Buck + ferry ⛴️ flowers 💐 firetruck 🚒
Tagging: @kmc1989 @mckinleysbones @sophiah2253 @qutequeersstuff @gatefleet
Buck meets you at Catalina Island during a call out. You’re dangling from a top rope halfway down a cliff face, rendering first aid to another climber, whose hanging 50 feet up in the air after knocking himself unconscious. It takes them a while to get down to you, they’ve come by air rescue because the fire truck can’t make the ferry trip to the island. They have to find the right anchor points to rappel down safely, bringing their kit and a backboard with them.
He can tell you’re on the job from the way you relay the information regarding the other Luis, the other climber’s condition. You use the same terminology, talk in a calm precise manner and you’re not squeamish, especially not about the bone that’s sticking out of the guy’s arm.
“They’ll get him down and then I’ll clip you in with me, the two of us we’ll go down together ok?” He says to you as Eddie and Chim begin to guide Luis’s form further down the cliff face.
“Honey,” You drawl, fixing him with a shrewd stare. “Trust me, I’m perfectly capable of finding my own way down.”
Honey…
For some reason the term makes Buck’s cheeks color.
As you start the descent it becomes clear to him that you’re a skilled climber, your movements are smooth, careful and in coordination with his own. The two of you set a quick pace as you abseil down the cliff. If it were any other circumstance he’d probably find it fun, but Luis has just woken up and he’s screaming blue murder because he’s just realised his forearm looks like something out of a gore movie.
“You’re one of us aren’t you.” He says when you both reach the bottom and you give him a quizzical look as you unclip the carabiner from your rope. “A firefighter?”
“Mountain rescue.” You tell him loosening the harness around your waist. “I usually work out of the national park. Today’s my day off, I thought I’d get some time in on a different rockface so I came out here to the island and then-” You gesture to Luis, shaking your head. “- your guy over there ends up bashing himself on a couple of boulders trying to get a picture with those flowers sticking out for the ‘gram.”
He's about to respond when Bobby calls out to him, he turns his head to acknowledge the words and by the time he turns back you’re already walking away to pack up your kit. He guesses you won’t be doing much more climbing today.
He can’t stop thinking about you on the way back, he takes out his phone and Googles the Los Angeles Mountain Rescue website, he finds your name on the Team Section. He spends the rest of the shift going through your Instagram feed, scrolling through your pictures, getting a sense of the person you are.
Fun, adventurous, a little wild, a little soft.
All traits that appeal to Buck in a partner.
“Are you gonna keep cyber stalking her?” Chimney asks as he drops down on the couch alongside him. “Or are you actually gonna do something about it?”
Sliding into your DMs reminds him of his dating app days and Buck, he’s not looking for something casual, he wants to settle down, experience something real.
It’s a few days later that you run into each other, literally. He’s grabbing a smoothie order for the firehouse when he collides with you in the doorway, he’s skimming through your feed again, whilst you have your eyes fixed firmly on your own screen. He apologises as he knocks the phone out of your hand, bending down to pick it up and that’s when he sees it. His profile live on your screen. It looks like he’s not the only one that’s been doing a little cyber stalking.
“I didn’t get a chance to introduce myself the other day.” He says as he hands the phone back to you. “I’m Buck.”

OOOH I love this so much I am TIRED so I might not be coherent but here goes anyway
So Phil IS nobility, casting is commonplace, and Phil’s parents are shit. Good to know good to know
I’m really feeling that Phil’s magic is wrong somehow- either nonexistent or dangerous or even just unpredictable. If he couldn’t control it, that would explain the “can’t behave himself comments”, but if it was nonexistent that could explain the “stupid” comments. I need more cluessssss
Okay so techno IS breaking society’s rules in a way that would get him chased out of settlements- and what was that about a response Techno was not “supposed to be able to pick up on”?? It’s giving telepath or empath, and I feel like Chat might have something to do with it. Interesting, very interesting. It’s the same sentiment Techno echoed of the sleep spell, so I’m wondering if the restrictions on the two different things are connected somehow
Either Phil is infamous in this oasis or they’re extreme xenophobes- or maybe it’s just something about techno specifically? Perhaps all three- which would make sense, considering most settlements are supposedly tightly knit, and we know Phil really wanted to Get Out. Plus it’s already been established that Techno dresses differently. The fact is not lost on me that techno rides a horse while everyone else has camels- I wonder if that’s anything important
Technos whole thing is giving kinda horcrux vibes? In that it’s like using normal magic but in dark and dangerous ways, making him an outcast. I’m expecting some dark backstory to start creeping in- perhaps explaining the origin of Chat
Why would Phil be chats problem? What did chat notice about him during the ride? WHAT DOES CHAT KNOW???
Every new chapter of this fic gets me obsessed all over again, the writing is just so eloquent and captivating, well done as always!!

‘When he went away The blues walked in and met me Oh, yeah if he stays away Old rocking chair’s gonna get me All I do is pray...’
You sway to the melody as you wipe dry the last plate. You set it in the rack as Etta James’ soulful crooning wafts around the kitchen. Just the simple task of washing the dishes has you out of breath. You can no longer hum along as you’re suddenly light headed with sweat speckled across your brow. Even the breeze drifting in through the open window can’t cool the constant heat brewing within you.
You brace your lower back as you reach for the dish towel and pop open the cupboard. The music drones to silence as the next some in queue loads. Your rounded stomach presses to the counter as you take a mug and dry it inside and out. Strange, you don’t remember the song starting like that; the strange warbling noise much unlike Marvin Gaye’s rich tones.
You set the mug on the shelf and back up. Another noise peaks your attention, too tinny to be a snare. You rub your stomach mindlessly as you sling the cloth over your shoulder. You waddle across the tile to the folding table beneath the window. You tap pause on your phone and the bluetooth speaker goes silent.
Your fingers pick the damp fabric away from your bump. These days you can’t avoid getting soaked. Even as you can’t forget about the burden of your condition, you’re still oblivious to how it gets in the way until it does. You sigh as you listen for another clue.
A pained deep grunt floats up from below. Distant but decisive, another rustle beneath the unexpected noise. You lean over the table, a hand on the ledge as you push the pane higher. You bend, stomach pressed to the speaker, and peer down. You expect another dumpster diver searching for empties to trade in; rather you meet a most unexpected sight.
There is a man in the dumpster, alright, but he isn’t moving. From there, you can’t see very clearly. You squint at the figure strewn among the trash but the zigzag of the fire escape obscures your eye line.
You shouldn’t go and see. Not only is it a lot of effort, but it’s dangerous. You shouldn’t be wandering into alleys to check on strangers in dumpsters. You don’t know any good reason someone might be swimming in garbage. Nor do you think they would want to be bothered.
Still, the prickling in your neck urges you to do something. There’s just something so peculiar about the angle of the arm you can see clearer than the rest of the body. At least they’re moving, even if they sound agonized.
You take your phone and untether it from the bluetooth speaker. You unlock it and keep your thumb ready to dial out. You move as quickly as you can, not very, and waddles along the back of the couch into the entry way. You take your keys from the hook near your door and step into your cushy slides.
You turn back the latch and leave the door unlocked behind you. The slides shift on your swollen feet as you rush down to the elevator. God, your back hurts. You try not to lean too far back as it only adds to the pain. You need a belly belt but they’re so darn expensive.
You’re out of breath as you step on and turn to watch the numbers count down. You’re still panting as you reach the lobby and push through the front doors, leaning into the heavy grated iron until it creaks loudly. You clamour down the steps to even ground and your hips pang.
You put your hand under your stomach, trying to lift it and ease the pressure in your hips. You blow out between your lips as you have to slow down. You shuffle across the grass and into the paved lobby. The stink of the trash brings you back to those early days of morning sickness. And afternoon sickness. And night sickness.
You try not to inhale too deeply as you step between the brick buildings. You bring your phone up, ready to hit those three digits in a heartbeat. You should’ve done so already. Even if you do, it’ll take hours for anyone to come out here.
You stop and listen a few steps from the dumpster. You don’t hear anything now. You look up at the sky, dimming towards evening in a mixture of pink and blue, the moon peeking palely through the hue. You grip your phone tight, keys jangling with your movement as you continue forward.
“Hello?” You call out, “is someone in there?” You linger near the corner of the dumpster, the trash reeking in your nostrils, “do you need help?”
No answer. You stare up, wondering how you might see inside. If you weren’t built like a keg, you might be able to see from the lower level of the fire escape but you can’t even make it one rung. You blink and call out again.
“Hello? Are you okay?”
You wait for a response. Silence again. Maybe they found their way out on their own. You huff. So much for all that. All you’ve done is added to the pain in your arches. You turn on your heel and a groan gurgles and plastic crinkles noisily.
You stop again, wavering, and peer back over your shoulder. A hand appears over the tops of the dumpsters edge and grips it. You face the large metal bin as the knuckles strain within the stained brown leather, fingertips poking out nakedly, blood and dirty tinged across the flesh. A long grunt follows as the figure drags himself to look over the top.
“Sir, are you--” you begin, voice catching at the sight of the cowl and the man’s square jaw. The white star on his chest stuns you. It’s him. Everyone knows that uniform, that face, even under his helmet. New York’s own Captain America.
You gape as the super soldier strains and swings himself out of the dumpster with one arm. His other is hanging limply as his feet hit the pavement. His knees crack and buckle. He drops down onto them and hisses.
“Captain America?” You utter dumbly.
He puts his fist to the ground and leans on his arm. He hangs his head and heaves. He drags a leg forward, planting his foot, and makes himself stand. He pushes his shoulders back and winces, reaching to cradle his dangling arm.
“Steve,” he rasps, “goddamn.”
You don’t expect the obscenity. Not from him. He leans against the dumpster and turns his chin up. He gnashes his teeth as he grips his arm and jerks, moving the heavy bin with his effort. The pop of his shoulder is sickening as he growls tightly. He stomps his foot and as he shakes out the arm he just put back into place.
He reaches up and peels off his cowl as he puts his head straight. He looks at you as he wipes the streak of blood from lip to chin. His blond locks are streaked silver and his face is lined. He looks much older than the magazine covers and the TV screens. The magic of editing, right?
He swipes the sweaty hair from his forehead and huffs.
“Steve,” you rest your phone on your stomach, “are you okay?”
He pushes himself away from the dumpster and puffs, “I’m fine. Just... a hiccup.”
You stare at him. He looks tired and worn. You believe him when he says he’s okay. He's a super soldier and the world has seen his many feats. Yet he looks completely hollow.
“Are you sure? I could call someone or...” you step forward and point to the slash that borders chest and shoulder, “you should clean that out, shouldn’t you?”
He looks down and grimaces, “had worse. I got comms. HQ doesn’t care about a few scratches.”
He goes to step forward and stumbles slightly. He snarls and kicks his foot into the gravel. He wiggles his knee and bends to rub the joint.
“I...” your mouth opens and closes. This isn’t the man you’ve seen in the media. He's not smiling and golden and shining. Still, he’s the Captain. “I live above,” you gesture upward, “I could help... or maybe you can just... sit for a little bit. Get yourself straight?”
He looks at you. As if for the first time. His forehead smooths as the tension eases from his jaw. His gaze slowly crawls down to his stomach and you see the dimple in his cheek.
“Your husband okay with that? I’m a bit of a mess,” his tone is lighter as he fixes his grip on his cowl.
“Oh no, I don’t have--” you chew your lip and look at the brick wall, “it’s just me. But I have first aid kit and learned to stitch in summer camp. I think I can still remember how.”
He glances around and nods, “got a back door?”
“Yeah, it’s... past you,” you nod in his direction.
He pivots stiffly and cranes to see around the dumpster. You near him and your keys jingle again. You follow him to the metal door with the glass window and you shove the key in and twist. You pull it open a few inches. It’s heavier than the front door. He grabs it and wrenches it all the way back.
“Thanks,” you murmur. “There’s an elevator.”
“Hm, fewer people see me, the better,” he sniffs as the door clanks behind him.
“It might take me a while,” you warn, “I’m slow.”
“What floor. I’ll meet you,” he offers.
“Sure, it’s three.”
“Number?”
“310.”
“I’ll find it,” he states and marches towards the stair sign.
You go to catch the elevator, stewing in disbelief on your ascent. You step off and continue on to your apartment. He’s already there. He stands with his hand on the frame, looking over his shoulder as you waddle down the hall towards him.
“It’s unlocked,” you say.
He opens it and waits for you. You thank him as you enter and he follows. He locks it and lingers behind you. You put your hand to the wall as you slip off your slides. He gently lays his cowl on the corner table and bends to unlace his boots. You hang the keys on the hook and place your phone on the small table.
He leaves his dirtied boots on the mat and limps forward. You stand in the open doorway of the living room and peek back at him. He looks around reluctantly.
“Please, sit down,” you insist and wave through the doorway before you pass through.
“I...” he begins and you hear his uneven gait down the hallway. “I don’t want to dirty your couch.”
“I have a steam cleaner,” you assure. “Sit, I’ll get the kit.”
He stares, his eyes once more scanning the space. Does he think this is a trip? That you’re some covert agent who all too conveniently found him? That’s absurd. Look at you.
You shrug off that ridiculous idea and cross to the kitchen. You open several drawers before you remember it’s in the bathroom. Of course. Your brain likes to play games these days. You grab the metal tin from under the sink and return to Steve.
He pulls off his gloves and balls them on the side table next to the couch. You come around the other side of the couch and sit, leaving lots of space between you. You squeeze the kits as you’re once more out of breath.
“You okay?” He turns the question on you.
“I’m not the one bleeding. Just pregnant,” you smile.
You balance the kit on your stomach as you lean back. You sanitize a needle and weave it with surgical thread. You put that aside and fish out an alcoholic swap. You shift the kit aside and push on the back of the couch as you try to sit forward. You shake and he helps you, a humbling assistance.
“First,” you turn to him, “we’ll see how deep it is,” you tear open the swap, “can I...”
“One sec,” he dips his fingers into the fabric and tears the sleeve, renting the fabric like tissue. His arm is thick and well-toned despite the years. A centurion like him can’t complain for the shape he’s in, even battered. “I can do it myself.”
“Yes, but it wouldn’t be easy.”
You reach as he angles towards you. You gingerly dab around the gash and he tenses. He takes a sharp breath, “you don’t have to be so gentle. I can handle pain.”
“Right,” you work more diligently.
He’s quiet as you tend to him, picking out gravel and some metal slivers. You worry that you might miss some. You lean in closer and he steels himself at your proximity.
“So,” he clears his throat, “just you and...” the kid?”
“We all make mistakes,” you chuckle. You can only laugh about it, as scared as you are.
“Mmm,” he flinches as you sweep down the length of the cut. It’s not that deep, mostly superficial.
“Let me put some steri-strips on, shouldn’t need the stitches, ” you say as you sift through the kit with one hand, “if you’re hungry, I have leftovers. You like chicken?”
You don’t know why you’re offering. Maybe it’s because you owe him. Like everyone in the city. It’s your chance to give back to the hero who gave so much. Or maybe it’s because you’re so damn lonely talking to your own stomach.
“I should go,” he insists as you place a strip across the cut.
“Up to you,” you say, “I don’t mind either way, but I’m not going to chase Captain America out of ym apartment.”
He doesn’t say anything. You finish dressing his wound and gather up the wrappers and all. You crumple it in one hand and rock yourself to stand. You’re overly aware of him watching you. You touch your stomach and rub it, soothing your nerves. You find him watching the movement of your hand.
“You must be pretty far along,” he says.
“Six months. Chicken tortellini, if you want. I was gonna reheat some. I haven’t eaten since work.”
“Work?” He frowns and stands, moving better than before. “Should you be?”
“I’m at a desk. It’s nothing. HR got me some ergonomic stuff. Nothing compared to what you do.”
You put away the kit and toss the garbage. You wash your hands before you search out the container of pasta in the fridges. You sense him behind you, just in the wide archway that peers into the kitchen. You reach into the cupboard you left open and take the single plate that isn’t in the rack.
“So, you want some?” You ask.
He’s silent with contemplation, the shift of his weight creaks in the floor, “I appreciate it, yes, please.”
“I might have something you can change into,” you say. You wonder why you’re doing all this. Maybe it’s that maternal instinct kicking in. “The father, before he took off, left a few things.” You peek over your shoulder, “he was a bit smaller than you.”
He shrugs then winces at the careless gesture. “Do you mind if I wash up before I eat? I smell like garbage. I don’t wanna overstep--”
“Go ahead, it’ll take a while to warm this up,” you say.
Another long lull. He taps his fingers on the wall and inhales deep enough for you to hear, “promise, I’ll get out of your hair after dinner.”
“Please, take your time,” you say as you put the tortellini in a glass pan to rebake. He backs away and you sense his hesitation, “oh, down the hall, to the left of the bedroom at the end.”
“Thanks,” he intones, “oh, uh, just realised, you know who I am...”
Your brows pop up and you stop before you can put the pan in the stove. You look back at him and give your name. He nods.
“Pretty,” he comments, “also, it’s just Steve, not Captain.”

A Spoonful of Sugar
Written for the @steddie-spooktober day thirteen prompt “superstition” | wc: 637 | rated: T | cw: none | tags: fluff, domesticity, early relationship, getting to know each other, implied sexual content
———
Steve stumbles into his kitchen, bleary-eyed and sleep-stiff, to find Eddie rummaging through the Harringtons’ cabinets for mugs. The coffee maker burbles cheerfully on the countertop.
“I was supposed to make you breakfast!” Steve pouts, crossing his arms over his bare torso.
“You already let me stay over,” Eddie argues, sidling up to him wearing nothing but a pair of Steve’s boxers and a cheeky grin. “Stop trying to be a good host and start being a good boyfriend.” He leans in for a kiss.
Self-consciously, Steve flinches away with a hand over his mouth. “I haven’t brushed my teeth yet,” he mumbles.
“Baby,” Eddie laughs, “I have morning breath, too. Plus I know where your mouth has been and it doesn’t bother me.”
He lets his hand fall to rest at his side, where Eddie catches it and laces their fingers together. “Are you sure?”
“Try me.” Eddie leans in again, lips pursed exaggeratedly.
Steve smiles and meets him in a languid kiss. Both of their mouths are sour and stale, but Steve finds it hard to care when Eddie is licking into his mouth, warm and wet, and they’re surrounded by the scent of freshly brewed coffee. It’s sweetly domestic in a way that makes butterflies erupt inside him.
A little bashfully, Steve tells him, “I think I started us off on the wrong foot earlier. I meant to say, ‘Good morning, sweetheart, thank you for the coffee.’”
“Mm, apology accepted.” Eddie gives him a final peck before pushing Steve in the direction of the stools along the breakfast bar. “Now go sit and I’ll get your coffee. Just a splash of cream and a dash of sugar, right?” he asks over his shoulder.
Slumped against the island, Steve watches him work, pulling milk out of the refrigerator and grabbing a spoon to stir with. Curiously, Eddie takes the sugar bowl first, ladling a generous dollop into his own mug before putting a much more reasonable amount into Steve’s. Only then does he pour the coffee, top Steve’s with milk, and give both mugs an enthusiastic stir.
“I’ve never seen anyone put the sugar in before the coffee,” Steve observes as Eddie puts the milk back and wipes down the counter where his stirring had caused a spill.
“Really? I guess I never thought about it that much.” Eddie sits their mugs down and settles into the stool beside Steve, scooting close enough for their bare knees to touch.
Steve watches him over the top of his mug as he takes a sip. Perfect, just enough cream and sugar to cut the bitterness without overpowering the flavor of the coffee. “Mmmm. Keep making me coffee like that and I’ll never question your methods again.”
Eddie smiles and raises his own mug like he’s toasting him. “I can’t take credit, it’s just how Wayne’s always done it. He says it’s supposed to be good luck, start the day on a sweet note or whatever. I mostly do it because I use so much sugar. If I poured the coffee first and then dumped a whole tablespoon of sugar into it, I’d make an even worse mess than I already do.” He grins at Steve. “Not that a little extra luck could hurt.”
It feels strangely intimate to learn these little details about Eddie. Never mind the hours they’d spent exploring each other’s bodies the previous evening; that pales in comparison to the feeling Steve has here in his kitchen, sitting in the morning sunlight and talking about Eddie’s superstitious coffee habits. It’s not some kind of deep, dark secret, but Steve feels like he’s been entrusted with something precious nonetheless.
Steve raises his mug in response. “To good luck and good coffee.”
With any luck, this will be the first of many mornings they share together.

