US PMI cushions market freefall, Gold rebounds above $2,400

"Tokyo Chainsaw Massacre" is how Jeffrey Halley, a guest on the latest episode of "Executive Talks" by AC Capital Markets, described the recent global stock market plunge. This name seems particularly apt when considering the Nikkei 225 index, which recorded its largest single-day point drop in history, plummeting 12.4% intraday on Monday and wiping out 113 trillion yen ($792 billion) in one trading day.

The trigger for this plunge was the unexpectedly dismal U.S. non-farm payroll data released on Friday, which jolted the market out of its hopeful "soft landing" dreams and brought into stark focus the possibility of a "hard landing" for the economy. The unemployment rate surged to 4.3%, new job creation fell off a cliff, and average hourly wages declined, all painting a picture of U.S. economic recession.

Considering that the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq have already set dozens of new highs this year, this crash was not entirely unexpected. I had already issued warnings in my series of online seminars, such as "AC Finance Live" and "AC Non-Farm Payroll Night Live," starting in May -- August, being the only month without a Federal Reserve decision, was likely to be a time for significant market corrections.

In the market, the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) continued to decline, testing the 101.863 support level after breaking below the 102 mark. It has slightly rebounded, but the technical pressure remains evident.

Over to stock indices, the Nasdaq 100 Index (NAS100) found a double bottom near 17300 and rebounded to above the 18000-point mark. There are signs of dip buying by bulls in the market, but traders should remain highly vigilant.

As for gold, XAUUSD also rebounded after dipping to $2364 per ounce, with the rebound being much stronger than other assets, currently back above the $2400 mark.

Entering this week, traders should pay close attention to the potential return of downside risks. The slight rebound in the aforementioned assets was based on the favorable U.S. PMI data released early in the morning, hence the brief halt in the decline.

Current Interest Rate Expectations:

The U.S. Federal Reserve is expected to maintain its benchmark overnight interest rate within the 5.25%-5.50% range, unchanged since last July. As the July policy meeting begins today, recent mild inflation reports have led investors to anticipate a possible rate cut in September. Fed officials have stressed the need for more evidence of inflation returning to the 2% target before reducing rates. However, Fed Chair Jerome Powell hinted that a rate cut could be considered even if inflation has not fully met this go.

Bank of Japan’s Upcoming Decision

The BOJ concludes a two-day meeting on Wednesday, with analysts split on a potential interest rate hike amidst yen volatility. The BOJ is expected to signal an end to its quantitative easing programs. In June, the BOJ maintained its short-term rate at 0.1%, after raising it in March for the first time in 17 years. The yen has recently strengthened against the dollar due to suspected intervention and expectations of U.S. rate cuts.

Gerbs found a Michelin-star restaurant in Ueno. We've gotta try it, right? After a quiet morning at the national science museum, We arrived at the restaurant around 10:45. Waited in line until the restaurant opend at 11:30 (we were the last two to be let in for the first round). Waited some more inside the restaurant. And finally, the long-waited pork cutlet came out around 12:00.

It was a very ordinary pork cutlet. 2100 yen for loin and 2400 yen for tender loin. The tender loin was tender, and tasted like pork. Unfortunately, the bottom crumb was soggy. The cabbage was good; the rice was not.

If I had been craving for Japanese food and if I had this meal in New York, I might have been able to justify the monetary and time cost to myself. But we are in Tokyo and we can get a decent pork cutlett for one third of the price.

Lesson learned: Do not let Michelin stars sway your decisions. Eat at restaurants only if you would even withouht the stars.

