♡ prompt: a baby appears into your timeline to reveal an unexpected surprise.
♡ pairing: Bart Allen (Impulse) x fem reader
♡ note: not checked for grammar or spelling mistakes / for OBVIOUS reasons, it’s altered when it comes to the canon universe because we all know legitimate canon wouldn’t work for this....pain. also!! please if any of you are interested in more characters with prompt, let me know!!
both you and Bart weren’t together. not in the slightest. at the very least, both of you had flirted with each other, PLAYFULLY and all things considered, Bart liked to talk to girls when he had the chance. he was very much like Wally in that sense.
since you weren’t exactly the type to try to flirt with every person with a pulse like Bart did, you really only playfully ‘flirted’ with Jaime, Gar, and sometimes Robin when you were feeling extra confident.
the lair was extra dead tonight with only you, Bart, and Gar sitting down and watching whatever was on TV. you had you legs kicked up on Gar as Bart was reaching over to your lap to grab the popcorn that you were holding.
“the lair being this dead seems unnaturally calm,” you told the two boys. they nodded in agreement but before you could even take another breathe, all of your eyes were averted to the large blue orb that was suddenly in the room. Bart grabbed his gear from behind the couch and Gar immediately transformed. you grabbed the pocket knife from your pocket and held it in a very similar Michael Meyers pose, “what the hell is happening,” you heard Gar whisper.
as all of you were ready to attack, all of you saw a baby, no older than ten months pop out. your instincts immediately jumped to grab the infant before it fell on the ground. you looked to the boys with wide eyes before staring back down to the baby, “oh, hi baby,” you whispered as it let out a cry.
“that’s a baby!” Gar screamed, not knowing what to do. both you and Bart looked at him like he was an idiot, “of course it is! what else would it be?” you retorted, not in the mood to hear his slight stupidity while a child was wailing.
you grabbed the blanket you were using a while ago and wrapped it around her like your sister had taught you. having a niece you guessed at its perks as the baby immediately calmed down, “call someone!” you whispered to the two, “Nightwing, Megan, fucking hell, even the Bat if you can!”
both Gar and Bart ran to the nearest COMM link and rang for anyone in the Justice League or your leaders. as Gar was standing behind you, admiring the tiny baby, he looked at her before looking at you and Bart, “huh, she kinda looks like if she was some kind of combination of the two of you,” Gar said off-handedly.
you and Bart looked at each other before laughing hysterically. a kid? with Bart no less? that sounded like some kind of joke if you’ve ever heard one. Bart sat down next to you and peeked at the hair, “he does have that Allen red hair though,” you stared at him before smacking the back of his head.
it didn’t take long before Nightwing, Robin, and Batman ran into the lair. whatever distress signal Gar or Bart let out must’ve worked because you had never saw any of the three get here as fast as they just did. you looked to Nightwing and Batman while showing them the sleeping baby.
“the three of us were just watching a movie when a blue orb came literally out of nowhere and the baby popped out. we swear we didn’t do ANYTHING,” you explained through nervousness. Batman hummed, seeing how calm the baby was, “kinda looks like the two of you,” Nightwing said out of curiosity.
“THAT’S WHAT I SAID!” Gar yelled, “it has her hair but Bart’s hair color.” you sighed out of annoyance as Nightwing agreed. Batman on the other hand looked at you and back to Bart who was eerily quiet for someone who talked A LOT.
he gave Dick a look as if the two of communicating telepathically. on instant, Dick looked to the three of you, “what did we say about leaving stray cups around,” Nightwing told the three of you. you sighed, “sorry, we didn’t have time to pick up,” you said grabbing your pink Solo cup and tossing it in the trash.
“we’ll see what we can do to get the child back where it belongs,” Batman said giving you a look, “the baby hasn’t given you any trouble, right? come with me and bring the child. we can run a DNA sample and see if he has any connections to any of the members whether it’s in the league or among the team,” he asked.
discreetly, Tim had gotten a cotton swab and took the spit from the residue on the solo cup and put it in his small pocket before following all of you. you felt the baby stir in your arms and as she opened her eyes, you smiled down at it. you had no idea where these maternal instincts came from but oddly enough, you had this mother bear protectiveness over her.
you waited for something that had to be brought by Nightwing to the lair and during that time, you played with the baby, who Bart decided to call Autumn for the time being. Nightwing came back a bit later and gave whatever he brought to Nightwing as he watched you and Bart play with the girl.
while the two of you wanted to hand the baby over to Gar, Megan, Zatanna, hell even Robin, she immediately refused and let out a blaring cry whenever you or Bart let her go. everyone immediately handed her back to you or Bart as soon as she started crying and almost as quickly as she started crying, she stopped when you or Bart held her.
“do you think I can go feed her? she’s probably hungry,” you told Nightwing. he nodded as you got up with the baby and grabbed her by the arms, holding them high in the air so she could use her legs to walk without falling, “she seems like a great mom,” Nightwing said.
without a thought or even a second heart beat, Bart nodded in agreement as he watched you walk out. Bart wanted to follow you but didn’t want to seem like he was overwhelming you so he stayed with the Bats and Gar.
not even realizing, he had fallen asleep against the wall as DNA results pinged up on Tim’s screen. the baby had the closest match to your DNA and using the spit from the previous DNA testing Bart had done on Bart, both of your photos showed up as the parents. Tim got Dick’s and Bruce’s attention without trying to make a scene.
Dick laughed because of course the two of you were the parents. no wonder Autumn didn’t want anyone to hold her except for the two of you. as Dick looked down to look at Bart, he saw that he had finally woken up. Tim signaled that he was in the kitchen, trying to make Autumn laugh.
“ironic how that works out,” Gar said. Nightwing and Batman agreed as he told Nightwing to be the one to break the news to the two of you. Gar wanted to hear what you both said when he told you and Tim tagged along as a result.
as they all entered the kitchen, they heard ‘Killer Queen’ by Queen playing from your phone as you and Bart were playing with Autumn. “hey, did the results come back? I bet 50 bucks it was Megan’s and Connor’s!” you said.
Nightwing handed you the papers in a manila folder. you couldn’t help but laugh at how eerily reminiscent this was to a Maury TV show segment. you opened the folder to see your team photo right along Barts as the arrows pointed to the Autumn.
out of sheer shock, you dropped the folder on the floor as you felt like the wind was knocked out of you. Bart looked at the ground to see what the results were but he, unlike you, laughed. you had given Nightwing the baby to hold before grabbing the folder.
“congrats?” Gar said awkwardly, “you’re parents!”
before you could respond to his witty comments, you saw the same blue orb enter the lair again. you stared at the orb as two people walked out, arguing with each other at the top of their lungs. you grabbed the baby from Nightwing and held it tightly against your chest as Bart went into defense mode and jumped in front of the two of you.
“i think it’s the two of you from the future,” Robin said as eerily similar version of the two of you walked into view. future you immediately sighed in relief as she saw you holding the baby, “so she did get sent to the past,” future you said.
you looked yourself, “so, I’m assuming bird boy here did his little magic and figured out both of you were the parents?” you said. you nodded as older Bart chuckled and stood next to his younger self, “how did we get together?” he asked himself.
“what’s the date?” he asked. Nightwing gave him the date and Bart laughed, “you’ll see in a few weeks actually. word of advice, don’t piss her off while she’s pregnant. I learned this the hard way,” Bart warned. older you smiled at you as you stood next to Bart, “we gotta go back to our timeline. the twins are killing me and she’s getting restless,” you said.
“TWINS?” all of you screamed at the sudden confession. older you smacked yourself as Bart warned you about spoilers, “twins....” you murmured to yourself as your older versions walked back into the orb and waved all of you off.
Nightwing had told Gar and Tim to leave the two of you alone so you could process what you had just found out. you looked too Bart who was scratching the back of his head, “we have kids together, huh?” you told Bart, “three kids at that,” he replied.
you gave Bart a smile, “whenever you’re done flirting with every girl on the planet, you know where you can find me,” you told him, giving Bart a wink before walking back into the kitchen, “no fair! you flirt with Jaime all the time!” he retorted as he walked into the kitchen.

Superman #84 (December 1993)
Superman takes a short Paris vacation! Like, one day short. What's the worst that could happen?
Tumblr media
Oh, man.
So, for the past few issues, we've been hearing about children being abducted in Metropolis. Now we see that they're being kept inside a giant toy house by some creepy bald man in Quasimodo clothes who seems to be obsessed with toys -- a "Man of Toys," if you will. Side note: no wonder the children haven't been found... all the articles about them are just gibberish! (See clip below.)
Tumblr media
The kidnapper thinks that these kids' parents don't deserve them, and that they're much better off here, in an underground hideout with a man who threatens to starve them if they don't play with him. (And I do mean literally play, with action figures and stuff.) Meanwhile, as these children cry for help, Superman is having the time of his life. While helping move a stranded ship with some huge-ass chains, Superman spots a sunken galleon with a treasure chest inside and fantasizes about keeping the booty...
Tumblr media
...before turning it over to the authorities anyway, the big boy scout. Then, he wakes up Lois at 6 AM and tells her they should go to Paris right now, which usually means your significant other is having a mental breakdown, but in this case they can actually do it. And so, after deciding that he deserves to use his powers for fun every once in a while, Superman and Lois drop everything and fly to France with super-speed for the rest of the day/issue.
Anyway: back to the child abduction! Cat Grant and her son Adam attend a Halloween party at Adam's school, but there's a disturbed weirdo in a hideous costume lurking among the crowd. Yes, I'm talking about Jimmy Olsen in his Turtle Boy suit.
Tumblr media
Shortly after that, a guy in a dinosaur costume (see, all the creeps are dressed as reptiles) lures Adam out of the party with the promise of "superb video games." What child could resist that? Of course, that turns out to be the kidnapper and Adam ends up in his hideout along with the rest of the missing children and, worst of all, not a single "Lextendo" console.