Okay but picture this, Miguel getting jealous cause of another spiderperson flirting with you
Like he is doing a briefing with a lot of spider people and one of them keeps trying to get your attention and miguel gets jealous, sends everyone away and has a heavily make out on his platform in his office🫣
HIHIHI twirling hair kicking feet at this bestie
summary : miguel gets jealous of a random spiderperson flirting with you (not proofread)
content warnings : posessive!miguel, just jealous miguel, no use of Y/N, fem!reader word count : 1,9k
tag list : @fandom-ash
Miguel had invited a good group of spiderpersons who were still fairly new to the society, to bring them up to speed or simply to remind them of the procedures to follow on a mission.
You were there, just to supervise. Having been part of Miguel's elite group of spiders for some time now, you were perfectly familiar with all the criteria and stages of the anomaly hunt.
Nothing more than a quick briefing. The usual team was there, Hobie, Gwen, Pavitr, Peter B, Jess and you. You stood off to the side, leaning against a wall, arms folded as you watched Miguel give his speech a bit farther away.
"Hey, I've never seen you around before, do we know each other ?
Your eyes went to the person who had just spoken to you. It was an umpteenth Peter, blond-haired, not far from your age, and of course new.
Although you didn't appear everywhere all the time, most of the spiders knew what Miguel's group looked like. So you were a little surprised by his remark, but not enough for it to be too striking.
"You might've seen me on his team," you said, pointing with your chin at your boyfriend, who you hoped wasn't terrorising the newcomers too much.
You tried to refocus on Miguel's speech. Your relationship with him was not public; you had agreed that, for the time being, you would prefer to keep it a secret. There were several reasons for this, such as the fact that you might be seen as a spider with more privileges than the others - which wasn't the case - or the fact that you simply wanted to avoid trouble. This lack of information didn't stop Peter from coming back for a chat.
"So... what's your name ?"
You didn't even look at him, simply giving him your name and alias.
"And you're a new Peter," you sighed.
"You never get enough Peters, am I right?" he smiled, "although I'm obviously unique in my own way.
"Unique?" you smiled with a little chuckle, "how?", because Peters looked and acted the same, they were after all Peters, so you wondered how he would stand out.
"Like this," he approached you, tucking his fingers behind your ear and bringing his hand into your field of vision so that you could see a little flower between his fingers.
You gave a little laugh, taking the flower in your hand. It was soft, light and smelled wonderful.
"A Peter magician?" you pouted, shaking your head, "that's progress."
Miguel was going over the formalities of multidimensional cells when his gaze inevitably drifted to you. But he froze, tensing up as his eyes took in the little scene unfolding nearby.
You, against a wall, an ordinary Peter caressing your ear to perform a crummy magic trick and make a flower come out of it. Too close... he thought, he was too close to you. He didn't appreciate the proximity with which he approached you. Of course, the other team-mates in his squad could allow themselves to be close to you, whether you were in their arms or whatever, but for one of the countless Peters here to allow himself to be at your level? That he could not condone.
He saw a small smile forming on your face, his blood boiling. Wasn't he good enough for you? Was it because he didn't give you enough affection that you let any spider approach you? Or was it that he didn't do you enough favours, like performing magic tricks?
But Miguel was so good to you, it was almost impossible to get out of his arms when he hugged you. He gave you everything he could give you, even loving you to the point of giving you the last empanada left in the cafeteria if there was only one left, no matter how much he wanted it, and that's how passionate he was about you.
So maybe... you didn't realise that Peter was flirting with you?
Ah, maybe that was it, maybe you were just oblivious to what the nerd was trying to do?
And the Peter took another step.
That one step was too much.
"Well, you've got most of the information. We're going to cut this meeting short, you can all go." he warned, teeth clenched.
The elite team itself looked surprised as all the other Spiderpersons scattered to leave the room.
"Miguel? Is there something wrong ?" asked Peter B, concerned that perhaps the reason everyone had just been dismissed was because of something he had received from Lyla that was important.
But his eyes were riveted like arrows ready to be shot at the Peter who was still chatting to you.
"I just have to take care of a little problem," his eyebrows were furrowed, jaw tight.
Peter B's eyes drifted back to where his were, letting out a quiet "Oh" before calling the rest of the team and persuading them to come with him to... whatever it was for, as long as the elite were leaving too.
"And so you caught three anomalies in a single mission?" said Peter, absolutely amazed by the feats you were telling him about.
"Yes, it's becoming routine," you confirmed.
You noticed the room beginning to empty, and deduced that the meeting must have ended.
"I'm so happy that there are Spiderwomen around, and as competent as you are," continued Peter, chatting to you, "especially when I see that they're as beautiful as you are."
"That's very kind of you," you say simply, "the meeting's just finished, I think you'd better leave before you get your knuckles rapped."
Advice from someone with a very strict boyfriend on organisation, you thought.
"Could we meet again? How about the cafeteria?" he offered.
"That's very nice of you to suggest, but-" you bit the inside of your cheek as he cut you off.
"Oh, or maybe the park? I hear there's an ice-cream parlour that sells ice-creams in our likeness." he laughed softly.
"Would you look at that."
You swallow, his voice was strained and falsely interested, your eyes landing on Miguel who'd just arrived near you.
It's almost comical how tall Miguel was compared to him, towering over him in both mass and size to the point where he could crush him like a tin can.
"Oh Miguel O'Hara-" greeted Peter as if nothing had happened.
"I've never seen you here before," Miguel remarked, a vicious flash in his eyes.
He intended to take great pleasure in showing how much better he was than Peter, and above all in making sure he understood that you weren't interested in his advances.
"Oh yes sir, I'm Peter," he said.
"How original," said Miguel in a honeyed, falsely curious tone, glancing at you.
"The Peters must be the best for there to be so many of them," laughed Peter, and you felt like pinching the bridge of your nose.
"I see them more as a weed that hangs around," he said, looking into poor Peter's eyes, Miguel looming over him.
"Well, I think you should join the other Spiderpersons," you simply breathed with a polite smile.
"Yeah um," he swallowed, lowering his eyes from Miguel's to meet yours, he was appalled. "I'll see you sometime maybe ?"
"Never," Miguel decided.
Peter took a few steps backwards, unable to say anything else, and headed for the exit.
"You look upset, what's wrong?" you asked as Miguel headed for the control platform.
"I see you made a new friend?" asked Miguel, his eyes locking onto you with a dark gleam as he stepped onto the platform.
"Not really," you replied, your voice a little smaller as you in turn joined him on it, coming to sit on one of the desks.
"What did he want?" he asked, his tone insistent as he looked at you, standing and taking a step forward.
"Nothing special, he wanted to get acquainted," you said softly as he took a step forward, his eyes gleaming strangely.
"Just getting to know each other?" he said, arriving just in front of you and placing his two hands on either side of your thighs, tilting his head to the side, questioningly. "You're naive if you think he just wants to be your friend."
His face was close to yours, his whole body almost covering you, leaving you unable to move or get away. Your eyes locked with his a little more, and you understood, a small smile forming on your lips.
You put your hand on his cheek, and he pressed against your touch.
"Do I detect some jealousy there?"
He sighed, his jaw contracting slightly, his tongue creating a tent in his cheek. You raised an eyebrow - was Miguel jealous?
His hand came to brush against your thigh, his fingers moving up until they settled and gripped you, pulling you towards him with this simple grip until your noses touched.
"I didn't like very much how he was so close to you," he admitted, his lips brushing yours.
He came to kiss you, demanding, his lips pressing almost brutally against yours as his other hand came to rest on the small of your back, the latter pressing to bring you closer to him.
You tried to respond to his kiss, his lips and jaw so strong that you felt he was going to engulf you.
He came and kissed your neck, a small sigh of comfort coming from between your lips, which were puffed out and moistened by his kiss.
"You know," you said softly as your fingers ran through his hair, "he never stood a chance against... you right ?"
The statement made his ego swell, as if a huge weight had just been lifted from his shoulders and he felt so light. His lips tenderly kissed your neck, and you felt it.
He sucked at your skin, marking it delicately. He needed, needed the others to know that you had someone. And although you both wanted what you had to be private, he had a terrible desire for people to know that you belonged to him, and not just anyone. He came back to your lips.
"Say that you're mine."
He had to hear it, from your lips that were full of him. You moistened them with a flick of your tongue, his eyes attentive, dark.
"I'm yours," you affirmed softly.
He came to kiss you again, pulling away from your lips to let his fall on your cheek.
"Make me believe it," he said, drunk on your skin. "Say that again."
His kisses covered your skin, wanting to coat it entirely with his lips so that he didn't miss any part of it.
"I'm yours," you whispered, drowning in his adoration as your fingers caressed his cheek.
"Again," he whispered as his lips kissed your eyelid.
"I'm yours," you whispered, your other hand coming around his chest to bring him closer to you.
"Again..." his voice was barely audible, kissing the tip of your nose.
Of course you were his, everything already belonged to him. Did he want your heart? It was full of him. Did he want your thoughts? He had replaced every one of your ideas. Did he want all of you? He would only have a body and a soul that was already attached to him.
When his lips returned to yours, it was you who kissed him, and he melted under the sensation of your lips on his.
"I'm yours."
Your eyes gazed at each other, each living in the other, and he wrapped his arms around you, pressing you hard against him, closing his eyes to enjoy the moment.
He wouldn't let any weeds near his flower.

W/c: 12.1k
A/n: Trying my hardest <3 I'm admittedly having a tough time right now, this chapter felt very nice to write because it's all about the beginning of the packs happy ending <3
Previous part - Masterlist - First part
At least Yoongi is sort of talking to you again. Sort of getting over it minute by minute. It’s hard. Namjoon watches you from where he's sprawled on the couch, holding a near empty bottle of champagne by the neck while Jungkook and Jin wrestle on the floor, sort of making out, sort of scenting each other as they go. Jimin requests a song that Tae would like- and then Yoongi and Hoseok are leaning over Yoongi's phone to make her the perfect playlist. happy to have something new and mundane to bicker over.
Morning is just cresting over the rooftops and the music is just turned down when gets up from the couch, slowly, dizzy. You're perched on the counter in your pj's watching Jimin and Jungkook chase each other around the room. the need to scent and wrestle and get all your restless energy out near palpable.
Hoseok and Jungkook have a tiny paper drink umbrella tucked behind their ears, the same one that Jin stuck in your drinks so that you can keep track of whose drink is whose. He and Jungkook gang up on Jimin to stick one into his hair, the tiny little baby bun that tae tied in his hair.
You giggle as Jungkook gives up and just loops his arms around Jimin's neck, no technice to it and all body weight dragging the three of them to the floor. Sprawled next to the library room door, now open. Tae’s makeup collection spread out on the green carpet like the fallen petals of some red flowering tree.
It changes from wrestling to tickling. and then the three of them are getting up and surrounding Yoongi, a paper umbrella in their fingers, Ganging up on your mate who takes it all with a huff and a surprisingly whiney, “guys.“
You still when Namjoon walks over, the same way you'd still if a wild animal were approaching. He doesn't settle close, just stands next to you, and pours himself the last melted bit of the drink in the blender. Pink and yellow swirling delicately. He makes a noise in his throat and looks at you like he hasn’t barely said a word to anyone in the whole last 24 hours, hasn’t barely said a word to you since you got off the phone with him and Moonbyul left the house.
You sip at your drink, lips pursed around the straw and when you're done, Namjoon takes it from you and puts it on the counter. You think at first that he might be cutting you off but then he fingers the gauze there.
"I should probably check these." You nod obedient, wordless, unsure what to say.
Fingers prodding at the red skin, delicate but knitting itself together slowly. “How much do they hurt?” he asks.
“Probably a two,” you rate, almost without thinking, staring at his downturned eyes. The way his eyelashes still cling together from salt. Face glossy. You want to wash his face, pad across his cheeks gently the way that Jin does after you've been crying (something that you admittedly do a lot- the pack's resident crybaby).
"So should I consider that a four or-"
"No, this time I'm being honest," Namjoon stiffens, "It doesn't hurt when I touch stuff unless I'm not careful." Being honest about your hurts and pains has never been easy for you. But Namjoon has shown you time and time again that he's willing to take your hurts and fix them. You have no reason not to tell him the truth.
Namjoon grips your palm, turning it over his hands again and again, looking down at your love line lifeline all tangled there and leveling you with a look that is neither angry nor resigned.
“Do you notice?” He asks, you swallow. Eyes itchy.
“Notice what?” His finger presses to the center of your palm, the hollow there.
“Still dry.” He says.
You think of the mice, of drowning, you don't pull your hand from Namjoon's grasp, but you know he wouldn't let you anyway. You think about the mice, of dying, of trying to stay dry despite the things that try to swallow you whole. Water is not gentle, water is hungry. The rain pitters against the dark glass and melts the snow outside. But you and namjoon and the rest of the pack are dry and warm and safe in here.
Your breath hitches, but you close your fingers around his hand and nod. “Still dry.” You agree.
Namjoon closes his eyes and breaks the tension and this distance between you. Pulling himself between your thighs where you sit on the kitchen counter. Wrapping his arms around your shoulders to tug you to his chest, and breathing deep in the hollow of your throat.
He pulls back just as abruptly. Hands resting on the counter on either side of your thighs. All up in your space and sour-smelling. It takes great effort for you not to turn away and keep his piercing eye contact.
“Don’t do something like that again. Ever.” His jaw rolls and his scent spikes angry. But it's all temporary as you nose under his jaw to soothe him. Namjoon has every right to be angry with you for leaving, the same way Yoongi does.
“Never. Promise.” You hold out your pinky and you mean it.
Namjoon looks at you for a second, staring you down, waiting for you to look away. But then after a second, he loops his pinky through.

Mikey x Reader x Draken (Tokyo Revengers)(Part 6)
⭕️ Visit my PATREON LINK for some spicy Tokyo Rev NSFW art and exclusive smut fanfiction.
Warning tag: obsessed! Mikey, possessive! Draken, naive! reader, threesome, violation of trust, dubious consent, obsessive behavior, uncontrollable thirst for reader, manipulation, forced, teenage craves, hormonal minds out of control, sexual content, first time, cock riding, teenage fuck, pussy eating, love confessions, cock-drunk, boys trying to be good but failing miserably, gaslighting, sleeping! reader, gang stuff.
-
The water is already steamy, and both boys itch to fulfil their next fantasy. They know it would take time to have your full and undeniable consent and approval.
The duo also knows this wasn’t the best path to win you over but now that it's done, there’s no way back and letting you go isn't even an option.
“N-No.” your defiance is intoxicating for some unknown reason.
“No, huh?”
“Yes, I said no.” You don’t let the shake in your voice manifest.
Meanwhile, the heat emanating from the shower starts to create a cloud of steam and being the only one with clothes on, you can feel the fabric beginning to stick against your skin.
You don’t know how to be shameless regarding nakedness like them. As if they didn't care if someone else saw them…. Even as if they've seen each other naked a million times, and then, it hits you.
“—Since when are you together?”
Mikey hums, pensively, “We know each other since we were just your height, little one.” The blond openly jokes, and you can hear Draken snickering.
“You are like one inch taller than me—”
“You’ll do good to remember that.” Mikey keeps teasing, sassy grin curving his lips.
Fed up with his antics, you stop tip toing around them, and aim for a punch under the belt.
“Your boyfriend is being an asshole, Draken.” You spat, venom dripping from your tongue, crossing your arms in front of your chest a tense silence floats for a second too long, and it pops like a soap bubble when, they burst out laughing.
“She is at us, baby.”
Draken says between laughter, and you can hear his equally annoying buddy, clap a hand at his knee while holding his stomach, letting the laughter slowly die down.
“(Y/N)—you perspicacious little thing…” Mikey chuckles out, and cleaning the remnant of tears from his eyes, shakes his head, “of course, Draken and I are a thing.” The short blond unashamedly, admits.
“…Lover?” you murmur and quickly correct, “—boyfriend!”
“The first one…” Mikey replies, unconcerned “and the second one—” continues, your mouth opens but he keeps going, “and… the third one.”
Confusion reflects on your features and is quick to add.
“He is mine—” easily claims, “the same as you are.” Shrugs his shoulders, unworriedly looking through your shoulder at Draken who plainly grins.
“You can’t own a person…” you hear yourself whisper.
“Sure, you can!” he boasts, “as long as he owns you back—” Mikey explains, standing up from the toilet lid to take a couple of leisured steps towards you “… and I promise you…” the bastard towers over you, even when he’s just a bit taller, “Its. Fucking. Fulfilling.” Closes the distance with each word until is face to face with you.
The whole room begins to feel cramped; you feel like an animal inside a cage and sensing your weariness, Draken pats your shoulder, lightly.
“You must be suffocating in so many clothes—you’d better take them off.” He suggests, previous warning buried under layers of patience.
You hadn’t even noticed that you were profusely sweating, Toman’s uniforms are not for hot weather … or, rather for steam baths.
The fabric adhered to your skin feels awfully uncomfortable and soon the discomfort is so much that you don’t see another option. No doubt that damn Draken did this on purpose, smart little bastard.
“—Could you turn around?”
The request leaves your mouth out of your control and to your surprise, both comply.
They turn around without saying a word, and you stay still for a moment before starting to undress. You know it's silly because they're going to have to see you eventually, but being granted this small favor makes you feel a little more in control.
“Ready?”
Mikey asks, since the noises of clothes falling to the ground stopped being heard, and you sigh heavily before answering.
“I would feel more comfortable if you let me bath on my own—”
“We understand…” the ghost of a smile hunts your face for a brief moment when Mikey seems to yield “—but then who would wash your back,” but then he adds, wiping all mirth from your features right away, fake concern tainting his sarcastic tone, “or clean behind your ears…?” Draken joins following his lead, and you can hear the smirk on their faces even when you can’t see it.
“—Does messing up with me bring you guys any kind of twisted pleasure?” you ask, making sure they notice your contempt for them, “or is it part of your supposed unconditional LOVE for me?” Your blatant mock makes you feel pleased when they don’t reply immediately.
Finally, some payback, you think, but you couldn’t be more wrong because you just gave them the excuse they’ve been looking for, since the three entered the bathroom.
“She still doesn’t believe us, Kenchin.”
Mikey groans, stretching his back soundly, like subtly reminding you how strong they are compared to you.
“I heard—” the dragon tattoo owner replies, “and it breaks my heart.” Draken sighs, yet it sounds false and combing his blond hair back, stresses.
“Sounds to me like it’s our sacred duty as her irrevocable boyfriends…” makes a meaningful pause for you to witness him slowly turn around to look at you while spelling the next words, “—to remind her who she belongs to now.”
Fear melts your satisfied grin into pure despair and taking a step away from the intimidating tall blond and his dark promise, your naked back bumps against a solid chest.
“I agree, baby...” Mikey´s voice sounds closer to your ear, “now (y/n) … It’s your decision how this will happen…” the Toman leader explains, pressing his strong chest flush against your bare back, resting his chin on the curve of your shoulder to spy your reactions, “… we can be gentle and sweet, or NONE…” putting a lock of hair behind your ear, pecks your cheek, gallantly and finishes, “your move.”
A loud breath tells them that you are getting awfully nervous, your gaze desperately searches for a way out, and they only follow your line of sight, yet don’t attempt to move. Until you try to take a step forward and as if in chain reaction, Mikey’s arm encircles your waist and Draken closes the distance, only leaving a centimeter of air that prevents your breast from colliding with his.
“I—…I believe you!” you lie, “there’s no need—”
“Nop.” You feel Mikey´s lips glued to the shell of your ear, “Just decide.”
You hate being put in these scenarios, and you hate more that you are so afraid of them that you prefer a known devil, than a devil to know. So, disgusted by your next words, you shamefully reduce to play they little sick game of power.
“Gentle.”
Both boys' smirk, wildly. Without a doubt, you are beginning to be trained to comply, and that pleases them very much, so much that they are going to gift you an extra special, session.
“Smart move.” Draken praises, “of course, she´s our smart girl.” Mikey complements.
Is the last you hear before been push under the hot water jet, the sound of the water lapping at your skin drowns out every sinful moan you try so hard to bit back as their naughty hands and thirsty mouths, explore your curves without restraint.
Trying to keep your legs closed is useless as teaming up, they spread them, effortlessly, losing all sense of composure and frantically both drag their fingers among your slick folds, enticing you to follow their euphoric pace.
You can´t swallow the heavy moan that breaks your composure, and Draken presses his lips to the line of your jaw, you instantly go rigid at the gentle kiss, making you wonder how someone who looks so dangerous can be so mellow.
“I know it´s only being a night since,” he whispers against your skin, fervently, maneuvering your palm to wrap around his warm, thick cock. “But don’t you ever stop us from touching you again, (y/n).” He groans and aids you to give him a good, rough squeeze, so he can slowly start to thrust his hips into your clenched fist.
“Fuck—that´s it.” He moans hoarsely, “keep going—Don´t s-stop...” your hand moves erratically, not sure how to please him and not sure if you want to keep going, when Mikey urges you to continue by wrapping his hand among your fingers, “Like this, Babygirl, Draken likes it when you pamper the head...” and following his instructions, you brush your thumb along the tip of his cock and Mikey hums approvingly when his bestie´s body jerks with it. “That´s a good girl.” The shorter blond praises, letting you keep going on your own.
Meanwhile, Mikey’s hands attack you gliding over your wet skin like a snake, caresses with a smooth continuous motion, insistently pursuing the curve of your breasts, squeezing hard enough for the plump flesh to spill among his fingers while his hard cock smears against your bottom, letting you nestle it between your butt cheeks, praises of how good your being falling from their mouths like water from the faucet.
“Be honest with us, (Y/N),” Draken gasps, growing harder and harder in your hand, “at some point —Fuck....” his breathing stutters, “—this scenario had to cross your mind… at least once….”
“W-What—what scenario?” you murmur, overstimulation making your speech drag, for Mikey is unable to stop playing with your hardened nipples, “don´t stop—” Draken groans, and you begin to stroke his throbbing length up and down in time with his euphoric thrusts.
“You guys are not my cup of tea...” you drag out, between pitiful whimpers and Mikey barks a humorless laugh before reply, “what's not to like, babe?... To me, you sound outstandingly pleased.”
“—Being fucked… without my-my consent—by two abusive gang members w-who won’t take no for… an answer?” how the fuck do you find the words to entice them even more is beyond them, but you do, “… and you ask—...what's not to like?”
A crude chuckle quakes Draken’s chest with blessed amusement and he press soft, open-mouthed kisses along the heaving curve of your neck, letting his warm tongue come out to taste you and slowly disentangles your fingers off his length, for your attention to be solely on Mikey, who reaches one of his hands down to gently cup your cunt.
“It’s not ideal, of course,” Mikey admits, mindlessly and you gasp at his blatant honesty, hand in hand with his working fingers on you, “-we are not some stupid gang members who don't understand anything,” his words are being muffled by your skin when his lips trace your shoulder, “we also understand that what we did, has consequences—” he agrees, and you realize why he´s one of the most respected leaders among the gangs, “but everything has a solution... if you accept us as yours.”
You groan deliriously when his digits scissor your sensitive cunt. “We´ll give you anything, sweet girl.” A ragged gasp tears through your throat and his back straightens, proudly at hearing your melodic orgasm rip out through your convulsing frame. “Thats it —” he breaths against your ear, “... that orgasm was nothing compared to what awaits you, if you say YES.”
Collapsing against Mikey´s body, he all too pleased holds you, lifting you a little off the floor, patiently waiting for your legs to work again.
“There is nothing you can do—to make me say yes...” you strive for your voice to sound firm but fail miserably, even so, the message is sent... “—nothing.”
“Well, that was disappointing...” Mikey slumps down a little, “but hey! this was my first attempt to woo you—” Oh my God, they had to be kidding... “I'm sure the others will be successful, and soon you'll come back to your senses, ain't that right, Draken?”
Draken nods, “—but that doesn't mean we can't help her to cope, Mikey,” he adds, wickedly.
“Ain´t you smart, baby…” Mikey praises his lover.
“Just...this time... let ME set the tune—” Draken calls dibs.
“By all means, Commander.” Mikey concedes.
Your sarcastic comeback catches in your throat as the tall blond, invasively slides his palm between your buttocks, and his thick thumb breaches the sanctity of your ass.
You raggedly gasp, stunned by his audacity.
“—Don´t...!”
“Shhh... just relax and let me work you.”
Your body fills with wildfire, ladling heat into your lower tummy. The sensation is genuinely mind shattering, no one has ever done something like that to you... not even yourself, the discomfort is too fleeting, only remaining a feeling that you cannot describe.
Your eyes shut tight as your mouth forms an “o” shape, but no sound comes out, and Mikey takes advantage of the moment of blindness to slide his fingers inside your tired slit, thumb designated to your clit, making lazy circles over your vulnerable bundle of nerves.
“It feels—I feel...w-weird,” you gasp out, swallowing thickly and reaching your hand out to rest along the smoothness of Mikey´s neck. He noticeably leans into your touch. “Relax, baby, just let him work.” He advices reassuringly, peeking down at Draken pumping his thumb, in and out of your virgin ass.
Your fingers squeeze gently, ranking your nails among the wet skin you can find. “...I don´t think... I can handle—”
“Sure, you can—” Draken is swift to interrupt you, thick fingers abandoning your spasming asshole to brace you up into his arms, you manage to stay remarkably still for someone who is being forced to straddle and present its ass out.
“I think she´s as ready as she will be.” Mikey suddenly says, speaking to Draken while ignoring your constant pleas for them to stop. “I guess, it´ll hurt,” Draken´s sigh presses against the side of your face, and glimpsing Mikey´s furrowed brows, hurries to add “—but just for a second before she stretches.”
The skin of Draken´s back feels feverishly warm under your fidgety palms as his toned muscles periodically flicker and shine under the slippery gush of water.
“Hold on tight to me, (y/n).” Draken instructs, sliding his palms from your thighs to your ass where he parts your butt cheeks for Mikey to dip the head of his cock inside your butthole.
You have to bite down on your lip, hard and harder, when Mikey suddenly impales you to the hilt in one swift roll of his hips, splitting you wide open in one single sharp thrust, which drags a pitched scream out of you and a highly pleasurable and long grunt, out of him.
“Oh my—….FUCK!” he blasts, out of breath “Oh my fucking god,” his head falls back, gasping deeply.
“...That good?” Draken wonders, firmly holding the sides of your thighs to keep you sprawl, Mikey nods.
“I´m gonna—make her milk me ´till she burst,” Mikey mutters raggedly, before setting a brutal pace, your moan piercingly loud, forcing Draken to cover your mouth. “Easy there, gorgeous, we don't want the whole brothel to wake up,” Draken says, and once he sees your brows starting to smooth again, he takes it as his cue to massage your ass before burying himself inside your cunt to the hilt. This is too fucking much. Your body is reaching a point of overstimulation you had never experienced before and noticing your slitted, crossed eyes, the sub-commander takes a long stilling moment for you to accommodate and enjoy the way you feel so asphyxiatingly tight around them, thanks to how well both are filling you.
“Thi-This...This is definitely it, Babygirl, you are so... so PERFECT.”
“She´s doing so well,” Mikey´s eyes remain tightly shut to be able to last, the slapping of his grinding hips against your ass a constant sound among your pitiful whimpers. “I’m so fucking close,” his voice sounds annoyed, “this kitten´s reaaaaally squeezing down on me, good—Fuck.”
“I know—...Ngh! So, fucking cramped-…. this cunt is...—driving me nuts.” Draken’s long, and awfully thick, every thrust of his fat cock nudges against that spot inside you that makes you see stars.
You feel them sync up, and suddenly each thrust is appropriately devastating to your inexperienced body, not a trace of pain left, just the feeling of being impossibly stuffed. Your mouth drops open, and your eyes roll to the back of your head when Mikey sinks his canines to your shoulder. “M cumming,” and, bites hard to prevent the loud growl when he spills his seed inside you so fucking violent, it makes his legs almost collapse under his weight.
“´Yo still with us, Mikey?” Draken barks a laugh when his leader slumps down into the solid ground with a maniac grin stretching his lips like a wild man. His back continues to rise and fall with quiet, unsteady breaths, clearly passed out from overexertion. “Oh my god... oh my fucking God, Kenchin—...I'm going to burst into happy tears, man.”
“´Yo kidding, right?” Draken reaches up and takes one fistful of your hair to lean your face to his, but you are already half-way numb, and groaning a little, he keeps fucking you, steady and slow.
“Then, you call it a day.” Draken hurries to ask his fallen comrade, hips never faltering, your legs limp at each side of him.
“I, fucking, am—” Mikey grunts, too pleased with the experience to even care.
“So, do I have green light to: do whatever the fuck I want with our kitten?” he smirks, slowing down for a second to rub your back, affectional.
“Sure, man, fuck her stupid... stupider, if that’s even possible.”
Mikey enjoys the show from the wet floor. Draken gives your ass a hard slap which makes you wince out of your numbness, and throws his head back in ecstasy, allowing your gummy walls to embrace him at its fullest.
“’M about to find out.”

