#for reference - this was when kimi was still in Ferrari

Months ago, there were rumors that Horner wants shares in the Red Bull company. He has the sympathy of the Thai owner, but the Austrian side of the company absolutely does not want him in the management. They are the ones investigating Horner's alleged inappropriate behavior. Marko is close to the Austrian side of the company and is like a spokesperson for them. When Haas fired Steiner, Marko commented that he had heard that Steiner wanted to convert his popularity into shares in Haas, and said that "the team always comes before the individual", and that Steiner was a "victim of his popularity"… I remember there has always been a rumor here and there that Horner and Cat Grandfather can't stand each other, and everybody knows Cat Dad does everything his father wants. What seems to be happening with Red Bull is that a bunch of assholes are fighting for power now the major asshole is gone. There has been a clear power struggle since Dietrich passed away.
You may be onto something here, anon.
I remember (years ago) there were rumors of Jos being banned from the RBR garage by Horner because Christian did not want a Toro Rosso 2.0 situation happening again. Ironically enough, Horner may have been on the money there because Max's driving improved quite a bit after Jos was sent on his merry way.
#anon#q&a#for reference - this was when kimi was still in Ferrari#and i swear max had it out for the old man there#he was constantly labelled aggressive [or competitive depending on who you'd listen]#but that improved after jos left

predictions for the f1 2025 car launch in london:
someone forgets to send out the dress code. george russell turns up in an immaculately pressed suit, lando norris turns up in black sweatpants.
the british drivers are raised onto the stage like they’re in the eras tour
the non-british drivers have to come in through the crowd entrance and buy their own tickets
christian horner still hasn’t decided who’s filling that second red bull seat. as a result max is accompanied on stage by what seems to be three untrained rookies in a trenchcoat
speaking of max, he doesn’t speak a word the entire night preferring instead to communicate short answers in sign language.
the hosts keep trying to awkwardly fill time à la eurovision song contest
there are at least two fistfights
and one dogfight (leo and roscoe)
pierre and esteban stand next to each other at first before they have to awkwardly be reminded that they’re not teammates anymore
someone makes a thinly veiled reference to the mclaren 2024 rear wing
kimi antonelli gets booed (british crowd) and about half the grid has to be physically restrained from jumping on the audience
toto wolff tries to seduce max yet again.
max audibly laughs at him. this is the only time we hear his voice all night.
oscar piastri gets visibly teary at the sight of drs since it’s the last time it’ll be used in f1
fred vasseur makes an insane prediction on how many races ferrari will win. everyone laughs at him.
he ends up being absolutely right
fernando turns up in another team’s colours
it’s later revealed that one team paid the sound engineers to play thunderous applause when their car was revealed
one livery will merit audible laughter
it will be alpine’s.