”Atsu-Giri TON-KATSU Teisyoku (Thick-cut large loin breaded pork chop set meal) at A-Get-Monya in Koenji for 1,600 yen. I can't seem to get to Koenji anymore. For a few weeks, I've been wanting to try ”Atsu-Giri TON-KATSU" at A-Get-Monya. It was a pleasure to finally be here. There is no sauce, salt, or soy sauce for ”Atsu-Giri TON-KATSU". It's delicious without anything on it. But only if it's a good "loin breaded pork chop". However, this way of eating is not salty enough to make my white rice go down. So, I drizzled Worcestershire sauce on the chopped cabbage to keep the salt content of the entire meal. I enjoyed the TON-KATSU with nothing on it, and the cabbage with all the sauce on it made my white rice go faster. Aha, it was delicious. 1600 yen is not good enough, I want to pay 2400 yen. Note: "Eating TON-KATSU without anything on it" is the recommended way of eating TON-KATSU by Mr. Masuhiro Yamamoto and other members of the Tokyo Tonkatsu Conference. GDPは、その後80年を定義し、また形作りました。今日お話ししたい事は国の成功を測る別の方法について、次の80年の定義付けと形成をする別の方法についてです。

まず、始めにGDPがどのように私達の生活を支配しているか？理解しなければなりません。クズネッツは危機の時代に提出されました。アメリカの経済は世界大恐慌に向けて急降下しつつあり、政策立案者が苦闘している時代でした。

何が起こるのか全く分からず、苦闘していたのです。彼らはデータも統計も持ち合わせていなかったのです。そこでクズネッツはアメリカ経済が生み出したものについて、信頼できるデータを年次報告として彼らに提出したのです。

この情報を元に政策立案者は、ついに大恐慌を抜け出す事ができたのです。クズネッツの発明はとても便利だと思われたため、世界中に広がってゆきました。そして、今日、すべての国ではGDPが集計されています。

しかし、実のところクズネッツはそれに対して警告を唱えてもいたのです。

それは報告の序章にあります。

7ページ目で彼は述べています「国の社会福祉そのものは、上述した国家収入をものさしとして、推量することは滅多にできない」

もう一度言います！！「推量することは滅多にできない！！」

世界最高のキャッチフレーズではなく、経済学者の慎重な言いまわしでしたが、言いたいことははっきりしています。

GDPは道具に過ぎない！！経済のパフォーマンスを測るものに過ぎないと言っています。

私達の幸福を測るものではないのです！！すべての決定を導く手引きではないはずなのです。

しかし、クズネッツ氏の警告は無視され、私達の世界では、GDPがグローバル経済の成功を測る基準となってしまいました。

GDPが上がると政治家は自慢します。

マーケットは、動き、何兆ドルもの資本金が世界中をめぐっていきます。どの国で富が増えていてどの国で富が減っているかに基づいて、それらすべてはGDPで測られています。我々の社会が、さらなるGDPを創出するためのエンジンに成り果てたのです。

GDPには弱点があります。環境を無視して軍需産業や刑務所ビジネスを発展と捉えながら、幸福感や人々の事は考慮されません。そして、公平さや正義についてまったく言及されていません。

だとすれば、むしろ当たり前ではありませんか？GDPにのって進軍するこの世界が迫りくる環境災害の対応にもたつき、怒りと闘争に満たされているのは？

もっとふさわしい社会の測り方は、実際人々の上に起こっている事に基づいて測られるべきです。十分に食料があるか？読み書きができるか？治安は大丈夫か？権利があるか？差別の無い社会に住んでいるか？

自分の将来と子供達の将来は、環境破壊から保護されているか？これらはGDPが答えようとせず、また答える事のできない問い掛けです。

もちろん、これまでにもGDP論を超えてゆこうとする努力もありましたが、今こそ、社会の測り方に革命を起こす時が来たと私は信じています。今こそ、その時だと言えるのは、2008年の金融危機で経済発展への依存に惑わされた事を私達は目撃したからです。

そして、アラブの春でチュニジアのような経済の優等生のような国であっても、彼らの社会が不満に溢れていた事も私達は目撃しました。今では、クズネッツ氏の想像の及ばない方法でデータを集積、解析できるテクノロジーさえ持ち合わせている。

だからこそ、今が「その時」なのです。

今日は「社会システム進歩指数」を紹介します。それは、社会の幸福を測るものでGDPとは全く関係がありません。世界を同時並行的に見られるまったく新しい方法です。社会システム進歩指数は、３つの次元において良い社会とは何かを定義し���す。