The kidnapper gets angry at Adam when he refers to the toys at the hideout as "old-fashioned junk" (he was REALLY looking forward to those video games), and even angrier when Adam tries to free the other kids. Adam is brave and puts up a good fight, but...
Tumblr media
And those were Adam Morgan's final words. "Uh-oh."
Next, we have a pretty harrowing scene of Detective Turpin letting Cat know Adam’s body was found, and Jimmy and Perry White taking her to the morgue to identify the body (most people probably wouldn't bring their former boss to something like that, but Perry sadly knows more than most about losing a kid). As for Lois and Clark, they were gone so long that the Daily Planet had time to print a headline about the murders. The issue ends when the lovebirds walk into the office smiling like two people who just spent the night fooling around in Paris... only to feel like jackasses when they find out what happened.
Tumblr media
To be continued!
Character-Watch:
And that's it for little Adam Morgan who, unlike the also tragically diseased Jerry White, didn't even get any post-death appearances. Adam went from a little kid scared of Superman, to a huge brat, to a character who was approaching likeability as of last week. That's why I hate it when DC kills off young characters like Adam or Liam Harper: in long-form storytelling, children represent potential. Look at how much Wally West or Dick Grayson evolved over the years compared to their mentors! Sure, there's a huge probability that Adam would have ended up disappearing from comics for 25 years anyway, but who knows, maybe we'd now know him as Teen Gangbuster or something. GangbusTEEN.
This issue also represents a turning point for the kidnapper, who is never named or seen clearly in the story itself but I don't think I'm shocking anyone by spoiling the fact that he's Toyman (it's in the cover, for one thing). In his last two appearances before this storyline, Toyman helped Superman save some kids from Sleez and looked genuinely sad to learn about Superman's death, so this is a pretty dramatic change for the character. We'll find out why he went from big softy to child killer in Superman #85 (but don't get your hopes up).
Plotline-Watch:
The most disturbing part of the issue, all things considered, is still the part where Toyman climbs into a giant crib and hugs a huge stuffed bunny. Look at serial killer Tommy Pickles here:
Tumblr media
Don Sparrow says:  “Even with the upgrade, Toyman is still just a man in a suit, a common complaint about Superman’s rogues gallery.” Funny you should say that, because I JUST shared an old Wizard interview in our Twitter in which Dan Jurgens talks about how Doomsday came out of his frustration with the fact that most Superman villains are dudes in suits (plus other interesting tidbits from the era, like how it was actually Roger Stern’s idea to bring back Hank Henshaw, so check out that link!).
Don again: “The entire Superman storyline of this issue feels like filler. Diving for buried treasure and soaring off to Paris -- it all feels like wasted time next to the Adam storyline.” I have a theory that the entire ship sequence is there as an excuse to put Superman in those big chains and make that Spawn joke (which I didn’t get until now, since I’ve always read this issue in Spanish).
Tumblr media
Superman says that pulling that big ship was "a little easier than expected" -- that's either another hint that there's something going on with Superman's powers since he came back, or a subtle dig at the state of American ship manufacturing.
Another adorable "window tap" scene for the books, and this is the sexiest one so far. Is it me or has Jurgens started copying more than just Teri Hatcher's hairdo from Lois & Clark? (For anyone who thinks Lois has gotten implants, I refer you to this clip.)
Tumblr media
While in Paris, Lois asks Clark if he's ever wondered what would happen if his rocket had landed in other countries. Don: “Clark’s conversation with Lois sounds like a bunch of concepts for Elseworlds stories. We eventually would see a Russian Superman, and a British Superman, but not yet the French Superman. (Hire us, DC!)” Yep, got my French Superman pitch ready, Jim Lee. Or just let us do Russian Superman again, since Red Son wasn’t even the first time you published that idea.
Tumblr media
Don once more: “Another thing that makes no sense about the ‘new’ Toyman is his resentment of technological toys—when in previous appearances he himself had deadly high-tech toys to vex Superman over the years.” I especially resent his hatred of video game consoles. Incidentally, I wonder what types of games are available for Adam’s beloved Lextendo. Star Lex 64? Mega Man Lex? Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles & Lex?
No one is more upset at Lois and Clark for going AWOL than Whit. NO ONE. He's so furious that his usually grey mustache turned black.
Tumblr media
Patreon-Watch:
As always, shout out to our patrons, Aaron, Murray Qualie, Chris “Ace” Hendrix, britneyspearsatemyshorts, Patrick D. Ryall, Samuel Doran, Bheki Latha, Mark Syp, Ryan Bush and Raphael Fischer! Last month’s exclusive Patreon article was about the recently unearthed sequel to Superman 64 for the PlayStation, featuring Metallo, Parasite, and Lois looking even hotter than in this issue:

And believe it or not, Don Sparrow has even more to say about this issue. Read his section after the jump:
Art-Watch (by @donsparrow):
I should start off my section with a big caveat:  I flat out hate this issue. There were several weird decisions made in the post-Death-and-Return era (most of them along the same lines of making the Superman titles more grim-and-gritty), and this story was one of the worst of them.  My theory is that, despite the praise and record-breaking sales of the Death and Return storyline, the Superman creative team felt pressure to have more extreme storylines, perhaps in response to the wildly successful Image books coming out at the time.  Between this story, and the upcoming “Spilled Blood” storyline, the Super books take a hard—but temporary--turn into more violent and upsetting storytelling—even though these stories are by the same writers as the previous few years. While death has always been a part of comics, and Superman comics was no exception, there is a jarring glibness and unfeeling toward the way violence is handled in these pages that is quite different from the stories that preceded it.  It’s made all the more jarring by the fact that well-established personalities suddenly veer wildly out of character, Toyman chief among them.
We start with the cover, and while it is technically well-drawn (by the familiar team of Jurgens and Breeding) it’s also a very upsetting visual.  I think they should have gone with the pieta type pose with Adam and Superman, OR the scary badass bowie-knife Toyman (who apparently has a Cheshire cat smile now) but not both.  But the cover is a good hint at the tonal dissonance of the comic within.
We open with a splash of the now-extreme 90s looking Toyman, with his serial killer shaved head and spooky cloak, ignoring the pleas of hungry kids he has locked up in a tiny jail cell for days at a time (if that sentence doesn’t ring alarm bells for how wrong this is for a Superman story, I don’t know what will). For much of the issue Toyman’s eyes are obscured by glare on his lenses, further de-humanizing a character who was once one of Superman’s more empathetic bad guys.
Tumblr media
We cut to Superman tugboating a huge tanker with giant chains and it’s a cool visual (one repeated in the Batman V Superman film).  It feels especially out of place to focus on, given how upsetting this issue is otherwise, but throughout the whole comic, Lois is drawn smoking hot, especially on the two page spread on pages 9-10.
Tumblr media
The scenes depicting the actual murder, while still wildly out of place in a Superman comic, are well done, and give a real sense of darkness and menace, which I suppose is the intent.  Perhaps my least favourite visual is the Big Bird stuffie, silently bearing witness to what’s about to occur.
Tumblr media
The edges of the panels on get more slashy and off-kilter (to me, looking very much like the layouts more typically seen in Image comics of the day) and I suppose I appreciate the restraint of how little Dan Jurgens shows of the death of a child, showing only a bloody slash on a black background.  This is still a pretty baroque image for a Superman comic, but certainly less violent than it could be, given what is happening.
Cat Grant’s silent horror is well staged, and powerful in its way.   Lastly, Clark Kent bending in sorrow and regret is a powerful image.
Tumblr media
While this issue is handled marginally better, and more maturely than other comics on the shelf at this time, I still believe it is one of the biggest mistakes of the era.  Giving a long-established character an unceremonious death for shock value is gross on its own, but making it a child definitely crosses a line for me.  Making it worse is that, while the Toyman is a criminal and a killer, he has shown in past issues (a similar kidnapping storyline involving Sleez) that he genuinely cares for the well-being of children.  So for a long-time reader, this also felt like a betrayal of a long-established, fully developed character.   Adding to the ugliness of this is that Adam dies heroically, trying to free the children who have been caged, unfed, for days, but even in that regard, he fails.  The headline at the end of the issue confirms all the children are dead.  Adam’s death did not buy the other kids enough time to get away. It was all for nothing. Had Adam died, but the other children lived, maybe this issue wouldn’t leave quite as bad a taste. [Max: It’s weird because it’s all told in a way where it’s told in a way where it would make sense, narratively and within the story universe, that the other kids survived, but then it’s almost casually revealed that nope, they died too. A scene of one of the kids relaying Adam’s heroism to Cat in a future issue would have gone a long way.]
Superman doesn’t come off well in these pages, either.  It’s honestly the type of story they should just stay away from, because the more you think about all the calamity that is going on around the clock, the less defensible the whole Clark Kent persona becomes. Superman carving out time to romance his fiancĂ©e directly led to the preventable deaths of innocent children—how do you come back from that?
STRAY OBSERVATIONS:
I’m always looking for hints that perhaps Jimmy or Perry know Superman’s secret identity deep down, and Jimmy’s anger at Lois and Clark on their return to the Daily Planet offices would seem to give that theory some credence, as he’s as angry at them as if he knew Clark really were Superman.  Either that, or he’s ticked that it fell to him, and none of them to escort Cat into the morgue. [Max: Has this issue finally converted you to the “Jimmy is terrible” side now, Don?]
I don’t think I’m the only one who disliked the new Toyman—SPOILERS BE HERE: years later, in Action Comics #865, Geoff Johns retconned this whole story, reverting Schott into the criminal who over-relates to kids, rather than the child-killer of this story.  Apparently the infantile Schott, who speaks to “Mother” a la Norman Bates, is a robot so lifelike it fools even Superman, and the “Mother” he’s constantly replying to was the real Winslow Schott trying to recall the malfunctioning robot. [Max: That’s one Geoff Johns retcon I really didn’t mind, even if it felt kind of derivative of his similar “all the Brainiacs are robots made by the real Brainiac” reveal.]

