I’m watching “For Love”, a documentary about First Nations people and exploring how more than half of all kids in foster care in Canada are Indigenous, and delving into the history of First Nations people getting their children taken.

It just made me think of one other documentary (whose name escapes me) about how this young boy wanted to go back home from residential school, because he missed his grandfather. The priest tricked him and made him pack up and get ready for a visit and then locked him in a shed for a week.

The thing that absolutely broke me was how this 70 something year old man said “I don’t understand why they did that to me, just because I was lonesome.”

So many of our children have been taken and never returned and I don’t think enough people know about this.

Who TF Did I Marry? is literally the first and probably only TikTok story I’ve ever been invested in to the point that I’ve rewatched it several times now 😭 it’s both very hilarious and extremely sad based on how relatable this situation is to those that have been unlucky in love. ReesaTeesa went through a lot within a years time and is now having the ghosts of her past comeback to her in this ongoing saga. It’s like the Zola of 2024 (never watched that movie but I’ve heard a lot about it).
