What if kits are just drawn to Floodleopard. Like she shows up in the Dark Forest, expecting of course to walk alone for eternity but instead she ends up with like 100 kids because the babies just...go to her. And you think she's gonna tell them no? Of course not. Those are HER babies now.

the beginning of the night
762 words
Floodpaw sprints through the undergrowth, calling out a name. She doesn’t know whose name she’s calling, she doesn’t know for how long she’s been screaming. But she keeps on running, because she knows that something horrible will happen to her if she’s quiet for only a moment.
Just one more time.
Call out her name one more time.
They’ll respond this time.
“[]! []! []!” With every word comes a spurt of blood, ripped from the lining of her throat. She still screams. The pain is secondary to her fear which is secondary to her sense that something has gone horribly horribly wrong.
Who is she calling for?
She stumbles for a moment, not realizing that she was running into a small pool of water until her paws were cold and wet. She looks down, sees the shattered moon around her feet. Sees the stars that surround it, torn to pieces.
“BRIGHT—BRIGHTSTAR!”
“BRIGHTSTAR?”
“BRIGHTSTAR?!”
Floodburn turns around and around, this isn’t home, home doesn’t have so many trees that leer down at her, obscuring the sky. The trees don’t grow in front of her eyes, covering up the night sky.
Trees don’t pluck stars out of the sky, one by one.
“BRIGHTSTAR!” Floodburn picks a direction and starts running.
Everything hurts—her pads hurt, torn up by stones underfoot, her eyes hurt because they’re burning with tears, her pelt hurts because she keeps on tearing it on thorns that spring out and try to grab her. Her nose hurt because every inhale feels like she’s drowning, her throat aches with the sensation of constantly swallowing blood.
She has to find her. She has to find Brightstar now before the trees pluck all the stars out of the sky.
Floodburn pushes herself harder, even as the forest grows thicker, grows darker, grows so dark that she cannot see her own paws, cannot know that the ground was falling beneath her until she was suddenly plunged into a raging river.
She flails for a moment, her desperate call is replaced with inky water. She pushes herself forward, pulls herself forward. She reaches out for the shards of stars that reflect, refract, swallowed up by the black water.
Floodburn’s head breaks water and she calls out for her love before she takes a breath.
The trees have taken more of the stars, what was now endless is now barely a dozen.
She searches for a bank, for freedom from the endless deluge of water but she finds nothing. She’s alone, stranded, doomed to drown—no. She’s not any of those things. Not as long as Brightstar is around, not as long as her love is here on this earth with her.
Only in life, because Brightstar is not safe among them. The stars don’t welcome them, but Floodburn does! She’ll make up for all the hatred her wife has to bare, she’ll tear apart anyone that dares to glower at them. She’ll kill anyone that thinks of Brightstar as lesser, she’d do it if Brightstar weren’t so determined to believe that cats could be changed.
If only Brightstar didn’t believe that you could change cats.
If only Brightstar saw what Floodburn saw, if only Brightstar could see that you could not change those who only saw you as useful. That to be seen as worthy you did not need to be useful!
She wishes that Brightstar saw that Floodburn loved them because she was smart and had an even temper and always sought to be the better cat. Because they was the most beautiful cat Floodburn had ever laid their eyes on.
She wishes that Brightstar saw that every single cat in the entire damned Clan should be willing to jump into a raging river for them, not just the one who called Brightstar her wife.
The trees throw the last stars into the river.
Two land on her, the first one slams against her skull. It sears her entire body with pain, sendings her entire body aflame. She gasps for air, and only gulps down night water, shards of stars pouring down her throat and stabbing her.
The second one star, a bright, beautiful red, goes straight through her heart.
Blood blooms from her chest, flows out into the water. It flows upwards to the moon, just as the branches of the tree swallow up the last silver pieces—
-
Floodstar wakes up in their—her den. She sneers at nothing, shakes the nightmare off her fur, and lets the anger that had been building in her chest linger on the tip of her tongue.
She’s got a Clan to run.

So somehow I managed to have my entire clan die out in ClanGen
on easy mode
most of the events happened at random in the New Events tab since i got quickly bored with the game on easy mode and just kept clicking the skip one month button
and honestly, now I really want to make it into a story, because holy fuck
so my clan was FrostClan, a clan founded by Spottedstar and a handful of other cats. one of them was Floodpaw, Spottedstar's own apprentice. Spottedstar was a responsible cat and a great teacher, but was not popular among clanmates, and as her previous deputies retired, Floodpaw, now Floodwater, remained the only cat Spottedstar trusted and respected enough to appoint her as the new deputy. Floodwater used to be a somewhat unpleasant apprentice, her shameless behavior making some clanmates uncomfortable, but as she matured, she became a honored, smart and responsible warrior who strictly sticks to the warrior code. however, after Spottedstar's passing due to failing to interpret a warning from StarClan, Floodstar soon turned into a tyrant. her ambition clouded her mind, she began to twist the code to justify trespassing and attacking other clans' warriors. anyone who disobeyed would get brutally punished.
eventually, Floodstar was the only one who remained. and for many months, she lived alone, accompanied only by the knowledge of what she has done. until a kittypet, Jaxxon, came along, and after hearing Floodstar's stories of clan life and the code, he wished to learn the clan ways and become the old leader's last apprentice. after Floodstar's death, he kept in mind what she told him about the clan's leader ceremonies, and for the first time ever he met StarClan. after emerging as Jaxxonstar, he decided to keep the clan's memory alive still, so that none of the starry warriors could fade. and when a young loner appeared and expressed interest in his stories, he decided to teach her the same way Floodstar taught him.
what followed was a long line of lone leaders and their apprentices, occasionally joined by a few more cats, but never enough to rebuild a clan. the nine lives ceased to be a means to allow the leader to serve their clan longer and to prevent assassinations, but as a means to ensure that the leader is kept alive long enough for a successor to appear, even years beyond a cat's natural lifespan. Jaxxonstar, Cheetahstar, Floodstar the Second, Calliestar, Sagestar, Longstar, Pansystar all lived to an ancient age in complete solitude, their only contact with others being their mentor, the StarClan cats at their leadership ceremony, and then eventually their apprentice, which was when they would lose their lives in rapid succession over the course of nine months. Bonestar was cursed to live for 44 years before finding abandoned twin kittens, one of which would succeed him as Henstar in adulthood, and their sister Elmheart would become the first medicine cat in decades, reviving the long lost art of healing. however, eventually old age would claim her too. Henstar appointed their apprentice Piperfur as heir, but on her way to claim her nine lives she died under mysterious circumstances, leaving her own apprentice Wildblink, who has just received her warrior name at Henstar's last ceremony, to claim the nine lives in her stead. Wildstar now guards the empty camp alone, waiting for a cat to take her own place
#it's basically skyclan on steroids#thinking that floodstar the first could've been in a prophecy or something#when frost ends a flood comes#warrior cats#clangen