Sebastian Vettel x Webber!Reader
Summary: Everyone knows about the history of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber. But there's a well kept story within the paddock about Sebastian Vettel and another Webber. This is that story.
A/N: and i think its a good time to reread the series because we have some parts that is a hint to the previous chapters. its all connected! i hope you all enjoy!!!
About You Series
2015, Albert Park
Today marks the first race that he would do for Scuderia Ferrari, the dream team of most drivers. From the entrance, there were plenty of Tifosis with their banner and red ensemble waiting for him. Sebastian was used to having fans back in his Red Bull and Toro Rosso days but the energy of Ferrari fans is on a whole another level. People of all ages with different speaking languages calls out his name with something in hand for him to sign with.
“Bring the championship back to Ferrari”
“We are with you Sebastian!”
“Grazie Sebastian, have a good season!”
The words of encouragement being passed by people is something that brings a smile on his face. It was uplifting to hear that people still believed in him despite losing the championship last year. He feels extremely motivated to go to the car.
When he entered the garage, Kimi, his teammate was sitting there with his usual poker expression. Upon seeing Sebastian, he cracked one of his rare smiles and welcomed Sebastian to the team. The rest of the garage seems to be excited in welcoming Sebastian as well. They buzzed about how excited they all are about the build of the car and the opportunities that this season may grant. It was a good omen for Sebastian.
The practice session won’t start for a few minutes, so he opted to lounge in his driver’s room. The minute that Sebastian opened the room, his eyes zeroed in on the fruit basket of oranges placed on his desk.
An irony that a single fruit can bring back so many memories and could make all happy thoughts disappear from Sebastian. It suddenly reminded him that there was one person that he won’t be seeing around this year.
With a sigh, he picked up the card attached to the basket.
Congratulations Sebastian Vettel for being in Scuderia Ferrari. Have a great season ahead.
He smiles thoughtfully with the message. Flipping the card he tried to find who have sent it but it seems unsigned.
‘Can this be from her?’ he couldn’t help but think about it. He believed that he never mentioned it in any of his interviews that this was pre-race ritual goodluck for him. His thoughts couldn’t help but drift to her.
It has been months since he has seen her. There were also no news about her like she disappeared out of thin air, like she never even existed. He just wanted to know how is she doing. Is she doing better now? Can she walk now?
The heavy weight of his feelings had him sitting in silence.
“Seb..”Kimi knocked and entered the room “Free practice is starting in a few and they wanted me to call you”
The Finn was often referred as someone who doesn't care but he was secretly good at picking up emotions, “Are you okay?”
Sebastian looks up and tries to shrug it off“I’m good, don’t worry…Just the oranges”
“You allergic?”
“No”Sebastian’s voice falters “Just wondering who might have sent it”
“Probably a fan of yours”Kimi suggested.
“Yeah a fan”
2015, Sepang
Mark Webber’s book Aussie Grit, a chapter excerpt
Honestly, I never gave it much thinking that my sister sacrificed a lot of her time to be with me. She was merely 16 when she decided to accompany me to my racing and be my personal assistant. Instead of going out during the weekends, she spends it with me in strategy rooms or moping about a winless weekend. Now that I see it, I never saw her have time for herself. Everything that she does is because of me.
I wish I could tell you that I have been a good brother. There are several instances where I have been the cause of her heartache. If only I brought down my ego a notch then I wouldn’t miss several years with my baby sister. It was a great thing that she even gave me a chance. We were rekindling and everything. Then, last year was an eyeopener when she got into that accident. We were lucky to have her alive but it paralyzed her legs completely and it’s taking a while for her to recover. I respect my sister’s wishes to step back from anything motorsports related or from the media’s eyes. As her older brother, I do what I have to do to make sure she is getting the privacy that she needs.
She may or may not be reading this book but I hope you know Y/N how loved you are. We will always be waiting here for you. You take your time and your big brother will take care of everything.
2016, Lausitzring
The crowd was roaring as a Schumacher was once more placed on top of the podium. Glee was evident in Mick’s face as he made his way down from the podium. His eyes scanned the crowd and he couldn’t help but widen when he saw Sebastian’s face. He didn’t know that he would be joining to watch the race today.
“SEB!” Mick immediately made a beeline towards the F1 driver “What are you doing here?”
“Watching you race of course” Sebastian grins.
It was something that Sebastian has tried to do as much as he could. He can sense that Mick needed guidance and Michael would have done that if he was awake. So, whenever Sebastian could, he would drop by and watch Mick race. When he couldn’t, he rewatches them and messages him to commend him or recommend some improvements in his techniques.
“Very very proud of you Mick”he added the praise.
Sebastian hugged Mick proudly. Cameras immediately went off to capture the moment. Both of them have been used to the fanfares of the paddock and they could already see the articles that will be posted comparing young Seb and young Mick.
“Excuse me Seb but we have to get Mick for media duties” someone from the PR team interrupted the moment
“You can wait at the driver’s room”Mick instructed
“Look at you so bossy”Sebastian joked
“Viv, don’t let him go anywhere”Mick insisted “Seb, I still have to talk to you and update you about a lot”
Sebastian nodded and headed his way to the driver’s room. He greeted some of the staffs that were lounging there and proceeded to make himself feel at home in Mick’s driver’s room.
He couldn’t help but chuckle as soon as he enters. The driver’s room was pristine and clean. Sebastian was not the most organized driver on the grid when he was Mick’s age. Seeing how every paper has been neatly filed, clothes folded, and pillows arranged—Mick was far better from him than a mile.
There were two tables but his eyes lingered at the table where the drawer was slightly opened. He catches the glint of a photo frame. Curiosity got the best of him, and he opened the drawer a bit more to see the frame. It was a photo of the Schumacher family with him and Y/N. The bright smile on each faces and the way Sebastian held Y/N with Mick in the middle. It was a reminder of the good old days.
“I hope you are okay”Sebastian’s hands hovered at the picture.
She never leaves his mind. He stopped talking about her but she is always in his mind. Sometimes when he takes photos of Mick, he wonders if she is watching his progress. What would she say? Sebastian could bet that if things were a little different then Y/N must have been there in every race that Mick participates in. She would have been there with Sebastian proudly cheering for Mick.
“Hey”Mick was right on time to interrupt him “Media is sometimes even more tiresome than the race”
“You think that’s bad, wait till Formula 1” Sebastian snickers.
He slipped the picture back to the drawer and shut it close to avoid anyone else from snooping. If this was hidden away then Mick might have wanted it private and away from prying eyes. Sebastian respects that. However, Mick didn’t miss it.
“You saw the picture, didn’t you?” Mick asked
“Yeah” a sad smile graced Sebastian’s face “It’s been a while since I saw her and its just a bit nostalgic”
Mick has tried to avoid talking about Y/N as per her wishes and of course because he was unsure about Sebastian’s thoughts. He didn’t have the full picture of what went down but he was not dumb to not know that the ending caused them a lot of pain.
As a witness to their pining, Mick can tell that Sebastian never stopped loving Y/N.
“You miss her” Mick softly says.
Miss was a simple word to use. Sebastian longs to be with her. He has all the connection, power, and money to find her but he always stops himself. She needed time and he is willing to give that to her. However, he really longs for her.
“I do kid, I really do miss her” Sebastian sighs.
“Even after all these years?” Mick wondered
The older driver could only nod. Mick gave Sebastian a comforting hug. Mick wished that he could say the things that he know but he made a promise and his Papa raised him to honor his words. The hug is the only thing he can do right now.
2016, Yas Marina Circuit
The party was on full swing. The drinks are flowing, and Jenson could not hear the endless cheers of congratulations for his retirement. As a former party boy, he used to enjoy these kinds of events but now that he is getting older he seems to be taking a step back. He found himself making his way out of the balcony to get some open air.
“Ditching your own party? That’s so unlike you Jenson”
It seems as if Jenson was not the only one who needed some fresh air as Sebastian was also out there with a beer. The Ferrari driver has a drink in hand as he leans by the balcony.
“I think I entered my party days too early so now I’ll be retiring” Jenson admits.
“Congrats to your retirement man”Sebastian hugs him "Retiring seems to be a trend"
The implication was subtle. For the past few years, people have been retiring. Starting from Mark to Y/N and now its Jenson. He has also heard Nico joking around earlier that maybe he could retire as well now that he has a world championship. Sebastian couldn't help but ask if this is a sign from the heavens that maybe he should as well
"You should try to, there is an appeal to it." Jenson voiced out his thoughts.
Taking a sip from his beer, Sebastian shakes his head in response. He can't retire yet. He still has a passion for racing, its the only thing he has ever known so it would be hard to quit it.
"I think I can still keep up with the young ones"Sebastian replied thoughtfully.
"Wanting to race or do you want Y/N to find you easily if she decides to come back?"
Bold statements from Jenson seems to take the conversation to a different turn. A sober him would have himself controlled with the information that he shares especially with Y/N. But his defenses are down and he knew Sebastian wanted to know how she is.
“She is doing okay, she is better now and healthier. But I don’t think she will return, she is happy with her life now. No media, no stress, just a simple life”
A wave of relief washed over Sebastian's face. It was a sense of comfort for him to know that she is okay. The distance is difficult but he is glad that she is alright and getting better.
"I'm glad to hear that." Sebastian stated "But I’m not asking for her to comeback. I want her to have her time to recover as she said"
Jenson's face contorted to what seems to be an irritation or maybe this was the alcohol making his emotions go haywire.
"Why are you like that?" he asked.
"Like what?"
"How can you keep waiting and holding on even though it has been years. You should have forgotten her, you should have chosen another one. Why do you stay?"
"Because I love her." Sebastian answer was immediate "I know it is naïve and simple but there is no other way to put it. I love Y/N. I think she tried to push me away before but its always her no matter what. I know I made mistakes and I hurt her and I tried to make it up. Everyday I am trying to do better because I wanted to be a better person that Y/N comes back to"
The air that Sebastian ended his speech with was crackling with tension. Jenson, who seems to be drunk a while ago, suddenly sobered up with the confession. He looks skeptically at Sebastian and he could see how much he means everything he just said.
"You really love her right seb?"
"I do."
"Okay then wait for her." a resignation in Jenson's part "You take care of her okay? She is one of the best person in the world and she deserves the best. I hope you don’t get tired waiting for her."
Jenson has always been careful to keep his feelings away. He knew that this was a losing battle to admit his emotions but maybe people were right to say that alcohol manages to bring out the deepest darkest truth that we have.
In this haze, Sebastian finally dawns a realization. Something that he should have realized years ago. It was so obvious now that Jenson is all drunk and open to read.
“You love her”
“Loved.” Jenson begrudgingly admits “I know at one point I tried shooting my shot because I wanna piss Mark off. But when I got to know her damn man, I was a puddle. I knew it was useless to tell her how I feel when a) I am a playboy that cannot be taken seriously b) you look at her like she hangs the whole universe in front of your eyes and c) because she loves you so so so damn much”
Plenty of times that Jenson wished that he played his cards right. He wished that maybe he could have sabotaged the relationship and show Y/N that he is a better option. However, he doesn't have the heart to do that knowing that it would end up with Y/N being hurt. He also knew that her happiness is with Sebastian and all he ever wanted was to make her happy.
“So you take care of her better now that you know that I’ll always be watching your back. You fail another time and I’m stealing her away” Jenson laughs jokingly
Sebastian nodded in agreement.
2017, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya
"One, two, three, smile!"
Anyone passing by would have thought that its just another tourist family with the mother taking a photo of her daughter and husband. But they couldn't be more wrong.
Four time world champion Sebastian Vettel was hiding under the glasses and the cap. He looks like any other regular dad with his fanny pack and the simple get-up. Margarette was now 3 years old with a crooked smile that makes her a spitting image of her father.
"Papa, where we gonna go today" the little girl couldn't contain her excitement.
"You are so energetic huh" Sebastian picks her up with ease and placed her to sit comfortably on his shoulder "We are off to see this beautiful place"
"What is it?"
"It's a secret but its near" Sebastian assured.
It was one of those trips that Sebastian have planned to spend time time with Margarette. The Spanish Grand Prix was just right around the corner so Sebastian is maximizing his time to spend with his little girl. Hanna couldn't help but feel a sense of joy seeing the two together. Maybe the two of them didn't work out as a couple but she was glad that Sebastian never abandoned Margarette.
"Papa are we going to that big palace?"Margarette asked "Mama look we are going to that palace"
Margarette was pointing to the tall construction of the Sagrada Familia. It made Hanna let out a small wow because she have heard stories about this place before but this was really a breathtaking sight.
"It's not a palace darling, its a wonderful church made as a biggest apology for the city's sin"Hanna explained.
"But Hanna"Sebastian interjected "I think this is the grandest showcase of love because they keep on working on it for years and years for the city's forgiveness and-"
Sebastian stops halfway. The memory of the place from years ago seems to dawn him and why the whole conversation was flowing out as if it was recited for memory.
"You alright Papa?" Margarette wondered.
Sebastian was quick to shrug everything away, "Let's go inside"
The inside was even more beautiful than its facade. Margarette didn't know where to look and she seems to be awestruck anywhere she gaze upon. Sebastian chuckles to himself plagued once more by the memory of a certain someone that he once toured with in this place.
Once again, Sebastian was at the pews muttering a prayer. Even now he doesn't believe but he prays to any mighty Being out there to take care of Y/N. If its possible, make her walk again and help her heal from everything that she has been through. Sebastian was sure there were some stray tears that runs down his cheeks as he prayed.
A tug at his side reminded him that Margarette was there sitting next to him.
"What do you pray for?" she wondered.
"I'm praying for a friend"
"Is that why you cry?"she pressed on more "Is friend sick? Is friend sad?"
Sebastian honestly don't know what to answer with the following questions. How could he say so when he didn't have any form of communications with her.
"I don't know baby if she is okay but I pray she is okay" Sebastian sighs.
Her tiny hands reached for Sebastian as if a way to comfort him. Sebastian held Margarette's hands tightly. Hanna watched the two of them from a pew behind not wanting to interrupt the moment of the two.
"You know they say we can get three wishes when we visit a new church" Sebastian diverts the topic "You should go make your wishes"
"Like a birthday wish? It will come true?"
Sebastian nods and he immediately noticed how she brightened up. She was at that age that she has so many to wish for and she wanted to wish every best thing in the world. However, after a moment she seems to smile.
"I'll wish for your friend to be okay" Margarette declared "And I hope you see friend soon"
"That's very thoughtful of you baby"Sebastian couldn't help but hug his little girl.
Silently, Hanna prayed as well for that wish to come true. She hopes that maybe Y/N could come back for Sebastian. She has been a witness to how much Sebastian waits for her to return and its clear to her now how much he means to her.
2017, Suzuka Circuit
Sebastian Vettel asked about when is he going to settle down.
After being stuck in a panel in the Japanese Grand Prix media day with a group of drivers who have wives and girlfriends, Sebastian Vettel sticks out like a sore thumb in the bunch. He was pressed as to when would he introduce a girlfriend or if he has any plans on settling down. The Ferrari driver joked that the media is just like his mother asking him the same question.
“The thing is, I am happy as I am at the moment. I am not cynical about the idea of love, its just that lets say that love has already found me early. Maybe I am a sappy or romantic but I intend to wait for that love to return to me because it’s the love that I have promised to wait for. Nothing compares to her.” The person behind Sebastian’s definition of love has remained a mystery to the media. It has already been years but Sebastian has not been spotted to bring any partners to the paddock.
When asked about his rumored daughter, Sebastian has admitted that he has a daughter. He refused to deny his daughter but he wanted a quiet and simple life for her. “She is someone I treasure greatly. I intend to keep her away from the media as much as possible, she is one of the best thing that life has given me without asking.” He also mentioned that she is co-parenting with the mom of his daughter as they are great friends and nothing more.
2018, Albert Park
“Exciting season yeah Kimi?” Sebastian was his usual enthusiastic self.
The Finnish driver just shrugged a small yeah as they pass through security. Sebastian was already used with Kimi’s responses and he decided that it balanced out their duo. If Sebastian is the hyperactive one then Kimi is the laidback quiet one.
“Did you hear Jules' godkid is coming to the grid this season?" Kimi wondered.
Sebastian remembered how Jules has been mentoring a young kid before. He has mentioned his name multiple times but Sebastian have forgotten it already.
“Charles?”Kimi offered.
“Charles? The one we saw in 2015?”Sebastian asked
“Yeah that one. He got a seat at Alfa Romeo”Kimi nodded in agreement.
It was crazy how quick time passed by. It was just yesterday that he was racing with Jules and now he will be racing with his godkid. Sebastian could feel his age catching up on him with the new rookies joining the grid.
“We better go check on him and welcome him” Sebastian suggested.
“You go ahead, I’ll catch up later”
Sebastian headed to the Alfa Romeo garage which is quite a walk from the Ferrari garage. He stopped by to greet some of the media and the people at the paddock. But he has his eyes set on to welcome the newest rookie to the Formula 1 community.
"I'm looking for Charles Leclerc" Sebastian announced upon reaching their sister team's garage.
The mechanics were quite busy with the preparation for the car so all hands were on deck. It was a good thing that Fred Vasseur immediately caught Sebastian's presence
"I think he is the driver's room with his family" Fred smiled
"Can I interrupt them?"
"Go ahead, I'm sure Charles would love to see you her" he encouraged.
Sebastian made his way towards the room and he could hear the overlapping voices of Charles' family. It brings him back to the first time that he joined Formula 1 and his whole family has also been supportive just like this.
"Charles, be careful. I don't want you hurting yourself in your first race"
"So I can do it in my second?"
"You are a little menace, how do we put up with you?"
The bantering between them seems to keep Sebastian from disturbing them. He knew that he shouldn't be eavesdropping on them and he started to think that maybe he should just greet Charles later during the drivers' parade.
"But Charles listen to Pascale, you come back safe to us"
The chills that went down his spine when he heard that voice was like no other. He knows that person very well but he can't help but think that he may be wrong because its been so long. His heart started to beat loudly, his clammy hands shaking to twist the door knob of the door open. He was out of his wits to even overhear that Charles was getting out of his driver's room.
"Yeah, I'm-" the shock was visible in Charles face and he immediately steps out of his driver's room "Sebastian, I didn't know you were there"
Sebastian wanted to mentally facepalm himself to be caught in such an embarrassing situation.
"I just wanted to welcome you to the grid, kid" Sebastian manages to say
Charles shifts from his spot, "Thanks I guess"
It was obvious that Charles seems uncomfortable with Sebastian around. A normal feeling that a rookie driver would feel in his first season. Sebastian wanted to ease his mind a little.
"Jitters?"
"You could say that" Charles agrees "Maybe I just need a little bit of time with the family before I go out and race"
"You do that. I'll see you later"
"Thanks Sebastian"
As Sebastian retreats, Charles could let out a sigh in relief before entering his driver's room again.
Pascale was there with eyes wide as if asking his son if that's who she think it was outside the door. Lorenzo and Arthur were by the door seemingly anxious with the interaction.
"He's gone now and I think I managed to hold him off" Charles assures everyone "But I still think its really a bad decision for you to be here"
"And miss your first race in Formula 1? Jules would kill me"
Sitting at the corner of the room, Y/N Webber was there. Her face seems to have matured over the years but she still carries the same tricks just like how she is fiddling with her necklace.
All eyes of the Leclerc family was on her because this was the closest call that she have encountered with Sebastian after all these years.
"I have been careful Charlie. I have been to several of Mick's races undetected with him at the attendance. I have been in some Formula 1 races undetected "Y/N soothes "Calm down, okay?"
Charles couldn't help but feel a little bit guilty. He didn't want his debut to be the reason for Y/N's pocket of peace to be disturbed. He certainly didn't know that Sebastian was coming to greet him.
"I travelled a long way to watch you race so you better focus, okay?"Y/N encourages.
"Thank you for being here Y/N" Charles softens to a smile.
"But Y/N, aren't you planning to ever meet Sebastian again?" Lorenzo couldn't help but wonder.
The girl in question could just smile.
Honestly speaking, there wasn't an answer in her head at the moment. Hearing his voice just a door away was taking all of her self control to not run outside and hug him. She is scared if he would still welcome her back or would he still love her as much as she loves him even after all these years?
Fiddling with her necklace, the pendant that he has given still sits on the chain together with the ring he once gave her.