.......................................
Alo’ad huffed, falling back behind the other members of his war party. He wasn’t as big as them, so keeping up with them was harder after hours of trekking through the thick woods while the elves attacked them over and over again, trying to get them surrounded.
Due to the leader of the party, Underar, having superior wood lore under his belt, they had made it this far relatively unscathed. In fact, they had the elves on the run now which was the only reason Alo’ad allowed himself to slow down. That and any other minotaur that was hurt could slow down and get some healing from the half-taur now that it was safer to do so.
Alo’ad stretched his arms, looking for Taurs that had fallen behind or collapsed because of an unnoticed injury.
He smelled blood in the air and snuffled, trying to find it quickly. It smelled dangerous, whatever wound it came from.
He ducked his head a little, his short horns brushing under a branch as he stepped through the last of the tall grass in the clearing.
The tree the branch belonged to loomed overhead, and at the roots sat a man. A small elf, thin and willowy though as short as any of his kind, clutching at a deep wound in his abdomen.
The elf’s eyes went wide, long ears tipping down and pinning in his long pale hair as he drew in a short breath.
Alo’ad moved quickly, grabbing the elf by the face and gently pinned his head to the tree. The elf whimpered, Alo’ad’s hand, while smaller than a full Taur’s hand, was still big enough to almost entirely cover the elf’s face.
Alo’ad looked over his shoulder, making sure he was crouched far enough that no one in the war party would be able to see him. If the elf was heard or spotted they would take him back to camp to interrogate him. They wouldn’t torture him, but it would be torture as his wounds would be left unattended. And he would die before he could tell them anything interesting.
No, that would be a waste of life, and Alo’ad had been taught by his human father, against Taur culture, that life was endlessly valuable. Even that of the enemy. His mother had rolled her eyes at such claims, but she never stopped old Hesikaia from teaching their son such things, a soft look in her eyes as she watched her husband do so.
Alo’ad reached into his pack, ignoring the elf’s scrambling fingers, slick with blood, on his wrist.
He pulled out a small satchel full of poultice soaked pads and pulled one out, gently tugging the elf’s war tunic up out of his belt before applying the pad to the wound.
The elf tensed under his fingers, small hands grabbing at his wrist, though he was no longer fighting back.
Alo’ad didn’t dare make much noise, so he leaned in and whispered, “Please be quiet. If they hear you, you will be taken prisoner. Understand?”
The elf sat there frozen before tapping twice, the common sign for yes.
Alo’ad released the elf’s face, who took a deep breath, eyes wide, but he did not scream.
Alo’ad nodded and turned his attention to the wound, lifting the pad to check the damage. It was deep, but it did not smell of bile like it would if any organs had been ruptured.
The half-taur grunted, happy enough as he replaced the pad, grabbing the elf by the upper arm to lift him away from the tree, reaching into his pack for bandages to wrap around the elf’s stomach.
The elf squirmed a little, opening his mouth, but one stern look from Alo’ad quieted him.
The elf stilled as Alo’ad finished wrapping the bandages, pinning it with a long thorn from a plant in the underbrush near the tree.
The elf looked very strange indeed, sitting there with the bulky bandages meant for a minotaur wrapped around his middle.
“Why?” the elf whispered in accented common.
Alo’ad tilted his head a little. He just gave a little shrug. “Stay here,” he whispered. “I will find you a staff.”
He got up to hunt quickly through the forest for a stick for the small elf, looking up at branches with his knife in hand to cut one if he found a sturdy enough branch within his reach.
………………………….
Bettelenian watched in amazement as the half-taur left to look for a staff. He rested a hand on his bandaged stomach, still trembling in the aftershocks of fear. He had been certain he was going to die when he looked up from his wound to see the enemy standing in front of him. Laying wounded, out of energy entirely to cast any spells, far away from the horses he trained and cursing the reckless decisions of his peers that brought him here, he thought he was going to die.
When the half-taur had moved, quicker than a horse striking out with its back hooves, Bettelenian was sure he would wake up on the other side, wrapped in the robes of the dead, but instead he had only been slightly smothered as the half-taur messed with his wound.
Bettelenian had been stupidly lucky. So very very lucky. He should have died, really. He had been thrown from his horse, upset by the attacking Taurs and difficult terrain and some Taur had managed to stick him, leaving for dead in the grass, a sneering face imprinted in Bettelenian’s head. He’d crawled to the tree before he’d run out of energy entirely.
And here he was, patched up by a half-taur. It looked as though it were true that the human blood in any species made them softer. Maybe even foolish.
Bettlenian shuddered at that thought. Now was not the time for blood snobbery. Really, he should be on his hands and knees thanking whatever human helped create this man who had come to save him.
He heard a cracking of branches behind him and he turned his head to see the half-taur coming back, a sturdy branch in hand, tucking a huge knife away.
His huge hand encompassed Bettelenian’s whole shoulder, hauling him up more than helping, giving him the staff and holding him until the dizziness had passed from him.
“That way should be safe,” the half-taur said, pointing into the woods. “I will make sure they do not search this way for a while. Here.”
He pulled out a small bottle with something white and pearly inside. “Take a sip of this.”
“What is it?” Bettelenian asked, trying to hide his disgust.
“It will give you energy to get back to an elven camp,” the half-taur said. “Take only a sip. It’ll feel like a kick to the chest.”
“I’ll do without,” Bettelenian said, trying to take a step away, but he was so tired his hands slipped on the staff, sending him to his knees.
The huge enemy crouched by him, a huge hand on Bettelenian’s lower back, clearly able to grab him all the way around if he wanted to. The bottle was shoved under Bettelenian’s nose. “Take it.”
“No! I won’t have a barbarian’s brew! I-”
Something angry flashed through the half-taur’s eyes and he grabbed Bettelenian by his long hair, pulling him back and putting the bottle to his lips.
The potion dribbled like honey into Bettelenian’s mouth - a bitter, numbing honey - sticking to his molars as he haltingly swallowed, and then the bottle was ripped away again.
“Go,” the half-taur said darkly, pushing Bettelenian back up and shoving the staff into his hands.
Bettelenian gasped as energy slammed into his body, indeed feeling like a kick to the chest as his heart pumped quicker and his urge to run kicked in as powerfully as it did when he found himself at the end of a spear.
“Go,” the half-taur growled again. “May my father’s brewing knowledge carry you from here after the insult you gave to it. You are lucky I chose to let you go to live with your people instead of dying among mine.”
Bettelenian stumbled away before turning and fleeing as fast as he could, heavily using the staff as he did so.
…………………………………………
“Alo’ad!” Underar called as the healer came back to meet with the other Taurs. They were setting up camp, laughing and singing together as they celebrated their victory and even Underar’s blood swam with the alcohol he had allowed himself to share in. “There you are! Where were you?”
“Likely finding a river to clean off in!” another Taur called. Kiadhi grinned at Alo’ad in a friendly, teasing way. “Just like your father, hey?”
Alo’ad rolled his eyes, though it was clear he had found a water source of some sort to clean off as he was somewhat damp and no longer smelled of the chase or war. “Perhaps, but you want your healer’s hands clean if he’s going to be digging around in your organs.”
“Only if the healer is in camp in the first place,” Underar said, a little bite in his tone now. “You were gone for a long time.”
Alo’ad shrugged, muscled shoulders rolling in a sleeveless tunic. “I was tired,” he admitted.
Underar scowled, stepping forward and putting a large hand on Alo’ad’s small shoulder, leading him away from camp as the Taurs who had been paying attention went back to their celebration.
“Alo’ad,” the leader said softly. “You told me that you could keep up with us. If you have lied for the glory of running with the herd, I can understand that, but-”
“No, it’s fine. I can keep up. I just need longer breaks,” Alo’ad said firmly. “I have not slowed you down yet, and I do not intend on slowing you down in the future.”
Underar looked Alo’ad up and down, judging the small half-taur’s words before nodding. “I believe you, Alo’ad. Try to rest closer to the camp, understand?”
“I understand,” Alo’ad replied, nostrils flaring with some relief.
“Good. Come join the celebration. We will need your voice to sing the victory chorus.”
……………………………………….
Bettelenian stumbled into an elven camp as the moon began to rise, the potion worn off now. He had no idea who’s camp he was in, but he wanted to cry in relief.
He called out in pain, falling to his knees, his staff clattering to the ground.
A tent near him lit up with mage light and soon elves were running to him, helping him up and calling for a healer.
Bettelenian forced himself to stay conscious through pride alone as he was taken into a tent, a healer, wearing the symbols of the second highest order, pulled back his tunic only as far as necessary to deal with the injury.
“These aren’t elven,” he said, confused. “What happened out there?”
Bettelenian opened his mouth to answer, but the Lord of sleep was already coming for him, taking his vision before carrying him to rest.

[ Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 ]
Genre: Angst, fluff
TW: Heavy depression
Words: 5k
Synopsis: One winter before his disappearance, you told your boyfriend Yu about a question you’ve had for so long; one even he could hardly respond to. It took many more hopeless winters for you to finally have your answer.
Note: Please don't copy or steal my work and pass it off as your own! If you'd like to use one of my headcanons or something, I'd love it if you tagged or asked. Good day! Sorry for the delay, I totally haven't been eating up the Iso stuff Valorant's posting for the past few weeks like an Iso zombie, or anything. Also I might start publishing stuff a lot more slowly with everything's coming up, but I'll try my best to keep writing! Have a good read!

Winter, present day.
You were tasked with showing up to work extra early today. Not that you had anything important to do, but Ying had an idea, and she always made her grand ideas your or Yu’s problem.
Mostly you, for some reason. Since she was your boss, you never really minded this. Actually, it was starting to grow on you, especially since she seemed incredibly busy with something else and didn’t have many other ways to release her stress.
It was important to note that this wasn’t all daisies and rainbows, however. This plan, though joyous for her, was pure torture for you.
Your path to work today consisted of you carrying a basket concealed at the top with some cloth as you walked down the pavement. Your mistake of not wearing gloves, combined with the brutally cold weather and the heaviness of said basket, it felt like your fingers were about to snap and fall off any second. Despite somehow surviving every single winter in your lifetime, you never bothered purchasing gloves since you had this habit of keeping your hands in your pockets.
Fuelled by a certain someone.
Your thoughts were curt once you pushed the door open, your entrance accompanied by a jingle as you moved towards the counter where Ying was. Though she was writing down a few things on her laptop, she immediately met your gaze with a grin and prioritised greeting you.
The heat inside the café enveloped you, and you immediately welcomed it with open arms whilst you moved.
“Good morning, Y/N! Did you bring the goods?”
Take that out of context.
You pocketed your headphones, then slammed the hefty basket on the counter to relieve yourself of the weight, a loud thud echoing through the empty and barely lit café. Then, you slipped off the cloth covering, immediately taking out its contents before she’d get a chance to peek.
“One,”
You placed one ripened passion fruit on the table, Ying’s eyes glimmering in excitement as she turned off her laptop and clasped her hands together.
“Two,” you set down another, “three,” then another, “four, five, six,”
You were careful not to set them down too hard. Despite their thick skin, you knew you could accidentally crush them. And after a whole year of tending to that cursed tree, preventing fungal infections and protecting it from anything that stood between you and a bloody good harvest, smashing the fruits was the last thing you wanted to do.
“Fifteen.”
You set down the final one. And by the time you looked up at Ying, her grin grew so wide it could tear her skin open with just one more fruit set to the counter.
“Wonderful– this is amazing! I can only imagine how many desserts and drinks we can make with this!” She held one fruit and let her thumb scan the wrinkly skin. “And how’re your other trees, if I may ask?”
With a shrug, the basket was tossed aside and you made your way behind the counter, taking out a knife from a nearby drawer. Your fingers were noticeably less stiff thanks to the heat. Though it still hurt to bend them, it wasn’t as bad as, you know, probably approaching hypothermia.
“We have to wait until next summer for the harvest, I’m afraid.”
“Ah, is that so? No problem; the profits we’ll make from this should make up for the time lost!”
She noted with the same enthusiasm from the moment you showed her a single fruit.
You didn’t want to waste your time making the pies. Your task was to grow the fruit, not cook them. At least until she said otherwise. Again, Ying was your boss.
Once you put down the chopping board and knife you previously washed, she handed you the fruit and allowed you to cut into it. And with just one slice, it parted to reveal a slew of yellow deliciousness glimmering under the light, waiting to be ingested. Ying aimed for said ‘deliciousness’. You, however, already aimed to keep the seeds for yourself.
She took the sliced fruit and trotted off, letting you take the others and continue cutting into them. The silence was immediately broken, however, especially once another thing popped up in her mind.
“I don’t want to sound like a creep, but…” she piped up from behind, “I noticed you started listening to music on the way here again.”
You paused.
Right… The headphones. You mindlessly took them out last week and started using them whilst pruning your tree, the action comparable to pouring yourself a glass of water to go with a meal. As if there was no emotional attachment to such a thing.
And it felt good, now that she mentioned it. No– it felt triumphant, actually. More pleasing than coming to work with a basketful of fruit with only the bustling of the streets to accompany you. Not that your taste in music was anything crazy, but, you know.
You promptly went back to slicing through the fruit. It took a great deal of effort not to let the looming sense of despondency consume you as if it were a blue whale.
“Yeah, I… Gardening is as distracting as I remember it to be.”
“You’re not going to drop it, are you?”
“No, no. Not at all.”
It gave you something to do other than sulk in bed all day. Ying took the sliced fruit with a smile you barely caught from the corner of your eye, before moving back to the counter behind you.
“I’ve actually purchased a few other things to go along with the pies we’re making. Would you like the seeds?”
You looked back to see her taking out a few other fruits and setting them on the crowded counter, right next to what you discovered was a colander. The colours of said fruit pleasantly stood out against the variety of beiges and the muted tones of the outside world. A few oranges sat adjacent to the sliced passion fruit from you, some store-bought passion fruit alongside those ones, and…

“I was told oranges were your specialty a while ago. I’m hoping that’s still the case.”
“...What lemon is that?”
Ying paused to look back at what she’d set down, before perking up and grabbing the exact fruit you were eyeing.
“Ah, you noticed? It’s a Meyer lemon! I had to wait for December and go so far to find them; I still somehow only managed to purchase two before they sold out.” She grinned to herself whilst handing it to you. “I don’t know how you used to get so many all the time.”
You set down the blade, then moved to take the lemon from her, observing its familiar shape and colour. Soft, round, thin skin, and a deeper tint of yellow juxtaposed to its regular counterpart. Just how you remembered it to be.
“Where’d you find them?”
Ying tittered and took out another lemon, setting it alongside the pile of fruit she’d already placed.
“That’s a secret. Anyhow, I’ll need to fire up the ovens now and call in a few others. I guarantee that…”
She continued speaking, but you tuned her out in favour of taking in the lemon’s characteristics all over again. It’s been a while since you’ve seen one of those. Heck, it’s been a while since you were even able to stomach thinking about Meyer lemons. But now, sure, they were doing their cursed job of reminding you of Yu, but what chiefly took over your mind was how you’d be able to plant this on your balcony again. The process, the space, all of that previously buried information was now slowly digging itself out. Huh.
A cold sensation on your thumb snapped you out of your thoughts, and you looked down to realise that you accidentally dented the skin, deep enough for the juice to spill. You promptly shook your head and went back to work.
❤ฺ·。
It took a while for you to finally clean out all of the pots and fill them with their respective soils. And it took an even longer while for you to plant your seeds, organising them outside on the balcony, where there was more room. Your apartment was now slowly growing more and more synonymous with a forest. Plants and bushes everywhere, you swore the air also started to change the more you tended to all of it.
You stood back and proudly dusted off your hands, heaving a tired sigh in the process of catching your breath. Despite the cold temperature that poked at your skin like an army of wasps, you were still heavily sweating, and it felt like your chest was burning.
How the heck did you do this all the time without anyone’s help? You thought, but again, you were more physically capable of things like this given your… erm, better diet and mental state. Better than whatever the heck it was now before Ying convinced you to pick up gardening again. It felt like your muscles had deteriorated after a year of… well, after a year.
Whatever. If there was one thing you were going to do, it’s to return to how you were before Yu left. Maybe even better. And these plants were the first step to getting there. You took the pen and sticky notes set on a table near the corner and began writing. The ice cold temperature of said pen stung your fingers, but it’s not like that stopped you.
‘orange’, and ‘passion fruit’.
But you stopped halfway through writing the word ‘lemon’. You haven’t planted any lemons. In fact, you ran out of pots, as unbelievable as that sounded.
You wanted to plant the lemons right now. No, you needed to. If you don’t start now, how long will it take until you finally get fruit? Besides, Ying’s thirst for fresh fruit wouldn’t be quenched any time soon.
But… there was no room.
…
You sighed, and went back inside. There was one solution in mind. But that solution required a level of bravery you could never hope to achieve. And now that she mentioned it, you could hardly put on the headphones without thinking of Yu. You barely managed to plant those two fruits without being reminded of your parents over and over; how were you supposed to even think of approaching Meyer lemons?
It just seemed too ambitious. It seemed like it was too soon, especially when you were still technically grieving Yu’s disappearance.
But the idea was tempting, to plant the lemons in Yu’s backyard. His house was practically abandoned, right? It wasn’t… occupied. How could you, though? Exploit your boyfriend’s generosity like that? Not only his generosity, but for sharing something so vulnerable with you, only to be used for your own selfish goals when he wasn’t around to–
Your thoughts were interrupted once the music in your ears paused in favour of the ringtone that began playing. Someone was calling. And you rushed to your phone on the other side of the balcony, checking the name.
Ying.
Why would she be calling you today? At night?Nevertheless, you answered and pocketed the device.
“Hello?”
“Good evening!”
You immediately flinched at the sound of multiple plates clanking against each other. That wasn’t to mention the people speaking loudly in the background. Though far away and, quite frankly, muffled, you were too used to the serene ambient playlist you had going.
"Ying, it's ten. Why're you still at work?"
"You should've seen it, Y/N! People went crazy over the pastries, they– they think I put some kind of secret ingredient in there! No, in fact, they actively avoided the store-bought passion fruit; they wanted yours!" She excitedly laughed to herself. "Can you believe it? I never thought using fresh fruit could have such an effect!"
You ran your fingers through your messy hair, unable to hold back the smirk that painted your features.
"No kidding."
"I'll give you a cut of it this month. But we're only a few sales shy of purchasing that painting! What would I do without you, Y/N?"
She let out a content sigh. You noted the unwavering excitement in her voice. Heck, you even knew that her cheeks were currently twisting to accommodate a wide smile despite being on the other side of the phone. But she kept the volume of her voice low, almost as if she were holding herself back in order to maintain her air of professionalism, or whatever.
But…
“Ying. We need to talk.”
“Wait, just one second.”
Ying muted her microphone before you could tell her about what ran through your mind. And the doubt grew the more seconds that passed. Should you really tell her what was going on, or should you just deal with it alone?
Your heart jumped out of your chest once you heard an audible thud from behind you, quickly turning to see what the noise was. But you immediately calmed down the moment you recognised the wrinkly lump that sat on the ground, barely reflecting the light off of its thick purple skin.
It was a passion fruit from the tree. You… missed one.
Ying then unmuted, snatching your attention with ease.
“I’m sorry, what were we saying?”
"Something about a painting. Look, there’s something important..." you glanced at the other pots as you leaned on the wall behind you, "Ying, there's no more room."
"Huh? For the plants?"
"Yes. My balcony is full, and I ran out of pots."
"I see... And buying a new pot is not an option, is it?"
"No."
You sighed, running your fingers through your hair.
"I– I have a solution in mind, but it's hard to swallow."
Your voice shifted to a hushed whisper towards the end of that sentence, and the despondency hit you like a truck. Was this even a good idea? Was telling her a good idea? What if she shuns you for such a thing?
"What is it?"
Silence settled for a moment, before you finally gathered the remnants of courage you had and spoke up.
"I'm..." you started, "I'm thinking of planting the lemons in his house. In his… backyard"
...
"His... house?"
"Yes."
Crap. The silence must be indicative of shock; she must be disgusted by this selfish idea, just like you were. This was the exact reaction you were afraid o–
"Ah, that's a great idea! I assume you visited his house before; do you still have the keys?"
"I do. He gave them to me."
"Perfect, then yes, I think you should do it!"
Ying cried out in excitement, all of the professionalism she feigned melting like ice cream on a hot summer day, all because of you. Presumably in public, considering the bustling you still heard from the other side.
So much for maintaining her mellowness…
"Yu told me once about how dead his house felt, no matter what he’d do. This could be the most ideal solution to that!"
"In what way is that the solution?"
You said with a wry laugh as you opened the door and went back inside, but Ying wasn't bothered by your pessimism whatsoever.
"Because gardening is the perfect contrast to death!"
...
"Pardon?"
"When you strip down all of the complicated details, gardening is technically giving life to an inanimate object, Y/N! You take a seed, something no different from a– a rock– a pebble, and nurture it. You turn it into a tree, and it's amazing! It's an extraordinary process!"
You were expecting her to mention the still air, how having plants there would freshen it up, or the fact that his house was generally abandoned and it would be more beneficial to just use it, but this wasn’t what was in your mind.
"...Ying, look, I respect your fascination with philosophy, but this is–"
"Not only that, but a tree is a being that benefits everything around it. It– it replaces the oxygen, it bears fruit, and it returns what it has taken from its environment!"
"Ying."
"Think about it! When you picture a ghost town, what comes to mind? Now imagine that ghost town with a touch of mother nature. Fascinating, right?"
Oh my god.
She seemed far too swept away with this topic, as if these thoughts had been festering in her head for the past few months with no outlet... until you came into the picture. Wait just a second, was this why she wanted you to go back to gardening? Or maybe you were just overthinking things.
Your words, however, fell on deaf ears as you tried to drag her back down to reality.
"I think you should understand how valuable gardening is, Y/N–"
"Ying!"
"Yes! Yes, I'm sorry, I–" She tittered, clearly embarrassed. "I must've gotten carried away."
“It’s fine.”
She already sounded cheesy throughout this entire ordeal, but this was starting to get out of hand. You sighed, unable to stop yourself from smiling like an idiot as you stared out the window, observing a family of three hopping on a bus.
In fact, it wasn't too far-fetched to assume that Ying had a high opinion of you for your gardening just as Yu did this whole time, and she was indirectly telling you now. What else could possibly explain this random tangent?
…An idea promptly popped up.
"Look, Ying, I have to go. I need to… do something."
You immediately stood up from the couch and left to take out the sealed bag full of seeds stashed deep within the kitchen’s cupboards.
“Do something?”
"I'll ring you up later. We'll keep talking about this on Monday."
All Ying did was successfully add on to your confusion for the past few minutes, sure, but maybe she also ignited a bit of inspiration in you, given what you were doing. Then, you turned and grabbed a few keys from your drawers, shoving them in the pockets of the thick coat you were about to wear.
"Oh, I see. I’ll let you do whatever it is you want to do. And if you’d like any help, I’m one text away."
Despite being on the other side of the phone, you could feel a misplaced cheeky grin force itself on her face. One that, as opposed to the merry and artless one from before, would absolutely look weird on someone as mature and mellow as her. Well, as mellow as she tried to be. She just couldn’t hold back around you, for some reason.
But it still seems like she caught on.
“Break a leg out there."
And with that, you closed the call and pocketed your phone, rushing down the flight of stairs. Only two more minutes until the specific bus you aimed for would arrive, and you did not want to miss it, that’s for sure.
Ying's little tangent was so incredibly cloying, it nearly gave you a headache by the end of it. She spoke like a mum who watched way too many soppy movies from the 90's... Well, you might've caught her recommending a few to your co-workers.
But it may have been exactly what you needed to get you on your feet. You were going to plant those seeds. And in her words, 'bring life back' to that house. You weren’t going to allow the pessimistic side of you convince you otherwise.
Now that you weren't in on call, you were free to take out one earbud and play music once more whilst you ran towards the closed gates.
❤ฺ·。
Winter, two and a half years ago.
Even after a considerable amount of time had passed, Yu’s house remained just as empty as when you first visited it. ‘It’s because I moved most of my stuff to your apartment!’ he explained when you questioned him on it. But if that were the case, why were most of them blankets? Even the bloody misters he brought along were purchased from the stores situated outside of your complex.
Oh, who were you kidding? It was on par for someone like him to own only heaps of blankets and hoodies.
And even though this was your second time visiting it, the place felt lonelier than before, for some reason. The rooms felt vast, despite how tiny they really were. Mostly thanks to the echo and the lack of furniture, but that’s by the by. And that wasn’t to mention the photos strewn around the walls. More specifically, the family photos. They left an impact on you despite being few and far between.
Across the living room was an arched doorway that led to what would’ve looked like a black hole had it not been for the sunlight. That’s where you two stopped whilst Yu was fiddling with his keys. And instead of letting yourself in, you allowed the dark patterned wall to lead you to something you probably shouldn’t have found so interesting.
Hung above the fireplace was a picture you could hardly see thanks to the dim colour scheme that blended in with the surrounding darkness. Nevertheless, you still managed to outline two specks of purple on a toddler’s eyes, surrounded by stunning green foliage and the Russian violet coat of a woman who carried him.
It was… Yu. Being held by, presumably, his mother. Or his grandmother; it was hard to tell. Who knew he looked like such a cute baby? Also, how the heck did his round cheeks morph into the slick jawline he has right now?
“Remember how you showed me your balcony a while ago?” Yu’s voice swiftly snatched your attention, “I’d like to show you something in return.”
“What is it?”
He moved down the short hallway and opened a cherry door to his left, his steps muffled by the crimson carpet flooring.
“I left a few keys in my bedroom, can you get them while I go to– uh, while I… do something?”
He looked at you with an innocent smile, awaiting an answer. Just like the painting, his bright eyes brilliantly shimmered in the darkness. In fact, now that you’ve seen him as a baby, it became harder and harder to resist saying yes.
“I'll be back.”
And with that, you moved to his vacant bedroom.
Though there were bedsheets, the bed still lacked a blanket. Which, to be fair, should be expected at this point. Once you flicked the light switch, you promptly took off your shoes and stepped on the large patterned rug, nearing the dusty furniture.
Incidentally, the patterns didn’t fit his style, now that you thought about it. In fact, the entire house looked like it was decorated by someone older. Much, much older. And Yu was way too dorky to fit that criteria. But whatever.
Searching was easy at best, especially since most of the drawers on the vanity table were empty. Within a few picoseconds of opening and slamming them, you were done, and had already moved on to the closet that harboured a few hoodies at best. Where the heck was the key?
“Yu, where is it?”
You called out, your voice echoing through the house. And it took only a few seconds before he shouted his response from what seemed to be… outside?
“On the bedside table, it should be on the right!”
You sighed and moved to the one on the right.
But just as you pulled the drawer back, you heard a large gust of wind billow through the house. Accompanying that wind was a cold sensation that forced you to shiver as you searched.
“What’re you doing out there, Yu?”
The moment you slammed the drawer shut, he presumably closed the door as well and prevented the air from further entering.
“Nothing! I’ll show you when you’re back.”
‘When you’re back’, huh? Jeez, you weren’t sure whether he was preparing something cute or trying to stop a disaster from happening.
“Careful. You have no idea how high my expectations are getting.”
He responded with a barely audible chuckle, and your cold heart just about melted. Since the top was empty, you pulled back the bottom drawer instead. However, just as your eyes settled on the objects inside, your mind went blank.
A medallion glimmered under the weak lights above you. And despite the darkness, you could outline an hourglass symbol etched onto the reflective object. But that wasn’t what concerned you. What concerned you was the gun that sat right next to it.
Why was there a gun?
“Did you find it?”
You jumped and shut the drawer, turning to see him standing behind you.
“Uh– no, no I haven’t.”
“Really? I know I put it there.”
Within a few steps, Yu already found himself right next to you, and he pulled the first drawer open, grabbing the keys that were concealed by the sharp shadows.
“Here it is. It must’ve been the lights.”
“I… guess it was.”
There was a gun in the bottom drawer.
“Are you okay? You look pale.”
He cupped your cheek in his hand, wiping away a bead of sweat with his thumb. Just as he did that, however, you quickly broke the embrace and took a step back.
“Yes, I’m fine. I just need some air.”
He was surprised. That much, you could tell.
“Oh… Okay, follow me.”
He promptly led you outside and took a sharp turn to the right, leading you towards a section of the house you haven’t explored yet. But that didn’t concern you. Instead, you kept your eyes on the ground as you followed him, unable to control the questions that took over you. Why would there be a gun in his bedroom? Should you bring it up? And what about that medallion? It was next to the weapon…
Okay, maybe you were overthinking things. It could be some band, or something. Maybe the gun was fake. Heck, maybe you didn’t see a gun at all. Maybe you were–
“Here, you’ll need this.”
Your thoughts were knocked out of your head once you saw Yu grab something from the nearby wall and hold it up to you.
Turns out it was a robe. He took it from the nearby coat stand. Long and soft, its pristine beige tufts were highlighted by the sunlight. It was only once your eyes settled on the wooden double doors did you realise that he planned on taking you outside…
Oh.
“You have a backyard?”
“Mhm.”
He draped the robe over you, allowing the thin yet warm material to enfold and protect you from the oncoming wave of cold. Then, he opened the door and let in even more sunlight.
You stepped out and observed the area around you. Closed off by a fence of stone, heaven itself stood before you… if it weren’t drowning in snow. Thanks to the winter season, what would’ve been a stunning tree was instead a massive dead log that barely held itself, its branches protruding outwards in a sickly manner.
You took a few steps forward as you took in the place, allowing the fresh air to fill your lungs.
“If I were you, I’d only leave this place in the winter.”
“And let your fruit die?”
You stopped, taking a moment to process how that related to the current conversation. And it only took a few seconds for it to click.
“Is that your way of inviting me to plant here?”
He shrugged innocently.
“You said it. Not me.”
You smiled and allowed him to pull you into a hug, your head pressing up against his chest. Despite the misapprehension that he was, ahem, ‘subtle’, he was the exact opposite.
“Shouldn’t you build a swimming pool here? For summer…”
“Hmm. That’s an idea.”
He thoughtfully mumbled to himself, before something else caught your attention. The hoodie that he wore was loose, now that he had taken off his jacket and scarf. It revealed a good portion of his neck.
However, before you could point this out, he pulled away and spoke up once more.
“I don’t like spending too much time here, to be honest. Too many… uh, memories. But maybe…” he weakly smiled, “maybe you’ll find this place more useful than I ever could.”
With his hands in yours, you felt an unfamiliar texture on your palm. It was only when he pulled away that you realised that he had given you the two keys from the bedroom drawer.
“These are the spare keys. You gave me yours; it’s… only fair I give you mine.”
You stared at him in silence, the ice cold metal settling in the warm palm of your hand. But instead of feeling some sort of joy, you felt your stomach churn at the thought of the gun.
Even without said gun to cloud your mind, you had no idea how to feel about this. Should you be happy, sad, or relieved? How did he feel when you gave him your keys? It was as if you were unappreciative of anything he did, like sadness was the only thing your mind knew how to feel. And that wasn’t what you–
His hand landed on your shoulder, snapping you out of your panicked frenzy.
“Are you okay?”
You sighed.
“Yu, I–”
You were torn between asking him about the gun and admitting how you felt. Either way, it was a lose-lose dichotomy.
…
You grabbed his hand, fingers interlocked like two puzzle pieces connecting.
“You’re cold.”
“Hm?”
If you were stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, you might as well dig yourself out, right? And that’s what you did.
You pocketed the keys, then held his hand in both of yours to check his temperature. And you were right; he was starting to get cold. Very cold.
“It– it’s not that bad, Y/N. Really. The hoodie is warm enough.”
“Don’t start with that. You’ll get a fever.”
A misplaced grin painted his features.
“Really?”
You grabbed him by the collar and pulled him closer.
“Shut up and come here.”
Yu lightly laughed as you wrapped the soft robe around him, bringing him to you to share your warmth. Of course the thought of you nursing him back to health was tempting to him. Knowing how cheesy he was, you’d have to be watchful so that he wouldn’t orchestrate something like that.
With his arm around your shoulder, you took out the keys again, sombrely observing their shape.

