Monday's Topic for group discussion in "Group of Forensic Experts" was- 👉Gait Pattern 👉-- Vishal Khandelwal stated that "Gait pattern is a way of walk. On the basis of gait pattern we examine the velocity, force, changes in the the contact with the surface." ---------- --"Gait is a behavioral biometric source that can be acquired at a distance. Gait recognition is the term typically used in the computer community to refer to the automatic extraction of visual cues that characterize the motion of a walking person in video and is used for identification purposes in surveillance systems. The gait cycle is used to describe the complex activity of walking, or our gait pattern. This cycle describes the motions from initial placement of the supporting heel on the ground to when the same heel contacts the ground for a second time. The gait cycle (GC) in its simplest form is comprised of stance and swing phases." ----------- --👣#FOOTPRINT👞 👣Bare footprint or Impression and shoeprint or impression is generally known as Footprint. 👞They may be caused by bare foot, or may be left by footwear. These prints known as footwear prints. 🔦The value of such evidence will however proportionate to the points of identification, which can be demonstrated. It is the characteristics that are unique in shape and detail, which must be looked for and studied. for more about Gait Pattern and Footprint watch this video:- https://youtu.be/AJzIqOjNHI4 or Read about it:- https://forensicfield.blog/2019/01/20/footprints/ 🚶In this video/blog following topics have discussed: 👣 Introduction of Footprint; 👣 Places where footprints can be found; 👣 Location of Footprints; 👣 Preservation; 👣 Collection Of Footprints; 👣 Preparation of plaster; 👣 Collection of comparison print; 👣 Identification characteristics; 👣 Khoji System of Identification. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- #forensic #forensics #forensicfield #forensicscience #forensicworld #forensicfield #forensicinfo #biometrics #gaitpattern #footprint #physicalevidences #evidences #forensicinfo #forensicknowledge #knowledge #fact #biometrics #forensicintro #crime #crimescene #legal https://www.instagram.com/p/B1p9D87hygM/?igshid=19hcldr1d7xvi

Question- What is Rapid DNA Tests? Answer- Rapid DNA testing is an automated process of quickly creating a DNA profile from a cheek swab sample without any human intervention. Whether the DNA belongs to a deceased victim or a suspect, rapid testing moves the process of solving crime along faster than ever before. In fact, according to the International Biometrics and Identity Association (IBIA) DNA profiles can be available in 75 to 90 minutes. This is especially important considering most suspects are only held for as little as two hours. Rapid DNA testing is proving useful in solving cold cases, as well. The FBI’s Rapid DNA initiative aims search high profile unsolved crimes while a qualifying suspect is processed at a detention center. Pilot testing of this system is set to start in 2019. It can also help verify kinship. According to the Department of Homeland Security, “Additional applications with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) are being pursued to counter human trafficking, identify mass casualty victims and to reunite family members.” Before Rapid DNA, results from labs could take up to eight months to get back and required multiple expensive instruments and trained technicians. Rapid DNA makes this process faster and cheaper. Using only a desktop unit that is easily operated, law enforcement offers can still rely on the results. Question- What are Palm Prints and what are the uses of it in forensic Science? Answer- A palm print refers to an image acquired of the palm region of the hand. The palm itself consists of principal lines, wrinkles (secondary lines), and epidermal ridges which make them as unique as fingerprints. Uses::- Palm prints can be used for criminal, forensic. Palm prints, typically made from the butt of the palm. That are often found at crime scenes as the result of the offender's gloves slipping during the commission of the crime, and thus exposing part of the unprotected hand. ☠ 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 👉 ☣ Scientific American once humorously defined a poison as:- “Any substance in relatively small quantities that can cause death or illness in living organisms by chemical action. The qualification ‘by chemical action’ is necessary because it rules out such effects as those produced by a small quantity of lead entering the body at high velocity.” ☣ “Any substance, either taken internally or applied extrnally, that is njurious to health or dangerous to life.” (Stedman’s Medical Dictionary, 27th ed., 2000, p. 1416) ☣ “Any substance that, when relatively small amounts are injested, inhaled, or absorbed, or applied to, injected into, or developed within the body, has chemical action that causes damage to structure or disturbance of function, producing symptoms, illness, or death.” (Dorland’ Illustrated Medical Dictionary, 29th ed., 2000, p. 1422) ☣ Famous British toxicologist Alfred Swaine Taylor, MD (1806–1880) wrote: “A poison in a small dose is a medicine, and a medicine in a large dose is a poison.” (Taylor, 1859, p. 2) Know more about Toxicology :- http://forensicfield.blog/2019/04/27/forensic-toxicology/ https://youtu.be/uV-jQiQHcio ------------------------------ #criminalistic #criminology #poisons #toxics #Toxic #toxicity #forensictoxicology #forensic #forensicscience #forensic #forensics #forensicmedicine #posioning #forensiccriminology #forensicquotes #forensic #forensicbooks #forensicfield #forensicinfo #forensicintro #poisondefinition https://www.instagram.com/p/B26mrrvBsWZ/?igshid=1u4jhc4azhltb
