When the Flatiron was built in 1907, at seven stories, it was the tallest building in Fort Worth and north Texas. It was also the first steel-framed building in Fort Worth and had the state's first elevator in an office building. The building's ornamentation includes panther heads, an homage to Fort Worth's nickname: Panther City.

so @thisnameisquitequeer and I were talking as we often do, this time concerning how i still owed another drawing in our 2-2 tie and what the subject of it should be

so somewhere between the topics of "what are fun things in Dallas? does Dallas exist outside of the airport? is Dallas just a lame version of Houston?" and "man, how come everyone is always making our state/province into cowboys when people can't even tell the difference between 'i work on a ranch' outfit and 'western bar date night' outfit let alone the other nuances - like is everyone wearing chaps and spurs to the grocery store???? hello???"

somewhere between those two topics, we came up with the fact that Medieval Times exists in Dallas and thus the request of having them hanging out there was born :) we keep finding new ways to make calvin writhe in jealousy!

i feel like my TRUE dream job would be a tour guide for my home state tbh

i met a tour guide in iceland (and stayed in touch via social media) and i loved how he was excited to show us all some hidden gems and talk about his home country and i’m like... “i want to do something like that for my home state”

but no one ever comes to nebraska!! only to the big cities and leave or worse - just drive thru or fly over the state cause it’s  b o r i n g

OP I’m not sure why you chose to specify Fort Worth as an outlier when speaking as someone who has the misfortune to literally live thirty seconds over this county line between Tarrant and Parker Counties Tarrant is very clearly still blue. Like even if Fort Worth proper isn’t blue the county it is in is

Thinking about how every major city (except fort worth) in Texas is blue, votes democrat in every election, is majority liberal/left-leaning. It's driving me insane okay. The majority of Texans live in or around the major cities. Land does not vote.

75% of Texans live in BLUE!!!

This makes me want to put a toaster in the bath tub okay bye!!!
