Since when have I been thinking of her that way? Ugh, this place loves messing with my head.

*He had multiple questions of his own. And some things that needed addressing. For one thing, his current engagement to Evie, which he wasn't just going to break off because his dead wife reappeared after several thousand years. Especially considering the fact that she wanted to get back to Homebase, and he was NOT going to be able to do that.*

*Both because he was needed here, and because he wasn't certain if the Zero Point would let him stay in another Reality for longer than a few days.*

*But, here he was now. After knocking to make sure he wasn't intruding, he came into the dorm he had been able to get Sarah assigned to.*

Hey Sar. Got a free hour or so, and figured I'd check in on you. How's everything going with you over here?

*Waiting around was grating on her nerves. Everyone was on edge, but nobody would explain why beyond vague mentions of "the Empire". Nobody mentioned anything that made sense, like the Storm or Husks; it was like those didn't even exist here.

Eventually Sarah just shut herself in her room, running over everything she had learned about this place, trying to think of anything that might lead to a way home, and stewing over how long it was taking Jones to come back around.

Well, it had been 17 years. Maybe he was just having a hard time remembering in the middle of all this? He'd never forgotten her before... but it had been a long time...

Still, Sarah jumped up the second she heard Jones knock. Hearing him call her by his nickname for her immediately put her mind at ease. He still remembered. Of course he remembered, he was still her husband.

Stepping aside so Jones could come in, Sarah took the opportunity to hug him before he sat down.*

I'm alright, just thinking. I don't belong out there, so I'm just staying in here thinking and waiting for you. We both have a lot of questions, I'd bet.

It was the early morning hours when Stef was woken up by her racing thoughts. She sat up and looked at the clock, sighing when she saw it wasn't even five in the morning. The blonde got up out of bed, quietly putting on her slippers and going downstairs to make herself a cup of coffee. When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she furrowed her brows at the sight of the kitchen lights on. Who could possibly up at this hour? When the unfamiliar smells of some middle eastern dishes filled her nose, she knew it was Zara. Maybe she was having trouble sleeping, too?

"Morning." Stef said, walking into the kitchen and meeting the teenager's gaze. "What's all this? Couldn't sleep?" She wasn't much to pay attention to calendar dates unless they were important to her, so she wasn't aware that this time of year held any significance. "This all smells amazing. Can I help you with anything?" She asked, trying to be helpful.

They're both extremely social, Ruth being especially high energy, and they are both passionate workaholics that keep busy 24/7. They're good loving moms but you can easily guess why Flea peaced out and decided to go to uni all the way in Vibe City - they can be very intense to live with.

the idea of making Ludovica die for Ear to be adopted is really heartbreakingly sad to me, I suppose because I'm just really tired of seeing women (and especially lesbian) characters killed for the sake of men character's development or happy endings :( but Ear is a sweet little kid... agh I'm so torn. I love Ludovica so much I really hope we can see more of her sometime!

Oh, I think you might've misunderstood something somewhere, or maybe I'm misunderstanding your ask, but Ludovica wouldn't be Ear's mom! They aren't related at all.

Ludovica has her own family and children in the modern au. She's a close friend of Vasco's so if Vasco eventually became a parent she'd be thrilled and eager to offer support.

Headcanons:

Dr. Sarah Foster is a little older now than she appeared in Save The World, and she is a full-fledged marine biologist. Both her legs were amputated below the knee after a Storm accident, and replaced with prosthetics.

From STW we know that she and John Jones were in a very close relationship, and from that I headcanon that she is, in fact, the wife he left behind to protect when the Imagined Order offered him a job and held his family's safety over his head.

From their canon interactions, I got the impression that Jones was much more invested in their relationship than Sarah was. As I investigated, her behaviors seemed to line up with early narcissistic traits, especially her neglect of Jones while soaking up the support and love he gave her in her work.

Despite this, they did have three children, the third a newborn when Jones took the IO job. Jones was promised the ability to come back and be with his family, but didn't know the IO had no intention of keeping that promise. Despite the expectation that both Jones and Sarah had that he would come back, Sarah has made some interesting decisions since then.

John Jones saw her gravestone when he was finally allowed to return. For two and a half thousand years he grieved her as a widower, only recently allowing himself to move on and start a serious relationship with his now-fiancee Evie. This Sarah has been snatched from the timeline before her death, about 17 years after Jones left.

She still wears her wedding ring.

Achilles's boyfriend just so happens to be Zain! Though in Deltarune, Zain would be a shapeshifter who has plant-based magic and abilities <3 He's a flirtatious cowboy who gives so many nicknames and deep-rooted religious trauma, but it's okay, he and Achilles make it work. Achilles is very direct and loyal, and respects Zain's boundaries when it comes to talking about his religion.

I've gotta brainstorm for a more in-depth concept for his Dark World iteration, but I know for sure his ACT would revolve around either shapeshifting or plants. He'd probably have a pacify/sleep-based spell as well.

I think with Felix we should always be sure to apply the Rule Of Adrien, in which we remember that Felix was canonically created specifically to surpass Adrien in every way, and thus does everything Adrien can to a greater extent. As demonstrated in canon-

Adrien's at the top of his class? Felix has already graduated and is in university. Adrien does fencing? Felix is a martial arts expert. Adrien likes horses? Felix owns some, and has won awards for riding and training them. Adrien is in peak human condition? Felix is outright superhuman.

Therefore: Adrien canonically speaks five languages? Felix is obviously fluent in upwards of twenty.

a brief statement on AI

the febuwhump motto is "you can do literally whatever you want, in any medium you want", but in light of last year's whumptober AI issues, and this year's @ailesswhumptober i think it is worth stating that febuwhump heavily discourages AI use in relation to taking part in this event.

AI cannibalises other people's work, usually without permission, and cannot be used without taking part in theft. AI has its uses, and it has so many incredible ones in especially STEM fields, but it has no place in the creative arts, and no place in this creative challenge. and frankly, as i, the admin, work in the field of sustainability, i am inherently opposed to it on several grounds, including but not limited to it's obscene carbon footprint and water waste.

i will not be reblogging any content that i believe is AI-generated, and although i literally cannot stop you from doing whatever you want, claiming participant or completionist badges, and signing up to the hall of fame, understand that febuwhump works on an honour code system, and there is no honour in plagiarism.
