ever think about how weird it is to love an entire cast of a show? Like as much as I love reading about Buck and Eddie, it doesn't compare to how I love the firefam. Bobby's relationship with Buck. Bucks' relationship with Maddie. Buck's relationship with Christopher. Christopher's relationship with Eddie. Eddie's relationship with Chim. Chim's relationship with Hen. Hen's relationship with Karen.
I could still go on... didn't even mention my girls Athena or May. Or Carla. Or Jee. See?! It never ends.
My love for this wee woo show is remarkable💙❤️

》CAITLYN
She noticed from the start that you were a little different from everyone else. Not that she necessarily cared much about it. You were still you after all, and your diagnosis is just a part of you she considers endearing.
With that said, Caitlyn always listens to your needs very closely and does everything in her power to help you out with them. She'll get you anything you ask for in hopes of making life easier for you. Whether it's medical help or just something to help with your fidgeting in general, you'll have it in no time with her.
Cait can, therefore, come off as kind of overbearing or overprotective at first. She wants you to lead a smooth and successful life, so she'll always be around to make any task doable for you. Procrastination does not exist when she's there, to say the least.
Her patience is an important part of your relationship that's practically invaluable. Your fidgety and unfocused nature took a moment for her to get used to, but she never makes a big deal out of it. Instead, she simply adapts to your needs and learns to cherish them as well.
Tumblr media
》JINX
Probably the most understanding out of everyone, albeit in the most chaotic way possible. You two are a rather troubling duo, as she herself isn't in the best position to help you out properly. Her ideas are always outlandish yet somehow still work out in the end anyways, which is rather impressive.
You're both very fidgety, but she makes up for it with her hyper awareness. Procrastination is never a thing with her, considering how focused she always is on every project she has and so it becomes somewhat of a normal thing for you to simply work in the same space together, even if it's with just music playing in the background in-between you two.
She's the last person to ever treat you any differently for your diagnosis and doesn't ever let you feel bad for it either. You accept her, and she accepts you. Anyone that tries shaming you for it is as good as dead anyway.
You two learn how to take care of each other better than anyone else ever could. Jinx may not be able to help you out like a professional doctor could, but she'll do anything to help you out no matter what forever.
Tumblr media
》EKKO
He doesn't entirely get it at first, mainly as he was always surrounded by people who were rather unique in their own way. But as always with anything, he still does his best to learn everything he needs to about your diagnosis and how he can help you with the resources he has. Which aren't many, but his creativity truly shines at times when it comes to you.
You're not treated any differently from everyone else, and he sure as hell doesn't allow anyone to do that either. You are normal, just with more needs that he tends to carefully. So whether it's your inability to focus well or stay still for a long time, he'll find a way to make things easier. He understands your procrastination and doesn't really push you to do things unless it's very important. But he'll work with you on any projects or missions you may have.
His patience is endless for you and his kindness even more so. He understands if you feel frustrated sometimes and tries his best to soothe you when your emotions are a little harder to process. He'll let you fidget and be yourself as much as you want to, never the type to stop you. You should be yourself around him, and he appreciates how vulnerable you are with that.
Ekko loves you no matter how hard things can get with your diagnosis. He takes every challenge on with ease and never judges you for it either.

Could we get a 2003 Raph x reader where reader is super sweet and easygoing, like to total opposite of Raph…and the others are so confused/shocked?
Opposites Attracts (Fluff)
2003!Raphael x reader
Tumblr media
A/N: Yes you can. It’s a little on the shorter side, but I hope you’ll still enjoy it❤️
Tumblr media
Warning: None❤️
Tumblr media
When you and Raph first made your relationship public, the others were - at a lack of better words - shocked. The two of you could not be more different, with absolute opposite reactions to the world around you. So when you and Raph one day came down to the lair, hand in hand, on your way to tell Splinter that the two of you had in fact been together for a couple of months, you could see how the world that the turtles knew, changed in front of their eyes.
Raph had a tendency to get annoyed rather quickly, finding it much easier to lash out at others, instead of having to face his strong emotions head on. He could get rather negative, focusing his attention on smaller things that annoyed him, letting them blow up with ease as he complained about them. It could be anything from the weather to Leo’s leadership, and he could go on for hours, tiring out anybody that was there to listen. How and why you would want to be with someone so different from you, left many confused.
It has been mentioned quite a few times at this point, but you were the exact opposite of Raph. You were like day and night, with Raph being night and you most definitely being the day. You were like a walking ray of sunlight, brightening up the whole world around you. You were probably the most easy going person the turtles and their friends had ever met, even giving Mikey a run for his money. While Raph would get furious, and lash out at the world around him whenever he got annoyed or mad, you rarely got mad. Sound you ever get close to anger, you were amazingly good at verbalising your feelings, starting a calm conversation. You rarely complained, and lived with an understanding that the world wasn’t perfect, and that we can’t always get everything exactly the way we want it. Yet you always lend an ear to anyone that needed to get something off their heart, especially Raph. April and Donnie speculated that that was how you and Raph’s relationship first came about. Leo and Splinter believed it was nature balancing itself, while Mikey and Casey believed that either you or Raph had been charmed by something.
But no matter how shocking you and Raph’s relationship might have been for the others, there was no doubt that it was actually a well functioning relationship at that. You were a calming factor in Raph’s life, providing with a space and a kind of understanding he had been looking for all his life. After Leo and Raph had had a particularly intense verbal altercation, Raph did something he had never done before. Normally he would yell, call Leo names, and maybe even try to land a punch at him or a wall. But instead Raph just left for his, clearly still fuming as he mumbled all sorts of things to himself. When Leo then passed Raph’s room 30 minutes later to apologize and talk about what had happened, Leo found Raph laying in his hammock, the phone to where his ear would have been, talking calmly to you, telling you what had happened. Leo was even surprised to hear Raph admit that he might have overreacted. Hearing that, realizing that you might be what Raph needed the most at that moment, Leo left, letting you and Raph have you conversation in private peace.
Later that day you arrived in the lair, before spending the night with Raph. You didn’t do much other than talk. Talk about Raph’s feelings regarding what had happened between him and Leo that day. It was something you had been practicing with Raph for some time now. Putting words on his feelings or helping him do so, while learning to take certain things less seriously and letting what isn’t helping him emotionally.
The next morning, many were surprised when Raph pulled Leo to the side, in order to give him an apology, along with an explanation. There was no doubt anymore - you and Raph may be very different, but you were good for each other - especially you for Raph. Who knew, maybe Raph helped bring out parts of you that you had buried deep within you. Only time would tell, and many were excited to see where this would lead you and Raph.

Encompassed [Yandere Gojo Satoru x Fem Reader]
Word count: 5k
Summary: You were never supposed to be an omega and so you decided not to be. As a result, you gained friend, freedom and a life of your own. Everything was going your way until you came face to face with the world's strongest sorcerer.
Tumblr media
Chapter 1 - Encounter
“Oi! Y/n-chan!” Itadori yelled, waving to you from across the training grounds.
Y/n sat at the top of the cold stone staircase overlooking the field, looking up from the book in her hands, she spotted Yuji at the opposite end of the field with Nobara and Megumi. Grinning widely, you closed the book and stood up, raised an arm and waved back with the same amount of energy as Yuji.
“Itadori! Kugisaki! Fushiguro!” Y/n yelled.
You could see them smiling at you as they drew nearer. These were your new teammates. You have been working with them for about one month now and you all have gotten pretty close. ‘Well, Fushiguro was definitely a work in progress. Though, to be fair, I don’t think that anyone is actually close to him.’ You thought grimly to yourself as you walked down to greet them. Yuji was the first to greet you with both hands up. You smiled and jumped up to smack both of his hands with your own. It was the way you guys always greeted each other, always with a double hi-five.
It was really funny how you guys started this routine, actually. It actually started because of a comment he made about how short you were in comparison to the other members of your team. You bristled at that claim and rebuttal that you were in fact plenty tall for your age.  You are 17 years old and still have a bit more time to grow. Itadori being Itadori raised his hand all the way up high as proof of your shortness, daring you to touch it if you were really as tall as you calmed. Of course you couldn’t reach so he decided to make it easier for you, first bringing his hand down to half of its original height next to his head as he goaded you to try hitting him again. But you were pouting at the failed first attempt so he brought another hand up to mirror his other and teased you more, telling you that it would be easier since you had two targets. Still pouting, you couldn’t resist and jump a bit to smack both of them. It made Itadori grin and he earnestly complemented you, lightening your sour mood at the time and you smiled at him.
“Y/n-chan! Spar with me this time.” He begged with starry eyes.
“Sure.” You smiled at him gently, nodding in confirmation. You could hear Nobara in the background yelling at Itadori because she wanted to be your training partner for the day.
“Woo! Better luck next time, Kugisaki!” Itadori turned and snickered at her before facing you and getting into a fighting stance.
You giggled and shook your head at the pair. They were so silly and always behaved just like siblings. Focusing on the boy in front of you, you tossed your book aside and got into an offensive position.Without hesitation you struck your teammate first. He was caught off guard but managed to just barely block your right hook.
“Don’t look so shocked! You’re the one who wanted to spar but you’re not even paying attention.”  You followed up with a combo move that he easily blocked as well.
Yuji looked like he was serious now, determination shown on his face when he moved to strike back. You both traded blows with him at an impressive speed that your teammates could not match so they sat back and watched you both go at it. Neither one of you were getting the upper hand for very long in the battle but gosh, you were having so much fun! Yuji always gave you a good workout and it was always so exciting.
You genuinely enjoyed a good fight even before presenting last year. As young as 5, your powers manifested and you were strong. Your parents had been beyond overjoyed when that happened. At such a young and with such raw power, you had such a bright future and you would elevate their social status in the Jujutsu world. So they trained you hard and when they had nothing left to teach you, they sent you here, to school with all of the other sorcerers. They just knew you would be an Alpha. Your overly confident and cocky personality was proof enough but coupled with the immense amount of curse energy you had, there’s no way you could be anything less than that and they treated you with the respect and hardness of one. You easily fell into your roll over the years and believe that you would be an alpha as well.
Your upbringing may have been a bit rougher than you cared to admit, you can’t say you hated all of it. After all, alpha’s didn’t complain so you wouldn’t. Besides, every moment was useful and prepared you for real field work. It gave you the awesome personality trait of being a shit talker. A privilege only allowed to the strong. You adored your parents and thrived under all of their attention so imagine your shock when your attentive parents showed nothing but disdain for your very existence when you finally presented. You were an omega and so they cut ties with you. Abandoning you to the Jujutsu school with nothing but your name and the things you came with. At the very least, you took solace in the fact that your parents never reported you. This small saving grace gave you time and you were grateful for that. You would never scorn your parents because you understood their position.
You were worthless to them now, something they’d have to give up one way or another because according to the law, your kind were to be taken to a secured Omega Center facility immediately after presenting. Whisked away from the outside world and its influences, where they could become easily indoctrinated into proper omega roles. Omega’s were nothing but property to in society.
’Disgusting.’
As an omega, you weren’t meant to fight. In fact, it was illegal for you to even attend this school. ‘But I love to fight and protect the innocent people who cannot fight for themselves.’ You weren’t meant to take risks. ‘But that is my job.’ You weren’t meant to have freedom and make friends with the opposite sex unless they were other omega’s. ‘I really like friends and my sensei. They treat me as an equal, as an individual. They never look down on me.’ You’d be locked away, stripped of everything that was ‘You’ and made to take a mate that would control your every step and force you to have a litter of kids. All that you could do- all you could ever measure up to be was a glorified breeding mare. You would have been a prize to be tamed and pumped full of babies. Nothing more, nothing less.
‘That’s not the life that I want.’
Discarded and own your own, you unapologetically turned to drugs. Not some low quality trash that would harm you, but something more pure and refined to suit you specifically. Omega Pheromones Blockers or better known as OPB’s. But these were directly from a scientist you stumbled upon. You gave him a blood sample and he tailor made this for you. You thanked the heavens that you were trained to think quickly because the moment you were casted out, it took all but 10 minutes to devise a plan to stay under the radar. Lucky for you that your account was still accessible. You haven been on OPB’s for the last year and to the world, you were just a normal Beta female. Luckily for you, beta's scents were so subtle that it was just barely noticeable. Which is why it is rare for them to attract an Alpha or omega so your almost nonexistent scent went overlooked by everyone. Even if someone did have suspicions, it would become a mere afterthought once they detected your vast amount of curse energy you possessed and that cocky personality of yours. Besides, no omega would be allowed to roam the streets freely without a pack member as protection.
‘Not like I need a babysitter. I can protect myself.’
But here, fighting the young beta in front of you, was the best! It was fun and he’d never won a single sparring match against you. It fed your ego to know that even as an omega, you were faster and stronger than a beta. Society called you inferior because of your biology but you were so strong. You could handle yourself and even go toe to toe with quite a few alpha’s! Your opponents took you seriously because they thought you were a Beta. Only at the tender age of 17, you were a grade 1 sorcerer and you were a force to be reckoned with.
However, all of that changed today. You were going to be meeting the trio’s sensei. A powerful, unserious, weirdo, according to Fushiguro. That was extremely confusing to you but Itadori would not shut up about him and with much guilting and convincing, you agreed to meet him. Of course, you have heard about the infamous Gojo clan. Even small families like yours knew to stay clear of them, they were bloodthirsty, ruthless, and carried a deadly aura. Gojo Satoru, was hailed to be the strongest sorcerer of this generation which meant that he was even stronger than anyone in his psychotic clan. So the fact that he existed, a man born with both the Limitless and his Six Eyes, you were not exactly thrilled to be anywhere near that kind of danger. Just the thought of that made your wolf tremble. This was 100% going against your better judgment but it was impossible to deny Itadori. He was such a persistent little golden retriever in your eyes.
Unexpectedly, the beta in front of you landed a nasty kick to your rib and you doubled over in pain. You swore you heard a faint cracking sound. Yuji's eyes widened as he ran over to you in a panic, the others not so far behind him.
“Y/N are you ok? I’m so sorry!! I thought you would have dodge.” He crouched next to you in an attempt to assess the damage. You can hear the panic in his voice.
”Y/N! Can you stand? Itadori, you damn idiot! Who kicks a girl with that much force?” Nobara scolded him loudly before punching the top of his head. The Beta winced and Megumi approached y/n.
”I think my rib might be broken…” You chuckle before trying to straighten with some difficulty.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You sat on the paper covered bed with a pout as you listened to Shoko explain your diagnosis to you. You hang your head with annoyance, kicking your dangling feet back and forth like an idle child. Shoko sighed, assuming you weren’t paying attention so she grabbed your chin with her delicate fingers and tilted your head to focus on her.
“Y/n-chan, you have 3 hairline fractures. 3-” She held up 3 fingers with her opposite hand.
“On 2 different ribs. Which is a miracle. You are lucky you didn’t end up with a full on break. A direct hit from Itadori-kun is more than capable of doing it.”  She lets go of you and heads to a medicine cabinet.
“…” You deflated even more but winced in pain.
“2 weeks of bed rest. No missions, no training. And no complaining.” She tossed you a bottle of painkillers, which you caught and she fixed you with a look at the last order. She knew you well enough to know you would pout and try to negotiate the terms of your discharge and pretend like you weren’t in pain.
“Hai. Hai. Shoko-San.” You pouted before sucking in a deep breath to prepare for the pain when you got off the bed. It hurt like a bitch but you didn’t show any signs of pain as you thanked Shoko and exited the room.
The moment you closed the door, you were frozen in place. Hand still clutching the doorknob as a shock ran through your body and your hackles raised. You were internally panicking and you didn’t realize why until you turned your head and saw the last person you wanted to run into. Gojo Satoru. You may never have met him but everyone knew the description of that man. He was the only young sorcerer in Japan with snow white and brilliant blue eyes that you can peeking out from the tinted glasses on his face.
Your instincts recognized the overwhelming power radiating from that unknown alpha before your nose could even pick up the unfamiliar scent. It frightened you, he frightened you. You were sure your scent relayed that much. His scent alone was so overpowering that it engulfed the hallway like a flood. He smelled of the forest. Clean and crisp after a heavy rain and the slight node natural musk. But it was also sweet, like something you know you’ve come across before. You lifted your head a bit and scented the air. ‘Ah, it’s sugared birch.’ It was one of your favorite candle scents and it helped to calm you most after being abandoned here by your parents. You felt dizzy from his scent, like your consciousness left your body and was hovering around you. You felt your wolf whine at that moment, it was muffled but definitely clear enough to snap you out of that haze. She intended to keep you alert in the face of this threat. Right now, he was slowly closing in on you and you were staring in obvious panic. Everything was screaming at you to bare your neck or prostrate yourself as a sign of submission. It was your wolf. She was gnawing at the edges of your psyche and she seemed just as panicked too.
You had to fight tooth and nail with your inner wolf to move. You wanted to run away. Your mind wanted you to run away but your instincts, though weak, told you that it would be incredibly stupid to do so. A slight upwards tilt of the head came from the alpha as he acknowledges your presence, still slowly making his way towards you just gives confirmation that it would be. He looked predatory. Something in that gesture told you that he was daring you to try. He was daring you to run and it would have been a huge mistake because you could tell that he would catch you and you wouldn’t even get far.
Your heartbeat was loud in your ears by the time the white haired sorcerer finally stopped about an arms length in front of you. ‘This is insane. He had to be at least 6’2. No, maybe 6’3? Jesus, he is massive.’ You thought to yourself as your head traveled up to look at his face. The height difference only made you feel more intimidated by him.
Bending over slightly to look down on your smaller frame, he gave you a beautifully, disarming smile.
 “Yo.”
You tilted your head to the side and blinked at him twice. You stared at that man in complete confusion as you felt the tension in your body easing away immediately. A wave of calm washed over your body, giving you a warm feeling and dulling your senses. ‘What the hell…?’ Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. One moment you were about ready to claw yourself out of your skin to escape if needed, the next, you felt eerily calm and relaxed. Gojo gave you a knowing smirk before straightening to his full height.
“You must be Nanami’s student. Itadori-kun speaks of you often. I am his sensei, Gojo Satoru.” He held his hand out for you to shake.You looked down at his hand and bit your lip in contemplation. You didn’t want to touch him so instead you quickly bowed instead, a perfect 90 degree angle.
“It’s nice to meet you, Gojo-San. You are correct, Nanami-san is my sensei. My name is L/n Y/n, I am a Grade 1 sorcerer.” He used the same outstretched hand to gently grip your chin and raised your face to look at him. His fingers were so hot against your skin, uncomfortably so but you just clench your teeth and bared with it.
“Y/n-chan. It’s a pleasure to meet another promising young sorcerer.”
“T-thank you…” Internally smacking yourself for stuttering. ‘Ugh. Since when do I even stutter?! Jeez!’
You waited for him to remove his hand but he never did. Instead, he directed your head to either side slightly. He paused for a moment, seemingly in deep thought then smirked. In response to this, you raised a brow at him in question but he released your chin before you could verbally inquire as to what he was looking at.
“L/n-chan, I almost forgot-” The door to your right opened and Shoko appeared, interrupting whatever was going on.
“Ah. Gojo. It’s been a while.” The doctor turned and greeted her friend.
“It has been.” He responded in acknowledgment but seems to have kept his eyes on you.
“Uh, excuse me but I’m going to go now.” You said to the pair.
“Oh, hold on sec. Here.” The doctor turned to you and handed you a bottle of pills.
“Take these with food before bed. It's an antibiotic.”
You looked down at the bottle in your hands and nodded numbly before scurrying off, avoiding the man that you knew was staring at you. You could feel his gaze burning into you back until you turned the corner.
“Working hard these days, Ieiri?”
”The young ones keep me busy. That one especially.” Shoko said to her friend as she shook her head.
“Oh?” He inquired curiously. He was very interested in the cute little omega.