Four-eyes| one shot damirae
A/n: I'm trying to stretch up my writing muscle before continuing other work. Sorry for crappy idea and crappy sketches.
Either her reason is to cut off from social interacting or just the aesthetic, Damian can't help find himself staring at her as she held her book close up, almost buried her face in it.
'What's with the pose?' Damian mumbled as he seen her sit at the living room, while other member interacting, playing even asking question while she simply choose to isolate herself by reading book way to close as if she literally pushing everyone away from her.
Damian as usual goes to the table which situated near the window and put down some document and report for him to finish and compiling. Other than patrolling, working on clerical stuff makes him busy.
Growing up training to kill, social were never be in his dictionary but it seems Raven's effort in social distancing is a bit...annoying as he seen her at the corner of his eyes while studying the statistic of how many times someone try to mess up banking system at the city then he decided to focus on his paper.
-------
He remember when the first time he was sent to teen titans by his father much to his dismay, the member seems to display a tiny of fear as they look at him like seeing a nightmare but for raven, she keep calm.
He thought she's different perhaps because she's the daughter of demons (the worst one), she takes no judgement. But still, he need to be cautious towards her.
Perhaps it is one of her trait where she tries to calm down her team mates if there's inner tension happening. If Starfire unable to calm down the fight between two boys especially when involves with him.
One thing he can't be control is him being hard head and stubborn to the point Raven almost sent him to another dimension. Raven's patience are not infinite and he definitely not going to be overboard with his attitude. Therefore, it train him to tolerate some of member attitude as well as how to cooperate and using other member's ability to achieve the objective of the mission.
He does prepare some plan and blueprint towards the teen titans member for tactical study. Beast boy and Wally simply scoffed as they skim up the document like it was nothing. They prefer to wing it in, as what they told Damian which almost makes him lectured them about preparedness and failure is only for people who don't prepare for any consequences.
However, Raven told him, he should lose up a bit and she does say the others are learning from him being better in tactical as she let him to observe the other member closely when they conducting some mission that involved less threat. She pat on his back, simply said " Don't worry, they got it. They learn it from you. " She smiled.
He felt something after he heard it. What is this flutter feeling in his chest?
His face felt some heat. what is happening?
Trying to avoid Raven from seeing his vulnerable state , he simply let out the sigh and step away from her. At the corner of his eyes he saw her face from pleasant smile to surprised.
Sometimes he cursed his past for not knowing the meaning of emotion. All he learn is vengeance and angry. Only those two. As soon as he move in Gotham, he start to learn respect, family love and worries. The feeling after being praised? He still figure it out what is it.
As time goes by, he eventually try to bond the team, helping them become better. "Dude, even though you'relike some sort of gremlin, I guess you are a good person after all!" Beast boy cracked then turn into a Macaque hugging Damian's face much to his disgust after he improved the shapeshifter's suit.
He sighed.
--------
After two years later, he's begin to be comfortable with the team and almost memorize their attitude and personalities. Somehow, he still haven't figure out Raven. When it comes to accomplish the mission, she glide through the air, launching attack and be as enigma and Raven-y as she can, casting fear towards the enemy. He swore he has seen the method before.
As soon as the mission over, she open the portal pulling the team back into teen titans tower like a worm hole short cut and after that the team disperse at the launching pad, getting rest or shower.
At night the team leisuring in living room but Raven spend her time in her room. But this time, Kori ask him to call her because it is the night of mandatory fun.
Damian keeping his composure, nodded and walked towards her room. He knocked three times, then he heard footstep walk towards the door. " What is it, Damian?"
Damian perhaps jolted a bit as he wonder how could she guess him but quickly discarded as he forget that she, is Raven who can read minds and an empath.
"Its Kori. She said it's Mandatory night." Damian simply state the business. Then he heard silent for a while.
"C-could you tell Kori that I'm not coming?" She spoke behind the door.
"I'll inform to her then." Damian nod and walk away. He inform to Kori about it.
"Ah, too bad. I wanted to show this new movie. Guess it's just us then." She smiled.
"I'm not coming too, Kori. I'm afraid if there's any emergency mission, I don't think she could handle it alone." Damian crossed his arms.
"Raven handle a case during valentine day when she was alone." Said Jackson as came up with casual clothes.
"Which she end up crying after she's back from the mission." Damian sneered at the Aqualad.
"I never knew Damian would care so much for a team mate or...are you planning something else?" Beast boy came up after putting his best clothes and his grin.
"Yes, I'm planning to take over the world, once you're back from outside please do inform me how it went so that I could proceed my plan." Damian said sarcastically.
"Ahah, don't worry, D. We'll buy something for ya." Wally pay on his shoulder.
"Just go." He shoved all three of them as Kori are about to leave the room.
---------
Damian now at leisuring room playing cheesy Viking 3 console mode to passed the time. The tower really quiet as four of them gone out excluding Raven and he really appreciate the moment of silence.
Suddenly he heard a fridge door open. Quickly he put the game on pause, and went to the kitchen.
As he coming to the room he saw the girl with bob hair style with dual color hair consist of navy blue with manogany red ending.
' That's must be Raven.' his heart spoke. As he pulled the chair at the kitchen the table, the girl froze.
"Who's there?!" She spun and held her hand that enveloped with purple energy towards him.
Damian simply stood there and so was she.
Both of them froze.
A moment passed, then another.
And...
"You ... wear glasses?" He rose his brow.
Raven with sweaty face, blink a couple of times as she adjusted her glasses with her other hands.
"Damian, what are you doing in here? I thought you follow others to Mandatory day?" Her hands with energy start to dispersed.
"That explain everything." His lips tug aside.
"What?" Raven confused with the answer he gave.
" The book, the pose, the distance." He chuckled. Then, he looks at flustered Raven.
"What do you mean? you still haven't answer my question, Damian Wayne." Raven getting confused.
"Ah, nothing. I decided to stay just in case of emergency mission and all. I Wouldn't let you handle the cases alone." Damian crossed his arm as he sit at the kitchen counter.
"So...you're doubting me?" It was Raven turn arched her brow.
"I'm not saying you're not capable. I'm saying that you'll need some back up. Two heads are better than one, wouldn't it?" Damian lean back at the chair.
"Never knew you would thought of that, that's very kind of you." She smiled. " An improvement too."
Damian clicked his tongue and looked away, but pink tint start to visible on his cheeks and his ears. Ah, again with this feeling.
He clear his throat a couple of times, then a mug set in from of him. "Peppermint ice tea?"
His eyes looked at Raven as she seat in front of him, with glasses and book on her hands. The Flowers of evil, as he observed the title. "Thank you."
As he sip his tea, he stared at the book. "Flowers of Evil?" As he pointed at the book.
"Yeah, might try to read something like old poem." as Raven looked at the book title.
"I could recommend Robert Frost."
"I did read some of his. The Road Not Taken." As Raven sipped her tea.
"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
Raven blink her eyes as she heard his recitation the last verse. "So, do you take it?"
"Take what?"
"The road less traveled by."
Damian looked at her. " This is the road less traveled by." He smirk as he sip the cup.
Raven try to understand that line but Damian simply silent. He's quite enjoy the company he's having now.
"All these time, I've been wonder what's with burying your face in the book." He rest both of his elbow on the table as well as his chin on his propped hand. " Never knew you were actually Four-eyes, metaphorically."
"Are you, mocking me?" Raven furrowed her brows as she put her cup on the table.
"I found you looks more professional in those glasses." He smirked as he stared at her which leads to Raven unknowingly adjusting her glasses as she looked away.
"The glasses is expensive. I lost mine as I bought to mission when I first join the titans, so I tend to leave it at room and I had to use some of my powers to adjust my visions."
"But you could heal them?" Damian's begun to curious.
"Only limited time."
"Did you know there's is laser treatment for that?"
Raven surprised as she heard it. She seems to be thinking but then she put down her cup.
"I'd rather wear glasses than risking my eyes to go blind." She sighed. "Unless I end up become Bran the third eye Raven."
Damian chuckled. She's indeed full of surprises.
"If you lost your glasses again, do tell me. I might know some excellent optometrist to do excellent job."
"Uh, n-no. You don't have to. I.."
"That's what team mate for right? Helping each other?" He smiled. A genuine smile.
She seems stunned by him. Smiling. Damian Wayne is actual smiling.
"Besides, you in glasses, is a rare opportunity and quite pleasant to the eyes." As he get up and goes towards the sink to wash his empty cup. At the corner of his eyes, Raven were blushed hard then adjusting her glasses.
Shit. He cursed under his breath. She IS adorable IN glasses.

Sweet Valentine - Dick Grayson x Reader
Tumblr media
Requested by Anon - Imagine where the reader asks Wally how to get over a crush because they like them but he’s with Artemis and just angst please?
Requested by Anon -  can you write something where the reader likes Wally West but she becomes jealous of Artemis' and Wally's close relationship which causes her to enlist Robin's help to make Wally jealous; leading both of them to get together in the end? :))
Author’s Note - I made it Valentine’s Day and changed it up a bit.
You sat on your beach towel with a frown on your face. Wally and Artemis were splashing each other in the ocean, flirting madly with one another. It was beach day and the entire team was there. M’gann and Conner were playing fetch with Wolf as they walked along the shore together. Dick, Zatanna, Kaldur, and Raquel were tossing around a volleyball.
A sour feeling grew in your stomach when you saw Wally scoop up Artemis and spin her around. They both laughed, and you suddenly felt the need to throw up. Stupid Wally, you thought harshly. You didn’t understand how he could be so nice to you and even flirt with you a little only to get together with her.
The volleyball rolled and bumped into your leg. “Hey, (Y/N). Toss the ball,” Dick yelled as he jogged toward you. You glared at the ball before picking it up and throwing it. Dick groaned when it slammed into his stomach. “Ouch, what’s got you in a bad mood?”
