okay so like everywhere I have lived there have been major pros and cons; houston has amazing food and the friends i have there are always down to go out and have fun but it's also close to family and too car-centric, also as much as I adore the warm weather and the monsoon, the floods are only getting worse as climate change goes on it's not a place people can live long-term; i fucking hate portland's weather and genuinely could not handle how fake it was (claims to be progressive but on g*d possibly the most racist place I have ever been in my life, everything is overpriced, charges big city prices but does not offer big city amenities, etc literally could write a book about the things I hate there); rural utah was probably the most beautiful place i will ever live, it was awesome in terms of hiking and nature and i loved my job but i needed to be somewhere with more people and food; alaska is really beautiful, I love the mountains and I love the dry weather, but I just... don't want to be here, I'm not passionate about this job, I want to be doing the things I care about like finishing school and moving to a place that actually has things i want like public transit and restaus so I don't have to cook for myself every night and lots of different kinds of people
