it has no basis in canon and i don't know if it's historically sound or sensical whatsoever but i dont care. fran deserves the most rugged lads around to keep up with her insatiable needs.

according to my HCs sadık is what i'd call hypermasculine. ripped as fuck, with copious, thick, dark body hair - and a bit cocky. alasdair as well, he's shy but buff and hairy and chubby - the bear trifecta. i guess alfred isn't a bear in the truest sense of the word, like in my opinion he's hella muscular but not very hairy at all, prob shaves or waxes. he could also be chubby as a treat, why not? it is always morally correct to make characters chubby. (also, alfred wore a bear waiter outfit in the april fools ep so. honorary bear :3)

i also think the ship works particularly well with transfemme françois(e) but it could absolutely work with bigender/genderfluid male/nb fran too! (for anyone who's new here i always HC france as amab and some kind of genderqueer or transfeminine) but i digress!

so i don't know all too much about poly relationship styles IRL but i see this as being a closed, committed/exclusive relationship where it's fran (goldilocks) and her 3 bears all living together. they're all completely devoted to her and she loves them each equally. healthy polyamory isn't about giving 3 people each 33.3% of your heart, it's about being able to love with your entire heart three times over.

sharing a barbie doll like that isn't easy but fran makes sure that whoever she's with at the moment, he knows she's all his. the three guys bond over prioritizing her happiness, and despite the complexity of their lifestyle they don't butt heads too much if at all.

i don't really see them as being involved with each other romantically, separate from fran. they're brother husbands. saying they're like roommates with the same gf isn't unaccurate but would be way oversimplifying it. they're involved in each other's lives to a point where they're inseparable. they've all chosen to settle down together so their bond is on a much closer level than mere friendship, but it's mostly platonic?? ngl they probably do engage in foreplay together and make out a lil bit. they'd do it if their queen wanted to watch.

additionally i'm not sure if they'd be friends organically, as in without fran there to unify them in the first place. their personalities are all very different and have different needs in their relationships with her.

alasdair has a lower social battery compared to the others and needs more time alone, including alone with the wifey, to just sit and cuddle and talk. alfred is high energy and needs a lot of attention. (read: walkies. he's a puppyboy) sadık is pretty independent, but likes being treated like a king, so fran puts a lot of effort into impresing him and performing acts of service for him.

and in some ways, they're very similar. all of them have possessive, territorial qualities (fran loves a possessive man) while alasdair and alfred are the jealous type. aly because he can be somewhat insecure and clingy, alfred bc he's a bit immature. i don't see sadık as truly getting jealous, he's too self-confident, but instrad he's very competitive and dominant so basically same difference.

alfred is undeniably a boytoy and yet so much more. he's optimistic and uplifting, he makes her feel young and playful and never lets her get bored. alasdair is who she goes to when emotionally vulnerable, the gentle one who provides moral support, guides and empowers her. sadik loves to challenge her on a physical and intellectual level, encouraging her talents while keeping her on her toes.

those are just examples, their roles don't stop there. they make her laugh, protect her, hold her, shower her with affection and gifts, always look out for her best interests, praise her not only for beauty but the generous, warm-hearted person she is. whatever she needs.

even though it might seem like they're her manservants, she has three husbands to take care of!! making dinners and packing lunches, keeping a big house clean, keeping them comfortable etc. it's hard work for her to balance and nurture all these relationships, individually and as a foursome, but if anyone can do it it's our girl.

between the three of them she's rewarded generously... her poor booty tho... ok i suppose i'll stop there but please feel free to send more asks about them or anything else literally whenever <3

What don’t we like?

Stinging nettle!

So we had a lovely evening with Fran, Nick, Ben and Lilly. A bit of wine flowed, and I was sure Nick was going to have a case of wine flu but we seems to have avoided that (either that or he suffered in silence). Having over shot the turning to Fran holiday cottage, I’m sure I had Nick freaking out about kiwi drivers but I did manage a safe “u turn” and considering he is risking my driving again tonight it can’t have been too bad. We left dinner with a job to do to, gluing the seating plan poster to a piece of cardboard and the event timetable - good to feel useful.