第一に、すべての人に生活に必要な食料、水、住居、治安が備わっているか？

第二に、すべての人が教育、情報、健康、持続可能な環境などの生活を向上させるための構成要素が得られるか？

第三に、すべての個人に目標、夢、熱意を障害無く成し遂げる事のできる機会があるだろうか？

権利、自由な選択、平等を持ち合わせ、最先端の知識を得られているだろうか？最先端の知識を得られているだろうか？これら社会進歩の枠組みからなる12の要素が一緒になっています。

これら12の要素が、国々がどのように運営されているかを測る指標となっています。努力や意思の指標ではなく、本物の成果を測っています。国がどれだけ国民の健康に費やしたかではなく、国民の寿命の長さや生活の質を測ります。

行政府が偏見に立ち向かう法律を通過させたか？ではなく、人々が偏見を経験したか？で測ります。

警察の圧力や権力濫用も測ります。

歴史が示すところによれば、警察が、ひとたび大量のデータを保有し、無実の人々の追尾するようになると暴走し、拡大解釈をし続け、脅し、威嚇、特権意識の乱用や政治的な優位を得る行為、時には、法令を無視した同意や許可申請のない単なる覗き見行為へと濫用されがちです。

幸いにも、我々にも取るべき手段があります。市議会は、地方警察を統制できるので、条例を制定することによって無実の人々の情報を破棄し、保存期間も短期間にすることで、このような技術の合法的な使用のみを認可するのです。

オウム真理教の集団テロ事象の原因は開発独裁特有の当時、自民党55年体制の特権意識による負の遺産とインターネット黎明期にまだ周波数を独占的した民放テレビ局の暴走が談合を産み出し、警察機関が職権乱用して談合に便乗。監視も悪用し権力を思うままにふるまわせたことによる出来事にすぎない。

みなさん。考えてみてください！オウム真理教の集団テロ事象の後���警察権力は拡大してます！防衛庁は防衛省になりましたよね。拡大してます！スピード早くないですか？歴史的に見ると危険です。権力を思うままにふるまわせたことによる証拠です。憎しみの連鎖の起点の一つ。

テレビ潰れろ！なくせ！警察の職権乱用。警察が悪さしないようにまず監視カメラを警察内部につけろ！防衛省を防衛庁に格下げ、警察予算を削減してベーシックインカムの原資にすること。

今年、すでに非営利組織「Imazon」は初めてブラジルで地方での社会進歩指数の利用に着手しました。アマゾン地域で行いました。そこは、ヨーロッパと同じ程度のサイズで2400万の人々が住む貧しい場所です。

こちらがその結果です。800の自治体に分けられています。この地域における本当の生活の質についての詳細な情報がここに表されています。

アマゾンの熱帯雨林を保護しながら、人々の生活の質を向上させる発展計画をImazon、行政府、企業、自治体からのパートナーと共に作り上げています。これは始まりに過ぎません。

あなたもどの国、地域、都市や自治体でも社会進歩指数を作る事ができます。「TEDx」がそうであるようにこれは「社会システム進歩指数x」です。誰でも用いる事ができるツールです。

GDPは、20世紀の発明品で20世紀の問題に立ち向かいました。

21世紀には、高齢化、肥満、気候変動など。私達は新たな問題に直面します。

これらに立ち向かうためには、新たなツールが、新たな発展を評価する概念やツールが必要です。

マーガレット・サッチャーはこう言いました。

「社会などというものは存在しない」存在するのは社会ではなく個人とその家族だけなのです。

この誤解されたイデオロギーは、いまだに非常によく機能しており貧乏人が自らの貧困を恥じる理由となっています。

さらに、トニー・ブレア政権で、サッチャー政権の負の遺産を修正し、地方公共団体や公企業が復活、民営化によるサービス低下への対策が行われ

医療予算は大幅に増額させ、国民健康保険も立て直し、教育政策においても負の遺産であるサッチャー政権が導入した競争型の中等学校が事実上廃止！？公立学校の地位向上がなされ元に戻りました。

