I’m watching “For Love”, a documentary about First Nations people and exploring how more than half of all kids in foster care in Canada are Indigenous, and delving into the history of First Nations people getting their children taken.

It just made me think of one other documentary (whose name escapes me) about how this young boy wanted to go back home from residential school, because he missed his grandfather. The priest tricked him and made him pack up and get ready for a visit and then locked him in a shed for a week.

The thing that absolutely broke me was how this 70 something year old man said “I don’t understand why they did that to me, just because I was lonesome.”

So many of our children have been taken and never returned and I don’t think enough people know about this.

Imagine you're going out with a cute single dad you met. He invites you to a romantic boat date and when you catch him staring again like he knows you or smth he hits you with the smoothest "maybe I just like looking at you" line...

Who TF Did I Marry? is literally the first and probably only TikTok story I’ve ever been invested in to the point that I’ve rewatched it several times now 😭 it’s both very hilarious and extremely sad based on how relatable this situation is to those that have been unlucky in love. ReesaTeesa went through a lot within a years time and is now having the ghosts of her past comeback to her in this ongoing saga. It’s like the Zola of 2024 (never watched that movie but I’ve heard a lot about it).

Diana would have been so proud. The strength to stand up for your better half should be admired. Don't be a follower and try to come out of the fog of fed made up stories and baseless gossips. Like everyone else, they are entitled to tell their story. Two people just loving each other and having a beautiful family together. Standing side by side for one another. We are not that ignorant to see how the tabloids work. How jealousy works. How hatred is spread through gossip for amusement. Do independent research. Have a brain of your own. The #harry&meghan documentary is enlightening and beautiful. See for yourself. Be better. Do better.

Gushing About a Documentary

So I was perusing the vast library of media that is Netflix and I stumbled upon something that made me gasp out loud. And that my friends is

Unknown: Cave of Bones.

NETFLIX YOU RELEASE A GOOD PALEOANTHROPOLOGY DOC WITHOUT TELLING ME? T R E A S O N !

I was ENTHRALLED in it, and it is FASCINATING and contains really exciting news regarding human ancestors.

Brief synopsis; A team of researchers discover a new species of hominid named Homo naledi, and they find out that the species practised burial practises around 100,000 - 200,000 years before Homo sapiens. AND they find a stone tool in the hand of a juvenile of the species (extremely rare to find juvenile hominids, and I believe this was the first one to be found with a stone tool.)
