How I pinkify my code editor/IDE!

Continuing on posting about how I making my coding experience more fun, I'll be going to show you what I did to pinkify my:

Theme

So, let's start with Visual Studio because I use that the most because of work! I installed themes to it (here is a post I made on how to install the exact ones I have (install once, comes with lots of themes)) and I changed the fonts!

Best you follow my installation post, as the themes I will list now will be from that exact theme set I installed (called "The Doki Theme"). I'm a fan of Light themes more than the Dark ones for VS:

Fonts

Sometimes I get tired of the monospace font on my code editor. I know it's almost a crime to change the font of your code editor/IDE but I get bored so easily, a well-known trait of mine, and want to spice things up again so I change the font! As well as that, my eyes have a hard time reading the code after a while because of the monospace font! I still sometimes use it though~! (´；ω；`)

But first, for those who don't know how to change the font + font size (if you want also) in Visual Studio:

♡ Toolbar > Tools > Options > Environment > Fonts and Colors > Font

Some site updates

Just a quick post noting some changes to the site.

The Links box on the main page has been split- socials are now underneath in the Find Me box.

The background image across pages is now a simple black and grey grid. This was one of many changes made to reduce the site's filesize.

The hitcounter/last update box was originally the only element with a unique font- fonts are now globally MS UI Gothic for consistency (also I had a lot of unused font files sitting around that I didn't need).

I made a new button that is no longer animated.

The Shrines page along with the finished A.B.A shrine and W.I.P Lain shrine have been removed- I have the files archived if I ever decide to come back to them.

The ability to display album covers by clicking the title on the Album and Backlog pages have been removed, along with the images themselves.

This is not a comprehensive list of changes, but it's the important parts- in doing these and more, the site has gone down in size from over 80MB (due to my poor file management and heavy use of large images) to under 85KB as of writing this post.

OK so ive been using ONLY krita on pc for a while, and i booted up CSP now after a while, here are thangs that i noticed:

krita has a more modificable? modifible? MODIFIABLE THATS THE WORD. Environment. I have a pretty dark pink theme (from heeere :3), and with MS Gothic as the default font (friendship with Pixellari ended, now MS Gothic is my best friend). I cant do that in Clip Studio. I can only choose between dark and light. Lame

the brushes are smoother in Clip Studio than in Krita (probs cuz im in windows), but i prefer the shortcut for them in Krita. PopUp window with brushes and color selector my beloved

thats it. my conclusion is that either i got accustomed to krita or its just that good :3

Counter Project | #3Days1Project

Monday 12th June 2023

For my 4th project, I created a bee counter page! I was thinking of a theme for the counter, I didn't want the basic 'Here is a counter' page, so Iooked around and I saw @zoeythebee on my dashboard - now I worked on a bee-themed counter page! The idea is you can use the counter to count the bees in your back garden a fun activity 🐝

The JavaScript part of this was to work with the buttons to make the number go up or down or reset the counter. Then also showing a message when you count < 1 bees!

i got amnesia  did i already post about how earlier i finally figured out how to make an options menu  and all it took was “actually having things going on that it would be reasonable to make options in a menu for so i’m not just making arbitrary buttons to press”

It’s not very exciting   but there is one interesting thing and that is that initially the screenshake multiplier setting when set to zero somehow, instead of entirely negating screenshake as i intended, caused the screen to instead shake EXTREMELY INTENSELY and NEVER STOP.  i still don’t know why this happened it shouldn’t have even been affecting how long the screen shakes for   i got around it by just putting another if statement in the screenshake function but it will haunt me forever
