Hi! My name is Judit, but I usually go by Safi or Anemone online. I’m 29 y.o. and I was diagnosed with audhd last year.

One of my special interests has always been learning foreign languages, so this is the main reason I made this side-blog. My native languages are Catalan and Spanish, and I can speak English and French fluently and Japanese (intermediate).

I’m currently studying Arabic (2nd year), Icelandic (2nd year) and Japanese at different language schools.

I studied a Translation and Interpretation degree at uni and passed JLPT N3 7 years ago, so during this past year I’ve been trying to refresh kanji and grammar to be able to prepare for N2 at some point.

clothing:

the simplistic vintage vibes of the style are actually rather easy to thrift! simple sweaters, skirts, etc. tend to go for super cheap (especially in colder/temperate climate regions)

i’ve gotten some of my best pieces via hand-me-downs. my tiffany and co bracelet that i wear daily was a hand-me-down :)

estate sales are another great avenue for true vintage pieces that are unlike any other

tights of all sorts are great accessories. most pharmacies and general stores in the us and mexico sell women’s tights for super cheap and in a variety of styles. i’ve also found many unopened pairs at thrift stores!

knee socks are a great alternative, altough some may find them too youthful for their personal style. definitely don’t knock ‘em til you try em tho!! this is perfect option for people w/ conditions that require compression socks

beauty products:

the makeup is super simplistic and often a little messy. u don’t need much more than some pharmacy mascara, lip gloss, and brow gel. personal fav for the brows is nyx brow glue!

you don’t need fancy chanel or guerlain perfume to smell like a doll. dollar stores & wholesale stores tend to actually have excellent body sprays/perfumes. a favorite of mine is cancan burlesque by paris hilton, found at 5below.

some perfumes offer body spray versions with the same scent, just a cheaper price. my favorite perfume (pink sugar by aquolina) retails for $18 at walmart, yet you can find the near identical body spray version for just $7!

podcasts on spotify are free & have no ads! one i love is nymphet alumni

many books that are cult classics (ie. the bell jar, lolita, my year of rest and relaxation) can be found in free pdf form online

soundcloud, youtube, spotify, and bandcamp all offer free music (although they have ads)

you can find old dvds or even vhs tapes of older films at the thrift store and newer ones are often available on youtube. there’s always sketchy sites like soap2day but i don’t want anyone to get crazy malware!!

ATEEZ SMALL PERFUME REVIEW: LUSH — THE COMFORTER

disclaimer: this is not meant to be a serious perfume review, this is something fun for me to do as I love perfume. each and every one of us have different tastes and preferences when it comes to fragrances. what works for me might not work for you, vice versa. I’ll try my best to describe the scents but I will always suggest for you to go and smell them yourself before purchase. if you want to try these perfumes, please test or get a sample before committing to the bottle. picture credits to all owners.

my scent experience:

juicy, sweet and berry-like. if you don’t know what cassis is, it’s french for blackcurrant and blackcurrants in perfume are so good. I love that blackcurrants are sweet but not too sweet of a scent that it doesn’t make you feel sick. I love how juicy and delicious this smells and the bergamot makes it bright and fun. this is the body spray version of their best-selling bubble bar so if you are familiar with that product, you would like this.

the projection for this body spray is so intense, you only need two sprays to smell good. any more than that, it’s overpowering and can give you a migraine — thankfully I’ve learnt this the easy way from a Lush employee. the longevity however isn’t that great, it would last approximately 2 hours on me but considering it’s a body spray, I wasn’t expecting it to last forever.

additional notes from me:

the way Seonghwa and I have the same taste in perfume? did not expect that but that means he’s got excellent taste in fragrances at least in my opinion. I bought this in store right before the pandemic so this was the scent I was wearing during lockdown lmao. it’s been quite a while since I’ve finished my bottle but I still think about it from time to time. I’ll probably buy a bottle when I visit Lush as I’ve heard stories of the body sprays leaking in transit. I just checked online and they also sell this scent as a soap bar so that’s pretty cool.

who would I recommend this to?

anyone who loves the scent of blackcurrants and/or enjoys the comforter bubble bar.

Born to a single mother, brought up on a host of stories of what her birth father was like but never who he was. Despite the echo of emptiness Jordana felt at times, when she saw others with their fathers, she never wanted for anything growing up with her mother. In fact, with only the knowledge that her father wanted nothing to do with her, Jordy never even thought of looking for the man.

