I’m in a very axe-y mood this year, can you tel? Before putting it up on the wall display, I took some better snaps of the Nordic Battle Axe. This thing it huge, about 150cm, but it weighs nothing at all (nothing at all~). It’s detachable in 3 places for easy transport! Adventures with foam and Rub n Buff wax paints. Acrylics and wax paints are ideal for foam if you are concerned about the flex of your prop or armor causing cracks in your paint job. I happened to have Rub n Buff already on hand, so I’m using Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf on my battle axe to attain a really metallic shine. I will have to shade this, but with just the base layers of silver and gold in place, my weapon certainly is popping. It’s also SUPER light as it’s made entirely out of foam from @tntcosplaysupply and some PVC pipe. For creating my wings, I use different types of feathers: plain with the smooth edges, with carved edges and, my favorite😍 - feathers with texture! I developed them from the scratch and really proud of the result! Wings with them are real Luxury Wings! Happy Syndulla Sunday!! WOW IT’S BEEN A WEEKEND! I competed in the masquerade at @wondercon last night and won Best Technical Costume Construction from @motionpicturecostumers! Home now! Super tired but had an amazing time at Play EXPO Blackpool 😄 lots of games were played and many were bought! ❤ can't believe I won the costume comp again❤ was unexpected!