This morning started with a 12km run, our longest on holiday and with most elevation. After not really feeling like actually going, it was a good run, and I am pleased to say I did run/jog it (no walking). I get that for some people the idea of going for run is just about exercise and just seems like a chore, and at times it does for me too, but it is also an activity, something planned for the day, that other things then fit around. We were out for about 2hrs today enjoying a range of landscapes, and terrain. Nick still doesn’t like mud and even less when it is muddy down hill. And today we both hated the stinging nettle, it seems like it was fully charged and out to get both of us, some of the stings seem to take a few hours to settle. Again Nick and I have different approaches, I just run and jump through, Nick does a lot more dodging of the nettle.

We did have first breakfast before the run, and ordered a bacon sandwich which we then took as a takeaway for our second breakfast. On return from the run, our room hadn’t been serviced which made it hard to know do we wait or get on and bath/shower - with the other person prepared to answer the door and not open it to far (too avoid flashing the housekeeping staff). In the end we almost managed to bath before they turned up, but Nick did have to run into the toilet room so I could get more milk and tea bags from housekeeping.

Yesterday I thought I would see if it was possible to get a manicure and pedicure appointment for today and yes I could, felt nice to sit back and relax - until my feet got very tickled, then there was lots of trying not to pull my feet away and to not shriek with with laughter. Nick went and had a pint of beer while I was there and then we had a look through some of the other shops before heading back to our room for some more relaxing, book reading and random TV watching. We are off out to dinner shortly with the family, at a local but still need to drive pub. I look forward to seeing what a £25 burger looks like!

both versions r meant to be like murder mysteries yk?? and they're both set in time settings where it's not quite the future, but im also not a historian so they're also not completely historically accurate T-T they just take place in the past LMFAO but the original ver is more like dark academia centered where the murder takes place at this elitist academy/boarding school in the middle of nowhere, and reader is like a "charity case" whose uncle took her under his wing after her parents were murdered or something, and changmin is like studying to become a physician and they both get looped into the investigation. i have a some written of that ver but it's not very interesting 💀

AND recently like two days ago 💀 i went back to one of the ideas i had for the banner before i started writing the dark academia one (wow that's such a long sentence). anyways, said idea was to take place in like ,, not a school 🤡 but idk if you've read the stalking jack the ripper series but it's based on that !! AND a little bit of six of crows too 🤡 it's not fantastical or anything, but changmin is like a doctor in the lower end and someone's been out here murdering people and shit. changmin is also kind of inspired by daredevil and kaz brekker, but i'll have to get into that some other time 💀

that was one of my favorite parts lol i think this ver of bones has captured a bit more of my interest than the other ver? tho, i would love to see where the other ver went, just cuz i already put so much thought into the storyline and characters and headcanons and back stories, etc.

i just wanted to say, im currently re-reading clinic for a third time (twice to myself and the third is out-loud for a friend) and although i noticed this on my first read-through, i can’t get over how much detail you put into every single character for the world building. i can tell you’re someone who doesn’t watch JUST 2-4 streamers, and that you hop around various streams and create a lot of variety for what you watch, even when you have your own personal biases (as everyone does). I LOVE THAT SO MUCH. THANK YOU!!! or maybe i’m just reading too far into things and you somehow gathered a lot of knowledge about the various creators, but either way, it’s seriously appreciated!!!

like, the fic is mostly crimeboys/SBI/benchtrio centric, but i wanted to point out some of the details that a lot of other people who don’t watch a huge variety of streamers wouldn’t catch:

your characterization of foolish. you NAILED the mannerisms of his streamer counterpart and dsmp character PERFECTLY. i can *hear* how chipper and enthusiastic he is, despite the stress of working wayyy too many shifts for the cafe, similarly to how his dsmp character has reacted to the resurgence of the bloodvines. he still keeps a level of positivity in stressful situations, and the way you wrote him is just. so great. one scene in particular that really stands out to me is when tommy notices him injured with eret while in vigilante form. the whole, “to-toooonight? how are you doing tonight, random citizen?”. BRO. BRO I CAN HEAR HIM!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN HEAR IT!!!!!