you mentioned in an earlier ask that you were disappointed with charles' mentality. do you think he has the mentality to become a wdc at some point?
I absolutely do think he has the mentality to become a WDC at some point. In fact, there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that he does because Charles has one of the most impressive mentalities out there.
Let me clarify that when I answered the ask you're referring to, my mind was still reeling from the race. I'm usually rather calm and collected during and after races, but I'm also someone who relies heavily on getting the sleep I'm used to getting. (I'm usually in bed and asleep by 21:00 most days because my soul is actually 92, while my body is 29.) I slept awful this entire past weekend and not nearly enough, and waking up for such an early qualifying and race did impact my emotional state quite a bit. And, well, answering asks in that state is not always the best idea.
So when I said I was disappointed in Charles' mentality, which I was at the time and I stand by that because that's how I felt in that moment, it was mostly due to the team order he was being given and obeyed to hold his position and not fight Carlos. @thearchercore answered an ask of mine last night where she said "the binotto era left this insane ptsd in all charles fans to the point we are questioning all team orders (we have to admit 2023 had some odd ones, too) so it will take time to regain confidence in them." And that's exactly it.
I know quite a lot of new F1 fans weren't around during the Binotto era and therefore don't have that same PTSD (I envy each and every one of you, by the way), but those of us who were there and watched it as it was happening? I'm honestly not sure I'll ever fully regain confidence in Ferrari, and not just because of the Binotto era.
There is a reason Ferrari hasn't won anything in 15 years. Historically, their strategies and decisions haven't exactly been the best since the end of Michael Schumacher's incredible reign of domination in the early 2000's. When I started watching F1, Ferrari and Michael were in a league above everyone else. They were the shit, the team to beat, the duo nobody else could really measure up to. But, after Michael's final title in 2004, they've won 3 titles: two constructors championships (2007 and 2008), and one driver's championship (2007). And the Ferrari I got into F1 knowing, fearing and admiring hasn't really been around since.
The Binotto era was honestly just the very horrible cherry on top for me, and I will gladly admit that I am probably quite negatively biased towards Ferrari because of all this. Which isn't exactly ideal when one of your favorite drivers is driving for them and does have what it takes to become a WDC. Like I said, I'm not sure I'll ever regain full confidence in the team after so many years of them being, well, Ferrari, and especially the Binotto era. This will lead to me questioning team orders and strategy calls more than I probably should, especially immediately after a race. I really hope that this will change in time, and I'm cautiously optimistic Fred can be the one to help turn some of that around. But after so many years, it's going to take some time and consistency from the team as a whole.
But I digress:
Prior to Charles, only one of my absolute favorite drivers have ever driven for Ferrari, and that was Kimi Räikkönen, coincidentally the last Ferrari WDC. So I haven't really been as invested in Ferrari's and their drivers' success until Charles joined the team, as I'm a 'driver-over-teams' kind of person. And unlike Charles (and Max), Kimi was never "predestined" or "inevitable", or anything of the sort. Kimi's WDC caught me and a lot of others completely off-guard, if I'm being completely honest. He definitely didn't have the same impressive mentality that for example Charles (and Max) have. Hell, the guy was notorious for really treating F1 like his side hustle; retiring and coming back, almost bankrupting Lotus while he drove for them by scoring too many points, and flat-out saying: "It's more like a hobby for me, so I don't have to do it if I don't want to." I could talk about Kimi forever, but I'm not going to because that's not the topic of this ask.
But, an aspect of Kimi's mentality that did appeal to me, that three-time WDC Sebastian Vettel (who I was always fond of, but who was never one of my absolute favorites) also had, was that they both went against team orders time and time again because they didn't agree with it being the best for them. And that's what I mean whenever I mention wanting Charles to be more selfish.
However, F1 today is different to what it was in the 2000's and the 2010's. Ferrari is different to what it was in the 2000's and the 2010's, and Charles is part of a whole new generation of drivers. And I think something that newer fans are a bit better at than "old-timers" like myself, is not letting your thoughts and reactions be as clouded by history.
It's easy to briefly forget that, no matter how long you've watched F1 or how much research you have done, at the end of the day, none of us have any idea of what's going on inside any driver's heads, including Charles'. We can speculate and analyze and assume until the end of time, but not a single one of us will know for sure why he makes the decisions he makes. Why he chooses to follow some team orders and disobey others. But what we can know for sure, no matter what, is that Charles is a highly intelligent and calculated driver. Every decision he makes has been analyzed extensively in his head. Sometimes he makes decisions that don't pan out the way he had thought or hoped, like all humans, but I am absolutely certain that each decision he makes is made with his own future best interest in mind. And that is what gives him that WDC mentality.
Sometimes, we'll disagree with the decisions he makes. We'll be upset and scratch our heads trying to understand, which is fine. And we can draw our own conclusions as to the why's and the what's and the how's. It's part of the sport, and you can and absolutely should sometimes disagree with, disapprove of or question things, even if it's your favorite driver and/or team.
After the race on Sunday, I was disappointed with his mentality for listening to yet another team order that prioritized his teammate. And that's a valid emotion to have. But now, when my emotions have stopped running high from lack of sleep, the horrid memories of the Binotto era, the questionable team orders from last season, and Ferrari's less-than-stellar track record of making decisions over the past 15 years, I'm able to look back and understand that, yeah, he made a calculated decision and followed the team orders because that's what he thought was best. And I am in no way, shape or form going to pretend or act like I'm smarter than him or that I know what's best for him because I have no fucking idea. None of us do.
I pride myself on being able to admit when my emotions have gotten the better of me, which was the case this weekend. I also pride myself on being able to look back at something I thought or felt at one point, and realizing and admitting that I wasn't being entirely logical, which I'm doing now.
I will contine to believe that Charles could benefit from taking a page out of Kimi's and Seb's book, and telling his team to fuck off a bit more often than he has done. But I will also admit that it's mostly because of my own desperate desire to see him suceed; to see him realize the potential the entire world of F1 has seen for so many years, and achieve his dream of winning a WDC with Ferrari.
As an F1 fan, I have the luxury of being impatient for his success, which is a luxury he as an F1 driver does not have. F1 drivers carry the curse of having to be patient, to bide their time and make just the correct amount of decisions at just the right time, while F1 fans bask in the luxury of wanting our favorite drivers to succeed now.

