Friendly reminder that Percy jackson - our beloved silly adorable seaweed brain - is absolutely terrifying. When he’s angry, when he’s scared, when he’s on edge - he’s not warm and fuzzy.

No other character gets that reaction from people. Jason (the sweetie) is perceived as calm and in control, nico (our favorite self-outcasted outcast) is perceived as solemn and creepy, reyna (girlboss queen slay) is perceived as confident and assertive, and annabeth (our girl) is perceived as fierce, clever, and formidable. They are all intimidating to an extent.

But not like Percy. No. Becasue even when he’s at ease, he’s described as wild and disobedient. And when he’s not at ease, even if just little bit, he’s perceived as powerful, dangerous, and scary. Someone who NOBODY wants to mess with. Nobody even questions his power. One look from him has literal gangs running the other way. One look from him has Leo so scared that he’s literally shaking, and feeling the same innate fright and alarm that he does when jason summons an ear-piercing, earth-shaking, deadly bolt of lighting.

like… HELLO??? can we all just sit on that for a moment?? good lord

One angry look from percy has people thinking one thing: Run.

Percy is, canonically, the character that people find the most frightening and intimidating.

And unless he’s in a good mood - which you better hope he is - the reality is that most of us would be completely terrified of him if we met him.

disney news alert

so the proxy war has some news.... just so you guys know.... nelson peltz is the biggest individual shareholder in disney, and he is unhappy with disney like a lot of us are. he wants to replace two people on the board of directors, which bob iger does not like(bob iger sucks hes running disney into the ground). imma be honest with yall, walt disney always paid his writers a lot and incorporated diversity all throughout his studio. anyways. this proxy war has been going on for like a month or two... blackcell also wants to replace some people on the board, but they're less family first. nelson peltz wants to make the parks the way they were pre-iger(more like during the reign of michael eisner and frank wells). now, elon musk is hinting at acquiring disney. now people don't like elon. but i think he could be good in the fact that he just wants to make money? and the best way to do that is to please people. disney is standing on the back of the parks and the back is about to break. there's two ways elon can go about this to yk change disney for the better. he can either buy a bunch of shares and assist nelson peltz, or he can just buy disney altogether. there will be backlash no matter what happens, but disney needs to change or its gonna go away. no one wants that

Y’all remember that scene in SoN when Percy punched a bookcase cus he remembered smth abt annabeth and then forgot it and got frustrated? I just realized how fucking scared hazel and frank must’ve been in that scene, like at that point in time they didn’t know him very well, they’d only been with him for a few days + he had amnesia so even he didn’t know much about himself. So all they saw was this scary, strong, godlike 16-17 year old with a weird and frankly disturbing fighting style punch this book case out of no where while looking pissed and (probably) breathing heavily, so just imagine what they were thinking, they probably thought Percy was about to fucking murder them or flood the city bc he got some super important memory about his life that told him they were his enemy or something, I mean hell the lares at camp Jupiter were calling him “graecus” from day 1 and his father was basically a walking red flag, also at this point in time neither frank or hazel were very strong, frank couldn’t shapeshift and was relatively new to fighting as a whole and hazel hadn’t mastered her powers as much or learned how to use the mist, so if Percy did attack them they were most likely fucked

Truly tho Dune worldbuilding is the best worldbuilding because it is BONKERS but it's also full of holes where Frank Herbert simply did not care to elaborate cause that's not what he was interested in writing about. So you can have something like "interstellar travel runs on a bunch of fish men who trip balls and fold space" and if you want to spend time figuring out how the fuck that works the pocket to stick your brain in is right there.

How do you feed an underground city of 10,000 in a desert? How do you dismount from a speeding sandworm? How do you poop in a stillsuit? Frank didn't say and it's up to you to find out.