______________
"See you tonight," Felix gave you a quick peck on the cheek before leaving you at your usual study spot.
You smiled at him and waved bye as you sat down across from Hyunjin. He rolled his eyes at you and mock-threw up. "Stop that," you playfully hit his arm.
“You’re busy tonight?” Hyunjin tried to sound casual about it. This was the fourth night in a row where you had plans with Felix. He barely has time with you nowadays except for your study sessions that Felix could no longer attend because of his taekwondo practice. It took everything within him to tolerate Felix but he didn’t want to lose what little time he did get with you.
“Yeah we’re going out for dinner,” you answered, taking out your books. Exams were coming up so you had been trying to keep up with all your work.
"What time do you think you'll get home tonight?" Hyunjin asked for purely selfish reasons. He felt reassured that you had not spent a night with Felix, always coming home alone after your dates. Not that he really cared about your sex life- he assured himself. No, he didn’t care but he didn’t like Felix and he didn’t want him touching you.
"You can't stay over," you hastily said. After every one of your dates, you had come home to Hyunjin waiting for you, ready to take his spot next to you in bed. You were grateful that Felix was not the jealous type because you often had guys who had wanted to choose between Hyunjin and them. Hyunjin always won.
“Why not?”
“Cause I may not be coming home alone tonight,” you giggled. You appreciated how sweet Felix was but you had been dating for long enough and you were starting to get impatient. Your makeout sessions were getting more and more handsy and always left you wanting more. You had the cutest lingerie picked out for tonight and you hoped that you wouldn't be left wanting more once again.
Hyunjin glared at you, his jaw tensing at your words. "Why exactly won't you be coming home alone tonight?"
"Um cause Felix might stay over," you gave a questioning look to Hyunjin.
Hyunjin willed himself to see past his rage. If he said anything it would just cause another argument between the two of you. He started packing up his stuff and got up.
"Where are you going?" You asked.
"I have to meet up with someone." He said coldly and started walking away before you could say anything.
——————
You opened your door to let Felix in. He handed you a bouquet of flowers. He’d been getting you some every week so you never had a day your vase went empty. “I’m almost ready,” you smiled at him as you picked a pair of heels to slip on.
“You look beautiful as always, Love,” he kissed you on the cheek as he held out his hand so you could walk out together. You took his hand, blushing at the nickname he had taken to calling you. Since you and Felix had officially started seeing each other, your moments with him left you nervous, heart beating fast, and trying to overcome the butterflies that erupted whenever he touched you.
Felix wore a black button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up perfectly displaying his forearms. You admired the veins popping from his arm as he gripped the steering wheel, following one vein down to his hands. You began to imagine how those hands would look wrapped around your neck. You shook your head to get rid of the thought. Being with Felix recently had been mostly frustrating. Here was a gorgeous man and after spending time with him and with your make-out sessions getting more and more intense, all you wanted was for him to pin you down and fuck you.
Tonight you dressed as sexy as possible. Everything was shaved and you had on the cutest black lacy lingerie under your skimpy dress. You sat across the table from Felix, once again lost in the thought of his toned arms and his fingers, the ways he could use them. You managed to get through most of your dinner joking around with Felix, allowing you some reprieve from your earlier thoughts but you hadn't forgotten about your plan.
“What’s on your mind?” Felix asked pulling you out of your daze.
You looked at him, summoning all of your confidence you said, “Nothing, just thinking about all the things you could do to me for dessert.” You gulped, trying to battle the nerves that arose from your statement as you waited for his reaction.
Felix coughed, choking on the sip he had just taken of his drink. He looked at you in awe, not used to you being so blatant. You had been very shy since the night you both watched the sunset. Felix had only been encouraged to take things even slower with you. He adored how shy you would get, only making him want you more, but he hadn't wanted to push you. This was a new side to you that he was seeing, "What's gotten into you, love?"
Instead of replying you kicked your heel off, his reaction fuelling your confidence. You traced your foot up his calf under the table, earning a surprised look from him. His look quickly turned to a smirk as he leaned across the table to whisper, "You’re being really naughty today baby. Are you sure you can take the punishment?”
You weren’t sure if it was his deep voice or his words, probably a bit of both, but it sent a chill up your spine. You could feel the heat from your core rising to your cheeks to cover them with a blush. You were grateful when Felix waved over the waiter and asked for the cheque so you could finally leave the restaurant. Your panties were already wet as you climbed into his car. Your heart was beating in anticipation as Felix drove.
The hand that he had placed on your exposed thigh was beginning to inch upwards. You were craving his touch as his fingers pressed up your thigh, giving your flesh a little squeeze. Finally, his hand reached your panties but instead of touching you where you needed him, he fluttered his fingers on the edge of your underwear. You let out an embarrassing whine asking for more.
“What is it, baby? Can’t be patient?” Felix teased. You squirmed in your seat as you continued to soak through your panties. Felix chuckled as he kept teasing, slipping one finger under your panties. “Fuck.” Felix groaned, “You’re already so wet for me.”
“Please,” you were shamelessly begging him now for some stimulation. Felix continued to trace the outside of your labia while you bucked up, trying to get more stimulation than he was willing to give.
Felix clicked his tongue when he felt your hips jerk, moving his hand away from your pussy to trace up to your chest. Your dress had been far too revealing to wear a bra so Felix was easily able to trace over your hardening nipples through the thin fabric. He pulled more moans from you when he pinched the sensitive buds. You tried to snake your hand down to provide yourself some relief but you were too slow. Felix quickly grabbed your hand, "You've already been so naughty, Love. Are you sure you want to add to your punishment?"
You gave him a pleading look to no avail. Any ounce of dignity you had disappeared as you begged the gorgeous man sitting next to you for just a single touch. Felix was kind enough to bring his fingers back to your core, letting his fingers lightly trace over your clit. He began to tease one finger at your entrance. "Felix, please."
He smirked at you, "What is it, baby?"
"I want you to fuck me." If words could make a man cum, those words would be enough for Felix to bust. He tried to keep his composure as he searched for a place he could pull over. He had wanted to wait until you both were home, but at this rate with the way your words dripped with lust, he didn't think he could last for the entire drive.
Felix located an empty parking lot and pulled the car in. You climbed onto his lap as soon as he shifts into park. Felix giggles, "You're so impatient"
Before he can let another word out, you crash your lips onto his pulling him into a deep and messy kiss. His tongue traces your lips and you give him entrance letting him deepen the kiss further. You both swallow each other's moans and you begin to grind down on his hardened length over his pants. You both gasped in harmony, finally feeling the friction you needed.
Felix's hands were all over you, feeling every curve of your body as you continued to grind down on him. He squeezed your ass before tracing over your back to resume playing with your nipples. He pushed the straps of your dress off of your shoulders, allowing the flimsy material to fall and reveal your bare breasts to him. He just stared.
"What is it?" you started to feel a bit self-conscious under his gaze.
He managed to peel his eyes away from your chest, looking up at you with lustful eyes, "You're so fucking hot."
You blushed at the comment. A moan left your lips as you felt Felix latch his puffy lips onto your nipple while pinching the other one between his fingers. You couldn't get enough of him. You started to clumsily unbutton his shirt until you reached the waistband of his pants. You took your time unbuttoning his pants and lowering the zipper. You pulled out his painfully hard cock, admiring how much precum was dripping out of him. You wrapped your fingers around him and rubbed his precum over his tip using your thumb.
'He's so tall and handsome as hell. He's so bad, but he does it so well,'
Felix groaned as he felt your fingers wrap around him. He brought his lips to your neck, nipping and kissing all the sensitive spots he's mapped on you, and brought his finger back down to your sopping pussy.
'I can see the end as it begins, my one condition is,'
You slowly began to stroke his length as you felt his finger push into you. He fucked his finger in and out of you before adding a second finger in.
'Say you'll remember me, standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset, babe.'
The car was filled with moans as you ground down on his hand, riding his fingers and feeling his palm brush against your clit. He bucked his hips, trying to fuck your hand. Between moans, you whispered in his ear, "I want to feel you inside me."
'Red lips and rosy cheeks.Say you'll see me again,'
Felix quickly pulled his fingers out of you and lined up his throbbing cock with your entrance. He slid his length along your wet folds, making you jolt as he rubbed his tip over your clit. He began to tease your entrance with his tip
'Even if it's just in your wildest dreams.'
You froze, finally taking notice of the music. You almost ignored it, but you knew your mind would wander if you didn't acknowledge it. You looked apologetically at your boyfriend, "I'm sorry baby. I just need a second."
You reached over to the passenger seat, grabbed your phone, and answered the call, knowing who it would be before you picked on account of the special ringtone you'd assigned to him. "This better be important." The words came out in a whimper as you felt Felix's tip enter you.
"Y/n?" his words slurred, giving away how drunk he was. "I was scared you wouldn't pick up," you heard his voice break as he said these words.
Worry clouded your eyes as you placed a hand on Felix's chest to signal him to stop his movement. "Hyune, what's wrong? Are you okay? Do you need me, tell me what I can do," the questions frantically spilled from your mouth. Hyunjin barely cried, there was something wrong.
"I miss you-" his sentence was cut off as you heard him gagging.
Another voice was on the line now, "It's Chris. Are you able to make it over? He's a mess, almost and he won't listen to us, he's been begging to talk to you."
"Yes. I'll be there soon." You hung up the call. Your heart which was racing because of Felix just a minute ago was now pounding in your chest as you worried about your best friend.
Felix looked at you with a fallen expression that he was trying to conceal, "where do you need to be?"
"Can you take me to Hyunjin's?" You moved back to the passenger seat when Felix nodded yes. Both of you tried to look decent and then were back on the road. You looked straight out of the windshield, nervously chewing on your fingernails. Your attention was distracted for a second as you felt Felix's hand wrap around yours and give it a reassuring squeeze.
"What's going on baby?" He asked between clenched teeth, knowing that whatever was going on was because of Hyunjin. He tried to keep his cool, always reminding himself that you were dating him and not Hyunjin. You had chosen him. But damn Hyunjin was starting to really get on his nerves. This better have been important because if his date had been ruined over a tantrum, Felix would have some choice words for him. The only thing that had held him back until now had been his respect for you and not wanting to appear too possessive and controlling.
You were too lost in your thoughts to recognize Felix's rage. "I'm not quite sure, Hyunjin is a drunk mess and he sounded so upset. Apparently, he's not listening to anyone and was asking for me. I should've noticed that something was wrong. He's been a bit distant lately and he left so abruptly. I should've asked him what was bothering him." You felt so guilty for not being there for him. He knew how to party but Hyunjin rarely let himself get wasted. And allowing himself to cry in front of others, there had to be something really wrong.
You almost shot out of your seat as you neared the familiar house. Whatever event had been going on had started to die down by the time you reached. You smiled over at Felix giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, "I'm so lucky to have you. Thank you. I promise I'll make it up to you."
Felix's heart softened with your gaze, allowing him to momentarily calm down his anger, "Of course Love. No matter how late it is, please call me for a ride home. You can also stay over at mine if it's too late."
You gave him another smile before saying your goodbyes and rushing into the house and up the stairs. You turned the corner into the bathroom and found Han, Changbin, and Jeongin crowding at the entrance. You pushed past the familiar faces of Hyunjin's frat brothers to find him with half-closed eyes sitting on the floor with his legs splayed out in front of him and leaning against the toilet. A very concerned-looking Chris sat next to him, trying to get him to drink some water.
You squatted down in front of Hyunjin, taking one of his hands into yours, "Hyune, I'm here."
Hyunjin gazed at you through his lashes, giving you a sleepy smile. You could see where the tears had stained his face, eliciting a pang of pain deep in your stomach. You never liked to see Hyunjin upset.
He turned his hand so that he could intertwine his fingers between yours. He pulled you towards him, causing you to lose your balance and land awkwardly on his lap with your face in his chest. He held you tight against him in a big bear hug, making it difficult to move.
“Fuck.” You heard Chris curse. This was followed by 'ooohhhs' and 'you're in trouble now' by the rest of the boys who were still in the bathroom. You tried to pry your head out and see what the commotion was about. You looked up to see Chris, dripping from the water that he had been trying to coax Hyunjin to drink, likely as a result of Hyunjin pulling you. Somehow the water had avoided the both of you, landing only on Chris. You let out a giggle, enticing the rest of the room to burst into laughter as well, including Hyunjin. Chris gave him a small punch in the arm, it seemed innocent but considering his physique, you were sure it must have hurt a little.
Hyunjin let out a dramatic cry, "Owwwwww, Y/n he's hurting me."
You were relieved, happy to hear Hyunjin return to himself after the sad state you had heard him in earlier. "I think you deserved it. Now let me go."
"Never." Hyunjin let out a contented sigh, holding you even tighter as you struggled.
"You boys could help me," your voice came out muffled as your face pressed into his chest. Changbin and Jeongin fought with Hyunjin managing to help you escape from his grasp. You looked down at Hyunjin, still slumped over on the floor. “Do you feel better? Are you done throwing up?”
He nodded yes, briefly lifting his head, his face covered in a pout after your great escape.
You turned to the boys, “Changbin help me get him up, Han and Jeongin grab him some food and water. ” You didn’t do much to help Changbin drag Hyunjin to his room. Hyunjin groaned when Changbin tossed him onto the bed, rolling over onto his side. The boys had already put a couple of slices of pizza on his side table.
You sat down next to Hyunjin, rubbing soothing circles on his back. “Hyune, get up. You should eat something and then you can get some rest.”
“I don’t wanna,” he was still pouting.
“Okay, then I’m gonna go since you don’t need my help,” you teased.
He reluctantly sat up, facing you and opening his mouth, expecting you to feed him.
“You’re such a baby,” you teased him while you fed him. You handed him a water bottle after he was done. “Drink, I’m gonna get something to clean you up a bit.” Hyunjin complied and you returned with his toothbrush and a warm washcloth to wipe his face. You went into his closet, picking out some sleep clothes for him. “You need to change into PJs.”
Hyunjin just lifted his arms, “I’m too tired, I need help.” His words were still slurred.
“You’re wearing a button down you idiot,” you said as you pushed his arms back down. You began to unbutton the black shirt he wore, giggling when Hyunjin squirmed when your light touches tickled him. Your breath hitched when you had finished unbuttoning the shirt. It had been a while since you had seen him like this. Had he been working out? He had a perfectly toned torso with washboard abs. You helped him slip off the shirt, not failing to notice his muscular arms.
“Stop staring,” Hyunjin’s words brought you back from your daze. “Pervert!!” Hyunjin covered his chest with his arms.
You just rolled your eyes, slipping the t-shirt over his head. “I am not changing your pants for you.” You turned around to give him some sort of privacy. You could hear the struggle as he tried to change his clothes while drunk. “Are you done? Are you okay?”
“I did it,” you turned to see Hyunjin on the floor again, now wearing his pajama bottoms and grinning proudly. You helped him back into bed, settling him under his blanket before picking up his clothes and tossing them into the hamper. You moved the garbage bin next to his bed, just in case he did feel sick.
“Are you comfy?” Hyunjins hummed contently. “Okay. Goodnight, I’ll check in on you tomorrow okay?”
Hyunjin slightly got up from his comfy position, “can’t you stay? Please stay.”
It was pretty late, and you were tired after helping him into bed. “Okay, I’ll stay, lie down I’m just gonna take a shower.” You went and grabbed yourself one of his t-shirts to change into, and a towel before going in to take a hot shower. The shirt covered more on you than your dress had so you didn’t feel the need to wear sweats. With how much heat radiated off of Hyunjin you would be sweating anyway. You climbed into bed next to Hyunjin expecting him to be asleep already. You sat up and opened up the book you’d been working your way through on your phone, not quite ready to fall asleep yet. Hyunjin felt you getting settled, he moved towards you, placing his head in your lap, and wrapping an arm around you.
“I thought you were asleep,”
“I am,” Hyunjin said with his eyes closed. You laughed, running your fingers absentmindedly through his hair. You felt Hyunjin’s hand on your exposed thigh, rubbing small circles along your leg. You could feel that familiar tingly sensation beginning to form. You grabbed his hand, hoping to stop whatever was going through your mind. You chalked it up to you being a little extra sensitive because of your unfinished business with Felix earlier in the night, choosing to move on from how Hyunjin’s hands had just sent sparks through your body.
Hyunjin wrapped your fingers in his hand, “your hands are always so cold.” Both of you sat happily in silence as you kept reading through your book.
“I love you,” Hyunjin interrupted the silence with his slurred words. You looked towards him, finding him looking back at you.
You gave him a warm smile that truly came from within, his words warming you up. “I love you too Hyune.”
“You do?” He looked at you with wide eyes, looking like a kid at that moment.
“Of course I do. You’re my best friend,”
Hyunjin settled his head back down in your lap, closing his eyes with his lips forming a small smile. “You shouldn’t love too many people, it’ll get diluted.”
“Hyune, that's not how it works. You can love lots of people, there’s not a limit.”
“It’s less special then.”
You giggled, hearing his childish tone as he tried to argue with you, “You’re very special to me. Don’t worry.”
“Okay.” He seemed happy with your answer.
----
You woke up well before Hyunjin. Still tired from the late night, you decided to enjoy the warmth of bed a little longer, scrolling through insta on your phone. Hyunjin clung to you as usual so it wasn’t like you could move anyway and you didn’t want to wake him. You were momentarily released as Hyunjin turned, allowing you to get up and grab a glass of water and painkiller for Hyunjin before settling back into the warm covers.
Hyunjin peaked at you through squinted eyes and groaned, “Why do I feel like shit?”
You handed Hyunjin water and the painkiller. He sat up a bit, gladly accepting it. “You were so needy last night,” you teased him.
Hyunjin’s head snapped to look at you, “what?” He said nervously, still blurry on the details of the night before. He wasn’t sure if he had said something stupid in front of you.
“It’s okay,” you reassured him, “I forgive you for taking me away from my date night.” You had mistaken his nervousness for guilt over his actions. You turned to look at him as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. His hair was a mess and his face was scrunched up.
“Why are you staring at me?” Hyunjin said.
“You are just so cute,” you pinched his cheek as he gave you a death glare.
“I’m not cute, I’m sexy.” You just giggled at his response, reaching to pinch his cheek once again. This time he grabbed your hand before you could get to him. His other hand began to tickle you.
“Hyunjin noooo!” you screamed between your tortured giggles.
“I’ll stop if you say Hyunjin you’re so sexy” You shook your head in refusal, unable to get words out at this point. You tried to use your free hand to tickle him back but soon lost that too. Hyunjin easily pinned both of your hands above you as he continued to tickle mercilessly. “All you have to do is say it.”
You kicked your legs, still trying to win. Finally succeeding, you knocked Hyunjin’s knee. He lost balance and his tickling hand landed beside your head as he stopped himself from falling onto you, his face just inches away from yours. You should have moved but you were frozen in place, the only thought in your mind was the way you could feel his breath fan against you. Hyunjin loosened his grasp on your hands, allowing you to free your hands but you didn’t move. You were drowning in his dark eyes as your heart thumped, loud enough that it drowned out any sound around you.
Hyunjin was the first to move, clearing his throat and sitting up, letting go of your hands completely. You were still frozen in place, trying to get your brain to become functional again. You managed to croak out, “Breakfast?”
Hyunjin, already red-faced after getting a look at you, turned his head to look away from you, “Um-uh do you want pants?”
It was your turn to blush. The little tickle fight had left you disheveled with the t-shirt you wore riding up your stomach, exposing your very skimpy underwear. You scrambled to cover yourself, wanting to die from shame and cursing yourself for not wearing pants. “Yes please,” you squeaked out. Hyunjin quickly climbed off the bed, quickly tossing a pair of sweatpants your way before walking out of the room and closing the door to give you some privacy. You whisper-screamed into a pillow trying to figure out how you could be around Hyunjin after exposing yourself like that. After taking a couple more minutes to wallow, you slipped on the sweats and made your way downstairs to the kitchen. You were a bit relieved to not see Hyunjin there. Instead, you saw Chris working away to cook breakfast and the boys fooling around at the table.
“Good morning,” you said as you took a seat next to Seungmin.
“How do you want your eggs?” Chris asked from the kitchen.
“Scrambled please.”
“How was your date?” Seungmin teased you.
“So did you two finally make it official?” Han piped up before you could say anything.
You nodded your head, a bit surprised that Han knew about you and Felix.
“Really? We thought so because Hyunjin hasn’t had anyone around in a while but we haven’t seen you either so we weren’t sure,” Jeongin added.
“I don’t know why he’s been such an ass recently then. You gotta make him more cheerful Y/n,” Changbin added.
The boys spoke so fast that it took you a second to process the conversation. “No, I’m dating-” you were interrupted as Hyunjin entered the room and loudly pulled out the chair at the edge of the table closest to you. “Felix” you finished after he sat down. “The date was good but cut short,” you answered Seungmin, glancing over at Hyunjin.
Chris came in, balancing plates with food for everyone. Everyone said their thank yous and began to dig in. “We need to figure out where we’re staying this spring,” Chris said as he took a seat as well. He was referring to a spring break trip they had been planning and you’d been invited to as well.
“Are you going to bring your boyfriend?” Han looked at you. The rest of the boys followed with ‘oohhs’ making you blush.
“I think I will. If he’s not busy we can add him to the list.” Hyunjin choked on his food while you were talking. You patted his back hoping to ease his coughing. “How are you feeling?”
“Gross,” Hyunjin managed to croak out between coughs.
The rest of breakfast was spent planning out more trip specifics. You headed back to your place after, needing a shower and to prepare a sorry for Felix after last night.
----
You were greeted by Minho when you got to Felix’s. Instead of a greeting he let you in and pointed to Felix’s room. You walked in and saw Felix sitting in front of his computer with his headphones on and entranced with whatever game he was playing. Not wanting to bother him, you took a seat on his bed, putting your sorry gift on his side table.
You were startled as you heard Felix scream. He took off his headphones and said, “When did you get here?”
“A bit ago. I brought sorry lemon squares,” you pointed to this dish on his table.
Felix came to sit next to you in his bed, pulling you close to him, “You didn’t have to do that baby. You don’t have anything to be sorry about.”
“You’re sweet but I am sorry for ditching our date. Thank you for being so understanding,” you rested your head on his chest.
“There is one thing bothering me,” Felix said hesitantly.
Concern clouded your eyes as you looked at him, “what is it?”
“Did you go home all alone? Did you get a ride from someone else? You didn’t ask me for a ride and I was worried. It’s not safe for you to be walking so late at night.”
“I’m sorry. I should have texted you, I thought you were asleep already. I didn’t go home alone. It was late so I just ended up staying there. I really am sorry, I’m not that used to having people worry about me.”
Felix didn’t feel all that great about you staying the night in a frat house but he decided to hold his tongue, not wanting to sound jealous. “It’s okay baby,” Felix gave you his warm smile letting you know he meant it. “How was Hyunjin?” He asked, knowing he didn’t care about that but wanted to know what exactly had happened that would justify cutting your night short.
“He was just drunk and upset. I think he just wanted a friend nearby. But there is something wrong. He just isn’t telling me what it is yet. Even the rest of the guys said he’s been off recently but I guess he’ll tell me when he’s ready.”
“Do you know all of those guys well?” Felix pried.
“I’m not super close with them all. Seungmin and I are pretty good friends but I know the rest of them,” you answered. “Oh, that reminds me. Do you have any plans for spring break?”
“Nothing solid, what were you thinking of?”
“The guys have been planning a trip for ages, will you come with me?”
“Of course. I wouldn’t want to spend the time with anyone other than my girl.” His words made you blush. Felix had taken to calling you sweet nicknames pretty early on but this was the first time he had called you ‘his girl.’
“Stop it. You’re making me shy,” you hid your face in his chest.
Felix reached for your chin, pointing your face up so you would look at him. He placed a soft kiss on your lips before peppering your face with kisses, “You’re so cute.”
Felix and you settled in his bed, deciding to watch a movie. Just as you had picked one you heard a familiar song playing.
“Hey, did you get some rest?” You answered the call.
“Yeah, what are you doing?” Hyunjin said, still sounding a bit groggy like he had just woken up.
“I’m over at Felix’s.”
Hyunjin let out a dramatic sigh, “will you ever have time for me again?”
You tsked at him, giggling at his antics, “You get most of my time. Let’s plan something though, if you feel neglected.”
“Do I need to call your secretary to schedule Ms. L/n?” Hyunjin replied sarcastically.
“Okay grumpy, I left a treat for you in the fridge so hopefully that’ll put you in a good mood.” You had stopped by Hyunjin's on your way over, hoping that your lemon squares would help brighten his mood.
Hyunjin sounded a bit perked up, “Did you make my favorite?”
“Yes, I did. I made extra for the boys so share!” You heard Hyunjin grumble a bit about sharing but he reluctantly agreed. “Okay, I’ll see you tomorrow, bye-bye.” He hung up before you could confirm if you were free.
“He really likes interrupting us,” Felix huffed out when you hung up the call.
“I think he’s not used to having to share my time,” you gave Felix a peck on the cheek. “You’re sounding a bit jealous,” you teased.
Felix looked at you with darkened eyes, causing the grin to fall from your face. “You have no idea. He gets most of your time?” Felix asked deeply.
Your mouth was dry, unable to answer the question as you took in his new demeanor.
Felix gripped your chin once again, this time much more roughly than before. Bringing his face close to yours he said, “I don’t want to share you, baby.” His voice was so low, every word sending shivers down your spine. His face was so close to yours that his lips ghosted over yours with every word. You tried to reach up to close the very small distance between the two of you but Felix roughly held you in place. “Are you impatient now princess? What about last night? You didn’t have an issue then.” Felix drew a bit away from your face to lock his eyes with yours. “Do you want to make it up to me, love?” You gulped and gave him a steady nod, studying his dark eyes that were flooded with lust. Felix placed a chaste kiss on the side of your mouth before whispering in your ear, “Green for keep going, yellow means this is good but no more, and red for stop,” the tickle of his breath stimulated you more, a wet spot forming in your panties. “Is it okay if we keep going?” Felix pulled away to look at you and you nodded. “I need your words, baby.”
“Green.” That was all it took. Felix crashed his lips onto yours, pulling you into a messy kiss. His hands were quick to explore your body, slipping under your shirt and tracing over your lace-covered breasts.
He pulled away from you, “off.” He helped you tug your shirt and pants off leaving you in the pretty lace lingerie you had selected. Felix looked you up and down hungrily before positioning himself on top of you and kissing your neck. You moaned as he sucked on a particularly sensitive spot, definitely leaving a mark behind. You tugged at his t-shirt, feeling like it was a bit unfair that he was still fully clothed. Felix ripped off his shirt and pants, returning between your spread legs and continuing his kisses along your collarbone. He kissed down to your clothed breasts, sucking on your nipple over the lace. You let out whimpers at the sensation, moving your hips up to grind against the bulge visible in his boxers.
Felix groaned at the friction but quickly moved his hands to pin your hips down, “you just keep being such a bad girl. Don’t you realize you’re in trouble?”
You screamed as he delivered a firm slap to your clothed pussy before resting his hand on the lace, running his index finger gently over the wet fabric of your panties. You shuddered at the light touches, “Please Felix? Let me make it up to you. Stop teasing me.”
“Yeah?” he groaned out in that low voice. He stood up, getting off the bed and motioning you over him. You scrambled up and stood in front of him. He let a chuckle out at your eagerness. “Kneel.”
You dropped to your knees, now eye level with his bulge. He pulled his boxers down and his dick sprung out, hitting his stomach. His tip was leaking and behind the facade Felix felt like he could cum just from the way you sat with your mouth hanging open, waiting for him to fuck your face. He tangled his fingers in your hair, pulling it so your hungry gaze was drawn away from his cock and you had to look at his face. His dark eyes softened for a second, “tap on my thigh if it's too much.”
Felix pushed his tip into your mouth, slowly sinking deeper until you felt him at the back of your throat. You wrapped your lips around him, hollowing your cheeks and pressing your tongue on his length. Felix moaned lowly, pulling out of you. When he didn’t immediately thrust back into your mouth, you leaned forward, taking him into your mouth. “Fuck, baby,” Felix’s moans continued as you bobbed your head on his cock, taking him deep into your throat. You gagged around him as he started thrusting harder, fucking your face. Your eyes teared and you drooled around his dick. Felix took in the sight of you, roughly yanking your mouth off his dick by pulling your hair.
You stared up at him, pupils wide and consumed with lust. Your panties stuck to your core, you were practically dripping on the floor now. “I want you to cum in my mouth baby.”
Felix pulled you up, bringing his lips close to your ear he whispered, “I don’t think you’ve been nearly good enough to be making requests. On the bed, now.”
You quickly followed his command, eagerly waiting for him to touch you. You needed to be touched so badly. Felix pulled you to the edge of the bed so that your legs hung down. He knelt before you, face so close to where you wanted him most. “You want me to touch you, baby?”
“Yes, please. I need it,” you begged him. You gasped as you felt him lick a stripe along your clothed pussy, bucking your hips trying to prolong the contact.
“You’re such a slut. So wet just from sucking dick.” Felix licked you once again, treacherously slow. You were writhing, begging him continuously to give you more. Finally, he ripped off your panties, tossing them across the room. He ran a finger through your wet folds, flicking your clit in the process. This was enough to cause you to jolt. Felix continued the motion with his finger, slowly flicking your clit and watching you jolt each time. You could feel the heat pooling but his slow motions weren't enough to make you cum.
“Please, I’m good, I’ll be good just fuck me, please,” you begged shamelessly.
Felix finally relented, grabbing a condom from the drawer of his side table and rolling it on. He lined himself up with your entrance. He wanted to tease you further but he needed to feel you around him. He thrust into you, filling you up and stretching your walls. Your walls spasmed around him and he stilled for a moment, letting you get used to him but also warding off his orgasm which he knew would come embarrassingly fast if he didn’t pace himself.
He began fucking into you, moving slowly at first as you still adjusted to the way he stretched your walls. You were a mess of moans, not letting out anything coherent. He quickened his pace, bringing his hand down to rub circles around your clit, pushing you closer to your orgasm.
“Are you gonna be good? Are you gonna cum on my cock?”
You moaned out a string of ‘yes’ as you felt your orgasm approach. Your body spasmed as he fucked you through your high, coming shortly after with his hips stuttered. Both of you panted, recovering from your orgasms.
Felix joined you on the bed, pulling your tired body into his arms and gently kissing you. He pulled away and looked at you. He really looked at you, eyes locked with yours as if he was trying to peer into your soul.
“What is it?” You asked under his intense gaze.
“I love you.”

