More Random SBG headcanons

Taylor loves any form of photo opportunity, but her favorite would be photo booths. If she sees one she will drag anyone, mainly Tyler, into one to take pictures. She has an album somewhere full of these photos, and the first photo in the book is of her, Tyler, her mom, and her dad when they were little at an aquarium.

Aiden is great at video games. Since he was left home alone often, he probably turned to video games for entertainment. Considering Aiden’s tendency to seek out thrills, he would probably turn to horror or timed games.

It is 2016 I’m allowed to say this, Aiden was a FNAF kid, and I feel like the twins might have been as well. Taylor watched a lot of playthroughs as a kid and got Tyler into it so they would watch it together. Tyler was freaked out by it and refused to watch it in full screen, he probably went to the comments to look for a jump scare list. Aiden is a lore freak, if given an opportunity he would give a several-hour-long spiel about the entire timeline.

Firm believer that Logan’s glasses have Coke bottle lenses. This is probably not true, I just think it would be funny if his lenses went out of the frames.

Baron is terrified of Tyler. Not in the way that Tyler would beat him in a fight, but because the baseball coach would be fond of him. Tyler already puts a lot of his effort toward his sport, so he probably has a closer relationship with the coach than the other players. So if Tyler were to tell the coach the shit this guy does, I feel like he could do some damage to Barron. The only reason Tyler hasn’t told the coach about everything that Barron has done is because Barron is a valuable player for him. After all, if the team looks good, then he’ll look good for scholarships.

Ashlyn gets cold pretty easily. In the winter she has to look like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man so she can be somewhat comfortable. I thought that the it was called the State-Puff Marshmallow Man my life is a lie

Ashlyn is also pretty muscular because she does ballet— lean muscle. Ballet requires so much control and strength to pull off, so it would only make sense. Have you seen how buff ballerinas are?

Both Aiden and Taylor were scary movie and scary game fans. Aiden loves the thrill of the stories, and Taylor loves creepy/eerie things as we saw with her enthusiasm in a haunted tour of the Sorrel Weed House. When they hang out, they either watch a recent horror movie that came out or a new game that Aiden had gotten.

Ben, Logan, and Tyler, however, can not handle horror and they get jumpy around it. Ben and Logan openly express that they don’t care for the genre, but Tyler just kind of avoids it/does not want to admit he is scared by it. If they have to watch a horror movie, Logan will be curled up in a blanket near Ashlyn covering his eyes to avoid the jump scares(he fails miserably), and Ben is huddled up around Taylor and Aiden because their presence comforts him. Tyler is either sitting somewhat apart from the group or on the other side of Ashlyn trying to act tough, he is failing miserably, resulting in Aiden, Taylor, and Ashlyn teasing him.

Mike and Emma treat all of the kids as if they were their own. At first, I think they were mainly fond of them because they were Ashlyn’s first and only friends as well as them always being at their house. I think it also has something to do with the fact that they spent at least a month teaching them self-defense to protect themselves and each other. Finding out about everyone’s situation, I think they just want to protect them.

Speaking of the previous headcanon, Tyler sees Mike as a father figure, and it kind of just eats at him/leaves him with some conflicting feelings. He is a bit envious of Ashlyn for having such caring parents, and it comes with a bit of guilt when he looks at her for a while. I think Mike realizes this and tries to be there for him. I don’t think it is the same for Taylor because Tyler stepped up to that role, similar to the relationship between Katara and Sokka in Avatar the Last Airbender.

The Right Way To Address Both Human & Non-Humans (In Undertale/Deltarune And Beyond To The Multiverse)

we all know that when Humans say “for the love of Humanity”

or any form of phrase that has to do with “Humanity”

but when we think about the other races and species besides Humans,

that live in worlds like Undertale/Deltarune, Cuphead, Hazbin Hotel, Steven Universe, Red Vs Blue, My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic/Equestria Girls, Ducktales (both the classic and reboot), the Powerpuff Girls (all different versions of it, including the Awesome Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi, which is my top favorite because of certain reasons), Danny Phantom, Ben 10 (my top fave of the Ben 10 series, is Omniverse.), Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Invader Zim

and all other cartoon or video game or comic series,

that has Anthropomorphic or Alien Cartoon Characters....

oh yeah and Mass Effect series, being a CGI Video Game.

