What is Blogging?
Blogging is a simple process of putting out content just like detailed information like reviews, comparisons and so much more..

How to First Create a Website to make money blogging?

By Displaying those Ads, physical product offerings, and affiliate marketing, you will surely start seeing some money come in.
Here are the Steps by Step guide to make money blogging
You have already created your blogging site and as a blogging beginner you would want to pay interest in what other blogging heads are doing to know;
What and where to avoid spilling your content or getting content ideas from…
Now let’s go through the whole process in detail. Here are the 10 steps to carry out to be able to make money blogging on the internet:
Brainstorm ideas and choose a name for your Blog
Get Web Hosting
Install WordPress
Install a WordPress Theme
Customize your Blog
Come up with Blog Topics
Write Your First Masterpiece
Create an Editorial Calendar
Monetize Your Blog
1. Find Ideas and Choose a name for you Blog
Creating a Blog you will have to pick a niche and your ideas or content should be very narrow-head to a particular industry (Niche) as possible.
And since they are millions of people like you already online doing or blogging the same thing as you intend to do, you will have to create some form of uniqueness that will differenciate your voice from your competitors.
And you will try to make it unique and diverse that will make you stand out and gain more attraction from your audience.
Note: when it comes to choosing your blog’s niche, there are two key questions to ask yourself.
Do you enjoy Learning about the Topic
Is the public also showing interest in your Topic
Check if the name you come up with is available;
A. What do we mean by Love what you will teach:
It’s all about your PASSION! for you to be able to make money blogging you will have to stay consistent and to be able to stay consistent you will have to love what you teach.
when we mean you should love what you will teach we are simply trying to keep you at the safe side.
Because when you teach what you love it helps you to always stay up with recent updates to share and more topics to come up with more topics to blog about…
If you are left in the wilderness alone (still confused) then think it this way
What do your friends and family normally come to you specially about for advice, that particular topic that they find interesting and think you are the perfect person to explain to them.
B. Are Other People Around the World Interested in the same Topic
Do people around the world search for the Topic or particular niche you have picked cuz if people are not then you will not be able to make money blogging.
For Example, let’s consider this Topic “My Family Matter”.
Here is the search result;
The search simply shows that this particular topic has been put out over (000) times but the score for people who are searching for this in a month is on the low side (10 searches).
So what’s is the need to go to that large broad market with a lot of wolf-like competitors which would not allow you to show up in a single search for just as little as 10 customers, NO! And if for any reason you really want to really talk about this then you should consider narrowing down the Topic or going for a more specific keyword.
Pick a Name for your Blog
To be able to Make money Blogging you will have to be known with a name your customers can regularly type in the search box ins search of your content.
This is the part you should be very careful and mindful of course a mistake you make while choosing your name can affect your business listing a lot.
At this point don’t overthink it and to even make things easier you can come up with your brand name by simply take a related word and combining it with your real name or personal name and that becomes your Brand name.
Let’s look at the name of my Business Praiz Digital @ prazdigitaltech.com which is simple and I came up with that by just simply combining my name PraiseGod (Praiz) with the industry I intend to go into which is Digital Marketing >Praiz >digitaltech>.com.
And they are another way you can come up with ideas by just taking a pen and paper. Then spend about ten minutes writing every word or name idea that comes to your mind.
From there you can start combining them and see which best sounds good and will definitely in the short run stand out the most.
With all that Been said you will have to pick a domain if you look above or below this you will find the .com at the last part of my Brand web name which is simply called a Domain.
Praiz > digitaltech > com.
And right now will have to find you a domain.
What is a Domain?
A domain is an area of control or a sphere of knowledge or rather a domain is a sphere of knowledge identified by a name i.e the sphere is your website and the knowledge is the articles or useful information you share and both are the attributes customers know when they visit your domain name they get… Understood!
It is necessary that every blogger looking to make money blogging should have a specific domain.
And the Domain Provider we will be using as I mentioned before is one of the cheapest web hosters on the internet Bluehost and All you have to do is head to Bluehost with this quickly.
But before that Make sure when choosing a Domain from Bluehost or any Web hosters to always go for a .com where possible and Avoid mixtures of numbers, hyphens, and homophones.
And also make sure to keep it short and simple for easy understanding and recollection, and above all avoid misspelling.
2. Get Web Hosting
Ready to get your Blog Live then let’s jump right to it.
To make things easier and simple I will break this guide into various segments that will help you get started in just minutes, that makes you happy then follow me ahead Now Click on the image Bluehost sign up:
And I really recommend you start with it because it’s one of the most reliable and cheaper web hoster on the internet and with its user-friendly integration you can get started in minutes.
Head to Bluehost and click on get started Now.
Next, you’ll see three different plans. Scroll down and select the Basic Plan for $2.95/month. It includes everything you need when you’re just getting started.
And you can always upgrade later if you need to. So, for now, select the Basic Plan and you will get that price as a fan of Praiz Digital.
I can’t go further on this guide but you can read the full guide on my site.

Bluehost Hosting  It Is Cheap, But Is It Good?
What is Bluehost and what type of hosting it offers? 🤔
Tumblr media
go website
Over the years, Bluehost has grown to be one of the most popular hosting companies out there, especially for WordPress sites.
Just glancing at their homepage and all the different products that Bluehost offers tells you a lot about why it’s won so many users over. First off, Bluehost has numerous different hosting products in their portfolio – not just simple website hosting.
Second, their prices are really, really affordable. Plus, you also get a handful of bonuses thrown in for free. This makes your overall cost of launching a site much lower vs what you’d have to pay with the competition.
But let’s start at the beginning. Here are the different types of hosting that Bluehost has in store, including one that is likely going to be the pick for most users.
Let’s divide the list into a couple of categories:
Entry-level web hosting
This is the budget solution in Bluehost’s portfolio of web hosting. These plans are usually chosen by users who are new to the concept of owning a website and needing web hosting to make it happen.
Bluehost has two main offerings that fall under entry-level hosting:
Shared web hosting
Basic WordPress hosting
While it may seem like the latter is better if you want to use WordPress as your website engine, in reality, both are the same product. From what I’ve seen, this is simply a different marketing framing, but the elements on the inside are the same.
Managed WordPress hosting
The basic WordPress hosting plans mentioned above are just that – basic. However, Bluehost also offers a more advanced package called Managed WordPress.
Compared to the basic offering, the managed variety takes care of all the technical aspects of the hosting setup and WordPress maintenance for you.
In other words, when you’re on managed WordPress hosting, you don’t have to worry about anything related to keeping your site operational. Instead, you can just focus on creating content and promoting your site.
Managed plans also give you more power under the hood 💪, which is important for sites with an established position in the market that receive more traffic.
Bluehost also has a tailor-made offering for WordPress websites running WooCommerce – for eCommerce stores. Those plans come with some WooCommerce-specific elements pre-installed (WooCommerce itself, an optimized theme, payment processing tools, security, extras).
If you’re looking for a host because you are indeed going to be launching a WooCommerce store, this is probably the solution for you.
Professional hosting
The last tier of Bluehost hosting is what we can call professional-level hosting. Two main products here:
VPS hosting
Dedicated servers
The former is a very interesting concept that’s built around hosting virtualization. VPS stands for virtual private server. What you’re actually getting here is access to a web hosting setup that runs as a virtual machine on a bigger, physical server. It’s a setup beneficial when building web apps or other types of web-based products that are not necessarily standard websites.
If you do indeed need a whole physical machine at your disposal, that’s what dedicated servers are for. This type of web hosting is usually the most expensive and powerful hosting option available with most companies.
Bluehost hosting review: features and pricing ⚙️💸
Tumblr media
As you read above, Bluehost has many different hosting plans and tiers available, and each of them delivers a slightly different set of features.
For the purpose of this Bluehost hosting review, we’ll look at the entry-level plan called Basic Web Hosting.
It’s the most budget-friendly solution in the lineup and, for that reason, also the most popular one among customers.
Here’s a snapshot of the pricing page at the time of writing:
As you can see, Bluehost has a very affordable offering that starts at just $2.95/mo. However, the first thing you must know about this price is that you have to sign up for a three-year contract in order to get it. It is also paid upfront, which means that you do have to shell out $106.20 on day one.
There are options to begin with shorter contracts, but the prices grow with those a bit. Here’s the full picture:
36 months: Basic $2.95/mo, Plus and Choice Plus $5.45/mo, Pro $13.95/mo
24 months: Basic $3.95/mo, Plus and Choice Plus $6.95/mo, Pro $15.95/mo
12 months: Basic $4.95/mo, Plus and Choice Plus $7.45/mo, Pro $18.95/mo
Bluehost doesn’t offer month-to-month payment options
Okay, but what do you get for these prices?
Overall, Bluehost focuses on delivering two things:
the basic set of features and server capabilities that most users will need,
making those features easy to use and accessible.
All the entry-level plans are very similar on paper, but there are a couple of fine differences.
First of all, none is “more powerful” than the other. Speaking in terms of computing power and the “scale of website,” they can all handle the same load. The differences are mainly in the size of website and number of websites you’re allowed to run.
On the Basic plan, you are allowed only one website. Your disk space is also limited to 50 GB.
All the other plans let you run unlimited websites and consume unlimited disk space while doing so.
This is great because what it means in practice is that if you want to build 2+ websites, Bluehost will only charge you $5.45/mo for that.
Here’s what else you get.
The Basic plan:
24/7 customer support via phone and chat (more on the quality of that later in this Bluehost hosting review),
access to custom themes from within the Bluehost panel,
a free domain name for the first year(!) plus access to a domain manager,
email hosting – albeit it’s kind of hidden in the panel,
a $100 Google Ads credit and Google My Business integration,
free CDN integration – a “content delivery network” hook-up means that your website’s data is served from multiple servers across the web instead of just one machine; this improves your site speed a lot,
free SSL certificates.
The Choice plan throws in a free Office 365 subscription for one month. The Choice Plus gives you additional access to free domain privacy (so that no one can check your personal data associated with the domain name) and free automatic backups. Lastly, the Pro plan offers an additional dedicated IP address (important when building web apps/tools, not so much for standard websites).
Overall, there really is nothing here that’s missing. Bluehost has put some real thought behind what the essential web hosting features are and then put them all together in this offering.
The free domain is a huge deal in particular! You’d usually have to pay around $15 for a new domain name registration. While it’s not a lot, it still adds up to your overall website launch bill. The fact that Bluehost throws that in for free is great.
⚠️ Note. Mind the renewal prices. Bluehost, like most hosting companies, will charge you a different amount when first signing up for their service vs renewing after a while. Those renewal prices are higher. Take a look at that pricing screenshot above one more time. See the crossed off price below the main price? That’s the renewal price – it’s what you’re going to pay after your initial contract is up.
Bluehost hosting review: ease of use 👐
Bluehost does a lot to make the signup and website launch process as smooth as possible. They realize that whoever’s choosing the entry-level plan probably doesn’t have a lot of experience with web hosting. Bluehost tries to make it possible for that user to configure everything on their own without outside help. All within the Bluehost hosting interface.
Once you get through the purchase process on Bluehost’s website and finalize everything, you’ll be invited to your new user profile page.
Right away, Bluehost will ask you how you want to go about building your website and if you want to have WordPress installed on your setup. They will even ask you whether you want to work on your site in the classic model (by picking a theme and modifying it) or use Bluehost’s new builder interface.
I went with the first option since it’s more common for WordPress users to do so.
Next, right in the main dashboard, you get a couple of suggestions as to what you should do to make your site better:
You can log into your WordPress site directly from the dashboard as well – just click the Log in to WordPress button in the top right corner.
My Sites. Since you can have more than one site on most Bluehost hosting plans, this is where you can see them all.
Marketplace. Bluehost makes it easy to integrate your site with other third-party tools, add-ons, and also upgrade your hosting tier if needed. This section is where you can purchase and install those integrations with a couple of clicks.
WordPress themes and plugins. This is a subsection under Marketplace, but I feel I should highlight it here. Bluehost gives you access to custom WordPress themes right from the dashboard. It also hooks up to your site directly, so that you can purchase and install those themes all from the Bluehost interface. This can be a huge timesaver.
Email & Office. Bluehost gives you an option to integrate your site with hosted email via Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. This is where you can enable everything.
Domains. This is where you can manage your website domain(s) and purchase new ones.
Marketing Tools. This section is all about making it easier to integrate your site with popular marketing channels such as Google Ads, Google My Business, and others.
Advanced. Go here if you want to access cPanel (if this doesn’t sound like English, then Advanced is probably not a section for you).
Let’s look into what’s possible when managing your site, since that’s what most of us will want to do.
When you go to My Sites and select your site from the list, you’ll see the following panel:
This is a nice view of your site’s status all in one place. From here, you can access the themes you have installed, your plugins, and even oversee your marketing promotions, backups, user accounts, security, and more.
What’s great here is that everything is presented nicely, and you’re spared all the server lingo. You don’t have to be a pro to know what’s going on.
And I remind you that we are dealing here with basic, entry-level hosting setup that did cost a mere $2.95/mo. So…impressive.
Bluehost performance and load times 📈
Okay, so we know that Bluehost is cheap. But is it fast? There has to be a trade-off somewhere, right? Is it performance?
Let’s find out:
We did a very simple test. We set up a site using Bluehost’s tools, published some dummy content on it, added images, picked a theme and configured it, and basically made the site look real.
Then, we also added a couple of plugins for good measure, like WPForms, Yoast SEO, Jetpack, and a couple more.
Below are the results of the tests – done from several locations:
Bluehost hosting review: PERFORMANCE
I have to give it to Bluehost…considering this is budget hosting, the results are more than impressive!
Going below one sec for US traffic is pretty much all you can ask for with any hosting platform – even the more expensive ones.
Bluehost hosting review: customer support 🚑
Bluehost offers 24/7 phone and live chat support. Apart from that, there’s also a knowledge base where you can find tutorials and answers to the most common questions people have about Bluehost’s platform.
You can access the support chat from the main contact page on Bluehost’s site.
Bluehost asks a couple of questions to identify you as a customer, and then gets you through to a support agent.
From our experience when writing this Bluehost hosting review, a support agent got to us pretty much immediately after starting the chat.
The interaction was positive, the agent offered advice and was willing to help. However, we seem to had hit a wall in terms of what they’re actually authorized to do.
Granted, I did ask him to do a fairly specific thing.
Pros and cons of Bluehost hosting 👍👎
Before we give you our final rating in this Bluehost hosting review, let’s look at a quick list of pros and cons.
Pros 👍
The entry price is more than affordable ($2.95/mo).
They give you a free domain for the first year.
The setup is really easy to do, especially if you want to use WordPress.
The user interface is great, making it easy to do simple modifications and/or maintenance tasks.
The load times are really impressive, managing to go below the one-second mark.
The support is quick to respond.
Cons 👎
The renewal prices are much higher than the entry-level ones. That’s why you’re better off going for the max-term contract right out the gate.
While you can set up hosted email on the platform, it’s a bit hidden. You have to go to the cPanel view and set everything up there by hand.
The reviews on the web are mixed. Some users seem to be having issues with their setups. However, many of those reviews are from a while back.
Bluehost hosting review conclusion: Why use it over another host 💪
At the end of the day, Bluehost looks like a great solution for the budget-minded person who wants to launch a new site as quickly as possible and also fairly cheaply.
Bluehost has all the basic hosting features you might expect, and the performance isn’t lacking in any way either.
Granted, the tests we did haven’t been carried out over a long period of time, so you’re mileage may vary, but the early indicators are certainly more than positive!

