Chosen Pairing: Caitlyn Kiramman x Vi

Prompt : Teen!CaitVi in a Filipino highschool setting where they get pushed into the jail booth.

“I'm nervous,” Caitlyn whispers to Powder, the younger girl placing her hand on Caitlyn's shoulder.

“You'll be fine. Besides, its Vi. She doesn't bite, unless you ask her to,” Powder teases, Caitlyn's face scrunching in disgust.

How was a seventh grade girl this vulgar? Not like she wanted Vi to actually bite her, that was out of the question. Her thumb fiddles with the envelope she held in one hand, the wax stamp preventing it from being pried open by accident. The contents of the envelope? A letter, a love letter to be specific, along with a polaroid that they took when they went to a cosplay convention. She was supposed to give this to Vi, the problem was, Vi wasn't in her classroom. She wasn't in the canteen either, nor the usual spot in the gym where she stayed with Mylo and Claggor during lunch.

“Where the hell is Ate Vi? She didn't get in trouble during Valentine's, did she? Or did she score a date?” Powder rhetorically asks the wind, raising Caitlyn's anxiety by 100% as she said her last question.

She hopes- no, prays to whoever's up above that Vi hasn't found a date yet. Call her selfish or greedy, but she truly wants to spend today with Vi, that is if Vi accepts her confession. There was no telling if Vi would even reciprocate her feelings, her feelings that have grown drastically over months. Of course, the multiple hang-outs they planned where they'd often find themselves holding each other's hand until they were home didn't count as proof that Vi liked her back. They went out as friends, friends who shared the same weird interests in horror games and animes, not as girlfriends so that definitely didn't count.

Caitlyn eyed the other pairs in the gymnasium, a little envious of their romance. There were the guys who exchanged their flowers for the chocolates the girlfriends made for them, the girls who received a large money bouquet made of bills folded to mimic roses, and the girls who received a large teddy bear from their significant other. She hopes that someday, she was able to do one of those things for Vi, even if Vi refuses to let her buy gifts.

“Caitlyn Kiramman!” a voice of a guy rang out from the gym, along with a few more students beside him.

And there Caitlyn spotted Mylo and Claggor, but oddly Vi wasn't with them. Powder waved at the guy who called for Caitlyn, like she was aware of what was happening, and finally, she spots Vi. The girl had her arms held by two other students so she couldn't escape, and one of her wrists was locked in one half of the handcuffs, and Caitlyn was slowly realizing what was happening. They were both tricked to stay together in the jail booth.

Caitlyn considered running away from this predicament, but Powder had pulled her towards the other students before she could even process her thoughts. Before she knew it, her and Vi were handcuffed together, locked in the tiny booth that was mostly made of plywood and painted pink on the outside. She wasn't sure if she should complain or just thank Vi's siblings for this- whatever this was. At least there was privacy and nobody could see their business from the outside.

“Hey, cupcake... Sorry about that,” Vi starts, using her free hand to scratch the back of her head. She doesn't fail to notice the envelope in Caitlyn's hand, and she immediately assumes the worst.

“You already have a valentine?”

“W-what? No! That's- this is for you!” Caitlyn sputters in a panic, and Vi just stares at her in awe.

Vi doesn't hesitate to laugh at how flustured Caitlyn got in a matter of seconds, the latter scrunching her face and pouting as a result. Now, Vi smiles, something that Caitlyn frequently sees but it was rarely this bright. She opens her hand, as if to ask Caitlyn for the letter and Caitlyn immediately obliges. She would've preferred if she was able to run away when Vi read her letter, but oh well.

Vi eyes the stamp, raising her cuffed arm and raising Caitlyn's hand along with hers. They giggle for a moment, and Vi finally opens the envelope, pulling out the polaroid picture first. She smiles, her eyes meeting Caitlyn's bright blue ones. She didn't expect Caitlyn to print it out.

“Why the polaroid pic?”

“Thought you might want a keepsake, so... ”

The silence drags out for a while until Vi decides to read the letter that came with the polaroid, and she immediately realizes that Caitlyn has poured out her heart onto paper.