”That little beta is quite reckless. This time it's fractured ribs, last month I could barely recognize her, she was beaten so badly that she looked half dead. I’m surprised she made a full recovery, honestly. But.. that girl was the sole reason her team came back without any casualties from a special grade curse mission that they had no business fighting to begin with.” Shoko paused and smiled softly to herself.
‘Beta? Her scent was quite subtle, even for a beta but full of the sweetness only an omega can carry. Besides, she responded well when I used my scent to calm her earlier. There’s no way she is a beta. But if she can fool Nanami and Ieiri, she’s no doubt has fooled the other members of the school. Heh. What a clever little omega.’ He smirked proudly to himself. He was proud to know that the little, barely trained wolf was fiercely protective to the point of sacrificing her own precious life for others. ‘Reckless, indeed though. That little one must have a stubborn streak like no other to persevere in such a battle when all her comrades could no longer fight. Hmm. Brave, talented, and brilliant enough to figure out how to conceal her secondary gender. I’m liking you more and more Y/n L/n.’ He really was very curious about this girl. Gojo rarely got curious about anything but something about this omega really caught his attention.
“Heh, you’ll end up working yourself into an early retirement with that one.” He joked.
“Hopefully not too early. I gave that beta enough tranquilizers to last her 2 whole weeks.”
“So those antibiotics?”
“Yup, that’s right. They were sedatives.” She beamed at her friend.
“How naughty, Ieiri.” He was chuckled, though he was actually pretty shocked with his former teammate.
“Don’t give me that. If I hadn’t, surely that child would be back here within the week. I have a lot of work to do and if I can make a preemptive strike to stop her from ending up back in here with even worse damage, then I will.” She ranted.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You made it to your room with much effort, collapsing on your bed as gently as you could while hissing in pain. Thankfully you had been able to avoid meeting any of your friends on your way here.
“Fuck… even breathing hurts.” You truly were in too much pain and shock to actually deal with people at the moment. Pain for obvious reasons but shock due to the way your body reacted to your best friend's sensei.
`What the fuck even happened? I’ve never met such an intimidating alpha before. He made my body just go haywired. I went from scared to panicked to dizzy to calm and then docile. What the actual fuck… is that how most omega’s act around True Alpha?’ There were no other True Alpha at this school. True alpha’s were extremely rare. They were born as Alpha’s and so they are one and the same with their wolf. They were usually considered to be a bit on the unhinged side due that since a wolf is the rawest, primal part of an individual. Of course, they didn’t go through ruts until they were physically mature but when they did, it was said to be more intense than that of a regular alpha. They were naturally stronger and more advanced than any other Alpha as well as mask their scents at will. ‘And Gojo sits on the very top of them all. Well at least, that’s what everyone was told.’
You decided to put those thoughts away for the moment and decided you needed a shower. You were dreading it, it’ll definitely take a lot of effort. Sighing, you dragged yourself off the bed with a whimper then headed to the bathroom.
Your shower took a bit longer than expected but it was successful. You were super tired but even more so, you were hungry. Grabbing your phone, you send a quick text to Yuji.
You: Itadori! I have been released! I just barely escaped clutches of death! :D
Yuji: Y/n-chan! What was the verdict? Will you survive the night? :O
You: Unlikely… But if a brave knight brings me sustenance, there is hope!
Yuji: Roger!
You chuckled at that. You knew he would happily get you something to eat since he was your best friend. While you waited, you dressed yourself in a plain satin nightgown that buttoned up. There was no way you would be lifting your arms above your head for a while to put on any other type of clothing. You arrange a few pillows on your bed to prop yourself upright then you sit down and grab your laptop, browsing for a movie. There was a knock at your door about 30 minutes later.
“It’s open!” You shouted and the door opened to reveal two men.
“We come bearing nourishments, my lady.”  Itadori stated with a bad old English accent and it made you giggle.
“Why thank you, good sir.” You smile and place your palm over your heart, careful not to actually touch your chest and bow your head to him.
Both boys entered the room and closed the door behind them. They took a spot on either side of you then opened the bag of food, pulling out a few different trays from your favorite restaurant and placing them in front of the laptop.
“How are you feeling Y/n-chan?” Megumi asked you while you guys began to eat.
“Not terrible, but breathing does hurt a tad bit.” You chuckled to yourself. Itadori turned to you with watery eyes apologized again for hurting you. You poked his cheek with your finger and gave a fake angry look.
”Oh cut it out, it was my fault that I got hurt and you know it. I’m the one who’s sorry for cutting our training time short but guess you finally beat me. It sucks though,  Shoko-san has effectively grounded me for the next 2 weeks.” You huff before pouting.
”It’s a good thing. No one is more danger prone than you, Y/n-chan.” The dark haired one chimed in.
”Hey! Rude! I am not danger prone! Tell him, Itadori-kun!” You turned your head to your best friend for backup. He avoided your gaze and started whistling nervously.
Your mouth dropped open and you smacked his hand.
“Traitor!” You yelled and the both of you laughed while the alpha rolled his eyes at your antics.
The rest of the night finished with the boys cleaning up and leaving after helping you adjust yourself into a laying down position and you taking your medicine. You have to admit,  the painkiller really helped. In less than 20 minutes you could feel the pain subsiding into a dull throb. Maybe the antibiotics will help too. You sighed in relief and relaxed into the bed just before sleep overtook you.
__________________________________
It was just after midnight when Gojo Satoru appeared outside the window of your dorm. He slid the glass to the side and jumped onto the windowsill, looking down at your sleeping form. He took a whiff of the room, expecting to be engulfed in her scent but he immediately frowned. It smelled disgustingly of his young alpha pseudo son and his newer beta student. Both male scents were stale but having it around the one he was interested in, in her space and over powering your scent did irritate him.
A low grumble emitted from his throat. He was not pleased in the slightest. Though none of those children posed a real threat, he couldn’t hide the displeasure on his face. ‘I came here to explore her scent more. Not to be bombarded by the scents of inferior males.’ He wrinkled his nose in disgust. He could still smell the little one on the bed but it was still quite weak. Especially given the fact that this is your bedroom, your scent should be strongest in here but it was not. He glanced around the room and noticed how bare it was, but he was taken aback to see the lack of a nest.
‘How strange. Even if she was pretending to be a beta, an omega without a nest is an unstable thing.’
Shaking his head, he crept down onto the bed and sat down with his legs folded at the end of the bed. He slid off his glasses and peered at the sleeping silhouette before him. He could smell better now that he was this close to you.
“Hmm…” Still he was displeased. He wanted to see your face right now and from his position, he could not.Satoru moved to lay beside you, resting his head on his fist to prop him up. He stared at the unconscious little omega.
“You are pretty enough. A solid 8.5.” He said to no one as he took in your facial features. Your eyelashes were exceptionally long, kissing your cheeks, your lips were a pretty rosy color and your h/c hair cascaded around you in waves, giving you an angelic image.
“Yes, definitely pretty enough.” He nodded to himself. Focusing on the reason for his visit, the alpha reached out and grabbed the blanket that covered your body, pulling it down to your waist. He was distracted momentarily by how big your breasts were. Your sleep shirt had the first 3 buttons undone, revealing your impressive cleavage. It was hypnotizing to watch your chest rise and fall with each breath and it was almost  tempting to touch her. But Gojo was better than some low level scum. He had way more control than that. He wouldn’t take advantage of an injured omega.
Ignoring her body, he sat up fully near her face then reached down to tilt your head in his direction and pulled the collar of her dress aside. Without another thought, he brought his head down to her delicate neck and took a deep inhale of you scent, straight from the source. Your scent gland.
The white hair man’s eyes flew open in utter shock. She was sweet, no doubt there, even more so than he originally could pick up earlier. She smelled like a honey crisp apple. He licked his lips, Y/n smelled delicious to him. Sweet and with a slight tartness to it but that was all which was odd. Usually there was a mixture of things that made up a person’s unique scent.
“Wait-”
There was something else, something wrong. Something chemical. His eyes narrowed in suspicion and buried his nose further into your neck. Careful not to touch you beyond that in fear of hurting you, he gripped the bed sheets around you and inhaled again deeply. ‘Hmm. Actually, there are quite a few chemicals.’ It took all of 30 seconds for his brain to pinpoint exactly what was polluting this little omega’s scent. The sorcerer sighed and leaned away from you in realization.
“Suppressants. And damn good ones at that.”
‘Little girl, how naughty you’ve been. Taking suppressants is very illegal. Though, you must have good connections to get such a high quality drug. Not only are they suppressing your second gender, but it also seems like something this refined is also giving you a false scent of a beta as a cover.’ He thought to himself after sitting up. Regular suppressants were nowhere near this well crafted and would have been easily detected by a jujutsu sorcerer. Essentially, it would never have gotten past Nanam, let alone Ieiri.
‘Heh. I would have never guessed that a student could get her hands on black market drugs. How intriguing you are, little wolf. Much more intriguing than I originally thought.’ He thought to himself as he admired your beauty.
“You seem to be really enjoying the life you have now. It's a shame that I’m going to end up destroying it.” He grinned wickedly, tucking a few strands of hair behind your ear.
“I just don’t think I’ll be able to let you go.” He stroked her cheek lovingly before. His eyes glinted with a new formed obsession.

ᝰ.ᐟ NCT DREAM as The 1975 songs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: this is my first group as songs post, but i'm planning on doing more for other groups too! if anyone has requests, please don't be afraid and send them in my inbox! <3
also i would like to add that in this post there may be mentions of toxicity, BUT i have no intention saying that person is toxic.
please, enjoy! <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ MARK as Then Because She Goes.
The song is specifically a dreamy, romantic anthem for someone who wants to confess their love. The rhythm and the lyrics perfectly symbolizes Mark as someone who is in love with music. His feelings are so strong and complex that he finds it easier to fill a paper with his thougths and then write a song about it. He would definately do this, if he feels overwhelmed about his thougths inside his head.
For Mark I would also say She's American and Oh Caroline.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ RENJUN as Fallingforyou.
The song is about a person falling for someone, sharing the persepective of beautiful, harmonic feelings. I think when Renjun loves someone, the happening itself has a soft atmosphere around it, giving the person all he has just to love his partner truthfully and wholely. Renjun would take a moment when he realizes he had fallen in love, soaking in his feelings about his partner and wondering what beautiful things he can do with his other half.
For Renjun I would also say So Far.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ JENO as Somebody Else.
Somebody else lyrically deals with the after-effects of a breakup, and overswing over the idea of the former lover’s new relationship. The song describes being caught between the various emotional phases one experiences after the end of a relationship. Jeno loves dearly, his feelings strong towards someone he loves. He has a hard time letting go his partner, acceptting they had found a new person to call home.Despite the jealousy, deep inside he would feel solace of seeing that his former lover is not lonely.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ HAECHAN as Be My Mistake.
The song mainly focuses on an insignificant hookup during a relationship, or even after one. This reflects on being young and careless, not knowing what we want in real life. Haechan appears to be a bold person, his personality eager with experiences and wants. Haechan being a young free mind, could often get him into not thinking through things, feeling the aftermath of the mistakes he had done. But mistakes often wake people up to realize what they already have. He could make mistakes in life, but in the end, he is that kind of person who appreaciates what he already has.
For Haechan I would also say The Sound and Oh Caroline.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ JAEMIN as About You.
About you is strongly based on the sensations when you are deeply in love. Jaemin's feelings for someone is treasured, his memories documented often in pictures as being a photographer. But as the song tells, the singer describes how he still remembers why he loves his partner. Jaemin would be like this too, going through hardship in a relationship but nevertheless stating the obvious, he is in love. Even if life would get in a way, he wouldn't forget his partner, and why he loves them. Rectracing situations and memories of what made him happy, the things he misses in life.
For Jaemin I would also say All I Need To Hear or You.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ CHENLE as A Change Of Heart and Robbers.
For Chenle I chose two songs. A Change of heart shows the reality about falling out of love, along with Robbers, which shows the toxicity side and how destructive it can be. I think Chenle as being an idol would be too distracting for him to really pay attention to a relationship. Doesn't matter how much he doesn't want to admit, it robs him and his partner from actually having the feeling of love towards each other,realizing that they have much more to experience in life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝄞⨾𓍢ִ໋ JISUNG as Me & You Together Song.
The song is tender, an act of being young and in love. Jisung being the naive and youngster he is, he would fall in love with the idea of being in a domestric bliss with his partner. The song features the dreams and fantasies one has to another, the feelings not reciprocated. I think Jisung has suffered in this in the past, or will in the future. I think the upbeat rythm fits Jisung, the 1990s and early 2000s vibe naturally drawn to him. The song has a nostalgic feeling to it, and I think this song is what it would be like remembering back to Jisung after a breakup.

Hii! Hope you’re having a great day :D
I was thinking about Law with a tall male reader who looks very intimidating. everyone thinks that he is the top in the relationship but Law is the one who actually tops/? Like his s/o looks like a top but is actually a pillow princess. ;)
You can take this as a request or not if you want :3
Trafalgar D. Water Law x Tall male reader
Headcanons
Tumblr media
Guten Abend everyone, still getting dragged over the studying coals, but fuck it we ball.
No outright smut in this one, mainly just focusing on their relationship since im exhausted, but I hope its still enjoyable.
In the One Piece universe, being tall can mean a lot of things. Being taller than Law just means you have to be somewhere over 6 ft 5, or taller, if that’s what you prefer. Being intimidating isn’t too hard either, especially if you are a fellow pirate.
Seeing you two together can be a little off-putting to the people around you, at least the ones that aren’t part of your crew, who know you two on a more personal level.
No one would dare to make assumptions in the beginning of a meeting, since Law already has quite the reputation, and either your scary aura or your own dangerous reputation makes people shut up. They might have ideas to themselves, but they wouldn’t verbalize it.
It probably comes up during an afterparty of some kind, after you guys have defeated the baddie of the week and you’re all kicking back. Since Law isn’t a big fan of drinking, you would end up being the one getting tipsy out of the two of you.
At some point during the night, Kidd or others who are more comfortable with you two, would start making jabs or ask questions, as one does when you get wasted. It becomes clear pretty damn quick though, that everyone thinks that Law is the one who bottoms.
Law isn’t the type to out your guy’s bedroom life, but I could still imagine him asking, in a bit of a tense tone, why they think that. That’s when you guys get the explanation from your allies and friends. But it all boils down to you being taller, bigger, scarier and with a stronger presence. So, it just made sense to them.
It gets a bit of a laugh from you, and you can tell from the tension in Laws jaw that it gets on his nerves, maybe even hurting his ego a little. But you also know your lover wouldn’t verbalize those thoughts, not wanting to admit something like an assumption of his bedroom role would hit him in any way.
When you guys get back to the polar tang, one would assume Law would drag you off to the bedroom to show you and him that your friends and allies’ assumptions were wrong. But Law is also a doctor, so he wouldn’t want to do such a thing when you’re drunk.
Instead, he gets some water in you, gets you something to eat, helps you get washed down if that’s what you need, and then the two of you conk out in bed, Law the big spoon even if you are taller. Hes like your tattooed backpack, if the height difference is big enough.
Law doesn’t end up making a move on you in the morning either if you suffer from hangovers, instead your lover would make sure you were alright, and get you something for the hangover if its bad enough. His ego may have been wounded a little, but he’s a respectful guy, especially to you as his lover.
That evening, or the day after though, you’re all his, not that you mind though. Seeing as all your crewmates are most likely still out partying or suffering from hangovers, you two have the polar tang all to yourself.
As you enjoy laying back and receiving pleasure without doing much in return, Law gets to do most of the work. He doesn’t need the same in return, as giving you pleasure is satisfying for him. Being in charge would feel quite nice for him, as it allows him to have an eye on the entire situation and what’s going on.
Law would definitely also use his devil fruit power when you guys are together, since it would make it easier for the both of you, and with his devil fruit he’s able to reach parts of you no one else can.
In the end, people you meet, and probably most of your friends and allies, think you are the top still, but Law wouldn’t mind too much after you show him that you don’t think lesser of him or let other people’s assumptions bother you or your relationship.

prologue — eight lives later! ౨ৎ⭑˚ word count; >1k
You died.
You feel the impact before you hear the gunshot. A sharp, searing pain tears through your chest like fire spreading through your body. The chaos of modern warfare surrounds you—vibrating explosions, the rumbling of rifles, and the constant murmur of drones. You’re one of thousands. A faceless statistic in a war of shifting fronts and political ambitions. Merely a soldier sent to fight for a cause you barely understand. After your death, your country will replace you ten times over and then ten times more. Each body a cog in an unfeeling machine.
The moment feels weird, as if it has been pulled from the pages of a dream, except you know—you know—this is the end. You lie dying on a grassy field, far from the main warzone. It hasn’t been the ‘enemy’ that caused you to run across the open streets. It wasn’t the orders barking through your earpiece or the desperate cries of your comrades.
No. It was a cat.
Your final act of rebellion was focused solely on rescuing the tiny bit of humanity left in the desecrated city. In a world that has taken so much from you, perhaps it was time to give this small creature the chance you never got. The kitten is small, dirty, and terrified. Its tiny frame trembles as it meows helplessly in the chaos. Artillery pounds the earth, drones buzz like mechanical insects, and gunfire split echoes in your ears. With rapid shots tearing through the streets and your radio spitting orders to regroup, your legs move on instinct. You dart past the ruins of cars, decaying walls, and flying shrapnel. Like a drug, adrenaline pumps through your veins as you scoop up the cat and cradle it in your arms.
As you dash through the ruined landscape, you feel hands grasping at your feet. Soldiers, either too wounded or mindfucked, cry out for salvation that you can’t offer. You run past them, their voices heavy on your soul. But you keep running—towards the outskirts, where the fighting isn’t as intense—where there’s a chance the kitten can escape the horrors of humankind. However, just as you think you’ve made it, you feel it—the bullet tearing through your body.
Your knees buckle as the force sends you crashing, the kitten still cradled in your arms. The world around you spins. Your heartbeat thunders in your ears, faster and faster, as the warmth of your blood soaks into your uniform and spreads across the grass beneath you. You gasp for air, but it won’t come. The pain in your chest is unbearable, burning with every shallow breath.
You try to move, try to keep going, but your body is failing you. Rolling onto your back, your eyes gaze upon the strikingly blue sky. It’s strangely devoid of clouds and fighter jets. By now, the gunfire and explosions are faint. A vague memory, even. It’s like the war itself is retreating from you. Yet, you can still hear it. Bated screams in the distance, clashing with the rustling of leaves and the soft meows of the kitten.
The last feeling—the last sensation of kindness you feel before drifting off to an eternal slumber is the soft brush of fur nudging your tear-strained cheek. Then, just before everything goes dark, you hear it—a voice, delicate and clear.
“Thank you,” the kitten says—or does it? Perhaps it’s a hallucination brought on by your fading consciousness. But no, you feel sure, if only for that single instant.
Then, there’s nothing. Your final breath leaves you with the warmth of the cat’s nuzzle lingering on your cheek. You died.
Or so you thought.
When your eyes open again, you aren’t greeted with the battlefield. Your body isn’t lying on the cold, blood-stained grass. You’re in a hospital bed. It's clean. Sterile. The sharp beeping of monitors replaces the din of war, and the scent of antiseptic fills your nostrils. You blink, disoriented, and that’s when you see him. A man—tall, composed, and black-haired. He holds a file in one hand and a pen in the other as he stands at your bedside. His name tag glistens in the fluorescent light. Zayne. When he notices you stirring alive, his face dances between surprise and something else. Something hard to decipher.
“You’re awake.” Zayne glances at your file. He squints to confirm your identity. “I’m Dr. Zayne, and you’ll be under my care for the foreseeable future,” he finishes.
The room around you is strange yet familiar. You try to make sense of it—the stark white walls, the quiet thrum of machines, the feathery sensation of your body. You were on the battlefield. You had died. And yet, you’re still here. Alive. In some new reality where the boundaries of love and deepspace collide.