I always been a big ferrari fan and kimi and seb were my favorite but I welcomed charles and I was also one of the people exciting about his future in ferrari but honestly idk anymore, I supported even when they are low and I also hate ferrari but is still my team so lol but I'm so done of charles like I can't bring myself to support him after the clown show he did in monza, I say in twitter that I'm rooting for carlos because he look like he has his shit together and at least I can see him winning a race this year, and he did it a week after mind you, unlike charles and their psychopath fans doxxed me and now I'm actively praying for his downfall, not the I ever need it with his so called fans always putting their foot on their mouth, the power of God is by my side 🤞
Okay this started off fine and then we went on a journey 😅
I’m not sure what clown show you’re referring to in Monza?
Also I think wanting a driver to fail because people who support that driver (whom he doesn’t know and/or care about) are psychos is a little random but everyone has their things.
Carlos has definitely been more on top of the car this year but it does suit him better. Not that that takes away from his results, but I don’t think he’s that far ahead of Charles in terms of his driving this season.
I personally don’t think the tifosi will ever turn on Charles en masse while he’s still there and I don’t see Carlos staying at Ferrari for more than 3 years so 🤷♀️
Also that “unlike Charles” made me chuckle because also unlike 19 other people 😂

About the drivers in São Paulo, I don't know how it'll go with all of them but just to kinda correct you in some stuff.
Charles last year attended a few fans who were at the door of some restaurant he was in, also in the airport, it was so packed but he signed and took photos with everyone he could and he looked very tired, but was nice to people, so I don't know this fame about him not acknowledging the fans, he's one of the best in that regard.
What I heard about Ferrari drivers is that they don't attend fans in hotel, but to be honest, I agree with them is not the place, I appreciate Charles for attending in the restaurant, that I also think is wrong.
Also George, he doesn't do much but there were some fans at the entrance of their hotel and he got out of the car in the rain to take photos, so he's good too. Also, there was a group of girls from a project about girls in motorsport sort of stuff and all of them said he was very nice and funny.
About Lance, there's a bit of a situation, some Drugovich fans think he's impending Drugo to get a chance in F1, so there's some tension, the tv commentators even kinda trash Lance during the races, is truly disrespectful and unprofessional, last year he even got booed by some dumb people that kept screaming Drugo at him, so he might not be too keen to be part of it.
But seriously, I don't blame the ones that travel back just after the race, is the end of a triple header, they must be knackered and just wanting their own bed, F1 team doesn't know how to plan that calendar, we'll have a month break in sep-oct but two triple headers after.
Anyway, with the rest I agree, if Max participates it'll be a very awkward situation. But finally some action for São Paulo GP, it never had events on or off track and is one of the biggest fanbases of F1 that truly likes the sport for what it really is: a sport, not like US, for example.
Ah, in my last ask I forgot to mention Alonso, well he's only well liked by the old ones, Lewis fans, the majority in Brasil, don't like him, also last year he commented about the track not being F1 level because there were some screws in it, apparently, but doesn't complain about Las Vegas having uncovered manholes, for example. You know how we brazilians are, so some people are very annoyed with him, so idk how that might go.
Hii, so I'll start with YES! finally SPGP is getting events that are f1 related off track. It was due. And brazilians have been ongoingly getting the gp decently full through the last 20/30 years?! It still baffles me that newer circuits get so much more hype and attention?! (Maybe it's my bias showing)
As for the drivers, see I have a bit of a different view on that because I experienced f1 in the 2010's as well, before the last big boom, and also because f1 is not the only motorsports category I follow/have attended races.
I completely agree with there being boundaries (specially at hotels - and the likes of people booking rooms just to get access to the drivers?!).
But the 'fame' of drivers being in and out and not paying much attention is not only from last year, or from when Interlagos fell as the last race to a triple header. (Btw stopping to say hi or taking photos with fans that paid to get into the paddock is not what I was referring to)
Again, maybe I'm being biased because I actually got to meet Seb, Kimi, Alonso and Lewis outside the track, on normal settings (not waiting for them at restaurants/hotels). And some older family friends have met Niki/Hill/Raikkonen at bars in São Paulo and Schumacher running in Ibirapuera (Lewis used to run there as well in the 2010's).
And I know the profile of the average f1 fan has changed, a lot, and that includes how fans and drivers interact, but from people I know that have attended the races in the past years, there seems to be a common feeling of f1 personal not being as open to the fans in Brazil as they are in other places (bit of a change to how it was in the past).
Now, as for Drugovich, I really thought it was a given that people knew he never had a chance at that Aston seat?! Specially with all the investments into the team for their future years. Like, Lance has absolutely nothing to do with him not getting a seat in f1. (also, if there's ever a chance for Brazil to get another driver in f1 it'll be with Bortoleto).

Light of My Life - Chapter 14
Synopsis - y/n was your ordinary young women, who happened to be the daughter of Christian Horner. She is there every race, and every day, See how she gets along with everyone, including a special someone.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
It was now morning, and Alex was getting ready. I got ready earlier, not wanting to bother him, which he was upset that I thought that. As he was in the bathroom, a knock on the door could be heard. I went to it, struggling to open it in a wheelchair. "Hey y/n." Christian said, patting my head. I smiled, opening the door more. "Oh, no. I just came to say that I think you should come with me, or another driver today. I don't want Alex to get bombarded, and something to happen to either of you." He explained. I frowned, nodding my head. "For how long?" Alex asked, coming out of the bathroom. "It's nothing permanent. You guys can still be together. I just want her and you to be safe, so I just think she should be taken to the track by someone else." He said, walking down the hall now with us. "Okay. Has Kimi left yet? He is normally good at keeping people away." I said, getting in the elevator. "I figured you'd want him, so he is waiting downstairs for you." Christian smiled, making me smile at him. "Thanks dad. I'll see you at the track." I said, waving bye to him and Alex.
I wheeled over to Kimi, seeing him smiling softly. "Hi." I said, smiling softly. "Hi. How you feeling?" He asked, starting to push me to the car. "Like shit." I said, making him chuckle. "That makes sense." He said, helping me in the car. "Do you want me to bring this or no?" He asked, referring to the wheelchair. "Honestly, no. I have crutches in my dad's car." I said, making him nod. "I'll just tell them to put it in your room." He said, going back inside. I shut the door, getting all buckled in. I saw some reporters already taking pictures, and they swarmed Kimi as he came out. He pushed past them, ignoring them though. He got in the car, and started the drive. "Sorry about that. I know you hate the media." I said, rubbing my knee. It felt weird to not feel anything. "It's fine." He said. We soon pulled into the track parking lot. "Let's go then." He said, getting out. He helped me out, wrapping his arm under my shoulder, while mine went over his shoulder. I wobbled, making us laugh. The media swarmed us, making it harder to keep balance.
They kept pushing, till Kimi got fed up. "Fucking move! You see we are struggling!" He yelled, pushing some cameras out of his face. I sighed, looking down. A group of engineers came over, some helping me, while the others blocked the press. "You can go ahead, Kimi. Thanks for the help." I said, smiling at him. He gave me a hug, patting my head. "Your welcome. Be careful with these idiot people." He said, walking off. "So, which garage?" One of the engineers asked. "Let's go to Ferrari." I said, trying to quicken my pace. Eventually we got there, going the back way so the press doesn't swarm in front of the garage. I let the engineers go, leaning on the wall. "Seb!" I yelled, hopping further into the garage. Sebastian's head poked from around the corner, him giving me a bright smile. That faded though when he saw me struggling to stand. He came over, grabbing onto me. "Why aren't you in the wheelchair?" He semi-scolded. I chuckled, shaking my head. "Because it's annoying, and dad has some crutches in the garage." I said, as he set me on the counter. I laughed as it held a sign, which read 'y/n's seat. DO NOT TOUCH!!'.
Sebastian smiled, also opening a cabinet next to me. "This is your official counter, and cabinet. We stocked it with your favorite snacks, and of course juice boxes." He chuckled, grabbing me a juice box. I took it, opening the straw and poking it in. "Thanks." I said, drinking it. "I got to go get ready. I'll see you later though." He said, walking off. I just sat there, not knowing what to do. I stared at the car. "Hey." I heard beside me. I turned to see Charles. "Bello." I said, sipping my juice box. "We are going out to practice, so make sure to watch." He joked. "Okay." I said softly. He frowned, about to ask what's wrong. "Before you ask, nothing is wrong. I'm just thinking." I smiled, pushing him to his car. He looked back giving me a small smile. "I'll see you after practice." He said, making me nod.
After a long, and cruel two hours, practice for everyone was finally over. I was still sitting there, not really having an option to move. "Have you not moved?" Sebastian asked, leaning beside me. "No, and my ass feels numb." I said, looking forward. He hadn't looked at me, just staring straight. "I know your not thinking about the beautiful wall, so what's on your mind?" He said. I shook my head, not wanting to talk about it. "Are you free afterwards?" I asked. He looked at me, patting my head. "Yes. What do you need?" He asked, helping me off the counter. "A ride to the hospital." I dusted my self off, stretching slightly as well. "Okay. Should we get going then?" He asked, to which I nodded.

