im really disconnected from the danganronpa series as a whole because other than the 3rd one and despair sisters ive never even really liked the series as a whole, but i recently saw all of the more recent birthday/april foolsday tweets written as ouma and them translated!? they are literally like, completely rejuvinating my interest in ouma. its the first time ive seen actual translations of his text that arent from the localization in so so fucking long (the first time since 2018) and its literally like reading messages from my child i havent seen in years. like yes. YES. THATS EXACTLY HOW I REMEMBER YOU ACTING. I MISSED YOU. HOLY FUCKING SHIT

Happy Fool's Day!

Today is a day some choose to honor Tricksters. This is a day many Lokeans and other Norse pagans honor Loki with offerings and rituals (and some with pranks). Last year, I talked a bit about the Joker card and the Joker. Today, we'll talk about The Fool. But first, a bit of trivia...

Years ago, I was inspired by this and went looking for a pagan connection to the holiday. The origins appeared to be political. The closest ancient celebration a Roman holiday called Hilaria, a spring festival associated with the cult of Cybele that was usually held around March 25. The festivities involved processions and masquerades, including people disguising themselves as fellow citizens and nobility.

Now, The Fool... (I'm including the my Fool as the image card -- I truly love that He's carrying a sprig of mistletoe. Hail Loki!)

Often considered naive, impulsive, and "foolish", the Fool is a risk taker, ready for adventure, completely unaware and unconcerned about the obstacles and dangers ahead. In fact, in a number of decks, The Fool is not watching where he/she is going and is blissfully unaware that they are about to step off a cliff. Some similar traits have been attributed to Tricksters -- impulsive, unconcerned about the consequences of Their actions until those consequences are staring Them directly in the face... I love The Fool! The Fool is ready to begin a new journey, open to the wisdom and growth the journey offers. The Fool asks you to take a leap of faith, to trust the journey, trust yourself, trust that, even though the path is winding and dangerous (and it is... life isn't safe! Life is dangerous), the Trickster has your back!

That next step is... ahem... Well, that next step will be worth it... 😉

So, Happy Fool's Day to my Tricksters! (Lucifer has a trickster aspect as well.)

Foolsday. Project 0 (3)

Foolsday (23rd November, 2019) was a free art party in the Forest cafe for everyone wanting to turn 0 years old together. 

To invite the inner child for crafting raw and magical art, arrangement of an exhibition of fringe video art in the basement was coupled to experimental and spontaneous noise performances upstairs. This sonic backdrop was used to encourage playful and unrestricted audience interaction with the craft and divination stations set up in the cafe. Participants could think of their birthday wish and draw a Tarot card to see what they can do to make their wish come true. The Tarot deck was collaged and made by me specifically for this event, so people could steal the cards without any consequences if they needed to.
