Ok so I remembered that @valtarshol made a Bohrok-inspired custom mask, so I decided to do a Thing with it. Originally it was just going to be the regular Bohrok, plus the "Fohrok", but then I went a bit overboard and ended up with 24 things.
First row: regular Bohrok.
Second row: Bohrok-Kal.
Third row: Maze of Shadows palettes (with Gahlok being slightly altered due to its MoS sprite having a grey faceplate).
Fourth row: left to right; Fohrok, Exo-Toa alternate build, Gladiator, Furno Bike, Bionicle Heroes GBA silver/cyan Bohrok, Bionicle Heroes GBA brown/green Bohrok (the latter two have artistic license in regards to their tusks and visors, as the original sprites lack either, so I'm using them as an excuse to show their accent-colours).

If someone makes a BIONICLE mod for PalWorld and doesn't replace Lamball with Bohrok, I will be so disappointed.

FOHROK VA

Motivation for these two was that, within established Bionicle material, there were artificially manufactured Bohrok that were called Fohrok.
Since Fake Bohrok were a thing, the logic soon developed from there; If there were Fake Bohrok, what would Fake Bohrok Va look like? So that's the image on the left, a Fohrok Va, and where there is Va, there are Va Kal, which is the image on the right.
Forged in the cauldrons of gilded industry. Foraged from the refuse of commerce, and betrayal. Your kind was manufactured at the turn of the tide, for a war you could never realize your masters had already lost.
Sleek gargoyles, you sit emplaced upon parapet bastions, claws embedded into metal, blades as high as ramparts. Baleful ruination is the defiant death you cast forth from your perch above.
Silent harpies, you cast your gaze indifferent through stoney faced and steely eyed. With blazing red talons, you cast forth malady and destruction, carving through in ceaseless hordes.
"Protect us," Your doomed curators plead. "Protect us, so that through your protection we may complete our task."
To clean it all, the land must have example of what is to be considered clean.
Manufactured, and obedient, like the homunculous you comprise.
Fohrok

Nothing to See Here
If you dropped a Fohrok in with a bunch of active Bohrok would they notice or just keep going about their day? It might be a good way for the Matoran to keep tabs on the swarm on Spherus Magna if they seeded the new hive with Fohrok rigged with cameras and with fake krana placed under the head plate. It would be a lot like those nature specials where the naturalists put baby animal costumes or fake rocks over their cameras to sneak them in among the animals.
Heck, they might even be able to rebuild a Boxor unit to look a bit more like the Bohrok and just have the Matoran pilot wear a paper-mache krana over their mask. Once you have the walk down and if you make enough clicking noises no one will suspect a thing!
*Modified Boxor awkwardly marches around the hive while clicking out gibberish and the occasional swear.*
Bohrok 1: What’s wrong with that guy? He’s freaking me out!
Bohrok 2: I have no idea, just don’t make eye contact and hope he goes away.

August 31st Last day of Bionicle month, and what better way to end it than with a Fohrok. (AKA the FAKE Bohrok) Yes they are cannon, I urge you to look them up if your unfamiliar with how they fit into the story. They are Kranaless, and usually are found resembling yellow/blue Pahrak, much like the one I've built! #LEGO #art #MOC #oneaday #teamred #creation #365days #originaldesign #crossover #recolor #creator #inspire #justimagine #system #minifigure #minifig #AFOL #technic #legogram #legomoc #legophotography #legotechnic #bionicle #pahrak #bohrok #fohrok https://www.instagram.com/p/CTQLvTYJGYk/?utm_medium=tumblr