F1 2020 Grid as German rap songs
Since the 2020 season has come to an end, I thought it might be a good idea to finally share this thing that I’ve been working on since June. I have no idea as to why or how I had this idea, but I’m sure I’m not the first one to do this, anyway. I’m sorry to all my fellow Germans in advance <3
Disclaimer: I translated all of the lyrics myself so some things might not be completely accurate, for which I can only apologize. I do not agree with the way some rappers portray women, so I made sure to steer clear from those lyrics.
(post under the cut because it got kinda very long whoops)
Lewis - Vintage (RIN)
Oh Lord, wo soll das Ganze enden? Fahr' so schnell, ich wechsel' jede Woche Bremsen
[Oh Lord, where is this supposed to end? Driving so fast, I’m changing brakes every week]
It’s a song about being a champion, living a luxury life, nice clothes, and well...driving fast cars. Any more questions? Rin is one of my favorite German rap artists, so I just had to include his songs, and this one makes you feel like a real badass, just like our king Lewis 😌
Valtteri - In meinem Benz (AK Ausserkontrolle, Bonez MC)
Du siehst mich im Benz sitzen, so wie Lewis Hamilton
[You see me sitting in a Benz, just like Lewis Hamilton]
It’s kind of obvious why I chose that song, right? Other than that specific line there are some more parts about how much the rapper apparently loves his Mercedes and this song just screamed Valtteri to me.
Charles - NENENE (Fero47)
Sitze bald in roten Ferrari Geben Gas in der Hood Ruf' ich danach, "C'est la vie!"
[I’ll soon sit in a red Ferrari Rev up in my hood Shouting “C’est la vie!” afterward]
Ignoring the entire part about Monte Carlo and all the French words, this specific part just always reminds me of Charles when I listen to the song. More badass vibes but less seriously so because I can’t take Fero’s voice that serious at all, which fits Charles.
Sebastian - Ferrari (Eno, MERO)
Roter Ferrari Ich gebe Gas in einem Ferrari Roter Ferrari Yeah, ich sitze tief in einem Ferrari
[Red Ferrari I rev up in a red Ferrari Red Ferrari Yeah, I’m sitting deep inside a Ferrari]
There’s a part about “rolling with [a] bro in a white Mercedes” and my brain said Sewis rights. Other than that, this is once again a rather obvious choice, if not all that up to date anymore. Some lines about racing on the German highway, so of course I had to go for Sebastian with this one.
Max - Fame (Apache207)
Die Rapszene ist nur ein Affenzirkus In dem kleine Kinder gern mit Waffen hantieren Ich steh', wo ich steh', weil ich bin, wer ich bin Und nicht weil hier irgendjemand Apache platziert
[The rap scene is a madhouse Where little kids like to make use of guns I stand where I stand because I am who I am And not because someone places Apache]
This simply gives me Max vibes, I don’t have much more to say as an explanation. It just feels right, with criticism towards mentally “weaker” individuals and the confidence in making a name for oneself based on own achievements and hard work. Also, Apache has become a rather popular musician in the past year(s) (especially to obnoxious 5th graders, all tea no shade), which is just...Max, I won’t elaborate.
Alex - HONDA (Ansu)
Hold on, kommt was Schnell – Konter Dreamer, besonders – Willy Wonka Auto – Honda
[Hold on, there’s something coming Fast - Counterattack Dreamer, special - Willy Wonka Car - Honda]
I mean, it’s a song about a Honda driver? I struggled quite a bit with finding a song for Alex, but when I first listened to this song, my mind threw his name at me in blinking neon letters, so this is the vibe we’re going with - a funky fast Honda driver <3 (PS: I have no clue what the Willy Wonka thing is about but....why not)
Carlos - Habibi (Casar)
Sie schreibt: "Habibi", denn sie vermisst mich Ich fahre weit davon mit mein'n Hermanos
[She texts me “Habibi” because she misses me I drive far away with my hermanos]
I can only listen to the word “hermanos” so many times without my mind associating it with Carlos, so this one was a rather obvious choice for me as well. Also, there are some parts about Spain in this song so I had to be lame and do the obvious with this one.
Lando - 500 PS (Bonez MC, RAF Camora)
Ich drück' aufs Gas, hör' die 500 PS Fahren durch die Stadt, GTA Los Angeles
[I step on the gas, hear the 500 HP Cruising through the city, GTA Los Angeles]
This one’s a solid mainstream German rap song (not that I’d call Lando a mainstream person), liked to some extent by most people, and it gets you moving, which reminds me a lot of Lando. Cars and mentions of a video game make for a hit and Lando unites just that in person as well.
Daniel - Emotions 2.0 (Ufo361, Céline)
Baby, nimm einen Schluck Dom P. für die Emotions Ich erhöhe deine Dosis So viel Schmuck Mehr Drip als ein Ocean
[Baby take a sip Dom P for the emotions I’m increasing your dosage So much jewelry More drip than an ocean]
A bittersweet love song with rich boy summer vibes and one of my favorite German songs to be released this year, in fact, it’s my most listened to song on my phone, make for a combination that just screams Daniel to me. This song hits different when driving into the sunset in a fancy car or when biking through town at 1:30 am on three cans of Red Bull (believe me, I tried), and always reminds me of better times. It’s the ideal song to sing and rap along to, so that matches Daniel just fine.
Esteban - Einsneunzig (Brown-Eyes White Boy)
Bin fast einsneunzig, stell' mich auf die Bündel, das' ein Weltrekord Lass' die Zeit Revue passier'n, selbe Jungs und selber Ort
[I’m almost 1.90, stand on a wad of cash, that’s a world record Let’s recall the past, same guys and same place]
1.90 meters as a reference to Esteban’s height, obviously, simply made sense to me, once again. The second line reminds me of his feud with Pierre, so I had to choose this song. It’s better than Ratten im Hof (rats in the yard), and this reminds me of a wannabe gangster, which just screams Esteban to me, I’m sorry <3
Pierre - DAS RENNEN (RIN)
Ich hoff', eines Tages, wir gewinn'n das Rennen Wie bei Red Dead Redemption Irgendwann der Letzte wie Shanks Spinner Rims glänzen
[I hope one day we win the race Just like in Red Dead Redemption One day the last like Shanks Spinner rims are shining]
I know no one will believe this story but I started working on this post like half a year ago and I chose that song for Pierre back then and uhm, manifestation worked, I guess? Once again, I’m a big fan of Rin’s music, so choosing this song for Pierre is a bit like selfcare. The lyrics mention changing the world and well, so far Pierre has as least changed my world 😌
Daniil - One Night Stand (Capital Bra)
Ty moja ljubimaja Takaja diwnaja, krasiwaja-ja Sprawjedliwaja, njepobjedimaja Ty moja-ja, Baby, ty moja-ja
[You are my darling Such a wondeful, beauty Fair, invincible You’re mine baby, you’re mine]
I really hope I got that translation more or less right but other than that, I didn’t simply choose that song based on the Russian part. It’s a song we used to listen to a lot a few years ago and one of those from the days where Capital Bra was famous but less so than he is today. It reminds me of simpler times and it’s a pretty vibey song that, if you allow it to, draws you in and makes you dance. I have a soft spot for Daniil and the song reminds me a bit of him.
Lance - Bronx (Veysel)
Du musst doppelt zahlen, deshalb krieg' ich es umsonst Audemars, Yves Saint Laurent, eine Villa irgendwo Audemars, Yves Saint Laurent, ein paar Villen irgendwo
[You have to pay double that’s why I get it for free Audemars, Yves Saint Laurent, a mansion somewhere Audemars, Yves Saint Laurent, a few mansions somewhere]
This is a song that you have to listen to on high volume in a fast car, one that once again has really badass vibes. It’s nice to rap along to and hard not to move to. The rich boy vibes in the chorus that I’ve included in this post are pretty inevitable and logically, I had to associate that with Lance. When I turn this song on, everyone enjoys it, and I think Lance deserves to evoke that emotion in everyone as well.
Sergio - AVENTADOR (Dardan, Eno, Noah)
Roll' im Aventador Ich fahr' grad vor Gebe Gas, sag': "¡Adiós!"
[Roll in an Aventador I hit the road Step on the gas, say “¡Adiós!”]
I mean yeah, I could have chosen that song only because of the Adiós but that’s a bit lame even for me. Instead, the entire fast car vibe reminded me a lot of Checo. I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for him and this year he once again showed people ([coughs] my brother) that he’s been severely underestimated. So stepping on the gas and outpacing everyone else felt like the right vibe.
Kimi - Sorry Not Sorry (Monet192, Takt32, badmómzjay)
Was du für Karriere machst, mach' ich als Hobby Was du für Probleme hast, interessiert keinen
[What you made your career, I do as a hobby What problems you have, no one cares]
The title itself embodies Kimi and so does the entire song. The not giving a shit vibe, paired with the mention of the hobby thing as an indirect reference to the famous Kimi quote about seeing his job more as a hobby, are just 100% Kimi. I really couldn’t have found a better song for him.
Antonio - Maserati (RAF Camora)
Capo dei capi Trip noch im Alfa, doch bald Maserati
[Capo dei capi Trip still in an Alfa but soon in a Maserati]
I did very much not choose the song because “capo dei capi” (the boss of bosses) is a mafia related thing, but because of the Alfa part, duh. Roadtrips in an Alfa along the Adriatic coast are cool and all but a Maserati is obviously the main goal, and that reminds me of Antonio quite a lot ~for some reason~. The entire part about making it far in life without a “serious” job is just very F1, so the vibes are there. Happy very belated birthday Toni <3
Romain - HOCH (CRO)
Alles holt dich down, lass es einfach los Und die Dinge unter dir sind gar nicht mehr so groß Ich schau' nach oben und auf einmal geht's hoch
[Everything drags you down, just let it go And the things below you are not as big anymore I look up and suddenly it goes upwards]
This song is just very peaceful and calms my mind when I listen to it, which radiates the same comforting vibe as Romain. The topic of rising despite things dragging you down are a very prominent topic here and reminded me a lot of him, especially with him leaving Haas and everything around that. It just feels nice to listen to a bit of an uplifting song once in a while, and this one does it in a way that still allows you to feel calm and safe, which is something I associate with Romain a lot.
Kevin - Vorbei (Nico Rosseburg, Sierra Kidd)
Sag mir bitte, wie passe ich die Zeit? Der Augenblick war schön, doch es ist vorbei
[Please tell me, how do I pass the time? The moment was nice but now it’s over]
With Kevin leaving F1, I had to go for this song for him. It’s a bit more of a sad topic (so am I with the knowledge of him not being there next year) but without making the entire thing sound melancholic. I only really learned to appreciate Kevin this year and I’ll miss having him around, so this song kind of fits that idea for me.
George - 20 Zoll MAE (Celo&Abdi, Bonez MC)
Ich fahr' mit Schrittgeschwindigkeit, so wie ein Don Hättest gerne meine Felgen, aber wirst sie nicht bekommen
[I drive at walking pace like a Don You’d like to have my rims but won’t get them]
Making this solely about driving at walking pace would be a bit mean but there’s a part in the song soon after about looking beautiful in a Mercedes, so that’s pretty much George. The song just carries that fun vibe and the subtle (not really) flex, which makes it great to listen to if you want to get in a happier mood. It’s a song about Mercedes rims, of course I had to choose George 😔
Nicholas - Standard (KitschKrieg, SFR, Trettmann, Gzuz, Gringo, Ufo361)
Treff' mich in Miami, fliege nur noch First-Class Nur noch unterwegs, kriege Heimweh
[Meet me in Miami, only flying first class anymore Only on the road anymore, getting homesick]
More ~rich boy vibes~ and a song that has been playing what feels like 24/7 on MTV Germany the last two years. It got so bad that some people around me still reply in the trademark Gzuz voice when someone uses the word “standard”. Anyway, I associate this song with Nicholas because just like KitschKrieg did with their first “own” song, Nicholas has joined the game and left an impression on everyone, in one way or another, and I’m willing to see/hear more of that :)

