I make period drama style gifs. If you use gif packs, please like and reblog them. Most of my projects are already ready, but every day I post no more than 190 gifs. Because that was the reason why my previous account was blocked.

I tried to make gif packs in a format more familiar to you with a link to a separate page. However, unfortunately, I did not succeed because of the large format of high-quality gifs.

I want to explain about color processing. Usually, I improve the contrast, brightness and saturation, but leave the naturalness of the film. I don't make the contours too sharp because I like the aesthetic of it looking like a natural image.

holy fucking shit i am losing my mind over the hbomberguy vaccine video

(yes i know it came out almost 2 years ago i only just got into his stuff alright)

like i knew andrew wakefield's original study was bullshit; when i did a module on autism in undergrad, one of the first things my professor said was that this study was bullshit—it was only done on 12 kids, he owned the patent for the seperate vaccines, it was later retracted for being total bullshit and wakefield wankfield lost his medical license; HE IS NO LONGER A DOCTOR

we were not told:

the study didn’t even FIND anything!! even after wankfield tweaked data, lied about what parents said, his conclusions were that he hadn’t found any actual evidence BUT he really thought there might be a link between the MMR vaccine and autism

(that, for those of you not in the know, is not how academia works, you need evidence)

some of the children in the study weren’t even autistic

of those 12 children, only about half of the parents were reported as saying they thought the MMR vaccine caused their kid’s autism (BASED OFF NOTHING BUT SPECULATION, I MIGHT ADD) and at least one of the fathers has said that wankfield straight-up lied about him saying that

wankfield was hired by a lawyer to ‘‘‘find’’’ evidence of autism so that lawyer could launch a class action lawsuit on behalf of like, 12 parents who thought their kids’ autism was caused by their MMR vaccinations

in the same journal edition the original paper was published, there was another paper by other doctors saying that wankfield’s assertions seemed deeply fishy

the parents were not able to give informed consent to their kids’ medical examinations because wankfield didn't list the risks of the procedures on the ‘consent’ forms

honestly, if you haven’t already, you should probably just watch HBomberGuy’s video. he cites all of his sources and there is so much more insane stuff i’m not even getting into here

but like, i get parents being scared of medical stuff they don’t fully understand, i get wanting nothing but the best for your kid because they’re your kid and you want to protect them, that is a noble and reasonable thing to want to do!!

however. the SLIGHTEST glimpse at this ‘‘‘study’’’ and it becomes painfully, dangerously clear that there is no and indeed never has been any link between vaccines and autism. by refusing to vaccinate your children, you are actually putting them at more risk and in more danger.

if there’s one thing people need to understand about vaccines, it’s that they weren’t created on a whim. measles, tetanus, polio, mumps, rubella, used to KILL hundreds if not thousands of people a year:

the vaccination rate in france for measles fell below 90% around 2008 and it caused an outbreak in the population that killed at least 10 people

the effects of long-COVID are only just becoming apparent, and even young and healthy people are getting seriously harmed by infection

herd immunity is about 95% vaccination in the population, and it is so, so crucially important that everyone who can get vaccinated does get vaccinated, because people with weakened immune systems (like very young or old people, or people undergoing chemotherapy) will be relying on herd immunity to stay safe. so it isn’t just your kid you’re putting at more risk, but other people’s kids, too

and, also, one final lil’ note:

EVEN IF VACCINES DID CAUSE AUTISM (and they don’t) IT IS MUCH BETTER FOR YOUR CHILD TO BE AUTISTIC THAN TO BE KILLED BY A COMPLETELY PREVENTABLE DISEASE

ST. TIMOTHEUS,ROMAN MARTYR ON THE VIA OSTIENSE,

ST. SYNFORIANUS, MARTYR OF AUTUN,

St. John Kemble, 1679 A.D. One of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales. He was born in Herefordshire, England, in 1599, and studied at Douai, where he was ordained in 1625. Returning to England, John labored in missions for fifty-three years. At the age of eighty-one, he was arrested at Pembridge Castle, the home of his brother. He was falsely charged in the Titus Oates Plot and condemned for being a Catholic. He was hanged, drawn, and quartered at Hereford. Pope Paul VI canonized him in 1970.

St. John Wall, 1679 A.D. One of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales. He was born near Preston, England, and was educated at Douai and Rome and ordained in 1645. In 1651 he became a Franciscan, called Father Joachim of St. Anne, returning to Worcester, England, in 1656. There he was arrested in December 1678 and imprisoned for five months. He was martyred by being hanged, drawn, and quartered at Redhill. Pope Paul VI canonized him in 1970.