“Shut up,” you growled. You got to your feet and snatched up your towel. “I’m going in. I’m getting a sunburn.”
“Hey, don’t leave,” Dick said as he watched you marched off. He sighed sadly and turned away to rejoin the others.
***
You were working on your math homework in the living room of the cave. Conner and M’gann stayed behind at school for her cheerleading practice. The zeta tube whirled in the other room. Your heart skipped a beat when you heard Wally’s designation.
Wally zoomed into the room and took a seat beside you. “Hey, what’s cookin’ good lookin’?” He flashed you a playful smirk.
You had to smile back at him. “Oh, nothing. Just trying to figure out this trig homework out.”
He winced. “Yeah, I can’t help you there. Trigonometry is my weakness.” Wally put his hands behind his head to relax. You bit your lip, trying to focus on your homework while your body tingled from how close he was. The blood was rushing to your face.
Wally turned on the TV. You eyed him for several minutes until he noticed and grinned at you. “What do I have something on my face?” he chuckled. You quickly looked away, embarrassed.
“No, you just have a nice face.” Your eyes widened suddenly in mortification. Why did you just say that?
Wally laughed. “Thank you. You have a nice face too.” He opened his mouth to say more, but his phone rang. He picked up the phone. “Oh, hey beautiful. Yeah, I’m at the cave waiting for you. I can’t wait for date night.”
Your heart broke into several pieces. You pinched yourself, telling yourself not to cry. Wally finished his call before watching the TV again. A minute later, the zeta tube whirled and Wally got up. “That should be Artemis. I’ll catch you later, (Y/N).” He gave you a wave before leaving.
A tear slipped down your cheek, but you quickly wiped it away to focus on your homework.
“Oh, so that’s it.” You jumped off the couch only to find Dick standing behind you. Your homework fell in a mess on the floor. “You like Wally.”
“Shut up, Dick,” you hissed, grabbing your homework and stuffing it in your backpack. Another tear ran down your cheek. Dick pressed his lips together, studying you sadly.
“Come on, (Y/N). It’s not the end of the world,” Dick soothed, taking a step toward you. You flinched away from him.
After a month of sulking and jealousy, you found yourself completely unhappy. It was only when Kaldur, feeling it was his duty as leader of the team, began to press you for the reason why, you decided you would have to get over your crush.
“Leave me alone.” You threw your bag over your shoulder and quickly escaped to your room.
***
You had no idea how to go about this when the source of your trouble was being rubbed in your face almost every day. However, on a mission where you and Wally were put on stake-out duty, you decided you would ask him. It was a dumb idea, but part of you hoped he would magically realize that you liked him and dump Artemis for you.
“So, Wally, can I ask you something?” you began as you settled down on the edge of the roof. Wally paused in his munching of potato chips.
“Sure, we got all the time in the world.” He rolled his eyes. “It doesn’t look like we’ll be doing anything soon.” Wally sat down next to you. You blushed, swallowing past the nervous lump in your throat.
“How do you get over a crush?” you asked. Your hands shook as you hoped this would go as you envisioned.
Wally smirked at you, popping a chip in his mouth. “You have a crush on someone? Come on, tell me who it is.” He nudged you playfully. You just blushed and looked away.
“It doesn’t matter. They’re with someone else.” You looked at him, hoping he would catch on. Unfortunately, Wally was as dense as they come.
“Oh, that’s too bad, but I wouldn’t give up,” Wally said, stuffing more chips in his mouth. Your heart dropped when you realized he was not catching on. Tears threatened to fall down your cheeks, but you blinked them back.
“You wouldn’t?” You pressed your lips together, closing your eyes.
“No, because you never know unless you try.” He took a moment to chew before continuing. “You should try to make them jealous.”
“What?” Your eyes snapped open. Hope blossoming in your heart.
“Make them jealous. Ask a friend to pose as your new lover, and make them jealous,” Wally said, waving his hand. He grinned at you. “I’ll do it for you if you want, but I’ll have to ask Artemis first.”
Your stomach twisted. “No, that’s okay. I’ll figure something else out.” An idea sparked in your mind. You were quickly forming a plan.
“Woah, there’s our guy,” Wally said, tossing his empty bag onto the ground before zooming toward the stairs. He stopped at the door when he realized you weren’t behind him. “Come on, (Y/N). It’s time.”
“Yeah, I’ll be right behind you.” He zoomed off. You glanced back at where he last stood, deep in thought. Maybe you had a chance after all, but who could you get to pose as your new love interest?
After the mission debriefing, you grabbed Dick’s arm and pulled him into a supply closet once the rest of the team left the room.
Suddenly, Dick’s creepy laugh echoed from below as he pounced on the target. You smiled, having your answer.
***
“You know if you wanted to get me alone, you could have just asked,” Dick said, wincing at how tight your grip was. You let him go, blushing.
“Sorry, but I have to ask you for a favor.” You glanced over your shoulder nervously.
Dick smirked. “Oh, really? What can I do for you, (Y/N)?” He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.
You frowned. Was he flirting with you? “Stop that.” You shoved him. “I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend.”
“Wh..what?!” Dick explained, his jaw dropping in surprise. This was the first time you had seen him surprised.
“I need you to pretend to be my boyfriend.” You sighed, blushing slightly. “Specifically in front of Wally.”
Dick was still in shock. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. Clearing his throat, he finally spoke. “You can’t be serious, (Y/N). I’m sorry, but I’m pretty sure Wally doesn’t like you in that way. He likes Artemis and I don’t think seeing you with me is going to work.” He laid a hand on your shoulder.
You flinched away from him, devastation dawning on your face. “You don’t know that! It could work!” A tear slipped down your cheek.
He sighed, studying you. His shoulders sagged as he reached up to brush away your tear with his thumb. “Okay, okay. We’ll do it, but don’t get your hopes up, (Y/N).”
Over the next several days, you and Dick played your parts. The two of you acted so lovey-dovey, you were told to get a room by Zatanna when she came to visit. You knew your plan was working. It had to.
“Thank you!” You hugged him tightly. Dick stiffened in your arms before relaxing, resting his chin on your shoulder.
***
The day before Valentine's Day, you were in a team workout. You were doing pull ups on the uneven bars while Dick and Wally stretched nearby.
“So you and (Y/N) are together now?” Wally asked, doing a quad stretch. You suppressed a grin and pretended you weren’t listening in.
Dick copied him. “Yeah, I guess we are.” He glanced over at you, but you focused on your pull ups.
“That’s great, bro. Hey, maybe Artemis and I can go out to dinner tomorrow with you two? Unless you already have big plans?” Wally had a cheesy smile on his face. A lump grew in your throat. The plan wasn’t working.
‘No, we have plans,” Dick said quickly. He blushed as he did a wall stretch.
Wally clapped a hand on Dick’s shoulder. “Maybe some other time? I’m happy for you though. You have been chasing after (Y/N) for years.” You lost your grip after hearing that, dropping hard onto the ground. Your ankle rolled the wrong way. You fell to the floor with a gasp of pain.
Dick was at your side immediately. “Are you okay?” He started checking you over, but you flinched away from him. You felt rotten inside. “(Y/N)?”
You struggled to your feet. Dick steadied you, but you jerked away from him. “Leave me alone,” you said, barely keeping it together. The pain in your ankle made you limp away. You couldn’t look at him. The rot seemed to spread through you as you realized you were a terrible person.
A hurt look crossed Dick’s face. “Come on, (Y/N). You’re hurt,” Wally said, stepping in. He grabbed your arm, but you pulled away and kept limping.
“Just leave me alone,” you sobbed, moving as fast as you could. Once you were safely in your room, you fell apart completely. Your ankle throbbing away, but you felt it was justice for being cruel to Dick.
You woke up to a cold ankle and sticky eyes. Wiping at your eyes to get them to open, you were surprised to find your ankle elevated with an ice pack around it. The blood ran to your face when you realized someone must have came into your room and tended to your ankle.
You kept thinking over and over again how you used Dick. You used his feelings for you to try to get Wally, who apparently would never be interested in you. Eventually, after telling yourself how horrible you were, you fell into a restless sleep.
***
Kicking off the ice pack, you got to your feet. Your ankle ached a little, but you limped your way to your door to go wash your face. However, you stopped when you saw a note taped to your door.
-(Y/N)
--Meet me tomorrow at eight on the beach.
-(Not Wally)
You paced by the door to the beach, getting up your courage to face whoever was waiting on the beach. Deep down in your gut, you knew it had to be Dick who sent you the note and the very thought of facing him made your stomach twist. The guilt from using him didn’t disappear in the day you spent avoiding everyone.
You glared at the note, sensing who it was probably from. Your heart sank before you shook your head and left the room.
***
Your breath got caught in your throat as you heard someone coming. You hid behind the corner.
“So what’s up with (Y/N)?” Artemis asked. You held your breath at the sound of your name.
“I don’t know, but I think Dick likes them,” M’gann said softly. They passed where you were hiding. You froze, praying they wouldn’t see you. “He has been planning something for them all day. We’re not supposed to go on the beach tonight.”
“Really? Never thought Dick would like (Y/N),” Artemis said. They turned a corner, walking away without noticing you. You sighed in relief, your heart aching even more than before. Closing your eyes, you gathered your courage before heading out the door.
Your breath caught in your throat when you saw a trail of roses leading out to the beach. Tears filled your eyes. “Oh, Dick,” you sighed, picking up the roses as you followed the trail. When you came around the bend, you saw Dick standing up ahead with a blanket on the sand along with a picnic basket.
“Happy Valentine’s Day,” Dick said once you were close enough. By this time, you had a entire bouquet of roses in your arms.
You bit your lip before bursting into tears. The roses fell onto the sand as you covered your face with your hands.
“Woah, hey. Don’t cry,” Dick soothed. His arms wrapped around you. “I’m sorry if you don’t like the roses. I just figured they were classic so I went with them.”