With the various pseudo parental influences in her background, Jordy grew up with a well rounded personality. She learned to charm the socks off of anyone she met from the former actress down the street, and developed a love for reading thanks to the librarian who recommended a number of books to her over the years. She learned how to hotwire a car from a mechanic, and how to play chess from the older neighbor across the street. Her friend circle in school was eclectic to a fold, gathering people from all walks of life into her group and befriending even more outside of it.

As she grew up, she knew she wanted to travel in or after college, which lead to her getting 2 years of college done before she even finished high school. It gave her the time to travel for a month or so before finishing college when she came back, and settled back into town. She found a job at Uncle Sam’s Diner, and has been waitressing there for the past few years.

In all honesty, life is going great for Jordy. It’s normal, and she likes it that way. She likes her hometown, her family dynamic, loves her boyfriend, she’s even gained a decent follower count on her blog where she posts her online comic series (under a pseudonym). There’s nothing to complain about.

So when news more recently broke about her being the first child of the Tomás Gibson, Jordy was absolutely floored. Sure her mother had been vague about her birth father’s identity, but never in a million years would she have guessed that the Gibson Patriarch was her dad. Frankly, she’s terrified of what this news might cause, and right now she’s just worried about her mother.

Jordana’s lasted 23 years without knowing her father, she has absolutely no plans to make the first move to know him now.

Morfydd gave a new interview at the Canneseries TV Festival about "Rings of Power" and teased season 2!!! :D It's in French but my browser translated it and I'll post behind a cut and a link in the comments to the article, but she actually mentioned how she and Charlie played Galadriel and Halbrand/Sauron's relationship as ambiguous so that it could be interpreted however the audience wanted to see it including romantically!!! LOL :D And it was Charlie's idea. LOL Could be the translation but that seems to be what she said which contradicts the press tour and what Charlie said in interviews. Then she also went into how she's been playing Galadriel being so sad and lonely and how devastated she is about what Halbrand/Sauron did to her, but is happy to know thanks to the LOTR movies and books she loved her whole life that she'll be ok and reunited with Celeborn at some point!!! It's the first time she's mentioned Celeborn in an interview too. She also then went on to say she's excited to see Charlie fully as Sauron in season 2, which seems to confirm like the other spoilers he's still the main form going forward. Again full translation behind the cut but I'm even more excited for s2 and honestly this confirms to me Galadriel really was in love with Halbrand/Sauron and still loves her husband too like I thought all along.

In the Amazon Prime blockbuster series The Rings of Power, a prelude to the events described by Tolkien in The Lord of the Rings, the Welsh actress appropriates the character of Galadriel. The future great and wise elf queen of Peter Jackson's trilogy, played by Cate Blanchett. For her first recurring role in a series, the 32-year-old actress rose to the top. But remains in interview of disarming spontaneity and enthusiasm.

Le Figaro - What inspires you about this Madame Figaro Rising Star Award? Morfydd Clark. - I can't believe it. I am deeply grateful. It's a crazy chance to headline a program watched all over the world. At school, I was a calamity in French. Having been unable to unravel this mystery, I have always had the impression that your culture and language were phenomenal. This prize of a French festival so young, so warm touches me more than you imagined.

The Rings of Power ended with the thunderous revelation that Galadriel's Halbrand's alluring traveling companion was none other than the devious and dangerous Sauron in human form. Which unleashed the fans. Did you follow their turbulent debates? I've never been more anxious in my life than in the weeks leading up to the show's launch. Until that moment, The Rings of Power belonged to me in its entirety. Once online, it becomes the property of the fans. I love their imagination. I don't go on the Internet. But my sister scours the forums and selects me the theories that I might like. Some extraordinary ones defy comprehension. Others are aiming for the nail on the head. But I can't tell you more. I did not expect that the relationship between Galadriel, Elrond and Halbrand would be so dissected even if I imagine that the slightest perfume of prohibition - and still I am afraid with this word to say something I should not - can only stir passions. Halbrand's hold on Galadriel was less connoted in the scripts. It was Charlie Vickers who plays Halbrand who had the idea to make it ambiguous. Supposing that these quasi-divine beings can feel human emotions. Were we in a relationship of seduction or power? It's up to the viewer to decide. Extremely kind, Charlie was the best partner to play it. I can't wait to see what he does with his Sauron.