Still worth going back and watching some of the older ones though. Klepic utilized to be on that show and back then in the early days was when it was the finest. Back when they essentially talked about gaming news with some semblance of intellect alternatively of just gushing about whatever game they are told is cool this week.

Blind Date Gaming: Konami GB Collection Vol. 3
Boy, I am WIPED after my date last night. It all started out as it usually does -- a quick visit to PRANG for an introduction to my next potential video game suitor. Who could have guessed that I would served up 4 dates! They all came together at once under the guise of Konami GB Collection Vol. 3.
Tumblr media
I was greeted at first by an anime schoolgirl with a huge hand and quite possibly a contender for the weirdest hairstyles I've seen in a while. What is that, a grass-inspired mohawk laid over top a normal haircut?
Tumblr media
Is this what the cows that make cowlicks eat?
What happened next was an eventful set of speed dates. This onslaught left me with no down time, thus the exhaustion. However, I did end up meeting some nice games. I'll speed through them each quick-like to keep this from being overly long. Luckily each of the games are pretty short (as expected from Game Boy games)!
Tumblr media
First up is Gradius II! Now, I've never actually played a Gradius game, so I can't say if this is a port, some reconfigured version of Gradius II, or what. What I CAN say is that it has tight controls, beautiful graphics, interesting bosses, and some fun gameplay.
Tumblr media
Looks like a rocky magic 8 ball
You start off hangin' out with what I assume are your dad and mom starships. Aww, family time! Soon, however, someone decks your old man and blasts your momma fulla lasers. Obviously disturbed, you fly forward and get chased by the perpetrator through a buncha rocks until you escape.
Tumblr media
Good thing this guy doesn't feel like firing at me for whatever reason
...Except you kind of don't? You end up going through a bunch of planetary landscapes, shootin' dudes and grabbin' powerups that let you fire lasers and stuff. Pew pew! You eventually get captured, break out, and summarily fly through a ship, an asteroid belt, and I think some alien's guts? I'm not sure; I never went to med school for interplanetary digestive systems. Bosses fight you at every turn, and they are so sweet. Like, I don't always know what I'm attacking, but it just looks so cool that I really don't care!
Tumblr media
Ever want to fight a kneeling, fanged alien stuck in a wall with detachable mouthy-brains? Yeah, well now you do, obviously!
In the end you find the enemy ship that assassinated your nuclear family with nuclear weapons, commit your own brand of galactic revenge, and I assume go on with your day in a half-arsed way, never addressing the journey you just went through for fear of sparking up some majorly weird PTSD.
Tumblr media
Next up is some Castlevania game! It claims to be Castlevania II, but don't think it's Simon's Quest since it doesn't have slow-scrolling text boxes telling me that night is a poor time to explore the world when suffering from a magical adversary's angry sentiments. Instead, you just go about whippin' junk. Alright, I can be a lion tamer for the undead.
Tumblr media
Why do cultists always gotta wear hoods? Can't they wear like a polo and some comfy slacks?
So in this installment, you can apparently shoot fireballs from a fully-upgraded whip, so it's instantly MUCH easier than most Castelvania games. The list of enemies is kind of lacking, but it was enough to feel competent. The level design was pretty spot-on, which is par for the course, though for some reason this game has a love affair with ropes? They're EVERYWHERE, but there's enough variation in the levels to give them pass. For example, some areas have auto-directional-pulling ropes, some ropes are spider webs made by enemies, some require quick sliding to avoid obstacles, etc.
Tumblr media
You gotta wonder, does the guy living here have to go through all these traps every day just to get his mail? And how does he carry groceries back to his (probably rope-decorated) kitchen?
The boss fights were definitely memorable. Some of their designs were flat-out brilliant, and they were all pretty fun! Your sub-weapons weren't really that useful here, but that's fine. The bosses, too, were made a little easier with the projectile whip, but the designers struck a good balance between fun and hard.
Tumblr media
These guys shoot out vertebrae in an arc, transferring them from one head to the other. I don't have a quip here, it was just a stupidly awesome designed boss that I wanted to gush about for a bit!
Well, perhaps I spoke too soon. The bosses were all fun except for the last 3 in the game. Allow me to whine and complain about them for a bit, if you will! The first was a tunneling snake on a forced scrolling screen that made you take damage unless you memorized where he was going to surface next (I HATE memorization-by-death gameplay). The next was a fellow Belmont who would relentlessly whip the crap outta you, throw swords all over the screen, and would probably be nigh impossible if I didn't have Holy Water. The final was Dracula, who I suppose gets a pass for being hard since he was the final boss...but he, too, was pretty much a memorization-by-death fight, too. The dude has 6 orbs revolving around him that spread out, essentially making 85% of the screen unsafe. Unless you know the specific spot to crouch down for the given position he's in, you get hurt, and you get hurt pretty badly. Oh, and you can really only hit him once per attack, so you'd better learn the safe spots for all 8 of his attack spots and hope you can hurt him and get into your safe position before taking damage.
Tumblr media
ouch ouch ouch OUCH
In the end, it was overall a pretty fun time. Konami definitely knows how to make a good sidescrolling action game, which is probably why they're half of the name of the 'Metroidvania' genre. Go team Belmont!
Tumblr media
Next up: Yie Ar Kung~Fu! What is this? I've never heard of it. It's a simple fighting game where you face off against 5 fighters, each with their own weapons and special moves. You play as a normal weaponless guy who can only kick and punch, because that's fair? Regardless, you must persevere through 4 rounds of these 5 fights, each time with your foes getting slightly harder.
Tumblr media
Mmyep, this is fair.
My trademark fighting game strategy of sweeping seems to work for the most part, though as the difficulty ramps up, the other fighters move with ridiculous speed between attacks. Eventually, the game just becomes 100% about approaching a foe with more range than you, which obviously is the main focus of fighting games. What's that? Combos? Pffft, those are lame, just have the enemies fly across the ring like a sugar-high Jack Russel Terrier.
Tumblr media
So this guy's power is to propel himself like a missile and look like an absolute goon while doing so
There's also a mini-game where you hit things thrown at you, but like they show up so quickly and your animation speed is so slow that it's impossible to do very well. It was an okay game overall, though, but I can sort of see why it isn't as well-known as Gradius or Castlevania.
Tumblr media
Last game: Antarctic Adventure! It's a penguin-based racing game! I think? Does this count as a racing game? Well, you race against the clock, so sure. You gotta move at top speed through an icy wasteland, avoiding sea lions and holes in the ice.
Tumblr media
I like how this sea lion looks after getting plastered in the face by a penguin moving at ~120 km/hr. Is he in shock? Is he alive? Should I notify his next of kin?
The lore is actually pretty deep in this game. The world has fallen into ruin due to global warming, and the glacier sheets on Antarctica are slowly melting away. As a penguin trained in espionage and terrorism, you must travel to the different embassies that many countries have propped up in an attempt to stake a claim in possibly the only livable area in the near future.
Tumblr media
The french are planning to build replicas of their famous landmarks here, like the Ice-full Tower and Arctic de Triomphe.
You're not exactly racing as much as you are keeping ahead of the authorities pursuing you for planting bombs in the embassies. If you successfully plant your payloads in all of the embassies across all of Antarctica, you destroy their chances of bringing cultural imperialism to the local wildlife. Your customs are at stake! You must cast your empathy aside for the greater good of penguin-kind!
Tumblr media
Also, you can sometimes turn into a helicopter? Not sure what that was about.
Okay, okay, yeah, I may have embellished a bit there. No, it's not as cool as that. You just run from one place to the next and heck if I'll ever find out why miscellaneous countries happen to have little castles in a barren arctic wasteland. People's taxes at work, I guess!
Tumblr media
Oh right, there's also a fifth option on the main menu. It's Ms. O.C. Anime Girl explaining things about the games to you. I can't read anything she's saying, though, so I can only imagine the shady koala statue in the back has some relevance to her dialogue.
So that ends an exhausting series of dates. Whew! Glad you toughed it out with me. As I've completed all of the games this time, I didn't think another date was warranted. However, Gradius and Castlevania were fun enough to say that sure, I guess, it's worth going on another date in the future. Maybe it'd be better to find the original games, though, instead of this particular port. I can only assume the extra screen real estate, better sound effects, and greater ROM size would only enhance their experiences. And speaking of experiences, grab a Sprite of Passage from the jar over there on your way out! It's mint-flavored and can double as a water purification tab if you're ever stuck somewhere in the wilderness!