if it isn't real, why does the sun still burn?
Chapter masterlist
Summary : Like most people visiting this tag. You have always dreamed of meeting Nagito Komaeda for real, what you would do, what you would say? Things don’t go as planned.
AKA: Reader from our universe ends up in danganronpa and is just trying her best to keep everyone alive. and maybe to make komaeda kiss her.
Contains: she/her pronouns, explicit sexual content, voyeurism
Read on Ao3
“Basically, we have an update.” Naegi says through Monomi’s face.
You had only just gotten home from the beach when the rabbit teleported herself into your room and Naegi started speaking to you in serious tones without even so much as a hello. You hadn't even had a chance to properly dry off, but things had turned so serious so quickly that you could hardly spare a thought for your slowly dampening carpet.
You push some of your salty hair out of your eyes, trying to ignore your racing nerves, “What kind of update are we talking?”
The almost immediate jump between your gentle flirtations with Komaeda to this incredibly serious conversation with the survivors of the previous killing game has you more than a little discombobulated. In all honesty, you had been planning to get home and jerk off about the Komaeda situation, so that only adds to the concoction of very confusing emotions that you are currently saddled with.
In a move that does not help your already electrified nerves. Togami decides to take the wheel for the first time ever , and hearing his voice come out of that rabbit makes you want to combust, “We are currently unable to get the second island open.” He begins, “It appears that upon ascertaining your goals, Enoshima has rerouted a substantial amount of her power to ensure that the island stays closed for good.”
That feels good. For all her posturing, you are getting to Enoshima. She is scared of you, at least a little.
“Luckily, this rerouting means less effort is being put towards keeping the other islands sealed. We should be able to open one of them.” A beat, “Based on the work you have been doing, we’ve all agreed that you should be the one to choose which one, if any.”
“Jesus, um, this isn't really an easy choice.” You say. Worrying your lower lip and beginning to pace back and forth. This is both good and bad news, in a weird way. Monokuma is absolutely going to take advantage of whichever island you open, but progress is still progress, no matter how you look at it.
You stop mid pace, suddenly remembering the quandary you had been puzzling over this morning, about how to handle despair disease should it actually be released. With a nervous smile, you turn to face Monomi where she still stands in your room, arms crossed over her chest in a Togami-like fashion.
“Before I make a decision…” You begin, “If, theoretically, Enoshima was planning to release a terrible, deadly and highly contagious disease with unpredictable symptoms and horrific implications for survival on this little slice of paradise.” You laugh, for some reason, “Could you do anything about it?”
Togami only says, “What.”
“That’s the next motive.” You clarify, “Monokuma calls it despair disease, and unfortunately it’s not really something I can handle from my end.”
Togami thinks it over for a moment, and then Monomi shakes her head, “We can’t easily prevent something like that with nothing to go off. Unless you can tell me what that disease looks like as code, which I’m assuming you can’t, then we are shit out of luck as always.” You don’t appreciate Togami’s tone. There is little to appreciate about Togami when his legs are out of view, “Okay, then…could you reverse engineer it? Once the code activates, find a way to… un- activate it?”
Togami scoffs, “You have such a way with words.”
“Yeah, well.” You cross your arms, “I like Imposter Togami-san better.” Monomi raises a tiny fist in your direction, and her eyes look as angry as the plush can manage, “You take that back! You-” “Byakuya.'' Kirigiri chides from somewhere in the background and Monomi returns to her default pose. Togami clears his throat, “Theoretically, yes. If the code is active, we could then order Alter Ego to counter it with some code of their own rendering Enoshima’s manipulation obsolete. Though, as with anything in an OS as complex as the NWPs, it would take some time.”
You sit on the couch, not even thinking about how the salt water might ruin the fabric, “I could stall for time, that’s the only thing I’m good at really.” you chew on your lower lip for a moment, “Could you make certain people immune to the disease, maybe?” Monomi shakes her head, and Togami says, “That would be more fine tuning than ending the code at the root, a waste of time.”
“Okay.” You say, more to yourself than to Togami, “In that case, I think we should open the third island. There’s a hospital there, and I’m certain that with a bit of foresight I can encourage Tsumiki-san to be more preemptively vigilant. Luckily I have foresight in spades, it’s kinda the only thing I have going for me.”
“It will take us a few hours to get the island open, we can try and have it done by breakfast tomorrow morning. Usami will let you and the others know when it’s done.”
You nod and then let your head hang loose. You’re tired, and there is going to be so much work for you to do tomorrow. It feels strange to thank the coronavirus for anything, but it is the reason you know anything at all about preventing the spread of infection. That, and a recent obsession with everyone’s favourite plague simulator: Pathologic. Regardless, you presume that the first three infected will always get the disease no matter what, even with all the protection in the world, so there is little you can do on that front. You can, however, make sure Tsumiki doesn’t catch it, and that will be the most important thing.
“Um, excuse me?” It’s Naegi’s voice coming from Monomi again. You lift your head to look at the rabbit, “I think we’ve been very patient with you until now, and I don't want to be pushy, but we’d all like some answers, you know?” You swallow thickly, “Answers…about what?”
Monomi nervously rubs her cheek with a paw, “Well, about how you know everything. We’re far beyond expecting any sort of betrayal from you at this point, I mean, we’ve been watching you almost all the time and we can tell you don’t want anyone inside the simulation getting hurt, but we’re still curious.”
You feel sick. It must show on your face, because Monomi takes a few steps closer and Naegi says, “You don’t have to tell us right now” then, from somewhere in the background Togami corrects, “Yes she does , Makoto.”
That makes you laugh, which is nice. You dismiss Naegi’s concern with a wave of your hand and take a deep breath to try and eliminate the nausea, “No no, it’s okay. I should tell you, I just don’t really know how to explain it myself and uh, I’m kind of not even sure you’ll believe me.”
“We are quite used to believing impossible things.” Kirigiri says, “I’m sure it will be fine.” You inhale a breath through your nose, and clasp your hands together to stop them shaking, “Alright…well, a lot of this is going to be speculative, I honestly don’t know all that much about how I got here but I’ll try my best. I um, I think that I am from an alternate universe, or something similar.”
Monomi nods slowly, even though she doesn’t speak, you get the sense that Kirigiri is still at the helm.
“In my universe, Ultimates as you have them, aren't really a thing? There are certainly people who are talented, and scouted to specific schools for that talent, but there isn’t like, one big school where all the talented people go, and these people aren’t really designated titles or anything.” You take a breath, wondering how much you actually need to explain, “Also the tragedy didn't happen, that’s a big thing. How I got from there to here is the part I’m a bit lost on, as far as I remember I just fell asleep and then woke up in the program.” “Alright, then.” Kirigiri replies, “Obviously there is no real way for you to prove any of this, so I suppose we will have to take your information at face value for now.” Monomi cocks her head to the side, “Though you still haven’t actually answered the question Mokoto originally asked you, how do you know so much about the future?”
“Hah, um. Well, I just wanted to explain the other stuff first, so this part wouldn’t seem as certifiably insane.” you laugh again, it’s a bad nervous habit you have only recently developed, “Where I’m from, this , meaning you guys and the NWP and Enoshima and the tragedy and literally everything ever. Is from a video game.” you stare at Monomi for a moment. You can hear some sort of ruckus in the background, but Kirigiri’s voice remains surprisingly even when she says. “Go on. How much do you know, tell me.”
“The first entry covers your killing game, from start to finish. You play as Naegi-san, so I only really know about how things went from his perspective”
“WHAT?” You hear Naegi exclaim, and then some shuffling as he takes over control of Monomi, “Can you prove it? Say something about me that the others won’t know.”
“You wet the bed until 5th grade.” you say without even thinking.
Naegi lets out a very loud yelp, and from somewhere in the background you can hear Togami chuckling to himself.
You wince, “Sorry Naegi-san, it was just the first thing that came to mind.” “No it’s fine, I understand.” He squeaks, “I guess that proves you aren’t completely lying or anything, please, tell us what-” “Hey wait! ” a new voice calls from the background, “Let me have a turn!”
Your brow creases, “Oh my god. You guys have Hagakure-san in there with you? Why do you have Hagakure-san with you?”
“Whoa! You totally knew it was me right away!” He is much closer to the mic now, but you can tell that Naegi has not allowed Hagakure to get his hands on the controls, “Tell me something about me!”
“I know you spent a few really gross days with Kuwata-san’s really gross cousin.”
You hear the sound of Hagakure getting shoved quite hard, and Naegi being told to shoo out of the way before Togami finally returns to the mic, “We don’t have time for any more parlour tricks. Explain everything you know up until this point, quickly, skip the unnecessary details.”
“Alright…” You say, and begin.
It still takes some time, even with you trimming the fat as much as possible. Togami asks a question every now and again, and he occasionally lets Kirigiri ask one as well, but otherwise, you just talk and talk and talk. It comes to you quite easily, part way through it stops feeling like you are talking to fictional characters and instead like you are just infodumping to one of your friends. You’re very good at that, so most of the words string together without you even thinking.
When you finally finish, Togami hums aloud, “This seems stupid and impossible, but you know far more than you should otherwise, and importantly, you also seem to know more than Enoshima does.” he huffs, “At the very least you can’t be working with her, or else you would have told her all of this before you told us. So that’s a comfort.”
“I really am trying to help.” You promise, “I know that it’s weird to hear, but from my perspective I’ve known you for years and years. I care about all of you, and everyone in the Neo World Program very deeply, I wouldn’t do anything to hurt you, I swear it.”
“Sorry, can I ask one more question?” Naegi says, “Scoot over, Byakuya.”
There’s a bit of shuffling, and then Monomi is back under Naegi’s control, “This is going to sound dumb, but it’s going to kill me if I don't ask.”
You shrug a shoulder, “Go ahead, I guess.”
Monomi wrings her paws together and then Naegi asks, “Do you think we’re…real?”
Togami scoffs in the background, “Of course we’re real, Mokoto.”
Naegi makes a panicked whining noise, “But if what she’s saying is true, then we’re just videogame characters, which means we aren’t really real , right?”
“I mean, I don’t even 100% get the semantics of this situation myself but I think you must be at least somewhat real?” You cringe, “Sorry that probably wasn't very comforting, what I mean is that while I know the way things play out, there is still stuff that isn't exactly how it was in the game. A lot of the remnants act more like real people than caricatures and things are able to change in ways the game would never allow. I guess that’s why I suggested that alternate universe theory. In my world this is a video game, but here it’s real. That’s the only conclusion I’ve been able to come to.”
“Then, I guess that’s all we have to go on for now.” Kirigiri adds, “You must be tired, get some rest. We’ll attempt to get the second island open tomorrow, Monomi will update you and the rest of the Remnants if we succeed.” You sigh, “Thanks everyone, I was worried you would think I’m losing it.” “Oh, we do.” Togami replies, and you hear what sounds like him taking an elbow to the gut.
“Don’t worry about it!” Naegi chimes in, “If we find time, we’ll see if we can figure out how you got here, there must be something for us to find in the code. We can ask Alter Ego to look too.” You reach out and pat Monomi on the head, she’s very soft, “Thanks guys, but don’t stress too much about it. Just focus on helping the remnants, I’ll be okay.”
“We’ll do what we can.” Kirigiri says, “You’re just as important as they are.”
You laugh quietly to yourself, “I’m not important, I’m just…unlucky.
---
You try to take Kirigiri’s suggestion to heart and get some rest. It doesn't come easy, after a very long shower where you spent the majority of the time with your forehead pressed against the cold glass, you dried off your hair and collapsed onto your bed to sleep. You had only been intending to take a short nap, but as it often goes, when you woke up again the sun had already set and checking the time you realise that you have also well and truly missed dinner.
You huff and swing your legs over the side of the bed, rubbing at your temples. You have a headache, which is just neat and you really can’t be bothered walking all the way to the market for painkillers, so you’ll just have to live with it. At the very least, you should get something to eat. Standing from the bed, you shove your feet into a pair of sandals and head out the door, not bothering to change out of your pyjamas. It’s been a weird day, emotionally, mostly. You had an uncharacteristically good time at the beach, but now you were saddled with the stress of an upcoming motive, one that will potentially get multiple people killed if you screw it up.
It’s still warm outside even though the sun has well disappeared beyond the horizon. You’re starting to yearn for winter, for cold, for anything other than the endless heat of Jabberwock island. There’s a warm breeze in the air, and apart from that and the waves crashing on the sand out behind the hotel, the only sound you can hear is your own feet hitting the boardwalk, it is nice outside at night, quieter.
Just before you turn off the boardwalk and start heading towards the restaurant, a light on in one of the cottages across the way gives you pause. It’s well past Monokuma’s announcement by now, and there’s little reason for anyone to be awake. You only need to walk a few steps closer before you realise that it’s Komaeda’s cottage, the light isn’t all too bright, likely just his lamp, but you’re always too curious for your own good and start heading in that direction anyway.
You freeze a good few feet away when you hear a sound . For a moment you think that you’re imagining it, but then you hear it again .
Is he…
You have to get a better look (well you don’t have to, but you do want to) so you scoot over closer to the cottage and drop down into a crouch under his windowsill. His blinds are still about halfway open and the window is cracked just enough that sound is escaping. For a moment you consider closing the window for him and leaving, just to make sure no one else overhears anything, but out of an inadvisable curiosity, you peek up just over the windowsill and affirm that yes , Komaeda is jerking off.
You cover your mouth to hide a yelp, spinning around and pressing your back against the wall of his cottage, trying to calm your breathing. What did you think you would see if you looked? You knew what was happening in there. God why is he so loud ? You cover your ears and squeeze your eyes shut.
It’s only when your legs start to ache that you realise you have been crouching below the windowsill for far too long, frozen in a mixture of shame, fear and something you are too embarrassed to put a name to right now. Readjusting yourself a little, you turn to face the wall and grip the edge of the windowsill, debating pulling yourself up for another peek. Why did he leave his window open anyway? He isn’t stupid.
Edging yourself upward just enough that you can see the top of his head, and then his eyes squeezed shut, his open mouth-
Is this lucky or unlucky?
The question enters your mind unbidden and you cannot stop thinking about it. If Komaeda turned his head and saw you creeping outside his window would that be good luck or terrible luck? This thing you are doing is terrible, but how Komaeda might feel about it is another matter entirely, and you have been confused about it to say the least, especially after he went down on you that one time.
You still don’t understand why he did that. He clearly doesn’t have any feelings for you apart from a passing interest, and you know that is only because he thinks you possess the ability of foresight.
He did seem to enjoy himself, but maybe he was just horny and you were there or-
He gasps aloud, ripping you from your internal monologue and back to the very real sight in front of you. Komaeda’s hand moves up and down in lethargic strokes, slow and deliberate. His free hand is tangled in his hair, loose strands of it clinging to his sweaty forehead. On one particularly firm stroke his hips jump up to meet his hand and a squeaky moan breaks loose from his lips.
Breathing hard, he removes his hand for just as long as it takes for him to spit in his palm, and then it’s back on the length of his cock, moving faster than before. You can feel yourself growing warm just watching him, practically glued to the glass despite knowing that you should not be here. His chest heaves with each breath, shirt pulled up high enough that you can see the way his stomach clenches when he rubs the pad of his thumb over the sensitive tip of his cock. Komaeda is very pretty, you’ve always known this. But here, now, with the thin line of moonlight reaching in through his open curtains casting a bright light across all his sharp, jutting angles, he looks like an artist has carved him from marble.
His mouth hangs open on a shuddering moan, lips moving to form the shape of a word that he ultimately decides shouldn’t be uttered, biting his lower lip hard to keep himself quiet. There is something balancing on the tip of his tongue, and he is afraid to say it aloud, to solidify it, to make it real.
You wait, for some reason, crouched below the windowsill, hoping to finally catch a glimpse of just what is on his mind. To understand him, to understand why he treated you the way he did despite it not being in his best interest. He keeps his mouth shut though, not a word escapes, nothing more than moans that grow louder and louder. You finally regain your senses and wrench your eyes from the scene. What Komaeda thinks about when he jerks off is none of your business. No matter how much you wish it was. You at least have the decency to push his window closed the rest of the way, so no one else walking by will hear him and try to put the memory of what you saw behind you.
Food is the last thing on your mind now, so you instead return to the lonely comfort of your cottage, knowing a restless night awaits you.