second, the added detail that phil loves halo and has been playing it for years!!! a lot of typical philza viewers don’t really catch that he used to be a hardcore halo enjoyer, so i LOVE that that little detail was included :) i’m not familiar with the game itself, but the friend who i was reading the fic aloud to recognized the way you wrote how phil + tommy playing and said that he could visualize them playing a specific map and gamemode perfectly.

fran. you included fran. i am shaking your shoulders I LOVE FRAN!!! typically in fics that feature sam as a side character, they don’t really recognize how important fran is to sam. THANK U FOR INCLUDING THE SMP’S MOST BELOVED PUPPY <3 also, the added detail that sam used to be a hero but switched? his run-in and tension with ponk? amazing. perfectly parallel to his dsmp counterpart.

techno’s love for potatoes. him being completely engrossed in a documentary about polar bears and loving one named steve in particular. yes yes yes.

jack wanting to name himself and niki by being inspired by greenland and icelands’ tactics for “confusing the enemy”. niki thinks it’s silly but she goes along with it anyway and she’s still fond of the idea. a wonderfully accurate depiction of their dynamic :’)

clinic!george being apathetic as fuck. yes. exactly like his smp character. a lot of people seem to make george in fics more emotional/apathetic/generally aware of most situations, but this was a refreshing change to see. good shit.

your characterization of clinic!sapnap too!!!! also a mirror image of his SMP character!! the moral dilemma of seeing his friends do fucked up shit takes a toll on him both in clinic and on the SMP, and i love to think that if c!dream didn’t do the insanely fucked up shit to the degree that he took it, c!sapnap probably would’ve done something similar to clinic!sapnap. he would’ve stayed with him, because he’s his family (again, obvi this is if c!dream wasn’t as murderous/abusive/power hungry/generally cray cray as he actually is. a canon alternative).

and. and. and. for this last one i have to physically withhold myself from typing out too much because i KNOW i’m gonna gush a lot, but. THE ENTIRETY OF HOW YOU WROTE QUACKITY!!!! ALL OF HIM!!!! I AM SO NORMAL ABOUT THIS I AM SANE!!!!!!!

basically. basically. you have the most incredibly spot on interpretation of what kind of person AND villain quackity would be. you don’t understand. he’s my favorite villain of yours by far. the way that jester operates in being “a close business associate” with the syndicate and keeps his membership in this organization out of the public eye? oh my god. HE IS SO SLEEZY. HE OPERATES EXACTLY HOW C!QUACKITY WOULD. you have the best mixture of him being this funny, goofy dude that loves pulling jokes and being the comedy man, while also being an incredibly intelligent, resourceful, full of wits villain. he loved the chaos of things and fucking around, but knows how to get shit done. amazing. incredible. unbelievable. unstoppable. i want to take clinic!quackity/jester and put him in an oven /pos

AND. i must ask. is jester’s superpowers inspired by the fact that one of quackity’s go-to bits on stream + in mod videos is the fact that he changes his skin a shit ton? like he’ll hop from various bits and put on a different act/voice depending on the skin. ofc it’s not really the same, but was the shapeshifting inspired by that idea? idk if i’m reading too much into this, but major props even if you did that accidentally

ANYWAY!!!! i’m so sorry this is so long, this has been on my mind for a long time, and i just now got the energy to dump all of my passionate rambling on you. you are an incredibly talented author and i really really appreciate the details that you add for each and every character, it doesn’t go unnoticed and i appreciate it so much <3 i’m someone who watches a massive variety of streamers and it was so fun to catch all of these moments in the fic.

oh my god this just made me smile so so hard holy shit. first off, thank you for sending this giant essay to my inbox /gen i literally LOVE hearing stuff like this, especially when people notice smaller details like you pointed out! yes, I do in fact try to watch a lot of streamers! obviously I don't watch every single dsmp members lore streams bc i wouldn't have a life, but I try to watch at least several major lore streams for each person because I'm just genuinely interested in everyone's stuff going on on the smp?? and also I wanna be able to characterize them as best I can and I'm so glad that came through!

i love c!foolish so much. i'm so happy you could hear his lines in his voice because he's such a chipper guy even when he's in a bad situation! he tries to make light of things even when he's panicking or super stressed!