listen. i’m not saying that i think russetfrond should die or retire because he is like. 30. but i am saying that i’m holding out for floodstar because the leadership ceremony and lakepaw reunion would be so good!! also i think he’d be a good leader! i think floodstrike has great leadership potential after he grows up and evens out a little. lakepaw i will miss you always but i don’t think her story is over!! i think she’s going to play a big role on the starclan side of things 🤞
Awww that is a cute idea, Lakepaw giving Floodstrike a life! We'll just have to wait and see how things go the heh. You're not far off the mark with some of these ideas :3c

Violetkit would always remember the faraway, almost whimisical manner in which Lavendertail used to describe willow trees. Her especial favorite was the Howling Willow, the largest and most ancient willow in ShallowClan's territory. Even as Lavendertail grew scrawny and sick with hunger, she would whisper, "If you sit up high in the Howling Willow's branches, you can hear the voices of StarClan cats."
Now Violetkit sat patiently, tiny claws curled into the ancient tree's bark as she waited upon one its highest branches. Waited, patiently, to hear Lavendertail's voice. I'm here, mother. Where are you?
"Violetkit? Violetkit, where are you?" A shrill, panicked voice brought Violetkit lurching back to reality. Nighthawk. The shadowy warrior was supposed to be watching Mothkit and Violetkit, but Mothkit had created a distraction which had allowed Violetkit to slip away undetected.
Violetkit sighed, irritated. I'm not going back to camp until my mother speaks to me.
"I found her!" Yarrowstem's voice sliced through the air like a hawk's talons. Violetkit bristled, dread worming its way into her belly. Inching along her branch, Violetkit forced her head between the willow's wispy tendrils, peering down below. She was met with the furious glares of Nighthawk and Yarrowstem. There was a third set of eyes, too: Floodstar.
Floodstar's gaze held no anger, however. His demeanor was surprisingly calm, a tranquil pond compared to the blazing fury of the warriors standing beside him. "Come down, Violetkit."
"No!" Violetkit retorted, causing Nighthawk and Yarrowstem to swap horrified glances.
"She's just a stupid kit-" Yarrowstem began hurriedly, but Floodstar lifted his tail, silencing her. With a shocking amount of strength, ShallowClan's leader launched himself up the willow tree, springing from branch to branch with the ease of a veteran squirrel.
When the tom finally landed beside Violetkit's perch, the she-kit took a few hesitant steps backward. Floodstar's peculiar, ice-blue eyes were locked on her. "It is impressive that you managed to trek so far, and then climb this great tree, while only being a little thing yourself."
"I'm not little. I'm three moons old." Violetkit lifted her chin, heart beating frantically like a caged bird.
"That you are."
"Are you mad at me?"
"Nighthawk is the cat I'm angry with. She had one job, and she failed spectacularly. You, on the other paw. . . no." Floodstar was watching Violetkit with careful consideration, as if turning around some equation in his head. "You will still need to be punished, of course. However, you have proven yourself to be a rather versatile young cat."
"Thanks." Violetkit was pretty sure 'versatile' was a compliment. At this rate, it was fairly evident that Lavendertail had nothing to say to Violetkit. Maybe she doesn't love me anymore. "I'm ready to come down now."
"Very well."
...
Violetpaw's claws sang through the air, slicing across Rabbitface's muzzle so fast the tom barely had time to react. The warrior made a clumsy attempt to swipe at Violetpaw, but the apprentice rolled out of the way, springing to her paws and ducking around Rabbitface's side. Rabbitface whirled to face her, but she was ready, moving with him and snapping her jaws shut on his spine, back paws kicking Rabbitface's legs out beneath him.
"That's enough." At the sound of Floodstar's voice, Violetpaw immediately released her grip on Rabbitface, stepping off of the tom. Shakily, the tom stood, running a paw over his bleeding muzzle. The fur along his back was also torn, the spot where Violetpaw had bit him now bleeding profusely.
"Are you okay?" Mothpaw trotted forward, craning their neck to inspect their mentor's wounds.
"I'm sorry, Rabbitface. I didn't mean-" Violetpaw had barely spoken when Floodstar interrupted her in a harsh snarl.
"Don't apologize. Rabbitface is a grown warrior; he should have easily been able to counter those attacks." Floodstar scoffed, eyeing his son coldly. "Regardless, you performed excellently." Violetpaw felt her heart swell with pride at Floodstar's praise.
Mothpaw's approval was softer, their gaze gleaming with admiration. "I would like to train with Violetpaw next, if that's okay."
"No," Floodstar rumbled. "We're done battle training for the day. Rabbitface needs to go see Lakelily." Secretly, Violetpaw was relieved at Floodstar's decision. She wasn't sure if she would ever be able to injure Mothpaw in a fight.
It was different with Rabbitface. He was just a clanmate, not a friend. Floodstar's words rang clear in her head: Sometimes, you must face clanmates with claws.
...
"How dare you." Floodstar's furious hiss rang across the clearing. Rabbitface stood, ears pinned in defiance, while Floodstar continued. "Rogues, loners, kittypets. . . they are less than us. They are vermin that taint any clan they manage to worm their way into. And yet you would share prey with a loner, knowing that there isn't enough prey to go around, knowing that ShallowClan needs it more--"
"She was starving!" Rabbitface yowled. "It can come from my share."
"Oh, it certainly will," Floodstar sneered. "You won't be eating anything off the freshkill pile for three days." Rabbitface looked about to protest, but Floodstar continued mercilessly, "And you will need a punishment." The tom's gaze swept the clan, eventually coming to rest upon a certain brown tabby. "Violetfang, what is the proper punishment for a code-breaker?"
Violetfang felt her spine go rigid. Every pair of eyes seemed to land upon her. "Exile, but as this is Rabbitface's first offense. . . he should receive a punishment befitting of the crime." Violetfang paused. "He should have to hunt down the rogue and make her give the prey back."
"And if she refuses to do so?" Floodstar drawled. When Violetfang didn't answer, Floodstar returned his glare to Rabbitface. The unspoken answer burrowed its way into every cat's heart.
Then he must kill the rogue.
...
"I just--I thought--" Owlpaw stammered, eyes wide as saucers.
"You thought what?" Violetfang spat. "That you would walk into ShallowClan's camp and tell us how to solve our problems? Typical FallenClan arrogance."
"Enough." Mudsplash stepped in front of her apprentice, lips peeling back in the beginning of a snarl.
Violetfang could feel rage brewing in her chest, a furious beast scratching at the walls of its enclosure. "If FallenClan is so well off that it can waste cats as mediators, then they should be willing to give ShallowClan a portion of their territory."
"FallenClan territory is non-negotiable," Mudsplash replied, only incensing Violetfang further.
"Violetfang is right!" Ravenspot hissed. "We should claw these so called mediators' ears off!"
"Perhaps then FallenClan cats will stop thinking themselves so superior to ShallowClan," Ravenspot's brother, Lichenstep, sniffed, standing with his pelt pressed against his sister's.
"No FallenClan cat thinks themself 'superior' to ShallowClan," Mudsplash argued.
"Then why are you here?" Dustfeather growled.
"To help you!"
"Yeah, right," Dustfeather scoffed. "FallenClan just wants to know our secrets so they can chase us out."
"This is absurd," Mudsplash snorted. "Owlpaw and I are going home." Floodstar simply nodded, watching the FallenClan cats impassively. He had barely said a word for the entire duration of the mediators' visit.
As Mudsplash and Owlpaw turned to leave, Violetfang felt a familiar pelt brush against her own. "Why do you think Floodstar allowed this little charade?" Mothwhisker's silky voice tickled Violetfang's ear. She could feel some of her fury ebb at the presence of her friend.
"I don't know."
"Perhaps he wanted to see how you would handle things," Mothwhisker murmured, voice low. "Do you see the way our clanmates look at you?"