summary: while doing her best to rebuild the tribe, the Chief struggles to determine what is really best for her people. however, she hopes that the return of her friends will allow her to see things in a clearer view
~ part of the fire lilies series ~
Tumblr media
After a long day of teaching, you find yourself locked away in your office looking over proposals for the Reconstruction Project. Your head aches from the hours you’ve spent assessing paperwork and writing notes of your own about Hakoda’s new proposal. Things seem to be going well for the most part, your tribe is growing stronger with every passing day, but there’s still much to be done.
It’s been three months since you last visited the Fire Nation and helped Zuko find the missing children, and since returning home all of your attention has been focused on the needs of your people. You’re doing all you can to be the leader your father would want you to be and your tribe needs you to be, but the reconstruction process has made this a much more difficult task.
A gentle knock on your office door breaks you from your thoughts and brings you back to the present, refocusing your attention on the papers sprawled out before you. “Come in.”
“Chief y/n,” Hakoda greets you cordially before gently shutting the door behind him. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything.”
“No, of course not, I was just reviewing the proposal you and Malina submitted.”
“And?” He asks with a hopeful glint in his eye. You simply sigh, carefully rubbing your temple in thought before grabbing the papers from your desk and handing them back to him.
“I don’t think I can approve the construction of these plans,” you admit guiltily. “I know there’s an oil deposit here that could be beneficial to the growth of our tribe if used correctly, but can you assure me that will be the case once it’s built? Can you assure me it won’t have any negative impact on our wildlife or our people or our way of life? Can you assure me that it won’t cause tension between us and our sister tribe?”
“I… I can’t promise you any of that,” Hakoda admits with a sigh. “But isn’t taking chances part of making change? This oil could help build machines and make our way of life easier.”
“I’ve heard how some of the Notherners speak of us. I gave Maliq an earful the last time I caught him talking down to my men, and I don’t believe his intentions with this project consider the South’s best interests. Our people don’t deserve just fancy machinery and modern technology, they deserve dignity and respect. At this moment in time I’m not comfortable moving forward with the oil rigs. My answer is no.”
“I understand,” your advisor relents with a disappointed sigh. “I’ll inform Malina and Maliq of your response, and I’ll work hard to make sure we can show you that this project will be worthwhile.”
“Thank you, Hakoda. Now, onto less serious matters,” you note with a faint smile. “Based on the letter I received Katara and Sokka should be arriving tomorrow, and in two days I’ll be hosting a celebration in honor of their return. I can count on you to be there?”
“Of course, but… you won’t mention anything of Malina will you?” He asks hesitantly. “I should be the one to tell them.”
“I don’t like keeping secrets from friends, but I also know that this is a family matter, so you have my word,” you assure him. He thanks you and bids you goodnight before departing from your office, and once again you are all alone.
“What am I going to do?” You sigh, eyes straining as you try looking over the plans again. Change has been necessary to keep your tribe growing and your people strong, but you worry that perhaps there’s been too much change. The only thing that’s really stayed the same is the palace, but even now it feels out of place amongst all the modern buildings and structures. The Southern Water Tribe feels too Northern, and you worry your people are beginning to lose their identity.
Nothing makes sense anymore, but you hope that with the arrival of your friends will come a clearer view on the future ahead.
You can only hope for the best.
~~~
The South is bustling with activity as you usher in your students for the day’s lesson. Your class is reasonably small, made up of only about ten attendees and only two of them being originally from the South. Those two were the most resistant to your lessons, but you did your best to be as understanding of their hesitancy as possible. You too understood the trauma and fear that came with being forced to hide your bending once the war broke out in the South, and some people were still getting used to the fact that there was no longer any danger to run from.
“Good morning my little koala otters,” you greet cheerfully. “I hope you all are well rested and ready for today’s lesson.”
“Excuse me,” a voice calls, bringing your attention to the doorway, “do you have room for another student?”
You nearly collapse from the excitement that fills you at the sight of your two friends standing in the doorway with Master Pakku in tow ready to take over classes for you. You almost trip over your own feet as you rush towards the siblings and throw your arms around them in the tightest hug imaginable.
“Sokka, Katara! I’m so happy to see you guys,” you exclaim with a tearful smile before pulling away. “I can’t believe you’re back already.”
“It’s great to see you again, y/n,” Katara agrees, a content look on her face, “and it’s good to be home, even though it does look… different.”
“I know, it is a bit much,” you admit with an uncomfortable laugh, “but the people seem to like it, and your father thinks a modern look is just what our tribe needs.“
“Is our dad a great advisor or what?” Sokka asks Katara, a prideful smile on his face.
“He certainly has been a great help. Thanks to him and the construction crew from the North I’ve been able to focus on my bending school and more of the social affairs around the South. Having more time to connect with my people helps me be the best Chief I can and make sure I’m making the right choices for them.”
“Speaking of the construction crew,” Katara interrupts with a sour look on her face. “I caught them trying to attack little kids who were playing near a construction site.”
“It was just a misunderstanding, Katara,” Sokka reasons with a dismissive wave of his hand. “Besides, you kicked their butts anyway!”
“That’s terrible,” you express with a worried frown. “I’ll have to have a word with Malina about her crew; they won’t be welcomed here any longer if they keep this sort of behavior up. I won’t have outsiders tormenting my people.”
“This Malina… do you trust her?”
“Why do you ask?” You say, trying to feign obliviousness. You certainly don’t want to get in the middle of anything, but it’s hard having to lie to someone who’s been there for you through thick and thin.
“Well, we’re supposed to have dinner tonight with my dad, and her and her brother Maliq will be joining us. But I’m not really sure if I trust her,” Katara admits sullenly. “Something doesn’t feel right about them.”
“You just have to give her a chance. Anyone who can come up with cool designs like that can’t be all that bad,” her brother argues much to her annoyance.
“You only like her because she’s feeding you,” she grumbles indignantly.
“Look, I think you should speak to your father. He spends more time with her than I do, and he’ll be able to explain things much better than I probably could. The only thing I can tell you both is to keep your schedules open because tomorrow night I’ll be hosting a celebration in your honor!”
“What? You don’t have to do that!” Katara exclaims in surprise.
“Of course I do. You’re Southern heroes, you saved the world by helping the Avatar and you saved our tribe when you helped me defeat Koa,” you explain adamantly. “We’re having the party, and as Chief I demand your presence.”
“You’ve let the power go to your head, haven’t you?” Sokka accuses jokingly. “Don’t worry, y/n, we’ll be there.”
“Good,” you smile, pleased at getting your way. “We’re all going to have a wonderful time and everything is going to work itself out. These things just take time.”
“I guess you’re right,” Katara murmurs, but you can still detect the uncertainty in her features.
“Listen, why don’t you both come by tomorrow after my lessons are over? I can give you a grand tour of the new and improved Southern Water Tribe!” You suggest eagerly. “Your opinions matter too, and I want as much input as possible about how to improve our home for everyone.”
“That sounds nice,” she admits with a meek smile. “Maybe that’s what we need, a chance to settle into life back home.”
“Perfect! I’m excited to show you our procgress!”
While Katara appreciates your enthusiasm, she still doesn’t feel right about Malina or the changes made in the South. It doesn’t really feel like home anymore; it’s so different from how life once was. For your sake she’ll try to give it a chance, but as of now it seems it’ll take a lot more than her father’s reassurance to convince her that these changes are for the best.
But she hopes that maybe you’re right, maybe these things just take time, and maybe once time has passed it’ll feel like normal again.
She can only hope.
~~~
“After we finished rebuilding the outer tribes, we began our work on the royal plaza. It’s now become the main center for commerce, diplomacy, and unity. The local businesses that have opened here have been massively successful, and the square is constantly bustling with activity.”
Katara feels overwhelmed by the whirlwind of information you throw at her as you guide her and Sokka through the brand new royal village. You’re right about it always being busy- people rush by your trio to start their work for the day or bargain for the latest deals at the merchant stands. They look happy, content, and out of place. The people don’t match the towering buildings around them, and they surely don’t look like the same people she’d left behind a few years ago.
“And everyone is happy with the changes?” She asks curiously.
“Well, some were resistant to the change, so I tried to be as accommodating as possible. Those who didn’t want new homes were allowed to keep their original huts, and I didn’t force the outer tribes to merge with the royal village. I gave them the autonomy to govern their own affairs so long as it doesn’t interfere with the overall success of the tribe, but they’re still required to report to me at least once a month about their progress and request aid if needed.”
“So it’s kind of like the Earth Kingdom in a way?” Sokka points out indeterminately. “You‘ve established cities while still keeping the palace as the center point of the tribe.”
“I guess that’s true,” you note thoughtfully at his observation. “Father said I’d gain the knowledge needed to lead by traveling the world, so I’m using the knowledge I’ve gained for the benefit of my people.”
“I hate to burst your burble, Princess, but I don’t think everything’s as perfect as you say it is,” the boy says with a frown. Faltering, you slow yourself to a stop and turn to face the siblings. Their features are riddled with apprehension, and you’re not sure what to make of it.
“What do you mean, Sokka? Is there something you don’t like about the changes? Is there something I should be doing better?” You ask, fretful over the idea of not living up to the expectations placed upon you as leader.
“No, no, I think you’re doing a great job, honest. It’s just… well, some people aren’t happy about the Northerners being here.”
“Last night Malina was attacked at dinner, and we were forced to chase after these kids that stole Maliq’s briefcase,” Katara begins to explain, lowering her voice to ensure no one can overhear your conversation. “We followed them to the abandoned Fire Nation shipwreck and discovered a series of tunnels underneath.”
“There was an entire group of Southerners down there led by Gilak, a warrior who fought alongside our fathers against the Fire Nation,” Sokka continues, and you can only hang on to every word. You feel ashamed to know that this has been going on without your knowledge, and it’s almost as if you’ve failed in a sense. You’re Chief, it’s your job to know of things like this, and yet you’re having to find out about it through your friends. “They’re not happy about our sister tribe’s presence here in the South.”
“I understand some of the Northerners can be a bit blunt and unpleasant at times, but I didn’t think it was this bad,” you admit with a disappointed frown. “What did they tell you?”
“He said he understood that at first it was necessary for you to bring in people from the North to help restore bending to our tribe because it would make us stronger,” Sokka explains as he recalls the awkward encounter. “But now he thinks my dad is going overboard with all the people he’s brought in to help us rebuild.”
“He says we’re becoming a cheap imitation of the North,” Katara murmurs thoughtfully, and by the look on her face it seems as if she agrees with the sentiment.
“What else did Galik say?”
“They want to eradicate the presence of foreigners and are prepared to go to war to do so,” Sokka says sullenly, not exactly enjoying having to break this news to you. “He says we have to get rid of the Northerners before they take advantage of you.”
“Of me?” You retort in bewilderment. You definitely didn’t expect that to come out Sokka’s mouth. Katara then places a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“Galik and his followers believe that your relationship with Zuko- an outsider- has made you too trusting of foreigners. He thinks the Northerners are taking advantage of this trust to worm their way into the affairs of the South.”
“He compared our father to Koa,” Sokka spits irately, still fuming at the memory. “He thinks he’s abusing his position as advisor to go behind your back and make all these changes.”
“That’s not true at all!” You exclaim in disbelief. “Spirits, this has all gotten so out of hand. What am I to do?”
“Hey, don’t worry, we’re going to figure it out. Our dad is already investigating the matter as we speak,” your friend assures you, doing his best to alleviate your worry. “You’re doing great, Chief.”
You give him a meek smile at his encouragement, but his words do little to quell your anxieties. The last thing you want is a civil war to break out between your tribes, but at this point it’s starting to feel inevitable. You just hope Hakoda can put a stop to this before it gets too out of hand.
“Y/n, could I speak to you alone?” Katara asks suddenly much to the surprise of her brother.
“Of course. We’ll have to finish our tour another time, Sokka,” you tell the water tribe boy with an apologetic smile. Turning to his sister, you gesture for her to follow. “There’s something I want to show you.”
You weave your way through the village and back towards the palace square. The towering buildings slowly fade away the further you go, and the air here is more peaceful and serene with the absence of all the merchants and people. After a while you finally reach your stop, allowing Katara a moment to take in the building before her.
“What is this place?” She asks in awe, admiring the pristine marble work of the pillars lining the structure.
“Let’s go inside,” you suggest with a careful smile before ushering her toward. Immediately she’s greeted with a vast expanse of artifacts, artwork, literature, and more. Each section has its own label and scroll of information detailing the importance of the different exhibits, and Katara figures it would probably take hours to look through everything.
“This is incredible. Did you do all of this?”
“This was one of the first buildings I commissioned as Chief,” you recount with a proud smile. “The South lost so much because of the war, and I didn’t want anyone to forget all that we’d been through and all we’d done to survive. This museum holds every piece of history of the Southern Water Tribe, and I hope it can be used to educate others about our strength and resilience.”
“I want the South to grow, Katara. I want us to connect with others, to live in harmony with the other Nations. I want people from all over the world to visit the South and learn about our culture. Is it really so naive of me to have such hope?”
“No, I guess not,” Katara admits guiltily. “Y/n, the reason I wanted to speak to you alone was because I- well, because Malina and my father are together, and I’m not sure how to feel. She’s nothing like my mother, and I don’t think she’s good enough for my dad.”
“I know what it’s like to lose a parent,” you note faintly, absently brushing your fingers against your tiger shark tooth necklace. “I couldn’t imagine how I’d feel if my mother began to see someone else. But if it were to happen, I’d know that I’d just have to trust my mother’s judgement. Just like you have to trust your father’s.”
“It’s easier said than done,” Katara says with a huff. You merely give her a comforting smile and pull her figure into a hug.
“Just give it a chance. She doesn’t have to replace your mother, she never will, but it doesn’t hurt to get to know her. I think tonight’s festival would be the perfect opportunity, don’t you think?”
“Maybe you’re right,” she says with sigh, appreciating your comfort and wisdom. She’s glad to have you, and she knows you feel the same.
You part from your hug and give her a reassuring smile. “I have to head back to the palace now for a meeting with your father and the Northern siblings, but please feel free to stay in here as long as you’d like.”
She watches you depart from the room before turning her attention to the portrait before her. The image depicts a family from before the war, the mother and daughter brushing the animal pelts while the father and son cook freshly caught fish over the fire. They look happy, and Katara begins to feel her chest ache.

It’s a peaceful day in the Fire Nation as Zuko sits in the gardens and enjoys a cup of tea with his Uncle. It’s certainly been a stressful past few years, so he’s learned to enjoy calm and quiet moments like these where he can finally stop to catch his breath.
A servant approaches the table and bows in respect before offering the Fire Lord a scroll. “This just arrived from the South, sir.”
“Thank you,” he says, taking the scroll before dismissing the servant.
“A letter from the Princess?” Iroh asks with a curious smile, and based on the longing look that plays upon Zuko’s features as he reads the letter, the general confirms his guess to be correct.
“My love, I hope things in the Fire Nation are running smoothly. As you know, Hakoda has invited you for a conference that is to occur in just a few days. However, I’m hosting a celebration tomorrow for Katara and Sokka’s return home, and I would love for you to arrive early and attend! I hope to see you soon, Zuko. Yours truly, y/n.”
Smiling faintly, Zuko tucks the scroll away before looking to his Uncle. “Would you be able to look after things for a few extra days while I’m gone? It appears I’ll be taking my leave to the South earlier than expected.”
“Of course, nephew,” Iroh smiles cordially. “I would like nothing more than to allow you the chance to relax and enjoy some time with your beloved. Please do give the Princess my best.”
“Thank you, Uncle,” the Fire Lord says before excusing himself from the table and heading inside to prepare for his departure.
After months of waiting, Zuko is finally going to be reunited with the one he loves most.

Can I request a scenario where darling knew young Sephiroth and she likes to tease him for being shorter than her. They part ways due to their work, but meet again after several years.
But this time, darling is surprised by how tall Sephiroth is, like waaaay taller than her and now he enjoys teasing her back.
Tumblr media
The Ever Cutie and his big sister/nee-san darling prompt? On my birthday!? 💜 Let's get right into this.
Tumblr media
You've known Sephiroth since you were both little kids, with you being four years older. You two were allowed to occasionally play with each other.
Your mother, a dedicated scientist, played a crucial role in the development of the new generation of SOLDIER. Among the subjects, Sephiroth stood out, she had been studying him a lot with other scientists.
Sephiroth's deep attachment to you had grown to such an extent that he had even once secretly followed you and your mother home after your playdate. He vanished from the building without a trace, leaving everyone wondering how he did it. Your mother got so much in trouble for it when she returned him.
It's a funny incident that the two of you and everyone around you loved reminiscing about as time goes on.
You knew from an early age that Sephiroth lacked normalcy in his life, so you do your best to introduce it to him, whenever you can.
During lunch times, you indulged him with your secret stashes of candies and other treats, while also introducing him to games like hide and seek, that evoked his hunting instincts from his training. (You had to get him out of that mindset when it was time to play)
After Sephiroth has shown so much promise, the older generation of SOLDIERS started to get phased out, them mostly being gone by your teens.
You yourself were offered a mentorship role for Sephiroth and other new SOLDIERS because of your mother. Nepotism for the win, right?
By the virtue of being older than him AND an early bloomer, you just had to poke fun at Sephy and his height when you hit your teens. In your eyes, he will always be your sweet little brother.
His habit of bumping into you due to the height difference always made him so flushed and flustered, especially when you tease him about it.
During your late teens, it was a little easier to give him some normalcy by inviting him over to your apartment for dinner and other activities, as you had more opportunities to do so. You definitely weren't responsible for his love of lasagna. Nope.
One unforgettable day, etched in your memory, was when his eyes sparkled with joy as he noticed the change in your eye color. ou were happy that you finally got your mako injections, and to your relief, your body adapted well to them. You had to show Sephiroth your new mako eyes.
Unbeknownst to you, this brought him comfort, as he realized he now shared a resemblance to a loved one. It made him feel like he belonged. Like he can actually be your younger brother.
Later on, your time together became less as Sephiroth trained and you focused on your own growth as a SOLDIER and a mentor those younger than you.
After Sephiroth deployed to Rhadore, you saw little to none of him in the following years. You were both sad, but also understood your separation was necessary for your duties.
During a mission briefing years later, you couldn't believe your eyes when you saw your sweet little brother, who had an unusual growth spurt. You knew he changed greatly, but it was still a whiplash from the young boy he once was.
From a distance, it appeared as though he had not only grown a whole foot taller, but had also let his silver hair grow out, it now nearly reaching his ankles. His physique had become more muscular, and he had become the most famous person in the entire world.
It was impossible for you not to feel a sense of pride for him.
But there's no way he'd recognize you after everything that's happened to him in the past years.
Yet after the briefing, you heard someone unexpectedly call your name. As you turned around, your eyes met his strapped, muscular chest.
Without any warning, his eyes lit up mischievously, transforming his surprise into a playful expression.
"You're shorter than I remembered, darling."
Your face turned red and pouty.
"I'm not short! You're just too tall now!" You said, as you playfully hit his chest.
You were wearing heels and somehow Sephiroth STILL towered over you.
Without warning, you pulled him into a heartfelt hug afterward, your tears of joy trailing down his chest.
He seemed taken aback by the sudden hug as his hands hovered around your waist, but he secretly appreciated it.
You two had little time to catch up, as Sephiroth had to deploy for his next mission. But the memory of this reunion will be enough to hold him over until next time you two meet...
Tumblr media
By the way, it may just be me, but Young EC Sephy doesn't seem that particularly short going by his battle model. Anyways, I love this AU and wouldn't mind working on it more for EC/7R verse.