and god yeah I didn't wanna make phil play minecraft in that scene because it felt just too... on the nose I guess? so since I knew that cc!phil has talked about his love of halo before i thought it would be a lot of fun to include! also, i'm very glad your friend recognized what I was referencing. I was never a super intense halo player, but I have fond memories of my dad and I playing a few maps on multi player together, and my go to thing was always to drive the 'ghost' vehicle I described. I loved flying as high as I could in it so I wanted to include that bit when tommy was playing it lol

also people who don't mention fran when writing sam have definitely never seen sam during the egg arc (which is a huge disservice because his egg lore was so good). mans had a whole manic episode destroying the vines and locking her away to keep her safe from the vines, fran is SO important to him so I always feel like i have to mention her when i write sam (and of course I had to mention ponk bc of how important they are to c!sam's development. c!sam is literally one of my favorite characters on the entire smp. I could go on for ages about him and I wanted to give him a really solid character in clinic even if he wasn't a big focus)

i love making techno love potatoes in all my fics. it's such a dumb bit but it's very funny to me

rocketduo are my beloveds oh my god. literally the reason i made an mcytblr account in the first place right around this time last year was because I desperately wanted to post my hot takes on c!rocketduos attempts to kill tommy. obviously they're less traumatized in clinic than they both are in dsmp, so they have a slightly lighter dynamic, and i loved getting to translate that to here!

literally i never understood why people always made george be some good guy in fics because c!george is literally the most apathetic guy around. he doesn't really give a shit about morality, he just does what he wants. there's so much wasted potential when people just use him to be part of dream's moral compass or whatever with sapnap. no! let george be dream's partner in his fucked up shit or just not care what dream's doing!

and then that ties into sapnap because if you make george apathetic as hell, it provides an even better foil to sapnap. c!sapnap is so good, i've loved seeing his shift in the dsmp as dream has gotten worse and worse. he's such a good and interesting character, and I'm glad you agree that if dsmp!dream was a bit less fucked up, dsmp!sapnap would probably still stick by his side. he's loyal! dream is his best friend! but he has limits, and in clinic dream wasn't as evil as dsmp!dream, so sapnap hadn't reached his breaking point yet. but it was still such a fun dynamic to play with and a great way for me to parallel him with tommy

oh my god yes quackity my BELOVED! every time my man quackity does one of his big lore streams i am sitting at my computer frothing at the mouth with popcorn because c!quackity is one of the best damn written characters on the dsmp. he is SO interesting, and i'm really glad i nailed that balance of humor and intelligence he has. he's charismatic, he knows how to make himself likable, but he's also grown ruthless over time and knows how to be a sharp businessman. i also want to put him in an oven. and yes you are spot on for why I made him a shapeshifter! i once saw a comic a long time ago that hc'd dsmp!quackity as a shapeshifter because of his constant switching skins for bits, and that just stuck with me. so when i was coming up with his power for clinic, i thought shapeshifter was absolutely perfect. so glad you caught that!

franmaya is really good i love it i think the fact that the times franziska has chosen to do the right thing and help out have been the times when maya is in danger is enough that if it were a m/m ship no one would be questioning why you ship but and even if it was 'pair the spares' that's legal to do with femslash. not to mention maya's whole thing is forcing being silly and lighthearted to cover up and pain she's feeling whereas fran's is forcing being stern and competent and i think they both see through each other on that front pretty immediately.

i also think that fran definitely still has a lot of leftover guilt from everything that happened with her dad, and if there's anyone who knows about the burden of a family legacy it's maya. and maya feels useless and incompetent compared to the people around her and wants to work her hardest to have skills and talents of her own, and if there's anyone who can relate to feeling outclassed but trying to come into your own anyway then it's fran.

OH I don’t mind the question at all! Though let me be clear right now that this is going to be a completely subjective answer and also that it’s going to be heavy with spoilers. 