"What do you mean?" Violetfang tensed. Mothwhisker brushed their tail against Violetfang's shoulder, an attempt at soothing her that only caused her heart to flutter uncertainly.
"Floodstar is old. He wants to make sure you will be a good sucessor. The clan certainly thinks so." Mothwhisker's honey-gold eyes gleamed with certainty. "I think so."
"Thank you," Violetfang whispered, not quite sure what else to say.
...
"You just couldn't wait for him to die, could you?" Lakelily hissed scornfully.
"Excuse you?" Violetfang was fighting to keep the waver from her voice. Floodstar couldn't actually be dead, he couldn't. . . I can't do this without him.
"Don't play the fool," Lakelily snapped. "Floodstar was poisoned. As his deputy, you certainly were aware he was on his last life."
"He never told me." Violetfang's tail was lashing now. Poisoned?
"I don't believe you."
"Wait," Thistlepaw mewed. Violetfang whipped around, gazing sharply at the young she-cat. She had only just been made a medicine cat apprentice a few moons ago.
"Thistlepaw?" Lakelily frowned.
"I-I told Rabbitface." Frosty talons hooked around Violetfang's heart. "He's Floodstar's son so I thought--well I thought he should know. I mean, he asked and. . ." Thistlepaw trailed off.
"I see." Violetfang had grown very still.
...
Violetfang hooked her claws into Rabbitface's shoulders, tearing bloody trails across his flesh before shoving him against the ground. "You foxheart," Violetfang hissed.
ShallowClan's camp had grown eerily quiet except for Violetfang and Rabbitface, facing off in the camp's center. "Everything I did, I did for ShallowClan," Rabbitface wheezed, a pleading edge to his voice. "Floodstar was a cruel and-"
CRACK. Violetfang swung her paw into the side of Rabbitface's head, causing him to wail in pain. "Your own father." Violetfang refused to cry. She wouldn't. She could feel the intensity of her clanmate's gazes upon her. She must show them strength. She must prove herself worthy of Floodstar's legacy.
"Y-you can be better," Rabbitface stumbled to his paws, swaying slightly. "You aren't a bad cat, Violetfang, I know th-that."
Violetfang loomed over Rabbitface. What should you do if the rogue refuses to return the prey? Violetfang's paw hovered over Rabbitface's throat. You kill the rogue.
"Stop!" Thistlepaw darted into the clearing, vision blurring with tears. "Please, Violetfang. Don't kill him. Exile him instead."
Violetfang flicked the blood from her claws, expression turning to stone. "Exile. That is what we do to traitors, isn't it?" She stepped back. "Rabbitface, you are hereby exiled from ShallowClan. Any cat who finds you on our territory after sundown has explicit orders to kill you." Violetfang made sure to let her voice sound all throughout the clearing. She wanted every cat to hear.
Rabbitface's gaze was darting from cat to cat, as if hoping someone would step forward in his defense. No cat moved.
"Leave, and be lucky to keep your life," Violetfang growled. Shaking, Rabbitface took a few lurching steps towards the camp's entrance. . . and then he bolted, disappearing into the marshes. "Ravenspot, Honeywater. Trail him. Make sure he leaves," Violetfang ordered.
As she turned to stalk off to her nest, Violetfang briefly caught Boulderpaw's gaze, finding something unexpected: fear. She didn't know if he was afraid of Rabbitface, or afraid of her.
She didn't know which one she wished to be true.
...
Violetstar's first act as leader had been to declare war on FallenClan. FallenClan had a larger territory, more cats, more prey. If ShallowClan claimed even a portion of FallenClan's land, they wouldn't need to ration prey anymore.
Now, Violetstar was ending the war with less than nothing to show for it. Fernshadow's leg was permanently disfigured. Boulderpaw had run away to join FallenClan, betraying ShallowClan. Poppyfrost and Nighthawk had been killed by rogues. Dustfeather had bled to death after a particularly vicious fight with FallenClan.
"I thought I'd find you here," Mothwhisker's voice crept up the willow tree's branches.
Violetstar didn't reply until Mothwhisker landed upon the branch beside her. "It was my mother's favorite spot."
"I know."
"I've failed ShallowClan."
"Have you?" Mothwhisker tilted their head, causing Violetstar to scowl.
"We're worse off than before. Cats are constantly breaking into fights. No one can agree on anything. We're starving. Dustfeather, your father, is dead. You should resent me."
"FallenClan killed Dustfeather," Mothwhisker replied, tone so trivial they could be talking about the weather.
"I don't know what to do. This isn't a problem I can solve with my claws. I need this to be a problem I can solve with my claws."
"You'll figure something out," Mothwhisker mewed breezily, resting their chin on Violetstar's shoulder. "You always do."
...
"Have you got bees in your brain? We don't need more mouths to feed!" Fernshadow yowled. His mate, Honeywater, stood beside him, their kits tumbling around near their paws.
"Be silent!" Violetstar hissed icily. A sliver of panic crossed Fernshadow's gaze, as if fearing Violetstar would attack him. His fear wasn't entirely unfounded.
Violetstar took a deep breath, trying to remember the breathing exercises she had been working on with Branchlight. "With more cats in our clan, we can be taught more skills. Rogues and loners already trespass and hunt on our land. We simply don't have enough cats to patrol our borders and keep them out."
Violetstar could see several of her clanmates swap uneasy glances. "If we let them join instead, we won't be losing any prey."
"I've seen loners hunt for fish before," Thistleheart piped up. "We could learn how to hunt fish, too, if there was a cat to teach us!"
"Floodstar said rogues are vermin," Applepatch mewed uncertainly. "He said they're a blight to the clans they join."
"Floodstar was wrong." The words felt so foreign in Violetstar's mouth, she felt as though her pelt was crawling with spiders.
Yarrowstem stomped forward, tail bushed out. "How dare you insult Floodstar's memory with this--this herersy!"
"Floodstar got us into this mess," Ravenspot snarled, whirling on her mother. Yarrowstem's eyes widened, as if completely and utterly shocked to be challenged by her beloved daughter. "If Violetstar says we should let in outsiders, then letting in outsiders is what we'll do." Lichenstep nodded in agreement.
"I suppose this could work," Lizardfang added.
"This won't immediately solve our problems," Violetstar rose her voice.
"But it's a start." Violetstar felt a jolt of shock upon hearing Lakelily speak. The ancient tom was watching her thoughtfully.
"Indeed." Violetstar swallowed. "If we hope to save our clan, we need to do it together."
"Together," Mothwhisker's soft voice rang out in reply.
"Together!" Several more warriors cried, until the word was echoing about the camp.
Together! Together! Together!
Perhaps this unity would last.
-🐉 (a shallowclan fic! a lot of these cats/concepts came from the discord. i tried to encorporate everyone's ideas about these characters together--hopefully i did a good job! i did a collection of moments before and after the war, but none during as i felt those had been covered quite a bit already
anyway. i will be starting a silverapple fic next, then a blizzardcrow fic. so there are those to look forward to if you enjoy fallenfics--would this be considered a shallowfic? lmao
i've made another request to ao3 for an account since it's been a month, so hopefully i can EVENTUALLY start posting my fics there, esp since some of them are quite long and i have yet to find any way to hide them behind a cut---pretty sure this isn't possible but please correct me if i'm wrong and i'll start doing so promptly
also when i saw russetflare having a slight romantic like towards cinderstone i started giggling and kicking my feet,, russetcinder ftw
lastly---this is dedicated to the discord & everyone who obssessed over shallowclan with me. seriously though, if you're a fan of discord considering joining the fallenclan discord.....................shameless promotion moment)
DRAGON THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD!!!!!!!! your writing is fucking spectacular as always,,,, i love the new pov of Violetstar more so being manipulated than being outright cruel,,, so interesting to explore. and the little tidbit with owlpaw and mudsplash--AUGH.