A laugh escaped your lips amidst the tears. “No, it’s not the roses.” You sniffled, feeling embarrassed by this outburst. The plan of being calm and apologetic went out the window. “I was cruel to you. I don’t deserve your kindness.”
Dick pulled away from you in surprise. “What? How were you cruel to me? If anything I was cruel to you.”
“What are you talking about?” You took the tissue Dick handed you and did you best to clean up your face.
“I said I would pretend to be your boyfriend with the intention of seducing you away from Wally. I wasn’t honest and I shouldn’t have done that.” Dick swallowed hard. “I know you like Wally, but I was hoping maybe you could give me a chance.” He ran a hand through his hair. “This is not as romantic as I was hoping it would be.”
You bit your lip, your feelings torn. “I’m...I like you, Dick, but I’m not over Wally completely yet.” Dick’s face fell. “No, I’m not saying never, but just not now.”
Dick nodded in understanding. “Yeah, I can live with that.” He reached out to take your hand. “So, I have this picnic here and it’s Valentine’s day. Do you want to sit here and enjoy it as friends with sexual tension between them?”
You pressed your lips together, but the laughter slipped out anyway. “Seriously? Friends with sexual tension? How did you go from causal friends to that?”
“Because it’s true. You’ve always wanted my body, I can tell.” Dick crossed his arms with a playful smirk. You rolled your eyes before bending down to pick up the roses. Dick got down to help you. His hand brushed yours and you realized what you had been missing this entire time.

Infinity, Chapter 2: Eternal
An AU where the 13 studio characters are immortal. In this chapter, Henry finds a way out of the timeloop, and Sammy Lawrence and Thomas Connor must enter the sketch dimmension to rescue the ink creatures!
---
After what felt to Henry like at least 24 hours, he dragged himself into the chamber to fight the ink demon, and realized just how stupid his plan was. Sure, sit there and wait, make sure Joey won’t be awake when I complete the loop. Well, now I have to fight the ink demon and I can barely keep my eyes open. This would be painful.
Henry played the tape in the throne room, as he had a million times before. The ink demon appeared before Henry and did its slow transformation. While he busied himself with that, Henry put in the end tape. “Wow, why did I never do that befo-”
-Henry was smacked through the wall and landed on his stomach, leaving him in the halls to begin the same runaround as always. Even having done this hundreds of times before, Henry was wracked with adrenaline as he obeyed his muscle memory to stick close to the walls, hide in nooks the demon couldn’t get to. He made no wrong turns in activating the switches. Next was getting the ink demon to run into the ink tubes, which posed no problem either. However, as Henry ran back to the throne room, Bendy grabbed onto Henry’s leg, lifted him towards his mouth, and sniffed at him at a bear. Henry knew he couldn’t die, but my God would this be unpleasant. Bendy decided that Henry was edible, crunched him up a little, and swallowed him.
The ink demon had no organs. He was just one inky mass inside. The ink demon settled down for a nap. Henry's lungs felt crushed, and the ink was entering the gashes left by the demon's teeth, but it wasn't getting worse. After a few minutes, Henry realized that if he didn’t do something, this would be his eternal state. And so, he pushed his arms through the thick ink and situated them where the ink demon’s arms were, so that he was almost wearing the beast like a puppet. With an immense amount of effort, Henry was able to get the beast to rise and turn back around the throne room. The beast growled and Henry felt vibrations all around him. It was fighting him, trying to move its ink in the opposite direction. Henry persisted. One lumbering arm-step, then another. The beast continued to whine and yowl. With no other way of knowing how close he was, Henry took that as a good sign. In the end, that flash of light came.
Now in Joey Drew’s apartment, Henry fell to his knees. The giant, ink-filled tooth-marks all over his body throbbed. But he’d done it. Right? Sure to be absolutely silent, Henry looked in the kitchen, and then checked Joey’s drawing desk to find that Joey had fallen asleep overtop of it. He found a phone and tapped in 911.
“Hello, this is 911, what is your emergency?”
“Hello. This is hard to explain, but my name is Henry Stein, and I am being held hostage at the residence of Joey Drew. Please send help. Please investigate the ink machine- the strange machine in his garage. He’ll try and make it look like everything’s normal, but- Please. Believe me.”
“We’ll be right over.”
Henry hung up and slumped to the floor, crying. Out of physical pain, relief, or worry that his gambit wouldn’t pay off he wasn’t sure. The portal to the sketch dimension was right near him, and he knew that his injuries were repaired at the beginning of each loop. But if he went in there, the dispatchers would have a harder time finding him. Henry mulled over where he should wait.
“What have you done?!” Joey roared, snapping Henry out of his thoughts. “Henry, go visit the old studio. There’s something I need to show you.” Joey had said it a million times before, but never so harshly. Like every time before, Henry got up, quite painstakingly this time, and entered the studio. The second the door closed, his injuries were gone as though they were never there.
Should I do another loop in case no help is on the way, or should wait here by the entrance so I'll be easier to find? Either way, it was future Henry’s problem. He found a desk to collapse on and quickly fell asleep.
---
It was four in the morning on August 12th, 1967 when Sammy received the last phone call he’d ever expected to.
“Hello?”
“Hello. This is the New York City police department. Is this Sammy Lawrence?”
Sammy’s eyes shot open in surprise. “Yes.”
“You need to come to New York City as soon as possible. This is not optional- we have heard from multiple people that you have information on the ink machine and the activities of Joey Drew. You aren’t in trouble yet, but if you refuse to comply, we will be forced to get national services involved. This is a matter life or death. Understood?” The policeman’s voice was friendly enough, but Sammy wasn’t foolish enough to think that his compliance would be all it took to keep him out of trouble. But what could he do?
“I’ll book a flight immediately,” Sammy said.
When he showed up at the police department, a number of other people out of uniform were there- Susie Campbell, Allison Pendle, Jack Fain, Norman Polk, and a few he didn’t recognize. One- Bertrum Piedmont- Sammy only recognized as one of the people that he and Joey had tried to murder back in the day. They all looked as young as ever.
“So, let me get this straight,” a tall, broad policeman said in a commanding voice, facing the group, and thus away from Sammy. “You each have the same story. You were knocked out somehow by Joey Drew, some of you when a man named Sammy Lawrence was around as well, and then you woke up outside the studio with large cuts on your throats. You all gave that description over the phone, without having had any opportunity to communicate on the matter. And you, Ms. Campbell, have the same story, but with a twist: you agreed to it. Is that all correct?” There was general agreement. The policeman turned to Sammy, looking almost apologetic.
“Mr. Lawrence, you see the situation we have here. And it will have to be dealt with in time. But for right now, you and Mr. Connor have been called by the S. W. A. T. to advise them on how to extract the, uh, people from super-dimensional thing in Mr. Drew’s kitchen. Best of luck. You’ll need it.”
An hour later, Sammy and Thomas were in the studio. Sammy had proposed this. He felt that this was the only way to keep the authorities from finding out about his murders. They’d been allowed to take some of the S. W. A. T. team’s equipment in with them, at least. Sammy had been given some instruction on how to wield the handgun that now hung at his belt, though he was hoping to rely solely on his knife. Thomas, on the other hand, looked much more comfortable with the massive gun he was holding.
“That gun is accurate, right?” Sammy asked, “if I run into a combat situation with my knife, you won’t hit me accidentally?”
“Combat?” Thomas snapped, “You said that the ink creatures would never hurt their creators. I thought there wasn’t going to be any combat!”
Sammy took in a deep breath. “That was a lie.”
Thomas was utterly shocked. “Then what the hell are we doing in here when we could’ve sent armed professionals?!”
“I didn’t want them to know about what I’ve done. Two days ago, that was all in the past, Thomas. I’d almost forgotten about it. I don’t want to have to live my life thinking about how I helped cause this. I just want to fix it so it’s over.”
“You want to forget you were a part of this, huh? Well join the club. The thing is, knowing about yourself can help keep you in line. Y’know, Allison used to talk about how her parents would have never approved of us because I’m not Presbyterian. Y’know what I did the second GENT sent me to my next client? Became a Presbyterian. Rules are good, Sammy. Rules can keep you in line. And forgiveness is also good, if you deserve it. You religious?”
“A little,” Sammy answered as they finally reached the staircase down. After hack-and-slashing their way through a horde of searchers, Sammy attempted to lead the way to Wally’s sanctuary. The studio’s layout had other ideas for them- Sammy could have sworn that the place was rearranged like a jigsaw puzzle with the pieces switched around. At last, they arrived. Sammy knocked on the door, and moments later it cracked open. Sammy had time to vaguely make out a peeking green eye before Henry threw the door open.
“People!” Henry exclaimed. “Oh my God, finally. Are you here to rescue me? Wait- Sammy
?”
Sammy nodded. “That’s right. We’re here to rescue you.”
Henry tackled Sammy with a hug. “Thank you!”
“We’re here for any ink creatures it would be safe to extract as well. Do you know where any of them are?”
“Well, I definitely know where one is.” Henry turned back into the safehouse and called Boris’ name. Boris came over like a dog who'd been asked to come. Henry gave him a little pat on the head, which he leaned into, smiling. That was how Henry knew that Boris was dominant- when Buddy was dominant, he reacted more adversely to being pet like a dog. "This is Boris. Sammy, you know how these things are made, don't you?"
"We both do," Thomas answered, ashamed. "Who's his soul?"
"A boy named Daniel Lewek. He doesn't remember it very often, but he wrote out his story while he was dominant. We should bring that out, too," Henry headed back in to grab the book. Meanwhile, Boris offered his hand to Sammy and Thomas.
"You in there, Daniel?" Thomas asked. Boris looked confused. "No? That's okay. We'll find a way to get you out again. You'll see."
