When you began to go out with Max Verstappen you anticipated for the news to make the celebrity gossip pages and cause an uproar among his fans. Afterall, it was Max Verstappen – four time world champion - you could hardly believe it yourself!

Miraculously, you and Max dated for six months without any interference from the media. It's not like your relationship was a secret or anything. Like any other couple you went out to the movies and dinned at nice restaurants. But early on in your relationship you discovered Max was a homebody, like you! So as you grew closer most of your time together consisted of hanging out at his apartment or yours watching movies or talking for hours. Still, everyone in your inner circle was astounded at how long you were able to maintain your relationship out of the media's radar.

Once you hit the six-month mark and it became clear to both you and Max that your relationship was serious you had a discussion about how outside discourse from the media would affect your relationship. Although you had only been with Max for six months you had witnessed how invasive fans and the media could be. You constantly saw articles discussing Max's private relationships with his family and his team. Every word, every action, every glance was examined and scrutinized. Max often joked that the more interviews he did the more he wished to move somewhere isolated and live out the rest of his days with you far from the judgment of anyone else. But you knew he loved driving too much to retire so early on in his career even with all of his success.

As always Max was direct, "The media is going to be annoying. They're going to make up the most ridiculous stories you've ever heard. Honestly, the best thing we can do is try ignore them as much as we can." You both agreed, the smartest decision was to take control of the narrative instead of running the risk of having your relationship leaked. So you decided to attend a beginning of the season Redbull event with Max. It was a well documented event and important media figures and photographers would be present. The timing was a bonus. Everyone was focused on the upcoming season and most of their curiosity was concentrated on the new car rather than the personal lives of the drivers. It was a perfect way to debut your relationship to the media.

That night approached quickly, and it would be a lie to say it wasn't one of the most nerve-racking nights of your life. As someone who wasn't famous it was intimidating to be exposed to that world. Luckily, your boyfriend saved you from overthinking. Max was reassuring and attentive the entire night. On the car ride to the event, he made sure to hold your hand and make casual conversation as if it were any other night. He also organized for you guys to enter through the back, away from the paparazzi. Throughout the whole night he barely left your side and when he did he made sure you were comfortable. These small details helped you stay grounded.

Overall, it was a good night. It was nice to finally meet members of the team who had such close bonds with Max. You loved hearing all the stories about Max's victories and his race weekend habits. It was obvious that his team adored him and that only confirmed what you had felt in your heart since the day you first met him -- he was a keeper. You and Max went home confident that you had beaten the media. What could they even say? Max was in a new relationship and he was happy. There was nothing else to it.

Except you made the mistake of glossing over a detail the media would never forget. Before you, Max had only dated women older than him. And you were six years younger than Max.

The next morning you woke up with a new identity. Max Verstappen's controversially young girlfriend.

new year’s day, oscar piastri

note: a little blurb to welcome the new year! happy 1st of january guys, i hope your hangover isn’t too bad… thank you all so much for being a part of my 2024 <33 i can feel that 2025 is gonna be our year!

the first thing you feel when you wake is the urge to groan. your entire body feels mushy and wrong and your head aches terribly.

the sound almost leaves your lips, but then you feel the warm, bare chest beneath your cheek.

it rises and falls steadily, almost lulling you back to sleep as your eyes glib sleepily against the light in the room.

“are you awake, baby?” the chest beneath your cheek rumble as your boyfriend gruffly speaks.

“mhmm, no,” you mumble into his bare skin, snuggling into the muscle to hide yourself from the light. “‘don’t wanna move.”

“i have to pee, baby.” oscar laughs at your form, gently trying to remove himself from your grip.

“no.” you drag out the word, your fingers numbly digging into his back to keep him with you. “don’t leave me.”

he laughs again, the sound melodic even in your pounding head. “i’m sorry…” he ignores your protests and slip out from beneath you, hissing when his bare feet hit the cold floor.

as you lie back, you take a moment to admire your boyfriends body from the back. he’s only wearing a pair of black boxers, so his back muscles and thighs were on full display for your hungry eyes, but as the bathroom door closes behind him, you sigh loudly.

sitting up in bed, you take a moment to take in your surroundings. you’re only wearing underpants and a big t-shirt belonging to the boy in the bathroom. your hair is a mess, and your hand gets stuck when you try to run it through knots.

the bedroom door is wide open, and a trail of glitter leads from the doorway to your bedside. just outside, you spot your silver heals laying in a heap with your glittery clutch and the mini dress you had worn yesterday.

you almost sigh audibly again when you slowly stand from the warm bed, walking to the door to lean against the wall. there, you spot the mess left behind by the party you had thrown with your friends just hours before.

confetti covered every possible surface and the floor was littered with empty bottles and crushed crisps. dirty dishes lined the kitchen counter and the thought alone of all the cleaning you would have to do was enough to almost send you back to bed.

but as the overwhelming thoughts start to envelope you, a warm hand encircles your waist and a chin rests on your shoulder.

“we’ll figure it out, baby.” he reads your thoughts immediately as he moves to give you a real hug from behind. “we’ll figure it out together, baby.”

at his words you smile. never before had you had such a perfect boyfriend. someone who not only wanted your exciting midnights, but also the tired new year’s day the morning after.

Another day in District 12 seeing whose going to be reaped for the Red Bull seat

hope we all know that this isn't just any paul aron who we're gonna see as the f1 reserve next year…

it's the paul who's been in love with racing ever since he was a baby, who wanted to race just so he could grow up to be like his brother. the paul who travels around to support his brother or his team even when he's got a weekend off.

it's the paul who finished third in his first-ever season of formula 3, who was in the fight for the title up until the last round (and would've had a much better chance if not for the team's mistake in spa).

it's the paul who fit so well into the mercedes profile, who expressed his gratitude to the team and their work whenever he could, who fought so hard to make them proud.

it's the paul who was always going to be put behind kimi in toto wolff's eyes, no matter how well he performed.

it's the paul who had to leave everything he had grown up with, his team of many years, his close friends and staff members, and move on. who had to let go of everything he knew from before and go alone.

it's the paul who went into his first full formula 2 season with hopes and dreams instead of expectations; who said he was there to learn and grow, and then he would see where that would take him.

it's the paul who failed to get into the top ten in qualifying for the first round of the 2024 season, but still managed a p5 in the sprint – and a podium in the feature, despite a time penalty, and got to celebrate in parc ferme with his brother and trainer.

it's the paul who, as a rookie, went onto the podium every round in the first seven rounds. who's been consistent like few others in a series (and team) known for its inconsistency.

it's the paul who never forgets to credit and thank his family, team and trainer, acknowledging that every success is thanks to a team effort – and that even if things don't go as well as planned, the team still did their best to help him out.

it's the paul who thanks to his determination and hard work managed to impress his f2 team principal, oliver oakes, so much that the latter thought "i need this guy on my team" when he became the alpine f1 principal.

it's the paul who fights every setback with an attitude of revenge instead of hopelessness; despite everything he's been through, he never gives up. he wants to prove everyone wrong.

it's the paul who turns every heartbreak – from mechanical failures to tactical missteps – into fuel for his fire. it's the paul who reminds us that success isn't a straight line; success is the product of unwavering determination and the courage to keep going.

it's a paul who's learned so much, grown so much stronger; who's been through so many hardships and said "you know what? i'm going to learn from this and come out stronger on the other side", and that's exactly what he did. i'm so proud to have gotten to follow him on this journey, and i can't wait to see where this next chapter of his life will lead him.