JC! Thank you so much for these questions, I really enjoyed answering them and sort of wrote mini essays so it’s all going below the cut!
it’s hump day: let’s talk about F1 baybee
15. Is there a driver that you disliked in the beginning but now like?
Yes there is! I really disliked Sebastian Vettel back in the day but now I love him (as a quick look through my blog will tell you). Part of why I disliked Seb is being brought up watching F1 with British comms (who heard him being referred to as Baby Schumi and it triggered Martin’s inferiority complex). British commentary would have had you believe that at the age of 20 Seb was regularly eating Martin’s children or something.
I always thought he was talented as a driver but between Martin and DC being so far up M*rk’s arse and the inferiority complex, plus the way they would have you believe Red Bull were totally and completely in control of the 4 seasons they won made me really not like him. Interestingly, it wasn’t until about 2017/2018 and he started to make a few more mistakes at crucial points in the championship that I was like ‘wait I like you’ so I dunno what that says about me.
16. Is there a driver who made you drastically change your opinion of him?
Yes! There are like three drivers: Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. I used to like Kimi (I thought he was funny and a decent driver) - still think he was a good driver but no longer like his whole Thing™️, and I say was a good driver because I don’t quite think he’s got the pace he used to.
I didn’t used to like Lewis (as a personality) even though I thought he was a very good driver but he has done a lot of growing and learning over the past 5 years or so and seems to be more comfy in himself so you love to see it - will also be blaming the British media and commentators for making me dislike him when I was growing up.
Fernando, Fernando, Fernando. We have a very complicated relationship. I loved him when he started in F1, cried when he won his championships, I have a Fernando t-shirt from back in the day when I was a kid. I wanted to loathe him when Spygate and Crashgate happened but still loved him (less so for Crashgate though). Ferrari Fernando happened and we were still on good terms and then I just did not love the McHonda of it all and didn’t love his attitude or comments (and I still don’t from that era). BUT now he’s like a mellow vibed out Fernando (like he still has his personality but there’s obvious growth there) and he’s gone away and learned about teamwork in WEC and he was always a great driver but I feel like he has shown he has grown up a little bit, or has become more realistic about how things happen (without losing his fight or competitiveness which we all love about him).
27. Do you have a favourite team? Which one and why?
Like most other things I have a hard time just picking one so I have three fave teams! Here is where I out myself as a tifosi because Ferrari is my favourite team. My earliest F1 memories are of Ferrari Schumi winning and Ferrari have forever been hardwired into my brain as the Sexy Evil Ones and I love them so dearly. Oh how they make me suffer so for loving them so dearly. I hate them, I love them and I hate them again. I am the President of the Ferrari Suffering Squad and I wear the biggest clown crown. I just love these messy bitches.
Second up is Renault (yes they are now Alpine, no I do not care to name them as such). As you can see from my answer above I am clearly insane and I love a messy team. My Renault love comes from Fernando and I just never lost my love for them, especially when Robert went to drive for them and then they were Lotus and Rogro kicked ass for them and then they became Renault again and Cyril happened. Also they have Alain and they were yellow and black and very sexy and I just really love them. This is really incoherent but I just really love pain I think.
My third fave team is Sauber! They are a very funky little team, my Swiss Grandpa Peter Sauber is truly a very groovy dude and the fact that his team still exists in F1 is incredible. They have helped launch the career of like so many talented people and so many faves. They are also the first team to have a female CEO and then TP in F1, which is pretty damn groovy to me. I am in the middle of doing a project about my fave little midfield team who could, so watch this space.
32. Which one is your favourite team principle and why?
I really rate both Andreas Seidl and Toto Wolff as Team Principals. Andreas is very focused and determined and has a really good relationship and way with the drivers - it’s very clear that the whole team feels very comfortable and confident in a way we haven’t seen for a very long time (not comfortable in a complacent way but it seems less like there is a constant internal war at McLaren than we have previously seen and the new management structure has played a big part in that in my opinion).
Toto is the most successful Team Principal on the grid and it has been really interesting to watch Mercedes grow into the team it is today and watch Toto and his crew take the good foundations that Ross Brawn, Norbert Haug, Schumi and Nico laid and develop it into the dominating Mercedes we have today. Toto and Niki Lauda as a duo truly killed the game in terms of playing the F1 game in all aspects and it’s really interesting to see the way Toto’s relationship with his drivers have developed. It’s also really interesting to hear how Toto himself has developed over the years (I highly recommend listening to this episode of Nico’s podcast).
#pals are wonderful#maisie loves f1#we are a few days late but here are some mini essays#they may be slightly incoherent because i am just not that smart today#and i always feel v self conscious about my knowledge of f1 or when i explain things about f1#anywayyyyyy enjoy!#leatherandcherryblossoms#Maisie answers

I think Alfa definitely told their drivers (Gio, bc I dont think Kimi was gonna do it anyway) to not kneel. I wouldn't be so sure about Ferrari though, since Charles liked that tweet criticising blm
I mean, Charles also liked a tweet saying "Like this if you need help" so idk what in the slow driving hell was going through his head that day.
As for the Alfa boys, Kimi will be Kimi. I does not give a crap about politics inside or out the track, he's there to race and thats it. So a ban on kneeling wouldn't have made a difference to him. (Still, disappointing as fuck)
Gio is the one that truly makes me upset. If you look at his social media, he spoke up for BLM and referenced specifically George Floyd. It may not look like a lot, but Italy is a massive shit storm when it comes to race atm. Black people = immigrants (as there is an influx of people escaping war thorn areas of Africa) and well... Immigrants are seen very VERY poorly (very much us Vs them thing). So for Antonio to even come out and say something, it was very interesting knowing especially that it would upset most of his fanbase.
Also, since the whole kneeling/not kneeling came out, I believe he's not released any interview about it. No statement, no reference etc. So I truly don't know what the hell is going on. But I am disappointed, very much so.