I'm finally happy enough with the Clangen clans I have/have had to build up lore around them as if they were in the same territory
I've changed EarthquakeClan's name to EchoClan, to reflect their home in the caves. KrakenClan stays at a shipwreck site at the beach. HalfClan takes the deeper forest parts of the map. BurrowClan seeks refuge in the plains' tunnels
All these clans - except KrakenClan - descend from TreeClan. TreeClan was founded after a great war amongst the previous clans that lived in the territories, but no cat remembers theirs names. Its founders believed that if they joined forces, there would be a lasting reign of peace. These predictions proved to be correct and TreeClan ruled all of the clans territories for many many years, and grew to have a culture of acceptance and multiculturalism
There are currently no survivors amongst those that remained alligned with TreeClan to the very end. Its members have been terminated either during the three divisions or due to the redcough epidemic, followed by a food shortage
EchoClan was the first clan to be formed. Its first leader, Pikestar, was visited by a StarClan cat in his dreams and told that it was his destiny to found a new clan and that he should leave his own to seek for members. At the time, StarClan was not aware of the redcough epidemic that would ruin TreeClan; all they knew was that Pikestar was destined to save many lives. EchoClan operates as a monarchy, with the exception of a brief democracy period after Pikestar and Petaleye's deaths, followed by a couple of years under Lynxstar's tyranny. It inherited TreeClan's culture of acceptance and allows for kittypets, rogues and halfclan cats to live in its territory; it has also gained a culture of believing in redemption and the betterment of people ever since Asterstar, son of Pikestar and apprentice of Lynxstar, came to leadership
The next big divison came during the crisis. BurrowClan was founded by Floodstar, who escaped TreeClan territory during one of the initial waves of disease. He took a couple of cats with him, but many of those he invited decided to remain loyal to TreeClan. Floodstar and his followers first lived in the abandoned burrows of rabbits before they decided to improve those burrows to allow for a small colony of cats. They are currently the newest clan in my game, so there isn't much more History to add, but they operate similarly to the canonical governing way of Warrior Cats and value compassion and generosity
The last big division happened after the crisis. Darkstar took a few of the healthy members of TreeClan and left to found HalfClan. As she blames the overpopulation for the destiny of those close to her, she adopted a strict policy of not taking in any cat that is sick or injured, and follows the relationship of her clan closely to ensure there will be no unplanned kits. Every time a new cat is born at a time she deems to be unnecessary, she waits until they are well trained and of age and exiles them which, in turn, makes small colonies of rogues a common sight in nearby territory. HalfClan does not encourage forming bonds with members from other clans, and occasionally not even within HalfClan if you are planning to start a family
KrakenClan was the last clan to be formed. A few months ago, a sailor's ship wrecked at shore. A few of the cats who were not taken by the tides started living in the remains of the ship and were found during patrol. KrakenClan was recognized as a clan and the beach its territory shortly afterwards. Calico Jack, one of the survivors, was appointed Captain by the rest of her crew and represents KrakenClan at Gatherings, but does not hold the same power as a common leader: KrakenClan functions as a pseudodemocracy, where all cats must vote for a decision to be made, but Captain Calico Jack can use her influence to convince her clanmates to do what she believes to be right. KrakenClan is a clan that values comradery, often uses violence and does not follow the Warrior Code