Khaled had found his box. He wasn’t supposed to go anywhere near the file box that held the physical remains of the man he used to be, but Thomas had caught him red-handed, sitting on his bed with his dog tags, his paperwork, and several old photos of him spread out across the bed. Khaled paled, visibly scooting up the bed and away from the contents of the box as he realized he’d been caught.
In hindsight, Thomas was not proud of his initial reaction. He couldn’t just beat the boy without reason, no matter how much he deserved it for directly disobeying him. He was owed an explanation, at least. Once he had calmed down enough, and once the wound from Khaled’s scalp had stopped cascading blood down his face, he decided to try a different approach.
“You know I told you not to go through that box, boy,” he said.
Khaled lowered the moist washcloth from where it was compressed against his head. What used to be a white washcloth was now dyed a splotchy pinkish-red.
“Why did you go through my box?” he asked. He caught Khaled’s face in his hand before the young man could turn his head away. “Why?” he repeated.
“I… thought it was where you were hiding the key, Master.” Khaled’s confession hardly rose above a whisper. He crossed his legs self-consciously in front of him. “I-I just wanted it off, I’m sorry,” he apologized.
Thomas shook his head. “Just for that, I’ll keep you in that thing a week longer. I will take if off when I am ready, not when you are,” he grumbled. He took the box in hand and started sweeping the stuff on the bed back into the box.
He paused as he was about to collect a certain picture. It was him, his squad –Callahan, Trémeaux, Robinson, Martinez, Kruger, and Kościelsky –and more importantly, his brother Tony’s team, standing around a crude edifice of water and sand and any bits of refuse they could find to fill in the finer details. In the sand in front of the group someone had scratched ‘Merry Xmas 2002.’
Khaled didn’t miss the involuntary smile on his lips as he remembered the sandman. “What is it, Master?” The unspoken request ‘can I see?’ bubbled just beneath Khaled’s inquisitive eyes.
Thomas passed the photo to Khaled. “We were having a slow day on the base, so some of the boys got together to make a snow man. There wasn’t any snow where we were, of course, so we worked with the next best thing!” He proudly poked at the picture with his index finger. “See the lit cigarette sticking out of his mouth? That was my idea,” he boasted.
Khaled hummed, studying the picture a bit more. He poked at the soldier whose arm was slung around the snowman’s shoulder. “Is that you?” he asked.
“Yeah. Nothing gets past you, huh?” Not that it was hard to tell; Thomas hadn’t changed his physical appearance too drastically over the last twenty years. “Think you can find my brother?”
The corners of Khaled’s eyes scrunched up as he concentrated on the old photo in front of him. It took him about three tries until he gave up. Thomas pointed to a skinny brunette leaning on Ferguson’s back. “That’s him. I know, we look nothing alike,” he said, answering Khaled (and everyone else’s) unasked question. “We had different dads, same mom.”
“Oh, um, I’m sorry, Master.”
He looked up from the picture to see Khaled’s frown. “Sorry? What do you mean?”
“Did your dad die, like mine?” Khaled asked hesitantly.
“What- Oh, no, Khaled, my dad is alive!” Well, last he checked, anyway. “My parents are just divorced is all. Same goes for Tony’s dad, he divorced and left us too.”
“Fuck your horse races, fuck your little bastard, and fuck you! Fuck this entire family! I am done, Maria, done!” Those were the last words that Thomas’ stepfather uttered before he never saw him again. In the violent deluge of a summer rain, the man he considered his father wrenched off his wedding ring and threw it at his mother’s feet. He then turned his back on her –on him, on Young Tony (Thomas’ brother and the man’s biological son) –turning away from them as if it were nothing to leave his own blood in the hands of ‘a piss-poor excuse of a mother and a self-absorbed monster without a conscience’. The sound of pounding rain muted his retreating steps.
“Oh…” Khaled’s voice trailed off.
“It’s okay,” Thomas lied. He gently pried the photo out of his hand and stuck it in the box, finally closing the lid as he rose from the bed to put it back underneath them. He redirected his thoughts from his absent father to the old photo. Only five people in that Christmas photo were still alive now, and none of them were his squad or Tony. Maybe one day he would be willing to tell Khaled about the blast. Maybe he would even be willing to tell him about his overreaction that would send him back stateside, right back into the brood of vipers he had sworn to leave behind. But until then, like every other uncomfortable thing about his past, it was just easier for Thomas to put it in a box, shove it under the bed, and forget about it.

Love you like Tony loves his own voice. Take care. 💖
A yellow cab pulls up and the window rolls down. You near warily and the door swings out. Matt sticks his cane out before he steps through, ducking his head lower than needed. He stands and you click closer on your low-heeled leather boots.
"Hey," you call to him, "right here, Murdock."
"Told ya, Matt's fine," he smiles in your direction and waves his arm, hitting his hand on the car door, "shall we?"
"I'm dying for a drink," you eagerly step past him and dip into the backseat.
“Hope you don’t mind, I was thinking somewhere that doesn’t feel like a cult,” he kids as he follows you in.
“Not at all. I’ve been to some dives in my day. Probably the most fun I’ve had,” you click the seat belt into place and sigh.
“I thought you were out of town,” he says as he feels around for the buckle.
“Was.”
“And...”
“Family emergency,” you answer.
“Ah, hope I’m not keeping you from that,” he replies.
“You’re saving me from it, trust me.” You cross one leg over the other and peer out at the city lights.
You’re uneasy. It’s not the spontaneity or even the fact that your mother is in the hospital and you have a thousand things to worry about. It’s more than that. You aren’t read to be back in New York. The glare of a red light twinges in your chest, hinting at the reason why.
“You alright?” He asks, breaking the silence.
“Uh, yeah, jet lag. Sorry.”
“I’ll try not to keep you out too late.”
“Just try to make me go home,” you challenge.
He chuckles and it eases your nerves. Just enough to get through the lull of traffic. He tells the driver to slow down and let you out on the corner. He pays and sidles out.
You follow and he taps around. He guides you to a bar with a dingy yellow sign. The furor from inside beckons to you. It’s somewhere you can fade into the background, even if your tweed sweater might make you stick out like a blackeye.
He tells you to find a table. You do and announce you’ll be in the corner. He assures you he can find you. You can’t help but admire how he moves through the world so effortlessly. You have your sight and can admit you’ve felt lost in the city rush.
You sit and wait patiently. Your phone vibes incessantly. You don’t look at the messages before you set it to Do Not Disturb. Your mother has doctors, the best care you can afford, and your sister can handle a few hours without tagging you in. Whoever else may be bothering you can wait.
Matt approaches with two pints, his can hugged beneath his elbow. You watch him in amazement. He kicks around with his fit until he finds the chair. He puts down one glass, then the other, and his can clatters to the floor. He retrieves it without missing a beat.
He sits by your shoulder and laughs, “I may have had a few before I came.” You laugh at his joke. He leans his cane against the table and reaches for his glass. He lifts it, “cheers. Hope you don’t mind a bit of lager.”
“I won’t turn my nose up at a free drink,” you clink his glass. “Especially with a good looking young man.”
He snorts, “not that young.”
“Oh no?”
“I know what I’m doing,” he affirms and takes a swig. You taste the thin foam. It isn’t the worst brew you’ve tasted.
“I could never doubt your expertise. A young and upcoming graduate. Isn’t that what the paper wrote?”
“It’s been a while,” he evens his tone and turns his head towards you. “You wanna take the edge off and I wanna take your panties off. I think we could make a deal.”
As crass as his suggestion is, you can appreciate his pointed approach. Your cheek burn like they haven’t in years. It’s been some time since a man didn’t make you feel anything but rage or disgust.
“I’m sure we can come to acceptable terms,” you extend your arm and hesitate. Suddenly you’re very afraid. You hover your hand before you make yourself clamp down on his thigh.
He sits back and drapes his arm on your chair as he grins and takes another drink, “you’ll have no objections from me.”
👜
The moonlight beams through the large square window panes, refracting off the silhouette of writhing bodies. The silver glow slats over Matt’s shoulders as he bends his head over your chest and nuzzles between your tits. You could blame the beer or the stress or a number of things but there’s no shame in you. You want this.
A cluster unfurls in your chest. A sensation completely new to you. You’re giddy. This man, this handsome, younger man, hasn’t let up for a single moment. He’s matched your energy every step of the way. The tension chains you together, locking you in the tunnel vision of sheer desire.
It might help that he can’t see you. That even with the sheen of moonlight limning your figure, he won’t notice the rippled lines around your hips and thighs, are the extra crinkles around your eyes.
He slips his hands beneath you and you arch your back as he unhooks your bra. He’s more agile in the release than any man you’ve been with. You could chalk it up to his familiarity with working without seeing but there’s a confidence in his movement that assures you it’s more than that.
You moan and close your eyes as he drags the bra down your arms and frees your chest. Your tits aren’t as perky or tight as they once were. None of you is. There’s a soft layer that covers every inch of you; arms, chest, stomach, legs. His hands worship it as if you’re a goddess in the flesh.
You shiver and hook your hand around his head as he takes your nipple in his mouth. The pressure tweaks and draws another sigh from you. He swirls his tongue around the beaded bud and you clutch his head tighter.
His other hand tickles along your side and follows the line of your pelvis. He brushes up and down as if savouring the feel of you. You run your fingers along his shoulder, muscles hard beneath your touch. He guides your panties down your legs and untangles them from your ankles before setting back to his mission.
He dotes on you, nosing you, nibbling, and nuzzling. He sucks and teethes, groaning as he reaches between your legs. He grazes along your lips and you shake, tensing then easing into him. You comb your fingers through his hair and caress his shoulder as he descends your body.
He kisses along your stomach, goosebumps prickling in his stead. His lip brush along your pelvis and you arch your back with a gasp. Your fingers curl as his soft tresses flow between them. You bring your hand up to clutch at your chest as his breath fogs between your thighs.
He presses a lip to the tender flesh. He trails up to your groomed triangle and traces the crease of your pelvis. He pushes against you with his nose and pokes his tongue out to taste between your folds.
He flutters his fingers up your leg and flicks along your entrance. You twitch as he laps at you long and slow. He hums in delight and encircles your clit with his lips. He sucks and gently rolls your bud between his teeth. You moan louder as he inches his finger into you.
He pushes down to his first knuckle and pulls back out. He repeats the motion as you quiver desperately. He sinks in to his limit and wiggles his finger as he rocks his head. He drinks you up as he draws his hand back again and lines up a second finger.
He delves into you as his mouth enthralls you. You writhe, legs bending, feet arching, breath trembling. You can’t get enough. You put your hands around his head and urge him on. You rock your hips in time with him.
You huff and heave, mewling and moaning. You push your chest up and drone as your climax blooms. Slow at first. Creeping along your thighs and stomach before flooding into your core. You squeal as your defenses shatter.
He wipes his lips along your pelvis and trails over your hip. His breath is shallow as he raises himself on his knees. He hooks his thumbs in the elastic of his briefs and tugs them down. His dick bobs out, rigid and wanting, all for you. He wants you.
You push yourself up on one elbow and reach for him. You pump him as he lets out a startled noise. You toy with him, stroking as you bring yourself up. You roll your thumb around his tip and he spasms. He catches your hand, stopping you.
He reaches for the waiting condom. He stretches it over himself as he gazes down at you. You’re happy you can’t see his face, that he can’t see all of you.
His other hand comes up behind your head and he pulls you into kiss him. You’re reticent as your lips meet. You don’t want that. You just want to fuck but it’s nice. You won’t spoil the moment.
As his tongue pokes along your lips, your chest plucks. Your eyes pop open and you grip him tighter. A memory flickers in your head. He pulls back to look at you and you release him. You shake out your fingers as your knuckles ache.
“Hey...” he whispers.
“I’m fine,” you cup beneath his dick and squeeze his balls, “just fuck me.”
You move on your knees and he sits on the mattress. You climb over his lap as you tease him and rub him against your wet cunt. He frames your hips with his hands and groans. You put him against your cunt and sheath him in your walls. You shudder and clasp onto his thick arm.
He feels along your side and chest as you settle onto him. You keep your face down and eyes closed. He hooks his hand around your lower back as you start to rock, your clit rubbing on his pelvis as you start your deliberate motion.
You slide your hand behind his neck and pull him closer. He buries his head between your tits and slips down to grope your ass. He guides you, groaning and growling as you ride him.
Another strike of fear courses through you and you recoil. Before he can react, you push him onto his back and he grunts in surprise. You pin him with your hand on his chest and roll your hips. You moan through your teeth.
You want this. You want him. It’s not like it was. Don’t think about that. Don’t think about him.
You bite your lip and dig your nails into his muscle. His rocky voice wafts into the air as he keeps a hand on your chest, his other on your thigh. You puff as you speed up.
“Mmm, oh, you’re so good,” he breathes. “Mmm, god.”
“Yeah,” you push your hand up to his shoulder as your other snakes down between your legs, “not too bad yourself.”
“Fuck,” he snarls. “Ah, wow, I... this is... ahhhhh.”
You grit your teeth and roll your eyes back. You play with your clit as the tension builds, coiling around your fingertips, mounting as the friction turns to fire. You babble as you chase your orgasm. You cum but don’t stop.
You have to keep going. You need to cling to this feeling. A rare moment of bliss breaking through the stony sharpness of your everyday existence. The one time you’re not trapped behind that icy wall. You are enshrined in the licking flames of your need.
He cups your ass as he eggs you on, muttering your name between airy moans. You buck hard, clapping down on him even as your bones aches. More, more, more.
You climax again. You can’t stop. You rip your hand away and slap it down on his other shoulder. You keep him at your mercy.
He grunts and lurches you suddenly. He rolls you over and pins you beneath him. He ruts into you, shaking the bed, crushing you into the mattress.
The ecstasy turns to panic as your chest constricts. You claw at his shoulders as your eyelids paint another seen inside. The metal walls of the elevator, the tickle of a coarse goatee, the taunting laughter.
Matt goes rigid and twitches as he reaches his peak. He eases his motion and exhales as he lowers his weight onto you. He rests his head beside your shoulder as you lay limp. You feel the pulsing behind your eyes, that heat that threatens to break through.
Your hand shakes and you touch his side.
“Let me up,” you whisper.
“Hm?” he shifts slightly.
“Let me up,” you demand, your usual sternness taking over.
He slides out of you and pushes off. You’re up in an instant, staggering around the dark and into the bathroom. You slam the door and hide on the other side. You stand in the blackness but can see your shadowy reflection. You growl at it and throw your hands up.
You are not doing this. You’re fine. You’re fine!
You can’t not be fine.

T The band’s in full swing as Viv crosses the threshold, a drink in each hand. Willie’s arms are wrapped around herself; Viv knows what it looks like when she’s content though, watching people move about the floor, mingling amongst each other. She also knows that’s not what Willie’s looking at, and the thought makes her snort as she closes the distance, passing off the beer. ( dance with me baby, viv/bucky )
R “Ron,” she giggles, hands settling on his shoulders as he starts trailing kisses down her neck. / “McCarney’s gonna be the goddamn death of me,” he grunts. / “You can’t keep blaming Rita for your problems.” / “Already am.” His teeth drag along her neck as his hands squeeze at her hips, her thighs. ( sad, beautiful, tragic )
I “I’ve got it. You got your camera?” Vicki pauses as he straightens out, and she shakes her head. Hoosier huffs as he slings his bag over his shoulder and brushes past her with a mutterance of ‘Jesus Christ’ that she doesn’t get to protest against. Maybe she felt a little weird about bringing her camera when Vera probably already had a photographer. ( no one quite like you, vicki/hoosier )
C Crowding him without trying, without really doing it — he was aware of Bucky, then, for a multitude of reasons, but the space between them was one of them. He could feel the grief coming off him in waves, then, and maybe part of it was because of the lack of space between them: shoulders mere inches apart, if that. ( my house of stone, your ivy grows, viv/bucky/brady/willie )
K Kissing her teeth, her gaze refocuses on Lorraine in full. “There’s so many things you could be doing. If— If it’s just about getting away, the WAC’s always taking new girls. Or if you hate the skirts then I’m sure one of the boys down at the shipyard could get you some kind of job up close and personal with the boats. I don’t get this.” There’s another silence between them: and I haven’t forgiven you for keeping it a secret, either. Vera doesn’t have to say it for Lorraine to know she’s thinking it. ( is it so hard to say?, pre-war lorraine )