HTB - Cascade
Tumblr media
So it’s been a while. Had a few real life events occur which distracted me from things and also made a silly nooby mistake that cost me some time but here we are. :)
Cascade was honestly a great machine in my opinion- I feel I’m now nearly there with knowing the basics of AD enum and it really brought home the damage that focusing on one objective can do.
Took me a stupidly long time to find the password of r.thompson as I was mistakenly focusing on finding the credentials of s.smith (I noticed he was a remote management user and thus likely to be a target.) But after that point things were pretty obvious (except decrypting arksvc’s password- spent sometime screwing aorund with ROT13 and all sorts. xD)
Tumblr media
Another domain controller and no web server... *cracks fingers in preparation for noob feels* Obviously our foothold is going to arise from SMB, AD and potentially Kerberos enumeration.
My enum tool performed a scan using enum4linux which returned nothing but possible users:
Tumblr media
There’s a large variety of possibilities here... The correct next step is to narrow that list down. Personally, I did this via the execution of getadusers: this reveals the last time the user logged on and thus gives us the knowledge of which user accounts are the most presently active:
Tumblr media
There are 4 highly likely users here: arksvc, s.smith, r.thompson and util. Previous execution of nmap’s ldap-search script led me to believe the target would be s.smith as this revealed him to be a remote management user; getnpusers revealed that no one had doesn’t require preauth set while kerbrute proved fruitless.
After several frustrated hours, I was looking through the results of ldap-search again which revealed some crucial information I had missed due to being too focused on s.smith: r.thompson had a property named cascadeLegacyPwd with a base64 encoded value. -.-
Tumblr media
A simple base64 decode later and I had a foothold... Finally; from here things seemed to be a bit easier!
With r.thompson’s credentials, I had access to the Data SMB share and the I.T files within (revealed with a simple smbclient -L and also via the results in ldap-search)
Some basic enum revealed an email sent by s.smith that would be relevant later and a VNC install reg file within \\10.10.10.182\Data\IT\Temp\s.smith\. This file held the hashed value of s.smith’s password.
A tool named vncpwd cracked this for me easily enough (or decrypted, simply saying hashed as passwords are commonly hashed rather than encrypted,) giving us access to Audit$ and winrm.
Audit held some interesting files- four DLLs related to SQLite, a DLL named CascCrypto, an exe named CascAudit and a db file. It’s likely these files were going to hold some critical information; to avoid being too single minded again, I first enumerated the system through winrm to ensure I wasn’t jumping down a rabbit hole (I wasn’t.)
Confident that the files within Audit$ were the way forward, I proceeded to uploaded the relevant DLLs and exe to Cascade and examined the contents of the db file- this held a base64 encoded password for arksvc and some information on deleted users; decoding the string proved fruitless this time, suggesting there was further encryption or hashing in place.
Running the exe with the relevant db file argument resulted in the addition of two rows to the DeletedUserAudit table within the db. Curious, I spent sometime attempting to view this information via LDAP queries as Steve but he seemed to lack the necessary privileges for this (nothing was returned despite there obviously being deleted users.)
Get-ADObject -filter 'isDeleted -eq $true' -includeDeletedObjects -Properties *
Fair enough; I recall seeing a file named ArkSvc within the Data share that referred to an AD recycle bin... Best to try this out again once we have ark’s credentials! We also now have the users flag which is always nice. :)
I tried using the strings command on CascAudit but this didn’t produce anything directly usable so I first decided to explore if there’s anything easily detectable going on with the string. As encryption and hashing aren’t really my areas, I wasted several hours seeing if I could produce any relevant text from the base64 string- ROT13, hashcat against MD4, MD5 and others, it goes on...
After a while I grew suspicious that the answer was in the exe and DLL- CascCrypto... The string was obviously encrypted and the details on the in-use algorithm were probably within those files.
I first used radare2 on CascAudit.exe to see if there was anything juicy that strings missed. This revealed the key c4scadek3y654321, the IV 1tdyjCbY1Ix49842 and the in-use algorithm AES but with the key being the only obvious string I didn’t immediately think to try the IV. Time to get my reverse engineer shit together...
Setting up dnSpy was a nightmare for me for reasons I can’t fathom- my host OS is Ubuntu but dnSpy is able to be run by WINE; not for me! I had dotnet40 installed via winetricks and everything too!
*sigh* Hello Windows, my old enemy... I downloaded an ISO image of Windows 7 x64 and successfully set up dnSpy here.
5 minutes later I had all the information I needed from the C# representation of the assembly code of the exe... Now time to decrypt, revealing the password of w3lc0meFr31nd.
Login... Now I’m ark; from my enum as Steve I was aware the path to root lay within ark’s AD Recycle Bin privileges and sure enough, the LDAP query that previously returned nothing returned another cascadeLegacyPwd; this time for TempAdmin.
From the email found within Data, I had an awareness that this password was also the password of administrator... A serving of baCT3r1aN00dles later and we have root.
Tumblr media
So, Cascade was a really enjoyable machine to me- I’ve got my head around AD enumeration a bit more and I’ve learned an important lesson about not focusing on one goal: sometimes the route in isn’t what you think. :)

