On daemons and (roughly three and a half) Empires

-Pixlriffs is immortal, because we love that headcanon here. This has interesting effects on his daemon, Winchester. Originally an indigo bunting, a symbol of wisdom turned inward, according to one google search. As implied, though, Winchester is very much not an indigo bunting anymore. When your alive for a good ten centuries, give or take, you change. Several wise people once said something along the lines of, ‘You are a mosaic of everyone you have loved’, and that influence becomes clear when you’ve been around and met and loved enough people to start visibly changing your soul. Lighter blue feathers, a few inches here and there. A larger, more curved beak and smaller wings. A creature lost to time, as Winchester and Pix both very much are, as well as a patchwork of hundreds of thousands of other people.

-Jimmy’s soul used to be a canary, an omen of death permanently stitched into his heart. She changed when he changed, though. A strong and powerful golden eagle, not a creature to be taken lightly. And maybe, it was a bit convenient too, being small enough to cling to her feathers and fly, or get snatched up in her talons if they need a quick getaway. (With all the jokes of being a toy, and quite literally shrinking into one at the will of a god, Jimmy would die before sharing that his daemon was named Jessie.)

-Joel’s odd cloud moose is probably the least inconspicuous daemon. And you never forget the sight of a flying moose, once you’ve seen her floating along with him. She is elegant everywhere he is clumsy, compassionate when he shows no mercy. Their humor is exactly the same though, and their differences bring up the question: how much of him is a facade, how much of his actions are just for show?

-Scott’s daemon is… completely expected. Of course she’d be a llama, and of course her pristine wool would be stained by any number of colors on most days. For a good long while, though, Scott had everyone convinced she was actually magical, and could change colors like a chameleon. It only took a little bribing, in order to get the local witch to help with some special effects, really cementing Arcus’s supposed chameleon wool from fiction to ‘fact’.

A legendary fine norn ask game

1. How are they building their legend? What do they want it to be? Are they being successful? What's their greatest achievement? Do they really care for it?

2. How do they feel about norn society's expectations and traditions? Are they comfortable in norn society? Is there anything they wish was different?

4. Where are they from? Were they born in Hoelbrak, in one of the many homesteads and villages, or somewhere not in the Shiverpeaks? Did they like the place? Did they travel often or stayed long in the same place?

5. Which Spirit of the Wild do they have a connection to? How was the connection forged? How does their Spirit influence them? What do they think of their Spirit? Do they revere any other Spirit?

6. Can they shapeshift into Spirit Form? What does it look like? Can they do only one kind or more? Is there anything unique to it? If they can't, what's the reason behind it?

7. What are their thoughts on Jormag and the Sons of Svanir? Have they ever had to deal with either directly?

8. Are they a good hunter? Do they like it or is it just out of necessity? What's their most impressive prey? Do they keep trophies from their hunts? Do they prefer to hunt alone or with others? What weapons do they use, if any? Have they ever taken part in a Great Hunt?

9. Do they enjoy moots? What's their favorite part? Is there anything they don't like? Was one ever thrown in their honor?

10. Did anyone mentor them or did they learn things by themselves? Would they have wanted a teacher or a different one? Was there something they wished someone had taught them before they had to learn by themselves?

11. Do they have a job/occupation? Did they ever change it? Are they happy with it?

12. Are they close with anyone or do they keep everyone at arm's length? Do they make more enemies/rivals or friends? Are they involved in any drama? Do they have any meaningful friendship or bond?

13. Do/did they have a pet or a companion of sorts? If not, would they want one?

14. Do they have any heirlooms? Are there legends behind them or do they only have sentimental value? Or did they earn/find someone else's?