Hi Sarah (or Sara? I remember you discussing the h but don't remember which way it's spelled). I hope you're doing well on your break and enjoying September. I have a question - how much schooling did you have to do to become a nurse? I'm considering becoming an elementary school teacher in Norway, which would require me to go back to school for 5 (additional) years. Seems like a long fucking time and i didnt do great the first run tbh. It would be free though. Investment in the future seems like it could pay off, so i guess im looking for inspiration from other ppl who have perhaps made a similar plunge
Hi, anon! I wish I could give you some straight up inspo. Instead, I navel-gazed for a while. Schooling-wise, I already had a (completely unrelated) bachelor's degree so I was able to do an accelerated nursing program after two semesters of community college doing the prereqs. I did struggle in nursing school. College has always been brutal on my mental health and nursing is a hard pivot from my original degree (double major history and english w a concentration in creative writing) (you cannot imagine how many books I read and essays I wrote). It took a little over two years in total.
You don't have to don't have to worry about student debt which is so so wonderful. I didn't have to either, and that's let me be way more adventurous with my life choices. The cost of your education would just ("just") be your time, energy, and the potential money that you could earn by focusing on work instead. I had to stick around in my hometown instead of going traveling with Cyrus. I worked a lot fewer hours than I would if I'd not been in school. I had to miss the live airing of the Jesus Christ Superstar on NBC in order to study for an anatomy test which was genuinely so distressing to me. 2018 was a hell of a year for me. (I aced that test btw. It was such an improvement over my previous test my teacher emailed me a congratulations note with twelve exclamation points.)
All of this while people were constantly talking about how shitty it is to be a nurse and how so many of them leave the field within six months. (Similar to teaching in that way, at least in America.) I was doing work I didn't enjoy for a job I might not stick with. There were a lot of times I resented nursing school for interfering with my life.
I'm still very glad I did it. My degree gave me a lot. On the very practical side, my degree has given me more financial freedom and a much higher earning potential. On the idealistic level, my degree has enabled me to do work that I find meaningful. The work touches a lot of things that I find interesting. My nursing degree has benefited my life, regardless of if I stay in nursing for the rest of my career or move on to something new. I didn't like getting my degree, but I don't regret that I got it.
Maybe it'll go way easier for you, maybe it won't be worth it. When I thought about becoming a nurse, it felt like my life plan clicked into place because it ticked every single need I had for a job. I didn't know if it would work out, but the rewards outweighed the risks. More than that, it was the first plan I had for my future that made me excited. I liked the life I pictured if I was a nurse. I've found that excitement to be rare and precious. If teaching gives you that, I'd strongly consider pursuing it.
Besides, you can always use my last-line defense against school despair: being like "fuck it I'm gonna drop out after this semester" and then keep not doing that. You can bail on stuff! It's rad.

The Nanny
The morning of the most important day in Soarynn's life feels like a normal morning. She wakes up next to Coriolanus whose arms are wrapped around her as if she might fall off the bed in the middle of the night, his nose buried in the crook of her neck because he's never been too fond of personal space.
She doesn't mind it though, waking up next to someone who loves her is still something she's getting used to.
Waking up next to the man she's going to marry is another thing entirely.
The day Coriolanus proposed to her was the single happiest day of her life. Everything had been perfect. Even though she had a large suspicion that he'd propose, he still caught her off guard. It had been private which she appreciated more than he'd ever know.
Soarynn still had never been inside of the greenhouse so on a warm July night, when Coriolanus would normally be in the Control Room with the Gamemakers overseeing the Hunger Games, he finally took her to see it. Soarynn had been speechless when she was finally granted access to the famed greenhouse, amazed at the different colored roses. She had been so focused on the roses that she hadn't even noticed the trail of rose petals leading to the center of the greenhouse where there was a fountain.
Coriolanus had truly gone above and beyond with the proposal, from the soft candlelight to the petals floating in the fountain water to making sure that her nails were done. When Soarynn finally realized what was happening, she was instantly moved to tears, overwhelmed with emotion. He got down on one knee and pulled out a velvet box that held her engagement ring.
He confessed his love for her right then and there, telling her that he'd never been more certain about wanting to spend the rest of his life with someone. He told her how much he valued her, how she made his family a better family, and how it would make him the happiest man alive if she were to marry him.
She said yes.
How could she say no?
There had been tears from both of them as he slipped the beautiful ring on her finger. Soarynn admires the ring right now as the morning sunlight spills into their bedroom. They have a million things to do right now, she has to get ready, get dressed, and make it down the aisle without tripping. Coriolanus being a man has it a little easier but as the President of Panem, he's still got his hands full.
They broke the news of their engagement two days after the Hunger Games ended where surprise, surprise, there was a huge party to celebrate with the tablecloths Soarynn had picked out with Eudora. All of his friends and her friends were there to congratulate them on their engagement and the children were ecstatic. The girls kept running around the ballroom telling everyone that their father was marrying a princess. Even Caspian seemed excited, constantly touching Soarynn's engagement ring.
Soarynn and Coriolanus went on Lucky's television show a few days after the new Hunger Games Victor was interviewed and Lucky asked them all sorts of questions about what the wedding would be like. Coriolanus told him that it would take place in the winter as all Snow weddings do per tradition and Soarynn isn't one to mess with tradition. Certainly not the tradition of the family she's about to marry into.
Lucky also asked about the guest list, making sure he was included, and decided that it would be the wedding of the century. Everyone in the country would be watching today.
A million things could go wrong but Soarynn refuses to be ruled by fear. Today is their day and she's going to enjoy it.
She should probably get up though, she'd like to have some tea before their room becomes a blur of chaos with the children and all of the assistants Eudora has procured to make sure that today goes perfectly. Eudora of course, planned the entire wedding and Soaarynn was there for every step of it. While Coriolanus was busy working, Soarynn was busy planning and looking after the children. He'd suggested hiring a part-time nanny but Soarynn quickly shut that down. She could do both. She could be a wife a mother and the First Lady.
Another daunting task. Marrying Coriolanus meant that Soarynn would now forever be in the public eye. The First Lady of Panem. Over the past four months, Eudora has been preparing Soarynn to take on all of the responsibilities that Livia used to have. This included making numerous public appearances during the week for things like charity events, grand openings, museum galleries, and other things that were important, but not important enough to warrant the President's attendance.
Soarynn would be representing the family and she could not afford to fail.
She honestly didn't know how she'd manage it sometimes, the children, her husband, her appearances. She'd simply have to figure it out as she went along. At least she only had to worry about two of the children for most of the day now that Ceraphian was in school five days a week.
Soarynn would be lying through her teeth if she said that she didn't cry on Ceraphina's first day of school.
She and Coriolanus were newly engaged when they dropped Ceraphina off in front of the Academy's steps. Ceraphina had been so excited to finally go to school. They already met her teacher a few days before and she was smitten by Mrs. McDowell. Soarynn had honestly hoped that she might have some reservations about leaving her family for several hours a day but she gave everyone one final hug before skipping up the steps.
And of course, her assigned bodyguard was right behind her.
Coriolanus had been very adamant about Ceraphina having a bodyguard when she attended school and Soarynn couldn't find it in herself to argue with him, not after what happened in Four. Ceraphina didn't mind Maximus and his constant presence, in fact, she loved it because it meant that she always had someone to talk to.
The issues started when Coriolanus informed Soarynn that she would also be assigned a bodyguard. This information started the biggest argument the couple had ever had.
"I will not be followed around everywhere I go by one of your men," Soarynn had told her, furious that he thought she needed to be constantly watched over like a child.
"My love," he had said, pacing his study when she came to him with the argument, "your safety is of utmost importance. Once we're married, you'll be the second most important person in the country. I'd be a fool to let you walk around without protection. It's not up for discussion darling."
Soarynn had glared daggers at him when hearing his reasoning, "So it's already been decided then? You already discussed this and forgot to include me in the conversation? I don't want to be followed around Coriolanus, I already feel self-conscious as it is."
Their argument had ended with the slamming of doors and the spilling of frustrated tears. Coriolanus had later found Soarynn curled up in bed not wanting to talk to him until he apologized and changed his mind. He apologized but he didn't change his mind and Soarynn was introduced to Grant a few days later, a man dedicated to her safety.
Soarynn hadn't been too sure of Grant in the beginning. He was a quiet man, very reserved, only answering her questions with curt, short answers. He never hovered, never made her feel like she was being watched and he never made her feel uncomfortable. All of those factors made Soarynn feel a little bit better about the whole situation and now she can't remember a time when Grant wasn't following her around.
He'll be at the wedding obviously, scanning through the crowd to make sure that no one poses a threat to the President or his fiance.
Oh, his fiance. Soarynn loved that word, loved using it, loved calling Coriolanus her fiance and she loved it when he called her his fiance.
And before the sun sets tonight, they'll be husband and wife.
She can hardly wait.
Soarynn expertly slips out of her fiance's grip, her feet touch the wood floors a moment later and she quietly pads over to their bedroom doors and cracks them open. As always, an Avox is stationed outside in the hallway. From the time the sun rises to when it sets, there's always an Avox outside of their room, waiting on their beck and call.
"Could I please get some tea?" Soarynn asks, her voice merely a whisper so she doesn't wake up Coriolanus, he got home so late last night, "And some coffee as well?" The Avox nods since that's all they can really do before leaving to go fetch her requested drinks. Coriolanus had been finalizing things for their wedding, making sure all the documents were in order.
It amazed Soarynn how much paperwork was needed when marrying the President of Panem. Things like her birth certificate were to be expected but she was subjected to blood testing and her family lineage and history being researched. She was tested on other things as well, including her fertility which they'd get the results for later this week.
Soarynn couldn't wait to get married so they could have a baby together. She knew it was a little childish, but to grow a child inside of her was a dream she'd had for so long and it was finally coming true. She turns back to their large bed, watching Coriolanus sleep without a worry in the world while she simply imagines a crib next to their bed. The girls would love another little sibling and it would be nice for Caspian to have someone else to play with.
She can't wait.
꧁ ꧂
The tea and coffee arrive a few minutes later on a silver tray, piping hot and Soarynn thanks the Avox before she brings it to her bedside table. She carefully climbs back into bed, her knees sinking into the soft mattress as she crawls next to Coriolanus, resting a hand on his smooth cheek, "Coryo," she whispers, "wake up."
Coriolanus groans, pushing her hand away to roll over to his stomach, "Let me sleep in darling," he grumbles with that deep voice that always makes her feel some type of way, "I had a long night." Soarynn scratches his back with her perfectly manicured nails, the week leading up to their wedding has been filled with appointments. Soarynn got her hair cut and her body hair waxed. Her nails and toenails were perfectly manicured and she got a facial.
She's ready for tonight. Ready to finally lose her virginity.
A Capitol woman's virginity is a sacred thing that must be guarded at all costs if she plans on having a successful, prosperous marriage. If Soarynn and Coriolanus weren't in the public eye like they are, she has no doubt that they would've already had sex before. But because all eyes are on them, certain things are expected of them including consummating the marriage. She knows how badly Coriolanus had wanted her in the past, how he's whispered in her ear about taking her in every single position possible but he's a man, and a traditional one at that.
So they waited.
And good things come to those who wait.
Soarynn leans over until her lips hover over the shell of his ear, "Well tonight is going to be an even longer night," she purrs, feeling his back muscles tense from her teasing. That seems to do the trick in waking him up because he's pushing himself from the mattress a second later, putting his biceps on full display, "You certainly know how to give a wake-up call," he says, grinning up at her.
Soarynn grins back at him, it's hard to remember the time when they only exchanged a few words here and there with each other. Now they're inseparable. "That's why you're marrying me," she tells him while grabbing his cup of coffee from the tray, "because of my excellent wake-up calls." His eyes light up at the sight of the coffee, Soarynn doesn't particularly care for it but she knows that Coriolanus can't function without it.
There had been one time when just as he was about to reach for his cup, holding the last amount of coffee they had in the house, when Celeste tipped it over and he was forced to go through the day without any caffeine. He only spoke in grunts and hand gestures.
He gingerly takes the cup from her and sits his back against the headboard, putting his toned torso on display with an arrogant look on his face, "I was a big fan of the wake-up call I received the other day," he tells her, a playful glint in his blue eyes.
Soarynn blushes while remembering how she mustered up the courage to give him a blowjob to get him up. It had been a last resort really and Coriolanus Snow has been blessed with a very gorgeous cock that she just can't get enough of. Hearing him groan and moan her name while he withered in the sheets made up for her sore jaw.
Giving him head for the first time ever had been a daunting task since she'd never done it before but Coriolanus was surprisingly patient and took things slow with her, never forcing her to do anything she didn't want to do. Now she was in her opinion, quite the expert when it came to getting her fiance off.
"You might be lucky and receive a similar one tomorrow," she replies, grabbing her own cup of tea and bringing it to her lips. They stay like that for a moment, Soarynn sitting on her knees while Coriolanus sits against the headboard, not saying a thing but completely content in one another's company. He rests a hand on her knee, always needing to have some sort of physical contact with her.
In the beginning, Soarynn thought his touchiness was something only reserved for the bedroom. How wrong she had been. It only took one dinner with some of his advisors for Soarynn to learn that Coriolanus Snow was a man who craved dominance and touch at all times. It was her mistake for wearing a red dress that was backless, clinging to her figure beautifully.
He hadn't been able to keep his hands to himself all night despite being in the presence of the most influential men in Panem. A hand on her shoulder, her back, her thigh, her hand, her face. He loved touching her. Not even in a sexual way, but in a grounding way.
Soarynn loved it, she wasn't as touchy as Coriolanus but she never minded it when he felt the need to close the distance between them. She loved being by his side, holding his arm, resting a hand on his cheek while she stared up at him adoringly.
She never knew she could be this in love with someone.
Tigris often teased her about it, how she only thought about Coriolanus but she couldn't help it! Eudora called it "the honeymoon phase" a time when couples were obsessed with one another. It would fizzle out and Soarynn would be able to spend more than five minutes away from Coriolanus but she couldn't see that happening anytime soon.
Petunia hops onto the bed, slowly padding over to Soarynn to get her morning attention she needs to survive the day with. "Good morning little lady," Soarynn says, scratching behind her ears. Petunia purrs and leans into her touch, flopping onto her back for the maximum amount of pets, Coriolanus chuckles, "She's going to go ballistic when we aren't here tomorrow." Soarynn rolls her eyes but continues rubbing Petunia's belly, "I do wish you'd let her come with us. She needs me."
Coriolanus presses his fingers further into her skin, "Darling, it's two days, not two weeks." Soarynn pouts but he remains firm in his decision to not include Petunia in their honeymoon plans. "We've just never been apart like this," she mumbles, knowing damn well they have been apart like this before but she won't be the one to bring that up.
Coriolanus watches Petunia as her tail bumps his elbow, "I think you two will survive."
Where they would go after their wedding sparked up many discussions. Soarynn didn't feel comfortable leaving the children for too long but Coriolanus didn't feel like having the children tag along on what normally was a private, intimate trip for a newlywed couple. Soarynn also didn't want to go to the Districts again, not after what happened in Four. In an effort to have some time alone together, they came to the agreement that they'd have a small honeymoon at the Nightingale townhouse.
Soarynn felt it was the perfect compromise. Coriolanus got to have her all to himself for two whole days and if something were to come up, they were only a short car ride away from the Mansion. And the townhouse itself is huge, large enough to house an entire family let alone two people. Soarynn often felt that it was too big for her and her father but moving out of her childhood home seemed less than desirable as she finished her last years at school.
She was really just excited to have some feeling of normalcy for the next few days. They would, of course, have security surrounding the house at all times but she had insisted on having no staff inside the house to wait on them. If they wanted breakfast then she would cook breakfast. She also made sure that Coriolanus wouldn't be doing any work while on their honeymoon, not even a phone call.
She wanted him all to herself.
"I can't believe today is the day," she murmurs, thinking back to her first day ever stepping foot into the Snow household, "remember when you told me that me getting hired had nothing to do with my family name?" Coriolanus sputters while swallowing his coffee, sitting up even straighter in bed, "It didn't!" He claims, giving her a look, "Yes, I knew your father, but you getting hired truly had nothing to do with you being a Nightingale. The last time I ever saw your father was at my own father's funeral."
Soarynn vaguely remembers the funeral. Coriolanus had been twenty so she had been fourteen, too young to truly grasp the loss of a citizen like Crassus Xanthos Snow. Still, she attended the high society funeral with the rest of their circles, wearing all black while standing by her father's side.
She hadn't even seen Coriolanus at the funeral even though he was in attendance. She did hear lots of whispers about the only remaining Snow, how some thought he might take over his father's business while others whispered about him running for President. Running for President at twenty years old seemed impossible to Soarynn at the time but Coriolanus won by a landslide.
The people in the Capitol loved him. He was everything they wanted in a leader, young, driven, dedicated, and very attractive.
"Snow and Nightingale," she muses, "who would've thought?"
Not her. Not a million years would she have thought about one day marrying Coriolanus Snow and yet it feels as if it's the only thing for her to do now.
Coriolanus chuckles and carefully sets his cup of coffee back down on the tray before holding his hand out to her, "Come here." Soarynn is more than happy to oblige, setting her own drink down and crawling onto his lap, straddling him while his hands easily slip under her blue nightgown.
Soarynn tilts her head and presses her lips to his, both of them moving in perfect synchronized harmony. His hands squeeze her waist while her hips begin to move with his, so close yet so far. She can already feel him hardening under her barely covered cunt, making her whimper, "Oh fuck," she moans, tilting her head back while Coriolanus kisses up and down her neck, sucking on the tender skin.
Soarynn digs her nails into his shoulders, "Coryo we can't," she reminds him, "no bruises or marks." Eudora had given them quite the lecture the other night about making sure that they were blemish-free for their wedding day, mostly focusing her attention and threats on Coriolanus who's known for his inability to keep his hands to himself.
But he doesn't take lightly to keeping his hands to himself.
"Yes we can," he mumbles, sliding his hands down to her ass, slipping his fingers under the thin waistband of her panties. Just as he's about to pull them down, they hear a knock and the sound of their door handles being fumbled with. It's only a matter of seconds before the children are spilling into their room and Soarynn is throwing herself off of Coriolanus and under the covers.
"It's wedding day!" Ceraphina says, a big smile on her face as she runs over to the bed, Celeste and Caspian right behind her. Soarynn brushes her hair behind her ears, embarrassed and flustered that she's been found like this in such a scandalous position with their father. Coriolanus only seems to be amused by her behavior and pulls the sheets over their laps before turning his attention to his children who eagerly try to climb into bed with them, "It's also rude to barge into people's rooms without getting permission," he reminds his oldest who only bats her eyelashes up at him. "Oops," she says with an innocent shrug before finally getting onto the bed.
Soarynn smiles at Ceraphina who eagerly stands up on the mattress, jumping up and down, "You're getting married! You're getting married! Today you're getting married!"
Coriolanus scoops Celeste off of the floor and tosses her onto the bed, grinning when she shrieks, "Daddy!"
Soarynn and Coriolanus laugh when she sticks her tongue out at her father, something she would've never done a year ago. Because a year ago, the children saw their father one hour a day, no more, no less. But things have changed, he has changed, and for the better.
Someone pulls at the pillow Soarynn is sitting against and she looks down at her side of the bed to find Caspian reaching up for her, "Momma." Soarynn smiles and happily pulls him up and onto her lap, peppering his face with kisses, "Good morning my sweet boy. Did you sleep well?"
Caspian watches both his sisters jump up and down, giggling while their curls fly loose, "Lenny have wedding," he finally tells Soarynn with a very determined look in his eyes. Both Soarynn and Coriolanus sigh at his insistence on bringing Lenny to the wedding, something Coriolanus has loudly protested since the idea was brought up. Soarynn doesn't really mind it, Caspian will be sitting with his sisters and Eudora at the very front so it's natural for him to want Lenny to comfort him. Soarynn won't be able to wipe away any tears should there be any.
"Lenny can come to the wedding darling," she tells him, pushing back some of his more unruly curls away from his eyes. His hair has been growing so much these past few months and it's further confirmed that he'll look just like Coriolanus when he gets older. She wisely ignores the look that Coriolanus gives her, not caring how childish it might seem to bring a stuffed animal. Livia gave it to him so it only makes sense for him to find comfort in Lenny.
