Emma and Ethan sentences!! Go!! 😤👀
EHEHEHEHEHEHE I had just finished some so I shall count it.
-
“Okay… okay,” Ethan says, mind clearly going a mile a minute. “Take her and find a car.”
“What, no,” Simon says as Ethan starts to stand up. He grabs Ethan and pulls him back behind cover. “They’re fucking looking for you, Ethan. There are cameras all the fuck over this place—”
“Yeah, I know,” Ethan says. “I’m going to cause a distraction, lead them away. You take Emma and get her out of here. I’ll find you.”
“Do I get a say in this?” Emma asks, voice cracking. Simon glances at her—she’s furious, scowling; he recognizes that look, that’s the look she was wearing before she ran the fuck away in the middle of a train depot in Russia—
Not the time. He turns back to Ethan. “They know what we look like, too,” he hisses. “What are you going to do, stand in the street and yell at them until they see you, and then run?”
“I don’t think you want me to answer that question,” Ethan hedges.
“Ethan.”
“I’ll be fine,” Ethan says. “Get her to safety, I’ll find you.”
“We’re not just going to let you run into the middle of people shooting at you,” Emma snaps. “Are you insane?”
Ethan looks over Simon’s shoulder and grins. “There have been reports,” he says, and then slips out of his jacket sleeves, leaving Simon holding it, and is gone before Simon can say anything.
“Fuck,” Simon says, with feeling, and reaches up to rip his wig off, shrugging out of his own coat as he goes.
“What is he—what are you doing?” Emma snaps, wringing her hands.
“If I’m getting a car, they’re going to be able to see me driving,” Simon says grimly. “They’ve seen this get-up; we’ll be safer if I look different.” He shrugs on Ethan’s jacket, hauls out a makeup wipe and scrubs at his face, double checks in the reflection of the metal forklift behind him—good enough. He flips his coat inside out and hands it to Emma. “Put that on,” he says, “and keep your head down when we run. If we get outside and blend into the crowd, we’ll be able to at least get to a car.”
“You’re just going to leave him?” Emma asks, fire in her eyes and jaw set to furious, and—oh, he thinks. Yeah, he remembers why he liked her so much now. “He saved my life?”
“Of course I’m not going to leave him,” Simon says. “We’re getting a car, and then we’re coming back for him. But I can’t do that if we’re trapped in this fucking warehouse while he gets shot, Emma, so we need to move. Now.”
Emma blinks at him, mouth hanging open. They stare at each other for a heartbeat, and then another.
“Right,” Emma says, and snatches Simon’s coat, shrugging it on. “Okay. Car, and we come back for him.”
“Car, and we come back for him,” Simon agrees. He checks sightlines—it is what it is. “Keep your head down, and that collar pulled up over your face, and then stay low in the car.”
“Ready?”
“Ready,” Emma says. She holds out her hand.
Simon takes it—just like old times—and they move.

Optimizing Ergonomics and Preventing Forklift Accidents through Computer Vision
The most revolutionary innovation in today's fast-moving world is computer vision, which is changing how businesses approach workplace safety, especially in high-risk sectors such as manufacturing, construction, and logistics.
Tumblr media
Two important application areas within this revolution are computer vision in ergonomic audit and computer vision for forklift safety. These advancements, over and above saving time in preventing injuries, directly result in operational efficiency, thereby saving costs and creating a better bottom line over the longer term. In this blog, you will get up close and understand how computer vision is revolutionising safety protocols in industries.
The Strength of Computer Vision in Ergonomics
Ergonomics is the science or art of designing jobs, workplaces, and objects so that they fit the human body's physical capabilities. In physical strain and repetitive industry operations, such as manufacturing and construction or mining, ergonomics could play a vital role in maintaining health and preventing injury.
The most common injury among employees of these industries is MSD. These injuries take the form of musculoskeletal disorders that are triggered by poor posture in performance, repetitive movements, and forceful exertions. They affect the health of employees as well as the productivity of the companies. Back injuries, shoulder injuries, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are, for example, under those criteria.
This is where computer vision of ergonomics can be applied. Typical ergonomic assessments are cumbersome and rife with human error because they rely on the direct observation of human movements among workers. However, the whole process assumes a different look using technology like computer vision since this process becomes more accurate and efficient. AI-equipped cameras and advanced video analytics help firms evaluate workers' posture and movement in real time while automatically identifying ergonomic hazards such as awkward posture, force, and repetition.
This is not just a policy to make the workplace safer but also a drive for continuous improvement. This gives the workers real-time feedback that, in turn, makes them take safer practices that will eventually reduce the risks associated with injuries and improve productivity.
Prevention of Forklift Accidents using Computer Vision
Industrial settings can be severely affected by forklift accidents. After all, the movement of substantial machinery and large loads in confined areas provides enough chances for accidents to occur. However, computer vision for forklift safety is changing the way businesses manage and monitor these vehicles for safer and more efficient work sites.
Forklifts are critically important in material handling in the manufacturing, logistics, and construction sectors. The poor use of forklifts and hazardous conditions often mean disaster in such sectors. Reports by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration stipulate that most yearly workplace injuries are caused by accidents involving forklifts. Such a trend becomes even more applicable if one considers the construction or warehouse activities of a country like Qatar or Dubai.
Computer vision in forklift safety tracks the movement of forklift operators and machines in real-time, including location information, speed metrics, and sometimes how they interact with obstacles.
The system will continuously monitor the environment and will be sensitive to all risks, whether pedestrians invade the forklift's path, use unsafe speeds, or use the wrong way.
