Hello Freaks & Facades fans!
I know it's been a hot minute since we updated you on the misadventures of our group. The campaign is still ongoing and a lot's happened personally recently. Also, with Tumblr's new layout changes and making it impossible to format my blog posts the way I've been doing, I have been a bit uninspired lately.
However, I have decided for the good of this recap (and for you few followers) to put everything on a new blogspot page from now on! It's been so much easier to format things already, and it's much more user-friendly for reading than my previous blog.
Thank you for understanding. I will be working hard to update this blog with everything written so far (maybe some light-light editing).

satoru’s ears perk up when he hears your hiss, and he’s spooked when he sees the sight of you bending over a table with one hand on your swollen belly, face twisting.
“—! hey, sweets, are you okay?!”
he wastes zero second to flit to your side and lead you to the sofa. he pulls you close and rubs your waist soothingly.
“are you having cramps?”
“…i think so…”
“that’s why i’m telling you not to stand too long. you have to rest.”
you pout, and for a moment you are just there in his arms, waiting for the dull pain to pass. but once it does, suddenly you’re overwhelmed by feelings.
“hmph. you’re only acting like a decent husband because i’m carrying your spawn.”
“wha?” satoru turns to you with widened eyes. “that’s not true!”
“or when you’re having a boner. you only care about me when it satisfies your needs.”
“no! no no! you’re my wife—how can i not care about you?!”
but you just huff and squeeze your eyes shut, suddenly feeling exhausted. and despite that, your husband knows you better than to leave you alone, as he keeps massaging your taut muscles.
you’re cute. that’s what in his mind throughout it all, as you lean on his shoulder— it naturally brings a smile on his face.
“what makes you think like that, hmm?” he gauges you.
“you need spawns.”
“pfft—what? and what do i do with them?”
“dunno. repopulate your clan—or jujutsu society, maybe.”
“no one massacred my clan that i need to repopulate—and no way in hell we’re giving gakuganji an army of mini us with my eyes now, aren’t we?”
“hmph. or you’re just simply horny. i don’t know. after all you always come up with questionable kinks.”
satoru barks a laugh that, and he pats your head reassuringly. “now now, you’re hurting my feelings. both you and this baby are precious to me, alright?”
your heart melts when you hear that, but then your body tenses up again when the cramp washes over you. “it hurts…”
“okay, okay… let’s move back to our bedroom, yeah? i’ll continue to massage you and if it’s not getting better, i’m taking you to hospital.”

#icemav#top gun edit#ice is a FASCINATING one to watch post-hop 31 imo because while yes‚ obviously‚ the focus is on maverick and his grief and devastation#ice is there the whole time in the background‚ watching. and he's visibly disturbed by what he's seeing. because yeah -#he and mav had a rivalry going and yeah he called maverick dangerous and reckless to his face and he stands by that - he does.#but the problem is that this time - this one fluke freak accident of a time - it wasn't maverick's fault at all.#an unrecoverable flat spin brought on by a compressor stall from ice's jetwash isn't something that maverick could've outflown#by sticking to textbook maneuvers. it was just shit luck and shitty circumstances aligning to create a tragic mishap.#but now - now ice can see the way maverick is unraveling in the aftermath#and i'd bet that on some level it terrifies him to see that.#he's used to seeing maverick with all that brash cocky confidence with the moves to back it up.#he's maybe even had a bit of fun jockeying against that. not that he'd admit that out loud. (yet)#but maverick's spiraling now - a hollowed out shell of his former self - leaking grief and self-doubt and despair everywhere he goes#and it actually hurts to look at for ice‚ seeing maverick like this. seeing how much maverick really REALLY fucking cared under that facade#and wondering if maverick is finally taking the stuff ice said to him to heart‚ but applying it all wrong.#so he watches maverick and eventually that concern builds to a point where he tries to offer an olive branch in the locker room#you can SEE how carefully he gathers himself - how much he's holding back - he doesn't want to say the wrong thing to maverick NOW#he doesn't want to make this worse than it already is. so it comes out stilted. it's earnest - but restrained. he can't find his footing.#he doesn't know where he and maverick stand now but he's sorry - that goose is gone‚ that maverick's going through this‚#that he doesn't know how to help or what to say‚ and - crucially - for his own part in this.#but he wants mav to stick around and push through this. even though he's dangerous. even though he's reckless. ice wants him to beat this.#so when maverick shows up to graduation‚ ice is encouraged. and he's a little warmer. maverick really might pull through.#but then‚ all too soon‚ it's ice's life on the line in maverick's hands. and it scares the shit out of him because maverick's not ready#and now ice - and slider - are going to have to pay the price for that.#and then‚ against all odds‚ maverick pushes through. he comes back for them. he comes back for ice.#and after that...well.#after that‚ ice does know what to say: a vow.#my amvs#linds original

#codacheetah#isat#loop isat#isabeau isat#isat spoilers#i'll never get over loop being described as 'shy'. what a wonderful image#top one casual remarks from isabeau that cleaves loop's facade#like loop's personality is just a targeted missile to piss siffrin off. they're not at all confident and snarky#they're doing like the physical manifestation of winning an argument against yourself in the shower#second they see the party though Oopsies we're in scary territory. That's your family and they dont know it's you Oops#ok anyways ever since i saw that post i was like damn. this is just how i view loop in party postcanon#for as much as I think they SHOULD go explore around and be their own person for a while i think realistically they would not do that.#theyre going to go be a weird freak hovering around the party and refusing to socialize with anyone but siffrin and theyre gonna feel awful#(read: they're going to antagonize siffrin and it fails tremendously bc now The Rumor Come Out and siffrin knows what loop is doing.)#like loop as much as they can barely stand to even look at isabeau (for instance) i think their claws are sunk far too deep in.#onehats maybe the circumstances are different because there is a gap in understanding. there's no point forcing siffrin to confront the#obvious conclusion that loop is them (and thus siffrin's happy ending nails loop's coffin)#(THIS IS IGNORING TWOHATS PREREQS GOTTEN ONEHATS. Hey there ghouls and goblins! A secret project that's been in the works for the Freaks & Facades crew has been getting this amazing artwork done!
The was commissioned from the amazing Facundo Nehuén López, an amazing Argentinian artist (who also goes by @Fackeate on Twitter)! They were an inspiring person to work with, bringing our characters to life in mindblowing ways! I highly would work with them again!
Clockwise (starting Top Left): Pryrrish the star elf warlock, Channa the human duskblade (and earth familiar Igneous), Solange the banshee caliban gravedigger, Fenri the halfling cleric, and Schrödinger the human boneblade scientist.