in any human GerIta AU, DA ONLY WAY I can think of these two meeting is in central Berlin, early December, around 23pm on a Wednesday or Thursday…. Feliciano is on his way home from having a glass of wine with his friends at a bar, he’s in a good mood and despite the cold he’s wearing his long winter coat unbuttoned… he’s swaying on the sidewalk and suddenly slips and falls, despite the circumstances rather gracefully. Ludwig, the stranger closest to Feliciano, decides to step in and help the guy, simply bc Ludwig is a nice man and not at all bc Feliciano is hawt and sexy and looks like his wet dreams from high school (and also NOT AT ALL. bc Ludwig’s brain has been conditioned into thinking he only has value when serving others). Anyway, despite Ludwig’s help, Feliciano CANNOT get his balance locked in and keeps slipping in Ludwig’s arms, despite Ludwig having a literal iron grip on him ……. alas Feliciano ends up piggy back riding Ludwig, across frosty cobblestone streets lit up by Christmas lights strung between buildings where the windowsills r covered with snow and decorated with greenery ……. n the night is deep and blue and LOVE is in da air …… and from a bar, half empty save the middle aged regulars, u can hear smooth jazz as Feliciano drunkenly points out the directions of his apartment. Anyway this works for literally almost all time periods and I will NOT take any criticism . Talk to the hand this is how they meet as humans

Other reasons Wyll having devil wings would both rule and make sense as a punishment (and why he should have them for me, specifically):

It'd be impossible to pass him off as a weird looking tiefling/he's more obviously fiendish

Maybe even requiring Disguise or Charisma checks at some points of the game to bring Wyll with you?

Hotter? Somehow??? Turns out Wyll can get even hotter

More visually evocative of devils like Mizora and Raphael whose insincerity and "help" contrasts Wyll's sincerity and genuine kindness

But also wings look very noble. Regal, even. It fits Wyll's prince charming aesthetic

Especially contrasts with Raphael's whole farce

Very visible. Can be seen from a distance. Hard to hide

He'd have to alter all his clothes (a pain!)

An excuse for a shirtless Wyll scene? Mayhaps

Bulky. Constantly getting in the way and knocking things over

He'd probably need a bigger tent as well

Sitting or lying down comfortably is even harder than if it were just the horns

Aylin can dismiss her wings at her convenience. Wyll cannot. He'd be stuck with them all the time

Imagine the horror of suddenly sprouting two extra limbs against your will

Using them to shield people

Using them as an umbrella from the rain/sun for a lover/friend like a gentleman (especially for Astarion)

Wrapping whoever he's cuddling or hugging with his wings

As Aylin has shown wings are peak romance. Wyll is a romance guy

Also Aylin-Wyll parallels more visually obvious?!

Wings evoke the idea of a cape. Capes are very heroic

Perhaps he can't fly at first (that'd be OP) but maybe around Act 2 he can glide?

At level 11 or 12 he learns to fly with them or maybe as a character event in Act 3

This would also be around the time Wyll can be freed of his pact(or not) so… symbolism!

Mizora isn't expecting him to escape his contract so his punishment both isolating and making him more useful fits

Plus a punishment that also doubles as a "gift" would fit her vibe. "But I'm so good to you Wyll! Look at the wings I gave you to help you be a hero better even though it was a horrific violation of your bodily autonomy! You owe me!"

Also wings look like a reward instead of a punishment to outsiders, even if Wyll tries to explain. "You did something presumably evil to be rewarded with cool wings by your devil patron" is much more damning and more believable than the truth

Mizora becomes even more insidious and smart in her abuse of Wyll as a result which makes her a more effective villain

Tadpole also nerfed him so Mizora's got to keep her pet warlock alive somehow

Winged but caged symbolism! Wings as ironic symbols of bondage! Wings of bondage reclaimed as symbols of freedom!

Kids would probably think Wyll was even cooler somehow with wings and that'd be cute

I think Wyll specifically would fucking love the freedom of flight. This man would love jumping off cliffs

This episode of house was incredible. Weird symptoms, no one puked blood, no lombar punction. Cameron anally torturing a patient on purpose. Lesbian couple. The bubonic plague. The tension in this episode was that the sick lesbian was planning to dump her gf but was waiting until after she took half her liver in a transplant to tell her. And then it was all tragic, the healthy gf thinking they're gonna grow old together but actually she was gonna get dumped.

BUT UH-OH PLOT TWIST! She knew she was gonna get dumped but donated the liver so her girlfriend can never leave her out of guilt. 10/10. Best episode so far
