I’m in the Postmormon phase where I complain about the church and all the weird things I used to do but the moment someone who has never been associated with Mormonism does I get annoyed

Aight these are very long, but I’ll do 2 everyday. But here are the relationship dynamics between the misfts and their parents, pt.1. (Inspo from @mormonas)

Now Alice is not an easy kid to deal with, she’s got severe anger issues and will lash out at any random time, let’s get that much out of the way… But she is Sniper’s daughter, and he has to put up with her. Lots of people feel sorry for him, seeing him looking like a tired old man at only 31 years old, but that isn’t Alice’s fault. Their relationship is quite complicated. A very large strain on it is the fact that Sniper was only 18 when Alice was born and, of course, he had no idea what he was doing, it only got worse when Alice’s mother, Willow, left to focus on an addiction.

They don’t really communicate much, which is unfortunate. The most they’ll interact with each other in a day is a simple good morning or a good night, and that’s pretty much it. They love each other very much, but there’s rarely ever any physical affection, hell many of the mercs have never seen Alice hug or father or Sniper kiss his daughter’s forehead… They simply watch and protect each other from a distance, and if they need to get involved with anything, they will.

I see them having more of a much, much older brother with his very young sister type dynamic. Sniper doesn’t really know what to do with Alice, and Alice makes almost everything hell for him… That’s it. 

Summed up to a whole: They really need some time spent together…

Imagine being locked away for almost all of your life. Being cast away. You aren’t allowed to see your friends, you’re forced to put on a fake identity, put on a brand new face and play it off and act like you had no life before that. I just described hell, am I right? That’s Enguarde’s hell. For most of his life, he never properly settled in a new home and made it his own. It was always the same routine: Arrive in a brand new country, live there for a month with his loser, strict father, murder someone, pack up and go. Hell. Enguarde absolutely has a love-hate relationship with his father. Spy’s strict and very manipulative, Enguarde doesn’t see it that way, all he sees is an asshole talking to him. 

Spy’s extremely harsh on his teenage son, but he never even realizes it until it’s too late. As in late, I mean, until Enguarde gets up and RUNS. It’s happened several times where Enguarde will pack up and stock up food, then leave the base, forcing Spy to go out and look for him. Why does he do this? To get attention… From spy. He never had much attention growing up, Spy rarely, if ever, bat an eye on Enguarde and sort of swatted him away… Enguarde hates his home life.

They absolutely trash each other… Now, from Spy’s perspective, he loves his son. He just isn’t great at “opening up”. Which is absolute horse shit on his part and he needs to understand that his sons (BOTH SCOUT AND ENGUARDE) ganging up on him and bullying him, calling him names and trashing him, is not normal and he needs to sort it out…

Summed up to a whole: Spy needs to give his baby a hug and let Enguarde know how much he loves