Ciconia no Naku Koro ni Phase 1 : To You, The Replaceable Ones
I had planned to write this… review? analysis? of Ciconia Phase 1 right after finishing the game about two weeks after its release, but since then I've had trouble organizing my thoughts. The reason is that this first installment alone tackles a lot of themes: war, nationalism, technoscientism, media consumption and manipulation, the blurring limits between physical and virtual reality, education systems, generational gaps induced by technology, artificial procreation, old people robbing the youth of their dreams, the meaning of family and interpersonal bonds, and even transidentity (albeit briefly). And it is quite remarkable that almost all of those themes are represented by one object: the Gauntlet and the idea of “parallel processing” associated with it.
It's gonna be a long and messy review, I'll probably forget to mention some aspects of the story or overlook others, and I won't talk about every single character, but I'll try to cover the essential parts. Not easy considering how densely-packed the story is, but let's go!
So to start, I should probably focus on this VN's protagonist, Mitake Miyao. On a surface level, he's a bit of what you'd call a “tsundere”: harsh, a little irritable and sarcastic with his pals, but always well-meaning and easy to befriend in the end. One of the running threads of the story so far is that he's too well-meaning in fact, idealistic to a fault, which contributes to his odd charisma but also makes the increasing realization of his powerlessness all the more depressing. You don't want to see this guy fail, but because of the way the story is framed, you know he inevitably will.
For a while, the narration and dialogue like to repeat that “youngsters are each generation's main characters”, but that's a sentiment I couldn't quite share − in our real world, youngsters may be the ones will all the dreams, but they sure as hell aren't the ones making the decisions. The climate change crisis, for example, wouldn't be left unaddressed if that was the case. And sure enough, Ciconia isn't so naïve as to ignore that reality. Every single step of the way, Miyao thinks he can use his power to overturn the situation. Every single step of the way, he's reminded that in the end he's just a pawn moving however his higher-ups or other nebulous forces wish him to. That's a really powerful and relatable theme in this day and age, which raises the question of how far you can oppose a system you're an essential part of.
One thing that makes Miyao special, at least compared to his pals from the AOU, is that he's “ciconia-born” − born from natural procreation. Which means that unlike Jayden or Gunhild, he has bilogical family bonds but also hasn't been subjected to a genetic selection that would predetermine his path in life. At least supposedly, but we gradually learn that that may not quite be the case. In fact, that biological link to Toujirou ends up acting as a tether that robs Miyao of even more control on his own life than he thought, leading to the final tragedy of this first Phase.
There also lies this story's commentary on technology and man's increasing dependence on it − technology makes the kids' life easier, but it's also their undoing. One technology prevented an apocalypse that another caused, and the loss of the former brings about a new apocalypse. Humans created the 8MS but only a handful of scientists have a full understanding of how it works, just like today's technology are only fully understood by a small elite of technicians. We are increasingly dependent on tools whose principles are increasingly out of our grasp. Again, the Gauntlet is another reflection of that.
But back to Miyao and the Gauntlet Knights. In retrospect, it is clear that the way both the characters and readers learn about most dramatic developments through disincarnated news reports (with a goofy “news flash” alert by the frog AI Keropoyo to make it worse) is meant to build up that feeling of powerlessness, and also of disconnect. We should be alarmed that war is approaching, that terrible things are happening… but it all feels distant. After all, do you cry or tremble in fear when you learn that an eathquake killed a thousand people on the other side of the globe? No, you'll think “it's terrible” for a minute and then move on, because what can you do about it? Reading the second half of Ciconia felt a lot like that. And while that's part of the message, it is also to the detriment of the reading experience a lot of the time.
For a while (around the 60-to-80% portion of the game, roughly) we get a lot of redundant dialogue about commenting the news and Miyao rambling on about how they're all COMRADES MAINTAINING THE WALLS OF PEACE, again and again and again, to the point it becomes annoying. That's my only real gripe with the game − the feeling that, at times, Ryukishi forgot he was writing a story and went into political or philosophical essays about its themes instead. Maybe a manga or anime adaptation could help make these parts more… show-don't-telly. But as it is, it could have used some serious trimming down. That's hardly something entirely new − who can forget Krauss' tangent about 1986 Japan's economic situation or Beatrice's explanation of Hempel's crow? But in Ciconia the narration doesn't seem to come from any specific point of view except that of the author (and even on that front, the opening disclaimer warns us that the views expressed don't necessarily reflect the author's opinions), so those parts become all the more conspicuous. Unless this all turns out to be part of a Witch's game, which wouldn't be surprising.
Where Ciconia shines however, is at weaving a web of connections between the characters, one by one, to make you care about some and suspicious of others, sometimes both, and deliberately confuse you about who really controls whom. First we have the kids, with Warcat and Grave Mole which instantly grew on me (the slice-of-life TIPS focused on them had some of my favorite scenes actually), then the other kette with their own quirky charms… then the “villains”, with Toujirou and Seshat, then the Three Kings and Jestress who has a delightful dynamic with Toujirou, and then Toujirou is revealed to be Miyao's father, etc... It's a testament to how well all of those characters are established that I could remember almost all of them very quickly despite their massive number. Save for the Cairo Squad maybe. They're just kinda there. The (mostly) gorgeous character designs certainly help, even if Ryukishi still has a somewhat loose grasp of body proportions and of the… number of fingers on human hands. There's some improvement even in that department though.
While Miyao is for the most part the center of the cast, at least on the kids' side, that doesn't mean the others aren't interesting in their own right. Jayden is your classic “best buddy dudebro” whose easygoingness lets him bounce off Miyao's more strait-laced personality in a fun way, but his relationship with Meow, Miyao's “little sister” who shares the same body, allows him to show more sensitivity and shyness he would otherwise have. Speaking of Meow, she brings about another interesting element of worldbuilding − the existence of “Congenital Parallel Processors”, or CPPs, i.e. people born with multiple personalities, who are not considered mentally ill but a full-fledged minority with its own issues and “coming outs”. Although that aspect isn't developped much (Meow herself kind of disappears from the radar in the second half), we do get other examples of how it can manifest, notably with the character of Naima, whose unnamed alter-ego is violently protective of her, or Rukshana who's prone to abrupt personality changes when she laughs. The way Jayden kinda walks on eggs but genuinely tris to to treat Meow as her as her own person while respecting her and Miyao's privacy is frankly adorable, and I almost wish we got more of that at least in the TIPs!
The kette I found the most interesting, though, was Grave Mole, composed of Chloe, Lilja and Koshka. While a lot of characters have issues, all three of these girls are complete mental wrecks to some degree. Koshka spends her time between grumpily taking part in Kizuna chat rooms and horrific body experiments (usually simultaneously) when she's not training, Lilja has to take drugs to pretend like she's a happy, cute and mischievous cat-girl for the sake of making Koshka a more-or-less functional human being, and Chloe has to constantly deal with unfair punishments and a constantly battered self-esteem. As comedic as Okonogi's angry rants and karate-chops are played (and as much as I like this version of Okonogi, strangely enough), that scene where she gleefully lets Lilja be killed in battle makes it clear that her mental state is just as unstable as the other two's.
On the antagonists' side, things are a lot more blurry: a lot of them utter the arc phrase “All is in the name of guiding humanity down the right path.” However, what the right path is seems to vary depending on who says it. That's where a lot of the mystery lies − be it with Jestress, Seshat or Toushirou, their goals seem contradictory, and Tak… I mean Vier Dreissig doesn't even seem to have a goal beyond SCIENCE. But a big part of Phase 1's hook is that constant uncertainty as to who is playing whom and for what purpose. Even the Three Kings, who seem like your bog standard Illuminati knock-offs, might not be as much in control as they seem − hell, one of the big catastrophes (the fatal damage to the atmospheric 8MS) happens completely outside of their control, in an almost comically sudden way.
Speaking of comical… let's get to what I found personally fascinating but what other readers might have gripes with: the brutal tonal shifts and dissonances throughout the story. A cheery scene to announce the big success of a plan for the Order of the Public Bath? Keropoyo pops up to gleefully announce… an avalanche of terrible news that make the success from a minute ago meaningless. A big conference for peace where World War IV will most certainly be stopped? All of its participant die in an “accidental” explosion. Not to mention characters that are walking balls of tone dissonance like Chloe (who has many comical scenes but is clearly broken beyond repair) or the Yeladot Shavit girls (who by the end are forced to spew out fanatical bullshit with the same sparkly smile they sport when gushing about yuri ships).
This is of course embodied by the incredible climax where all the Gauntlet Knights celebrate their comraderie together in a virtual room… while their real selves are busy killing each other lest they're court-martialed for treason. The moment where all of Miyao's ideals are brutally trashed and scattered in a battle we don't even know the purpose of. The moment where the kids' taent for “parallel processing” becomes their sole mean of escaping the horror of their situation. The moment where all the absurdity, all the unfairness explodes in a depressing flourish. The moment also where the thematic resonance with Umineko becomes fully apparent − how can we not be reminded of Sayo and Maria escaping their shitty lives through their magic? Though of course Rose Guns Days also constantly came to mind, with the focus on war and nationalism, Japan being divided between a union led by the US and one led by China, and two of Miyao's closest friends being the American Jayden and the Chinese Lingji; as well as Miyao being an idealistic and charismatic leader-by-circumstance whose dreams crash into a wall much like Rose's in RGD.
So…
All in all, Ciconia might not entirely be what I expected from a When They Cry game, but it is certainly what I expect from a 07th Expansion game: a thought-provoking experience. Again, I finished my reading shocked and confused. Although it might seem like it shows its cards more explicitly than the openers of Higurashi and Umineko, deception still plays a big part in the story, even if the interaction with the reader is less direct.
Now there might be no murder mystery for the reader to solve, but that won't stop me from speculating! The invisible turning point to me is the “Proof of a Program” chapter, where Blue Miyao tells Miyao that he'll show him someone's face, and that that will activate Miyao's murder program instantly. Miyao first laughs it off, but then the scene brutally cuts to something that might be a flashback, a flash-forward or a nightmare, maybe all of that at once… The most graphically horrifying scene of the entire game, to the point it's almost at odds with the rest. And then… it's never mentioned again. Not even when Miyao meets again with Blue Miyao. Like it never happened. My theory is that everything Miyao experiences from that point onward is some kind of simulation, and that's where the obligatory When They Cry time loop will come from this time. See you in May for the answer?
That is all for today, folks!