She was blatantly queer coding, and Caitlyn didn't catch onto it.

“Well... No, I just- didn't want to assume that's all. And we don't really talk about what we are, so I guess I made the wrong assumption,” Caitlyn confesses, thinking that she was making a big fool of herself right now.

“So, you do like me?”

“Yeah.”

“And you're not lying?”

“My mother didn't raise me to lie about my feelings.”

Her response made Vi chuckle slightly, and the two later shared prolonged eye contact. They weren't numb, dense maybe, but they could feel the tension closing in. Their faces got closer, and closer, until their lips were an inch away from each other and they could feel each other's breath. Caitlyn was nervous, even more than before, but when she felt Vi's hand on top of hers, her nerves were immediately relaxed and she looked at Vi once again. Vi finally leaned in, but before their lips could touch, the door of the booth opened.

“Alright, ten minutes is up-” Powder says as she opens the door, eyes widening at the scene.

Having over five more brothers- Mikey, Kakucho, Draken, basically all of Tenjiku and Toman who’s older than you and had the privilege to meet you.

Izana surely spoils the fuck out of you. You want something? Dw, it’s already in your brother’s hands.

The Haitani brothers often borrow you from Izana without his permission because they can and they know Izana won’t say a thing because you are always happy whenever the brothers take you out for a sibling date.

Mikey shares his dorayaki with you and that surprised every Toman founder because he doesn’t do that? Even with Emma? You’re just unique, aren’t you?

Emma once told you that you can act all bratty and everyone will still adore you and get you whatever you want. (you’ll never do that, though, you’re too kind)

Whenever you just want to sit with someone and not talk at all, your go-to is Haruchiyo. You don’t know how he knows but he always has an ice cream ready for you whenever you suddenly sit besides him.

Fun fact: he never wears his mask whenever you’re with him and lets you play with his hair.

Definitely have someone tailing you 24/7 from Toman and Tenjiku if Izana isn’t available to accompany you.

Nevertheless, if he’s not available, it’s always either Kakucho or Mikey with you.

They always fight when it comes to taking you out to spoil you to the point that Kakucho makes a schedule that aligns with your free time.

You still share a bed with Izana because he’s too paranoid to have you not next to him every night where the both of you are vulnerable. You don’t mind, though. You love it!

One time, you came home with your hair braided and Izana stomped his way to where Ran is and demanded to teach him how to braid hairs.

Izana tries his best to not let you get too close with his gang’s activities.

Whenever you go out with a Tenjiku member, they’re not allowed to wear their uniform for your safety and for the enemies’ ignorance.

Izana is your first favourite person, of course! Emma and Mikey being the second (they always fight because of the tie), third being Kakucho and no one knows who your fourth is.

It led to a challenge between the members.

While Rindou snickers at the back because he’s the fourth.

You once made a crocheted plushie of you and Izana and no, he didn’t cry, what do you mean he cried? He’s just sweating from his eyes, idiot.

He teaches you how to play a guitar in exchange. 

You cooked sinigang (a filipino dish) once and suddenly, you’re a one-man restaurant with only sinigang on the menu. Izana sulks because he was gatekeeping your cooking and now the others had the audacity to even breathe after tasting your heavenly cooking.

You got lost once and almost got your brother in jail because he almost murdered the person he assigned to follow you for losing you. Nevertheless, it was a sight seeing Izana sitting like a lost child while listening to you scolding him for beating people up.

Overall, you’re showered with never ending affection from different people.

Takemichi found out that you played a big big role in Mikey’s life to keep him from going insane with his darkness and thanked the heavens for your existence.

The Sentinel

As one of the newly appointed Sentinels to the recently established sanctuaries, your main tasks are to clean the sanctums and communicate to the Overseers the wishes of the people. Now that you have seen your fate before you can even uphold the title, you must find a way to survive.

You don't want to become a self-fulfilling prophecy, nor do you want to stand by and let happen. Established: The sentinel is 25 years old, and is a nonambiguous person of color.

Customizable: The player can determine the sentinel's name, pronouns, clothing, gender, and sexuality. The deity or deities worshipped by the sentinel are also customizable.