New clan!! My friends and I decided that we wanted to make blog clans, so we thought: hey, what if we made our clans neighbors and coded them in together.
so we did!!!
The three clans originated from one clan on the beach, living under one leader. However, after huge disagreements on where to live or what to specialize in, the clan broke into three pieces. Families divided, friendships broken, and the original clan that ruled the beach was no more. These pieces are what form GuppyClan, CliffClan, and LarchClan today.
I am the superior GuppyClan, and the leader is Floodstar with Mousespeck as her deputy.
One friend (Rismue) is LarchClan, with their leader being Pebblestar and Fogfur as the deputy.
And last, but not least, another friend (hib) is CliffClan, whose leader is Wetstar and the deputy is Streakfur!
Since my friends are the neighboring clans, there might be some references to their clangen clans! :) And I'll be sure to link them if they decide to make blogs too!!!

Adventure Two
Entering the Ruins
Briareyes walks, a pitch black space with a cold shallow pool of water beneath her. She steps forward seeing nothing but her reflection— crisp in the dark water. Soon she makes out three bright lights, squinting she approaches, making out the small fluffy figures of three kits… Her own, the ones she had lost. They waited patiently for her arrival, a dark figure resting in the water, blood by her kitten's paws.
Briareye's kits, by Morningstar
Nighteagle, his throat slit, eyes wide with shock and fear. His mangled corpse before her. Briareyes leans in to get a better view, instinctively moving a paw to brush her kits away from him… Only to find they’re gone. His throat, slit open, begins to bubble and spray with fresh blood. It begins to spew out, dark thick viscera seeps from him, slowly pooling out and rising, covering her paws, then legs. Soon her body was swept into the blood, the dark tide growing hungry and violent…
Plip… Plip… Plip… Briareyes wakes to drops of water plapping at her face. A vision.

Rain washes away the fire, leading only to soot and ash. A dim grey color hangs in the air, as Boulder Clan sits in the center of Rain Clan camp, damp and in the open. The main five sit before Floodstar, Rain Clan’s leader. It was time to explain what happened…
Dreadcrag starts them off, explaining the fire spreading from Fern Clan, then quickly into the other territories. Briareyes and Crimsonstar explains that the caves have collapsed inwards, their camp destroyed. Meanwhile Moonshadow updates that only three cats are injured, but they’re all stable. Once Floodstar is satisfied, he asks them all to leave him and Crimsonstar alone.
────────── · · · · ✦
Snowystorm and Moonshadow go check on Gingeroot, seeing how the old cat is doing. She is a mother figure to them both, and despite her injured leg she is helping the scared and injured. Her old Healer roots coming back to her… Snowystorm suggests its better if she rests, while Moonshadow examines her leg. Its badly swollen, and stiff. Her complexion is pale, but she shows no other signs of distress. Gingerroot seems happy the two are safe, and not injured. Calling them heroes for their work.
────────── · · · · ✦
Skysight by Morningstar
Briareyes and Dreadcrag go to see Rain Clan’s Stoneteller, Skysight. She rests within a cave, alone from the other cats. She is also Dreadcrag’s mother, someone he has a very tense relationship with. With some hesitation he allows the deputy to step in first. She looks around, seeing stone walls rippled from rain water. Paw prints, drawings, paint covers them. A small nest of moss sits in the corner, and nearby a figure acknowledges her. Skysight stands, shells and gems around her neck clacking with her movement. She seems confused to see her there, until Dreadcrag steps inside the cave. An awkward conversation ensues, but its clear that despite Rain Clan’s disinterest in their Stoneteller’s knowledge, Skysight had foresaw the fire happening. Star Clan told her “The Sun Will Fall.” and all that she could offer as advice, was to keep their loved ones close…

