To shed more light on zalgo and his role in my au,

and his piece in "All Entwined in One Web" (aka the post previous to this, the slenderman getting comforted one) because as much as i love many my posts heavily lean on my au and hc, i dont really... share much on my au... mostly because im not at all confident in my writing ability and i feel i cant do my brain ideas justice obligatory, i feel that out of all the creepypastas in my au/hc brain, zalgo has changed the most like sure hes still this very powerful entity, but hes so.. different than the main interpretation.. with that being said, welcome back to admins random rambles of their unnamed au that they hardly make real content for outside of vaguing lore stuff in x reader post i blame fran bow for giving me this idea for zalgo (GLARES at mabuka)

NOTE: this was originally written like. sometime in the middle of 2023 but i never posted it anyway-- clearing out my drafts and i figured ill post this up even though its not my usual content

okay so how do i even explain. so zalgo is both a place and person. i think the best way to describe him is if you cross mother mabuka (fran bow) and scp 354 along with the original zalgo meme

so starting off with the basic stuff, zalgo is seen as the beginning and end to everything in the au and is solely responsible for monsters and demons existing. he still corrupts stuff (ie the comics and stuff, zalgo he comes or whatever it was, i mightve gotten that backwards its been a hot minute)

dipping into the "zalgo is a piece of nature" but instead of being a full neutral creature/anomaly thats trying to exist, zalgo is kinda... evil.

as mentioned above, zalgo is responsible for the existence of demons and the like, literally creating them and sending them all out to run rampant. basically any non human character exists because of him with only a few exceptions (really anyone not directly corrupted and twisted by zalgos influence, think characters like laughing jack or jane! this includes proxies! technically eyeless jack counts but in my lore ej is possessed by a demon/cursed by one that was created by zalgo so! yeah! tbf ej wasnt meant to be possessed he just got dragged into it )

anyways

i mentioned somewhere that zalgo doesnt have a fully tangible body. this is true but also. not. he can MAKE himself a body if he wanted, but really he doesnt bother. why should he? hes already planting chaos through his creations!

my thoughts are so jumbled im so sorry SOBS

really zalgo is there to cause issues and make life harder for humans because he thinks its funny + blah blah a bored god thats naturally evil can come out as something ugly and dangerous

he may also be responsible for why some people have the means to become ghosts and linger but thats a huge maybe that i may scrap

My take on the human souls for my au concept! - Sorry Old Lady❤️

⭐️Notes under cut⭐️

Sorry Old Lady is a toriel centric au idea where she essentially takes Frisk’s place as the protagonist focus. Gaster shenanigans just before start of game ‘cause’ Toriel to see the ghosts of the human souls - at first just Telly (Patience) and Chara who’s with Frisk when she meets them - which distresses her enough to sway her to leave the ruins before Frisk does, seek the other ghosts and find an alternative before Asgore kills Frisk, all while trying to recall the shadow of Gaster that seemed to cause this change.

Through sans’s encouragement she befriends all of main cast on the journey, but gets in conflict about whether taking frisk’s soul is a necessary evil to free everyone, and they struggle to comprehend what exactly Toriel is seeing/ experiencing.

Tldr; Gaster supposedly pulled some crazy coding business akin to Monika ddlc to will and even re-traumatise Toriel into becoming the main character for reasons unclear.

⭐️ i made this in ibis paint with the mspaint^1 brush by mepy._. , a massive help and felt really nice to use^^^ . I did the pixel art separately on pixel art maker website

⭐️ as pictured, Toriel finds the armours of the souls on her journey and carries them around everywhere. The tail and goat eyes are not au specific i just like drawing her that way. Also her ref drawing is actual size compared to the ghosts.

⭐️ Toriel can only see the ghosts not hear them. It keeps unclear if she’s just imagining what they would be doing vs if the ghosts are actually doing it. She spots them around whatever location their armours and weapons were scattered, and start following one by one.

⭐️ all the souls are gender neutral/ non-binary as per the utdr trend - i tried to get the androgyny best I could in the designs.