Okay, first things first, if I had to give jjk a general vote on a scale from 1 to 10 it’d be a 8, and that’s only because I read the prequel too! Right after catching up with the manga without any knowledge of the prequel’s existence it was a 7, barely (since Gege tends to treat the prequel in the main story as if you’re supposed to know about it, with all the mentions of Yuuta and Geto and stuff, but then never tells you anywhere in the manga that you were supposed to read it? Or that it exists at all? It even has a different name than the main story! I read the manga with the serious feeling that I was missing something, which I was and no one told me. Didn’t like that very much, ngl). 

I still enjoyed it greatly and binged it all in a day and a half, but, you know, I’ve never thought it a perfect story. Am I enjoying how it is and where it’s going? Yeah, yeah, immensely! I adore it, really, if my drawing it 24/7 for the past over half a year wasn’t proof enough 😂 but it tends to go too fast at times for my tastes, it isn’t especially good at exposition and has confused the everloving hell out of me more than just once. Also it’s chokefull with stuff you’d call foreshadowing that ends up meaning nothing at all in the end and that’s, like, something I wish Gege didn’t do since I tend to overthink these kind of things and then feel disappointed when nothing comes out of it 😂😂 that’s on me tho.

If I had to change anything about it.................no, nothing, I’m good with how it is. Like, it has a lot of problems, definitely, but it wouldn’t be the jjk I fell in love with if it was anything else. Do I think everyone will die by the end of it? Yeah. Am I sad some characters already have died? Very much so. I’m still good with how it is tho, it’s just how jjk is. What else...uhhhhhh right, the characters! I don’t have any I especially dislike or hate aside from Mahito, which I just can’t stand sorry Mahito stans he just isn’t my cup of tea at all 😂 I do have characters I don’t particularly care about, like... Ichiji? For example, or Kusakabe, or most of the Kyoto kids (even Kokichi and Mai only became characters I liked after they died tbh, aside from Miwa and Kamo I’m not particularly into any of them). I haveeeeeee mixed feelings about Yuki, but only cause I feel she outright used Geto’s kind heart and depression to reach her own goals in a way that felt a lot like just an experiment for a theory she had, and I live and die for Geto so you can see why I would resent her for this 😂 but other than that she’s pretty cool, so I’m on the fence with her (again, sorry Yuki stans, I don’t have anything against you all 🙏)

That’s it! Overall I love jjk and I’m fully on for the ride, but I wouldn’t lie to anyone and call it perfect 😂 it’s better tho, I like stories that can fail me and have in the past failed me more, I’m more relaxed while reading them

So I just found you are your fics lately, and I love them so much. They are so good! I finished reading Zero Redeeming Qualities & Im about at Ch9 of "Blood and Marrow". They are both amazing. Im going to start reading the inspirations for both stories as well (LY is finished & SlaveryTale pretty recently updated too; which is nice) when I get the chance. U write everyone so well, esp. Sans, Red, Edge, & Pap (tho Paps makes so me mad) in NRQ, & Sans, Terra, & Grillby in BAM.

You write Paps and Sans still so in-character in the Paps bad brother AU NRQ fic, which is no easy feat imo.

In NRQ I keep on thinking if only Grillby's was closer, because Sans would be a lot less isolated in that case w/ his bar mates and friend Grillby. I am happy there is some nice Grillby and Sans and Grllby content in BAM at least.

I am also loving the slow burn in NRQ (since I love slow burns), and the nice even pace you take BAM (Blood and Marrow on).

Also, for NRQ I love Kustard (it is a fav. of mine), and the potential for Kedgeup (I don't see this ship as much as Kustard, but I do actually quite like it) has me interested as well.

I wonder if your "Blood and Marrow" story is going to be a Sans/OC character in the future? We can always use more good ones of those (a favorite Sans/OC story of mine would be "Jack of All Trades". Which, if you haven't read, you totally should, it is SO good).

I know you are hiatus now after what happened to your family, but I just wanted to say I am excited for more of your stories whenever it is possible and good for you. Esp. Yeah, Sans and Grillby definitely get more time in Blood and Marrow. A chapter I’ve planned for ZRQ is going to get into Sans and his relationship with Grillby and the regulars there, but for now let’s just say that it isn’t an accident that the Undertale bros don’t live close to the bar.