Once the group was back together, they headed for the exit. Henry came into the apartment through the closet door, saw it filled with military personnel, and fell down onto his hands and knees. "I'm gonna live. I'm gonna go home, and see my family again, and everything. Oh." Henry suddenly realized that he was forgetting one creature: Boris. "And Boris can come with me. Henry pet Boris again, and he liked it. "You're gonna love the real world."
"Henry," Thomas interjected, "I'm not sure that's a good idea. You said you have a family, didn't you? Well, you already disappeared for almost four years, so I really don't think you should shock them more by bringing home something that doesn't even belong in this world. I have no family and even knew Buddy a little. I'll take him."
"After we get the other ink creatures, right?" Sammy said.
"Of course," Thomas replied, and they set to talking.
Henry was silent for a moment, reflective. “I can take Boris after Linda dies. I'm not going to die. Neither are you, Sammy. Or Joey. We're immortal. How do we figure out who else there is? Who are immortal, I mean."
Sammy and Thomas stared at him. "Well, the others at the police station are a good start at least," Sammy said. "That must have been why they didn't die when Joey and I were trying to sacrifice them." Sammy turned back to Thomas. "Anyhow. You can definitely have Boris, but I want to adopt one of these ink creatures, too. I feel responsible."
"Oh, no you aren't," one of the police in the room interjected, "You just upgraded your seven felony assault charges to seven attempted murders. The second you've rescued all the sentient beings from that hell dimension, you're going into a holding cell. I can hope you can assuage your guilt from in there."
Henry gave his old friend a pained look. "Sorry about this, Sammy."
Sammy sighed. "Well, all will pass, right? Since we're eternal. At least, let me answer questions on how the machine works. Maybe we can make separate bodies for the human halves and the cartoon halves."
“I’m out of the loop and don’t know what you’re talking about,” the policeman said, “and anyhow, it’s not for me to decide. But that might be doable. We’ll have to see.”

Inky Terrors Of The Past Chapter 1- Back To Hell
                              A.N: heya guys this is the official chapter of my au's story after an long. Whole while of thinking I just felt the need to rewrite this entire story but its not gonna be fully canon with the actual game itself. Without futher to do hope you all enjoy! ---- 30 years have passed ever since Henry had left his dream job. He was in his room looking a an picture of him with bendy on his first ever birthday he looked so happy in that "....." He sighed he really missed him his creation, he just wished he could of brought him Along "Jess would of liked ya bud.." He said to the picture. Just then Jessica came running in "hey there kiddo" Henry said to his daughter. "D-dad, I have an letter for y-you" he looked confuse "who in earth would sent me an letter" Jess muttered "you'll never guess.." Henry grabbed the letter and opened it while Jess walked upstairs about to look like she was gonna scream. "Dear Henry, its been an while since we worked on cartoons together, 30 years really slips away doesn't it? If your back in town come visit the old workshop. There's something I need to show you, your best pal, Joey Drew" The letter kept playing in Henry's head as he drove towards the studio he remembered how to get there even after 30 years. "What does Joey have to show me  that's been belated for 30 years?" He talked to himself as he reached the studio he looked at it "been an long time since I was here" he said as he parked and got out of his car. He opened the door to the studio and entered it. "Alright Joey I'm here, let's see what you wanted to show me" he said as he walked. An lot has changed in the studio. For one there was no one around it almost looked abandoned, he saw the projecter on "heh this thing still works?" He said as he waved his hand slightly on the lighten of the camera smiling slightly. He explored around in the studio as he saw how much has changed. He looked at the board of ink pressure. "Wow looks like Joey really was ruined without me to help" he muttered to himself as he jumped over an pipe and saw an balcony with chains. He walked over and saw that there was an generator and a machine. He rubbed the back of his head confused "alright so how do I get this thing to work?" He said as he looked to see the power box was missing two boxes he grabbed one and found the other in a box and placed it in the slot and turned on the lift "this lift could use an few drys, let's see what's your hiding down there, old friend" he said to himself as he saw the ink machine being rose up "so this thing is still standing even after all this time?" he said as he inspected the makeover it received "huh gotta say joey must of done some improvements with it.." he figured how he should turn it on than he remembered the flow ink room he walked out of the ink machine room and came across the gate that was closed before now opened. he was curious and walked through it "how much did joey change this place?" he said as he walked observing the oak wood red colored floorboards  as this place sure got old when he last left he walked into one of the other rooms and saw the ink pressure was off and there were these six small pillar that looked like they each held something "hmm..." he looked at each picture "looks like those are the items i need" he said as he turned around to go look for them when he suddenly got jumpscared by the cutout he gasped before breathing "who put this here?!" he said as he looked around before shaking his head "scaring me with your cutouts this time kid?" he said to the cutout who did not response as henry rolled his eyes and kept walking. soon enough he found the gear, the music disc, the doll, the book. He just needed to find the wrench and the inkwell. He looked for the wrench first but came as shocked from seeing the strapped corpse of Boris the wolf "oh god... Joey what were you doing?" He said to himself as he looked at the message of "who's laughing now?" He saw many other messages before he got to the room like "dreams come true" Henry stared with an sad look on Boris's corpse "how long has he been dead...?" He wondered to himself as he saw the tool box he opened it and was left now guilty. There was an bone in there now he was mad did they lure Boris Into here he clenched his fists "I swear Joey you and I are gonna have an talk.." He said to himself as he sadly got the wrench out of boris's chest and had to cover his mouth when he saw ink starting sporting out of the wound. He started hearing whispers in the ink "this is getting weird" he said to himself as he walked away. Along the way he found one of the tapes showing Wally he had an smirk on even in all of this wally's catchphrase never cease to amaze him. He went back to the main room and saw something he did not noticed. The closest door that was closed has an stained unknown substance. He slowly opened the door and got jump scared by an corpse as it landed on the ground how long had the corpse been there he had no clue. He saw something stuck in the corpse's back he pulled it out it was an large sharp hunting knife with strange markings and words on it he felt like this was Joey's and putted the knife in his belt loop. after staring at the inked corpse henry then walked off and found his old desk but no inkwell “hey here’s my old desk, I wasted so much time on this chair” he said as he turned around and said an room that wasn’t there before “huh, that wasn’t there before” he said as he walked in “looks like joey knocked down an hole here, must of took an few people to replace me” he said as he looked around admiring the doodles and saw one certain doodle that kept changing it’s pose whenever henry looked away he smiled at one of them that had the little devil laying on the ground with his hands under his chin with an cheerful expression “how you doing buddy? miss me?” he said to the drawing while smiling slightly as he saw the inkwell “ah okay that’s all of them” he said as he did’int noticed ah figure moving slowly towards him. henry picked up the inkwell “alright, now ba-” before he could talk more he felt something slammed against the back of his head and henry’s vision darkened. it only took more than 20 minutes for him to wake up as he was still in the same room he goraned which he heard an startled reaction coming out of whoever hitted him he turned slowly and his eyes widen as did the figure he saw someone he never expected to see again but he couldn’t believe it. same dark hoodie, same blue jeans, same green gloves and the same face “b
.bendy?” bendy stared eye wided he couldn’t believe it himself but he was looking at his creator he tried closing his eyes and opening them but he was still there same kind voice, same jeans same grey shirt and same green vest. he had an big smile on his face he was right he told alice that henry would come back one day and he was right! he finally did came back!  his big happy smile then turned to an big frown as he dropped the mallet as huge inky tears dripped down sniffling “h-h-h
..hen–ry?” he said his voice cracking and breaking. henry smiled and opened his arms to which the little devil ran up to his creator and hug tackled him crying as henry hugged back as the little devil cried into his shoulders “i missed you so much henry
” henry shush him as he rubbed the little devil’s head “i know buddy
 i’m here now alright? it’s gonna be alright” he said as bendy kept hugging him sobbing into his shoulders. it wasn't long before henry had to let go of the hug and got back up "henry... where are you going?" the little devil asked "well to put these back in those pestidals i guess" bendy's eyes widen "h-henry w-why would ya do that?" he asked him as henry turned around the corridor realizing the cutout is gone as he putted the offerings on where they need to be "because i need those in order to turn the mac-" bendy stopped him "woah woah woah! henry trust me you do not wanna turn on that damn machine!" bendy said grunting as henry noticed he needed to flow the ink not really paying attention "kid i seen weirder things than thist but believe me. why should i be afraid now?" bendy growled "henry trust me really, you. do. not. wanna. turn. on. that. machine!" henry kept walking and was jumpscared by another cutout "old man, your not scared of anything but your scared of one of those cutouts peeking out?!" henry glared at bendy "it surprised me!" henry stopped before sighing "sorry... did'int mean to push ya buttons hen.." bendy said now feeling guilty "no it's fine bud... but please do understand once i turn on the machine then we can talk all you want. alright?" bendy shook his head "no henry please listen there's a reason why the machine is turned of-" henry pressed the button to flow the ink and a pipe burst causing the room to be flooded. the two saw the projecter turned on by itself as they heard an whistling sound coming from every direction. when it ended henry grew concerned and walked out of the room quickly with bendy following. the two heard an clanking sound from the ceiling as it looked like someone was crawling above them. henry quickly pressed the button to the power as the room suddenly dimmed down. "okay... that should be it" bendy was still crossing his arms while muttering "don't say i did'int warn ya..." henry looked at him with an confused look "what was that?" bendy quickly shutted up "nothing!" Henry noticed ink sprouting out of the boris corpse as he looked midly disgusted by it as he walked off with bendy following "come on henry you gotta hear me out!" henry payed him no mind as he stepped over the pipe "henry please!" it was too late bendy knew as they saw the ink machine room now boarded up  "what the..." he said as he walked closer and closer until he about an inch to the boards when suddenly something slapped him "H E N R Y" henry looked horrorfied as bendy helped him up and dragged him "what in the hell is that?!" henry yelled out "questions later! RUNNING NOW!" modern said as the two ran and ran as the ink demon roared and broke out of the boards and chased the two down. it wasn't long when he leaped foward slashing henry by the leg from behind as the animator fell. bendy looked in horror and quickly distracted the ink demon by slamming an chair. the ink demon hissed in annoyance and punched bendy hard in the stomach and threw him aside. it noticed henry trying to crawl away as it's unmoving grin grew wider as it grabbed henry by the leg and threw him at the pouring ink like wall barrier hearing an thud like crashing sound as henry was thrown to it and crashing onto crates. henry weakly pulled out the strange knife but he was thrown yet again out of the ink pouring wall as he hit the wall with an thud. the ink demon walked towards henry as it raised it's claws but then something slammed into the inky beast. it was bendy but he was different for one he was taller and ink was covering his face. he roared and kept clawing at the ink demon with his clawed hand as henry got up and slowly ran towards the door. the ink demon grabbed bendy and threw him at henry the two falling through an hole in the floor as the ink demon watched them fall from the upper floor to sammy's floor, he walked off taking the long way. Henry got up slowly while holding his side as the knife was foreceally stabbed into his stomach during the fall. he slowly got up while holding the wound as he slowly drained the ink well. suprised to see bendy still up and about but in a daze "H....HENRY?" he asked "y-yeah bud i’m still here" he said wincing "c-can you.... t-turn back?" he asked him as he nodded and reverted back to his toon form. after minutes of walking and draining the valves that made it to an clear room. henry cleaned again the wall with the "THE CREATOR LIED TO US" message as he bit down on an strange looking object that seem to be a gun as he pulled out the knife as he grunts in pain. bendy was now worried more "i-im alright buddy... j-just gotta.... take it slow" he said as he putted the object away and the knife back in his belt loop as he looked towards the axe and picked it up "this will come in handy" he said as he carefully made an path for him and bendy. when they arrived in a room suddenly the path behind them caves into the ink "h-henry!" bendy said as henry suddenly had an headache as he dropped the axe when he stepped onto the pentagram flashes of visions filled his mind as he couldn’t handle it as he passed out with bendy running to his aid in a hurry.