有名なサッチャリズムと呼ばれている政策は、ケインズの双璧をなすミルトン・フリードマンやフリードリヒ・ハイエクの経済学に対する思想が、のちの新自由主義的な経済改革の源です。

主に、小さな政府や政府の市場への介入を抑制する政策、国有企業の民営化や規制緩和、金融システム改革（金融ビックバン）など。

さらに、改革の障害になっていた労働組合の影響力を削ぎ、所得税、法人税、の大幅な税率の引き下げを実施。しかし、医療制度を機能不全に陥らせたり、金持ち優遇政策を採った副作用が起き始めます。

一方、付加価値税（消費税）は1979年に従来の8%から15%に引き上げられた。その後、小さな政府の柱の一つであった完全なマネタリズムを放棄し、リフレーション政策に転じていきます。

サッチャリズムと同時期に、アメリカでは、レーガノミクスが起きています。後に、「双子の赤字」と呼ばれる負の遺産を残します。その後、２００８年の金融危機でレーガノミクスを改善したような対策。

２００６年から２０１４年にかけて就任したFRBバーナンキ議長の経済対策のようなプロセスに到達しています。双子の赤字以上にアメリカの法人資産は金融工学を駆使しているし、黒字を維持し続けているので、膨大な金融政策でも成長しています。

２０１２年からの日本の経済政策も似ていますが、賃金だけが上がっていません。

情報技術の発展とインターネットで大企業の何十万、何百万単位から、facebook、Apple、Amazom、Google、Microsoftなどで数億単位で共同作業ができるようになりました。

現在、プラットフォーマー企業と呼ばれる法人は先進国の国家単位レベルに近づき欧米、日本、アジア、インドが協調すれば、中国の人口をも超越するかもしれません。

法人は潰れることを前提にした有限責任！ 慈愛や基本的人権を根本とした社会システムの中の保護されなければならない小企業や個人レベルでは、違いますが・・・

最後に、マクロ経済学の大目標には、「長期的に生活水準を高め、今日のこども達がおじいさん達よりも良い暮らしを送れるようにする！！」という目標があります。

経済成長を「パーセント」という指数関数的な指標で数値化します。経験則的に毎年、経済成長２％くらいで巡航速度にて上昇すれば良いことがわかっています。

たった、経済成長２％のように見えますが、毎年、積み重ねるとムーアの法則みたいに膨大な量になって行きます。

また、経済学は、大前提としてある個人、法人モデルを扱う。それは、身勝手で自己中心的な欲望を満たしていく人間の部類としては最低クズというハードルの高い個人、法人。

たとえば、生産性、利益という欲だけを追求する人間。地球を救うという欲だけを追求する人間。利益と真逆なぐうたらしたい時間を最大化したいという欲を追求する人間。などの最低生活を保護、向上しつつお金の循環を通じて個人同士の相互作用も考えていく(また、憎しみの連鎖も解消する)

多様性はあるが、欲という側面では皆平等。つまり、利益以外からも解決策を見出しお金儲けだけの話だけではないのが経済学(カントの「永遠平和のために」思想も含めて個人のプライバシーも考慮)

続いて

前提として、公人、有名人、俳優、著名人は知名度と言う概念での優越的地位の乱用を防止するため徹底追跡可能にしておくこと。

人間自体を、追跡すると基本的人権からプライバシーの侵害やセキュリティ上の問題から絶対に不可能です！！

これは、基本的人権がないと権力者が悪逆非道の限りを尽くしてしまうことは、先の第二次大戦で白日の元にさらされたのは、記憶に新しいことです。

マンハッタン計画、ヒットラーのテクノロジー、拷問、奴隷や人体実験など、権力者の思うままに任せるとこうなるという真の男女平等弱肉強食の究極が白日の元にさらされ、戦争の負の遺産に。

基本的人権がないがしろにされたことを教訓に、人権に対して厳しく権力者を監視したり、カントの思想などを源流にした国際連合を創設します。他にもあります。

参考として、フランスの哲学者であり啓蒙思想家のモンテスキュー。

法の原理として、三権分立論を提唱。フランス革命（立憲君主制とは異なり王様は処刑されました）の理念やアメリカ独立の思想に大きな影響を与え、現代においても、言葉の定義を決めつつも、再解釈されながら議論されています。