Imagine a warehouse in Singapore in which lots and lots of materials are moving in and out. That means that using computer vision technology, the system will alert operators when they get too close to a person or an obstacle so that possible collisions can be avoided. It can also flag situations outside of the safe parameters of the forklift, such as moving too fast in congested areas.
How AI and Smart Machines Improve Efficiency and Profitability
Even slight degrees of progress in the areas of safety can significantly enhance efficiency and profitability for companies that are heavy on manual labour and heavy equipment. Systems such as computer vision in ergonomic assessments and computer vision for forklift safety help minimise the occurrence of accidents and injuries while reducing workman's compensation claims and lost productive hours, leading directly to a safer, more productive working environment.
The same case applies to the application of computer vision in ensuring the safety of forklift operations; such operations are much smoother with little disturbances.
Although implementing AI systems into the workflows of companies helps them enhance safety, they also gain crucial insight into operational inefficiencies, thereby allowing them to look at the work processes conducted by employees, adjust the levels of staff, and enhance training programs so that better stability and profitability can be recorded overall.
Advantages of Computer Vision in the Current Workplace
Here is a summary of the benefits for industries in Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi through computer vision technology:
Increased safety: Since it monitors workers' postures and movements together with the environment in real time, it can notice a risk before an accident occurs.
Enhanced productivity: Saves time by automatically performing the task or assessment, thus allowing the firm to intervene more proactively instead of waiting for accidents to happen.
Reduced Costs: Accident and injury prevention help get rid of workman's compensation claims, increases in insurance premiums, and expensive downtime.
Conclusion
Computer vision in ergonomic assessments and computer vision for forklift safety are both powerful tools for injury prevention, operational optimisation, and profitability increase.
Companies that make use of AI-powered systems cannot only bring safety to the workplace but can ensure longer periods of growth, stability, and prosperity. These investments in technologies are investments in employee well-being as well as in operational excellence.

The Future of Ergonomics: AI and Machine Learning in Ergonomics Software
In recent years, ergonomic tools have played an essential role in keeping a workplace safe and productive by ensuring workers can go about their work efficiently without any form of injury. Just like the specific industries do evolve with time, so does the science that backs ergonomic interventions. With the coming of Ergonomics Software, businesses can today leverage AI and ML to better develop their approaches to workplace safety and productivity. These new technologies are going to define the future of ergonomics with software that finds risks but also offers solutions in real-time, thereby reducing human error to a significantly low level.
Tumblr media
The Role of AI in Ergonomics Software
AI in modern Ergonomics Software is transformative in the sense that it processes data much more extensively than traditional systems. With tremendous amounts of data in the workplace, this AI-powered software can identify repetitive motions, poor posture, and other hazardous environments much faster than any human observer. Hence, businesses will place corrective measures on time and minimize injury risks, furthering holistic improvement in the workplace.
For instance, in the industrial environment, AI can monitor employees through cameras or wearable devices, looking at body movements and identifying dangerous positions or repeated strain that may lead to MSDs. This is how AI is applied in the manufacturing industry, as demonstrated by viAct's AI-based systems monitoring real-time activities in safety as well as efficiency with more than 90% accuracy.
Machine Learning and Predictive Analytics
Taking the technology one step ahead is the inclusion of machine learning (ML) in Ergonomics Software, where the system "learns" from past data. The predictive power of machine learning models allows them to forecast possible ergonomic risks by analyzing past patterns and trends. This predictive ability prevents many injuries from occurring before the event, making the workplace proactive about safety concerns.
For instance, in construction or car manufacturing, involving much repetitive physical work, such software based on ML can predict at what time a worker is more likely to expose himself to strain injuries. Just as in the case of how viAct's AI modules analyze job site data to avoid accidents, ergonomic software assesses posture, force, and motion constantly so that workers are upholding safety standards in real-time.
Real-Time Alerts and Solutions
One of the greatest benefits of AI and ML in Ergonomics Software relates to the real-time alert. Contemporary systems can monitor the posturing and motion of the worker and instantly notify the employee and management if a hazardous action is identified. Such a real-time feedback loop provides for prompt intervention, thereby avoiding injuries that might result from poor ergonomics.
Similarly, regarding how viAct AI monitors forklift operations and raises alerts with the operators when unsafe practice occurs, the Ergonomics Software using AI can alert the workers as to when they should alter their position or time to take a break in order not to experience strain. It fosters proactive measures of safety rather than reactive.
The Future of AI in Ergonomics
In the future, AI and ML will strongly transform Ergonomics Software. This area of very highly personal ergonomic solutions will be one of the growth areas. The more data that is collected about an individual worker, the more AI can tailor their recommendations to adjustments for meeting the specific needs of a particular employee. This may be as diverse as suggesting ideal chair height to prescribing personalized exercise regimens for improving posture and preventing injury.
The near future would most likely include the integration of wearable technology into Ergonomics Software. Wearables, for instance, include smartwatches or fitness trackers that have gathered valuable health-related data. But when they combine their collected data with AI, they may come up with even more accurate and actionable insights. This integration of technologies would allow ergonomic systems to monitor workers 24/7-giving real-time feedback and predicting possible problems even before they manifest physically.
Conclusion
The prospects of ergonomics will certainly shine bright as the power of AI and machine learning drives it. Changes witnessed in viAct's AI-driven solutions for manufacturing and others reveal exactly how these technologies have revolutionized things such as safety, efficiency, and productivity. For businesses that want to be ahead of the curve, using AI-powered Ergonomics Software isn't so much of an option but a requirement. These systems will provide accuracy, proactive injury prevention, and flexibility in scale that will position them as the most valuable tool for any industry working to maintain a safe, efficient workplace.