not all the characters will be Human, even if they are Humanoid or Anthropomorphic.

the correct way to include both Humans and Non-Humans,

isn’t by using the word Humanity, that would just be for Humans only...

so in all the series in the Ficto-Multiverse.

the word Omnimanity can be used for Humans and Non-Humans.

like both Undertale and Deltarune, both in Canon and Fanon...

have both Humans, Monsters and even Tulpa (the Darkners being Tulpa is my Headcanon and it be awesome if it turns out that is what the Darkners are, that they are in fact Tulpa.)

but all three of the races can’t go by Humanity, so using the word Omnimanity

to address all three of the races that live on the Earth in both Undertale and Deltarune, just seems more correct. 

 and well most Humans might have a mix heritage too,

but still not sure about that whole rumor about RH Negative Blood type being like a Holy Grail Bloodline though...

before I’m trying to do a double check about my blood type again,

I will need to make sure to eat something first, as well as drink something too.

and I know my Mom told me I should have some warm water run on my hands.

there are lines that should not be crossed, such as what happen between the FNAF Community and Twitter Community.

and I know that some of the FNAF Fans know that even if Scott made some mistakes, by trusting those with some donations he made to them, only to find out well....one or more of them were two-faced lying people...

he had to retire early to keep both himself and family safe....

I don’t think the whole Powerpuff Girls Vs Powerpuff Girls 2016 series

goes that bad, at least I don’t think so....

but still the original PPG are the ones that came before that “Classic versions”

and PPG 2016 wasn’t the only series to have some stuff in it that was seen as inappropriate....it’s just that in the classic versions (or at least one of them.)

some stuff that went on in it went over the heads...

I still like the Powerpuff Girls, all the different series of it.

but Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi is still gonna be my number one favorite.

PPGD was out way before PPGZ and it has been the longest running series made by Fans for Fans.

it has Crossover and even if not everyone has to like it, I and others do love it.

I even love the Grim Tales From Down Below Series.

after seeing the latest updates to that comic,

I can’t help but see there is more to Minimandy aka “Minnie”

and she might of went through more than a few types of abuses.

it is possible she might have some form of Trauma, which was caused by her own Mother, Mandy....(who is the Future Adult self of Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy)

we know that most characters either it be in Live action, Cartoon or Comic series or even a Video Game series....

will end up having a really sad backstory that ends up with them having trauma.

we know that a lot of fans didn’t like how Steven became in Steven Universe Future, but we have to remember his traumas first started in the original series.

and at some point he was gonna go through a breaking point where all that trauma will end up becoming too much for him.

I still have some episodes and seasons to go, to re-watch that series

and finding the traumas that will end up leading to the present/Steven Universe Future.

there was flashbacks in one episode that had Steven go to the Hospital,

that shows that all the clips from the first series that caused Steven some traumas and he has been dealing with some harmful stress too much,

and hasn’t had the healthy kind.  

also even if I did forget about the whole alarm thing that went off on Connie’s phone, and I did thought it was her Mom, but thanks to watching a clip, I know it is like misremembering.

that can happen at times, well not everything can be a misremembering.

you can end up remembering something that did happen,

but time travelers could end up messing with the timeline...

like if you remember seeing something about a really old cartoon

Shamrock Freddy

Like Frostbear and Firework Freddy,he’s a Freddy made specifically for the holidays. St. Patrick day to be exact

Has a Irish ascent to go with his holiday theme

Similar to Rockstar Freddy, he desires Faz-coin to a unhealthy degree

Enjoys talking about St. Patrick day traditions and folklore.

Is pretty self-centered

Usually picks on Frostbear for no good reason

All the other animatronics who take part in the Fazbear Funtime Service either are indifferent to him like Chica or 8 Bit Baby. While others like regular Freddy and Bonnie hate him for just being a overall jerk

In some instances when the animatronics are being shipped together in trucks for customers, a Shamrock Freddy always seems to cause some sort of commotion that usually leaves everyone in mangled animatronic parts by the end

The company was actually considering removing him off from the service completely given all the problem he caused

But considering that he makes for great revenue during the St. Patrick day season, they just left him alone for the other animatronics to deal with.

Firework Freddy

Aside from Chica with her cupcake, he’s the only one who comes with a accessory.

Has lots of nicknames, but the most common ones are Firework and just Summer Freddy

All the other animatronics find his firework very cool

Springtrap however does not becuase anything that goes boom gives him flashbacks to when the springlocks snappped back in the saferoom all those years ago...

Is a expert on cooking with a barbecue

Has a lot of knowledge on sport related stuff from all over the world

Hates the cold

However he doesn’t hate Frostbear and feels bad for him becuase of Shamrock Freddy’s constant bullying

Has a lot of extras clothes and extra accessories that correspond with the traditions of the customer(s) that ordered a vist from him

For instance, he may be all decked out for 4th of July one year, and the next you’ll see a bear ready for the beach and so fourth.

Constantly switching his attire for each visit does get a little annoying, but for him, making people happy in the end makes it worth all the hassle.

VR Toy Freddy

Is a completely different entity than regular Toy Freddy

Is the textbook definition of absolute gamer chad

Playing video games takes first priority for him

Recently he’s been playing the newest instalment in the fnamh’s (Five Nights At Mr Hug’s) series

He’s quite clumsy and bumps into other animatronics or common house things likes selves on a daily basis

But on the rare chance he’s not using his headset he’s usually making absurd theorys on what’s going on with the lore in the new Vr game

His main theory is that that this new strange crate looking character escaped from dumper purgatory from the previous game in the series and placed themselves into the in universe VR game.

Shamrock Freddy question why he’s still invested in that series though. As he states, the original trilogy is the best and that it all went downhill once that weird gumball machine used paper plates as a skin suit.

Whenever He or anyone else for that matter says something along the lines of that, VR Toy Freddy always goes into essay long arguments for why he’s wrong. He’s very quick to defend his favourite franchise

Jokes that he’s The Man Behind The Slaugher unironically even when the meme has died ( *In this universe the man behind the slaughter meme exists because of the Fnaf 1 news paper clippings, along with the fact that Springtrap is a well known entity thanks to HW, and the Fazbear Funtime service.*

Chocolate Bonnie

Nicknames are Choco Bonnie, and unfortunately as immature as it, Poop Bonnie

He’s made of real actual chocolate

Once somebody’s dog took a big bite out of his bottom right stomach area that simply couldn’t be repaired. The dog took 87 bites out of him btw

That’s why every single copy of the Chocolate Bonnie model scanned in after that day has that big and distracting hole

His three button and botie are mint candy flavoured

Real Easter eggs are hidden inside his stomach cavity and are placed near his endo parts

Though he’s more appropriate for Easter time, sometime he’s advertised for the Halloween season for that trick or treat goodness

Similar to Bon-Bon and Funtime Freddy , Easter and Chocolate Bonnie are a two in one package.

Given the surprising popularity of the Funtime Service, (*in universe*) a merch store has being set up to only spread word of their brand but to bring these beloved characters in the pop culture consensus again, and Chocolate Bonnie gets a bunch of merch

Whether it be a coffee mug,a shirt, or the type of chocolate bunny you’ll see in those craft stores, Cholocate Bonnie has it all.

Easter Bonnie

Is very dramatic and has a showman like personality. (Similar to Funtime Foxy in UCN)

His Easter egg pattern on his stomach area is actually drawn with crayons and the circles are get plain circle shaped stickers you would find at the your local dollar store. Goes to show that the Fazbear Funtime Service sticks to the roots of Fazbear Entertainment, being really cheep

How Easter and Chocolate Bonnie entertain customers is that Easter Bonnie usually has a “dramatic” retelling of the Easter bunny fairytale while Chocolate Bonnie���s the food, customers can eat while enjoying the play

He’s quite athletic

The ��Happy Easter” tag on the top of his ear isn’t actually a intentional design choice

Easter Bonnie just stole it from a random candy store nearby

Some confuse him as a winter themed Bonnie covered in snow due to his mainly white colour palette. Considering that Freddy Frostbear’s a thing that isn’t that much of a stretch

Can perfectly imitate any of the other animatronic’s voices. It honestly shocks animatronics like Springtrap or Foxy with how well Easter Bonnie can capture this respective accents to a tee

He prefers to hop like a actual bunny than walking normally

Loves decorating Easter eggs.