In Blood and Marrow Terra is ace and Sans is ... sex averse. Both at least partially due to trauma. I’m toying with the idea of eventually having them in an asexual romance. If it happens it’ll be a ways out, though.

Thanks for the well wishes. Family stuff is at least calmer (nibling survived with minor brain damage, which is a fucking miracle, all things considered, and is now in a better residential facility. Things are looking up!), and I’m getting back into the groove of writing now that the holidays are behind us and I’m not running around like a madwoman.

I’m trying to write a little toward all of my projects each week, so hopefully I’ll start updating my stuff soon. Stargazer is the most intensive work so far, but I’m hoping to start releasing bits of it soon - short stories and vignettes and the like. -fran and maya have date nights where they each choose a place to eat and fran always chooses super fancy places and maya chooses little hole in the wall places and at first they were both uncomfy with each other's choices but now maya loves getting all dressed up and eating fancy stuff and fran doesnt mind getting some good homecooked meals

- also both the von karma siblings are bad at cooking because they were never really taught, mvk had cooks and stuff to make food for them so fran gets private lessons with maya and phoenix teaches miles how to cook the best he can lmao

-edgeworth is always very cold and phoenix is like a goddamn heater so they always are at equilibrium when they are close together

- also occasionally edgeworth will poke phoenix with his cold ass feet when theyre sleeping and phoenix will shriek so loud they get noise complaints

-phoenix has a full laugh that brightens a room. he'll start laughing at anything and then suddenly itll be funny as hell. edgeworth usually starts with a little "hm" and then will laugh a little and then compose himself, but when things are really funny he'll laugh and then start wheezing and it makes phoenix laugh even harder

-maya will also start laughing at anything her laugh is bright and she laughs in little bits and pieces. a fran laugh is rare but she will often just let out a loud "HA" and startle everyone as she continues to laugh

- there wasnt much place or time to laugh in the von karma household so both fran and miles take a while to laugh, but theyre learning!

- the gang LOVES to celebrate bdays. ANYONES. gumshoes. mayas. penny from the turnabout samurai case. heck even mia and gregory!

Back at ya with another franny and her favorite uncles fic. Inspired by this prompt by @ianandmickeygallavich. I honestly don't know where I was going with this but hope ya like it <33.

Soulmates...to me

"Uncle Ian, look at what I found."

They are babysitting Franny, again, not that it's a bad thing, in fact, Ian's not even complaining, he loves Franny, spending time with her, and he especially loves his niece and his husband bonding together. Franny definitely has a liking towards him, but not as much as she has for Ian though. Obviously.

"What'd you find, Fran?" he asks from the couch, where he's sitting with his husband – talking about their pick up's and renovating the ambulance.

"I found this magazine from mommy's old stuff," she says with a giant smile on her face. "And guess what it has a soulmate quiz." She shrieks excitedly, frantically waving the magazine – that looked like it had been through hell with torn pages, stains, and whatnot – in front of Ian's face.

"Mommy said your soulmate is the person you're meant to be with, you'll love them with all your heart, and they'll love you with all their heart too." She explained with her unfeigned innocence. "You and Uncle Mickey should take it – to see if your both soulmates"

Immediately, Mickey's head turns towards Ian, who he finds is already looking at him.

"What do you think?" the look says, "Wanna give it a go?"

"Why not" Mickey silently replies back with a shrug.

"Alright, lil red, we'll give it a go." Mickey now says loudly.

Franny hands the magazine to Ian, to read it out aloud since she can't read the big words yet.

"Okay" Ian drags out, "Let's do this shall we"

"First question, do you guys support each other's dreams?" Ian reads out, "I think so…yeah. What about you, mick."

"Oh yes for sure, remember that one dream you had about me being tied-"

"Mickey!" Ian loudly interrupts. "Not in front of Franny." Ian whispers through gritted teeth.

"Not what in front of me Uncle Ian? Did u have a dream about Uncle Mickey in a tie?" she says, as awkward as those questions are, the way she asks seems so endearing, Ian can't seem to lie to her. Somehow.

"Uhh…Y-yes I had a dream of Uncle Mickey in a tie." He stammers. Well, he's not wrong exactly.

