My absolute favorite gt artist @friendlyfoxpal 's characters Chrome and Poppy are just so absolutely delightful, I needed to draw them. I have more plans for some crossover doodles but I've never drawn them before (a crime) and I needed to do some practice first.

I've been having kind of a rough week and needed to pull myself out of my funk. Maybe these cuties have helped?

VR is wild because one night you’ll be the coveted sweet, silent-type bachelor contestant in a haywire dating game at fancy beach house while people are constantly walking off into the ocean never to be seen again and there’s a wild man ominously stalking you in the cliffs...and the next night, you’re a cute artsy skeleton kid who just got adopted ig by an ambiguous but sweet couple who are gonna do a virtual wedding thing for their love and you’ve been told you get to be the flower...kid. (I’m very excited about that.) And that was just 2 of the adventures I’ve had. You had to be there, really.

You meet all kinds of people. It’s so fun, but is truly a wild land. You never get the same experience twice. Best $300 I’ve ever spent in my life.

So I asked @friendlyfoxpal on what/who to draw, and the suggestion was made to draw Chrome & Poppy. In the same vein, we both winded up drawing the same topic independently: Poppy riding in Chrome's fur collar. It's interesting to see the two interpretations back-to-back (of course with Foxpal's being naturally in-character), where you can check out her version at: https://www.deviantart.com/friendlyfoxpal/art/Poppy-in-fluff-826235243 I really wanted to convey the sense of softness in this one, and his fur collar being akin to laying in clouds. And I'm too addicted to the strange, extreme, and looming angles & perspectives. (The THOOM’s are Chrome's footsteps just in case it's not all that clear.) Chrome & Poppy ~ @friendlyfoxpal

Carefully, he put his hand on the floor under his blankets and soft things to draw the ice back in his hands. Both to further calm himself just in case, and also so the ice wouldn't drip on his foxpal. It was already cold enough for them, he imagined.
