Sunflowers

Last week, my girlfriend said she had a surprise date planned for us on Saturday. I was so excited! She knows how much I love surprises. The only information she gave me was to dress pretty, because we were going to be taking lots of pictures!

Since she was surprising me, I wanted to get her a little surprise too. I went to the store with my mom, and I picked out some flowers for her. I got two little bundles, one with pastel pink flowers, and one with light green flowers. I picked those two specifically because pink is her favorite color, and green is mine, so together it made the both of us! When we got home, my mom helped me cut them, and I arranged them in a small vase for her.

When my girlfriend came to pick me up, I gave her the flowers and she loved them!! Which I knew she would because she loves flowers, and it's been a while since I've been able to get some for her.

Then for her surprise to me, she took me to a sunflower field!! She knows they're my favorite, and knew that she wanted to take me there. I adored every second of it, we wore pretty dresses, got lots of pictures, and we even got to each cut our own sunflower! I got a teeny one, while she got one bigger than her face.

It was so peaceful. Walking through the tall flowers, hand in hand, made it seem like we were the only two people left on earth. Like those sunflowers were all that was left. It felt so lovely to be there with her.
