there's a horribly amazing miniseries from nz that has been put onto Netflix called after the party. It revolves around a sexual assault allegation, in case you're sensitive to that, but it's about the social fallout of accusing someone of it and the way society treats the accused (like nothing happened) because they don't want their lives inconvenienced.

It has rave reviews, and the main character is a very normal looking middle aged woman. It's just 6 episodes.

the substance is fascinating and makes a lot of good points, but i don't get the horror at the 'hag' elizabeth, the one before monstro that causes her to try to terminate sue. she largely just looks like a sickly very old lady with severe scoliosis. of course, the horror is in losing decades of your life and your mobility, and then the monstro section is insanity, but i don't get the wrinkling as horror.

israel allegedly promising a lebanon ceasefire as a 'gift' to trump shows that they could have stopped the entire time.

what they are doing is volunteering up the smaller fish to bolster trump and make him look more successful, so that the us will continue to not only provide weapons to israel to crush palestine, but in the hopes of maintaining a us republican government for years to come, that will allow them to annex and cleanse palestine and defend their 'right' to do so.

this is so interesting. every single public bathroom i have ever been to either has exclusively female cleaners, only cleans after hours, OR if they have day hours male cleaners, they put floor signs at the door saying something like 'male cleaner on duty/in progress'.

i suspect it's near the same for the vast majority of voters, where they've never actually come across a male cleaner while in there, so it's just some vague hypothetical to them.