Bl. Richard Kirkman, 1582 A.D. English martyr. Born in Addingham, Yorkshire, he left England and studied at the famous Catholic school of Douai, France, the preparatory institution for English Catholics who would then return home and work for the reconversion of the isle. Ordained in 1579, in Reims, he sailed to England and served as a tutor for Richard Dymake’s family in Scrivelsby. Richard then went to Yorkshire and Northumberland and he was arrested near Wakefield. He was hanged, drawn, and quartered near York with Blessed William Lacey, on August 22, for denying the supremacy of Queen Elizabeth I as head of the Church of England

Bl. William Lacey, 1582 A.D. Martyr of England. Born in Horton, West Riding, Yorkshire, he distinguished himself as a lawyer and as an ardent Catholic, using his house as a refuge for the much oppressed Catholics of the time. Following the death of his second wife in 1579, he left England and studied at Reims, France, in preparation for his eventual ordination at Rome. William returned to England and worked in the area of Yorkshire until his arrest. He was arrested in York Prison while participating in the Eucharistic ceremony being sung in the cell of Blessed Thomas Bell. Condemned, he was executed at Knavesmaire, just outside of York with Blessed Richard Kirkman. William was beatified in 1886.

St. Gunifort. A martyr of Pavia, Italy. He was Irish, Scottish, or English.

St. Sigfrid. Sigfrid, who died in the year 690, was a deacon at Wearmouth Abbey. He was known for his knowledge of scripture and for his frail health. He was elected coadjutor abbot in 688 on the death of St. Erstwine while Abbot St. Benedict Biscop was in Rome. Sigfrid died soon after St. Benedict.

St. Andrew the Scot, 877 A.D. Archdeacon and companion of St. Donatus. Andrew and his sister, St. Bridget the Younger, were born in Ireland of noble parents. They were educated by St. Donatus, and when Donatus went on a pilgrimage to Italy, Andrew accompanied him. In Fiesole, through a miracle, Donatus was elected bishop. Andrew was ordained the archdeacon of Fiesole, serving Donatus for fortyseven years. He also founded a monastery in Mensola, Italy. Andrew died shortly after Donatus, but his sister, St. Bridget the Younger, was carried by an angel to his bedside, all the way from Ireland.

St. Arnulf, 9th century. Hermit, venerated at Arnulphsbury or Eynesbury, in England.

St. Ethelgitha. Benedictine abbess of Northumbria, England.

St. Antoninus (died 186) was a public executioner in Rome. It is believed that during the trial of St Eusebius he had a vision and converted to Christianity. The proclamation of faith cost his life and he was beheaded in 186. His feast day is 22 August.

Richard Plantagenet, the third Duke of York was born on the 21st September, 1411 which was exactly 593 years before that of the Communist Party of India ( Maoist) with whom he shares his birthday. He spent his youth battling the French feudalists and imperialists in Normandy thereby avenging the colonisation of England by the Normans some three centuries prior and had built himself mass support amongst the peasantry and the proletariat of England and Ireland to overthrow the elements of the feudal classes who favoured the Henry of Lancaster ( commonly known as Henry VI & II of England and France) which was wont to partake in anti-people measures ( amongst other things by corruption and graft thereby letting the Beauforts monopolise the control of the productive forces in England and by depriving the poorer peasantry and proletariat who had less than 40 shillings from having any say in governance by depriving them the right to vote in 1430). As it is evident, he was in contact with the mass uprising led by Jack Cade and the fact that he had based his demands on what the people had demanded in the uprising but in a more formalized manner shows that he came up with the Maoist practice of implementing the mass-line on his own. He then waged the People's War against the House of Lancaster and was ultimately beheaded in Wakefield at 1460 by the Lancastrian roadsters.

Made out of durable, resistant fibers VERS DES HORIZONS INCONNUS, 2023 brings a bright and colorful accent to the parvis, contrasting the sandstone palette of its surroundings all whilst establishing a dialogue with the architectural features of The Collège des Quatre-Nations.

The works’ complex composition reveals itself fully when discovered from different angles, as its colors swift and the view opens up on the Pont des Arts, the Seine, and finally the Louvre on theopposite riverfront.

To show this work in Paris, Sheila Hicks chose a location connected to her history with the city; a short walk from her studio near Odeon down the rue de Seine, the street she first lived on when she arrived in Paris in the 1960s.

The work is part of her column series and has been exhibited this summer in Légendes Botaniques, Biennale d’art contemporain, Chateau de Menthon-Saint-Bernard near Annecy. Other works from this series have been exhibited at the Sydney Biennale, 2016; the Horst Arts & Music Festival & Horst Exhibition, Belgium, 2018; Artists and the Rothko Chapel: 50 Years of Inspiration, Moody Center of the Arts, Houston, TX, USA, 202; and Sheila Hicks: Off Grid, The Hepworth Wakefield, 2022. A catalog will be published on this series by the end of 2023 with a text by Frauke V. Josenhans, Associate Curator at the Moody Center for the Arts, Rice University.

STS. HILARIOUS AND TAZIANO, MARTYRS OF AQUILEIA

Bl. John Amias, 1589 A.D. Also called John Anne, a martyr in England. He was born and married near Wakefield where he became a cloth dealer. When his wife died, he went to Reims and was ordained a Priest in 1581. Returning to England, he worked until his arrest by English authorities. Hanged, drawn, and quartered at York with Blessed Robert Dalby, he was beatified in 1929.