How much would I like to work for each F1 team:
Mercedes
9/10-Anything
Well payed for any position I have whether I am a driver or not, I can take home all driver trophies so it’s ‘fun’ even if I get 2th behind Lewis(frustrating too) and don’t forget that they are currently 2th-3th on the social media standing on WTF1 ,it has a good team overall.
RedBull
8/10-Anything else
Well payed for any position I have whether I am a driver or not, the team looks fine overall except for the principal and others ‘in power’ like Helmut Marko or head engineers, basically anyone who has a power over the drivers. Anyway, I would have to think a bit before getting one of the leading positions next to Helmut or Chrisian Horner since they are pretentious and Horner made fun of Gasly on Drive to Survive.
6/10-Driver
The officials get to have fun interviews, meetings and experiences but they’re treated horribly(and that’s why I don’t give them 7/10 + because of the fact that the drivers don’t get to keep the original trophies).
10/10-stunts only
I would LOVE being the stunt driver way more than being the official driver, like I already mentioned before, they officials obviously still do more experiences but the stunts are the most exciting part of the team that drivers did only some times, so I’d say 10/10 as an official stunt driver(they don’t seem to have an official one but I’d try to be that one anyway) also,it’s not as demanding in time as an official driver contract. Here’s the link of what I am talking about.
youtube
Renault
9/10(driver)
?/10(other)
I don’t have any information about how much non drivers get paid and I don’t have enough videos of the rest of the team but until now every driver seemed satisfied to be with that team and the interviews are nice. Anyway the mechanics haven’t had the best first impression from me since they also made fun of Grosjean on ‘Drive to Survive’. Anyway, now that it’s becoming ‘Alpine’, the car and colours already motivate me even more.
McLaren
6/10-Driver
McLaren is one of those teams who keeps their drivers’ trophies and even though they have a successful history, it’s not successful enough for me to become their driver with that condition. Anyway, some say that one of the reasons why Lewis left that team is because of the trophies, indeed he only has his first one from his days with McLaren. Although they seem to often have fun experiences.
9/10-Other
They also seem to have fun in their own way and I really liked the video of McLaren about how their staff’s maintained their mental health during quarantine. I don’t know if they are payed enough or not though, but I have seen that they travel in groups:They have a private jet for the rest of the staff only and a private bus so I guess that even if they are payed averagely, they don’t have to spend money on transportation which is pretty much expensive if you are not one of the main figure of the team. Anyway the mechanics and principal haven’t had the best first impression from me since they also made fun of Grosjean on ‘Drive to Survive’ (yes, them too).
Racing Point
3/10-Driver
After what’s happening this year, I would just feel a little bit under pressured, hoping not to loose my seat especially after what Perez has done for the team. They don’t seem to have as much fun or experiences as others and I wouldn’t feel 100% comfortable to work for a team that has ‘stolen’ another team’s engine. There’s also the whole drama of the unreported Covid case. Basically, there are too many controversies caused by the leaders that have you in in social media and tabloids as one of the possible main faces. If you asked me last year, I wouldn’t have decided such a low mark.
5/10-Other
I guess that they are payed averagely or enough at least from what I have seen happening in Drive to Survive, I also heard that if it wasn’t for Perez ,half of the team would have been dismissed because of the lack of money. I think that they are simply OK now that they have money coming in. I don’t know much from the team overall but they are dominating the social media team standings (on WTF1 on YouTube). But like on the driver’s case,it isn’t amazing working for a controversial team, even when you are not the face of it. Just earing this and that about your team makes you want to part away. Especially if you are one of the mechanics who had to build the car, you’d just feel insecure about the whole copycat thing. There’s also the fact that the mechanics made fun of Grosjean and Sainz for crashing on ‘Drive To Survive’.
Ferrari
8/10-Driver
Because each one of them has their own particular experience which can go from very well to simply good: Even when you don’t leave as the most satisfied driver, your time there has been memorable and it’s literally a honour being associated with the first and most successful (not anymore...) team ever, which also has most fans out of all teams. Ferrari also has a thing for traditions and strikes back at whoever talks badly about them,so I would have to pay attention to what I say but that’s not a problem for me since I am a private person and I don’t talk much. Many fun/media experiences guaranteed whether it’s for Ferrari’s social media presence or not. A lot of money for sure, not only from Ferrari but from the sponsors too. Be aware that getting famous has a lot of cons too, especially during this digital era that has a lot of haters and misunderstandings. But if you are a calm and cautious driver, everything should be fine. But on the other side,Ferrari has ‘ruined’ many drivers in past (that’s what most people say,I believe that even if they weren’t as fortunate, like I already said, they had benefits from it).
10/10-Other
In Ferrari even mechanics are well paid and if we are talking about 2020 I’d say that it’s ever better being with Ferrari since I am Italian, although they don’t have races in Rome. Saying that you work with Ferrari even if you have a small role will always put a good impression in everybody.
Alpha Tauri
9/10-Anything
Another Italian based team,so it’s a good preference for me. The whole team seems good for now. They also have some interesting experiences but not many.Though now that they are with RedBull, I don’t know if the drivers get to keep their trophies.
Alfa Romeo
8/10-Anything
The last Italian team, like I said, I have a slight preference for them in terms of comfortabiliy. The environment seems overall fine and they had to have something to convince Kimi to move from Ferrari OR he wanted to keep being in the business but had small problems in Ferrari want convinced him to move away. Whatever happened he seems happier than when he was during his Ferrari days and remember that’s he’s being paid A LOT LESS than before(37 millions from 2014-2017 to 8 millions in 2020). I just hope that they can succeed in future.
Haas
6/10-Driver and leaders
Even thought it was fun hearing Gunter Steiner on Drive To Survive with his accent, I am anti profane and I couldn’t tolerate being around him all the time as a driver or other big image of the sport. They don’t have many any experience and that’s makes the team a little boring.
7/10-Other
I like that the team does its own thing and it’s sad that this year’s car starts good but the farer you go,the worse it gets. Good team so far. But I didn’t feel comfortable when they laughed at Gunter’s joke on Grosjean at the gathering, still, maybe they felt obligated. Here’s what I am referring about regarding the car:
youtube
Williams
8/10-Anything
It must be sad being the very last team, especially when you’ve had such a successful past. Not to talk about how the whenever they are on points ,something happens .🥺 But all these years they seem to have a good environment. And as in 2020,they showed me that they ALL have at least a little bit of happy sometimes,on and off YouTube and they are currently 2/3 on the Social media team standings on WTF1. Speaking of,I like how they laugh at their condition. The drivers are fairly paid and maybe the rest of the team too but it’s sad that they don’t even gain points,so they probably haven’t seen additional money for years.
Percentages from bottom to top:
Racing Point-160
Haas-260
RedBull-280 (non classified stunt position)
McLaren-300
Williams-320
Alfa Romeo-320
Renault-360 (to revise because there’s almost no information about the rest of the team)
Final 3,tie lineup adjusted from least to top pick.
Alpha Tauri-360
Still under RedBull leaders. I am not sure about that but they may or may not keep my trophies because it’s what RB does. May be obligated to give space to rookies or RB drivers and move to RB or another team.
Mercedes -360
Fun experiences but not fun enough for me.
Ferrari-360
Actual fun experiences. I can stay close to home.
My thoughts on this:
Honestly I didn’t expect to give McLaren such a low mark , they’re a good team overall but it’s off, same for Haas but I kind of expected it on them.
Pay attention:
Every team worker except drivers, gets paid a certain amount of extra money depending on how much they score after each race. For example Mercedes P1 and P13 ,they gain 5 thousands each for the P1 an 0 for the P12. Another example is Ferrari P2 and P3,they gain 3 thousands each for the P2+ 1 thousand each for the P3. It’s called Prize Money and it’s given from CVC,not the team. Drivers don’t get it because they already have the amount of it decided on the contract with the team.
When I say ‘fun’ experiences, I don’t mean that they all have to have fun all the times. I mean that people or enjoying their time on work and being productive and proud at the end of their day. Not everything that is fun means people laughing, I went trought this: People thought that I hated my time there just because I wasn’t joining and unconditionally enjoying them all the times and that mindset made them annoying and annoyed by me so I didn’t feel wanted anymore and felt even more uncomfortable than before. That’s why McLaren had 9/10 on ‘Other’: The fact that they talked about mental health made them more likable as a team because it’s not blind or unresponsive towards their crew’s state. I hope that they learned from when they made fun of Grosjean on DTS. RB drivers and engineers also have interesting experiences but considering but considering the other cons I didn’t rank them higher on ‘Driver’.

Okay I’m like several months late with my Hot Takes re Drive to Survive but I wrote out about 50 million pages in my notebook about S2 so you’re getting them anyways! (I’m sorry that this is so long I had a lot of thoughts) - Warning for spoilers!
First of all, I like DTS I think it’s a very good addition to F1 and captures the drama (albeit amplified drama for effect in places but we’ll get to that) and brings across the personal side of F1 very well. It’s catered towards the casual fan rather than the fanatic which I think is great and it can be entertaining still for the avid viewer because of the focus on the personal aspect. I liked that we got more people this series like Rupert, Michael, Paddy etc. It was nice to see more of the people around the drivers and how they all make the F1 World tick. The only addition I didn’t like was the whole Rich Energy stuff I don’t think it added anything other than unnecessary air time for Rich Energy At first I wasn’t sure about the episode per team ‘narrative’ but it grew on me as I watched more not totally as I still have some issues with it.
Will Buxton....There’s certain bits I liked about his inclusion such as the added context to things that might not have made sense to the casual viewer. I think my main problem came in the Ferrari episode where he overemphasised the rivalry beyond the racetrack. I get Netflix wanted to push the rivalry but it was undermined by the clips of the drivers interacting. I don’t really like Will as a journalist that much but I do feel that an outside context to provide an element of narration is needed just maybe not by him.
My main issue with DTS is the narrative structure of it but I understand that Netflix wanted to push the narrative that they want. For example the portrayal of Max in season 1 and then this supposed Daniel Vs Carlos rivalry (maybe it exists I don’t know but if I looked at f1 2019 I wouldn’t say that there was this whole massive rivalry between them). I think it would’ve worked had they gone for the more Mclaren vs Renault rivalry instead of going ‘these two drivers’ and focused on the whole team instead. I’m not a huge fan of the team by team episodes (especially as three teams were basically omitted from the series (Toro Rosso were there for like a second but no real focus on them)) and would’ve preferred a more linear structure of 2 races per episode say but that’s just my opinion. I think there was no real progression through the season you knew Australia was first and Brazil was towards the end but you had no real reference as to the order of the races. I was about to say that you know it was getting later in the year as episodes went on but then I remembered ep 9 catapults you back to Silvo and then suddenly you go to Brazil and then Abu Dhabi and it’s the end of the season.
I also feel that a double hit of the Red Bull saga was nice but I think more inclusion of Toro Rosso would’ve been good at this point (a mention of Dany would’ve been brilliant) but I understand a lot was happening around the driver switch which was more interesting than another story line they could’ve explored.
I think there was too much Renault or at least too much for mu liking. They got half the first ep and half the second and then another later on. It was a lot for a team that had a pretty uninteresting year. Idk if they had some sort of deal or whatever but it was a lot.
No Racing Point or Alfa Romeo was interesting. I think Kimi’s contribution at the end was great and in some ways I love that, that’s all we get but I would’ve liked more of him and I think Netflix could’ve made some sort of ‘cult hero’ out of him but there we go. (Is cult hero the right term? Idk but you get what I mean hopefully).
Mclaren got half an episode basically. I liked what we got but it wasn’t enough in my view and it didn’t cover their whole resurgence from the years before. More could’ve been made of the fact that they were so bad previous and that 2019 was a real turning point and such a good season for them. I know Netflix is all about the drama but I think they really missed out on not including Lando at all except for 1 or 2 seconds of screen time that he got. Comedic relief would’ve worked nicely. Especially with how likeable he is as a person and how marketable he can be (I hate that phrase, sorry Lando). He was one of the three rookies. 2nd in F2, given the hype at the end of Season 1 and then nothing in Season 2. If they hadn’t gone team by team then a rookies episode would’ve been really interesting. And we know how much Netflix followed him because of Instagram, Twitch etc. It baffles me really that he wasn’t included more.
Some races were pretty much glossed over completely (no mention of the 1000th Race in China, fine it was boring but surely the 1000th race deserves a mention). Some missed the drama. Canada - Switching of the signs. Japan - Quali and race on the same day. No mention of P20 to P2 in Germany for Seb at his home race (fine they were following Mercedes there but). Bahrain? Was Bahrain mentioned at all? I just think there was a lot missed out. Also Renault- Disqualified from Japan? Surely that’s drama enough for you Netflix.
No tribute to Charlie was also a strange move considering how big a part he was of the sport. Even a mention would’ve been nice. A tribute. Anything really. It was disappointing.
I didn’t really like the Haas episode but this is mainly the beef I have with Gunther rather than anything else.
The Mercedes episode was really nicely done, I really liked it. The addition of the timer for the pitstop was a great move. The Wiliams episode was prossibly my favourite - Not enough Robert though I have to say, if you need a story there’s one! Of all the episodes I think this one flowed the best and I enjoyed Claire’s interview with the Netflix lady when she didn’t ask the final question and Claire asked her too and gave a great answer. But that’s probably because I am a long suffering Williams fan so there we go.
I did like DTS, I know this post comes across as me going ‘this is wrong, this is bad’ but it’s mostly just small irritations that I have with it and I do understand that they can’t include absolutely fucking everything into it. It’s a nice addition to the sport and I hope it brings more fans in (Pretty sure it has been doing so which is always nice). I liked all the episodes except the Haas one and the majority of the Carlos vs Dan ep but I do feel it is an improvement on season 1 and that as time progresses the series will get better and better. So yeah, overall I liked it I just personally had a few issues with some bits but I’m excited for whatever they’re gonna make with Season 3.
(Sorry this is so long, If you’ve read all of it, thank you and fucking well done)