また、ジョン・ロックの「統治二論」を基礎において修正を加え、権力分立、法の規範、奴隷制度の廃止や市民的自由の保持などの提案もしています。現代では権力分立のアイデアは「トリレンマ」「ゲーム理論の均衡状態」に似ています。概念を数値化できるかもしれません。

権限が分離されていても、各権力を実行する人間が、同一人物であれば権力分立は意味をなさない。

そのため、権力の分離の一つの要素として兼職の禁止が挙げられるが、その他、法律上、日本ではどうなのか？権力者を縛るための日本国憲法側には書いてない。

モンテスキューの「法の精神」からのバランス上、法律側なのか不明。

立法と行政の関係においては、アメリカ型の限定的な独裁である大統領制において、相互の抑制均衡を重視し、厳格な分立をとるのに対し、イギリス、日本などの議院内閣制は、相互の協働関係を重んじるため、ゆるい権力分立にとどまる。

アメリカ型の限定的な独裁である大統領制は、立法権と行政権を厳格に独立させるもので、行政権をつかさどる大統領選挙と立法権をつかさどる議員選挙を、別々に選出する政治制度となっている。

通常の「プロトコル」の定義は、独占禁止法の優越的地位の乱用、基本的人権の尊重に深く関わってきます。

通信に特化した通信プロトコルとは違います。言葉に特化した言葉プロトコル。またの名を、言論の自由ともいわれますがこれとも異なります。

基本的人権がないと科学者やエンジニア（ここでは、サイエンスプロトコルと定義します）はどうなるかは、歴史が証明している！独占独裁君主に口封じに形を変えつつ処刑される！確実に！これでも人権に無関係といえますか？だから、マスメディアも含めた権力者を厳しくファクトチェックし説明責任、透明性を高めて監視しないといけない。

今回、未知のウイルス。新型コロナウイルス2020では、様々な概念が重なり合うため、均衡点を決断できるのは、人間の倫理観が最も重要！人間の概念を数値化できないストーカー人工知能では、不可能！と判明した。

複数概念をざっくりと瞬時に数値化できるのは、人間の倫理観だ。

そして、サンデルやマルクスガブリエルも言うように、哲学の善悪を判別し、格差原理、功利主義も考慮した善性側に相対的にでかい影響力を持たせるため、弱者側の視点で、XAI(説明可能なAI)、インターネット、マスメディアができるだけ透明な議論をしてコンピューターのアルゴリズムをファクトチェックする必要があります。

Speaking of needing Kichō-sama, look what I bought! I mainly want the acrylic stand, but I will also take a tiny badge. Trying to find the GrafArt acrylic set has been futile, and very expensive.

There’s been quite a lot of merch that I’ve been wanting, and it’s just not working out. I was pumped to place an order for the Nobunaga magazine, but the fees are outrageous. It’s like I have to sacrifice a kidney when shopping on Nadema. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and hope someone sells an used copy on Yahoo or Mercari and is not after my wallet. Like, if I’m really going to ruin my bank account, I may as well buy Mitsuhide’s big acrylic diorama stand. With all the fees applied, it’s like $50.

That said, I haven’t been as active going after the Cybird Shop merch. This is all I got:

There was one for 1300 yen that I was going to try and swipe from someone else. But, it shot up to 2400 yen, and I let it go. Someone bought the 1800 yen one, too. I settled for this one, and crossed my fingers. Thankfully, no one fought me for it, and I was able to get it for 2000 yen. Honestly, I think this is all I’m going to get. I’m just not sold on the others. I’m mostly looking forward to the Gifu merch instead.

Depending on my financial situation, I may just ship more merch to my house. It’s stuff from September and a little from August and maybe October. I’m trying to get my older orders out asap. A good chunk of my merch has been sitting in Buyee’s warehouse for the longest time.