Bl. Robert Dalby, 1589 A.D. English martyr. Born at Hemingborough, Yorkshire, he was a Protestant minister before he converted to Catholicism and left England to become a priest. Ordained in 1588 after studies at Douai and Reims, France, he returned home. The next year he was arrested and hanged, drawn, and quartered at York on March 16, with Blessed John Amias. He was beatified 1929.

St. Abban, 620 A.D. Abbot and Irish missionary. An Irish prince, Abban was the son of King Cormac of Leinster. He is listed as the nephew of St. Ibar. Abban founded many churches in the old district of Ui Cennselaigh, in modern County Wexford and Ferns. His main monastery is Magheranoidhe, in Adamstown, Ireland. This monastery's fame is attributed in some records to another Abban, that of New Ross. Abban is also associated with Kill-Abban Abbey in Leinster, serving as abbot there until March 16, 620. He is revered in Adamstown, which was once called Abbanstown.

St. Finian Lobharm, 560 A.D. Irish abbot, a disciple of St. Columba. He was born in Bregia, Leinster, Ire-land. Tradition credits him with founding a church at Innisfallen and a monastery there as well. After a stay in Clonmore, Finian Lobhar became abbot of Swords Abbey near Dublin. He may have returned to Clonmore in his later years and was called Lobhar, “the Leper,” but apparently did not have that disease. He acquired the name when he contracted leprosy from a young boy whom he cured of the disease.

rosie was born to prince george and princess marguerite of iconven, a sunny morning in july. her mother was a count’s daughter from france and her father’s brother was the king. a health condition prevented him from having an heir of his own. for this reason, a son was wanted. but her parents loved their daughter. rosie was educated by a governess. more children joined the family. in all, rosie had six siblings, two of which being twins. she loved art and fell in love with fashion. when rosie turned eighteen, her uncle found a suitable husband for her. from a young age, rosie was told she was required to keep her country happy. as much as she didn’t want to, she agreed to the marriage. she met duke sebastian wakefield (who was in his mid-fifties) before the match was announced to the public. only a few weeks afterwards, the duke died. alarmed, her uncle found another match for her. prince matthieu of neighboring country, vobuvaria. he was a year her senior, a much more appropriate match with better circumstances for all. she met her future husband at a ball. matthieu was shy, blushing every time he spoke to rosie. the wedding was a few weeks later, forcing rosie to say goodbye to her family and country. she started sobbing halfway through the vows. her uncle was humiliated and scolded her afterward. her mother warned her about the wedding night, how she must do her duty as the wife. however, nothing happened that night. her mother gently sat her down to give some advice. weeks later, rosie broke under all the pressure and “seduced” her husband.

rosie tries her best in her new kindom. it’s hard to be without her parents. only six months after the wedding, she learned her father was dead. matthieu, understanding the pain of loosing a loved one, was extremely supportive. the couple bounded during the time of mourning. after her father’s death, rosie found out she was pregnant. her uncle and husband’s family were pleased. however, the joy didn’t last long. she lost the baby. seeing her daughter under so much stress, she has her come home for a few months. the break was much needed. rosie came back as her old self. by the next year, rosie was pregnant. she was extremely concerned this time and refused to leave her bed, believing physical activity was what caused her to miscarry.it took lots of prying from midwives, doctors and her husband to get her out of bed. the pregnancy was very hard for rosie. after a traumatic delivery, the child is born healthy. a daughter, named elodie after matthieu’s late grandmother. rosie became a fashion icon. she adored bright, pastel colors, popularizing them. yellow fever spreads throughout the palace, infecting the royal family. rosie’s worst fear was losing another baby. she focused everything on making sure elodie got better. fortunately, mattheiu, rosie and elodie survive. however, his mother and her husband do not.

rose and mattheiu took the crown. she hated all the responsibility put on her shoulders. charity work was her main concern. rumors of rebellion sprang up, but other politicians and advisors assured them it was nothing. although matthieu admitted he was becoming suspicious of one of their advisors, Lord Eade who seemed to be making decisions that would only benefit him. matthieu talked to his advisors about it, though he was left in the dark. rosie tires to comfort her husband. she tries to avoid politics as much as she can, since she hates it. rosie gives birth to another girl. they call her lisette, after matthieu’s mother. rosie stressed over not having a son, but matthieu adored his daughters. there was time to have an heir. an uprising began. rosie remained calm and elegant to others. she threw a ball, inviting everyone who could dress for it. the people were angry at this. since the only people who could dress for it, were wealthy. rosie’s health struggled under all the stress. matthieu asked countless doctors to look after her. however, there was hardly anything they could do. when an angry mod broke into the palace, the royal family was put into hiding. rosie suffered another miscarriage. but she and matthieu kept hoping things will go back to the way they were.