Crimsonstar and Floodstar sit alone in his den, there is a crisp tension between them. A stilted conversation. He checks in on her, she reacts coldly. Then he cuts to the chase: He cares for her as his daughter, but he will do what is best for his clan. He trusts she will do the same. A cold way to tell his own daughter he WILL put his clan before her. With that, He informs her Boulder Clan must be out of his territory by tonight. Crimsonstar, bristling, says he has nothing to worry about before leaving him alone.
✦ Once the group is together again ✦
Dreadcrag was attempting to get Crimsonstar and Briareyes alone, planning on telling them about Nighteagle's mysterious death. Snowystorm had caught on that something was afoot, and being the older warrior she was, figured she had a right to know. Moonshadow stood beside her, and though their leader attempted to shoo them away, Nighteagle's brother, Redtalon, grew impatient. He snapped, wondering why his brother's death had to be a secret. Dreadcrag bristled, and quickly agreed to the others tagging along, he needed them all to shut up. They could be in enemy territory!
Redtalon by Morningstar
The group move outside of Rain Clan, back into home territory near the edge of the border. Its now revealed one of their own was found dead, and the mystery unfolds. Crimsonstar suggests digging up the body, terribly annoyed her clan mates buried someone who was covered in evidence! But this was against their religious sensibilities. Dig up a grave? He's resting! We could never! So that being off the table... The group assess what they do know.
Moonshadow uses their Intuition (a knack) to get a better understanding of the evidence available... At the scene of the crime, there were only signs of a slight struggle. Smeared blood, covered up evidence (Dreadcrag's doing during the burial) and the victim's slit throat... Nighteagle was a blind warrior, he frequently didn't go out alone for this reason. He wasn't with a patrol, either, because his murder would have been clearly seen. This implies he was with someone he trusted.
Snowystorm also proposes, since his body is near Great Stones-- a place of peace among all the clans, he may have been meeting someone he trusted here from the outside. Briareyes didn't like the idea, surely he wouldn't speak with the other clans... He was a proper Star Clan fearing cat... Still, the evidence showed one thing for sure. It was him, and one other cat he trusted...
During the investigation, Dreadcrag attempted to try and seek out the undead hawk, Autumnbreeze, he sent to Fern Clan territory. A quick vision appears before him. The hawk's body crumpled, no longer glowing with the life Dreadcrag had given him. However, a body lay beside him, a cat, breathing, alive. Someone was alive in Fern Clan!
Burnt Camp, by Morningstar
Fern Clan territory was left in ruins. Snowystorm was an expert in Pathfinding (knack), and the group followed her through the unusual ruins. Usually the forest at this time of year was green and sprawling with lush undergrowth, and thick towering trees covered in vines. But now trees were blackened bare sticks, some fallen down onto grey ashen flooring. It was destitute, but through some dim memory Snowystorm found her way to a clearing that was once Fern Clan camp…
The group looked for survivors, Crimsonstar finding only brunt crispy bodies that looked beyond recognition. Dreadcrag heard movement in the forest, just the slightest crunch underfoot. He warned the others, ears flicking out into the woods. Crimsonstar peered out beyond the trees, seeing a figure standing from afar. The group advanced towards the silhouette of another cat. Rushing at the cat intimidated them, and they began to run.
Moonshadow, Dreadcrag, and Snowystorm darted after the cat, their white fur now clear in the gloom. A very distinct jingle jingle jingle rang from them… A kittypet! He eventually slowed, the group intimidating him into begging for mercy. They find his name is Buddy, a white shorthair cat with a little blue collar. Snowystorm stepped forward, pushing her face real close to his, preparing to terrify this cat into information—
“Snowball???” Buddy meows with disbelief.
“Snowball???” The entire group echos in confusion.
It was enough to break the tension for sure. The group discovers Buddy was looking for help, there’s an injured cat out in the woods, back towards where they came. He also implies the Two-Leg Nests also suffered damages from the fire, though they didn’t press much further. This injured cat was more important, a potentially alive Fern Clan cat.
Patchpaw by Morningstar.
The group finds him, a young cat who must have been apprentice aged. He laid in soggy wet mud, fur slathered in it. All but the burnt raw flesh that laid exposed to the air. An eye and ear missing, burnt away. He breathed shallowly, one glistening eye ball focusing on them. Moonshadow got to work, soothing his body with nearly all the herbs left in their arsenal. It seemed to relax him a bit, finally cold relief from the stinging pain.
Briareyes, sympathetic to most young cats, prayed above him— briefly seeing her kits watch over him as Moonshadow applied their poultices. She asked his name, he revealed his name was Patchpaw. A Fern Clan apprentice. He asks them what happened to his Clan, they all exchange grim looks, but tried their best to reassure the injured apprentice…

GullClan - Moon 0
Settled in a tidal cave whose entrance briefly gets hidden during high tide, the special oil that coats the wings of GullClan cats allows them to dive through the entrance at any time. Unlike either OwlClan or EagleClan where they can glide for long periods of time or are more prone to glide from tree to tree, GullClan cats wings have a special oil that helps their wings stay dry when they dive into the ocean, the way their wings have grown cause them to act like oars when swimming.

What if Floodleopard raises a kit that's mom died shortly after naming it. And the kit is named Slugkit
So we have a beautiful, majestic warrior with a beautiful and majestic name. and then there's her wrinkled tissue kit that she loves
Scaleears or Ivyspots would nurse them until they are weaned.

