The Convalescent Garden was one of the best places on Rhodes Island for seeing the sun. The massive skylights and windows, with shutters designed for all-day sunlight for the plants growing there, also meant that there were many hidden books and crannies bathed with golden light, practically begging for an operator to curl up and enjoy a quick nap.

Which is exactly why Perfumer put a wicker chaise lounge there.

Today, as she made her rounds, it was occupied by Dr. Sussurro, gently snoring, with a book open in her lap. On one side of her, Shamare was curled up, still clutching Morte tightly, and Vermeil was draped over the arm of the lounge awkwardly. On the other, Suzuran's ears were barely visible over her mass of tails.

Perfumer smiled at the sight, and picked up the tea tray sitting in front of them, carrying it back to her office to be washed.

In the spirit of that one Foxpile request: Wolfpile? Red finally getting the tail she deserves. And hopefully everyone else enjoying themselves too.

"I will say, Lena, when you suggested this I was a little skeptical. But this has been wonderful!"

Provence leaned against the back of the couch, smiling gently. Next to her, the Reaper in Red was intently combing the large purple tail that was strewn across her lap.

"I'm glad you're enjoying yourself." Perfumer stood up from her armchair. "Would either of you like more tea? Another scone?"

"No, I think I'm good. Red?"

Red shook her head without looking up from where her hands were sunk deep in purple fur.

Provence laughed. "Another hit, perhaps?" She offered the pipe she held loosely in her hand. Red shook her head again.

"Ah, well, more for me." Provence took a deep inhale from the pipe, blowing out a thin cloud of smoke that wound its way slowly towards the ceiling.

BASIC INFORMATION

Full Name: Mariale Foxpill

Age: 35 [AT DEATH]

Status: Deceased

Role: The comedic relief of the group and a close friend of Mars.

Callsign: Patches (She knew how to sew and was fond of crafts)

APPEARANCE

Mariale was a short, stout woman with very doll-like features and long red hair she kept neatly braided so it would not interfere with her vision when fighting. Her eyes were grey and almost always had a mischievous look to them. She loved colorful things and all things crafts so her clothing outside of uniform was a bit eccentric.

PERSONALITY

Silly and light-hearted, Mariale always tried to bring humor to the group. She loved harmless pranks but hated ‘pranks’ like Jako’s which actually stood a chance of harming others. Creative thinking helped her to come up with unique plans no one else would have thought of and her familiarity with trial and error meant that Mariale was exceptionally good at pushing beyond failure. She was not, however, very good at taking on a leadership role and had no commanding presence whatsoever. Her precision and love of detail in crafts also showcased itself in her approach to life, always picking up on little things that others might have missed.

HISTORY

Not much is known about Mariale’s history, just that her family was incredibly hopeful that the Empire would fix everything they felt was wrong with the Republic back in the day and that she was raised by her grandparents on a small farming planet. She died within the year between Varawn defecting and the start of the campaign. Varawn does not know she is dead.