The Sneeze Room
A Sven and Elex Rqst SnzFic
FT: Sick Remi
⚠️Content Warning⚠️
Fluff, Sick Fic, Contagion, cursing, bullying
Description: Sven finds a reason to compete against his brother, Draeko. Rightfully so, he tags his boyfriend Elex in, who is extremely apprehensive when he finds out a sick Remi is going to be there…
Author’s Notes: I really wanted to torture Elex in this one and what better way to do that than poke at his germaphobia with a disgusting contagious Remi! :^D I hope you like this one Nonny! Art, Remi, Sven and Draeko all by @aller-geez
Sven came racing into the living room, Elex was putting together some sort of lego project when the cat stumbled upon him, paying no mind to the fact his boyfriend was already busy, he began to buzz. “Babe! Babe! So, I was out at the park, right? And I ran into my insufferable brother, Draeko,” rolling his orange slitted eyes to emphasize his annoyance. “And cause he can’t help but torment me, he and his little friend Levi came to tell me that they’re entering a competition tonight,” Elex was paying little to no attention to the story his boyfriend was prattling on about, simply just trying to make sure he had the right bricks for the right parts.
“Yeah, and?” the badger scoffed at the idea of the leopard and the hybrid being able to accomplish any sort of competition between the two of them.
“It’s 25k and it’s an escape room! I told him I bet half that chunk, me and you could finish before them two,” snickering a bit at the idea but then crossed his arms. “However, they’re bringing Remi as an advantage because they said it was entirely unfair if it was me AND you, seeing as you can escape even a prison cell,”
“Heh, yeah I can,” Elex smirked, still tinkering with the colored blocks as his head grew a size too big.
“Okay, sweet, so you’re in then right?” the other lit up, almost completely ready to start bouncing off the walls he was full of so much adrenaline.
“Wait hold on, you said Remi is going?” Elex suddenly looked up from his project and over at his boyfriend, his face full of skepticism and caution.
“Yeah, why?” The cat suddenly paused, curious to his partner’s reserve.
“I’m not going anywhere near that fleabag,” the badger officially met his boyfriend’s gaze, his own clearly written in distaste now. “He’s been ranting and raving all over Barkbook about how he’s sick again, no, nuh uh, keep that sack of illness the hell away from me,” the germaphobe shuddered, just the thought alone of being next to that mongrel with his open maw expelling hundreds of bacteria at him….he shuddered.
Sven's voice was laced with annoyance, yet tinged with a hint of pleading as he tried to persuade his partner to take on the daunting quest. "Babe, please. We need you to take one for the team," he urged, knowing that their success depended on their joint effort and determination.
“N.O. No. Not doing it, he’s gross, he’s unsanitary, he’s also extremely fucking pigheaded and wont cover his god damn MOUTH, NO!” Elex now sat back, crossing his own arms over his chest, and turning his back to the other. Sven raised a thin brow and cocked his head to the side. It seemed he was going to have to pull out the big guns. Time for operation “Question his manhood.”
“So just like that then? Just gonna let that behemoth be the reason you don’t win this for us? Shit well, I guess I’m dating a pussy instead of a man,” the cat shrugged his shoulders loosely starting to turn on his heels when he could almost physically hear Elex’s last strand of patience, snap in half.
“Excuse me? What the fuck did you just say? That I’m a PUSSY?” the man slowly turned his head to glare daggers in the direction of his audacity filled boyfriend. “A PUSSY?”
“What? It is what it is, you’re scared of a little germy wolf, and that’ll be the reason I never truly out due Draeko, so long as he has that damn wolf,” shaking his head back and forth, clicking his tongue with disappointment. “It’s a shame, you know?” Elex’s mint green eye twitched in response, his fingers pulsating until they closed in to quick, tight fists.
His words were tinged with frustration and a hint of fear, as he vehemently denied being scared. "I'm not afraid…" he insisted, "just…CAUTIOUS... I don't want to risk getting SICK," He emphasized his words through clenched teeth. Despite his efforts to remain calm, the tension in his body was evident as his face flushed with a deep red color. Every muscle in his body seemed to be on high alert, ready to flee at any sign of danger. He was determined to stay level-headed, but the emotions were slowly creeping in.
“No, yeah, right, scared, cautious, pussy, same thing,” Sven clicked his tongue and shrugged yet again, and that was seemingly pissing the badger off even more than his words. How he was so careless and casual about denying his manhood, and his strengths?
“Fine! Fuck! I’ll go! But at the end of the day, if I catch whatever freak virus that asshole has, you’re gonna be the one nursing me back to health, you hear me?” He narrowed his dual colored eyes before aggressively, and less than politely, started packing up his lego project, mumbling to himself with disdain. “Stupid fucking Draeko…always having to trigger Sven into some dumb shit that I get dragged into….why cant that idiot have a….idk..donut eating contest or something? Why is it always so absolutely irritating…” the green haired man was fuming as he went back and forth between cleaning up his mess and keeping what he already had built, safe.
Sven couldn't contain a small chuckle, careful not to let the grumpy badger hear his quiet victory. He was determined to prove himself as smarter, stronger, and more resilient than that damn hybrid, by blowing him out of the water of this competition. With Elex’s innate ability to escape more situations verbally or physically, they had it in the bag.
~LATER THAT NIGHT~
They arrived at the venue, Elex feeling less and less inclined to be there as they parked and started to get out of the vehicle. “Are you sure I have to come? Like…I can’t just stay in the car?”
“No El, you can’t just stay in the car,” the Cheshire rolled his orange eyes impatiently, shutting the door and locking the vehicle behind them with the fob. “Am I really going to have to go into round two of the conversion stage?” the badger sighed deeply at his boyfriend’s response and grumbled back.
“No…please don’t bring my manhood back into this,” sighing with exasperation and an avoidant…distant look in his eyes. As they entered the building, the stench of sweat and stale air filled Elex's nostrils. He wrinkled his nose in disgust, grumbling under his breath about the lack of cleanliness of the venue alone. He followed Sven, who was already strutting towards the entrance, trying to present himself as much more confident than he was.
The two made their way through the sea of random people, avoiding the pungent smells and germs as best they could. They reached the registration desk and handed over their entry forms. "Welcome! You're just in time we start in 5 minutes," the speaker behind the desk said with a grin, handing them a map to their starting location.
Elex could feel the eyes of the other competitors on him, anytime he’d make eye contact with some unsuspecting visitor, he’d lift the left side of his upper lip and scowl. Effectively turning away lingering eyes with his threatening gazes. He then ignored their stares as he and Sven followed the map to their starting point. As they approached, they saw Levi, Draeko and Remi all standing outside a door marked “11” the same number given to them on their map sheet.
“Draeko,” Sven glared at his brother, the two sets of competing eyes glaring down at each other. The first thing Elex noticed however, was Remi, dry heaving and coughing into the crook of his elbow with sunken, swollen and pale glowing green orbs.
“Oh…dear god,” Elex whispered with a terrified expression written across his face. Levi looked up, and noticed the apprehension, and in usual fashion tried to soothe the badger’s worries.
“Hey, El, sorry, I know…but I swear, he’s on the mend! It doesn’t look like it but…I’ve managed to not catch it!” The cat nervously scratched at the back of his neck, voice slightly muffled as he was the only one adorning a mask. The badger narrowed his multi colored gaze.
“Okay well, do you have an extra mask?” crossing his arms over his chest in an impatient, but waiting stance.
“Shit, no sorry just this one…I mean you could have it if you wa-…” the cat embarrassingly shuffling through his pockets and jacket to see if he might have a second but coming up short. He knew he would, but he had to play it off like this wasn’t part of Drae’s plan to keep Elex at his lowest.
“No, no thanks,” shaking his head quickly in response, there was no way in fuck Elex was sharing a mask. YIKES. Especially not with someone he barely even knew. “I’ll just…try to…stay away,” Looking the sickly wolf up and down who could only smirk in response before jolting forward with his hands out to scare the apprehensive man.
“Boo!” Remi chuckled as Elex stepped back significantly to avoid the other’s sudden threatening touch.
“Remi! Knock it off!” Levi nudged the large man with his elbow, trying to hide a snicker of his own. ‘Fake ass bitch,’ the badger thought inwardly catching the leopard’s response. Despite the ongoing fued between Sven and Drae, and Elex at the rest of them, things were seemingly pretty calm at this moment, no insane bragging quite yet just narrowed eyes and stale, uncomfortable vibes.
Sven ignored the bickering three, his focus on the task at hand, scoping out the map and trying to see if he could already spot the first answer but it was really a whole lot of nothing. "Alright El, let's focus on the competition," he spoke without looking up, trying to bring their heads together on this, but Elex couldn't avoid the ill-fated wolf's stern emerald gaze, and the sight of him churned his stomach. He could practically envision the germs seeping from the wolf's every pore, a reminder of the bacteria that could infect him if he didn't keep a reasonable distance. He noticed the way the large man suddenly froze, and hitched…his mouth opening slowly. Elex now stepping back 3 notches when the wolf lurched forward and let out a loud, obnoxious sneeze that sprayed within the few feet radius in front of him.
“Hi”DTSCHIEW!!…SndDff…my bad..” he snarfed loudly, rubbing his wet, red, chuffed nostrils against the sleeve of his button up, Elex almost gagged.
"I think..." Elex began, but hesitated. "I think I made a terrible mistake coming here, Sven, seriously, this guy looks terrible, I want to go home…” he whispered to the side so only his boyfriend could hear his anxious worries.
Sven raised an eyebrow. "We just got here and you already want to tap out? No, don’t make me go into the pussy lecture again..” they both made eye contact now, each one’s gaze stern but neither of them broke.
“Fine,” the badger folded, knowing there really was no telling his boyfriend, no, when he wanted to do something. So instead, he pouted, and tried his best to avoid Remi’s consistent, slightly distant, but cold stare.
“Alright folks! We are getting ready to open the room doors, are you all ready to get going?” one of the hosts announced through a megaphone at the different teams all awaiting their entrances.
Sven, Draeko, and Levi nodded in unison, readying themselves for the challenge ahead. Elex, however, hesitated. He could feel the tension rising in the room, a palpable sense of anticipation that made his stomach flutter. He looked around the room, taking in the different faces of his friends and competitors, each with their own unique qualities and motivations. He swallowed hard and turned his face back to the door. He could do this.
As the host's voice boomed through the speakers, the doors buzzed open, and the group stepped forward. Sven and Draeko pushing and shoving at each other to get through the door first, fighting to take charge. He looked at the map in his hands, studying the intricate layout and trying to envision the path to victory but everything they could see ahead of them was on the paper as well. “Elex check out that right side of the room,” Looking over to make eye contact with the badger who was very apprehensive to move anywhere in that direction seeing as Remi was leaned up against the wall of that side, hanging on for dear life and certainly no help to the challenge itself. Sniffling loudly, his eyes rolled back, he wasn’t even sure why he was there at this point himself. He just did whatever Levi begged of him.
“Fffffuuu…—h’DttTISHh!” Remi sprayed violently in front of himself and Elex groaned loudly, looking back over to Sven who was now back to shoveling and fighting Drae to get a better look under the dressers and furniture. Taking a deep breath in, the germaphobe took a few steps closer to the wolf, that was directly blocking his way.
“Hey can you just…move a little that way?” His voice was neutral, he didn’t want to add too much emotion behind it, because he knew that Remi didn’t do too well with overtly emotional people. Despite that he was physically shaking, his brain swarming with the endless possibilities of illness and death that were haunting him, he remained calm enough to meet the other’s sunken gaze.
“Yeah, no cad do bud, Lebi wands me do keeb you from helbing…maybe, don’d be sugg a baby…SNDDFfF” the wolf tried to tease and chuckle, knowing full well he and Levi were really here to offset the badger. Elex’s brows furrowed and he let out a deep, irritated sigh before he shook his head.
“Fine, dont wanna move? Then I’LL move you my fucking self,” The badger stepped closer, and Remi stood up straighter, crossing his strong arms over his chest and smirking downward before letting in a deep inhale. “Dont….Dont you fucking do it,” the wolf could only grin larger despite the obvious tired look written behind his eyes.
Draeko, Sven and Levi all deeply invested in their searches for clues that they could not even spare a second to notice the ‘man off’ going on behind their backs.
“H-Hah!…” the wolf started, Elex took one step back, he winced but then took a deep breath, prepared himself mentally and shoved at the wolf to move him aside. “Oh-…Hell no,” Remi stumbled loosely to the side, truthfully not suspecting that the badger would grow a pair enough to stand up to him. He reached over, trying to grab the badger by the shirt but he was entirely too fast as he bobbed to the side.
“No! Just mOVE! Dude!” he argued as they did a sort of two step around each other, the badger quickly grabbing a painting off the wall to use as a shield while Remi finally blew his lid unable to contain the sneezes he was using as leverage.
“HNkt’KNXTuhh!! tch’ISSH! iH’tSSH!” the large man sprayed a cloud of salivic mist across the painted frame that was being held a good 6 inches from Elex’s body initially.
“This is my NIGHTMARE! Sveeeeeen!” he finally called out to his boyfriend, who gasped loudly as he turned around, the badger thinking finally he was going to be rescued.
“You found the first clue El! Great fucking work ! “ the spot to which the painting had once hung, was bare, but a single note in the middle of the empty space. The Cheshire snatches the piece of paper and covers his viewage of it. The badger practically turned into the saddest puddle in the world when his boyfriend walked right past him to immerse himself within the escape.
“Hey! Let us see!” Drae reached over to grab at the note the feline snatched it off the wall, but to no avail, completely unable to see what the clue was.
“NO! I dont have to for at least 5 minutes, Elex found it, thats the rules!” the green haired badger looked over at his boyfriend with a raised brow. Did his man just…whine? Like a child? Over rules? He shuddered. Everything about this was not right.
Sven huddled around Elex, both of them curious about the clue he had accidentally found. The cat held the note up, his eyes flicking over the contents. "This is a tough one," he said, shaking his head. "I don't know if I can see anything useful here…” It was just a bunch of lines in a strange pattern. What were they looking at? The badger knew he’d seen this before, somewhere in a codes book, he squinted and scanned it, suddenly feeling a harrowing feeling hover him.
Remi had been stood off to the side, but was becoming curious as he watched Drae and Levi who were desperately trying to peak around the two men. The wolf, still recovering from his sneezing fit, his nose red and raw, slowly approached the group, his open breathing mouth casting over the two as he towered them to read the note. Elex felt the entire world suddenly rattling around him as he felt the man, hosting his hot breath over them. “YO, dude can you, BACK the fuck up?” The badger immediately got defensive, backing a few inches away while the wolf could only snicker again, wetly, the sound of an inhaled and swallowed knot echoed around them. Elex’s lips pulled back in disgust. “GOD, You’re so fucking gross when you’re sick dude,”
“Yeah? Do someding aboud id,” the wolf flexes his chest as he stands firmly in his position, crossing his arms over himself and smirking with a cocky resolve.
"I’m going to-…” Elex begins to wind up his fist and Remi gets ready to respond appropriately, but the two of them are suddenly snapped out of it when the sound of Sven’s irritated voice cuts through them.
“Guys! Knock it off….here Remi, take it…shits useless,” The wolf goes to reach for the note but not before the badger quickly intercepts and snatches it from between them.
“It’s not useless, before Caveboy wonder here walked up to muck up my fuckin’ air …I know what it is…” he stepped away to stand on top of a chair he looked down and pointed at the ground. “There, it’s a super rough, detail-less pattern of the rug…snDff…” he sniffled, unexpectedly, unconsciously, at the end of his grand announcement, something, wasn’t right.
However as proud of the moment it was, immediately Draeko started clawing up the rug to find the next clue. The Cheshire looked over at his boyfriend with a look that almost made the green haired man want to let Remi just eat him. "My bad…” he said sheepishly before avoiding eye contact with his boyfriend who was now just trying to get over to the rug before Drae.
“This damn thing wont pull up!” The hybrid grunted struggling to lift the rug off the floor from any of the four corners, Sven, watching carefully to see what the loophole might be. Elex now climbing down from the chair he shook his head back and forth moving to approach the two before Remi side stepped him and blocked his path.
“Dude, move,” the wolf shook his head. “MOVE,” the duo color eyed man squinted at the miserable wall that was Remington Connors.
“Loog, normally, I lige you, ok, no hard feenings bro,” He paused before shrugging with certainty. “Buuuuuud…whadeber Lebi wands he geds so…" The green haired badger rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
“Are you fuckin’ kidding me? You can’t just allow me to play the game? Isnt that cheating? Two V One?” shaking his head, he could feel a slight tingle in the back of his throat, unbeknownst to him, the same tickle that was building every second within Remi.
“Yea bud…Lebi lowkey blows ad puddles,” he admitted of his little leopard before he hitched, his mouth falling open and before Elex could even step back, spewed outwardly in a loud, quick, spritzy series of sneezes. “ITSCCCCHH’ah!.. iH’tSSH!.. Hh’IISHH!” each one left him and greeted Elex, who practically went pale, his soul leaving his body as he felt each little droplet invading his skin.
“AAAHHHHHHH!!!” He cried dramatically, loudly, the whole room turned to look at him. “I want OUT! Let me OUT! Oh my god… that was so foul….WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!” The badger turned to scratch at the walls, tearing paintings down, knocking over objects wrecklessly in a fit of panic and slight rage. “OUT!! I’m DONE! I do NOT want to be in here with him anymore, nOPE!!”
“Elex! Elex! ELEX!” Sven tried to call his panicking partner who was probably only envisioning his skin burning alive from the amount of sickly contact he’d had.
“No! Sven! I quit, this sucks, I don’t wanna fucking do this anymore,” the cat sighed with disappointment and nodded.
“Fine…Fine…you can leave, it’s fine…” but the badger looked up and he could see the heart break written all over the other man’s face.
“No…nevermind…it’s fine…Um…” he walked over, and leaned into his boyfriend’s ear to whisper. “Try pulling at the middle of the rug…” trying to give his partner the assurance that he was still in this. Sven smiled, only pulled up half his face but regardless, it was a smile. The cheshire walked over, plucked at the middle of the rug and a small square of it came up and a little key was hanging from the bottom of it.
“Holy shit!” the teal and orange haired man was actually stunned to see his boyfriend’s street smarts were still keeping them ahead of the game.
“Fucking A…we were so close,” Draeko sighed with slight irritation, Levi patting his friend’s shoulder to comfort him on their second L of the night.
“Okay bud, where doed thad gey eben go? SndFf'…” the wolf interjected, sliding his sleeve across his running, reddened nostrils. Elex grimaced.
"Ugh, okay there can’t be too many keyholes in this room right?" Elex replied, still bothered by the germy, contagious raven haired man, feeling his own immune system losing the battle against him.
"Well, it's a key...to where? Do we have any idea?" Levi asked as he examined the small key hanging from afar as Sven held it up.
"I don't know," the other cat admitted, "but we should probably start looking around…" He gazed about the room and amongst the many scattered objects on the ground, Sven having to manually turn and check, taking in the chaos caused by Elex's fit.
"Alright...let's move on, then," Draeko agreed, trying to control his frustration.
As they began searching the room for more clues, it didnt take long before Remi was back at it with following the badger around, hovering his every movement. “Look dude, if you’re gonna be on my dick, fine, but at least cover your fucking mouth….I’m already starting to feel light headed” he started to palm at his forehead, testing his temp. “I swear if you get me sick…”
“Heh, probably already are pal,” the wolf stated with another cocky grin plastered across his stupid, red and tear stained face. Levi looks over to see the two of them back at it, bickering over the fact that his boyfriend was pretty disgusting when he was sick. All according to plan. The leopard looked high and low but all three of them were falling short of finding anything that resembled a key hole.
Elex trying to look around the stupid wolf, immediately noticed something off about the wallpaper that was exposed in a spot one of the paintings had been hung up in, but couldn’t get himself to focus with Remi constantly stepping in front of him. “Okay dude seriously! Stop! You’re pissing me off,”
Elex growled, attempting to shove his way past the wolf, but Remi simply laughed and stepped back further, crossing his arms as he sneered. Elex took a deep breath, trying to calm himself and focus on the task at hand.
Sven, noticing Remi's irritating behavior, quickly stepped between them. "Look, this is straight up blocking, which is cheating, stop," he said, placating him with a stern glance. Remi snickered putting his hands up defensively now.
“My bad, my bad…snDddFf..” stepping to the side he snarfles loudly, his glowing gaze never leaving Elex as the badger cautiously walked past him now.
“Jesus…” Elex shook and then finally stepped close to the wall he had been trying to get a better look at. There was an obvious bump, like the wallpaper had been poorly placed over it. “This is weird…” he ran his flattened palm over it and then began to slowly peel the paper away. Levi stood up, taking notice now and watching along side Sven, Draeko deeply invested in the search still, he hadn’t even noticed the rest of them found a hint.
The badger carefully peeled away the wallpaper, revealing a hidden door behind it. "Babe, I think I found something," he said, excitement creeping into his silently whispering voice trying not to draw too much attention despite the fact Remi and Levi were watching. Well Remi actually had stopped watching to check his phone, he was more than bored being there.
Elex, Sven, and Levi quickly gathered around, staring at the door in disbelief. It was small, but they could all easily squeeze through and nondescript, blending seamlessly into the wall. "Well, let's see where this leads," Sven said unoptimistically, inserting the key into the lock. It clicked as he turned it. The door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit hallway with a faint flickering light at the end. "Well I mean…" the badger said, crawling inside the medium sized entrance that wound him up into a tall but cramped hall. There were large body sized mirrors that followed down. Elex took a deep breath but felt his anxiety creep in when he realized they would all be stuffed in this hall together with Remi.
As they ventured deeper into the mysterious corridor, Remi's lingering coughs began to echo through the narrow space, causing Levi to place a hand over his mask to double shield him from his boyfriend’s germs. Draeko and Sven shared a worried glance themselves but it was quickly melted and masked into that of competition again.
The hall seemed to never end, and the flickering light grew dimmer with each step. The group was getting increasingly claustrophobic, and the smell of Remi's sickness filled the air. Elex’s head felt hot, his throat feeling tighter than it had been and he was starting to sweat at each side of his temples. This wasn’t good. He needed to get through this puzzle, and lock himself in his room away from Sven if he could. “H’H…Hih…HHH…” they heard it from behind them as they squeezed through the hall.
“Please no…” the badger whimpered but not before long the horrendous sound of germs being displaced around them, they echoed in their ear drums and the badger could see the mess of salivic clouds misting painted reflections in the mirrored walls.
“iit”shHIEW! ihh-ih’TSSHHH!!” The other three men shuddered in disgust, covering their mouths and noses as Remi continued to hack and sputter. "We need to get out of here," El said, his voice cracking with panic.
Sven nodded, his face pale as he took a deep breath. "Quick, let's hurry…we’re getting closer to the light we just gotta keep going…” the cheshire managed to motivate the weary crew that continued to push through, but to their dismay, the light was nothing more than a mirror at the very end of the hall reflecting off the light above it. “So what it’s just a long hall of mirrors?” he asked with confusion.
“I guess so…SNdDf…” Elex sniffled, this time realizing it, and quickly snapping his hand over his face to hide it from the cat. “mMmhh…” he hummed as if he was deep in thought. Sven noticed the peculiar behavior but decided to pay more attention to this, apparent puzzle they were locked into.
“Okay, so maybe…one of these mirrors are the door?” Draeko and Levi looked at each other and immediately started peeling mirrors off the walls to check behind them. Quickly, Sven followed suit. “Come on babe! “ El was starting to feel worse for wear as he tried his best to keep it all under wraps, and at bay. It was seriously insane how fast Remi’s super germs spread through one’s immune system and just disables it.
As the group frantically searched through the hall of mirrors, Remi continued to sneeze and cough relentlessly, his horrible and contagious sounds “Hh’IISHH! -hd’ISCHhh!” echoing through the cramped space. Elex could feel himself growing weaker with each passing moment. Disgusting, defeated and downright disappointed. He took a deep breath and forced himself to focus, his eyes scanning the crowded reflections in search of a clue.
Suddenly, he spotted a slight distortion in one of the mirror surfaces. He pointed it out to his boyfriend silently by walking up to him and nudging the cheshire. They both approached the mirror quietly and they hesitantly began to pull, revealing a hidden door behind it. Sven immediately inserted the key into the lock and turned it, the door creaking open to reveal, the very large warehouse they had started in.
They reached the end. “Congratulations!” Sven threw a fist in the air and snickered throwing his index finger at his hybrid brother.
“In your face! We finished first!”
“Oh, actually, you guys are 4th place…but you made it out and thats always a reason to celebrate!” the crew cheered for them and both Sven and Draeko’s faces fell with defeat and disappointment. Elex shook his head and slapped a hand over his forehead.
“We were in competition with EVERYONE in the ware house??”
“Y-yes, that was explained in the sign up and rules section,” the man seemed confused as he looked at the frustrated green haired male. The badger could only shake his head back and forth.
Elex couldn't believe their luck - or lack thereof. Fourth place in a warehouse full of competitors was not the outcome they had hoped for. Deflated, he turned to the group of people he’d come with, who were also wearing expressions of disappointment. So he was basically going to spend the next few days in bed, deathly ill without 25k to smooth it over.
Sven let out a frustrated sigh and Draeko kicked at the ground, mumbling under his breath. "Well, at least we made it out," Levi said optimistically, trying to lift their spirits.
Drae nodded, forcing a small smile. "Yeah, you're right, We did make it out in the end." He glanced over at Remi, who was still coughing and sneezing uncontrollably. "But I think it was probably a mistake bringing Remi…I have a bad feeling we’re all gonna be worse for wear tomorrow," he said, concern evident in his voice.
Remi waved him off weakly. "I'b fide, you guys will be fide too, id’s judt a liddle cold," he rasped trying to clear his throat after the fact.
“Yeah well…this was a bust,” the badger grumbled, his fever starting to burn hotter, his body weaker by the minute as he tried his best to stay focused on getting back home and maybe locking himself up in the shower.
Remi, on the other hand, wasn't doing much better as he continued to sneeze and cough, his entire body wracked with chills and a throbbing headache, the cold he had caught threatening to take him down. “Huh’GDTS’ue! hdt’ishhhh!” the sound of his fit causing Elex to jump out of his skin.
“Alright guys, I’m gonna get him home and in bed….this was fun!” The leopard took his mate by the arm and began to lead him to the exit of the warehouse leaving the three left to stand in awkward silence. Sven avoiding Drae, Drae avoiding Sven, And Elex just desperately trying to swallow his symptoms of illness. He was sweating at a much more profuse rate now.
"Let's get out of here," Sven finally spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. Elex nodded, staying quiet knowing that is boyfriend was probably feeling extremely defeated after all that effort they just put into trying to win. Draeko didn’t say a word to either of them, simply dialed up his phone and called his demon for a ride. Elex definitely wanted to make sure he was gone before that asshole showed up.
They made their way out of the warehouse, the door creaking behind them as they emerged into the cold night air. The three stood in silence for a moment, each lost in their own thoughts. Elex clutched his chest, feeling the weight of Remi's germs bearing down on him with each crushing inhale.
Sven shook his head, a look of disappointment spreading across his face. "We should've never come here," he muttered to himself. "We should've known better than to trust that idiot to have given us all the information ahead of time,"
Draeko sighed, glancing over at his brother, shaking his head. “You know, Sven, I was almost actually starting to just enjoy spending time with you by the end of this…but you’re just so stuck on the past, it’s really a shame,” the hybrid furrowed his brows before ditching the two with their own thoughts. The badger dare not speak, knowing 7 was already feeling fragile enough.
As they walked away from the warehouse, the frosty air seemed to penetrate Elex's every pore, making him shiver involuntarily. His fever was raging now, and he could feel the cold settling deep within his bones, but he dare not pay it any mind as they made the trek to the car.
"I can't believe we actually went through with this and lost," The words escaped Sven's lips in a low, grumbling tone, barely above a whisper. His body posture slumped as he dragged his feet closer to the vehicle now.
Draeko's eyes clouded over, his thoughts drifting to the harsh words he'd spoken earlier. "Yeah, if they hadn’t been so focused on cheating we might have had a chance," he said after a moment, his voice low and tinged with annoyance.
For a moment, they fell into silence, each lost in their own thoughts about the night's events. Elex could feel his strength ebbing away, his body screaming out in protest as he struggled to keep his footing.
"Let's just go home," Sven said pressing the fob twice to unlock the car, they both slid inside, silently, they started the drive back home.
“Can I play some music?” Elex asked nervously, truthfully he couldnt stand the silence and he needed to drown out the possible noises of him struggling for his life on their way back.
Sven sighed heavily, glancing over at his boyfriend, who gave him a flushed, but innocent smile. He pressed a button on the stereo, and the familiar strains of their favorite band filled the car. For a moment, they let out a sigh of relief, lost in the music. But the awkwardness that haunted them was deafening, and Elex knew he couldn’t hold back his overbearing symptoms any longer. As the music played, and the cat white knuckled the wheel as they drove without a peep, the badger slunk in his seat and allowed his face to fall from the mask a bit. He felt like shit.
His head was on fire, his body felt cold, he was shivering and sweating at the same time, he very steathily, pulled a tissue from the side of the door. He then crumpled it into his sleeve and brought his hand up with the tissue hidden behind his sleeve, he sniffled gently into it. Softly rubbing, trying to relieve himself of the itch. Sven was lost in his own universe, unaware of his boyfriend’s suffering.
Meanwhile, the misery was slowly but surely getting the best of him, and yet he couldn't bear to disturb Sven, he knew that he would only feel worse on top of losing. He couldn’t also deal with the fact he’d forced his boyfriend into illness. The music filled the car with a melancholic melody that somehow seemed to comfort them in that moment.
As they drove through the empty streets, Elex's fever raged on, the cold that had settled deep within his system now spreading to his very core. The heat of the car seemed to only magnify the discomfort, and the pain in his head was becoming almost unbearable. He wriggled in his seat, desperately wanting to peel his shirt off or at the least blast the AC. He took a deep breath in before his nostrils flared, twitched and tickled. Immediately he shut his mouth, trying to hide any indications that he might just sneeze, his nostrils wet with anticipation.
With every mile that passed, Elex grew weaker, and the virus that threatened to consume him grew stronger. He clutched his chest, trying to hold himself together, his body wracked with chills that didn't seem to want to let up.
Fifteen minutes that felt like several days, finally they arrived home. The ill feeling badger pictured himself sprinting inside and locking himself in the bathroom and dying in the shower for a couple of hours until he felt well enough to emerge. Yet, he was unable to even move, it was starting to worry Sven as he saw Elex just laying there with his eyes closed, head slumped back and mouth gaping open. “Babe? You good? It’s time to go in….” asking cautiously.
Believe it or not, the green haired man was conscious he was just incredibly weakened by this point and his legs felt like jelly. He was also beyond drained from trying to pretend like he wasn’t knocking on death’s door. “Y-yeah..gimme a sec…I’ll meet you in there…just tired…” he cleared his throat trying to sound more convincing before he noticed his boyfriend nod, turn and give him his space.
“Holy fuck…finally..SNDFfdF..” he sniffled loudly, it filled the car with the wet sound as he brought a tissue to his persistently itching nose. He rubbed it so hard there was a rhythmic clicking sound that rang in his ears. “H-H…Hh’…” he struggled against the tissue. “H’uSSHHhhiew! h’USHhh’iew!” he suddenly burst from within, his tickling nostrils getting the better of him as he sprayed into the already pretty dampened mulch. “Gross…” he muttered weakly. It felt good at least to get that off his chest…it might have been just what he needed to get in the house, past Sven and into the bathroom.
He mustered up the last of his strength and pushed himself out of the car, stumbling slightly as he made his way towards the house. Each step felt like a monumental effort, but the thought of finally being able to rest in the warmth of their home drove him forward. The badger's pallor was ashen, his eyes heavy with fatigue. Without a word, he walked into the house, quickly, as much as he could, past his boyfriend that spun around to try and catch up, into the bathroom, locking the door shut and sliding down the door in agony. “Fuuuuuu…” he groaned stubbornly, he made it, but at what cost. His head was now spinning. “H-H…Ih…” he struggled against the quickly building sensations inside him.
“Els? You good in there?” He already knew the truth, it was obvious as night and day. Elex only ever rushed to the bathroom like this when he was ill, and trying to actively hide that from him. Idiot. Why did he ALWAYS go to the bathroom? He knocked gently. “Babe?”
“N-No I’m okay just go-gotta piss…” he lied through his teeth before the inevitable came barreling out through his mouth and into the quickly rising palms of his hands. “Heh’EhDTSHiEw! etUSCHOO!” it was like he had entered his own personal hell, he groaned weakly his hands wet of his sickness, and his nose starting to leak down his darkened skin.
Sven's heart clenched with worry as he heard his boyfriend struggle on the other side of the door. He knew Elex too well to believe the feeble excuse he had just given, and the sound of his sneezes only confirmed his suspicions. Without another word, Sven retrieved a spare key from its hiding place and swiftly unlocked the bathroom door. “h’UHtTSCHhiew! hh’ieXSSHH!” more distressing sounds of illness and ache echoed from behind the door, the green haired man falling further into his sickly resolve.
What Sven found inside once he ripped the door open, tore at his heart. Elex was hunched over in the corner closest to the door, pale and shivering, his face contorted in discomfort. The tissues in his hands were already soaked through, and his eyes reflected a mixture of pain and embarrassment.
Sven knelt beside him, placing a comforting hand on his back. "Elex, why didn't you tell me you were feeling this bad?" he asked softly, concern lacing his voice.
“I….didn’t want you to feel worse…after the loss,” he grumbled, avoiding eye contact like a small child that’d been caught in the cookie jar. The sick badger then managed a weak shrug in response, a fresh wave of static tingling over him. He felt utterly defeated, both by his illness and by his inability to hide it. Stupid. The cat's chest ached at the sight of Elex trying to bear the burden of his sickness alone, all for the sake of sparing him more grief. He gently took some tissues off the roll of paper and began to wipe at his hands and then handed him a warm washcloth, using it to dab away the sweat that dotted his feverish brow.
"You’re a pain in my ass you know that?" Sven chuckled jokingly, a mix of fondness and exasperation in his tone. "You don't have to go through this alone. We're a team, remember? I'm here for you, no matter what,” the man emphasized as he leaned closer to kiss the man on his clammy forehead.
Elex finally met Sven's gaze, seeing the genuine concern and love behind those serious orange orbs. A feeling of relief washed over him as he realized he didn't have to suffer in silence. With a shaky sigh, he leaned into Sven's touch, letting himself be comforted by the warmth of his presence.
As the Cheshire helped Elex to his feet and guided him to their bedroom, the badger felt an instant sense of relief, guilt and fondness wash over him. He couldn’t believe what a fuckin dick he was to this man sometimes, truly he didnt deserve him. "I can sleep on the couch if you prefer babe…I dont want you to have to be put ou-..H-Hh’uhSSCHHIHHww!” out shooting another one but the delinquent was quick enough to aim into the crook of his elbow.
Come on you, just get into bed don’t worry about me,” he shook his head at his ailing mate, all he could really think about was getting him rest. Elex sniffled loudly trying to wobble his way to their shared bed and slide inside but was stopped by the cheshire who let out a harmless chuckle. “Babe, you’re still wearing your clothes,”
“Oh…righd…sNdnfF..” he grumbled and groaned the whole way through trying to undress himself before 7 had to step in.
“I’ll do it babe, it’s fine,” taking over as he helped Elex out of his clothes and into a fresh pair of pajamas. The badger let out a soft sigh of relief as he finally settled under the warm covers, feeling a sense of comfort wash over him. Sven tucked him in gently, making sure he was comfortable before climbing into bed beside him.
As Elex lay there, his body still trembling with fever, he couldn't help but feel grateful for Sven's unwavering support. Despite his stubbornness and attempts to push him away, Sven had never wavered in his care and love for him in the last decade of being together. Though his reflections were short lived when he felt a down pour of trickling madness. His nose was on fire, his throat was demanding and it was going to come out again. That same, messy, loud, affliction. “Hh’UmfsHhhiew! h’UsHh’iew!” it was almost like he couldn’t catch a break but the cat handed him a tissue and he smiled weakly. "I love you…" Elex mumbled hoarsely, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sven's response was immediate, his hand reaching out to caress Elex's cheek tenderly after the man had taken the soft material. "I love you too, you stubborn fuck," he replied with a soft chuckle. The green and brown eyed man squinting with distrust now but still cracking a side smile.
“You’re not wro..h-.UShh’iew!” he released into the pit under his blanket, more so into the fabric than not, or else he put himself at the risk of getting his chest wet with sick. He shuddered and Sven leaned in closer to the other, wrapping his arms tightly around the slightly taller green haired grump.
“Bless you, my little earth pig,” immediately Elex rolled his eyes into the back of his skull.
“Stooooobbb I hade when you call me dhad,” Sven couldn't help but chuckle at Elex's grumpy response, finding solace in the fact that even when he was feeling at his worst, his partner still had enough spirit to protest endearingly.
"Alright, alright, no 'earth pig' then," he conceded with a smile, pressing a gentle kiss to Elex's forehead. The badger let out a tired huff of contentment at the affectionate gesture, his eyes fluttering shut as he leaned into Sven's embrace.
In the comfort of their shared bed, surrounded by warmth and love, Elex finally allowed himself to relax. The weight of his illness seemed a little lighter with Sven by his side, offering unwavering support and care. As sleep began to tug at his consciousness, he whispered softly, "Thank you for taking care of me."
Sven held him closer, feeling a surge of tenderness for the stubborn badger who had captured his heart so completely. "Always,” and the two found themselves closing their eyes, and drifting to sleep.
The End
Author’s Notes: I had so much fun with the dialogue in this!!!!! But I really truly hate myself for choosing escape room because A: I’ve never done one B: I put forth no energy to research them either and just hit a road block for two weeks instead 😭🥲 Which is another reason there’s no smut cause I just really wanted to be done 😂 I hope this was at least enjoyable!!! I’ll do better with the next Svelex rqst I promise 😂