"Anyways yes. I am definitely supportive of his dreams" Mickey continues, winking at Ian – who's currently giving him an unimpressed look.

"Okay read out the next question Uncle Ian" Franny says with excitement, jumping up and down on the armchair in front of them.

Ian gives Mickey a side-eye before he continues.

"What three things do you like about each other – actually why don't you go first, Mickey."

"Alright, well I can't say 2 out of 3 of the things I want to say because of you-know-who," Mickey says with a smirk on his face, his eyes wandering down from Ian's face towards his lap. Ian catches on immediately and rolls his eyes.

"So, I guess it's his looks, personality, and umm…our 'exercises' together." winking again at Ian.

Exercises? Ian thinks, whenever Ian calls him for a morning run or yoga, he always whines about how much he hates it. He thinks again on what he could possibly mean by exercises together – Ohhh. Those ones. The ones that they'll both (hopefully) never get tired of. While Ian was expecting and maybe wanted an answer of something sweeter, he guesses he can live with this, instead.

"Your turn Ian." Mickey says.

"Uh okay, I love our 'exercises' too mick, I love how you take care of me when I'm low and I love your looks as well", giving a beaming smile towards Mickey.

Okay now Mickey sort of thinks he should have given something better than what he said, but it's alright though, Ian already knows.

While Ian and Mickey are over there giving each other sly glances, Franny's sitting there with a confused look, wondering why her uncles' love would to exercise so much, were the fitness freaks? With them still staring at each other, Franny decides to break it apart before things get not child-friendly.

"Uncle Ian, read the other questions" she pleads with a cough, trying to divert their attention towards the long-forgotten magazine.

"Ah yes," Ian mumbles. "What's a secret you haven't told the other person yet?"

Immediately Mickey leans towards Ian and whispers something incoherent, for Franny to hear, to Ian's ear, resulting in Ian's eyes going wide and his cheeks and ears slowly turning the same shade as his hair.

Ian stands up quickly.

"Uhh…F-Franny, can we do this later, please? I just remembered Uncle Mickey and I need to go…exercise, like right now." Ian says abruptly, holding Mickey's hand in his, walking towards the stairs.

"No!" she yells out. "Please Uncle Ian, you guys told me you'd do it, you can exercise later if you want, please" she whines, tugging on both of their t-shirts.

Both Ian and Mickey look towards her bright eyes and the cute little pout that she's wearing.

"I guess our exercise can wait, right Ian?"

"Yeah, it can wait.", looking down at Franny, giving her a smile and ruffling her hair.

"Yay!"

They all go back to sit down at the couch, resuming the unfinished quiz. Quickly, Franny remembers something to tell her uncles.

"Oh yeah and one more thing Uncle Mickey, can you please do this seriously 'cause I really wanna see if you are really soulmates."

"Yeah, Mick, I'm with Franny on this one"

"Fine, sure thing kid" Mickey says, then looks towards Ian "Not even a little bit of teasing, though", with a pout on his face.

"Nope" Ian says with a pop, "not even a little"

They answer all the questions again, this time doing it properly. Finally, they reach the near end of the quiz.

"Did you say I love you to each other yet? If so, who said it first?" Ian says as he reads the last question.

"Oooh, I wanna know this one" Franny says cheerfully.

"Well yes, we already did say I love you to each other, and uh I'm actually not sure who said it first, to be honest." Ian says, then looking at Mickey – who's slowly turning red.

"What, you have something to say, Mick?" Ian prompts.

"I uhh… I actually said it first, don't know if you know but uh it was when you were…sick. I was calling you, trying to see where you were, but you didn't pick up, so it went to voicemail, and that's when I said I love, for the first time and you didn't hear it." Mickey said, looking at the interesting pattern on the pillow instead of Ian's face.

Franny was watching the whole thing, she saw Mickey's flush, that was spreading across his face to his ears, and Ian's eyes going wide, mouth opening then closing, trying to form a sentence.

"You" a pause. "You said you loved me then, how'd you know?"

With that Mickey finally turns his head to Ian, however his eyes not meeting Ian's.

"I don't know, I just knew I loved you, man" Mickey lets out with a sigh.