⭐️ the humans are wizards in this universe with basic magic depending on the soul type

⭐️ not yet finalised but the timeline between souls is about 5-10 years each fall, the time period for the humans/ wizards is uchronistic

⭐️ my lore reason for only kids falling is that the big drop to the underground is behind a small cave crevice that only children can easily fit through

⭐️ Frisk is selective mute and uses sign language. On cell calls they use a text to speech system.

⭐️ monsters are a metaphor for the disabled (et al) in my take, which may come up a lot later

I realize now I forgot to give some updates about other characters of my Strayed! AU…

Like firstly (what I think is probably most important): Moon isn’t there for a good amount of the AU

After what went on with New Moon/Nexus, I didn’t really want to have New Moon (despite how much I liked them at the start), but I also wanted to have OG Moon (because of how silly they kinda are), but I didn’t want to go the Nexus route to get OG Moon back…

So I kinda just put Moon in a coma? So yeah in my AU once Moon & KC separate, Moon’s just in a coma from then until basically a year later, as Moon’s body basically shut down, and Monty’s trying to help, but things keep being thrown at him so he can’t do much to help, and eventually they just decide to make him a new body, transfer his code there, and it worked eventually! Like… probably 3 days later XD (which is then why he has his hunger)

Second thing: There is no Stitchwraith (since Stitchwraiths were apparently rare, there was like only 13? And I didn’t wanna have Bloodmoon secretly working for both Brainsick and Stitchwraith somehow at the same time

Third thing: There’s probably no Puppet… cus I don’t really want canon puppet in my AU, nor can I make a puppet design, and plus she’s rare anyways :P

Fourth thing: I made a new design for Earth!!

Since the last design I wasn’t sure if it was her first-design or new-design (it’s now her first), I kinda was won over by the Chubby Earth side of the fandom, so I made this!

(she still has a bow it’s just holding her ponytail together)

But yeah this is like… her 3rd design (the new body after figuring out the Creator’s a jerk) (she probably asks Monty to help with it - since I’m pretty sure they’d already be dating at this point - and it’s not like she could ask Solar, who doesn’t exist here, or Moon, who is in a coma and she doesn’t know well yet)

But yeah her second body (made by the Creator) probably is thinner like the canon one (cus that’s probably what the Creator wanted, but she herself didn’t exactly want that but was like ‘oh well, Father knows best :3’)

Fourthly: Frank (Forkface) - still needs a new name btw - may actually exist in my AU, since Frank (canon) found out there was a small amount of Negativity Embodiments like himself, so imma still have one :3 I may also make Francis & Fran too!! (im not sure what to do for them, but Francis may embody a Dog Plushie, idk for Fran yet [I had this idea that she just casually found a real Chameleon body and was like ‘oh well nobody’s using this’ and embodied it, a bit of her energy leaking out of parts that would’ve been like… decayed? Idk? But I didn’t really wanna draw a dead Chameleon… cus I like chameleons… and I didn’t wanna have to search up a ref for that… so that idea’s currently scrapped for now]) (also if I do make Francis a dog plush, he would squeak a lot, in replacement probably of his sniffles)

Finally (Fifthly): The Creator’s not a brain.

…but idk what he would be instead XD (but the Nice Creator - Sven I think - said a Brain Creator was new/rare, and most were robots - except for him since he was human - but I wanna do something else)

A Prompt that came from a Challenge

(Well, not quite from the challenge of @natedogx15, but it motivated me to post it here)

 This is an AU that involves Indie Horror RPGs (I haven’t played all of those below, but I know the basic plot of most), Winx Club and Steven Universe. The AU of @ask-the-rpg-3 was what gave me the idea.

Besides the dimension of Earth, where us humans live on, there are a lot of different dimensions. Some of them are the Monster Realm, the Paintings Realm, Shadows Realm, Plants Realm, and, most importantly, the Sorcerers Realm.

The Sorcerers come from a Magic Dimension, and they are ruled by the three most powerful sorcerers, who are also immortal. Their society is harsh and cold, where you must obey all the rules if you don’t want to be punished.