"When're you gonna put on your wedding dress Soarynn?" Celeste asks, flopping onto the bed after growing tired from jumping. Both girls had accompanied Soarynn to all of her wedding dress fittings. She didn't just want to buy something off of the rack, not when this was predicted to be the wedding of the century. Coriolanus of course insisted that she get her dress custom-made, only the best for his future wife. Soarynn had gone to Tigris, a trusted friend and fashion designer who had taken off after making two princess dresses for Ceraphina and Celeste.
Soarynn never knew how much went into making a wedding dress, and how many measurements and decisions had to be made. She had seen photos of Livia's dress, long-sleeved with a high collar that went up to her chin. She decided to go in the opposite route, wanting her dress to be different and to represent her as a person.
Soarynn tickles Caspian's chin before answering, "Soon darling. I have to get my hair and makeup done first."
Both girls gasp at the idea of having their hair and makeup done professionally, another thing that Coriolanus insisted on. Soarynn barely wears any makeup as is, just some blush, mascara, and a bit of concealer when needed but she was rather excited to be in professional hands today. It took the pressure off of her.
"Can we get our makeup done too Daddy?"
Coriolanus immediately shakes his head, a more stern look grows across his handsome facial features, "Absolutely not darling, you two don't need any makeup. Ever." The girls frown, looking at Coriolanus and then Soarynn, a rebuttal already forming, "Well Soarynn is wearing makeup. And she's the prettiest person ever," Ceraphina points out, effectively putting Coriolanus on the spot.
Soarynn turns to Coriolanus, her eyebrows raised, "She's right darling, what're you trying to say? Am I not beautiful to you?" She's only teasing but it's fun to keep Coriolanus on his toes, especially with the girl's help. He immediately turns red in the face, realizing he's been cornered by the three most important girls in his life, "No! No you are darling," he reaches over to grab her hand, "you breathe life into everything around you. Without you, the sun would cease to shine."
Ceraphina sighs and dramatically flings herself onto the bed, "How romantic." Soarynn chuckles, squeezing his hand to let him know that all is forgiven, "We really should start getting ready, Eudora will be up here before we know it."
Eudora Trinket is a woman of exact science, planning everything down to the last detail. Soarynn isn't even worried about the wedding, not when Eudora is planning it. She's more worried about things that can not be controlled such as the weather and other human beings. But one glance out the window lets her know that it'll be a bright and sunny day in the midst of winter.
"Can't we stay a little longer?" Celeste whines, crawling over to Soarynn to rest her head on the pillow, "Just for a few more minutes?" Soarynn runs a loving hand through Celeste's curls, they'll have to be properly styled for today, "A few more minutes," she agrees, "then we must get up and start our day."
That seems like more than enough for the children who all quickly make themselves at home, nuzzling against either Soarynn or Coriolanus under the covers. It's a sweet, wonderful feeling to be surrounded by this much love all at once. Soarynn keeps an arm wrapped around Caspian while Celeste cuddles Soarynn's side, a dreamy smile on her lips. Ceraphina rests her head on her father's chest, already sleeping again while Coriolanus absentmindedly strokes up and down her back while his eyes are closed. Soarynn knows he's not really sleeping, that he's just "resting his eyes" but it's still a sweet memory that she'll keep tucked away.
Soarynn feels herself drifting back to sleep, almost fully dreaming when there's a loud knock at the doors, "Rise and shine!" Eudora calls from the other side, causing everyone to groan as they're woken up again. Soarynn sits up, rubbing her eyes, "Looks like Eudora's here," she mumbles, swinging her feet over the side of the bed. She gently picks up Caspian and holds him on her hip while she pads over to the doors, Petunia hops off the foot of the bed and follows her, curious to see who's knocking so loudly.
The moment she opens the doors she's greeted by the blinding sight of Eudora's new wig, bright red for the occasion. "Oh my," she says, squinting up at the intricately styled hairdo, "what a...what a piece of art Eudora." The older woman pats her hair as if it's a sculpture, "Thank you, dear, I had it saved for an occasion such as this one. And I see everyone is in one place, how wonderful. Coriolanus, get dressed and get out, it's time for the bride to get ready."
Coriolanus shoots her a teasing look from their bed, making no moves to get up for the day, "What's wrong with what I'm wearing right now?" He asks, flexing his bare arms for added effect. Eudora merely rolls her eyes in response, not at all phased by her boss being almost naked, "I could name several things but I'd rather not hurt your feelings, now, let's get you situated dear," she says, guiding Soarynn over to the sofa, "the Preps will be here any minute along with your friend Tigris."
While Coriolanus begrudgingly goes into the bathroom to put on some actual clothes, Soarynn occupies the children by telling them about the cake they'll be having tonight. "It's seven tiers," she says, letting Caspian rest his head on her chest, "with vanilla frosting and lots of roses."
"Will there be a chocolate fountain?"
"Yes, darling."
"And ice cream?"
"Yes, darling."
Coriolanus comes back out of the bathroom wearing a pair of pants and a red sweater, extremely casual for a man who wears a suit and tie every single day but he'll be getting ready in one of their many guest rooms, "Alright Cas, let's give the ladies some space," he reaches over the couch for his youngest child who's reluctant to let go of Soarynn. "I'll see you soon sweet boy," she promises before carefully handing him over to Coriolanus, "Soon," Caspian repeats with the nod of his head.
Coriolanus smiles and leans over the sofa, pressing a kiss to Soarynn's cheek, "The next time I'll see you will be at the altar."
What an exhilarating thought. Soarynn feels goosebumps growing all over her body as she turns to look up at him adoringly, "I'll see you at the altar," she agrees, letting him kiss her one more time before they officially become husband and wife. The girls, of course, sigh at the romantic gesture and bid their father goodbye, promising to see him later when they're throwing rose petals down the aisle.
The girls had begged to be the flower girls and Soarynn could hardly deny them of such an important role. Caspian turned down the job of being the ring bearer the second it was brought up, clearly not as interested in being involved with the wedding as his sisters were.
Soarynn lets out a sigh, it's strange to be without Coriolanus now, even though they usually spend the majority of their days apart. But the past week has been so wonderful, he has been so wonderful, seeing her more often, spending more time with her in the mornings, waking her up with kisses and hugs.
But the girls don't let the silence linger long. They begin asking more questions about the guests, the music, the clothes, all questions that Eudora easily answers. Soarynn tunes the conversation out for the most part, simply enjoying the moment before it's over. A quiet knock at the doors causes them to all fall silent and Eudora rushes over to answer it, Soarynn and the girls crane their necks to see who it is but Eudora is in the way. She turns to face them a second later, a triumphant look on her face, "Everything is ready! Right this way!"
꧁ ꧂
Soarynn has never been so taken care of in her life.
Sitting in the room that used to be hers, she finds herself in a comfortable chair while four women work simultaneously to prepare her for the big day. The Preps, a Prep Team from the Hunger Games are well versed in their craft. There's Imogen who has been doing Soarynn's makeup for the past hour, keeping it per Soarynn's request, natural yet glowy. Jadis has been tackling Soarynn's long hair, styling it so that it looks absolutely perfect for when she walks down the aisle. Lavender has been applying all sorts of lotions and potions to Soarynn's skin to ensure that it looks as healthy as can be. And lastly, Olympia has been overseeing all of the progress while helping Tigris with Soarynn's wedding dress.
"Oh, it's just so exciting!" Jadis exclaims, taking another piece of Soarynn's hair to curl it, "Capitol weddings are always so gorgeous and yours is going to be the most gorgeous we've ever seen sweetie!"
Soarynn blushes, she's never been given this much attention in her life but these four women have dedicated all of their time to making her feel as beautiful as possible. She already felt beautiful when Tigris gifted her a beautiful white silk robe with a matching nightgown for her to wear while getting ready. The girls had been obsessed with it and luckily, Tigris thought ahead and made the girls smaller versions of Soarynn's dress as well so that they could match.
"I just can't wait to see him," Soarynn says, admiring her engagement ring once again. Coriolanus got her a rock to put it lightly. A large diamond that's surrounded by smaller diamonds all with gold hardware. She can't even imagine what the wedding ring will look like.
All the women take a moment to admire the ring, fawning over it and the details that went into designing it, "It's stunning," Imogen gushes, "he must be terribly in love with you." Soarynn nods along to her words, a smile gracing her lips, "He is," she agrees.
"Daddy and Soarynn are gonna kiss at the end of the wedding right?" Celeste asks Eudora, tugging on her dress. Eudora has been busy all morning, coming in and out of the room to check on Soarynn's progress, "Yes dear, they'll say their vows, exchange their rings and kiss," Eudora confirms, "and they'll stay on schedule."
Tigris and Olympia fluff out Soarynn's dress even more, checking for any wrinkles or snags it might have gotten while being transported from her boutique. According to Tigris, people have been looking through her shop windows, desperate to get a glimpse of the dress before it's big reveal.
Soarynn had decided to go with a strapless dress, showing off a classy amount of cleavage while also showing off her shoulders and collarbones. The dress has somewhat of a corseted bodice, accentuating her small waist while remaining pleasing to the eye. The majority of the dress is made up of tulle, lots of expensive, layered tulle, giving the illusion of a large gown. It's been so tediously layered, cut in specific ways to give the dress shape and organic flow. The top layers of the dress gather at the back, making for a flattering shape along with some dramatic flair. Most importantly, it doesn't weigh a thousand pounds.
Soarynn has tried on several versions of the dress over the past few months, changing little details here and there and she couldn't be happier with the final outcome. It's a dress that represents her, sophisticated yet light and airy. For her shoes, she went with classic white high heels, and for jewelry, she kept it simple with pearl earrings.
"What if you trip?" Ceraphina asks, causing all the women to shudder in horror, Soarynn presses a smile onto her lips, "Let's hope I don't."
Eudora shakes her head, "No tripping, no falling, no arguing," she narrows her eyes at the girls who do their best to look innocent, "I have personally counted the number of petals in each of your baskets and I can confirm that you both have an equal amount."
Soarynn holds in a laugh, the girls love to argue about things being fair and equal and Eudora has clearly come prepared for anything they might throw at her today. "Why don't we get you girls dressed?" Tigris suggests, pointing at their pink flower girl dresses. They're made of similar material to Soarynn's dress, tulle for the gown itself, and velvet for their bodices. It had been so adorable to see the girls getting to make their own flower girl dresses, picking out different little details they wanted incorporated such as roses on the sleeves.
While Soarynn's dress doesn't have any roses, her bouquet certainly does, all fresh from the greenhouse. She decided on an all-white bouquet to keep with the theme.
"So you all normally work with Tributes?" She asks the Preps, tilting her head to the side so Imogen can powder her face, "Oh yes sweetie. We work with all the Tributes from District Two, which means we get to come to the party at the end of his Victory Tour!"
This year's Hunger Games had been a blur for Soarynn if she was being honest. She hadn't paid much attention to it once she got engaged but she remembers watching the boy from Two, Beckett, win by cutting his remaining opponent clean down the middle with a sword he was gifted by one of his sponsors. A brutal, gory way to die but he wore a bright smile while he did it, making her stomach turn.
Coriolanus had commented on how Beckett was as cunning as they were bred in the Districts. Which led Soarynn to really think about how true that was. Children in the Districts were either raised as killers or those who would be killed, told that the Tributes from their Districts never won and that they'd never have a fighting chance. District Two is well known for training their children at a special academy until they turn eighteen so they can then volunteer.
Soarynn looks gazes into the bathroom where Tigris is chatting away with the girls, she can't imagine Ceraphina or Celeste training for the Hunger Games at such a young age with sunken cheeks and brittle bones. She should talk to Coriolanus about that, see what she can do.
"How exciting," she murmurs, not feeling as chatty as she was a moment ago. Becoming First Lady means having to make public appearances, it means having to support things like the Hunger Games, something Soarynn has done her best to ignore up until this point. Not on purpose, she's just never cared for the pageantry of it, and neither did her father.
Oh, her father. She wishes he could be here to see this, to walk her down the aisle and give her away. That's truly her one regret about today, not having him here.
"You'll get to meet him too," Lavender says chipperly, lathering another layer of lotion onto Soarynn's chest, "the party will be your first public appearance with your new husband!"
It certainly will be. Soarynn hasn't even thought that far ahead but the Preps clearly have. "I can't wait," she replies, looking into the bathroom again when she hears the girls giggling, "it'll be nice for things to get back to normal." Since the proposal, everything has been different, their schedules, how she's been treated, it's been a whole new world for Soarynn Nightingale.
She just hopes she likes it.
꧁ ꧂
Three hours later, Soarynn is ready.
She admires her reflection in the floor-length mirror, turning her head as instructed by Olympia to make sure that nothing needs to be changed before departing.
Her face looks stunning, even she can admit that. Imogen nailed the look she was going for, natural yet enhanced. Imogen gave her a rosy cheek while giving her more of a sultry eye look with a bit of eyeliner to make her blue-gray eyes pop. She's mostly happy to see her freckles shining through, something she's become more adamant about since Coriolanus keeps complimenting her natural complexion.
For her hair, Soarynn wanted something simple yet elegant and requested an updo to really give the dress its moment to shine. Jadis did amazing work with her long blonde hair, styling it in a bun with face-framing pieces, keeping it loose but not too loose. She also added a few bobby pins with white roses on them, tucking them into the bun to tie in the rose theme that Coriolanus seems to adore so much.
Soarynn has never seen her skin look so good before. Lavender truly lathered on the lotions, making sure that Soarynn's skin wasn't just healthy, but soft and smooth, glowing even.
And the dress, oh the dress is perfect. Soarynn holds out her arms and does a twirl, earning her several delighted gasps and a round of applause. "Oh, you look beautiful dear," Eudora tells her, "just beautiful." The girls bounce on their toes, watching all the women chat amongst themselves, "Soarynn you look just like a princess," Celeste says, doing a curtsy in her own dress.
Soarynn smiles, carefully crouching down so they're at eye level, "Thank you, darling. You two look so, so beautiful, your father is going to love your dresses." Both of the girls light up when she mentions their father, "Can we go see Daddy?"
Eudora checks another thing off of her list, Soarynn had stolen a glance at it earlier and truly couldn't fathom having such a responsibility. "Yes, in fact, we're right on schedule which should allow for Coriolanus to see the girls before we all depart," she announces, "come along girls, your father will be very pleased with your dresses."
Soarynn waves to the girls as they follow Eudora out of the room and into the hallway, the room suddenly feeling quieter and emptier. Petunia slips in right before the doors close, running right to Soarynn, "They're just so precious," Jadis says, reaching her hand out to Petunia who curiously sniffs it before looking up at Soarynn who hums in agreement. "They really are the sweetest children," Soarynn says, bending down to pick up Petunia, "I can't wait for us to all become one big family."
Soarynn had spent one afternoon in October in her fiance's study signing document after document that would give her legal custody of all three children. None of these documents would go into effect until she said "I do" but it made all of this feel much more real. In a few hours, she'd have three children. Three darling children who she loved with all her heart.
Tigris fluffs out the dress some more, fussing with the tulle, "They're very lucky to have you, he is very lucky to have you. Don't forget that."
Soarynn sighs, it's hard to remember when it all feels like a dream with Coriolanus. The house, the money, the children, the power. He's a dream come true. But so is she. Tigris is right, she'd do well to remember that she is also quite the catch.
"I know," she replies, rocking Petunia back and forth in her arms, "it's just hard to believe that a year ago I just started working here again as a live-in nanny"
A year ago feels like a century ago to Soarynn who feels as if she's lived ten lives the past twelve months. A year ago she and Coriolanus were dancing with their hands tied so to speak and now, she's going to marry him.
"We should take some photos," Lavender suggests, "I'll go find the photographer."
Another thing Soarynn has been preparing herself for, the photos. Eudora hired a few photographers herself but every news and media outlet in the country will be covering the wedding today. It's to be broadcast throughout all of Panem and all of its citizens are required to watch. Soarynn wonders if people will watch with bitterness or amazement.
Probably bitterness. She's seen how the Districts feel about people like her and she wasn't even a Snow then, she was just the nanny.
Now she'll be in the public eye, to either be built up or torn down.
Coriolanus has assured her multiple times that no one would dare utter a word against her but she knows that people talk, his reign can't extended over everything all at once. Snow won't always land on top.
Lavender appears a few minutes later with a photographer and Eudora along with the girls who are giggling, "We showed Daddy our dresses!" Ceraphina tells Soarynn, running over to pet Petunia who gladly welcomes the attention. "What did he say?" Soarynn asks, carefully handing Petunia over to Ceraphina who gladly takes her, holding her like a baby, "He said he looked beautiful and that we were the prettiest little girls in Panem." Celeste nods along to her sister's recap, petting Petunia's head, "And he said we look very grown up," she adds.
Eudora chuckles, smoothing down Ceraphina's hair that's being held back by a white headband, "I think he cried a little, but he'll claim it was some dust that got into his eyes." Eudora and Soarynn share a grin, Coriolanus is a man who remains stoic in every situation.
But he's always had a soft spot for his girls.
"Let's get one with Ms. Nightingale and the cat," the photographer suggests, earning him a meow from Petunia who simply wishes to be held, by who, she doesn't care.
Soarynn takes Petunia back into her arms, smiling for the camera.
They take some more photos, some of Soarynn with the girls, and some of her alone sitting in one of the armchairs or looking into the mirror. Eudora said that there will be an entire magazine spread dedicated to the details of their wedding. After enough photos are taken, the Preps and Tigris take their leave, pressing kisses to Soarynn's cheeks and promising to see her at the wedding.
"Looks like it's just us again," she says to the girls, watching Petunia run around the room. Ceraphina smiles, "Yep! Now we get to go to the wedding and throw the flower petals!"
"Just like we practiced," Eudora reminds her before things can get out of hand, "you two will walk down the aisle side by side, throw the petals, and then you'll sit in the front row on the left side. Right?"
Celeste tilts her head, looking confused even though they rehearsed all of this two days ago, "We go left?"
Eudora nods, "Right."
"We go right?"
"No dear, left."
"Okay, left."
"Right."
"I think we need to practice again Eudora."
Soarynn laughs at their dilemma and rests a reassuring hand on Eudora's shoulder, "Everything will be fine Eudora, don't worry, the girls will know what to do."
Eudora doesn't look too convinced but they don't have any more time to waste, they're on a schedule. "I hope so," she says in a haughty tone, "I don't need Coriolanus giving me any dirty looks. Now, let's start making our way downstairs so we can leave on time."
No one protests to that. Soarynn says goodbye to Petunia one last time, kissing her head and promising to be back in a few days even though Petunia probably doesn't even care. Soarynn cares and that's more than enough reason to give Petunia a rundown of their itinerary.
They all make their way out of the room and into the hallway, following Eudora like baby ducks in a row. "Can I hold your hand Soarynn?"
She looks down at Celeste who looks nervous about possibly stepping on Soarynn's dress and Soarynn quickly gathers the tulle in her other hand, "Of course, you can darling." They carefully walk down the staircase hand in hand with Ceraphina and Eudora helping to make sure that Soarynn doesn't trip on the remainder of her dress.
They make it down successfully and several of the Avoxes stop to admire Soarynn and her dress. After the wedding, they'll return to the Mansion for the reception dinner and the party so things have been in full swing this week leading up to the big day. Soarynn can't begin to count how many white napkins and plates she's looked at. With Coriolanus still running the country, Soarynn has taken on the brunt of the planning alongside Eudora and she's often worried that it might not be enough, or worse, not live up to his first wedding.
She had even suggested a smaller wedding, a private one without the public but Coriolanus insisted on a public one, a grand wedding so everyone could admire her. "You deserve to have the wedding of your dreams darling," he had told her one night after she confessed her doubts, "and to be quite honest, my wedding with Livia was far from a dream."
He did make a good point, Soarynn only planned on getting married once and she wanted to remember it and enjoy it.
"Alright, this way to the car, Coriolanus and Caspian already left so it's just us ladies," Eudora tells her while they walk down the great hall. They pass the empty space where the painting of the Snows used to be and Soarynn's heart beats a little faster knowing that there will be a painting with her hanging there sooner than later.
