so much happened in this whole episode but i’m still on fig infiltrating ruben’s dream, making it look like the place where his friend was murdered, and then disguising herself as kipperlilly & repeatedly saying different variants of “somebody needs to take the fall for this, and it’s not going to be me. it’s going to be you.” while adaine as the elven oracle shows up next to her. can you imagine waking up from that, the idea of a horrible truth being pinned on you by your friend to save her own skin while the personification of fate and destiny stands there, almost as a promise that this is GOING to happen to you. we don’t even know if this kid is guilty. my god.

Ik some people are gonna be (understandably) disappointed that Kipperlilly might not get revived, unlike the other Ratgrinders, but TBH? You guys are missing out on the potential for INSANE PARALLELS between Lucy Frostblade & Kipperlilly Copperkettle, and Sam Nightingale & Penelope Everpetal.

It's the: I loved you. You were my best friend. You did something absolutely horrible to me, and you did it in order to do something even worse. My fate was a means to your end, and your fate is an act of justice. You were terrible for me. I loved you. You're never coming back. I miss you. I love you still.

With the potential of Gorgug returning to Aguefort Adventuring Academy post-graduation as a Barbificer teacher, it is absolutely possible that Gilear, Aguefort, and Gorgug spend more time together and both Gilear and Aguefort absolutely think of Gorgug as their best friend

Do you think that Mary Ann and Zelda know each other? They are both barbarians who would have been in the same year. Neither of them seem to be/have been in the same class with Gorgug (ofc Zelda had private lessons with Porter in freshmen year, but I assume that wasn't ALL of her classes) so it stands to reason they might have been in the same class block.

I like to think they actually got on okay. They're both very reserved and clearly neurodivergent it's easy to imagine them partnering up on group projects when Zelda doesn't want to ask someone else and Mary Ann doesn't care to. They make for an interesting match up with Mary Ann seemingly being a very brute force style of combatant and Zelda being a dexterity focused Eagle barbarian, but them being probably the shortest two barbarians in their year. I bet they enjoyed hanging out in class and not actually having to talk to each other, maybe chatting occasionally about crystal games

some viktors in czech and polish folk costume and a less specific miscellany from the past few months :-) i have to draw very very small with this pen which feels appropriate for him