These sorcerers, to get more and more powerful, travel from realm to realm to steal their mana/life essence, leaving these dimensions barren and lifeless.

A Sorceress, a long time ago, though, decided to fight for Earth and started a rebellion. Her name was Fran Bow, a sorcerer of the cosmos. Their group name was the Mages of Gaia.

The mages thought against the sorcerers to save the planet and managed to do that… but, there was a cost. The fourth leader needed to be eliminated.

Her three siblings were furious, and, on a last attempt, they cast a curse on most rebels, transforming all of the mages into monsters.

However, these mages left children with dormant magic blood, that only needed a small spark to be activated.

Fran, who protected herself with a powerful enchantment stayed alive and safe.

Years passed, and, for some mysterious reason, 4 descendants, after generations, unlocked their magical potential, and need to be trained by Fran Bow, specially considering the threat of more sorcerers coming back to Earth.

Now that the story is explained, time to talk about the magic system. The magic system is similar to Winx, except that there is no difference between wizards, witches, and fairies. They are all sorcerers here with magic transformations (magic winx, enchantix and so on, but no wings).

The main 4 characters are:

- Sunny, the sorcerer of dreams (Omori): He has the power of manipulating Dream Energy (basically blue lantern powers), reading people’s thoughts and so on.

- Madotsuki, the sorceress of absorption (Yume Nikki): She can touch objects and absorb their abilities (like, touching a candle gives her fire powers. Yes, this ability is inspired on her effects of the game).

- Kris, the NB sorcerer of determination (Deltarune): his magic allows him to create a magical aura that enhances his natural abilities (he can get super-strengh and speed, as an example).

- Ib, the sorceress of plants (Ib): she can manipulate and create plans (but Fran is teaching her how to create portals between realms).

 The other characters are not quite their own selves, they are mostly Steven Universe Counterparts:

Fran Bow: Rose Quartz.

Mr. Midnight: Lion.

Ryo (Crowscare), sorcerer of light: Peridot.

Embry (It’s not me, it’s my basement), NB sorcerer of Crystals: Lapis (Being trapped in a mirror kept them as a child).

Amanda (Amanda the Adventurer), sorceress of shape: Bismuth. (Being Trapped on Mr Midnight kept her from aging too).

Aya (Mad Father), sorceress of death: Jasper.

Misfortune (Little Misfortune), sorceress of Dimensions: Pink Diamond.

Venna (Crowscare): White Diamond.

Rune (Crowscare): Blue Diamond.

Alfred (Mad Father): Yellow Diamond.

 The rest, I haven’t decided, but, the one writing it can come up with it.

Remembering that, in this universe: Omori good route events would have happened, Ib’s events wouldn’t have happened, Deltarune’s wouldn’t have happened either (and the monsters would live in their own realm), and Yume Nikki’s events, well… they are dreams that happen time and time again, so, they did, but can happen again (except the ending).

Recently I saw Little misfortune. I love the game so much so I needed to draw how I imagine Morgo, also that made me think of my favorite game Fran Bow which is made by the same people. So I drew both! Remor actually just acts like an edgy teenager.

I also started to write a fanfic on AO3 about these four if you are interested.

It wasn’t a big gathering. Then again, Matthew and Jan were not the most outgoing people so it made sense only close friends and family had gathered for the two’s wedding. 

Currently, the festivities were starting to wind down. It was nearly midnight and by the way Matthew was resting his head on Jan’s shoulder, they were going to be heading to their apartment for the night. 

“Ah our little boy is all grown up,” Francis whined as he pushed his empty wine glass away. 

“He’s been grown for awhile,” Arthur laughed. His husband rarely ever got tipsy any more, but when they did, they got emotional. Luckily Arthur had predicted this and thus stopped just as he was starting to feel buzzed. That was a couple hours ago so most of it was out of his system.  

“Wait! Then does that make us old men?”

“Fran, we’ve been “old men” for a few years now.” 

Francis let out a long groan, falling into Arthur’s arms dramatically. “It’s my worst nightmare. My hair, my face, it’s all going. Soon enough you’re going to leave too. Go after some nice young man with smooth skin and silky hair.”