Have you ever thought of asking Nuparu to re-create the vahki, kraahu and kranua (maybe even throw in the blueprints for fohroks so he can re-create them to) for extra protection to your villages, cities and caravans? Bara Magna has a lot more hostiles creatures and people, now that both the people and creatures of your world has merged with that of Bara Magna, and the toas/glatorians can't be everywere at ones to protect. Plus a lot of bad people has escaped The Pit since than.
Absolutely not!
How could you even think of such a thing? Aside from Dume, no one has any love for those horrid machines.
Have you not listened to any of the Turaga’s tales? Even if they were originally built for protection, they were easily turned into sinister tools for enforcing fear and paranoia into the citizens. These weren’t any living things with consciences; these were cold, unfeeling machines and if they fell into the wrong hands- Well you should know exactly what happened when they fell into the likes of Makuta!
How dare you even think I would even consider asking that of my friend. Nuparu already has enough guilt on his shoulders over this. I’m not throwing this back on him and cause him to go through another crises again!
Maybe there are more hostiles than possibly Toa and Glatorian right now. But the solution to that is not going to be rebuilding things that didn’t work before.

How usefull where the Exo-Toas, Rahi nuis, Fohroks, manas, mana kos and rahkshis for the brotherhood back in the day? And would they be usefull now, or would they need an update/upgrade?
Unfortunately, the “Fohrok” were never put into use, thanks to their creators having “moral objections” to how I planned to use them. And while the Rahi Nui is one of the deadliest beasts in existence, I created only one as more of a “personal project”.
The others, however, were among the most fearsome beings to serve the Brotherhood, and remain just as deadly to this day. The only thing I would change is giving the Manas greater resistance to colder temperatures.

hypothetical SM game companions -super short version
a while back @spoonersbonkles had some hypothetical bonkle game companions thought out, which fit the mass effect style, I’ve had a more Fallout 4/New Vegas approach to it, by putting only a few followers in the game that will group up at the player’s base(a salvaged vahki transport) when dismissed
Veb: A matoran that will forage ingredients and salvage components for the player, she’s the optional tutorial giver(yes, she’s Sunny Smiles), and usually the first companion you meet, as well as the most well rounded one.
Karak: A skakdi with split personalities, he will either be Karak1, is a hyper active, trash talking damage dealer while Karak 2 is primarily a tank, but can be extremely stealthy, Karak is a necessary companion to gain entry into Chakkdurez, the main skakdi fortress in the area
Rishnada: A member of Takadox’s race, she hates the player, the other companions, all the npcs, and just everything, but she’s an incredible healer. She’s so visibly angry that most bandits will avoid you if she’s in your party, and intimidating npcs always works, since she’s usually behind you and glaring at whoever you speak to.
Bruuls: A steltian labourer(minroe) a gentle, helpful personality, he has no offensive skills, but has the highest carrying capacity of any follower, and can tank far more damage than Karak2.
Bekshlohm: An older steltian aristocratic that will run at the first sign of combat, despite being a cowardly, kind old man, many followers feel an intense discomfort around him. He carries a large merchant pack on his back and will buy any item from the player with a base value of 100 widgets and above. NOTE: followers are protected and therefore can only be killed by the player, if Bekshlohm is killed at any point in the game the grave robbing epidemic will halt indefinitely
Nyra: A male vortixx mercenary archer, who will take enemies out from up to a mile away with exceptional damage and accuracy, but he takes a while to nock and fire his arrows. he’s initially distrustful of the player and the other companions, but he grows more open and friendly the more he travels with the party
Skitters: A female visorak of the Oohnorak breed, she is owned by Karkus, a skakdi beast master who will sell you her for 1500 widgets, she can imitate enemy voices, as well as throw her voice to distract them, occasionally she will fire her non lethal paralysis rhotuka at bandits that get too close
Aegis Unlimited: a modified bordakh vahki unit found in an abandoned robo-arena, it can be modified with pieces from other mechanical enemies found in the game: (Exo Toa, feral rahkshi, fohrok, maxilos security units, and other salvaged vahki)

these two little guys are actually interesting in their own right- A sort of What If inside of the existing What If
I knew that Fohrok were a thing, but I got to thinking; What If There Was A Fohrok Va?
so that's the chunky one with the elbow blades and Vakama's disc launcher/jet pack on its back
and since I was already in the habit of making Va Kal, I figured it only appropriate to make a Fohrok Va Kal!

Tumblr mobile seems to have absolutely bungled the formating of the post, so I'll be redoing Fohrok later on.
Grumble. Grumble grumble grumble.