Money-Saving tips for beginning Gardeners
Our approach to frugal gardening isn’t just to look for great deals on gardening products. We also try to limit our use of purchased inputs like water and electricity. Today I’ll share 10 strategies that allow us to get excellent results while spending very little money on products and other inputs.
The first strategy to save is to have your soil tested before buying fertilizers and amendments. People often think of a soil test as a way to learn what they need to add to the soil, but more often than not the real value is in learning what not to add. When you know what your soil doesn’t need you can avoid buying unnecessary fertilizers and amendments and save money in the process. In our case even though we haven’t used store-bought fertilizers for many years a soil test showed high or very high levels of most nutrients, and all we do is add compost worm castings and mulch to the garden. With nutrient levels as high as they are we can actually use less compost in order to bring them down. If you live in the United States, low-cost professional soil testing is available at your local Agricultural Extension office. Some states even offer free testing, either way, soil testing can save you a lot of money over the long run by helping you to identify what products you don’t need. You may even find like we did that no additional fertilization is needed.gardening for beginners
The second strategy to reduce your gardening costs is to make your own compost from free local resources. The amount of compost you’ll need will vary depending on your soil test results, but if the results show your soil needs more organic matter and nutrients, a good target is to produce enough compost to cover your garden beds with a half-inch to an inch of compost per year. When soil is deficient in nutrients, compost alone can often correct the deficiencies and the good news is that you can usually find all of the compost inputs you need without spending a penny. The best place to start looking for free compost ingredients is on your home property. You can use kitchen scraps, autumn leaves, grass clippings, and other yard waste. If this isn’t enough material to produce a half-inch to an inch of compost per year you can look for free local resources in your community. Where we live there’s an amazing abundance of free resources for compost and as many of you probably know when I started I was on a mission to find as many as I could. I scavenged for leaves, woodchips, grass clippings, used coffee grounds, brewery grains, and horse manure. You may have different free resources where you live, but if you look hard enough you can usually find more than enough to make all the compost you’ll need.
The third strategy is to mulch garden beds using free local organic resources. Mulching has numerous benefits including saving water, feeding the soil, food web, controlling weeds, and reducing erosion, and all of these benefits can be achieved without spending a penny on products. Some of our favorite free local mulch ingredients are autumn leaves, wood chips, grass clippings, chop and drop garden waste, ground eggshells, and small amounts of used coffee grounds. Free straw isn’t available where we live, but we would definitely use it if it was. Now let’s look at four specific ways that mulch saves you money. First, it covers the soil which reduces evaporation and holds moisture in. As a result, you’re gonna have a lower water bill. Secondly, it slowly releases nutrients into the soil which means you can use less fertilizer. Third, you may have heard about how great worm castings are for your soil, but fortunately, you don’t have to buy them. A better approach is to mulch your garden beds. Mulch feeds worms and gives them an excellent habitat, and protects them from temperature extremes. Mulching will significantly increase your native earthworm population and the number of worm castings in your garden. Fourth, fungi will form and benefit symbiotic relationships with a number of plants. The plants provide the fungi with carbohydrates and B vitamins and the fungi provide the plans with an increased uptake of water and nutrients. However, the best way to promote mycorrhizae in your garden isn’t to buy mycorrhizae products, instead, it’s simply to grow a broad diversity of plants that form mycorrhizal associations and to use course mulch like wood chips and leaves which create an environment in which native mycorrhizal fungi flourish.
The fourth money-saving strategy is to grow nitrogen-fixing cover crops. We haven’t used any nitrogen fertilizer for many years, thanks in part to these crops. Late every summer we plant about five dollars worth of covers crop seeds. The plants grow, fix nitrogen in the soil, and then they’re killed by the winter cold. If your winters aren’t cold enough to kill your cover crops you’ll need to chop and drop them before they go to seed. In addition to fixing nitrogen, cover crops prevent erosion and increase organic matter in the soil.
Our fifth money-saving strategy is to grow in polycultures to reduce pests and disease problems and therefore reduce pesticide costs. We choose not to use any conventional pesticides and we also rarely use organic ones. Yet our plants have very few pests and disease problems. Polycultures help make this possible, it is more difficult for pests to find their preferred plans and wreak havoc. If we planted all of our squash plants in the same location you can imagine how much easier would be for powdery mildew to spread from plant to plant then it would be if the plants were scattered around the garden in a variety of locations. Simply put, monocultures create the perfect environment for pests to find their food source, lay eggs and, reproduce while polycultures make their work of destruction much more difficult.
My sixth money-saving tip is to grow plenty of edible perennials and self-sowing annuals. Perennial crops are ones that you plant once and they come back year after year on their own. Whereas self-sowing annuals only live one season, but they produce and drop enough seed that they effectively sell so another crop for the next season. These plants save us money because they only have to be planted once and they come back year after year with minimal care and no additional cost. Some very popular perennials were growing include asparagus, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and Asian pears.
Our seventh money-saving tip is to save seeds. We keep our seed costs down by saving seeds for a wide variety of crops including tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, squash, pumpkins, kale, collard greens, and mustard greens. These are not only some of our favorite crops but the seeds are very easy to save. We store the seeds in small plastic bags and airtight containers to improve their longevity and store the containers in a cool dark cabinet.
The eighth tip is to grow most crops from seed rather than buying plant starts. You can often buy about a hundred seeds for the price of a plant start. So the savings are significant. The savings are even greater if you use saved seeds. Direct sowing brings even greater savings, although we start tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants in the grow room we start most of our plants directly in the soil. As a result, we don’t have to add more lights and shelves to our grow room. We save on electricity and we don’t have to buy seed starting trays and potting soil for crops that are directly sown in.
The ninth money-saving tip is to reuse, repurpose, and upcycle. Over the years we’ve used fallen trees as garden bed borders, built a compost bin from discarded pallets and another from tree branches, built cold frames from old storm windows and scrap wood, and started plants in repurposed cottage cheese and yogurt containers. The possibilities for repurposing reusing and upcycling are endless.
Our tenth money-saving strategy is to conserve water. We usually get plenty of rain here in the Chicago area but we still take measures to reduce our use of tap water. In the garden as just discussed we mulch our garden beds. Mulching is the easiest way to significantly reduce water use in the garden and it doesn’t cost a thing if you use free local resources. Second, we harvest rainwater from the roof with a rain barrel and use it to water the garden. Third, we reuse water whenever possible. For example, we save the water that we used to rinse our produce and we water our plants with it. We also reuse the water that’s collected by the dehumidifier that we sometimes run in our basement. If we lived in a more drought-prone area we could take even more measures. For example, I would consider installing a greywater system that safely diverts some wastewater from the house into the garden. I’d also build wicking beds instead of traditional raised beds, wicking beds hold a reservoir of water under the soil and the water is wicked up from the bottom resulting in much less water loss to evaporation.

Can you do a Peter Parker x reader fic where they are on Tony's private jet going on a mission or something and Peter finds out she's ticklish, and it's really teasey and fluffy? Maybe she doesn't have powers or anything but she's like maybe Bucky's? daughter? and she is a few months younger than Peter but their relationship is platonic. I'm sorry if you don't like my idea. I've never asked before :)
This is so cute! Thank you much for submitting it, I’m sorry it took so long my life’s been hectic with work and adulthood ;_; I hope you like it!!!
________________________________________
You and Peter were what Tony called, “Avengers in training.” The title sounded cool but really all you two did were train for a few hours a day and stop petty crimes around the neighborhood. Peter happily pursued after bicycle thieves and shoplifters, but you desperately wanted more.
“Please dad, take me on your next mission,” you begged your father Bucky Barnes. He sighed and put his cybernetic prosthetic arm on your shoulder. “Y/N, you need more time training, these missions are not meant for kids.”
You stormed out of the room nearly in tears and closed yourself off in your room. Peter was able to see action and fight with the Avengers a couple times, but it seemed like Tony was afraid of sending you on missions because you were younger and didn’t have any powers to protect yourself. You were extremely skilled in martial arts and hand-to-hand combat, and your father taught you how to use military weapons so you felt like you were trained enough to fight along with your family. Apparently they thought otherwise.
You twirled your pencil between your fingers and lazily looked out the window. The physics teacher was droning on about inertia and gravity or something, and you felt like your brain was going to explode. All you could think about was the empty Stark Tower you were going home to because everyone was on a top secret mission in Serbia.
“No parties,” Tony sternly ordered, “no boys except for Peter and don’t touch my suits.”
“Yes sir,” you rolled your eyes. All you wanted to do was blast music on Tony’s brand new sound system, dance like a lunatic, and sing at the top of your lungs. That was your biggest stress reliever and unfortunately you could only do it when the Avengers were gone.
A faint vibration in your back pocket snapped you out of your thoughts. Making sure the teacher wasn’t paying attention, you sneakily took out your phone and looked at the message on the screen.
MEET @ HOME ASAP. NEED U ON MISSION -TS
You felt your heart skip a beat as you read the text and immediately you grabbed your backpack and ran out the classroom. The students gasped in surprise and you heard your teacher yelling out your name as you dashed down the hallway to the exit.
“Y/N!”
You turned around to see Peter racing behind you, he was clearly in gym class because he was wearing the ugly athletic shorts and shirt.
“What’s going on?” You shoved the school doors open and the both of you sprinted towards the direction of the Stark Tower. You started to appreciate the long runs that your dad made you go on every morning, the school wasn’t too far from the tower but an untrained person would keel over at the speed that you were running.
“No idea,” Peter panted, you appreciated that he was running with you instead of using his webs to get there easier and faster.
Finally you and Peter reached the doors of the Stark Towers and bursted though the doors. Tony was standing in the room with a grave expression on his face.
“Are the Avengers ok Mr. Stark?” Peter panted, he wiped away the sweat on his forehead and was breathing heavily from the exertion.
“For now,” he sighed heavily, “we were ambushed a few hours ago and they are hiding in a safe house. Fury can’t dispatch extra hands until tomorrow and we don’t have that much time, so I flew here to grab you two.” Tony crossed his arms and shifted his eyes between you and Peter.
“This is a very dangerous mission and I understand if you don’t want to go,” he continued, “but I fully believe that you two are ready and the Avengers really needs some assistance.”
“Of course Mr. Stark!” Peter became filled with newfound energy and rubbed his hands together in excitement.
“I’m in,” you grinned, you felt pure happiness bubble up inside you and you had to pinch yourself in case this was all a dream. Tony led you two to a car waiting outside with all of your necessities already packed in heavy duty suitcases. The car peeled out to a private airport and Tony continued to talk about the mission.
The Avengers were dispatched to Serbia to take down one of Hydra’s weaponry factories but as soon as they entered its grounds, they were attacked by highly trained and armed soldiers. They were easily overtaken and barely escaped without major injuries. Thankfully Fury had arranged a safe house for them and they are hiding there until they get backup. After finding out that Fury couldn’t send backup right away, Tony flew back to New York with barely enough fuel left to grab you and Peter.
“I need you two to help us get through those soldiers and once we’re in, you’re stepping back. Is that clear?” You’ve never seen him be so serious and you felt a pang of fear in your gut.
“What do you mean stepping back?” Peter asked, “We can do more than that, what if you guys get attacked again?”
“Then we’ll contact Fury,” Tony glared at him, “this is incredibly dangerous and I already hate sending you kids in this mess. You are not following us into the facility. That is an order.”
The rest of the ride was silent and tense, when you saw the airport emerge from a distance, you sighed with relief.
“So who are we flying with today?” You tried to joke lightheartedly, “Delta? United? American Airlines?”
“Stark Industries,” he smirked, “it’s outdated and small but it’ll get the job done.”
“That’s small?” Peter blurted out. You looked out the window and gasped as you saw the large aircraft waiting on the tarmac. It could probably fit the entire Avengers team plus a few more, knowing Tony, he probably had some fun times in that plane.
The car came to a halt and you stepped out to have the roar of the engines pierce your ears.
“Good luck,” Tony shouted over the noise, “this was what you have trained for.”
“You’re not coming?” Peter shouted a bit too loudly.
“I have to work on some things here, but you two will be fine,” he looked at you and nodded, “keep an eye on Y/N, she doesn’t have powers like you do.”
You raised your eyebrow at the comment and crossed your arms disapprovingly.
“I don’t need powers to take care of myself thank you very much,” you spat out, Tony laughed and gave you a thumbs up.
“Finally the real Y/N came out, keep that energy when you get there.”
You shook your head and followed Peter up the stairs that led into the plane, you turned around and watched the car drive off and suddenly you felt a wave of fear.
“Come on.”
You looked up at Peter who had a reassuring look on his face, he held out his hand and you gently took it, you felt some of your fear dissipating as he squeezed your hand in understanding. You realized he was scared too, and the two of you slowly walked into the plane.
To your surprise instead of the typical crappy airplane seats, there were comfortable arm chairs and couches lined neatly throughout the cabin. You smiled as you saw the fully stocked bar and a large metal pole that was installed from the ceiling to the floor, typical Tony, you thought to yourself.
“Do you think Mr. Stark will realize if we took some of his booze?” Peter joked, he settled himself into the large couch and you plopped down beside him.
“As if we drink,” you laughed and nudged him in the ribs, “we’re the losers in school remember?”
Peter chuckled and rubbed the area where your elbow met his ribs, he teasingly poked you back in the side, “Correction, I’m the loser and you’re the loner.”
You yelped at the sudden jab and blushed, you pleaded in your mind that Peter didn’t notice and as you slowly turned your head, you saw that he had a shit eating grin on his face.
“Don’t tell me…,” he poked you in the side again and a high pitched giggle came out of your mouth, “big, tough Y/N Barnes is ticklish?”
“I’m not,” you snapped, but then Peter reached over and fully grabbed your side, you doubled over in uncontrollable giggles and feebly swatted his hand away.
“Right,” Peter smirked, “I just can’t believe it…you said all this shit when you saw that I was ticklish but to think that you might be worse than me.”
“Shut up,” you blushed deeply.
“Behind all that sass and backtalk is a little ticklish kid,” he joked, this time he wrapped both of his arms around you and scribbled your belly. You bucked and tried to get out of his arms, streams of laughter poured out of your lips.
“It’s really cute actually, I’m sure the Avengers will love this when I tell them,” he alternated between digging his fingers into your belly and squeezing your ribs. You kicked out in frustration and your loud laughter filled the entire cabin.
“S-shut up!” You squealed, you knew that Peter was just saying this to tease you, but you still felt embarrassed by the situation. A quiet cough suddenly caused Peter to cease the tickling and he looked up to see one of the flight attendants awkwardly standing in front of you.
“I’m sorry to interrupt,” she quickly stammered out, “we’re preparing for takeoff so please put on your seatbelts.” With that she practically ran off and you sat back up properly to put on your seatbelt. Your face was still red from laughing and your belly ached a bit, you turned to see that Peter was smirking at you.
“What?” You tried to say coldly, but the smile on your face gave it away.
“Nothing,” he laughed, “I just think it’s adorable that you’re ticklish.” You flushed a deeper red and reached out to punch him in the arm.
“I’m a kid, I have an excuse to be ticklish,” you defended yourself. Peter winced at the punch and rubbed his arm.
“Well you’re kinda cold sometimes and your sarcasm is brutal, which I can see you got that from your dad,” he started to explain, “and you’re sassy and you let nothing get into your way. It’s cute to see that someone with those qualities can let themselves laugh so freely and enjoy something like tickling.”
“I didn’t enjoy it!” You basically screeched in embarrassment.
“Then why didn’t you fight back?” He grinned, “You could’ve easily made me stop but you didn’t.”
You stammered, but for the first time in a while, you had no words to say. The only thing you could think of was to pout like a little kid and pretend like Peter wasn’t even there. You could hear him chuckling and gradually you felt the momentum of the plane taking off. This was your first time flying and you desperately wanted to hold onto Peter when the plane hit some turbulence, but you were too stubborn to break your silent treatment. After what felt like hours, the shaking stopped and the plane smoothly flew through the white clouds. The flight to Serbia would typically be nine hours, but Tony had boasted in the car that his plane was designed to be much faster so you estimated that you had only five hours to prepare for your first battle. You turned to Peter and opened your mouth to create a game plan, only to realize that you were giving him the silent treatment. You quickly closed your mouth and hoped he didn’t notice, but he shook his head and patted you endearingly on the head.
“You do realize you don’t have to act like your father or Tony to be taken seriously,” Peter softly said, “you’re not even fifteen yet and you’re already acting like a soldier. Let yourself be a kid for once Y/N.”
You sighed and shook your head, “With the life we have there’s no time to be a kid.”
“You were a kid just a few minutes ago,” Peter smiled, “that was the first time I’ve heard you actually laugh.”
“It was fun I guess,” you admitted, “as if the Avengers will ever tickle me.”
“Oh I’m sure if they find out they’ll never let it go,” he laughed, “believe me, when they figured it out with me I had to hide for a couple days.”
“God if dad ever found out,” you groaned, “and especially Steve teaming up with him.”
Peter chucked and gently bumped your shoulder with his, “It’s because they love you Y/N. We should probably rest up for a few hours before we land, it’s going to be hell when we get here.”
You nodded and settled into your seat, all you could see were clouds through the windows and you felt pure adrenaline and excitement seep into your body. Peter had already pulled his hoodie over his eyes and was starting to nap, you leaned your head back and closed your eyes, trying to relax enough to fall asleep. The family’s going to be back together again, you happily thought as the quiet hum of the engines gently pulled you into darkness.