(1.3k)
Toadstar’s ear flicks at Vaststar finishes speaking.
He’s…scared, in a way that he hasn’t been in a while but he knows that he’s hiding it well. After all, the other leaders respond with similar actions and he knows that they all feel the same way. There isn’t any chance that the other leaders aren’t just as worried as he is—anyone would feel fear in this kind of situation.
“I refuse and I also request the other Clans to escort us back to camp after the Gathering is dismissed.” Woodstar snaps back to her.
“No.” Floodstar replies simply, swishing her tail a single time before she calls out, “This Gathering is over!” She crouches down to leap down from the willow but Woodstar is just close enough to snag his claws in her fur, “Let go of me.”
“You cannot just leave me and my Clan in a moment like this!” Woodstar hisses.
“Yes we can.” Moonstar says from Woodstar’s other side. For a moment, he shares a look with Vaststar. Toadstar cannot see the expression that Vaststar is making, but it is apparently sufficient enough for him to leap down. Woodstar reaches out for him but misses Moonstar completely.
The attempt to catch Moonstar lead to Floodstar slipping through his fingers. Orange tufts of fur clung to Woodstar’s claws, stark against his brown paws.
Maybe if Warblystar was here…Toadstar thinks, casting a longing stare at the place the MountainClan leader had occupied just three moons prior. The reclusive Clan had descended from their icy home at the perfect time to see what a mess they had become—their return had to have been helped by StarClan because there was no other way that they would have known of BroadleafClan’s attack on ThinleafClan any other way…then I would stay.
However seeing as two of the three leaders who had nothing to do with this had already left…Toadstar isn’t going to hold this up.
He leaps down, ignoring Woodstar’s depressed yowl. Sedgewhisker tries to catch his eye, but that’s because she’s a good cat. She believes that it’s best to stick one’s muzzle into events if that will change the tides of time. Thistlemind is already moving to the front of the Clan, directing them forward with a flick of his tail. He doesn’t look back.
Toadstar does, only for a moment as they leave the grove of trees.
Vaststar is watching them go, a sly gin on her face.
Toadstar shudders and turns back.
Normally the Clans would leave in a staggered manner, but since they left all at once he was walking out beside Floodstar. Moonstar was only a few tail-lengths away, but just far away enough that he couldn’t see the expression on the other tom’s face as the first yowl split the air.
Immediately Toadstar tenses, looking back again. In doing so he sees cats from all the Clans doing the same.
“It’s the full moon! What about the truce?” Toadstar snaps.
“Technically,” Starlingblossom says from beside him, face screwed up into an expression of distaste, “The truce is based on the Gathering. And the Gathering is over.”
“And so is my attempt at pretending to care.” Floodstar adds with a sharp flick of her tail. Toadstar notices that he didn’t notice her looking back at the first scream. Now that there were more filling the air, she doesn’t even look alarmed, “LaurelClan, we’re leaving.”
Instead of immediately peeling away, one warrior that Toadstar doesn’t recognize as being a deputy—ah yes, Palewince. Toadstar remembers that she had introduced herself to him that one time, proclaiming that she would be important to remember—yowled, “LaurelClan, turn around and—!”
Immediately, Floodstar whirls around. She lashes out at Palewince with an unsheathed paw, but the spray of blood is much less concerning than the way that Palewince falls over her own paws, head slamming into the earth. Thankfully it’s not leaf-bare else Toadstar would have been worried that she would have split her head open.
“We are not doing anything that I deem unnecessary.” Floodstar hisses, poison dripping from her teeth. She stalks closer to Palewince and places her paw on the red cat’s neck.
Toadstar…does not remember Floodburn ever being so cruel, ever so hungry for conflict, ever so willing to ignore a cat that needed help. She was level-headed, not kind nor cruel. His tail twitches and he nearly missteps and tries to help Palewince.
She was breaking the warrior code sure, but Palewince was doing it to prevent stop a leader that the Clans hadn’t seen…since his two predecessors. Not that long in comparison to the time that the Clans have existed, but time never moved fast. One second after another after another. They were all trapped, unable to be free from the rising of the sun the falling of the stars…
Toadstar grits his teeth and brings himself back to earth. He’s far grown from the cat that would stare endlessly into rushing waters. He was leader and he was going to prove every single day that he deserved to be one.
And that meant not helping as Palewince whimpered on the ground as Floodstar leaned over her, whispering something into her ear with bared teeth.
“What a display.” Moonstar comments. He tries to keep his voice steady, and if Toadstar wasn’t used to hearing the slightest tremble in his own voice he wouldn’t have noticed it in Moonstar’s. A tremble, hidden over false confidence hidden under nonchalance accompanied by the fact that that this facade must be done. They were chosen for it, not only by StarClan, but by their predecessors. Every moment of every day was spent as members of a story, the fearless leader who would lead their clan to from glorious day to glorious day.
Moonstar was unnerved by the scene, by the screams behind them that grew into a terrified crescendo.
But still, he feigned disinterest and led CloudClan away, bright white fur quickly vanishing between rows after rows of cats. Toadstar pushes himself into motion again before he can disappear completely.
“You need to make a statement on what we’re going to do.” Starlingblossom mutters.
“I say we help.” Sedgewhisker pipes up.
“I say we go home.” Thistlemind counters.
“I say that you do it quickly. Some cats have already peeled off.” Starlingblossom says, talking over the two deputies before they can disagree once more. Toadstar would worry about who would succeed him, between Thistlemind’s cold heart and ability to think like a leader and Sedgewhisker’s strong morals and willingness to stick her muzzle into trouble—if he wasn’t confident that Thistlemind would step down for Sedgewhisker when the time came.
“MarshClan!” Toadstar calls out, raising his voice into a yowl because the sound of cats fighting and dying has only gotten louder, “We’re leaving. Any cat who goes to join the battle will be walking home alone.”
He thinks of helping.
He thinks of drawing Vaststar’s ire.
He thinks of Floodstar’s look to Vaststar.
He thinks of being trapped between two allies—LaurelClan and BroadleafClan.
He thinks of the three toms who sleep in the medicine den because if they were to be suddenly attacked, that would be the safest place for them.
He thinks of Clawstem, BroadleafClan’s medicine cat, the cat who had caused Vaststar to take Thunderpaw from ThinleafClan. The young medicine cat apprentice hadn’t been seen since by any member of her Clan.
He thinks of Cardinalback, a BroadleafClan warrior. Toadstar thinks of his fear.
He thinks of Whisperswipe, a BroadleafClan warrior. Toadstar thinks of his mother, who attacked ThinleafClan barely a quarter-moon after her son disappeared with only a feather as a notice.
He thinks of what would happen to him if Vaststar discovered that his Clan was housing her warrior, her medicine cat, and her son.
Toadstar turns away, trembling beneath his fluffy pelt. And he walks away.

