My favorite so far has been DMC Cordonnet. The smallest I’ve worked with is size 40, and it was nice and smooth and didn’t break. My least favorite is probably a sample of Lizbeth I got since it twists a lot (though that may be from the spool it’s wound around).

don't know if there are a lot of tatters on tumblr, but I'd love to know, what are your favorite threads to tat with in which sizes?

I usually use Aunt Lydia and Lizbeth crochet thread in size 10 and 20, and for metallic I use Lizbeth in 20 and Simthread around size 40 I think (from Amazon) and I prefer the Simthread over Lizbeth in metallic.

tbh I think I'm just looking for thread recommendations lmao as much as I love the color selection in Lizbeth, the smaller sizes especially just twist up so much if the rings aren't small. someone suggested I try using sewing thread but that's probably size 80-100 and the smallest I've used is size 40, so I'm working my way down.