Ian instantly hugs him. "I love you, mickey" he whispers so faintly that only mickey hears it.

Franny might not understand the context behind it, but she understands the feeling, the warmth, the love, it's the same feeling she gets when her mom kisses her before going to bed, the same feeling she feels when sandy hugs her.

She also doesn't want to be left out, so she goes and hugs her uncles as well, earning a chuckle from both of them.

After all the sappiness – as mickey called it, they check the results of the sweet but awfully long quiz.

"That's bullshit" Mickey yells in frustration. "Not soulmates. Not soulmates, they better be fuckin' messing with us. Are you sure you did it right, Ian?" he says, pacing up and down the living room.

"Mickey, language" Ian retorts "And calm down it's a stupid, girly, pre-teen quiz, it doesn't even mean anything."

"Yeah, but how could they say that, what the f- hell do they know?"

Mickey then feels a tug at his t-shirt, then sees Franny looking at him with glassy eyes.

"I'm sorry Uncle Mickey, I didn't know it would end like this" Franny says with tears running down the side of her cheeks and words coming out rushed.'

"Hey, no, no, it wasn't your fault Franny, it was the stupid dumb magazine" Mickey says, trying to reassure her.

"Really? But I made you guys take the test."

"It doesn't matter what the test says, Fran, all that matters is that we love each other. And it definitely isn't your fault okay?" Ian says kneeling down, wrapping a hand around her back, comforting her.

"Okay" she says quietly.

"C'mon, let's go get some ice cream."

"Okay" her frown quickly turning into a bright smile.

As they head inside the house, with ice cream in their hands, Franny melts her uncles' heart by just saying one sentence.

"You're soulmates to me, Uncle Mickey" she says in between licking the sprinkles off her ice cream, then hugs them both and runs off to her room, leaving the two men shock.

"We're soulmates, Ian" Mickey croaks out, after minutes of just standing there, the ice cream dripping down on his hands.

"Huh, we are." He says with a laugh.

Omg u still interested in asks about wolships? This is the first time I'll actually share my hc with someone lol but my fave main ship with my wol is with thancred!! If u ever played 12 and u know fran and balthier it's pretty much how they started I like to image! I adore the idea of them always leaning into each other during and after missions but not in a romantically way (mostly because I have this hc that thancred is the strongest scion) so in my head they always feel obligated to take care of them, even the adults. So this comes to the point where I think my wol (viera btw, but u probably guessed by me mentioning fran lol) would only really let her guard down with him because as stubborn as thancred was before shb, he's always so secretive and kept to himself and that's pretty much how I think they would bond. So they aren't really all over each other but they can always be seen together and theres somewhere before 3.0 they had like an silent agreement that this couldn't happen because I love forbidden love lmao and before shb I like to imagine the kissed like once, few days after 3.5 end when the wol finally had some time to take in everything that happened in heavensward, something like a truce to their agreement but that just made things a bit softer for both of them. After that, they become a little closer but it's only in shb when she thinks she actually lost him before going to the first + him not being able to protect her from the corruption that he goes "well fuck this if I'm going to be scared of losing u even if we are not together lets at least make it so we can kiss while being scared" and it actually works... They get together somewhere in the end of shb I like to think, and it's so well timed with thancred's and ryne's relationship development because they always talk about it with each other since that's exactly how my wol see the twins too, and that goes all the way to the present too! They are my fave tank protective couple and I love them very much. Thank u for hearing me rambling lol I would adore to hear more abt ur boy and estinien or even graha!!

About Thancred... since we saved him from the Praetorium, I always thought about this pairing because he is also the first Scion who openly expresses his worry for the Warrior of Light -right after Ifrit fight- so I really enjoyed reading about their relationship and I am glad you send this ask. From what you write to me their relationship is complicated and angsty but also very sweet and they have their happy ending after suffering so much I LOVE it. It also makes it so painful for poor Thancred since he would be at her side during your wol's corruption.

Also, I would like to see your Warrior of Light if you would be willing to send a picture of her via asks. I am curious about her after you told me that much. And you said tank protective couple is she mains a tank job like Thancred?