Arthur shook his head. Luckily, his husband could usually hold his liquor so this wasn’t a common occurrence throughout their relationship. His hand came to rest on Francis’s cheek, thumb brushing over a few wrinkles that were forming next to the corner of his eye. “Love, you look as beautiful as the day I married you.”

“Really?”

For a long-time flirt, Francis still became so bashful when it was turned on them. “Do you remember our wedding?” Francis whispered, pressing his forehead against Arthur’s.

“Of course.”

“It was much bigger than this.”

Arthur snorted. “No thanks to you. I would have been more than happy with a small ceremony and get together like this.”

“But you did enjoy our big party. At least after a few drinks. You wouldn’t let me off the dance floor after that.”

Arthur groaned at the memory. His feet were aching the next day and he had only remember parts of it. Though the parts he remembered were nice. The way Francis’s neatly kept hair fell out of its bow by the tenth song. How they kept discarding more and more layers until they were left in half buttoned up dress shirts. The clumsy way their feet tangled with each other as Arthur tried to drunkenly lead them. The redness of Francis’s face and the way he looked at him with so much love, Arthur had swore he was going to burst.  

“Mmm,” Arthur hummed, “It was the best day of my life.”

“That’s what they say. But it was mine too.”

Arthur pulled away and rose from the table. “Care for a dance?” He asked, offering a hand to Francis.

Francis beamed. “I’d love to!”

🌼Alright, heeeere we go. After much deliberation and tons of design doodles, I have scrapped this is a good representation of what my multiverse version of HorrorFell is all about. As I said before this is going to be more Eldritch and supernatural horror. I did say before that the other one focused more on the psychology of it but I have to argue now that this is really that AU and I will explain that briefly like I have in the past. This is a lot to unpack to stick with me! 

What you see above is Red’s occult/ ceremonial outfit he does not wear this huge imposing headdress all the time. First, it is probably super heavy and second, it’s only worn by the cult members, which no one knows what monsters are actually initiated. I don’t know if you can tell or not (sorry for the quick sketches) but that headdress is a Gaster Blaster skull. I had a lot of fun drawing this idea since I love all that kind of occult and secret society stuff. I will not be ashamed to admit that I have been super inspired by four main materials for Horrorfell. They are Bloodbourne, Fran Bow, The Order, and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. All great shows and games that are definitely worth a play/watch if you love this kind of stuff. Onto the story (buckle up cause the angst train is pulling into the station). 

Horrorfell takes place after a pacifist run by Frisk. The story briefly goes as follows. Frisk ends up in the Underworld (Underground) and befriends the monsters and wants to help them. She never dies once either. It is basically a way watered down version of WTU in essence. I will point out that Red is still a killer and that becomes worse after Frisk’s absence ( I will explain this in a bit). Once reaching the end of her journey the monsters refuse to let her be that final soul. They would rather wait and figure out something else. Frisk promises to return to them and set them free. She is like 18-19 by the way. Asriel sacrifices himself to that end to see her leave through the barrier only the humans capture the poor girl after she leaves. They conclude that she is not mentally stable due to her insistence that monsters are real and throw her into an asylum to be “treated”. We all know what that means. 

Nearly 5+ years later and she manages to escape finding herself once again in the Underworld only it is far different from what she remembers. At this point, she is questioning whether anything is real or not. After being “treated” for so long she doesn’t quite know which reality is real. As Red (aka Saw) points out: “Ya really don’t know believe what happened do ya?” 