Looking back, how do you view Galadriel's trajectory? In The Lord of the Rings, Galadriel is at peace with her and rules Lothlorien. The series takes this path backwards by imagining the most extreme starting point. It's soothing to know that no matter how sad, her loneliness consumes her soul entirely and obliterates the rest in this first season, to which is added Halbrand's betrayal, she will overcome these trials. For the immortal beings that are the elves, the course of time is different. One can be separated for a lifetime and find oneself like Galadriel and her husband Celeborn, currently missing but present in The Lord of the Rings. That's what I love about fantasy: through magic pierce human experiences.

You've said it over and over again, Tolkien's writings rocked your childhood. I was born in Sweden. It was first the stories of Astrid Lindgreen, creator of Fifi brindacier, who accompanied me. It was my gateway into fantasy. Suffering from attention disorders that made my schooling trying, the fantasy characters, who managed to exist differently, were a great source of comfort. Wandering the Misty Mountains with the Hobbits, who have always had my heart because of their benevolence and vulnerability, was a wonderful escape. Peter Jackson's trilogy came out when I was 12. I was spellbound. During a bad time at school, I even watched The Two Towers every day. My parents were a little worried (laughs). When I realized that I was auditioning for The Rings of Power, I said to myself: "No room for failure, you must succeed". To find myself in the New Zealand landscapes was an enchantment.

What was the tipping point that made you embrace your acting career? I had to leave school at 16. I absolutely did not know how to endure and manage the stress of exams. I auditioned to join the Welsh Youth Theatre Company. I couldn't believe that after so much criticism at school, they finally wanted me. On stage, no one scolded me anymore. I made people laugh. For the first time in my life, I felt like I belonged. I went on to get a place in a conservatory. I was incredibly lucky that my first steps in front of the camera were in 2014 in front of Carol Morley's historical drama The Falling. She protected us, made us feel safe. It is no coincidence that the actresses of this project Maisie Williams (Game Of Thrones) and Florence Pugh (Don't Worry Darling) are nowadays so much in demand. The psychological horror film Saint Maud which was my first experience of a leading role was also a special experience. I discovered that I loved horror, a mind-blowing testing ground with an audience that still appreciates risk-taking, even if it doesn't work.

What can you tell us about season 2 of the Rings of Power that you are filming? Nothing, except that it's exciting! I'm too afraid to accidentally let slip a spoiler. It's amazing to be able to reconnect with your character and your playing partners. It was also necessary to get back in shape: horseback riding, fight sequence and stunts. I kind of let myself go on that (laughs). One of the most surreal moments was the passage of Prince Williams on our sets. It's amazing to think that this public figure is a fan of our work. We even chatted in Welsh!

cecilia salazar, daughter of constantine and maria salazar and the oldest sibling to little victor, elisa and sebastian, was born a black sheep of the family. from a young age cece was a little menace to society — she would play pranks that often got her into trouble, she was the mastermind behind revenge schemes when her family was being bothered. that behaviour was encouraged by her father constantine who wished to teach his firstborn how to protect herself, along with her younger siblings, from the cruel world that wasn’t at all within the salazar’s favour. 

the family barely survived financially, which led to each child to somehow scrape money by doing the neighbour’s chores for coins. cece was hardworking in that aspect; the survival of her family was so important to her, especially as the little ones were born, that she often ignored her own needs and wishes in order for them to have food in their bellies. elisa, victor and sebastian were her whole life; it was cecilia that changed their diapers, it was cecilia that fed them formula and it was cecilia that took them to her workplace when constantine and maria had to hop from job to job.

but as the children grew and as cece began socialising properly during, and after, school hours — things began to change. when cecilia wasn’t dealing with their, and her own, school work, she would disappear in the dead of night and return by sunrise. she was a curious thing, always drawn to new things to try, so obviously she was introduced to the world of illegal substances that shouldn’t be known outside of the parties she attended. due to the bad company she had gotten herself with, cece was often found with handcuffs and napping in a police car.

her growing violent behaviour, enhanced by her excessive drinking, only kept bringing her tickets to the station where she often was allowed out – firstly because of her parents and their growing connections, then because of herself. a police officer had taken a liking at her, so cece used that to her advantage when she had trouble. however, that did not go unnoticed by constantine and maria. arguments  were a daily occurrence in the salazar household for months; months in which cece continued drinking her school year away until she was expelled after breaking her peer’s nose.