Escape to the City Chap.1
So I think this is my second multi-chapter fanfic on this blog! But anyways I had this series idea for a while. So this takes place in the @ask-joeydrewstudios and the toons escape to the city.
This fanfic will have a bit of a movie feel to it, but I hope you enjoy it!
Au: @ask-joeydrewstudios
It was always normal at Joey Drew Studios. Henry was drawing the shots for the next episode. Sammy was in his office writing music, while Susie was next to him singing, and hugging him. Wally was cleaning the studio, while trying to listen in on the workers for the latest gossip. For the toons, they sat around thinking of what to do. Bendy and Boris was waiting for Alice, who left because she found something.
Speaking of Alice, she came back pushing a giant box into the room. She looked at the boys with a nod, with the later nodding back. They opened the box and grabbed the clothes inside putting them on.
“Let’s do this.” Bendy declared.
Slowly, they tried to leave the studio looking around to make sure none of the workers were around to catch them. Once the close was clear they we’re on the move again. The pattern continued once they got downstairs facing the door.
“There it is guys, the entrance to the outside world.” Bendy said. Ever since being brought into the world, Bendy, Boris and Alice wanted to go see the outside world, but Joey prevented them due to it not being safe.
As the toons we’re about to open the door they were stopped. “What are you guys doing?” Joey asked. The toons turned around seeing Joey stand there, arms crossed staring at his ink children.
“Uh
” Bendy stuttered, looking around for an excuse. “Alice is making us fashion models!” Bendy lied as he and the toons posed.
Though still disappointed, it sure gave Joey a chuckle. “Nice try you three.” Joey said removing each of the disguises off the toons. The toons sighed and walked back to their room. They removed their disguises and sat down on the couch with a sigh.
“Cheer up guys, there’s always next time.” Boris beamed.
Alice and Bendy looked at Boris, not amused. “Boris, that’s the 5th time this month. Face it, we’re not leaving this studio.” Bendy complained.
Boris’s ears fell down. He thought about it, but Alice knew what Boris was planning, “This is no time for a song Boris.” Alice sighed. Boris’s ears fell again, making him disappointed like his toon friends.
By nightfall Boris and Alice were asleep, but Bendy looked at the outside world using a hole that was made in the studio. He looked at the stars, and the pretty lights from the buildings, Bendy sighed seeing the outside world wondering what its like out there.
Footsteps started to come towards the room, and quickly, Bendy lied down to pretend he was sleeping. Joey came by to check on the toons, and smiled they were all asleep. Once Joey left the room, Bendy opened his eyes and faced the hole looking outside again till he finally fell asleep.
The next morning the same routine happened like before, but with the toons just sat down in their room playing cards instead of sneaking out again. It was boring to them, but it did prevent Joey from scolding at them.
At night, Bendy looked outside through his special hole to see the outside world, he saw some buildings have flashing lights. Bendy saw a party was going on and smiled. He covered up the hole again
“Bendy,” Bendy jumped when he saw Alice and Boris we’re awake, “what’s with the hole?” Alice asked.
Bendy turned around and faced the hole. “Oh this.” He chuckled. “Since we can’t go outside on our own, this is the closest I can get.” Bendy made the hole in the wall a bit bigger to give Alice and Boris a look outside.
“Wow is that what it looks like?” Boris asked seeing the pretty lights.
“Just a part of it.” Bendy replied. The toons got a good look outside and saw the stars and city lights on. Bendy tried to squeeze his way through so he can see, not knowing the group got stuck in the hole.
“Oh great! We’re stuck!” Alice yelled.
The toons struggled and tried to get free from the hole, but suddenly, the hole gave out and the toons fell to the sidewalk outside. The toons groaned, and rubbed their heads and looked around.
Bendy smiled knowing where they are. “Guys! Were outside!” Bendy cheered getting up and looking around them. The toons felt the cool breeze go through them, and sighed feeling it.
“That feels good.” Boris sighed.
“I agree.” Alice replied. The toons looked at each other and started walking away from the studio. After a couple of minutes of walking, they got tired and tried looking for a place to rest. Once they found a spot, they lied down next to each other to warm up from the cold air.
The next morning, Henry came into the studio and heard Joey freaking out and looking around. “Joey!” Henry called out running to the room. “What’s wrong!?” He yelled. Henry saw his boss tired and his hair was sticking out over the place.
“Bendy! The Toons!” Joey was stuttering as he yelled, almost to the point of crying. “T-They’re gone!” He yelled.
“What?!” Henry asked. Henry looked into the room the toons normally relaxed in, and saw it was empty. The only thing there was a large hole from where they escaped. “Oh no.” Henry mumbled.

Nightwing/Dick Grayson x Reader
Word Count: 3079
——————————————————
When you walked into your shared apartment, something felt off. You didn’t know what it was but your gut told you something was wrong. Very wrong.
“Babe?” you called out to your boyfriend, only to be met with silence which was odd considering you could see that he left his favorite shoes by the door.
Nonetheless, you shrugged off your coat and tossed your bag onto the couch before heading down the hall to the room that you both shared.
Oh.
Your heart plummeted to your stomach when you saw a pair of heels, that weren’t yours, in the hallway leading to your bedroom. They were placed as if they were taken off in a rush. The tears hadn’t come until you neared the door and opened it. It was clear that Dick and her had been there for a while as she was laying on top of his chest and their clothes were in a pile on the ground. The knife of betrayal twisted into your stomach and you choked a cry back as you saw how at ease he was laying there with her. They seemed peaceful, and together, something that you and him seemed to be lacking as of late. You backed out of the room slowly, as to not disturb them, but were quickly stopped by a hand placed on your shoulder.
“Y/N,” Dick whispered as you turned around to face him.
You wanted to slap him and scream at him for betraying you after four years, but you couldn’t find the strength to do anything. A tear escaped and you quickly wiped it away, not wanting him to see.
“Yes? Sorry I was just getting out of your way. It’s clear I was interrupting something,” you said sarcasm and malice dripping from your voice.
“Babe please let me explain”
“Explain what? It’s clear what happened here. You and Zatanna clearly have something going on here and I’ll be damned if I’m sticking around to find out what.”
“It’s not like that.”
“I’m sorry but it’s exactly like that. She’s naked in our bed! Our room! Our apartment! You didn’t even have the decency to break up with me. So I’m going to ask this once. How many times?”
“Y/N
.” he trailed off.
“Just answer the damn question Grayson,” you harshly whispered.
“Three,” he answered hesitantly and that was when you knew that there was no going back.
“I’ll have my stuff out of here by the end of the week,” you told him turning back around and hurrying down the hallway and out of the apartment.
“Y/N wait I’m sorry, please. Can we at least talk about this?”
“I have nothing to say. To either of you,” you said looking slightly over your shoulder, hand on the doorknob to leave.
You didn’t give him a chance to say anything or see the tears that were starting to rush down your face before exiting your apartment. You ran down several flights of stairs before stopping at the bottom of one, collapsing in sobs on the ground. Tears were streaming as you tried to hold on the cries and ragged breathing of your sobbing. You searched through reaching for your phone and calling the one person you knew you could trust right now.
“Y/N?” She asked through the phone.
“Can you please pick me up?” You asked, voice.
“Are you crying? Where are you? I’ll be right there” Artemis said.
“Front of my apartment building,” you replied before hanging up the phone.
You made it down the rest of the stairs to sit on the bench in front of the apartment building, face in your hands. Before you knew it, a hand rested on your shoulder and you looked up to see a welcomed face. Artemis pulled you into a hug immediately when she saw your face. You cried into her shoulder slightly as he held you there.
“Not here love. Don’t cry here, come on let’s go home,” she said pulling away and letting you hop into the car.
The drive was short and silent besides your hiccups from the passenger seat.
“What’d he do? Because I swear to god I will kill him and if Wally doesn’t me to then I’ll get Jason to kill him” She said once you two got to her own apartment with Wally and plopped onto the couch.