Frisk is the one person that gets him to turn a new leaf when it comes to his numb feelings in the beginning. It’s harder to go against what was originally natural and he struggles with overcoming his base instinct. That guilt hits him heavy now that he feels even guiltier because he didn’t care that he’s even forgotten the victims. That’s always going to haunt him. He only cares about two people in their world and that is his brother Eldritch and Frisk so everyone else is on his kill list so to speak. I would think that he would use others as a means to an end. If I keep him yandere like Blade, though not as insane, then he would do anything to see her again including becoming a ruthless killer again to do it. Get the souls, break the barrier, find the girl. Essentially he’s more of a calculating yandere in this case. So rather than being socially acceptable to kill humans, his dilemma in beating his nature with his yandere extremes and how he’s got to hold himself back. Frisk is just the person to help him recognize that he’s gotta broaden his view and that comes with accepting his flawed nature. It’s that whole killing makes me feel good/ numb idea. When accepting your flaws you end up going through lots of denial initially, being yandere, he’s going to see his view as right, even justified.

Frisk’s Mental Demons:

  The psychological toll on Frisk is great as she has been told constantly that she made up her time in the Underworld in order to shut herself away into a fantasy world. A world where she had a family... where she is loved and wanted. This happens a lot like the “Doctors” continuously try to refute her experiences or sensations medically.  Every time she goes to sleep in the Underworld she ends up back at the Asylum tied down kicking and screaming and she only wakes up again when she is sedated. Rinse and repeat. The question is... is it real? Or rather which is real. The doctors go on to state that her dark state of mind twisted her original concept behind her “family” making them this eldritch styled horror. He also goes onto explain that the reason she is so drawn and close to Red is that it is her “flirting with death”. That she is accepting that outcome because if she continues to resist treatment she will die and the moment she trusts him in her “fantasy” that will be the end. (on a side note what a jerk). Anyway, these kinds of situations happen a lot and even sometimes cross over through auditory and visual hallucinations, at least that is what the doctor says they are. I will give an example of this. 

Red zaps her with his old joy buzzer for old time sake. Not to freak her out or anything but after that encounter and she is safe with the Bros. She falls asleep and she ends up back at the asylum, whether it is a nightmare or not. She ends up crying over how real her "hallucination" feels and she talks about the buzzer. The doctors explain to her that it was an external stimulus from her shock therapy. In other words, it’s all in her head. Red tries to comfort her when this happens trying to get her to believe that he is real but he doesn’t push that on her considering how broken he sees she is. A lot of times she ends up in tears wrapped in his arms and he just holds her in a comforting way. My heart. 

The Occult/World:

The cult as I keep referring to it as is a group of powerful monsters. I am not going to say too much about them as I don’t want to ruin certain things. However, they believe humans to be their salvation while the rest of the monsters believe that they are the angels of death. They will kill humans on sight, of course, they want to live in denial of their horrible deeds. This is where the idea of hear no evil, see no evil and speak no evil comes in. Each monster falls into one of these camps even going so far as to mutilate themselves to do it. EVERYONE HAS GONE NUTS. Unlike the cult that wishes to break the barrier, the rest want to stay hidden from the beasts above. Red and Eldritch are under see no evil hence the blindfolds. Even though Red is a part of the cult however he has to play the part, the rest of them do as well. The question is which 7 monsters are a part of it? 

There is no monarchy in this since it was dissolved. It is rumored that the cult have extraordinary abilities that far surpass that of regular Boss monsters. They are considered “consorting with evils beyond their control”. I will say that Reds faith in the order is quite strong... only time will tell if their intentions are what has been advertised. The cult believes that humans are the key to their salvation and that they will summon a god to rule both the surface and the underworld. Basically bringing hell to earth. In keeping with the eldritch horror vibe. I have that “god” being an unholy amalgamation of Asriel, God of Hyper death, Chara, and Gaster not to mention that the rest of the cult can become unholy eldritch abominations as well. Reds got the Gaster blaster beast vibe with him but he also has a million eyes when his sockets go dark. A whole bunch of disturbing eyes fill his skull. (If you have ever watched Soul Eater it’s very Asura like)

Each member is associated with a major arcana as well. In Reds case, it is being a seer which in essence is seeing the truth or judgment. That is all I am going to say about them for now. Even Eldritch and Frisk don’t know that Red is in the cult by the way. I am still working on his full body design as everything I have done I am not all that satisfied with. His headshot though will stay the same I am really happy with those. I am thinking of leaning more Bloodbourne. If you have any suggestions feel free to drop them in the comments!