after losing her hard work at school that promised her a bright future within the artistic world, cece barely returned home; she’d always wander the streets with her friends, do illegal activities and, you guessed, drink her days away. alcohol and cigarettes became her new essentials to survive the day and her friends encouraged that. cece lost contact with her family and often crashed out with her friends. cecilia spent two years of her life, from eighteen to twenty, in that environment. but that came to an end when, on one drunken night, cece and her close friend angie got into a car accident which left cece as the sole survivor.

survivor’s guilt didn’t mix well with her alcoholism. angie’s family blamed her for allowing their daughter to drive, cece’s family and friends comforted her that it wasn’t her fault. she listened to nobody except herself; that she was the reason angie was dead. but cece did not allow her second chance of life to go to waste and intended to live for angie. and although four years later cece was still the same troublemaker; at least she began regulating her alcohol take and began pursuing a career as an online artist. it was a slow process since cecilia wanted to work for herself, rather than for others, but she made ends meet by having different part-time jobs.

ii. when her nights contain memories of the accident, she would watch marathons of old shows or explore outside. one of her most recent hobbies were travelling and exploring abandoned buildings/locations.

iii. she has a love for motorcycles because of her father so when she sees one, best bet she’d want a ride with it.

iv. she doesn’t keep contact with her friends anymore; cecilia had distanced herself from them because being around them reminded her too much of angie and she couldn’t handle that well.

POSSIBLE CONNECTIONS :

 i. who is cecilia salazar without her SQUAD? a group of friends that love a little bit of trouble, that love a little bit of party, explore around and just being dumb together.

ii. her CLASSMATE whose nose she broke which got her expelled. this connection is pure enemies back to back. this muse and cece cannot for the life of them get along together even for five seconds. they’ve been at it since the longest of time and, let’s be real, if cece had a chance to break their nose again — she’s taking that opportunity.

iii. her FIRST LOVE/the one that introduced cece to the world of trouble and shaped her into who she is nowadays. this one will be painful, because cecilia and this muse had an on/off relationship going on until the accident happened and cece blocked their number in order to distance herself, leaving many questions left unanswered; did cece love this muse truly or was it all the alcohol talking? who knows.

hello! i saw your post about the katrielle layton manga and I am having a hard time finding any info online about it. Could I ask if you have anything to share in regards to it? thanks for reading this btw

Absolutely!

First off, an official French translation is available used on Amazon. That's what I got.

The artist and writer is Kahori Orito, who has done a few other series, including a pokemon manga.

The chapters are adaptations on cases 1-11, except case 9, and there's one manga original involving a missing dog. They aren't in the same order as the game. Instead, it's: (vol. 1) 1, 2, 8, 7, manga original, (vol. 2) 4, 6, 5, 3, 10, 11. The cases are very stripped down compared to the game and anime, but the pacing is pretty good, so it doesn't feel rushed, at least to me.

Kat is in a different outfit every chapter, not just game outfits either. Orito really likes putting Kat in different outfits, which is valid! Relating to that, within each chapter, there are a couple of bonus images of mostly Kat, 1 of Emiliana, and 4 of Ernest in different outfits that all look fantastic.

There are a couple of anime aspects, like Kat comparing cases to sweets, the specific Wight House hauntings (but the haunted mirror was included here ^v^), Kat getting a gift after finding Rex (but in the manga it's a plate), and a dog Sherl talks to for information looks more like Geowly than Yapper. Although Vic and Tim look completely different from the anime designs.

In the first volume, there are a couple of puzzle sections in between chapters, I might upload pictures of those later, actually. There's also a couple of short extra stories at the end, the first has to do with perfume, and the second involves the trio splitting a cute cake and Kat getting half of it because of course she does.

Okay, a couple of changes I found notable

In case 5, Ernest and Sherl just didn't go to the haunted house, and it was only Emiliana and Kat, and it was refreshing after rewatching the anime adaptation that doesn't have her in the case at all. The end of Case 5 was a Halloween costume party, and Hastings and the Lipskis were there. It was great.

In case 3, Seymour shoves Kat to the ground when she almost touches one of his projectors!

As far as I could tell, Case 8 didn't have the scavenger hunt. It was just a short tour as a distraction. I'm not 100% sure on that, though, because one of the little angle statues did show up.

I do plan to upload scans of the pages in a month or two when I'll have access to a scanner (I also have plans to figure out translating, but that's obviously more time-consuming).
