarelli, Après La Classe, Anèt & Simone Bonizzi, Enri Zavalloni,
Davide Ceddìa.

DONOVAN MORGAN is looking for his SIBLINGS!
trigger warnings: family drama, war, military
OOC: Starr
Character: Donovan Morgan
Type of Connection: Family
WC Name: ___ Morgan
Age Range: 21-45
FC Options: Should look related to Josh Dallas
Would you like to be contacted?: YES
Connection Description: Donny is from a large well off family in East Haven that has been around many years now. Not a founding family but one family that started to be a staple of East Haven. They all are well off and went to the best colleges to make a name for the family. They do not like people who do basic work in retail, military and anything that is more common. Donny wasn't like his family and worked as a teenager. Donny went off to the Marines and his family stopped talking to him much. He has 4 other siblings that are requested. The more stuck-up type, they would be doctors, lawyers or owns a business, or something along the same lines.

Oh god fall of the house of usher is awful. Just got mad at my gf after having to sit thru the whole thing (hearing it over headphones and yt). Its so exceptionally grim to see or hear this fucking show. Its like dallas if dallas was shot thru a wall of cement, and everyone had to shout to be heard thru the cement. Awful! (Mom from donnie darko was good but damn what a fucking terrible expenditure of time to have to watch fall of the house of usher 😫)
Court dramas are only fun when there are no macho men, like in onegin or dangerous liasons--I hate game of thrones bullshit
(We were supposed to have sex in a pumpkin patch but apparently the priority is errands for people shes not dating, and bad tv. What is the point of this relationship other than her saying shes dating someone, at that point. Ive been waiting three days to fuck and shes like "sex isnt as fun as this insanely grotesque tv drivel" and im like not to YOU asshole, youre on estrogen! But /i/ am not an appendage of you i am horny independently and now im too mad to jerk off OR sleep because i just waited all day and im loaded up on nicotine and im so fucking cranky about all her annoying monologuing about humans being worthless and life being stupid)

What’s your most favorite Louis moment that remembering it fills your heart with love and light?
Oh my god anon… ummm, I don’t know if you were thinking general but I’m gonna go with my personal highlights with Louis.
I think number one was in Donny, @ialwaysknewyouwerepunk and I were in an insanely good mood, and because we’re both very active dancers, we had quite some space around us after the first couple songs, and even though we were maybe sixth row, we had stellar view bc the literal gym the show was held was so tiny.
Tumblr media
So, here we stood, feeling ourselves and going nuts for Louis, celebrating Michael’s solos and very obnoxiously made a show of us knowing all the words to 7 and Beautiful War lol, which Louis very much appreciated (he’d pointed me & my energy for his music out before at other gigs, so he might have recognised the lunatics going absolutely batshit crazy) but then - he sang Change. And like. I was mostly at the gigs of the first half of the tour, so I’ve only ever heard it once or twice live before and just hadn’t come around to properly learning the lyrics. So we had just gone absolutely crazy, making a show of it, too, and then we kind of… awkwardly hummed along to change. Like, don’t get me wrong, we were enthusiastic about it, but we literally simply didn’t know the words apart from the chorus lmao so we went from jumping scream-singing to awkwardly swaying and desperately trying to get out from under Louis’ gaze because - of course he was watching us. And he kept singing and we kept awkwardly swaying and mumbling the words looking all about this gym to the point that Louis was so amused he laughed about us, even drew michael’s attention to us to cheekily make fun of us. But it was just so pure. And we really did bring it onto ourselves. After that, we went crazy again and Michael actually threw his pick specifically to me after his solo as a thank you, in the middle of the gig - so I think we’re good. I really will never forget that, it was such camaraderie, loving teasing and it was just so much fun.
Tumblr media
I think second favourite was Denver, because I had Center barricade and the whole show was completely different than expected but because it was the one show Louis was pissed off, it just was - let me explain. I was absolutely delighted to be Center barricade, but the moment Louis stepped onto stage, I knew something was wrong. And he was really upset (was it the teeny fans singing 1D songs in front of his tour bus while he was trying to sleep? Was it smth BTS? Idk) but to make matters worse within the first minute someone threw the infamous chicken nugget which hit him in the head. So he was proper pissed off, spent the first third of the show singing basically with his eyes closed. And I just - I didn’t know what to do? He was so close? And I wanted to comfort so badly, know what’s wrong, tell him everything will be alright. Slowly, he opened his eyes more and more and sought out contact with us fans at barricade, and it felt like he found what he was looking for, drawing from us and our support and opening up and relaxing. It was beautiful. I had the most emotional intense connection to him that show. Funny how the universe forces me to enjoy these moments, I basically have the barricade curse of my phone alerting to full storage as soon as I’ve taken two videos at barricade lol. But yeah. Will cherish that show forever although it scared the crap out of me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Third is probably him leaning over me in London and screaming Little Black Dress at each other and that fucking smirk. Yes.
Tumblr media
Casually walking over about to change my fucking understanding of the world
Or when he came out after the show in Dallas and we briefly talked, with not too many people around, bc they all thought he’d come out a different exit. Was amazing. He’s exactly my height but all I could think was that he’s got a whole lot less body than me lmao but that he’s also got an authority that makes him feel incredibly large.