Sorry to disturb you and sorry if this sounds presumptuous. I'm very new to F1 and still trying to catch up with everything and I found the asks you answered before about Carlos and Max (the Verstappens threatening them with taking Max off to Mercedes or Ferrari thing). I keep seeing some people claim that it was Sainzs spreading the rumors about Max going to Mercedes or Ferrari. 1/2
But judging by... many things, I don't think i'm very convinced?? It really confuses me and I wonder if there were any trustworthy sources that I can find? I'm not an English speaker so excuse me if I made any mistakes. Really love your blog, and thank you so much for everything!! 2/2
First of Hi! Your english is brilliant. And im so glad you like my blog.❤️❤️
I’ve never seen those claims before and I dont really understand why they would. What purpose would that serve? And I cant find anything on it either. Anyway I can safely say they’re bullshit. Purely because Jos himself went on record saying they were thinking about moving once his contract was over.
Speculation continues to swirl around the future of 18-year-old F1 rookie sensation Max Verstappen, with reports suggesting that the youngster is Maranello bound when Kimi Raikkonen decides to quit. “I think Max will stay here for another year to gain experience and then think about changing teams to get a better car”
Was seen talking to Toto while rumours were swirling that he was going to leave RB.
“Mercedes’ Toto Wolff has already been spotted in conversation with Verstappen’s father Jos.
Wolff wrote off the meeting as mere “coffee” with the former F1 driver, but when asked why Verstappen’s manager Raymond Vermeulen was also there, the Austrian told F1’s official website: “No, not sure!”
“Wolff had been seen in discussions with Verstappen's father Jos during the Russian Grand Prix weekend”
And most drivers when asked about moves to other teams will point out their already existing contracts and say something like “I’m very happy where i am, not looking blah blah blah. There was never any denial about talks or calling out the false rumours. They stoked them at every turn.
He referred to Max’s existing Red Bull deal but commented: “Whether that makes it impossible? I think in life nothing is impossible.”
Jos added: “We are always thinking about the future, as ultimately the goal for Max is to win races and fight for the championship.
But Verstappen said the rumours are flattering anyway, “It means I’m doing well. Sure it would be nice to drive for Ferrari. I think if you get a chance like that, you have to take it.”
“And has the Dutch camp played a role? Father Jos Verstappen and manager Raymond Vermeulen were schooled in the dark art of F1 politics by Flavio Briatore and Tom Walkinshaw, and they likely pre-empted the swap – using threats of Max signing pre-contracts elsewhere as leverage.” (X)
Pretty sure there’s more quotes from Jos out there too but dont really want to spend more time googling him than I have. Hope that answers your question. XX
#just realised i didnt put links for the other quotes in#theyre all from either autosport or grandprix365#Anonymous

F1 Advent- Day 4- All of the grid.
All 20 drivers clumped into the ice rink, 2 by 2. Once they had all arrived, they looked between themselves in confusion as to why someone had brought them here. From the side of the rink, Charlie whiting walked out with a small smile "I'm glad you all could make it, now all of you can Ice skate, right?" The elderly man asked and was met by nods, some apprehensive. "Good, because today you are all doing Ice hockey, to find out who is team captain, please will you all come and choose a stick from this tin." The man refered to a tin in his hand and shook it for emphasis. "Whoever's got a blue tipped stick is the captain." He explained.
The drivers slowly came one by one and pulled out a stick, some groaning (Daniel) and others cheering (Stoffel) when they weren't chosen as Captain. Once all the sticks had been chosen, everyone looked for the captains. The two Finn's meekly raised their blue tipped sticks to the sky "Perfect, an age-long battle, rekindled." Daniel narrated quietly. Charlie turned towards the pair. "Very good, now choose your teams..."
Soon after, two teams filtered onto the pitch. The blues consisted of Valtteri, Marcus, Lewis, Kevin, Lance, Esteban, Hulk, Daniel, Brendon and Romain. On the Red side were Kimi, Seb, Charles, Pierre, Fernando, Stoffel, Carlos, Sergio, Sergey and Max.
Marcus and Sergey positioned themselves in-goal and 5 others filtered out. Brendon, Romain, Esteban and Lance to a side from the blues, with the Mclaren pair and Carlos and Sergio joining on the bench.
When the game started, it was clear that Valtteri's side had the advantage in the defense, Marcus refusing the puck to come into their net. To be fair, mainly the nordic quartet, Seb, Lewis, Daniel and Max. were either playing or trying, the others occasionally helping or standing to a side or looking awkward. Daniel whistled innocently as he stuck out his skate causing max to have evasive action and crash right into the side of the box, earning a giggle from the Aussie "What was that for!" Max shouted as Charlie sighed raising up his hand to stop the pair from fighting out. After the first time slot was up, Valtteri's team were leading 3-1 to Kimi's team. "It's a shame." Stoffel mused. "We have what we have. I would like a better score but this is what we have." Fernando added. All four from the bench substituted on, with only Kimi and Seb staying on for their team as Marcus and Valtteri stayed on for theirs. "knock those Ferrari's down, show them why Mercedes still rules." Lewis whispered to his team-mate with a grin, sticking up his thumbs.
The second half was much closer between the teams, but a late zip from Valtteri, battering past the defence and shooting from the left, scored a goal for his team. The end score was 9-8.
Valtteri's team cheered wildly, Lewis and Valtteri hugging each other tightly, earning a low-key wolf whistle from Daniel. After a moment, Valtteri looked back at Kimi's side and skated over catching Kimi just before he left "Hey Kimi." He called and the other Finn turned to look at him "Hä?" He asked "That was a good game, I hope we can play each other again soon." He proposed, holding out his hand, to which the elder took with a firm handshake and a smirk "I'd like that." He replied.
And thus, Charlie decided from the growling Max and the Kevin who looked as if he was going to smack Nico into a wall, that Finn's and Swedes are dead serious about the sport and some idiots shouldn't be trusted.
-----------
Day 4 / 24
I'm sorry if any of the infomation is wrong I've never been ice skating or done ice hockey so I had to rely on what I've seen and such.

There were a lot of talks about the Ferrari being ‘’illegal’’ in the past few weeks, so here’s what’s been going down, in a rough Google translate way and from some tweets:
Mercedes hits twice. The first suspicion arose, because the Ferrari engines emit a cloud of smoke when starting like an old steam locomotive. It mainly concerned the engine of Kimi Raikkonen. There was a quick suspicion that Ferrari still use oil in the combustion process to increase performance. Several investigations by the FIA went nowhere. Ferrari remained in all races with oil consumption below the limit of 0.6 liters / 100 kilometers.
Then Mercedes suspected that Ferrari mix hydraulic oil through supply lines in the cylinder. The FIA examined the hydraulic circle of the Ferrari in China and got drawings of the entire oil system. With the result: Everything is legal.
The most recent suspicion occurred in Baku on the table. Ferrari is about a clever circuit of the battery cells in the short term to draw more energy from the energy storage than the allowed four megajoules. Allegedly, the battery has two plugs, via which individual electrical power is dissipated. The FIA began its investigations on Saturday. On Sunday, all engine manufacturers got mail from the World Association. You need to get diagrams showing how energy is stored, delivered and distributed. With enough suspicion, batteries could even be removed. The topic could be the formula 1 busy topic in the next few weeks.
When it comes to the question of how an outside team comes to such a hidden detail, there are a few explanations. The most likely: The former Ferrari engine boss Lorenzo Sassi talked. He’s been working with Mercedes since April.
Or Ferrari use the electric turbocharger for gas production when blowing the rear wing in the coasting of the engine. This is allowed but costs electricity, which then can not be used for the propulsion of the car. When the driver goes off the gas, the electric machine drives the turbine. As when accelerating to fill the turbo lag. The compressed air is chased by the engine without combustion. The exhaust stream delivers so even while braking by blowing the wings, giving surface pressure points. But this trick also costs energy that is missing elsewhere. The competition is puzzled why Ferrari sacrifices energy from the electric storage for a small aerodynamic advantage.
The most curious and ridiculous complain comes from Red Bull and it’s that from a bird's-eye view, a tiny piece of asphalt can be seen in the area between the mirror and the sidepods. You can also argue the other way round. If one were to look at the Ferrari from below, certain body parts that are higher than 50 centimeters above the reference plane may not be visible in the area in front of the side boxes. The rule is so complicated that not even seasoned engineers can explain it. Even FIA race director Charlie Whiting laughingly admits: "Even I push to my limits." It is about Article 3.5.4 of the Technical Regulations. . Because it was a insignificant thing without competitive advantage, none of the other rivals made a big shout, but Red Bull insisted so that’s why Ferrari added those ‘spikes’ to the mirrors.
Here’s the rule Red Bull claim they broke :
No part of the area enclosed by the intersection of the following lines, on a plane 500mm above and parallel to the reference plane, may be visible from directly above the car:
