Valentino’s hat! I just figured I would show the process, making this and Lucifer‘s hats are my favorite parts of those commissions! For some reason making hats is very satisfying. That being said, I do not make hats alone as commissions, only as part of a full costume!

New commission: Anastasia! I went a little ham on crystals on this, but I think they’re hard to see in photos. There’s thousands of them on the skirt and bodice, and I used multiple layers of light, airy fabrics so the skirt really flows beautifully and flares out! I’m so excited to see this on my customer!

𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. 𝐖𝐄 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒! Fury Road meant so much to me, and I wanted to make a costume based on the War Rig. Every part of it tied in in some way, and also w some aspects of Furiosa since they are an inseparable force during the movie: •Boots are obviously the thick treaded tires. Added the spikes to the toes, heels, & thighs bc the tires have the harsh metal defensive spikes on the rims •Full ballgown style train 7 feet long to emulate the long trailer of the truck, rust colored dupioni silk (which hurt to burn & cut holes into), lined in a sheer chiffon black equally tattered. •On the train I added spiraling tattered rust & black trails that replicate the way the metal jagged spirals around the trailer of the truck. •Cow Catcher! Obviously the cow catcher that sits in the very front of the WR was the “corset” •The belt is Furiosa’s belt, Immortan Joe’s emblem with the chains that hang from it. •For the boobs I went with a chrome texture that got as close to the perforated chrome metal of the upper exhausts of the War Rig •Right arm is her femur gear shift that has the rusted, rough blade hidden in it, easy to get to! •Left arm is the “Phantom skeleton arm” Furiosa herself painted on the War Rig as her missing left arm •The groups of spikes & skulls on the front and rear ends of the trailer are worn on my shoulders and rump! •The cowcatcher and spikes, as well as the belt buckle are all made of Thibra! I posted some how-tos along the way! •I thought about doing no hair like Furiosa, but then realized that would bring the costume too close to her & ppl would think I’m doing a weird version of her entirely instead of the truck, so went with black chopped hair, with the chrome feathers on one ear to look a little like the tall exhausts on the top of the cab •There’s a few other little movie bonuses hidden on the costume hardcore fans will get. Don’t ask me exactly where this is, it’s somewhere on a road with absolutely nothing for miles between New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah on the Navajo Nation. Literally just saw a great scenic area and off roaded! I’ve been busy 💀 📷 @rob.somers.fit

New Commission: Card Captor Sakura! The show had so many cute designs, I’ve done several now, but there’s so many more I’d still like to make! Normally I don’t do commissions for little kids, but this was for a fantastic customers daughter, and it’s so cute I really wanted to make it! The wings have wire in them so they are poseable, super fluffy petticoat, all accessories included. We gave it an adjustable back so it can grow with her a little!

It took 4 months but FINALLY got pics of my Hannah Alexander Nami! I made this for KaizokuCon in Ireland back in March, since it's a pirate themed con, but I didn't get to do a shoot there due to the nonstop rain. I've been trying so hard to catch up on shoots this summer, the weather has not cooperated at all but I'm doing my best!