Soarynn and Coriolanus had already had several discussions about what to do with the rest of the paintings and photographs of Livia and Soarynn told him to keep them. Livia might not have been the best wife or mother but she was his wife and she was the children's mother. Soarynn could never deny her of that. So to honor her and remember her, they'd keep the photos, move them to a different part of the house where the children could always visit them if they wanted to.
Coriolanus had looked a bit stunned by Soarynn's insistence but after visiting Livia's grave, she was certain in her decision.
For one day, she too would be dead and she could only hope that someone would keep her pictures around.
꧁ ꧂
Soarynn can't hide her amazement as they drive through the crowded Capitol streets. From the moment they pulled out of the gates, their car has been swarmed by people eager to catch a glimpse of Coriolanus Snow's bride. Soarynn starts to feel a little bit nervous as the crowds grow thicker, trying to peer through the tinted windows, "I didn't realize this many people would be out today," she murmurs, holding Celeste's hand a little higher.
Eudora doesn't even seem phased by the number of people in the streets today, knowing her, she probably already planned for this and how many minutes of additional traffic it would add for them. "The Capitol hasn't seen a wedding this grand in a very long time," she tells Soarynn, closing her binder with a relieved sigh, "and your story is quite romantic dear, you're an inspiration to couples everywhere."
Soarynn certainly hadn't planned on inspiring anybody with her love story but she supposes that the Capitol citizens have a mind of their own. The car begins to slow down and the crowds become larger, thicker, louder. They're finally here.
The Building of Justice shines brightly on this cold winter day, a beacon of significance. Those who are a part of the highest elite circles always get married here, even the President. Soarynn knows the building like the back of her hand since she's spent many weeks walking through it, planning out the floral arrangements and color schemes. She hopes everything goes well, goes perfectly.
She spots several news trucks parked along the street and she turns back to Eudora, "Will the media outlets be inside?" She's not opposed to it per se, Soarynn has already come to terms with her new life in the spotlight but she would like to know what to expect before she walks down the aisle.
"They'll be in the very back dear," Eudora tells her, "you won't even see them and Lucky has signed a contract agreeing to keep his excitement contained so no need to worry about any fanatic outbursts." It's a funny thing to take into consideration but Lucky Flickerman can be quite flamboyant and very loud.
Better safe than sorry.
Soarynn nods, watching as they finally pull up to the front steps of the Building of Justice. "Here we go," she whispers, a smile creeping onto her face. A group of Peacekeepers, at least ten, approach the car, ordering people to stand back and leave room. "Any regrets before we go?" Eudora asks, leaning forward to let Soarynn know that this is a safe space.
Soarynn shakes her head, she has some regrets but none regarding marrying into the Snow family, "None at all," she answers before the door opens. They're met with cheers as Eudora steps out first, already barking out orders to the Peacekeepers who look quite shocked at how much noise can come from such a small person. The girls go out next, grinning ear to ear while holding hands. Soarynn watches them wave to the crowd, basking in the attention.
It's her turn now.
She's offered a hand and she takes it, gracefully stepping out onto the sidewalk and the crowd loses it. Cameras flash, people scream, it's complete madness. Everyone's eyes are on Soarynn Nightingale as she rises to her full height, her dress finally revealed, her beauty put on display for all to see. She can see several cameramen recording her, reminding her that this entire ceremony is being viewed by all of Panem.
"The bride has landed."
Soarynn looks at the hand she grabbed and looks up to realize that it's Sejanus Plinth who helped her out, wearing a suit while looking very handsome. "I was hoping I might just sneak in," she jokes, causing them both to laugh. Eudora waves at them to follow her, already halfway up the steps with the girls. Soarynn and Sejanus carefully make their way up the steps and Soarynn does her best to wave to all those who have braved the cold to catch a glimpse of her before she's married.
She sees so many little girls watching with amazement as she glides up the steps and into the Building of Justice, feeling a rush of warmth wash over her once the large doors close behind them.
It's suddenly so quiet again.
Sejanus drops her hand so he can kneel down and talk to the girls who are overjoyed to see one of their favorite people, "Sejanus did you see us?!" He grins, reaching out to brush a curl out from Celeste's face, "I sure did. You both look so lovely in your dresses."
The girls do a few twirls so that he can get the full effect while Eudora runs around the large lobby, getting everything ready. The large wooden doors that lead to the main ceremony room are closed but Soarynn can hear the murmur of the crowd from outside. Several Peacekeepers stand guard throughout the room, making sure no one gets in or out.
"Are you nervous?"
It takes her a second to realize that Sejanus is talking to her and Soarynn shakes her head, "No, I'm simply anxious. I've been thinking about this moment for so long and now it's finally here."
Sejanus hums, admiring her wedding dress in all its glory, "Well you look beautiful Soarynn. Coriolanus is lucky to have you." Soarynn blushes, she's often given compliments on her beauty but they mean a lot more coming from a good friend of hers. "Thank you Sejanus, and thank you for walking me down the aisle."
Without any surviving parents on both sides of their family, Soarynn and Coriolanus didn't know what to do when it came down to having someone walk her down the aisle. At one point he suggested Quintus Heavensbee walking her down the aisle which she kindly declined. She liked Quintus but she'd rather walk by herself if it was that much of a problem.
Then Ceraphina had the bright idea to have Sejanus walk her down the aisle. Both Soarynn and Coriolanus felt that it was a great idea. Soarynn enjoyed Sejanus and Coriolanus felt comfortable trusting Sejanus to take care of his bride.
"Of course," he nods, flashing her a smile, "never thought I'd see the day when he'd be happily married."
Eudora comes over to them with two pink baskets in hand, one for each of their flower girls, "Here you go girls," she hands them the baskets, "now remember, no throwing them at guests." Ceraphina pouts but Eudora gives her a stern look, "Okay," she finally says with a sigh, admiring the white petals, "we will be perfectly behaved."
"Good. You two will go in just a moment."
Eudora runs off to do something else and Soarynn takes it as an opportunity to talk with the girls one last time. She crouches down, her dress pooling around her, "I just wanted to tell you girls that I'm so grateful that our paths crossed. I'm so happy we met and I'm so excited to be a part of your family." Soarynn's eyes mist with tears but she doesn't try to hide them, "I love you so very much, it's been such a privilege to watch you two grow up."
Tears form in their eyes as well and Soarynn holds out her arms for one last hug, a hug that they happily accept. "We love you Soarynn," Ceraphina tells her, "and Daddy does too, and Caspian, and Lenny." Celeste nods to her sister's words, "Mhm, and Eudora too. You fit right in with our family."
Soarynn laughs, glad that they see it that way, "Well I'm very lucky to be part of a family such as this one. I can't wait to wake up knowing that I have three perfect children." Soarynn and Coriolanus had explained the logistics of custody as well as they possibly could to the girls who simply concluded that once they kissed at the altar, they'd have a new mother and that was more than enough for them.
"Alright girls, it's time to go!" Eudora calls from the doors. Soarynn hugs the girls one last time before they go, "I'll see you in there," she whispers, smoothing down their hair once more before they run over to Eudora, bouncing on their toes.
Eudora stares down at her wristwatch, counting down the seconds before she finally nods at the Peacekeepers to open the doors and let the girls in. Soarynn hears lots of adoring gasps when the girls walk into the ceremony room before the doors close again. "I hope they remember to go left," she mutters, getting a questionable look from Sejanus who wasn't there to witness their confusion earlier.
"Have you...have you seen Coriolanus?" She asks casually, standing back up to her full height as she fluffs out her dress. Sejanus chuckles at her attempt to act casual, "I did," he confirms, "he looks very handsome by the way," he adds, making Soarnyn blush, "and he's very eager to see you."
They usually spend all day apart but for some reason, today feels like torture. Probably because they're moments away from tying the knot. From becoming a united front until death does them part.
Minutes of silence pass between them but Soarynn cherishes it, she's been surrounded by noise and chaos all of this morning. A few seconds of silence can be such a precious gift.
Eudora keeps glancing down at her watch, checking her binder, and then checking her watch again. Hopefully, she takes a long vacation after this.
"Alright dear," she calls, waving Soarynn and Sejanus over, "it's time."
Soarynn's heart feels as though it could beat out of her chest from the excitement. Sejanus offers up his arm to her and she gladly takes it, "Are you ready?"
"Ready as I'll ever be," she murmurs.
They wait outside the doors, trying to listen to what's going on inside of the ceremony room and then they hear the music start up. "You really are the most beautiful bride," Eudora tells Soarynn, brushing a piece of hair out from her face before giving her the bouquet of white roses, "your father would be very proud of you dear."
Soarynn didn't think she'd cry this early into her wedding day but Eudora might just bring her to tears. Soarynn carefully hugs the older woman, not wanting to ruin any of the Prep's hard work, "Thank you Eudora, for everything."
She catches a glimmer of tears in Eudora's eyes before she blinks them away and nods, "Of course dear. Enjoy yourself today alright?"
Soarynn hopes she will but knowing how these things go, she'll be pulled left and right to talk to all her guests, barely given any time with Coriolanus.
"You ladies are getting me all teary-eyed," Sejanus jokes, wiping at his own eyes. They all laugh, Sejanus has never been afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve and it's always been something for Soarynn to admire about him. There's just something about someone being unapologetic about being themselves.
Eudora looks at her watch one last time, "Here we go. Five, four, three, two, one, go!"
The doors open, revealing the massive ceremony room, perfectly decorated. The drapery Soarynn picked out months ago hangs down from the ceiling, the flowers she selected weeks ago brighten up the room. Everything worked out in the end and the room screams elegance and wealth, the very message that the Snows like to put out into the world.
All the guests are already standing, all eyes on the bride as she makes her way down the aisle and Soarynn can hear murmurs of admiration for her dress and her beauty.
But her focus is fixed on the man at the altar.
Coriolanus looks tremendously handsome in his black suit, a white rose pinned to his lapel. His curls look perfect, not too unruly but not too slicked back. Just the way she likes them. He exudes wealth and power by simply just standing there and she so desperately wants to be his entirely.
His piercing blue eyes stay locked on her the entire way and Soarynn fights the urge to run down the long aisle to be with him sooner.
As they get closer to the altar, Soarynn can see more clearly how proud Coriolanus looks, how pleased and enamored he looks by just seeing her. He's asked about her dress one hundred times since her first fitting but she's refused to give him any details. But the look on his face has made it all worth it.
They finally reach the steps leading up to the altar and there's nothing keeping them apart now. Soarynn gives Sejanus a warm smile, "Thank you Sejanus," she whispers, giving him a kiss on the cheek before handing him her bouquet. Sejanus smiles back at her, nodding and patting her arm, "I wish you two the best."
Soarynn turns to look back up at her fiance, buzzing with excitement now that this moment has finally arrived. Coriolanus holds his hand out to her and she takes it in an instant, his large fingers curl around her smaller ones as she climbs the steps.
They're both all smiles as they finally come face to face with one another after hours of being apart. It's as if no one else is even in the room with them right now. Soarynn looks up at him with nothing but love and commitment, pleased to know that the man standing across from her would lay the world down at her feet if she asked him to do so.
Coriolanus speaks volumes with his eyes which are usually stern and guarded. He looks utterly in love with her, vexed by her beauty and her dedication to him and his family.
She only glances down at the front row once to look at the children who are all watching with excitement as if watching the horse races. The girls give her a wave and Caspian holds Lenny a little tighter with one hand while holding Eudora's hand with the other.
While neither Soarynn nor Coriolanus have parents anymore, seeing the children is all she needs to feel supported. She's about to have a family, a real, genuine family and she can't thank Coriolanus enough for giving that to her.
The officant begins the very long traditional ceremony which includes reading from several different books and passages. Soarynn had expected it though, the stiffness of a high society wedding. It would be a great sign of disrespect if they didn't partake in tradition, even if it is quite tedious and at sometimes, quite boring.
Soarynn had worried that the children might grow bored or get antsy after a while but she can see from the corner of her eye that they seem more than content watching Soarynn and Coriolanus.
Through the whole thing her eyes remain on the man she cares for the most and his eyes meet hers with matched passion and love. They only have eyes for each other today.
The rings are then brought forward, a simple gold band for Coriolanus, masculine and broad, just like him. And another ring inlaid with diamonds for Soarynn, shaped like vines around a rose to surround the large diamond already on her finger.
Finally, they get to the vows.
Being a woman, Soarynn will be the first one to say her vows, to promise herself to her future husband which will give Coriolanus one last chance to change his mind. It's a terrifying thought to know that he could call it all off and leave with his children, leaving her alone. She'd be lying if she said that she hadn't had a few nightmares about that leading up to this special day.
"Soarynn Nightingale, by agreeing to these vows, you will forever bind yourself to this man. You will promise to love him throughout all your trials and tribulations, to bear the children he gifts upon you, and to support the family created between the two of you. You shall stand by his side as a pillar of strength, dedication, and support as he leads your family through life. Do you, Soarynn Nightingale, vow to uphold these vows, and take Coriolanus Snow to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
Her eyes shine with tears as she answers with a determined tone, the same way she answered Coriolanus when he asked her to marry him, "I do."
"We now turn to the groom. Coriolanus Snow, by agreeing to these vows, you will forever bind yourself to this woman. You will promise to love her throughout all your trials and tribulations, to stand by her as she bears the children you gift upon her, and to lead the family created by the two of you. You shall stand by her side as a pillar of protection, security, and leadership as she walks with you and your family through life. Do you, Coriolanus Snow, take Soarynn Nightingale to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
Coriolanus doesn't let a second pass before answering with the same determined tone Soarynn used, "I do."
Soarynn swears she can hear the girls let out a quiet sigh of relief, goodness knows how they'd react if he didn't take her to be his bride. He'd have a war on his hands.
"Then by the power invested in me, by the great nation of Panem, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Coriolanus, you may kiss your bride."
Soarynn breaks into the largest smile she's ever worn as Coriolanus cups her face with his hands and captures her lips in their first kiss as husband and wife for all to bear witness to. A loud applause roars through the room as the President of Panem kisses the country's new First Lady.
Soarynn rests her hand on his chest when he deepens the kiss, not even shying away from the very public display of affection. She can hear the girls cheering-screaming-as their parents kiss for the first time and she feels Coriolanus grin into the kiss. When he finally pulls away she looks up into his eyes, bright and sparkling, "I hope you know how very proud I am to call you my wife Mrs. Snow," he tells her, softly so only she can hear.
Soarynn is beaming in his hold, "And I am so very proud to be yours Mr. Snow," she replies, earning her another smile from Coriolanus who slips one hand down her back to kiss her again, this time dipping her down for the fun of it which earns them quite a few whistles but Soarynn doesn't even care. She laughs into the kiss while knowing that she'll be forever safe in his arms, a Snow, loved and guarded until the day she dies.
They finally pull away and face the crowd, now man and wife. Soarynn smiles brightly while she waves at the crowd of friends and Capitolites, all people who can proudly say that they witnessed the wedding of a lifetime. She spots Lucky in the very back of the room, talking animatedly to the camera while pointing at the newlyweds.
Soarynn can't help but laugh, it all feels like a wonderful dream come true.
Their name is announced to the country for the first time, Coriolanus and Soarynn Snow has never sounded better.
They begin to make their way down the steps to walk down the aisle, a slow process to ensure no damage befalls the dress and they're immediately met with cheers from the girls who can't seem to sit still for one more second, jumping up and down while they wave at their parents.
Soarynn makes sure to give them a big wave, blowing a kiss to Caspian who sits comfortably on Eudora's hip while she lifts his little hand to wave at them.
Sejanus steps forward to hand Soarynn her bouquet of roses once more, giving Coriolanus a friendly pat on the shoulder to congratulate his good friend.
Walking down the aisle hand-in-hand with her husband feels like the most natural thing in the world for Soarynn.
She's a Snow now, something that she'll never take for granted for being gifted a last name such as this one is something no one should ever neglect.
꧁ ꧂
Everything is a blur after they walk down the aisle.
They were promptly escorted to their car where they were given an even louder round of applause from all the onlookers who had gathered outside the Building of Justice. Soarynn hadn't known that she was so important to Panem but being tied to Coriolanus meant that she was now the second most important person in the country.
The drive home was shorter than she expected but it massively had to do with the fact that most of the streets had been barricaded and cleared for the wedding procession. And Coriolanus barely gave her a moment to think about anything else but his lips on her neck while he tried to distract her from thinking about anything else but him.
Soarynn did her best to keep him at arm's length since they still had a very long day ahead of them and she could not afford to have a hair out of place, let alone a bruise on her neck.
It's rather strange to walk back into the President's Mansion knowing that it's now Soarynn's official home. Coriolanus has already promised her free reign to design and decorate the house as she pleases.
"Just five minutes," Coriolanus whispers in her ear while wrapping an arm around her waist, "just five minutes alone in my study and then we can go take pictures." Soarynn giggles when his fingers brush against her skin, so persistent, "Behave," she reminds him, "we have to stick to Eudora's schedule."
Eudora has planned this entire day down to the last minute and right now, the Mansion is empty which gives them time to take professional photos before the guests start to arrive. She might have a stroke if she found Coriolanus and Soarynn kissing instead of kissing for the cameras.
Coriolanus groans and holds her waist with both hands, forcing her to stop and look up at him, "My darling," her heart skips a beat from his deep voice, "it's going to be impossible for me to keep my hands off of you today. You look exquisite, you look stunning, perfect really. Five minutes is nothing compared to what's waiting for you tonight."
Another giggle escapes Soarynn's lips although this one is more nervous than anything, losing her virginity is a daunting yet exciting proposition, one she herself can not wait for. But they'll have to wait, they can't just sneak off and expect no one to question their whereabouts.
"Then the buildup will make tonight even more pleasurable," she purrs, straightening the lapels on his suit, "and you do look very handsome Coryo, very Presidential." He smirks and leans in for a kiss, biting her bottom lip just to tease her before Soarynn pulls away, "Photos," she reminds him. Coriolanus sighs, almost moping at the idea of having his photograph taken, "Fine, let's go act like we're in love."
Soarynn chuckles, leading them down the great hall towards the ballroom where they'll start with photos and then go outside, "We've been managing so far haven't we?" His hand finds the small of her back, resting there in a protective manner, something he's fond of doing, "I suppose we have. Even the children are fooled." Soarynn smiles at the thought of seeing the children again. They'll come at the end of the photographs, giving them a chance to take their first-ever family photos.
An exciting thought to Soarynn who is now a mother to three.
"I can't to see them," she admits, leaning into his touch, "they were so well behaved at the ceremony." Coriolanus lets out a grunt of agreement, "They were perfect today. Now we just have to get through dinner."
Soarynn's stomach grumbles at the mention of dinner, she really hasn't eaten anything since breakfast.
Once they reach the ballroom, they're greeted by congratulations and instructions on where to stand and how to pose. It's all a bit awkward to Soarynn who has never really done this before. They take lots of candid photos of her and Coriolanus dancing, kissing, and smiling at one another. To his credit, Coriolanus does his best to make her feel comfortable and at ease, causing her to forget about the millions of photos being taken every second that passes.
"This really is a beautiful dress," he tells her while spinning her around. Soarynn nods in agreement, she feels like a princess, "Tigris truly outdid herself," she says, feeling the soft fabric, "I was worried that it wouldn't be suited to your taste."
Coriolanus shakes his head at her worries, "My taste doesn't matter darling, the dress is beautiful and you are even more beautiful. It's a very flattering design on you."
He has such a way with words.
They take a few more pictures inside before moving outside to the colder weather, "Tigris didn't make you some temporary sleeves?" He teases when Soarynn rubs her arms for warmth. She shoots him a glare, not a fan of his silly little jokes, "Ha, ha. It's not her fault that the Snows insist on getting married in the cold of winter."
