I made this VW/TC shirt for myself since the FOTB tour is coming up and it turned out really nice! (and Ezra is now pretty much dressing like Lisa in that episode where the Simpsons went to a Cape Cod-ish town anyway so)
(btw if anyone else is interested in having one feel free to let me know!) (*edit- here’s a Google form if anyone wants to be notified when they’re available 🙂: https://goo.gl/forms/Df2wtlanqnZMUQO53 )

Winged Rhynos
————————————————
During either player's turn, when a Trap Card is activated (except during the Damage Step): You can return this face-up card from the field to the hand.
————————————————
Can Be Found In: Force of the Breaker: Special Edition (FOTB-ENSE2), Gold Series 2009 (GLD2-EN015), Battle Pack 2: War of the Giants (BP02-EN051), Battle Pack 3: Monster League (BP03-EN030)
Trap Cards might be a bit predictable due the fact that must be Set first, but that doesn't leave them from being some of the most destructive cards in the game. Although they lost prevalence over the years, there's always a place for some staple choices as well Counter Traps ready to stop the opponent actions or simply protect our field. The majority might be slow or require special conditions to be used, but overall their results compensates their several risks.
"Winged Rhynos" is an evasive monster thanks to its interaction arround Trap Cards. Whne a Trap Card is activated outside Damage Step, in response we can return "Winged Rhynos" before said Trap solves its effect. It might not seem much of an ability at first, but given the fact that many Trap Cards aim to take care of any threats against their user "Winged Rhynos" can escape its own defeat and any other dangers to be summoned again in future turns.
As the Duel progresses "Winged Rhynos" most likely will stay on the hand to become our default Normal Summon, but before and after its effect has plenty of options to work along with. As a Beast-Warrior, "Fire Formation - Tenki" will let us have it ready on hand as soon the Continuous Spell is activated, while "Fire Formation - Tensu" will provide an additional summon to sinergize with "Winged Rhynos" ability. In a similar way "Winged Rhynos" can be summoned along cards like "Tin Goldfish" and Pendulum Summon to work as materials, and in case some Trap activates come back to our hand to be brought later on in the same way. WIND Attribute has some mechanics arround bouncing effects and "Winged Rhynos" is no exception, as with an active "Divine Wind of Mist Valley" we can summon this monster from our Deck in response of a bouncing effect including its own copies.
As long there are some potential Trap Cards on the board, "Winged Rhynos" will use its effect to escape danger and come back later when needed again. Obviously we wanna use this effect against opponent's Trap Cards, often common threats like "Dimensional Prison" or "Bottomless Trap Hole" trying to ruin our field. But also goes for Decks all about Trap Cards in their goals, like Paleozoic and their Trap Monsters or Magical Musketeerrs able to activate Trap Cards from their hand. However, although seems that "Winged Rhynos" efficiency completely relies on the opponent we cannot ignore that its effect can also be used in response of our own Trap Cards. Therefore, if the opponent tries to use attacks or Spell/Monster effects to deal with "Winged Rhynos" we can response with easy to chain cards like "Jar of Greed" and "Compulsory Evacuation Device", or even Continuous Traps like "Call of the Haunted" to bounce it back to our hand. One Trap in particular is "Torrential Tribute", activated in response of an opponent's summon or "Winged Rhynos" itself to clear the board as the latter returns to our hand out of danger. Keep on mind that "Winged Rhynos" effect won't work in response of Counter Traps due their higher priority over all other cards and effects.
"Winged Rhynos" might seem a situational monster due current Decks rarely rely on Trap Cards to have a strong board, yet that doesn't stop it from having plenty of opportunities to stand out and stay active as the Duel progresses. With great support from both Beast-Warrior and WIND options allows "Winged Rhynos" to be a strong offense thanks to its respectable ATK, and with the ability to activate its effect when we use our own Trap Cards gives it some interesting interactions to escape any threats without having to wait for the opponent to do so. It might not stand out compared to many other monsters, yet "Winged Rhynos" is in a great position to have a Deck arround all the support and chainable Trap Cards we can work along with.
Personal Rating: B+
+ Returns to our hand in response of a Trap Card being activated
+ Overall is able to escape all sorts of disruptive effects
+ Greatly supported
+ Can use its effect along our own Trap Cards
- Efficiency might vary of how many Trap Cards the opponent plays with
- Ineffective against Counter Traps
- Might need its own Deck