Toxic Springtrap

All that purple goo is actually just fungi infected with some of that classic remnant

Due to his frightening nature he’s only available during Halloween time

However despite his looks he’s actually quite kind at heart. Much more than regular Springtrap that’s for sure

Is actually scared of the dark

He likes playing chess

Doesn’t like the fact that he’s advertised as something to be feared

Usually hangs around with 8-Bit Baby the most and the two usually play board games all day

Although like everyone else he feels some sort of discomfort whenever he’s shocked, the pain is really minor for him compared to other animatronics

Given that he’s only desired during the month of spooks, for the rest of the year, he’s left alone at the factory where all the animatronics are constructed and duplicated in the first place

Due to this he’s got a pleta of abandonment isssues

System Error Toy Bonnie

His head, body and limbs can be detached and put back together very easily

That’s how he entertains customers in fact. He’s basically a animatronic sized construction set, similar to Mangle

Their eyes glow bright orange in darkness

Is able to phaze through physical objects

Due to some people complaining about regular Toy Bonnie’s voicebox, the team chose to implant stock computer sound effects into System Error Toy Bonnie’s voicebox rather than actual dialogue.

Knows your WiFi password

Is taller than regular Toy Bonnie

The system error phrase near his stomach area gets brighter amd brighter whenever his costume shell is damaged

Static electricity flows through him from time to time. So it recommend that whenever a customer should wear gloves and other appropriate safety equipment when interacting with the animatronic

Balloon Boy always tries to get the static electricity balloon trick to work, but it never seems to work. System Error Toy Bonnie could really care less about this ordeal though

Highscore Toy Chica

Loves playing video games

But unlike Vr Toy Freddy, Her life doesn’t focus on it 24/7

She likes playing a variety of games too. virtual games, handheld games, games on consoles, board games, etc

Is very supportive

Knows what emojis are

Considering that she’s meant to be hip with the kids, she knows a lot about current gaming and fandom culture in general

Is a pretty good speed runner when it comes to video games

Although it doesn’t happen often she can get quite serious when it comes to gaming. You can tell when she’s just playing for fun or not if her endoskeleton eyes and grey are exposed

is indifferent to the term “Gamer Girl”

Hates games where you can’t skip the cutscenes

Radioactive Foxy

A random model of Foxy accidentally found his way into a power plant and eventually got covered in radioactive goo

The higher ups working for the Fazbear Funtime service thought that it would be a shame to throw out a perfectly good plush suit and endo. So after some strange testing involving remnant they just rebranded this as a completely new skin.

Green radioactive material drips over his body all all times

His hook is twice as big as regular Foxy’s. Probably due to the combination of experimenting with both remnant and toxic radioactive goo

Has no eyebrows due to the constant radioactive energy

Thanks to Radioactive Foxy’s transparent look, this was the first time any of the customers got a real good look on the inerworkings on how a endo properly fits into a plush suit.

Is on the hunt for and wants to consume more radioactive energy

Can transform into a more liquid based form

He’s slower than regular foxy but sill runs at a moderately fast pace

One of the more aggressive animatronics in the service alongside the likes of regular Springtrap and Frostbear

8-Bit Baby

Similar to Highscore Toy Chica, she’s meant to be marketed to the gaming crowd.

Specifically those who enjoy old school videogames

Can despense real cupcakes for eating pleasure

Has a extra sprinkler perfect for ice cream decorating

Her fan operates correctly and henceforth can be used for cooling or drying needs

Her microphone is preprogrammed with chiptune styled music

Has become many people’s favourite animatronic and has been in high demand ever since they were first brought to the service due to their uniqueness

Moves at a snail’s pace

Loves playing board games with Toxic Springtrap.

Okay, so, like, we know Mike Schmidt, would at least be late twenties. Then there’s Michael Afton, who I believe, to be Mike Schmidt.

And he goes to SL, gets scooped, and basically Ennard’s just, stuck inside of his body.

Now, mind you, I’m officially jumping onto EthGoesBoom’s theory, that from the FNAF fan series, FNAC/Five Nights at Candy’s, Marylin Schmidt, is Mike’s wife.

I’ve seen most people, just assume Ennard’s just chillin’ there. And I agree with it, so, imagine the chaos in the Schmidt household.