Coriolanus helps gather the majority of the dress so that they can safely walk down the steps leading to the Mansion's grounds, "It's a family tradition darling. And it gives me an excuse to wrap my arms around you." He does make a good point.
They take lots more pictures outside, some of them together, and some of them separately. Soarynn can hear lots of excited chatter and she looks up the steps to see the children have finally arrived, along with Eudora and the Preps who almost fall down the steps to rush to her aid when the wind blows her hair out of place.
"Help is on the way sweetie!" Imogen shouts, nearly twisting an ankle in her heels, "Don't fret!"
Coriolanus gives Soarynn an amused smile once she's surrounded by the four women dedicated to making sure she looks perfect today, "Oh you looked so gorgeous," Jadis tells her, fluffing out the train of the dress, "everyone loved the dress." Soarynn sets her hands on her hips while they fuss over her, still aware of the camera capturing her every move, "Thank you, ladies, your efforts didn't go unnoticed today." They all wave her off, insisting that it's a privilege to look after the First Lady of Panem.
Lavender eyes Coriolanus while he talks with the children who clearly have a lot to say about the wedding, "And may I just say, you snagged quite the good-looking man. Tall and good with children? He's a dream come true."
Soarynn laughs at her compliment, "Thank you, I do consider myself very lucky to be his wife."
After a few more minor touch-ups, the Preps declare that Soarynn is once again, "camera ready" and Coriolanus walks over to her with the children. The girls throw all etiquette out the window and run to Soarynn, smiles on their faces, curls bouncing, "We're back! We're back, did you miss us?"
Soarynn bends down once they reach her, holding their sweet faces in her hands, "I missed you so very much my darlings," she tells them, finding no lies in her words, "you were so wonderfully behaved today."
The girls bask in Soarynn's attention and compliment her dress once again, telling her that she's the prettiest princess in the entire world. Caspian uses fewer words to express his feelings about Soarynn's dress but he does reach out to touch it, "Pretty dress Momma," he says, feeling the tulle between his fingers. Soarynn grins and presses a kiss to his cheek, "Thank you, my sweet boy. You look so handsome in your suit, just like your father hmm?"
Coriolanus looks pleased with the comparison, he truly did gift Caspian all of his looks, making them nearly identical, "He'll be quite the ladies man when he gets older." Ceraphina scrunches her nose, "What's a 'ladies man' mean Daddy?"
Coriolanus clears his throat whole trying to come up with a sufficient, age-appropriate answer and Soarynn only gives him a knowing look, "Go on darling, tell the girls what you meant," she says, resting a hand on his arm.
"I'll tell you after dinner," he smoothly answers while pointing at the cameras, "right now we need to take some more photos."
Soaeynn chuckles at his attempts to divert the children's attention but it's successful once Eudora starts shouting at them to smile. Family photos can only last for so long until someone gets their feelings hurt or gets tired of smiling and in this case, it's Celeste who nearly starts crying when Ceraphina gets to take some photos with Coriolanus before she does.
"She always goes first," she cries with the stomp of her little foot. Soarynn ever so carefully crouches down until she's at eye-level with her youngest daughter, wiping away the single tear on Celeste's face, "Darling, he doesn't love you any less because you didn't get to go first. Your father doesn't have favorites, I've told you this before, he loves you all so very much."
Celesye sniffles, watching Coriolanus throw Ceraphian into the air while she shrieks with laughter, "Then why does she always get to go first?" Soarynn sighs, she wishes she had a good answer besides the obvious fact that Ceraphina is the oldest and people tend to do things in order.
"You know," Soarynn says quietly, leaning in as if sharing a big secret, "sometimes they save the best for last." Celeste gasps at her words, her blue eyes widening in amazement, "Really?"
Soarynn nods, crisis averted, "But don't tell anyone okay? This is our big secret." Soarynn holds out her pinky and Celeste does the same with her smaller pinky, locking them together in a sacred pinky promise, "Okay Mommy, I won't tell anyone." Soarynn feels her lips stretch into a big smile at Celeste not calling her by her first name, "Okay good. I knew I could count on you, darling."
A moment later Ceraphina comes skipping over to them, telling Celeste that it's now her turn with her father. "Are you having fun?" She asks Soarynn, folding her hands behind her back like the little Capitol lady she's been raised to be. Soarynn nods, so far she's had no complaints other than her feet are starting to hurt in these heels, "I am having fun, are you having fun?"
"Yep! Daddy says we can have dinner soon and then go dancing and then have cake!"
"You're very excited about the cake aren't you?"
Ceraphina's eyes twinkle with excitement, "Cake is so good! And we can have as much as we want, right?"
"Yes you can," Soarynn confirms, "as long as you don't make yourselves sick." Should the children eat too much and get a stomach ache, Soarynn won't even be here to deal with it. She'll be on her honeymoon which is a strange thought. She's grown so attached to the children, to her children and their daily routines. To step out of what she considers normal feels foreign to her.
"We won't," Ceraphina promises with a giggle, "oh look, it's time to go back inside." Soarynn looks back over at the small army of people they've procured over the past hour and sees Eudora waving at everyone to make their way back into the Mansion, "It's time to eat," she calls, "we can't afford to run behind schedule."
Celeste runs back over to Soarynn, her curls bouncing so much that her hairbow almost falls out, "C'mon Mommy!" She reaches her hand out for Soarynn and Soarynn has to actively contain her smile when she takes Celeste's small hand. "I'm coming," she tells her, making sure that Caspian isn't left behind but he's being quite independent right now, walking by himself, batting away any hands that are offered to him.
Coriolanus joins them, taking Ceraphina's hand as they climb up all the steps and Caspian does, eventually, ask to be carried. "The children will come with me so you two can make a separate entrance," Eudora explains, "we'll make sure all the guests are seated, make a toast," she nods at Coriolanus, "then the food will be served."
"When's the cake gonna come out?" Ceraphina asks, the rest of Eudora's plans going in one ear and out the other which nearly sends Eudora into a spiral. "After we dance sweetheart," Soarynn quickly answers, saving Ceraphina from getting a short lecture about listening to adults. Eudora's eye twitches but there's no time to waste, "Right, now come along children, time to find our seats."
The girls follow Eudora without question but Caspian seems more reluctant once he's set back down on his own two feet, "Momma come," he says, tugging on Soarynn's dress. She gives him a sad smile, "I'll be right behind you sweet boy, I promise. Go follow your sisters so we can see each other sooner."
Perhaps it's because he has Lenny in his other hand and his lion always manages to offer him some strength but Caspian reluctantly follows his sisters back into the ballroom, the Preps right after him, leaving Soarynn and Coriolanus alone once again.
Coriolanus wastes no time in wrapping an arm around Soarynn, pulling her against him and pressing a kiss to her cheek, "Have I told you how radiant you look today darling? The sun might as well stop shining since we have you around to light up the room."
Soarynn giggles at his shameless flirting, he's always been so charming, so effortless in knowing what to say. She rests her hands on his chest, feeling the rich fabric of his suit between her fingers, "You're really buttering me up aren't you Coryo?" He doesn't even seem ashamed and he pulls her in a little closer until only a few inches stand between their faces, "Well I already know for a fact that you taste delicious," he says quietly, his piercing blue eyes reflecting a deep desire that she's not entirely familiar with yet.
Soarynn feels her entire face turning pink with embarrassment, how can he say such things with so much confidence?
Coriolanus only chuckles when he sees her face and presses a soft, sweet kiss to her lips, a kiss that's patient and not at all lustful. Soarynn sighs into the kiss, giving into her husband's needs wholeheartedly. After all, she did vow to always be there for him no matter what.
When they pull away, she's breathless and it's not from the cold, "Celeste called me 'Mommy' a moment ago," she whispers, her lips stretching into a big smile unable to contain her excitement, "I didn't think the children would start so soon."
Coriolanus wears a proud expression on his face and kisses her forehead before loosening his grip on her waist, allowing for more distance to be put between them. "Well, Caspian has thought of you as his mother since the day you walked through the front door so I'm not surprised at all. Ceraphina will warm up to it once she hears her siblings using it, she remembers the most out of all of them."
Soarynn nods, he's right, of course, she does. Ceraphina is the oldest and therefore spent the most time with Livia before she passed, even if those moments weren't happy ones, she still remembers her mother.
It’s just such an exciting sign of progress for the children who have been forced to deal with grief at such a young age. Soarynn could barely pull herself together when her own father passed away and she was well into young adulthood. She supposes that it’s simply the life one must live when their father is the President of Panem, faced with challenges most children could never imagine.
But they've done exceedingly well so far in her opinion, never acting out in public, only getting into silly, minor arguments. They're angels really.
Angels that are now her angels and Soarynn will never take that for granted.

Ex!Choi Seungcheol x fem!reader
Hong Jisoo a.k.a. Joshua x fem!reader
Mistakes were made and consequences were learned but everything was easier said than done.
TW: angst, drinking, alcohol, hangovers, toxic!Scoups, cursing
A/n: here's a much needed sequel to Tolerate It that I definitely had fun writing. I just knew even before I finished the series that I would have to write a sequel focusing on Scoups' side after the break up cuz we need the FULL PLEDGED ANGST!!! I don't think you would need to read the series before this one but for the full context, I do recommend reading the series first. Anyways, enjoy reading caratdeul!

Tumblr media
Months have passed since the last time he saw you walk away from him on that very night. Since then, any sense of time or place has completely evaporated from Seungcheol’s life. It was all a blur of bars, hangovers, and regrets. There was no point in even getting frustrated with his current situation because he knew that there was no one to blame but him and his stupid decisions that cost him the most wonderful thing to have—and probably will be the only one—ever happen in his life.
Seungcheol’s eyes lazily glazed over the remains of his drunken stupor last night all over his apartment.
Correction: Jeonghan’s apartment.
His hangover may be giving him one of the worst headaches in the world right now. Still, it will never be enough to distract him from the fact that he couldn’t even get an apartment for himself. To be fair though, he’s successful enough financially to actually afford a big ass apartment. It wasn’t really a matter of “can” but is actually leaning more towards whether he has enough will to live in one himself and actually maintain it. Based on the number of bottles and leftover chips lying all around the couch and coffee table, there was no doubt that buying an apartment would just be the cherry on top of his sundae of mistakes.
Seungcheol sighed as he lay on his back on the floor, putting an arm around his eyes in an attempt to block off the light shining through the windows. The quiet of the apartment tells him that Jeonghan’s probably already gone to work. He honestly doesn’t know if it's the best thing to wake up to right now. On one side, he doesn’t have to listen to Jeonghan’s rants over how he’s wasting his life by drinking his troubles away and not even trying to fight for you in any way possible—Seungcheol doesn’t need to look at Jeonghan to know that those words were always accompanied by the concern and disappointment written all over his face. On the other hand, the quietness surrounding him only gives way for him to be left alone with his depressing thoughts.
It’s either God heard his silent prayers or Jeonghan has a “depressed best friend” radar on him but before his thoughts could swallow him whole once again, he heard the front door open and Jeonghan’s footsteps gradually replaced the sullen atmosphere.
“Choi Seungcheol!” Jeonghan called out, placing his keys and bag on the kitchen island near the entrance, “Where are you?”
“Aren’t you supposed to be at work right now?” Seungcheol grumbled as he sat up from his place on the floor.
Jeonghan scoffed, “It’s already 5 pm, dumbass. Of course, I’m done with work.” Jeonghan beelined for the couch in front of Seungcheol, carefully removing a bottle off the cushion and placing it on the coffee table. “And based on how you just responded to me, I’m assuming you haven’t eaten anything since last night?”
Seungcheol only smiled sheepishly and that was all Jeonghan needed to pick up his phone and begin ordering pizza for the both of them. But it was not without any complaints from Jeonghan about his neglect of himself that Seungcheol tried his best to ignore. Within 30 minutes, the living area was free of beer and chips and they were both lounging on the couch while munching on pizza slices.
“So,” Jeonghan swallowed the last of his pizza before continuing, “I got an invitation for the high school reunion on Saturday which means that you also got one as well.” Jeonghan looked at Seungcheol expectantly but he only took another bite out of his slice without saying anything back.
Jeonghan sighed, taking a gulp out of his glass of water, “You could at least try to pretend that you’re interested in anything other than getting wasted.”
Seungcheol rolled his eyes, leaning back with his arms crossed, “Well, I’m sorry if my misery is such a burden to you. It's not like I forced you to take me in and take care of me as if I’m a child that you were forced to babysit.”
Jeonghan suddenly slammed the glass on the table making Seungcheol flinch, looking at him with wide eyes, “Wha—”
“You know what,” Jeonghan hissed, “That attitude is the reason why you’re now here in this situation, all alone with no goal in your life whatsoever. You are a depressed little shit that’s also a jerk to someone that is actually here for you ever since you were left to deal with the consequences of your actions.”
Seungcheol opened his mouth to defend himself but Jeonghan beat him to it.
“No, scratch that. You haven’t dealt with any of those consequences even just a little bit. You’re a coward who’s drowning himself in alcohol instead of actually facing your problems like an actual human being. No wonder they left you. I mean, if you were my partner, I would’ve left you too even without the cheating. You are a selfish bastard who’s actually acting like a little brat that didn’t get his way.”
It was silent after that.
The tension in the air made Seungcheol fidget in his seat. There was nothing to say. Seungcheol knew deep down that everything he said was true and it was one hell of a wake up call for him when he realized that it all came from Jeonghan, himself. It wasn’t an out of character thing for Jeonghan to get pissed off and say all of those things when needed but it definitely wasn’t a common thing for him to do. So when he actually experienced it first hand, Seungcheol knew that he was right and it was time to be a better person.
Jeonghan breathed deeply, rubbing his face in an attempt to ground himself, “I’m sorry. That was really mean of me to say that.”
“No, you were right. I’m being a jerk.”
Jeonghan only smiled in response before taking another slice of pizza. Seungcheol bit his bottom lip in thought, debating whether or not he should do it. But looking around his best friend’s apartment, he knew that he should at least repay his kindness by showing up at that goddamn reunion as a peace offering.
“So, what time is this reunion?”
~~~
He’s already regretting his decision and he hasn’t even gotten out of his car yet.
But to be fair though, all he’s ever done up until now is regret everything so it’s not really much of a surprise. What does break the cycle is the fact that he’s now also determined to go through with this decision, not just for the sake of keeping his promise to Jeonghan but also for the sake of taking a step towards moving on.
Seungcheol huffed, “Definitely easier said than done.”
He hesitantly got out of his car and made his way towards the entrance of the hotel where the event was being conducted. He won’t admit to anything but the hotel clerk definitely saw the way his hand shook with nerves as he pressed the button to the elevator.
Reaching the floor leading to the function hall, he was suddenly bombarded with the realization that he was about to meet with people he hadn’t seen for quite a long time which meant he’d also be bombarded with questions about his current status in life. That almost made him turn around and go back inside the elevator but before he could, he heard his name shouted from the other side of the room. Turning towards the sound, he saw Joshua, one of his closest high school friends, walking towards him with a wide smile on his face.
Going in for a hug, Joshua exclaimed, “Oh my god! It’s been so long since I last saw you! How have you been?”
Returning the hug, Seungcheol chuckled, “I’ve been good. How about you?”
“All the same.” Joshua smiled before looking around, “Have you seen Jeonghan? I thought he was coming with you .”
 “He’ll be late. He had a work thing to do before this.”
“Oh, got it. Well, come on then. Let’s wait for him inside. Oh but first, you should get yourself registered.” Joshua then led him to the registration table at the front of the hall.
“For what?”
“All registered attendees have a chance to win the raffle by the end of the night and I’m sure as hell won’t be going home without that massage chair.”
Once they were done, Joshua slung an arm around Seungcheol’s shoulder, leading him toward a table near the exit. A couple of their former classmates who were also sitting at the table waved at them as they sat down before returning to their own conversations. Seungcheol can’t really blame them for their nonchalance when he isn’t really one of the popular kids in high school before. It was both a comforting and slightly disappointing experience.
Long story short, the whole event was a bore. The only thing that made it all worthwhile was Joshua’s company and the hilarious timing of Jeonghan’s late arrival when he arrived just in time to be called onto the stage as they reminisced about his reputation as the school’s heartthrob. The look on his face was certainly one for the books and Seungcheol will make sure he will never live this down.
Throughout it all, he can’t help but be distracted whenever he catches glimpses of Joshua typing on his phone with this lovestruck smile. It was the kind of smile that would make you say that he’s definitely down bad. The champagne couldn’t remove the bitter taste it gave him no matter how hard he tried. And he would’ve kept on drinking if Jeonghan hadn’t tipped off the waiter to stop giving him anymore.
He remembered the times he felt that way when it came to you. He probably even had the exact same smile that Joshua had right now every time he thought of you. But all of that was gone now and what was left was the murder scene of your relationship, the bloody knife in his hand. All because he doesn’t have any amount of decency within himself to actually keep the most sacred—and frankly, the easiest—principle when it comes to relationships. Loyalty.
His silent pity party was interrupted by Joshua’s sudden call of his name. Looking up at him, he noted the bag slung over his shoulder and the fact that he looked like he was about to spring up from his chair with excitement.
“What’s up?” Seungcheol asked.
“I need to go.”
“What? Why?”
Maybe it was the way the stage lights changed as the host announced something but the darkness of the hall can never mask the way Joshua’s entire being lit up at the chance to talk about his partner.
“My girl just told me something great that happened at her work and we’re going out to celebrate.”
Seungcheol’s eyebrows raised, “You won’t finish the event first? I’m sure she could wait for a bit. We haven’t even reached the raffle part yet.”
Joshua laughed. Seungcheol could’ve sworn it was mixed with bewilderment but he was probably a little bit drunk enough to hallucinate things.
“Dude, we’re talking about my girl here. Nothing comes before her.”
“Even the massage chair?”
“Especially the massage chair.”
“She must have been one hell of a girl.”
Joshua chuckled to himself, “Oh, you have no idea.”
“Well if you’re leaving, then so am I.” Seungcheol wiped his mouth with the table napkin before standing up.
“Are you sure? What about Jeonghan?”
“I’m sure. Besides, I’ve had enough reunion drama that could last me a lifetime. As for Jeonghan,” Seungcheol roamed his eyes around, finally pinpointing Jeonghan at the other side of the room chatting with a former student council member. “I’m sure he doesn’t mind me leaving early. I’ll just meet up with him back at home.”
They both left the hall as quietly as they could, silently thanking the heavens that they chose to sit right next to the exit. As they reached the elevators, Joshua turned to him with a puzzled look on his face, “What do you mean home?”
The elevator doors dinged open. Seungcheol entered first and was followed by Joshua. With a hesitant pause as Joshua pressed the ground floor button, Seungcheol replied, “I’ve kinda been temporarily living in Jeonghan’s apartment for a few months now.”
“Huh? Don’t you, like, have a penthouse uptown?”
“I do.”
“Then, why?”
”It’s kind of a long story.”
“My girlfriend wouldn’t be here until later anyway. I’ve got time.”
The elevator finally reached the ground floor, giving Seungcheol a bit of reprieve from the conversation as they exited. But based on the pointed look that Joshua gave him as they stood outside the hotel waiting for his girlfriend, that little bit of relief wouldn’t last as long as he would’ve wanted to.
Seungcheol crossed his arms, biting his bottom lip as he inhaled deeply. Embarrassment and shame made his stomach churn. There’s no chance at all that he can change the subject when it comes to Joshua. Somehow, that boy just has the uncanny ability to get the truth out of everyone he talks to no matter what, and honestly, Seungcheol doesn’t have the energy to deal with his stubborn tendencies.
“I made a big mistake and now I’m left to deal with the consequences of it all.”
It was a vague answer. Seungcheol knows it. Joshua definitely knows it. He was about to say something before he was interrupted by a woman calling his name. Turning to the source of the voice, Seungcheol’s breath hitched.
It was you.
The girl Joshua was lovingly talking about was you.
