Hi I know it hasn’t even been 24 hours but uhh I did a thing and I think it’s funny.

“Choose…” The subtle manical laughter that accompanied the demand echoed across the ship.

“Choose?” Penelope asked.

Hera’s smirk widened. She placed her hands on Penelope, locking her head and shoulders in her mighty hands, and forced her gaze to meet that of her terrified crew’s.

“Someone’s has to die today and you have got the final say,” Hera explained. She applied more pressure onto Penelope’s shoulders, a representation of the choice she had to make. “You…or your crew?”

Penelope stood silently. Hera’s royal, powerful presence toured above the battered, mere mortal queen. Ctimene couldn’t believe her eyes. All she could wonder was what type of thoughts were running through Penelope’s mind.

Penelope opened her mouth, but Ctimene spoke before she could. “It’s okay…we know, Penelope.” If Ctimene was being honest with herself, it wasn’t okay. But the distress on Penelope’s face was hard to bear.

“Ctimene…” Penelope started. She was shocked, shocked at how quickly Ctimene had submitted herself to giving up. “I…” She cleared her throat. “Ctimene, do you remember when I said there was no length I wouldn’t go to save you? Well, I wasn’t kidding.”

A puzzled, almost angry expression appeared on Ctimene’s face. “What?” she asked.

Penelope maneuvered herself out of Hera’s grasp, bearing a clever, charming grin. “There are other ways of persuasion. There are other modes of control~”

Hera watched, equally confused, as this puny, broken mortal started to talk in a sultry voice. She couldn’t explain it, but she wasn’t finding herself to be too insulted right now.

Ctimene watched in HORROR as Penelope began to seduce the Queen of the Gods. The goddess of MARRIAGE no less. WHY WASN’T SHE BEING STRUCK DOWN?!

“What are you—”

“—Don’t. I think it’s working,” Petra said. “Plus, this is looking good.”

Ctimene’s horror increased tenfold. She walked away, unable to watch. “Should’ve just sacrificed us for gods’ sake,” she mumbled incredulously.