I’ve noticed that after a certain period of time, a lot of programmers like to wax poetic in long-form essays (or books). There’s a lot of reasons why this is, not the least of which is that if you have friends or family who aren’t programmers, you have a lot of stuff you just want express, both good and bad, that no one will have any context for, so you write an essay hoping an interested colliege will eventually stop buy, read it, and commiserate or rejoice as the topic merits. But the greatest reason is that, like all craftspeople, programmers are really goddamned opinionated.
I’ve got a one up on them I guess, since I’ve been doing this navelgazing for a few years now, andI’m opinionated too. So, I’m going to start writing my own long-winded essays that I’ll probably look back on in a few years and hang my head in shame about my torrid and terrible opinions. But I’m kind of looking forward to that because it will be a strong chart of progress (or of my foresight).
One of the things I noticed in this last job search was how job listings are written on job boards. Everyone already makes jokes about companies asking for 5 years of experience with technology that isn’t three years old yet, but something I see over and over again is the idea of a “Full Stack” developer. If you haven’t run into that term, maybe you’re lucky and don’t work in the web realm (which reddit has informed me can’t possibly be real programming), but its supposed to mean that you are someone who works on all aspects of the “stack”, or with all of the technologies involved with the function of your application or website, from hardware, up through the levels of software. It’s kind of a lofty goal, and I can see why that kind of employee would be hugely desirable to companies.
But it’s also kind of dumb. Know that I say that from a place of love, as I’m what would be considered a full stack developer myself. I’m maybe not a good full stack developer, but I know more than enough to build, spin up, configure, and maintain a server that I will then go and build websites on, but the real issue that I see is that I don’t really know much beyond accomplishing that, and like the adage says, the more I learn about all of those levels and technologies, the more I know I don’t know. And I only really know one stack LAMP, but you’ve got your WAMP, LAPP, WISA, and MEAN to name some of the more popular.
Functionally, I’m a handy man. Yeah, you can call me when you want a new faucet on a sink, or your pipe springs a leak, but you’d never have me install plumbing in a new house. You might ask me to replace a breaker or light fixture, but I’m not licensed to run new electrical lines. It’s the same thing with development. Yeah, I can configure a server and bring it up to PCI standards, but I can’t write device drivers to save my life, I just don’t have the understanding of the machine or the code (though I should probably say yet, as a few years ago I would never imagine even configuring the server).
But I don’t really see the problem with that. See, I was talking to a co-worker the other day because he was having a little bit of tool envy. Since I do work in the web space, FTP/SFTP is something that I do almost constantly. My client of choice is WinSCP, built on PuTTy. It’s not as esoteric as FileZilla, and it has a lot of quality of life features that I take completely for granted anymore. The part my co-worker was fixated on was that WinSCP will automatically sync file changes to the server for you. The way it works is that when you open a file from the server, the file is downloaded to a TEMP folder on your machine and then opened in your editor of choice. You click the save button on the editor, WinSCP notices a filestamp change and triggers an upload of the updated file for you. I honestly don’t even think about it anymore, but he was marveling at how fast I was implementing changes. He’d never even heard of the program before, but here I was taking it for granted.
The reason I know about it and he doesn’t comes down to specialization and experience. With enough willpower and practice anyone can learn just about anything, but certain knowledge fits more naturally with certain thought patterns, and following that knowledge puts you in touch with certain ideas and tools. I favor backend development for websites because I find the way a computer manages memory and parses code to be a more understandable process than understanding how a user experiences a website, or why someone clicks on one Google link over another. I know enough to facilitate making other people’s jobs in those areas easier, but it isn’t where my skill-set has grown the most over the last few years. Specialization is a natural progression of people’s skills, and ultimately the kinds of knowledge specialization can bring to the table is usually well worth it for the companies that hire those types of workers. If they can channel that experience effectively into design and management, they can bring far more knowledge to bare than any individual could ever hope.
Now, I’m not arguing that the idea of an internet handyman like myself shouldn’t exist. It makes a lot of fiscal sense for a company to employ one employee who can do all the day to day tasks of a technology full time, and only hire specialists as needed, but I just think the phrase “Full Stack” is dumb. It implies a completeness that is completely unobtainable, or at least far more rare than the 20 to 30 places looking for one in your area. What they really want is someone who provides their own wrench.

