About the toothpaste thing have you tried kids toothpastes? My sister has a similar issue but I think it's more about the mint flavour and she finds kids toothpastes to be much more bearable. Also sounds like it sucks and Im not suprised it follows the classic of "mostly occurs in women so we know nothing about it". I hope you find a solution that works for you :)

OP my dad was a dentist and I worked in his office so I've picked up a bunch of advice. Hopefully some of this will be useful in speed running teeth brushing.

Without attention your gums can become inflamed from existing debris even if they don't look it. Your gums will get with the picture. (I have this problem because I am bad at flossing. I just take a tylenol if it's really a bother)