William Afton- The guy is intimidating at first glance but hes generally a nice guy, just has a resting bitch face. After going through what his father had done to him and later on what his ex-wife had done to him, Mike, and Liz, he became extremely protective of his family. Will is a pretty extroverted guy, he could strike up a conversation with a raccoon in the trash can for crying out loud but he's also very dramatic and pushy. Hes grown thick skin over the years and learned to deal with his temper. Hes not the greatest dad but he tried his best to keep his keep his kids happy. He treats everyone at Freddy's like a family and cares a lot about them Including the animatronics. Oh he's also engaged to scott, who is my phone guy- and Henry and Will's cat Clyde are their third and forth wheels. They be vibin tho

Michael Afton- Unlike his father, hes a nice guy 24/7 hes the type of guy you can go up to and ask for directions without feeling uneasy. He's very loud and weird, in a good way. He loves to bother tf out of Will and make jokes that make Will sigh in disappointment or even taking his trumpet and playing it to scare his father. Charlie is his best friend, they've been friends since childhood since their dads are also best friends. Charlie and Mike are total dumbasses together but they're inseparable. Mike is in a relationship with Jeremy but they dont act like it in front of others, they'll make fun a gay people despite both of them liking men. As for things with Ennard, that's his main man. Ennard isnt the smartest as time goes on so a lot of people at freddy's gets frustrated with him but Mike treats Ennard like family even if hes a bunch of wires and mental scraps. Mike also has a dumb cat named Inky. Him and Ennard both enjoy eating rats.

Elizabeth Afton- Lizzy is actually bby. She's is a big sweetheart but also a tough girl. Mike would always rough Lizzy up to the point where he would let her beat tf out of him but it was all to teach her how to defend herself. She's a big theater kid just like her father was in high school and a big dramatic. She doesnt really fuck with the kids at her school because she just doesnt get along with people her age, she'd much rather be around people much other than her. She's also a rambler like her father and will talk to strangers about the most random of things and before they could reply she'd be off doing something else. Yes she's extroverted but if they aren't family or treated like family she wants nothing to do with them. She also doesnt work very well with others, it's her way or the highway. You'll most likely walk in on her talking to her phat chunk of a cat named Blinky tho.

Andrew Afton- Andy is the youngest of the Aftons and the quietest. While the other Aftons are very extroverted, hes very to himself and isnt a fan of people, but he does have a best friend named Brandon, Who's dad also works at Freddy's. Instead of his head being bit it was actually his right arm that was so badly bitten, it had to get it amputated. Will does make prosthetics for him though and you'll rarely see him without it. Andy blames himself a lot of things that arent his fault, like his mother's death. She died from complications during child birth with Andy. Andy is actually half siblings to Mike and Liz but they all treat each other like full siblings. He's very emotional and finds comfort in his interests which are, collecting toys and plushies from freddy's, Carebears, Hello Kitty, and many more. And yes his cat is Pinky and shes an old bitch and only likes Will and Andy but no one knows why? She used to sleep in Andy's crib with him when he was a baby and he stole Will's cat from only 1 month old.

So okay to any of my followers who like me or follow me for Alien and Predator stuff. Or if your reading these in some tags. I thought of this idea this morning. It might sound like a very stupid comparison. But considering the Alien and Predator fandoms I feel I should say this and mention why the hell can't just Fox confirm the multiverse idea and different timelines. So people wouldn't get so fucking confused and people who liked certain movies or other stuff can like the fact something they like exists but it's in a different timeline in this multiverse.

As of now I don't blame Fox for trying not to or I mean The Predator 2018 is gonna be released next month. Basically I haven't been giving a (edit put not to and a instead of of s before damn) damn about some trailers especially this ultimate Predator. Because merging with Disney is probably quite a task they may not want to focus on some properties but that sounds stupid as hell.

Back to the topic let me mention some stuff.

Warner Bros is gonna try this idea where they have the DCEU but next to it are some I guess smaller and Elseworld stories. Starting with the Joker movie they are making. While I'm not the biggest fan on the idea of the movie. It's a interesting concept to make Elseworld stories beside the DCEU and I don't mind. As long as they are enjoyable and good. Especially if they make money I'll check them out.

Then we have a pretty famous one. Or something like that it's the FNAF franchise. While some people were pissed at the idea of what Scott did. Had to answer a friend Fatpinkraccoon keeps sending a reply as a joke saw him smiled it's a joke. He said valid to eat fingers.