“He cheated on me,” you told her between sobs.
Her face was full of shock at your revelation; it was clear that she was not expecting that answer.
“I’M GOING TO KILL HIM.”
“That’s not it,” you said when the sobs had calmed down.
“Oh my God what else Y/N. tell me how many times I am going to have to kill him.”
“He cheated with Zee
. three times.”
“Oh Honey,” she said pulling you into her arms.
There was no doubt the pity she was feeling for you right now. Zee was your friend, and one of your best ones too. So for her to be the one that Dick had cheated with was an extra slap in the face. You couldn’t believe either of them, of course, you had known about the two of them before you and Dick started dating, but never had you thought it would pose a problem in your relationship.
A couple days passed and you were stuffing all your feelings down by working and cleaning. Wally had been sympathetic and told you to stay as long as you needed. In return, their apartment had been stocked with constant food and cleaning. You had ignored his copious amounts of calls and messages. You wanted nothing to do with him and today you were going back to clean out the majority of your things.
You turned the key to your apartment and were hit back flashbacks and nostalgia at the sight of the beyond mess of the rooms. Shaking your head you grabbed your suitcase from the closet and started throwing in the majority of your clothing and keepsakes that were in your shared bedroom. You sighed each time you came across a sweatshirt of his or a t-shirt that you had kept; you tossed each of those onto the bed except for your favorite which you reluctantly tucked into your suitcase. After packing up two suitcases, you grabbed wrote a note to him and then left.
Dick’s POV
The past couple days had blended into a monotonous routine of missions, work, and then straight home. Nothing could describe the pain that he felt when he knew he had fucked up and found you backing out of your own room quietly. Shaking his head, he unlocked the door to your apartment and the sight of its state left tears in his eyes. He couldn’t justify what he did to you and he wasn’t even sure why. But one thing was sure to him, it had always been just sex. Looking around, everything had been stripped of you. Gone was the stupid set of wine glasses you insisted on getting because of Scandal. Gone was the framed picture of you smiling that was stuck to your fridge. Gone was the blanket that you loved oh so dearly. He rushed into your bedroom and his breath hitched in his throat. You were gone; your clothes, shoes, and it didn’t seem like home to him anymore. On the bed was a small pile of his clothes you always wore, to the point that they smelt of you. He sat on the bed, grabbing one of his shirts and breathed in your scent as to hold onto any memory of you in this place. It was as if you had vanished from his life. Then he noticed the note on top of the clothes. It was one simple sentence written in your rushed handwriting, no doubt because you were trying to avoid him.
Everything else you can keep. I took everything I want. Thank you for the good times. ~ Y/N
And that was it. Four years done with three simple sentences. Sixteen words.
Dick knew that it was him that messed it all up; that it was him everyone blamed. Jason and Artemis hated him. Wally couldn’t speak to him normally anymore. Bruce, Tim, and Dami were all disappointed in him. Everyone else on the team still held a cold edge towards him. But he couldn’t blame them; he deserved this treatment and everyone loves you, including him, not that it mattered anymore. He could remember the first time he introduced you to his families and when they revealed their identities. You had become a member of the team in your own way and had left an imprint on everyone. He flopped back onto the bed clutching at the last memories of you two as he had done every night on his own.
~~~~
Y/N’s POV
Eventually, the calls and messages stopped, and a month passed by. You saw him each time you two ended up meeting at Mount Justice, and each time his look towards you crumbled your facade of being okay. You had been living with Walls and Arti for a month now, not that they had minded. Everyone had been sympathetic to you, even Zatanna who apologize profusely, and you hesitantly had let her back in your life.
Today you had been summoned by Alfred for dinner at the Wayne Manor. You agreed after much convincing that you were a part of the family and that Bruce and the boys wanted you there. No one had told you if Dick would be coming, but you presumed he wouldn’t since you were invited.
Slipping into your car, you headed to the manor. As you reached the gates, you could see each person’s car parked in the driveway making you smile as you realized everyone had come to see you. As you walked into the mansion, you were instantly greeted.
“Miss Y/N I am very glad to see you accepted the invitation,” Alfred greeted with a friendly hug.
“Of course I did, I’ve missed your cooking and everyone for that matter,” you complimented.
“No need for that, I’m just glad you came.”
“So am I,” you said as you looked around, reminiscing at how close it felt to home.
“Short stuff I’m glad you’re here, shocked but glad, ” Jason said as he greeted you by ruffling your hair as he always did.
You smiled, Jason had become much of a brother to you as with all the Batboys. Bruce and Alfred were the closest things you had to a father in your life.
“Y/n I am glad to see that the imbecile mistake that Grayson has made did not stop you from arriving,” Damian told you as he walked over to hug you.
“How have you been Dami?”
“I am well, but I believe I should be asking you that.”
The door behind you suddenly opened and your ears were met with a familiar voice, “I’m not late am I?”
“N, you are not Grayson.”
“Y/N
” he said lightly as you faced him.
“Hello Dick, I didn’t know you would be here,” you replied being civil about everything.
He looked tired. The bags under his eyes had grown and everything on him was a mess.
“I didn’t know you would be here either. Alfred said family dinner tonight.”
Jason instinctively put his arm around you and Damian had stepped in front of you as if to protect you from any more“imbecile” mistakes that his brother could make.
“I wasn’t aware of that. Sorry. I’ll just be on my way then,” you said softly looking at his blue eyes for the first time.
He didn’t say anything and you took that as you invitation to leave, starting to move from Jason and Damian.
“Don’t be ridiculous Y/N. You are family to us, so stay,” you heard from Bruce behind you.
“Are you sure Bruce? It’s really fine, I don’t want to be intruding on anything.”
“Absolutely. We wanted you here and that doesn’t change even if Dick is here.”
With that, you lightly dropped your bag to the ground and everyone shuffled towards the dining room, where Alfred had set the table beautifully with glorious amounts of food. Everyone else in the family were already sitting down and waiting patiently as the rest of you filled in the seats. Somehow Dick and you had managed to sit directly across from each other.
Dinner was filled with light conversation as you made sure to avoid Dick’s pleading eyes. You knew if you looked at him, the chance of forgiveness was there despite everything. You knew you would let him talk.
As dinner ended you quickly excused yourself from the table in order to get some fresh air. Whilst it had been nice, the room was chock full of tension despite everyone’s attempts to diffuse it. You stuffed your hands in your back pockets as you stared at the ground, pacing slightly, and breathing in the night air. Your thought were running amok and all of them were revolving around one man that didn’t deserve your thoughts. You were pulled out of your trance by someone speaking behind you.
“Y/N.”
He simply said your name, and yet your heart yearned for so much.
“Dick,” you replied still avoiding his glance.
“Can you at least look at me?”
You stopped your pacing in front of him and dragged your head to look at him in the eyes. His eyes shined with sincerity, regret, and love as the moonlight exaggerated their color.
“You look good,” he trailed off, not knowing exactly what to say.
“Thanks.”
The awkward silence set in as neither of you knew what to say or do. Part of you wanted to yell at him, scream and punch, to get out all the aggression that he left behind. Another wanted to start crying. Another wanted to jump into his arms and forget anything ever changed between the two of you. But the most rational part of you knew it would be best to just let him lead the conversation.
“I’m sorry. I know it’s stupid to apologize because it doesn’t change what I did to you or anything for that matter, but I feel like it’s necessary for me to express how much I regret it Y/N. My god do I regret it. I miss you. I miss everything about you. I can’t tell you enough about how everything has fucking sucked without you.”
You didn’t say anything but nodded your head to let him know that it was okay to continue.
“I wake up in a bed, a room, and an apartment that’s not mine. It’s ours. It doesn’t feel like home without you there. I do the same damn routine every day and all I can think about is you and how I fucked up. I’m not saying that you should forget what I did, but please I’m begging you take me back.”
“I want to know why Dick. Was I not good enough?”
“No Y/N don’t ever say that. I was never good enough for you. You are the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I made stupid decisions and threw it all away. I regret it more than anything.”
You contemplated what he was saying before replying, “how can I even trust you anymore Dick? How do I know that this isn’t going to happen again? You said it yourself, three times. Three times you decided our relationship didn’t mean anything.”
“I know and I can’t change the past, but I can promise the future. I can promise that it won’t happen. I’m not asking you to forget, but please give me a chance to earn back your trust,” Dick said as he took your hands in his.
You had missed the way his hands enveloped yours, always radiating with warmth. Everything in your mind told you to say no, but when you looked at him you knew that you couldn’t. He meant too much for you to just let everything go.
Against your better judgment and with much hesitation you nodded your head and closed your eyes as he pulled you into a hug. You could feel how his heart was pounding, and tears were coming to both of your eyes. You missed how his hugs and what it was like to be near him.
“I can’t move back in yet. I just can’t. And we have to go slow okay? I’m not ready to jump right back in?” you stammered into his chest.
“Take as long as you need. I will be right here waiting for you the entire time.”
After a long while of standing there out in the night, you two returned back to the manor with the tension dissolved. Everyone could feel it when the two of you walked into the house. Within seconds, Jason had Dick pinned to the wall, holding him up by his shirt.
“I swear to God you pull that shit again on Y/N that will be the last thing you do. I will murder you,” Jason threatened.
“Grayson you dare hurt a person as amazing as Y/N, not only are you an imbecile and I will have to kill you, but I will set the entirety of the league on you,” Damian said casually strolling by.
“Just don’t do it again,” Tim threatened whilst looking at Jason and Dick.
“Alfred do you have anything to add?” Jason asked, tightening his grip on Dick.
“Don’t be foolish enough to lose her again. You’re lucky she loves you and gave you a second chance at all.”
“I know. I promise I do.” Dick told everyone as Jason finally let him out of his grip.
“You let me know if he hurts you again,” Jason whispered in your ear whilst pulling you into a hug.
“I will.”
