Fratres Suumsim's Steampunk world

I am so excited that the creator of one of my all time favorite worlds, Entworld, made another world, Fratres. Entworld is so imaginative. According to the descriptions, there are four tombs to solve in the world. I've found a couple of keystones so far.

Got a couple of hours to play and decided to make a journey to Sim world, which I wanted to explore for almost half of year. It was worth waiting: Fratres has very intense steampunk vibes, and it's so cool.

Lorena - a granddaughter of my townees - is already intrigued by its mysteries.

Yet another Latin Query

Tearing my hair out here- I'm trying to expand some abbreviations even though my knowledge of Latin is infantile at best, and the crib says that the abbreviation 'fr̄s mei c̄cesser̄' should be expanded 'fratres mei concesserint'.

But I am now very confused about possessive adjectives because I would have assumed that a nominative plural subject 'fratres' would be followed by 'meorum' not 'mei'? Or can both be true or is meorum just plain wrong and if it is then why?

Summary: 79 CE. Rome is seeing an influx of slaves from the growing empire and its population is growing bored, restless and increasingly violent. However, the people are kept in line by the promise of free food and spectacular entertainment in the form of chariot racing, animal combat and gladiator fights.

75 CE. Aldea, a young spaniard woman from Baetica, was not supposed to be one of those slaves coming to Rome but after getting stuck on a merchant's boat, she found herself being shown off at the market, but it seemed the fates' cruelty was finally over when a man named Tenax bought her to get her off that stage after she caught his eye.

So one of the things I enjoy when I do deep dives on characters is checking what their names are in other languages. Sometimes the results are pretty meh/whatever (be it because it's the same name or otherwise), sometimes they're hilarious and sometimes there are some interesting ideas and implications.

Here's one for our darling and friend of the show, Cipher Admin Ein. [Tldr at the bottom]

In the German version of Pokémon Colosseum Ein is known as Professor Culpa. Aside from giving him a nice title that I'm sure he loves and implying an academic background (to the surprise of no one), culpa is Latin and means guilt, fault or blame.

It's also technically grammatically feminine, but hey, leave the poor man be.

This is, for lack of a better term, kind of deep if you consider how he's one of, if not the main culprit (pun intended) and brains behind the creation of Shadow Pokémon, with his research enabling what are considered to be quite horrific acts in-universe - from what Cipher does to Pokémon to the all the crimes they committed in Orre using Shadow Pokémon.

There is a bit of a spiritual and/or religious angle to it too. Some of you may be familiar with the Confiteor, one of the prayers of the Penitential Act in the Catholic Church, also used in the Lutheran and Anglican Church. It contains the following passage (translation below, emphasis mine):

Confiteor Deo omnipotenti, et vobis fratres [et sorores], quia peccavi nimis cogitatione, verbo, opere et omissione: mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.

I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers [and sisters], that I have greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.

Tldr: German Ein gets weirdly deep and is probably going to hell for his sins, especially since he's not sorry at all.

None of this matters in life if you don't have a good heart.

This is unfair, that is unfair, this is bad, and that is even worse. One says why don't you go to church, another says that you are not worthy of something specific. Only the Lord can show a person the way, and not condemn him.

And some people think it's okay to say that to a person. and the Lord will say that the person deserves more, and will remove evil people and judges from him.

The main thing is that you are a human being.
