I know a lot of ppl felt that a premise as dark as The Hunger Games being geared toward tweens and teens was a terrible idea. but I think it was really good that I saw it as young as I did, bc The Capitol gave me a fantastic lens through which to view Hollywood and the extravagances of the elite, as I came of age at the precise time social media began exporting those extravagances into every home in America.

Overhaul has a distinct color palette and sweethomes aesthetic is unique

These are what I would consider to be the most basic, bare-bones questions of character creation.

What would completely break your character?

What was the best thing in your character’s life?

What was the worst thing in your character’s life?

What seemingly insignificant memories stuck with your character?

Does your character work so that they can support their hobbies or use their hobbies as a way of filling up the time they aren’t working?

What is your character reluctant to tell people?

How does your character feel about sex?

How many friends does your character have?

How many friends does your character want?

What would your character make a scene in public about?

What would your character give their life for?

What are your character’s major flaws?

What does your character pretend or try to care about?

How does the image your character tries to project differ from the image they actually project?

What is your character afraid of?

What is something most people in your setting do that your character things is dumb?

Where would your character fall on a politeness/rudeness scale?

interludio: vatos que te tiran paro y te tratan como tu jefe

pues así como dice el título, seguro no soi la única persona a la que le ha pasado: un vato [que se dice tu amigo] te tira un paro y entonces empieza a mandonearte como si fuera tu jefe {o pior que tu jefe, porque tu jefe al menos no se mete a tus decisiones privadas}

así, ya ves, que te dice que cuándo debes hacer las cosas y que cómo debes sentirte, y por qué lo que dices es pura excusa

todo con tal de hacer un poco de papel moneda en este mundo de capitalismo rampante

tirar un paro implica que al final del día, la persona a la que le estás tirando un paro termine mejor de como empezó; pero si al final resulta que la persona ya no tiene ni siquiera interés de saber nada de ti, a lo mejor podrías hacer un poco de introspección y pensar qué hiciste mal; no sé, sólo un pienso

mi historia comenzó, como las historias normalmente comienzan, con una carta; la verdad no sé a dónde nos lleve todo este trayecto del camino

porque en la carta mencioné haberle dicho es que no escuchas y no tienes autocrítica y sólo pidió que le dijera qué estaba haciendo mal, como diciéndome que él no había hecho nada mal

claro, un día me preguntó si todo bien, y le dije que no: tengo mucho dolor, no me puedo mover muy bien, y siento un fuerte mareo; me dijo que "le preocupaba" que no me salieran las cuentas

me molesté porque ya le había dicho que no podría ser tan automática la transición para mí a ser taxista, y cuando llegué con él para ver el cambio de foco, sólo me dijo ¿has notado que el medicamento te hace enojar?, ¿lo has notado?

io no sé si nadie le ha dicho que es de muy mal gusto y pésimo tino andar dando opiniones no solicitadas y especialmente si tienen que ver con los efectos de algún medicamento psiquiátrico

bueno, ahora sólo pienso que si no sabe qué hizo mal, de esta forma quizás sea más fácil que escuche