Okay back to the topic okay the messaging stopped. But Scott Cawthon decided for his franchise the novels we're basically a reimagining of the series. They take place in a different universe when the main games are still their own thing.

Whatever other details for that. Now he's sending messages saying consume fingers.

But basically if Warner Bros can do that along with Scott Cawthon on FNAF then how easy is it for Fox to just do the same with Alien and Predator.

Also I'm gonna sound stupid or whatever. People might get pissed me saying this. Basically while people take these two franchises very seriously and I might sound like a hypocrite because I've been serious about stuff I like.

Yet seriously a multiverse idea sounds maybe easy and better then what we have.

Are Let’s Players Really That Bad?

Ever since it’s debut in 2006, Youtube has become a well known hub for an entirely new wave of entertainment that is so popular it’s been said to be on the verge of replacing television. With a platform built in such a way that anybody with any amount of entertainer experience can create and widespread their content to be accessed by millions of people, the platform has thus seen the rise of many different types of creators including sketch artists, animators, game and film reviewers, beauty vloggers, daily life vloggers, and of course the exponentially popular Let’s Player. Some of the top entertainers on the site are people who record gameplay footage and commentate over it, and capture their reactions and outbursts of laughter on camera synced with whatever it is they are playing (most likely FNAF and they’re shitting themselves). Such creators include the exceptionally popular Markiplier, Jackscepticeye, and of course the unrivaled king of Youtube Felix Kjellberg, more commonly known as Pewdiepie, who’s subscriber count is higher then the population of Canada. 

As popular as they are it’s no secret that they have faced a lot of flack in their careers and continue to find it to this day. It’s rather old news, but Jimmy Kimmel once took a particularly nasty jab at the whole craze and went out of his way to mock the fans of these creators.

*I’m sorry not all of us have interns who write our best jokes and have celebrity guest stars who are entertaining so we don’t have to be, Mr. Kimmel.* 

Dat dislike bar though. However, Jimmy’s shots are not uncommon against anti-let’s players (for lack of a better label). The common argument is that Let’s Playing is an overly easy job because anyone can sit down and scream at a videogame. Furthermore, why wouldn’t you just play the videogame for yourself instead of watch somebody else do it? I have a subset of reasons why Let’s Players are actually more beneficial to the community and nobody ever gives them credit for this fact, so to get to that faster I’ll just abbreviate my counter argument here:

1. You could argue Let’s Players are really just improv comedians. The only difference is most of the time it’s not a live audience and they’re bouncing ideas off of a game being displayed in front of them and will frequently riff on the game. Comedians have been known to do the same thing for movies, such as Rifftrax and MST3K

Now I’m fully aware not everybody expresses the same extent of improv talent, in fact some let’s players really are just yelling at the screen the whole time and aren’t providing any particularly clever commentary, but truthfully that just makes it like any other medium. Some people are good at doing it, other people really aren’t. Plus there are factors like having to be consistently entertaining and talkative for a minimum time of ten minutes every episode of a playthrough. Point is, it’s not as easy as it looks, and if you truly think anyone can do it, I dare you to try it for yourself and see how many people flock to you.

2. Viewers trust Let’s Players opinions more then game journalists. 

Game Journalist sites like IGN and GT have either become notorious for being untrustworthy with inconsistent rating systems and bizarre logic behind opinion pieces or they’ve just become obsolete and forgotten.  They’ve more often then not come across as out of touch. With Let’s players people have more of a natural inclination to trust their opinions on games and the quality of said games, because of a very important factor: we see them as fellow consumers.We’re not lead to believe they’re being paid to read off of a teleprompter or are given money on the sidelines to promote a game by some sponsoring company, we really trust them to not only express their honest opinions about certain games but also give insightful and provoking commentary on just why a game works or doesn’t work so well. It gets to a point where they can even share UNPOPULAR opinions about games and the audience will eat it right up.

3 (and most importantly). Let’s Players promote art and public services with their popularity.

Somewhere down the line, Youtube’s algorithm changed. The way you would monetize your videos used to be a click based model, meaning the amount of money you got was based on how many people clicked your video, therefore the more views your video has the more you got paid. Seems reasonable enough, right? . . . That is until people started abusing the system. “Reply Girls” became a phenomenon on youtube where well endowed women would tag their videos alongside already popular entities and expose their voluptuous curves to get clicks, only for the video to be nothing but them talking to the camera about essentially nothing. You can click the dislike button, but it didn’t matter; once they had your click they got their money. There are many similar tactics applied to suckering people into clicking your link like putting boobs in the image thumbnail, making your video title in all caps and exaggerating the events of your video to be way more extreme then they actually are. This is where the phrase “clickbait” comes from.