Memories of you flooded his brain as he watched you walk towards them. By the way that you still had a bounce on your steps, he was sure you still hadn’t recognized him. But once you got closer, there was an unmistakable pause in your next step and your face drained of all of its colors. At the corner of his eye, he can see Joshua’s face immediately contort in concern. Meeting you halfway, that’s when Joshua finally clocked on to the fact that you weren’t looking at him but at Seungcheol who was behind him. He glanced back at him before facing you once again. Seungcheol watched as he asked you if everything was alright, wrapping an arm around your waist in a protective manner as if sensing the tension between the two of you. His jaw clenched at the sight knowing that he should’ve been the one protecting you and not the one that you’re being protected from.
It felt like it was one of the hardest things to do but you finally turned away from Seungcheol to look at Joshua in the eye. You nodded, whispering a reassuring yes and feeling Joshua’s grip on you tighten a bit before letting go in favor of holding your hand. You squeezed his hand three times and by the way Joshua smiled, you knew he got the message. You couldn’t help but smile back when Joshua squeezed your hand in the same manner.
Seungcheol wanted to vomit right then and there.
Joshua looked back up at him, “Well, we have to go if we ever want to actually reach that little hilltop before the park closes but I’m not done talking to you.” Joshua pointed his forefinger and middle finger at him, going back and forth in Seungcheol’s direction and his own eyes.
Seungcheol forced a laugh, trying his best not to react at the realization that the hilltop he was talking about was something you’d been wishing for the both of you to do for so long before everything went to shit. If possible, a big neon light would’ve already sprung up from behind him with the words “jerk” smacked dab in the middle of it, one end of the sign forming an arrow that was pointed at him.
Seungcheol could only nod in return before Joshua bid him goodbye, walking down the direction of his car that was parked in front of the hotel with you by his side. He watched as you paused for a bit when Joshua opened the car door for you. You glanced back at him one last time, a small smile on your face, before entering the passenger side.
That just made things harder for him because he knew that smile was genuine. Even the thought of you hating him and giving all this energy to despise him would only make him feel worse because he knows that all he deserves is nothing but indifference from you.
Now that he was left standing alone on the side of the street, the tail light of Joshua’s car gradually getting smaller as the distance between you got wider, all he could think about was the thought that you were at least in the hands of someone better. That was enough for him to finally have the will to discard the alcohol bottles around the apartment once he got home and actually move on with a lighter heart.
For years Steven had essentially been locked up inside Marc’s mind unknowingly, of course he caught blips, little pieces of Marc’s life, and short memories that Marc purposely shoved down to the deepest depths of their brain, yet even now with Steven fronting on his own much more often he still was missing so much.
Steven had yet to experience any holidays, though knowing Marc wasn’t exactly a fan of any of them, he still wanted to see them for himself, feel them for himself. Even though Marc and Layla hadn’t really celebrated Valentine's Day during their marriage, Steven still felt he was missing out.
Which of course is when you come in, Steven’s first real partner, he didn’t get you all to himself, but despite sharing you with Marc and Jake, Steven knew he was your very best friend, taking out romance completely you had always been close with him. Making him feel special and loved when he needed it most, and now he has the privilege to replace “love” with “my love” when speaking to you.
Steven just had to make this day special for you. Marc had his day earlier in the month, Jake planned for next weekend but Steven, Steven insisted he get the 14th. He needed the full experience even if it meant fighting with Donna to get off work early on a Wednesday afternoon.
Steven spent all of Tuesday night at the shops, getting chocolate and your favorite snacks, options just in case you didn’t like the snacks or candy you did previously.
He loaded everything up into a pink basket, half believing it was actually an easter basket. Steven ignored the suspicious feeling about the basket though, dismissing it as unimportant before moving on to buy two of the books on your TBR, ignoring every mirror in the place and snarky remarks from Marc and sarcastic jokes from Jake about Steven outdoing both of them.
It’s only Valentine’s Day, Steven.
But it was so much more than that.
But he did ditch the easter basket.
What Steven had yet to realize was that you thought so too.
Today was just as special for you as it was for Steven, because of Steven, actually.
Yes, you had loved the sweet night in with just you and Marc, but with Steven and Jake, you had planned for just a little more, it was practically Steven’s first Valentine’s Day, it had to be special, just like your Steven was.
You had hung heart-shaped decorations up on the few lights in Steven’s apartment, a vinyl you had just bought him on the record player playing softly in the background as you threw a few rose petals across the kitchen counter opting that it would be an easier cleanup then anywhere else in Steven’s cluttered (but of course, comfy) apartment.
Looking around you were pretty stumped on what to add for decor, before deciding to rummage through some of Steven's cabinets in hopes you'd find a vase, if so, you could buy him flowers, you couldn't think of anyone who would love them more.
“Yes!” you shouted happily as you found a vase hidden behind the bowls, now why would he have them with the bowls? You ignored the questions in your head and seemingly missed the sound of the front door opening and closing due to all of your excitement.
“Oh my days” that you heard, the sound of Steven’s voice filled with surprise and adoration filled your ears as you turned around, not even attempting to hide your disappointment in not being able to get Steven any flowers but the moment you laid eyes on his wide eyes, and agape mouth all of it melted away, quickly replaced by a smile.
“Surprise!” You lifted your arms as if to gesture to your surroundings as Steven finally turned to look at you. “Oh, my love, this is” He paused as he looked around again before continuing. “This is incredible.”
You gasped at the flowers in his hands, rushing over to him and pecking his cheek before taking them from him and quickly rushing back to your vase. Well, Steven’s vase really but finders keepers and all that.
Steven looked back at you, almost in a daze as he followed your movements into the kitchen. “You got off early, I wanted to get you flowers but-” Steven cut you off as you set the pretty bouquet in the glass, “We can share” he abandoned the bag of miscellaneous snacks on petal covered counter and instead used his hands to pull you away from the fresh flowers by your waist.
“Happy V-day, Stevie” You smiled at him, earning one back in return. “All this for me?” Steven’s voice was quieter now that you were closer, soft eyes gazing at you most lovingly.
“It’s your first Valentine’s Day, had to make it special for you.”
Steven responded with a hug this time, shoving his face in the crook of your neck as your hands moved to hold onto his old grandpa sweater.
“Hey, are there any sour strips in that bag?” You asked, words muffled by his shoulder as he chuckled, leaning back just enough to see that look in your eyes that matched his perfectly.
“Of course, there is, love.” “Oh, he loves me!” Your excited words earned an actual laugh this time and a nod of agreement. “I grabbed as many of your favorites as I could remember, only the best for my first Valentine,” Steven said, releasing his hold on you to begin emptying the bag of goodies. You didn’t take too long to join his side, quiet ohs and ahs as he set everything in front of you.
“I was planning on cooking tonight, surprise you with dinner when you got off, but now maybe we could do it together, yeah?” Your soft tone only added to his smile.
“What’s for dinner, my love?”
Hello! Thank you for the opportunity <3
I'd love to see Kyojuro with this refrain "Se eu tivesse a força que você pensa que você pensa que eu tenho, eu gravaria do metal da minha pele o teu desenho."
Translating to english: "If I had the strength you think I do, I'd grave in the metal of my skin your silhouette."
Engenheiros do Havaí- 3x4
Again, thank you so much, kisses from Brazil.
❥ 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚎𝚎-𝚋𝚢-𝚏𝚘𝚞𝚛 (𝟹𝚡𝟺) | 𝚔𝚢𝚘𝚓𝚞𝚛𝚘 𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚘𝚔𝚞
if i had the strength you think i do, i’d grave in the metal of my skin your silhouette.
one would think that the life of a retired hashira would be easier than active duty. unfortunately, this is not the case when you live with kyojuro rengoku.
he’s made quite the point that even though he’s out of commission for missions, he won’t cease contributing to the demon slayer corps. this is evident through his dedication to training his tsuguko — and yours too by association.
from sun-up to sundown he works tirelessly, instructing and demonstrating and encouraging the young slayers to be their best. and when you’re not away on missions, you’re always right on his tail, doing your best to assist him however you can.
today has been a rare downtime for you both. with several tsuguko away on a mission and less-than-ideal training conditions, kyojuro let them have an easy day. after the intensity of last week’s regiment, they all deserved a much-needed break.
the bulk of the exercises have been done for the day, and the sun is beginning to set, washing the courtyard and front lawn in beautiful golden tones. it illuminates kyojuro’s equally bright smile from where he’s sitting across from you on the porch, overseeing the tsuguko wind down with light stretching. his eye is focused on them, but yours are admiring how lovely he looks when he’s enjoying himself.
“they’re showing tremendous improvement, don’t you think?” he insists, earnest glint alight in his eye.
“mhm,” you hum in agreement, unable to contain a smile. you nudge his leg gently with your own. “thanks to their brilliant master.”
he laughs, somewhat bashful. “the credit can’t go to me alone. each of them puts in tremdous effort—and so do you! i couldn’t do it without your help, my love.”
you scoot closer, close enough to take his hand and nestle yourself comfortably against his side. your fingers idly trace the scars along his skin, the reminders of his tireless work  to keep others safe.
“you’re modest, kyo. your drive is infectious. they’re motivated by you, by your strength and courage.”
“you are my strength and courage, darling,” he admits. “i mean it when i say i couldn’t do this without you. every day since i met you, since i fell for you, you are the reason i get up in the mornings. the reason i would fight—why i still fight in the ways i’m able—for your safety and wellbeing.”
his sentiment brings a great smile to your face as you gaze out at the scene, taking it all in. the sunset, the tsugukos, the sprawling lands beyond the flame estate, the man you love by your side.
“you know what, kyo? i think we’re doing pretty good.”
Beach/Pool Headcanon Mini-scenario
A/N: Another one of the wip drafts. idk I want to go out but the heat wave is like nah TT A TT
Warnings: some mention of suggestive scenes (more towards light teasing fluff so get your head out of the gutter >:[)
Donnie
He'll be in slight denial that he doesn't need your help with his unfortunate fear towards beach balls but...
- He will at least cling on to you once or twice during the trip. (especially when some group of kids accidentally toss the ball near him)
Has a separate battle shell mainly as an extra beverage storage space. (he did lie about having extra ice during that one man vs sewer episode from one of his other battle shells so... He probably made this one as another bored invention idea until some heat waves finally gave a good purpose for it)
- He'll still ask for something in return so just be aware of that, if you really want a cool drink from him. Just be glad he's somewhat nicer to you and April because, there were a few times where the power slowly got to his head during a heat wave where the air conditioner was broken for a few weeks...
He will definitely bug you about putting on sunscreen. (whether or not, you already had some before the road trip started)
- But the moment he sees you struggling to put some on your back, he'll silently help you despite his discomfort with the lotion's greasy texture. And his curiosity gets the best of him, briefly catching sight of your bare chest once you put your shirt back on. As he uses a towel to get rid of the leftover sunscreen on his hands.
"I don't mind you looking respectfully~"
"Please do not suggest such thoughts to my mind. Since you forgot to apply said sunscreen before meeting up at the rendezvous point..."
Sometimes observes marine life by the beach. Following the usual guidelines at a safe distance but...
- Very much glares at seagulls. One of them will always steal some french fry or other piece of food from him. You pretty much have to hold him back before he starts causing a scene at these feathery fiends.
Definitely takes naps on one of his float rings or inflatable pool float rafts.
- His brothers will always try to stack something on his shell before he wakes up from the giggling or the weight annoying him in his sleep.
He doesn't mind either the pool or beach and will probably list the pro vs cons towards those two.
- However, if he has to be the one to balance out a potential tiebreaker. He slightly leans in favor of pools. Easier to sneak into at night and replace the security footage with his edited video of no one in sight during the time frame you guys were there.
Leo
One of the few times, he'll help Donnie with planning ahead for the beach and/or pool trip, because he's excited to go there.
- A little more towards the beach than the pool. There's more sights to see near the beach and while he likes the lazy approach of the pool. The beach just fits that part of the aquatic turtle in him.
If everyone ends up lounging around the pool, he'll easily get bored of it.
- He'll likely bother you first so his brothers can enjoy the chill vibe. Before Raph gets the uneasy feeling, you somehow got wrapped up in some part of the red slider turtle's scheme for a playful prank.
Slightly decent at beach volleyball but, still not the greatest at surfing.
- Sometimes includes mystic powers into beach volleyball but, only when the coast is clear. (Often being around the late hours which is very rare.) Doesn't practice surfing as much he wants to and will often have some seaweed on his head after crashing from a bad wave. A few bumps and bruises on his knees when he's not that careful. And sort of gives up after a few hours before focusing his attention on something else.
Likes to pretend he's your personal tour guide. Knowing the ideal places for the best time, well spent for these summer getaways.
- He tries to keep note of the upcoming events so he can surprise you with something different to end the night with. Granted he might slip up on some details since he's a bit busy with the leader duty so... Its one of the rare instances he's nervous around you.
Sometimes a little thief when it comes to your food. Sneaking a bite from a sandwich you've been craving for in a long while or swapping a bag of chips he's almost done with yours that you just opened.
- Used to take a few sips from your drink. Until Donnie had a smirk explaining...
"A big shame that's your first kiss with (Y/N)."
"You could have easily gone with the classic kiss on the lips but..."
"Nardo decided to settle with an indirect kiss-"
The red slider turtle sat in the turtle taxi with a 30 minute timeout. No regrets or shame yeeting a beach ball via a surprise portal behind his softshell turtle brother.
Has a really bad habit staring at you whenever you're in awe at some event taking place during sunset or the night sky being generous enough to send a cool gentle breeze in your direction.
- You literally take his breath away sometimes that it can almost feel suffocating, when its just the two of you together. In full denial while having a blushing face saying nothing's wrong. Really hoping you don't notice how much these moments really mean to him.
Raph
Tries to end the evening with a beach bonfire with just the two of you. Often with him starting a friendly competition of who could gather the most driftwood. So he doesn't accidentally stumble on his words in an attempt to ask you out on an actual date.
- Sadly, the moment doesn't last that long with his family surprising you guys with s'mores and other treats before Raph lets you win.
However, Leo sometimes helps out through a subtle manner so he's a bit of a wingman to Raph. So Raph's slightly getting better at this plan.
Sometimes leans into you because of your body heat and the hot weather making him a bit sleepy.
- Regardless how you feel about your skin, he still thinks its really soft.
He almost wanted to throw Leo or Donnie into ocean because... According to Mikey, one of them got a photo of Raph's face almost a little too close to resting beside your thighs. You still reassured him not to worry about it. Especially getting back at those two with a little prank you have been wanting to try on them.
Whether you're short or tall, Raph wants to make sure you get the best seat in the house. So you're sometimes sitting on his shoulder to get a better view.
- He still asks if some of the spiky scales are hurting you but, you usually use your hoodie/jacket or spare towel as extra protection to avoid hurting his feelings.
Very much sneaks up on his brothers while pretending to be shark whenever he's swimming (both pool or beach)
- Almost got in trouble when Mikey's scream broke one of the glass windows at an indoor pool place. So he only wears the fake fin on his shell unless they're sneaking to a pool at night.
Really likes the crunch sound from biting into crabs and/or lobster shells.
- While his wallet will take a hit, the alligator snapping turtle is just very happy to enjoy the once a year surf and turf restaurant experience.
And very much unaware of his brothers and Splinter's expressions, with a tiny bit of worry how strong the red one's bite really is.
More likely to pick the beach and might be slightly indifferent to pools.
- He can sort of tolerate the overcrowded energy from the beach but, the pool might be more unbearable if the place can't make room for him. Similar to Donnie's choice in favor of the pool, its better at night especially when surveillance cameras are temporary on hold by the purple turtle's tech.
Mikey
Given how he's the shortest of his siblings, he prefers to stick by the shallow waters of the pool.
- And a few horror themed movie nights along with some documentary videos of his turtle counterpart not being the best at swimming, kind of made him afraid towards the idea of swim training at night.
Likes to wander around seaside themed shops for potential souvenirs.
- He tries to limit himself to just one. Or at least something that captures the vibes of the trip. And when he can't, he's more content to put that idea for the next art project.
Instantly picks the beach over the pool. He still doesn't mind either of the two options but, he can probably name more fun ideas close to the beach.
- Especially more excited by new or returning events near the boardwalk.
Even if you're wearing the most tackiest or boring swimsuit, Mikey will still give a heartfelt compliment to your beach/pool outfit.
- Although he'll really blush more if you go all out with all sorts of vibrant orange colors.
Always likes to get you snacks or a few drinks by the boardwalk.
- He might have said a few white lies to get a discount for couple's only ones but, all that matters to him is that you're having a good time!
Since you gave the okay that he can draw you sometimes, the beach setting is where he truly shines in his artistic vision.
- But, there's been times where he's hesitant to show his sketchbook to you. Often blushing at you when the sunset gives the perfect angle showcasing your beauty. Or his brothers giving him embarrassing feedback mostly at his work in progress sketch, not at you.
@aghoulishomega okay so in my hcs Mountain is ace. before he joined the band he had never had sex and even after that it took a while before he did end up engaging in any sort of sexual situation with someone else (and all of this is okay!!). (everything else under the cut cus its kinda long sbfbbfhhd)
there was definitely a lot of shame he felt around his feelings towards sex. he was meant to be a demon from hell filled with insatiable lust !! he played in a band that was all about sex and sexual freedom and fucking each other !! all of his bandmates were constantly in and out of each other's beds !! he didnt feel like he was a ghoul. he felt like something inside him was broken. when he first joined the band he would make excuses and leave every time he thought someone was trying to come onto him. soon enough the ghouls just stopped bothering and honestly that made him feel even worse. he was just a nuisance.
he goes to the confessional and talks to Terzo about all of it. they both know that he knows its Mountain but for the earth ghoul its just easier to not do it face to face. Terzo's heart breaks thinking about how scared and alone one of his ghouls had been feeling but explains asexuality to him. tells him that yes the idea of sexual freedom means being able to fuck whoever you want as much as you want without judgement, but sometimes that looks like not wanting to have sex with anyone too. and thats perfectly fine and okay to want. Mountain definitely cries over it when he gets back to his room because oh my god he finally has an answer to the way hes been feeling his whole adult life.
he keeps it to himself for a while, knowing that his pack would be supportive no matter what but still feeling that nervousness over telling them. but when he works up the courage to do it they all smother him in the biggest hug ever and let him know how loved he is. that evening Dew turns up outside his room. it takes a bit but he tells Mountain that hes also ace, just on a different part of the spectrum. hes not sex repulsed and he enjoys sex he just doesnt feel much attraction or want to do it most of the time. they bond over their shared asexuality quite a lot that night and end up falling asleep together in Mountain's bed, something the earth ghoul had been so afraid of letting happen with anyone before in case they thought the wrong things about the situation. he didnt want to lead anyone on.
over the prequelle era Mountain definitely gets closer to his new pack and even closer to Dew. they love each other very much and are probably closer to each other than any other members of the pack. it happens on one night on tour. theyre snuggling up in a hotel bed together and Mountain looks down at Dew and fuck is he the prettiest ghoul hes ever seen. he tilts Dew's head up to kiss him softly on the lips but when he pulls away he feels Something. hes not sure what the feeling is but hes suddenly feeling very sensitive in certain areas and incredibly embarrassed about it. Dew realises his shift in demeanour and asks him if hes okay. Mountain starts to slowly try and explain whats going on and Dew understands. he tells Mountain that its his choice what he wants to do with these feelings. he tells him that he'll help in any way Mountain wants him to, even if that means leaving him on his own if thats what he needs, to which Mountain grabs onto his wrist and quickly tells him thats not what he wants at all. Dew smiles and settles into back into the bed and asks him what he wants to do. one thing leads to another and they end up having soft, clumsy sex for the first time together. Dew focuses everything on Mountain, making sure hes comfortable and feeling safe and that he knows they can stop at any time. Mountain is so nervous but also he wants this. he wants to have sex with Dew. and when his orgasm is over hes glad that he chose to do it.
sex is still something only he and Dew share together and its always so loving and soft and caring. just another expression of their deep love for one another rather than of sexual desire.