How to Record Audio From a Computer for Super Awesome Results!
Tumblr media
Pick what the great thing about creating online videos or marketing videos in today's day and age is? You can do it all without ever having to make a physical appearance in the film.
Camera shy? No problem! You can create fantastic and pleasurable marketing videos simply through the use of animations and screen capture applications. There is, however, another side to this coin. It's pretty freakin' hard if not outright impossible to create a good quality video without any tone.
Any form of communication plays to our senses. In real life, we tend to contend with sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste on a daily basis. Web-based, we can only appeal to two of those. Sight and sound. With a reduction of sound, sending a message might still be possible but it literally will get twice as difficult. Why take that route? There's no good reason how come capturing great-sounding audio can't be easy!
You're about to master some simple techniques to record audio from a computer and capture prime quality voice-overs that will make your video sound as great as it feels. Here's what you're about to discover.
How to record audio from a computer for one low cost (or no cost). How to remove unwanted noise at a voice-over. How to use a compressor to ensure equal sound volume in your recording.
How to record high-quality audio for a low cost (or certainly no cost)
As you have probably guessed, you are going to need a microphone to log your voice-over. That much is straightforward. What isn't so self-explanatory is the difference in sound quality that different microphones can hold.
Take for example , two voice-over YouTube videos that I recorded. You was recorded using a computer microphone and the other was mixed with a smartphone. The differences between the two were extraordinary! The one that was basically recorded with a computer mic was very hollow and had basically no bass to it while the one recorded with the smartphone had highly solid quality full and sounded quite natural. After a colleague listened to the latter example, he was quite astonished at the high quality and couldn't believe I hadn't used more professional good recording equipment.
Now I can't say that this is necessarily the case for smartphones but I have tried comparing the audio capture superiority of my own device against all of the other equipment with filming capabilities I have and somehow, the smartphone just comes out the top every time. It's even better than my HD video recorder. Try out the whole set of microphones you own, and if you don't have one then you can easily purchase a desktop computer microphone from Staples or any other office/electronic supply outlet for nearly $30. But in my experience, a smartphone can help you record audio with a computer better than any other device. Not too shabby considering that I most likely already own one. Know more about this audio blog
How to remove unwanted noise from your voice-over.
Free audio editing programs such as Audacity come with already very good tools installed that can help you remove unwanted background noise inside of audio recording. There are however, certain things you can do before and during the process of recording your company's voice-over that will make your job much easier.
Record your voice-over inside of a room without any existing background noise.
Leave 10 seconds for empty space at the beginning of your recording so you can take a sample about any background noise without your voice in the way.
Stay the same distance away from your microphone during the process of recording audio inside computer.
Avoid taking deep breaths. You can always remove these through editing, but the less you have to remove the easier your job will be. For Audacity, highlight the 'empty space' during the first 10 a few seconds of your voice-over. Now from the top bar select 'Effect --> Noise Removal' and click the button that says 'Get Noise Profile. ' Audacity has now obtained a sample of the music from your recording. Now highlight your entire clip (CTRL + A) and again go to 'Effect --> Noise Removal. ' Now press 'OK' and voila! - The background noise seems to have disappeared from your audio recording!
How to use a compressor to ensure equal reasonable volume throughout your recording.
Any voice recording is going to have its increased volume points and its low volume points. It's the compressor's profession to equalize these points while at the same time, keeping your sound frequent.

While there is the potential to earn some income from the home, assuming it can be rented for more than the mortgage payment and property taxes, both spouses will share the many responsibilities of being a landlord. Bryan Smith believes that every parent entitled to receive support should receive it, and that providers of child support should not have to pay more than the law requires.
Tumblr media
One option that more recently married couples may want to consider is a separation agreement. Being unpracticed in personal injury law, you may not understand what proof is noteworthy and what isn't. When the father is not listed on the birth certificate, the mother may need to take legal action in order to ensure that the parent provides child support. In some cases, the parent cannot be found. Some couples choose to rent out the home for a period of time. In addition, the time lapse of each way point is recorded to identify if the vehicle was parked at any particular position for a time period greater than three seconds. Both parents will be required to attend a hearing at which time the judge will make a decision based on the facts presented by both parties. Signing a quitclaim deed in divorce gives the other spouse full rights to the property, but both parties are still responsible for the mortgage if it’s in both names. If that is the case, a divorce lawyer will take steps to locate the individual so that legal steps can be taken with a good Wilmington family lawyer.

Answer: Yes, there are methods utilizing technology previously available only to the CIA, or James Bond. Utilizing common mapping software, the data is downloaded to a PC, and a map is created. However, even unmarried parents both have rights and responsibilities. Making changes simply to satisfy the needs of the parents is not an acceptable reason for requesting a modification. A hearing is needed to make the changes legal. If one spouse wants to stay in the home, he or she can choose to “buy out” the other spouse’s interest in the real estate. From the Author: My name is Dan Barcelon and I believe that Real Estate can be one of the most valuable assets you’ll ever own. Some assets can be easy to divide, but a home with or without a mortgage can be trickier.
Tumblr media
Many of these types of problems can be extremely traumatic and emotional. A family lawyer handles all types of matters including divorce and settlement issues. It’s estimated that between 40 and 50 percent of marriages end in divorce. Every three seconds, the GPS unit will "bounce" signals from the vehicle, to the street, to a satellite, and back, recording the latitude, and longitude of the vehicle. If the vehicle is co-owned, you can install a portable GPS (Global Positioning System) to the undercarriage of the vehicle. At the Law Office of L. Bryan Smith, you can rest assured that your case is in good hands. You can search the site by name. When a legal matter affects your family and your future, it can be emotional and overwhelming. Until you have a solution you can believe in, your future is uncertain. Please verify that you have read the disclaimer. To remove the other spouse from the mortgage, it will be necessary to refinance the loan.

But no longer you need to do it, Now you simply open a real browser inside the vs code editor to debug and check the changes that you have made.
9. Live Share
When I started my journey in web development, Sometimes I find some bugs hard to solve the search online, and if the online solution does not work I go ask my friend to help me.
And we go to google meet and try to solve that.

Python 3 and PyGame in 2018
Table of Contents
1. Why PyGame?
2. Why Not?
3. Explicit Is Better Than Implicit
4. Three Pain Points
5. Other Cool Libraries
6. More To Come
1 Why PyGame?
PyGame is a nice library for getting started with game development. It is a good way to learn programming in a "real programming language" while making games1. There is very "magic" going on in PyGame, and you can go from print("Hello World") to drawing a triangle on the screen and then to Pong or Tetris with a smooth learning curve.
PyGame is also an easy way to get your feet wet in game development if you know and use Python already, for example in machine learning or web development. That's how I came to learn PyGame.
2 Why Not?
PyGame is just a low-level library for creating windows, drawing on the screen, reading joystick input, and playing sounds. OpenFL, Löve2D, FNA and LibGDX fill similar niches in the Haxe, Lua, .Net and Java ecosystems, respectively. If you want a full-featured engine, use Unity3D, UE4, or Godot. If you don't want to learn to code, you will probably fare better with GameMaker or Stencyl2. If you want to tell an interactive story with little actual gameplay, maybe Twine or Ren'Py are more your thing.
3 Explicit Is Better Than Implicit
Maybe PyGame is not for everybody… However, if you do just want to make small 2D games, and don't want to rely on automagic functionality, PyGame could for you. That means you have to code your own game loop3, poll the keyboard or game pad, and update the screen yourself.
Your game loop will look something like this:
import pygame pygame.init() # ... # setup stuff here screen=pygame.display.set_mode(screen_size) clock=pygame.clock.Clock() running=True while running: clock.tick(30) events = pygame.event.get() keys = pygame.key.get_pressed() for e in events: if e.type==pygame.QUIT: running=False elif e.type==pygame.KEYDOWN and #... # handle jumping etcetera # ... # move sprites around, collision detection, etc # ... # draw pygame.display.update() pygame.quit()
The ease of just drawing pixels on the screen and the lack of hidden features sometimes makes it harder to get started making certain games genres. If you start from scratch in Unity3D, you already have a level and a camera and you can just create a sphere GameObject and check a box to enable the physics engine. If you draw a circle on the screen in PyGame, it's just pixels on the screen. These pixels don't know anything about cameras, raycasting, or physics, so if you want to move the view around, make your circle clickable, or have it bounce off walls, you have to connect the systems yourself. PyGame gives you tools to check for collisions, a Sprite class that is the closest equivalent to GameObject, and a way to find out where on the window the mouse was clicked.
If you want to use a pre-made physics engine like Box2D, or roll your own, you have to write some glue code, but PyGame will stay out of your way.
This can even be a tremendous advantage when you want to make a game like Tetris4, or like SimCity, where you don't want to use 3D collision detection and a physics engine anyway, and collision detection happens on a grid. A game like Braid, where you can rewind the entire game state, will also be much easier if you have full control over your game loop. You can do all these things in a big and opinionated engine, as Hearthstone (a card game made in Unity3D) has showed us, but if don't need these features, you sometimes have to code around them. If you code around features you don't need, or re-build your own systems on top of a commercial engine, you might end up writing more code than if you had just started from scratch5.
All of this goes double for tools like PuzzleScript, RPG Maker, GameMaker, Bitsy or Twine. These are all geared towards certain kinds of games, and while they make it really easy to make that kind of game, they make you jump through hoops if you want to build anything else.
4 Three Pain Points
Although I just told you that PyGame is a great library, it is not as popular among game developers as it should be. This is mostly due to three problems dating back to the Python 3 days: multi-threading, deployment, and HD screen resolutions.
Multi-threading: Due to the GIL, an unfortunate implementation detail in CPython6, you can't have two threads execute Python code at the same time. That means your multi-threaded Python programs will still run in parallel, but there will only ever be one thread running at any time. On a single-core machine, there is not that much to worry about, because you only have one core that can run code anyway, but on a multi-core machine, you can't really take advantage of the additional cores. Still, what you could do is have one thread handle input and draw to the screen, while another, long-running thread does complicated enemy AI calculations that take longer than one frame to complete. That won't make your code run any faster in aggregate, but it will can at least ensure that the tick-input-update-draw cycle of the game loop runs at a smooth frame rate while the AI takes a lot of time.
If you're using i/o operations from the Python standard library, long-running numpy code or clock.tick(FPS) in PyGame, these libraries do the right thing and tell the Python interpreter that they are entering a section of native code during which Python code can safely run in another thread. But in general, you could have a Python function that calls native code that doesn't return for a while, so the Python interpreter is executing the same line of Python and other threads can't run. If that bit of native code is waiting for input, your whole program will freeze until the input arrives, even if you have ten other threads waiting that could do useful things in the mean time.
There are two modules to help you with concurrency in Python 3: multiprocessing and asyncio. The first has been around since Python 2.6, and lets you execute Python code in another process. This is useful if you have long-running computations like enemy AI that you want to run on another core. The other, asyncio is new in Python 3.37. With asyncio, you can run multiple coroutines in the same thread. A scheduling object called an event loop will execute coroutines piecemeal whenever there is input available. Because asynchronous coroutines are basically Python functions with some extra syntactic sugar, you can have tens of thousands of them running at the same time, unlike processes or kernel threads, which need a comparatively large amount of RAM to create and some time to context-switch. The use case for asyncio is pretty much the opposite of the use case of multiprocessing: Lots of threads8 waiting for i/o instead of long-lived processes that crunch numbers.
Deployment: There used to be no simple and easy way to package Python 2 games for end users. Sure, you could ask them to install python, either from Python.org or from the package manager of their choice, and give them the source code. Or you could use py2exe or py2app and create portable versions of a python script, but you couldn't build Windows, Mac and Linux executables from the same configuration file, and only on the respective platform. There were multiple competing standards for packaging python modules as source distributions: distutils, setuptools, distribute, and distutils2.
In the mean time, a smart person invented cxfreeze, which would automatically package every single dependency, every resource file and library used by your program, into one big archive. Unfortunately, that approach tended to pull in a bunch of DLLs that are already present on most end users machines. You also need to have the script already running on the target platform to analyse the dependencies at runtime.
With Python 3, setuptools has won, and the others have been merged into it9. There is a new file format for packaging Python modules called wheels10, that lets users install modules with native code without a C compiler. PyInstaller11 lets you build self-contained, portable versions of scripts on Windows, Mac or Linux based on the specification, and pynsist12 lets you create a windows installer for a Python script from any platform, because it downloads windows-compatible wheels and includes them without setting up a cross-compiling environment. The Panda3D project is even working on a cross-platform binary packaging system for Python 3 games based on setuptools!
HD screens: The software-based rendering in PyGame gets slower proportionally to the number of pixels. If you draw a 16x16 character sprite onto the screen, that makes 256 pixels. If you blit a background picture into a 640x480 (VGA) window, that's 307200 pixels already. If you scale that window up to 1280x960, that's four times as many pixels, and 1080p full-HD resolution has 6.75 times as many pixels as VGA. Things that were quite fast at low resolutions become a real bottleneck on HD screens, and you really feel the burn when you run PyGame on devices with a slower CPU and a HD screen, like a phone or a Raspberry PI.
Even if you run your game logic at a low resolution, and just scale up the screen to HD with pygame.transform.scale in the final step, that still means moving lots of pixels around in software. Scaling your game up to full-screen on a HD display can easily take the majority of your processing time. And remember, we effectively have only one core!
If you could copy your 320x240 surface into a texture and scale up your pixel art with the GPU, you eliminate a major bottleneck. The GPU is surprisingly fast and energy-efficient in phones, tablets and on the raspberryPI.
Fortunately, instead of directly drawing pixels into your window, PyGame can give you an OpenGL context and let you use whatever OpenGL bindings you like. In the past, that would have been with PyOpenGL, or pyglet. With Python 3, we can use ModernGL. ModernGL is much simpler than the other two. It targets only modern versions of OpenGL. Unlike PyOpenGL and pyglet, there is no support for immediate mode or the old fixed-function pipeline. You have to use vertex buffer objects and custom shaders. It's fast, and it lets you do fancy post-processing effects in addition to scaling.
If you need more performance, or fancier effects, you can incrementally transition from drawing into PyGame Surfaces towards creating individual textures for your Sprites and rendering directly with OpenGL.
5 Other Cool Libraries
The missing level editor: Tiled13 is a great level editor. You can use PyTMX14 to read the maps files, and pyscroll15 to render them.
Discord Rich Presence: All the cool kids are on Discord16. With pypresence17, you can let your player's friends know what the game is called, which level they are on, and how many points they have scored. It definitely beats having "now playing Python3.exe" as your Discord status line.
Creating Videos: moviePy18 gives you a simple API to create, load and edit GIFs, WEBM and other video file formats.
6 More To Come
The problems I used to have in PyGame haven't disappeared, but in 2018 and with Python 3.6, they have become solvable. It is possible to started making games with PyGame, and to polish and deploy them on Steam and itch.io. There used to be a tool to deploy PyGame to Android phones and tablets, but that was based on Python 2.7 and some hacks to get everything to run. With the current effort to port PyGame to SDL2, we can soon deploy games written in PyGame to Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and all major consoles, which support SDL219
This post is longer than I thought already, so I'll take a break here. In the coming days I will write more about using the asyncio module to do i/o in PyGame without tanking your frame rate, using the moderngl module to scale up your pixel art, and trying out deploy-NG, a setuptools extension from Panda3D to distribute games to end users.
Footnotes:
1
I recommend Al Sweigart's tutorials at http://inventwithpython.com/, and http://inventwithpython.com/pygame/
2
Maybe you want to start designing games first instead of learning to program, so you start out with these tools, but I would recommend you learn at least a little bit of a real programming language as well, to get some perspective. If you learn C#, which is a real programming language, together with Unity or Godot, please look up which features are part of C# and which are unique to your engine.
3
To avoid common pitfalls with game loops, read these: http://www.koonsolo.com/news/dewitters-gameloop/ and https://gafferongames.com/post/fix_your_timestep/
4
I am speaking from experience here. We made a Tetris-like game in Unity, and it was not worth the trouble. You can see the result here, but it's nothing special: https://blubberquark.itch.io/tetrominions
5
Please don't write an engine from scratch! People like Jon Blow, Tommy Refenes, John Carmack, David Pittman or Notch wrote their own 3D engines for various reasons. That said, if you actually need a big 3D game engine for your game, please don't write your own on top of PyGame. You are not John Carmack (unless you are, in which case you should stop reading this because you know more about programming than I do). Use Panda3D or Godot if you want something that is open source and Python-based (Godot Python support is still in beta, but getting there). Or use one of the commercial engines listed above.
6
I'm simplifying massively here. Look up the Global Intepreter Lock if you want to know more. The GIL also allows PyGame to call SDL functions without worrying too much about whether SDL is thread-safe. It's not all bad.
7
Only with Python 3.5 it has become really usable, though, and they are still working out the kinks in the API.
8
I mean that as in lightweight threads, Erlang threads, green threads.
9
You can still find distutils in Python 3 for backward compatibility reasons.