So naturally to combat the abusers of the old system, Youtube needed to change. So in 2012 they switched over to a “minutes watched” model. Now instead of your pay being dependent on how many clicks your videos get, what matters more is how much of a viewers time is spent on youtube watching your content. That includes how many minutes worth of content they absorb from you on a regular basis. As a result, the most promoted channels on the site were channels that could keep up with the constant demands of consumers: a half hours worth of content or more every. single. day. What genre more suited to meet such demands then the Let’s Play genre? And that’s why it took off as much as it did (just to clarify, it’s not them abusing the system like the reply girls situation. Let’s Playing has been around way before this change happened). 

Now, this new system unfortunately also had HUGE consequences for some of the most talented creators on the site; namely, animators. See, independent animators simply can’t meet the demands of 10 minutes or more worth of content every day. Animation is a grueling time consuming process where it can take MONTHS of work just to get out a minute long cartoon. Therefore, independent animators simply can’t support themselves on the platform.

But don’t feel TOO bad for animators. They’ve actually developed a very beneficial relationship with Let’s Players as a result of this change. While they can’t support themselves by creating their own content, they CAN take their favorite bits from Let’s Players videos and make little animated segments based around those segregated audio clips. Now Let’s Players frequently employ animators to make animations out of select little bits of their videos which become IMMENSELY popular, and this trend really does showcase some spectacular talent from indie animators on the site.

In fact, the best example I can think of for this situation is the popular youtuber Jaiden Animations, whose career skyrocketed after frequent collabs with Let’s Player Ihascupquake. She know has over 1.5 million subs!

But it’s not just Animators that Let’s Players benefit either. The best kind also bring attention to indie game developers and play HUGE roles in the completion of crowdfunded games like promoting the campaigns on their channels and donating huge sums of money to the cause.

These two things are the reason why I LOVE the Super Best Friends in particular. They’ve become NOTORIOUS for their huge contributions to indie games and their aid to the success of these developers. There’s a reason why you can find cameos and references to them in Shovel Knight, Divekick and Skullgirls. 

Other indie games that found huge success due to influence from let’s players include Super Meat Boy, Five Night’s at Freddy’s, Undertale, Starwhal, T.E.C 3001, Yooka Laylee and so much more.

But it’s not just artists that Let’s Players help out. They’ve also been known to raise huge sums of money for charity. Like the time Jontron did a livestream of playing Banjo Kazooie to raise over 25,000 dollars for Teach for America, and as a treat to his fans to celebrate he released a cover of Katy Perry’s Firework accompanied by an animation collab from some of the finest Indie Animators around.

Look, think what you will about the medium. You’re entitled to your opinion; if Let’s Players just aren’t your thing, they aren’t your thing. I just think it’s unfair that they get as much flack as they get. Yes, some of them resort to predictable tactics and yes, some of them aren’t as talented as their popularity lets on . . . but truthfully, that’s no different from any other genre. The good still far outweighs the bad. They give animators work (which I myself greatly appreciate), they get indie games off the ground, they raise money for charity and guess what; being entertaining for 10 straight minutes or longer is harder then it looks. So I hope you’ll have a greater appreciation for these content creators and have taken what I’ve said to heart.

k so i know that fnaf is considered as "cringey" but honestly? i love it.

like yeah, scott has made like 7 games, 3 or 4 books. and the game type is a cheap shot at horror with the jumpscares.

but the lore hoo mama i'll eat good lore up for months. i'll (sometimes its okay, sometimes its really not) hyperfixate on the plot lines, plot holes, theories, and it fills me with such joy.

i've talked my mom's ear off about fnaf and other games/stories that i love.

its so much fun. and i love cracking into the past and theories, and i love interacting with other fans and discussing and swapping theories and fanarts and ocs and headcanons.

long story short, and i know this has been done before, but fuck cringe culture. as long as you arent like....pedophilic or oppressive to other fans, go ahead and like fnaf, undertale, mlp, su, svfoe, care bears, atla.
