I'm honestly so glad they introduced a new protagonist. Not just because Rook is a darling, but also because Inquisitor would have been a horrible choice for the story they wrote.

#🌞#🎮#ramblings #The Inquisitor is a character that is faceless and lacking in personality by definition. I ranted on and on that they foil Solas as #his Fen'Harel persona NOT the Solas core.#They lack personal identity behind the title; Rook has no political standing for the most part and their 'title' is personal.#They got the name either because they think in straight lines or because they cheat in games. Whichever one is canon.#That's a personality trait. Rook is defined through their origin & qualities that have nothing to do with political profess.#If I may— Rook's main canon trait goes directly against political qualities? They're exiled for that?#And like I know that most people headcanoned 90% of their Inquisitors because what else can you do but it's like. Not in the game.#So y e a h having a new protagonist that actually foils Solas as Solas was a good decision.#I get that some people are really attached to their Inquisitors and sure they could have polished that dialogue a little more.#Introducing Inquisitor as a protagonist past-Trespasser is deconstructing them as a character. Or just making Trespasser 2.0 #Sorry for the rant every time I see a 'Inquisitor would be a better protagonist' comment I wonder if we played the same DAI.#'cause no they're a politician with frankly 0 standing in the North. I see a lot of people upset about William Kaplan being dead and no one mourning him cus Billy stole his body and I just don't see it that way. The kid in Wanda Vision is Billy Maximoff, The teenager at the Bar Mitzvah is William Kaplan, the Teen that got taken to the hospital after the wreck is neither and both Billy Maximoff and William Kaplan. That Teen went home with the abilities of Billy Maximoff, to the home of William Kaplan, with memories of neither and lived there for three years. He cares about Rebecca and Jeff, he lied to the to protect them from pain, they are his parents. He wants to find Tommy, he has magical powers, he wants to know who he is. All of these things are true. I wouldn't say William Kaplan is dead he just doesn't remember, like Agatha wasn't dead when he was Agnes, she just didn't remember.

Teen is looking in the mirror at a body and face that is #completely alien to him because it is! he has amnesia. he's looking in a mirror with no idea who is looking at him not because hes Billy but #because its no one at that moment hes nothing. he has no idea who he is at all. all he know is thats his body his name is William and his #parents and worried and he know that cus he can read minds. thats it nothing else

maybe the real Viktor arcane season 2 character arc were the friends we made along the way

#dogblr #rory borealis #bird dog training #the goal here is just to wait until i tap her to go get the thing #she stands better on the ground than on the board #so in subsequent runs i just moved the cato board #but nbd #shes doing soooo good #im gonna stay at this stage for a bit #no need to move forward from here for a while #i overheard some people saying that doing steadiness foundations too young can ruin your bird dog but i think thats nonsense??#if it is true well whatever ill know for the next dog #but shes not lacking enthusiasm so hopefully im fine #some notes if youre doing this at home: dog should be standing of their own free will not you holding them back #dog should be looking in the correct direction before you send them dont ask for eye contact #and only work on one skill at a time (dont ask for a steady to throw and a retrieve to heel if your dog doesnt know both of those separate)#and if you have multiple dogs consider using their name to release instead of 'go!' like im using here #just to make it easier to work multiple dogs at once if thats something you want to do

Natlan is literally the worst thing Hoyoverse has ever created, and for so many reasons, but they somehow made it worse by k!lling off the only good character from it

#idgaf if Mavuika died her design and lack of personality was ass #Capitano was the only character/thing from Natlan that actually had good lore good design and a good personality #anyways I need to rant abt why Natlan sucked ass now #there’s obviously the r@cism I don’t even think I need to explain that #“But culture is more than skin tone!” so there’s this thing called cultural appropriation right #I don’t understand how people can defend Hoyos racism after this #What they did with Natlan is like going “I like your food and the way you dance and sing and your clothes and hair. But I don’t like you”#and ofc there’s the shitty writing #the lore was actually the most boring thing ever and it was so corny at some points #+ a lot of the characters (ESPECIALLY chasca) had no personality #And the way it looks. Both the characters and environments #even the few characters who don’t have garbage designs (Kinich Mualani that cat lady idk her name) had the most bland designs ever #I feel like I’ve seen them so many times before like they were so unoriginal #especially Kinichs’#why is he themed off pixel-y video games?? it doesn’t make sense so those even exist in Teyvat??#and the environment is horrible too #Natlan is a nation of war and have been at war for 500+ years at that point #But you can’t tell that by the world exp #It would’ve been better if maybe the sky was a bit darker or if there were corpses littering the ground #Or if there were a bunch of abyss camps set up and abandoned towns/villages #or if the few habited areas has a bunch of defenses put up to protect themselves from the abyss #I’m being dead serious when I say Natlan is so bad I’m actually considering uninstalling the whole game