SDL2 already runs on the Nintendo Switch, for example. Unfortunately, the licensing terms of the Switch developer kit prohibit you from publicly sharing code that targets the Switch API in public. You have to contact Ryan Gordon and ask him for access, after signing the NDA. I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice, but as far as I understand it, although the licensing terms of PyGame and SDL allow you to share the code, Nintendo could still sue you for breach of contract. That problem is not unique to PyGame though. A similar workaround exists in the Haxe world, where you have to contact Lars Doucet to get access to a version of OpenFL for Switch. There is also a homebrew version of Python available at https://github.com/nx-python/PyNX, but the NDA might prohibit you from using homebrew and reverse engineering.

THE WORD TO DETECT BIAS
In 1938 Buckminster Fuller coined the term ephemeralization to describe the increasing tendency of physical machinery to be replaced by apps running on tablets. Not even Error. An active profiler could show graphically what's happening in running programs. What does make a language that might go away, as so many programming languages do. But I'm convinced they got this right by accident.1 Users are interested in. Between these two sources of variation, the college someone went to Stanford and is not obviously insane, they're probably a safe bet. If you're changing ideas, one unusual thing about you is the idea you'd previously been working on. It's a constant battle for us. When one company or industry replaces another, it usually comes in from the side. You can still raise money, you don't have any is that they don't enjoy it.
It's since grown to around 22,000. You have to wait for the writer's influential friends to die, and then write a paper about it, any more than it matters to the winner of a marathon how many runners are behind him. Hence what, for lack of a better name, I'll call the Python paradox: if a good idea because it started with a small core, and powerful, highly orthogonal libraries that are as carefully designed and, if possible, as articulated as programming languages. But hacking can certainly be more than a page. The iPhone isn't so much a phone as a replacement for x; look for something that people will pay you for. No matter what you work on, you're not working on everything else. I found spam intolerable, and I know it's usually my fault: I let errands eat up the day, to avoid facing some hard problem, probably getting nowhere. When someone's working on a given technology, the time to act is always now. So we had our servers in our offices.
What I'm saying is that open-source projects. It will always suck to work for Intel. Which means that what matters is who you are, not when you do something new. I think the odds are better than 50-50 that the Windows killer—or at least Common Lisp, some delimiters are reserved for the language, and moreover one that's focused on experimenting with language design, not performance. Three of the most ad hoc parts of any system. For example, after Steve Wozniak built the computer that became the Apple I, he felt obliged to give his then-employer Hewlett-Packard, wouldn't let him, but often because the company's code wouldn't let him, but often because the company's code wouldn't let him do it at work. Even if you were extracting every penny? We had a page in our site trying to be as big as possible wants to attract everyone. Real ugliness is not harsh-looking syntax, but having to build programs out of the wrong concepts. But you should be spending your time on in college is ratcheting yourself into the future. So the language probably must already be installed on the computer you're using. There were ashtrays everywhere.2
For hundreds of years it has been part of the compensation is in the direction of over-engineering. One is that in the group above you in the hierarchy, your entire group. Remember, the original motivation for HN was to test a new programming language. They're tools, designed for people, and how much is because big companies made them that way, even if this causes some breakage. The economic situation is apparently so grim that some experts fear we may be in for a stretch as bad as the mid seventies. 0 terms, Don't maltreat users is a subset of a more general technique: making things easier. Remember, the original motivation for HN was to test a new programming language. A startup just starting out can't expect to excavate that much volume. As well as working hard, the groups all turned out to be will depend on what we can do with this new medium. If you could get the right people to move there.
Having to retrofit internationalization or scalability is a pain, certainly. It's a lot of ideology that prevents people from viewing it with as cold an eye as they would something like consulting during the Bubble. It's obvious why you want exposure to new technology, but why do you need other people? One valuable way for an idea to be wrong is to be the best ones. A hacker's language needs powerful libraries and something to hack.3 It was a new one, and if you enforce them it seems possible to keep a company as small as it can be a net win to blow off everything you were supposed to pretend that the OS doesn't exist. Reddit's like an RSS feed for the whole web, with a command-line interface, is more available than one that you have to do whatever it is eventually. In both painting and hacking there are some tasks that are terrifyingly ambitious, and others that are comfortingly routine. They just don't want to give the impression they're on top of it.
In 1938 Buckminster Fuller coined the term ephemeralization to describe the increasing tendency of physical machinery to be replaced by what we would now call software. Don't the French realize these aren't startups? For companies that offer server-based applications. Probably it's simply that stupidity more often takes the form of having few ideas than wrong ones. I had no idea what that meant until I did it. Another advantage of ramen profitability is the least obvious but may be the most fun way to come up with startup ideas is to become the sort of person, you have more ideas about what to do. By way of summary, let's try describing the hacker's dream language.
During the Bubble a lot of companies are very much influenced by where applicants went to college. Those ideas are so rare that you can start a startup, of course, but the startup community around it has to compete with Apple: be a better platform for it. College was a bottleneck through which all your future prospects passed; everything would be better for programming. That usage has become increasingly common during my lifetime. And we in the present are not a new phenomenon: the trend began as soon as computers got cheap enough for college kids to afford them. Another advantage of ramen profitability. Nerds don't care about glamour, so to them the appeal of New York is a mystery.
Notes
Interestingly, the more powerful, because what they're going to get users to switch to OSX. Design Patterns were invisible or simpler in Lisp, they mean that's how both publishers and audiences treat it.
In effect they were that smart they'd already be programming in Lisp, Wiley, 1985, p.
For example, if you threatened a company grew at 1. They would have undesirable side effects.