“Oh my god! Are you almost done?” Your arms trembled at the sheer force you had to exert to keep the branch lowered.“Yeah, almost just— a few more—” Eddie grunted. His concentration face was in full effect and even his tongue made a special appearance at the corner of his mouth. “Don’t get too ambitious, Munson!” You used the last of your strength to pull the branch close to your chest and into a bear hug of sorts. The motion alleviated the burning in your hands and in turn brought the branch lower for Eddie. “Gottem!” The branch instantly bounced back in place and berries splattered across the empty field and pelleted your heads.
“Dude—“ There was the beginning of a giggle in his voice as he took a few steps toward you. “What?” You narrowed your eyes at him, in well known skepticism, and prepared to bolt. Eddie was trying his damndest to contain himself as he now stood directly in front of you. “Oh, pfft, it's nothing, it’s just that you have a, uh—“ he plucked a rogue berry out of your hair and ate it with much delight to your own personal horror. “Ew! What the hell is wrong with you, Munson?!” You pushed your hands out in front of you in disgust. “Everything” he laughs in your face. You grimaced at his reaction and gave him a playful shove. ”You’re— so gross!” You made a dramatic show of your hands before you turned to start walking to your true destination, the creek. You could hear him cackle like a maniac as he caught up to you. Eddie almost knocked you over when he slung his heavy arm around your neck to bring you closer to him so he could whisper in your ear, “You know damn well I’ve done a whole lot worse” and your response is reduced to a squeal when you unexpectedly felt his hot wet tongue lick the side of your face. The sensation made you drop the bag you were holding.
“Eddie!” You shouted as you watched the items roll down the steep hill. The two of you chased after the items, but in doing so Eddie misstepped and was sent tumbling down. Unfortunately, you were not much farther ahead of him and his footing took you down as well. As your bodies took the abuse of the hill, Eddie was able to grab onto you and tuck you closely into his own form, so when the abrupt stop of the hill came, he took the brunt of the impact. You and Eddie laid there for a minute as you tried to recollect your scrambled brains. Nothing humbles you more than rolling down a hill and this hasn’t been the first time to happen, so you consider yourselves very humble people.
“You okay?” His hands lazily brushed off the broken grass that littered your body. You propped yourself up on your elbow to take a better look at him. “Yeah, I’m all good. Are you?” You leaned in closer to inspect his face. He seemed fine, just a bit dazed. The closeness of your bodies coupled with how you were looking down at him and the humid Indiana heat stirred something deep inside of him. “Kiss me” he murmured and watched as your lips slightly parted. He knew he would be able to play it off if it went awry. You looked like you were about to give in, but you quickly overcame it and sat up. “Get over yourself, Munson” You huffed and dusted the remainder of the grass off your clothes. “I just cushioned your fall and that's the thanks I get?” He continued to lie on the ground with his hands behind his head. “You're the reason we fell in the first place, dingus!” You were getting annoyed and the afternoon sun beating down on you made matters only worse. “Bin’s starting to rub off on you” Eddie smiled at you contently as he reached his hands out. He beckoned you to him with wiggling fingers and it worked. Your hands were immediately clasped around his and you struggled to pull him up. “Are you even trying to help?!” You struggled against his weight before he unexpectedly shot up and almost knocked you guys back down again.
“Eddie! Fuck sake!”
“What?” He looked amused with a stupid grin plastered on his face. “You’re so fucking— Let go of my hands!” You fought to free your limbs from his grasp but he wouldn’t budge. “Eds, please knock it off!” You whined. Your hands went slack and you saw him pout, probably because you gave up. “Fine, fine, fine!” He moved his head from side to side and finally let you go.
Without another word other than Eddie’s grumbling, you and Eddie got started on picking up the contents of your bag. Luckily for your stomachs, none of the food and drinks spilled or got squished and the items were packed up in no time. The silence that followed you on your path to the creek was not uncomfortable, but rather soothing. It was nice to walk side by side with someone and let the crunch of the grass and talkative bugs fill up the air. You could tell you were getting close to the rolling waters by the gradual coolness of the air. Then the trees slowly gave way to sloped rocky terrain.
“Damn, it's empty as shit today” It was indeed empty as shit. Not a single person was in sight and it looked like no one had been here in a while. You turned and grinned at each other, before you booked it to the giant flat top boulder. Usually, the rock was used exclusively for diving, but since no one was there and no one was going to show up in the foreseeable future, you decided it was a great spot to settle down. “I never thought I would be so happy about a public pool” Eddie said as he quickly stripped himself of his shirt and shoes. “Yeah, well, maybe we would understand what the hype was about if we— I mean you— didn’t get us banned—”
“It takes two to roughhouse—”
“You tackled me first!”
“Whatever, dude, Billy had it out for us anyways”
“Yeah, sure— can you untie my shoe? I got a knot in it again” You held out your right foot and Eddie crouched down and placed your foot on his knee. “This has to be your superpower or something, because how can someone do this every time?” His fingers work expertly to take the knot out and soon enough he was untying your left shoe. Dealing with cables on a daily basis does give you expertise in something. “If I knew how I did it I wouldn’t be having this issue, Edward” You smiled down at him and watched him cringe when his full name left your mouth. “Really? We’re going there?” He pulled the sides of your sneakers to loosen up the laces and give you enough room to slip them off. You pretended to mull over your answer and stroke your chin, “Yes, I think so, Edward.” He stood up and narrowed his eyes at you and flicked a random leaf off your head, “You're lucky I am in a good mood today.” Eddie walked away from you as you slipped the remainder of your clothes off which left you in your bathing suit and shorts.
“Oh, am I?”
“Yes,” He held his index finger in the air before he continued, “In fact, I’m going to be fair and let you fight me for the title of King of the Rock.” Eddie curled his arms and flexed his biceps at you and you rolled your eyes. “You’re a cheat—” You crossed your arms in front of you and walked to where he was at the edge. The water lapped softly against where you stood. The rock wasn’t extremely elevated but it still served as a good vantage point and diving spot. ”No, I am not. I am simply a wizard at hand to hand combat” He was definitely a cheat, but he would never admit it to anyone, especially you. King of the Rock was rather simple, whoever fell into the water first loses. The kids would sometimes team up to fight Eddie, but usually it was one on one.
“Whatever, cheater.” You turned towards each other and Eddie beckoned you to him. “Fine, you can grab me first.” His arms were in front of him at 90 degree angles. You grabbed him by his waist and his hands were instantly on your shoulders. He stumbled back a little. His heel was a hair away from hanging off the edge of the rock. Eddie leaned closer to your ear and chuckled, “Rookie move”. His breath fanned your neck and made your grip falter slightly. He took the advantage and surged forward which led him away from the edge and put you on the cusp of a fall. Your legs tried their best to push forward but Eddie wouldn’t budge. You tucked your elbows into your sides, locked your arms, and tried again. In that attempt, he slid back with a grunt. The two of you teetered back and forth. Neither of you wanted to be bested by the other.
“How cold do you think the water is?” He grunted in your ear and the wispy ends of his hair tickled your face lightly.
”Shut up—“ You mumbled through gritted teeth as you tried your best to hold your ground, “You’re trying to distract me.” You were able to nudge him backwards but your strength was diminishing. “Oh, am I?” He taunted and he slid his left hand from your shoulder to your waist which gained him more leverage. “Fuck—” you gasped and that allowed him to slide you closer to the edge. “Do you give up?” He sighed and you knew he was on the brink of giving up. “No way, asshole—” you bent your knees slightly and used the last bit of strength you had to tackle Eddie off the massive rock and into the awaiting waters below.
You both resurfaced at the same time with a coughing gasp. The water was sweet and cool and definitely worth the long trek. “That was a good one. I think you knocked my brains out.” He let himself float on his back and he slowly drifted away from you. “Really? I didn’t know you had one to begin with” You giggled at your own comment as you doggy paddled after him and he just rolled his eyes. His hand reached out to you and you were happy to grab it and brought him closer. You were standing now and you could feel the algae covered rocks at the bottom. The water lapped up to your collar bones and you thought for a second, “You didn’t hit the bottom did you?” The memory of your knees skinning the slick ground made you paranoid. “No” His eyes were closed and his hair followed the current. He felt you staring at him and opened one eye, “Want to swing off the rope?”
”Yeah—” You splashed him and tried to make a run for it, but it proved to be difficult as you had to fight the current and uneven terrain. You were still the first one to reach the rope and you used it to haul yourself onto the flat stretch of land. There was only room for one person to stand, so Eddie waited below with the water that skimmed his shoulders. The worn rope held you as you leaned back on your heels, “Will you catch me?” The water was nowhere near deep enough to drown in, but it was still scary when you were flying through the air George of the Jungle style.
“Yes, dipshit!” Eddie yelled and you grinned like a maniac as you got a running start. You tucked your legs close to your stomach before you ran out of land and let your arms carry your weight. When you reached the highest point you let go and let your body free fall into the water below. Eddie did manage to catch you, but he let you take him down. He pulled both of you back up to the surface. “Fuck, I always forget how fun that is” You laughed while you wiped the water away from your face but Eddie doesn’t let you go. His forehead is on yours and droplets from his wet hair rained down on you. His eyes were closed and his eyelashes were thick with water. You could kiss him. It wouldn’t be hard to close the gap and have your lips meet, but you refrained and he opened his eyes. “Sorry” he sighed and you gave him a lopsided smile. “It’s okay. Do you need a hug?” You scanned his face to try and read him, which unfortunately has been getting harder. He leaned back and to your dismay he let you go. You felt cold without his closeness. Eddie pushed his wet hair back and proceeded to shake his head vigorously splattering you with water. You shrieked and splashed him with water which prompted a water fight.
After that, the two of you milled around in the great empty expanse of the creek. You went through the motions of diving, swimming, and fighting again until an all too familiar ache screamed from your stomach. You were the first one to get out of the water, but Eddie still carried on. Your hands were pruny beyond recognition and your stomach yearned for food. After you tightly wound a towel around your neck, you poured out the contents of the lunch bag onto another towel. A myriad of snacks laid before you, but the sandwiches called out to you the most. You were one bite away from finishing your sandwich when Eddie flopped down across from you. The ashiness of the rock disappeared and turned darker under Eddie’s wet mass. A bloated humanly figure would surely be left behind. You tossed his towel in his direction and it landed on his face, but he didn’t flinch. “Fuck, I’m tired. I don’t know how I’m going to make it back” His voice came out muffled under the density of the towel. “Maybe we can hitch a ride” You took a sip of your semi-cold drink, the plastic is sweaty in your hand. You guys have hitchhiked before and got rides from Officer Powell, Randy, and other Hawkins natives. It’s not the safest, of course, and it’s never guaranteed you’d even get picked up, but at least it was an option. “I’ll keep that in mind” He flipped over onto his stomach and used the towel as a pillow. He used his spare hand to grab his sandwich. “You’ll get a stomach ache if you eat laying on your stomach” You warned and he whined. He’s such a baby, but he knew you were right and sat up with much complaint. “This is like… Really good. Heavenly, even.” Eddie said between mouthfuls and you let out an unamused laugh. “I think it’s the hunger talking, Eds” You shoved the last bite in your mouth. “Maybe, but it’s still good” He’s already demolished the sandwich that took you a while to eat.
The two of you took your time and picked your way through the food. All that was left were the strawberries and mulberries which Eddie has hogged. You ate in relative silence besides the busy water and the chime of wildlife. It was hard not to stare at his stretched out form, never scared to take up space. It’s what you liked about him the most. The sun that shined down casted organic shapes onto Eddie. The contrast between the shadows and the fluttering light made it look like soft lighting danced on his skin. ”What? Why are you lookin’ at me like that?” The tips of his fingers had turned a deep reddish purple from the mulberries. You refrained from saying something snarky, “It’s nothing. I just miss hanging out with you is all.” You shrugged your left shoulder as you slowly ate the last of the strawberries. ”Awe, you missed me?” A lazy lopsided grin stretched across his lips and he turned his head to look at you head on. “Don’t get ahead of yourself, but, yeah I did. We haven’t hung out in what? Weeks?” You watched him as he agreed and nodded his head. Eddie tossed another berry into his mouth but this time a rogue drop of juice sprayed his cheek.
“You, uh, got some on your face” You pointed to the general area, but he kept missing the spot. “Did I get it?” He tried to look down at his own face to find the stain. It caused you to laugh and he sat up and gave you a very serious look, “Hey! This isn’t funny. I don't want hot babes to think I have some strange and incurable disease!” It only made the laughter come out harder as you crawled closer to him. “Here— Let me help” your hand reached out without a second thought. Brows furrowed as you worked to clean the area on his cheek. You didn’t see his eyes as they fluttered close under your gentle hand. “Y/N—“ He couldn’t help but sigh into your touch. Hands so cold on his warm face. The stain wasn’t gone completely, but it was faded enough to blend in with his summertime freckles. His eyes are still closed as you scanned the rest of his face. Maybe it’s what gave your thumb the courage to ghost over his speckled plump bottom lip. “Your lips—”, are so soft, “Are stained too.”
You wanted to give in so badly, but the only rational part of your brain held you back like a kitten by the scruff of the neck. “Are they?” Eddie is scared to breathe. He doesn’t want you to move away. You thought the sun had finally got to you and your hand instantly snapped back to your chest, “Fuck, sorry”. You leaned back. The need for distance called to you insistently as it tried to prevent you from doing something stupid. You weren’t his type anyways. It was well known that Eddie didn’t have a type, but you were certain that you were outside the realm of possibility. Not that you thought about it often, of course.
”It’s fine” his hand snaked up to the back of your neck and brought you back to him. Temple to temple. Cheek to cheek. If only he moved you a little more. If only you were a little braver. “Are you okay?” He’s been extra touchy today and usually that meant he was in the trenches. “Yeah, I just want to kiss you so bad” He whispered into your ear. Your breathing faltered at his confession. It certainly wasn’t what you expected and his casualness made your hands tremble. You could feel your heartbeat in your throat. Your hands offered reassurance as they wrapped around his forearm and elbow while you tried to find your voice.
”Why don’t you?”
”I don’t want to freak you out”
”I won’t”
”Promise?”
”Promise”
That was all the confirmation he needed and he nudged your head up with the side of his face. Eddie’s forehead rested on your forehead with the side of his nose pressed against yours. You could feel his shaky exhale on your face and you closed your eyes just like him. His lips started off as ghosts over your own. When you didn’t flinch back, it gave him enough confidence and he surged forward. It was slow and brutal as you explored this new territory diligently. The pure desperation is palpable from both sides. Teeth clashed against each other as they begged for more and more. Your hand traveled to the slope of his neck to tug him closer. Your thumb lazily traced the column of this neck. The motion elicited an intoxicating hum from Eddie and he encouraged your face up to get more access to your lovely mouth. Your chests were tight with the need to breathe, but it only made you kiss faster. You needed this moment and you tried your best to savor each movement.
Eddie was the one who abruptly pulled you away and you both gasped out for air. Lungs needy for substance. A string of saliva momentarily connected Eddie to you. It shimmered in the falling sun, before it split. He chuckled softly as he watched you try to dive back into another kiss with still heaving chests. His hand that still cradled the nape of your neck held you back. He took this time to soak in your features. He thought you looked so pretty too pretty to be stuck here in bum-fuck nowhere Indiana. Eddie indulged himself and let his thumb wipe the saliva from your bottom lip. He wanted to delve his thumb into your mouth but decided against it.
Not right now, but he knew you would let him.
This was years in the making and he wouldn’t have it any other way. He still wished he kissed you sooner. Maybe you’d be going steady by now. “Was that good?” He hated how uneven his voice sounded. Your eyes went wide, “Yes! That was great— D-did you think it was good?” He’s never seen you this panicked before and he broke into another smile. He nodded his head vigorously. The damp ends of his hair tickled your arm, “Yeah, Yeah, You’re everything I dreamed of.” You rolled your eyes at him and he shook his head. His hands fell to your shoulders and he tried to suppress his laughter, “No, y/n, I’m dead serious! C’mere.” This kiss was quick and light as he tried not to get too lost in the moment. He pulled away again but didn’t leave you too far behind. You liked this, being close to him without worrying. It was nice. His cheek rested against yours again and it filled you with bubbly warmth.
A gaggle of kids broke through the serene atmosphere. Eddie stiffened slightly but didn’t make a move to pull away. They haven’t fought their way through the barrier of trees yet, but they will stumble upon you two soon. “I think we should get out of here” you murmured against the corner of his lips. Eddie sighed, “Yeah, we should”, but smiled when he remembered your previous shenanigans. The walk back wouldn’t be as terrible anymore.