Cats of the Past
There are many cats that reside in Starclan and the Dark forest. However, due to how many cats there are, I'll only be posting art of the key cats that are important to the clans' history (Founders/founding cats) or deceased cats that are important to the plot whether through influence from Starclan/the Dark Forest or due to how their actions in life affect those after them. All other cats will be on a list in order by how long they've been deceased.
Founding Cats:
Thicketstar has often been nicknamed the mother of all the clans due to how most of the other clan founders were related to her. She came from another group of clans that met a tragedy, along with other cats from those clans. She was the first of the clan leaders, and it's the founding of Thicketclan and passing on the knowledge of warrior clan ways that she is noted for. While strict and stern, Thicketstar was not an otherwise noteworthy leader.
Bobbystar was the founder of Gorgeclan, and many cats generations later would forget her true name and refer to her as Gorgestar. She was the leader of a very small clowder that resided in the gorge Gorgeclan would call home. A young apprentice from Thicketclan fell in and was found by the clowder, the event starting off the meeting between the two groups and Bobby being inspired to take on some of the clan's ways and use them for her small group. She was very much noted as a kind and motherly sort of cat, with tales of how large she was constantly passed down even after her name was forgotten.
The founders of Sunclan were Sunnystar and Moonstar. Sunnystar was the child of Thicketstar and the youngest of the cats who came to the area after Thicketstar's original clans' fate occurred. Headstrong and fierce, their way of doing since is balanced out with their mate, the calmer Moonstar. Moonstar had been from the clowder-turned-clan that Bobbystar was the leader of. Their dual leadership started the long tradition Sunclan would have of having two of each high rank.
Palestar founded Floodclan in an attempt to use the land that the other three at the time weren't as suited for. An intelligent, but rather insecure cat, she had relied heavily on her mate and children prior to trusting other cats, leading to her starting Floodclan's more monarchist ways of leadership inheritance, regardless of how accidental it was. This reliance would also lead to Palestar picking one of her sons, Fernrunner, only for one of her other sons Creekmane to murder Fernrunner in cold blood and have the mother send him into exile. Her death later at his claws in a battle between Floodclan and Creekmane's newly founded Creekclan, succeeded by her daughter Mothstar. Her name, like Bobbystar, has been mostly forgotten, often referred to by cats of the present as 'Floodstar,' with her tale more of one of caution, that family doesn't always mean those cats will be your most trustworthy.
After the exile from Floodclan, Creekstar founded Creekclan with rogues he recruited to his cause. While Palestar didn't much care for the legacy Thicketstar or Sunnystar left behind, Creekstar did and strived to be a great warrior a leader. While he succeeded in killing his mother in battle, he was taken down by his sister who took the leadership afterward, Mothstar. His and Palestar's tale is used by many in the clans as a tale of caution, and the clan he founded in hate and grief is now known as the kindest and 'softest' clan, something that he rages about from the Dark Forest.
Amberfall was Thicketclan's founding medicine cat and was the one to find the Moon Falls used to communicate with Starclan. Superstitious to the end, she paired well with Thicketstar when it came to preserving the traditions they and the other founding members of their new clan had known.
Yellowthunder was not the first deputy of Sunclan, but rather the second deputy picked when Sunnystar and Moonstar officially decided to have two of each high rank. Despite the rise in rank, Yellowthunder's tales of her battles and great deeds of aiding the great territory the beginning Sunclan took over are her legacy. A legacy that continues as Sunclan has an array of cats with the prefix Yellow in her honor.
Talloak was Creekclan's first medicine cat, formerly a rogue that had resided by the Old Oak that is now part of Creekclan's territory. It was Talloak that spoke for Creekclan to remain when Creekstar was brought down in battle. Many who reside in Creekclan afterward have Talloak to thank for the clan's kinder and more welcoming attitude.

The In Between
Cats here are those who don't belong in either Starclan or the Dark Forest, and act as guides for the recently deceased to head to their suited afterlife. Gorsestar is the most recent of them to pop up, having been a decent deputy and leader in his youth, but after a tragic fire incident, his daughter's betrayal, and elderly age began to affect his mind, did many questionable and or out-right bad actions, such as the attack on his great-granddaughter Junipercloud.
There are obviously not many cats who end up here.

i've decided to drop some shallowclan cat headcanons! all of these characters except violetstar were created either by jaguar anon or beetle. if any of these headcanons conflict with already established lore the fault is my own !
floodstar---he was shallowclan's leader before violetstar. floodstar was a wise tom with a sort of wry humor. he disliked the other clans but believed war with them would never be a good idea, especially given shallowclan's low numbers. his death has been thus far ruled an accident. his traits would be wise & good mediator.
violetstar---violetfang grew up on tales of shallowclan's glory and was mentored by floodstar himself. to her bitter disappointment, she soon realized that shallowclan was sitting upon the worst territory of all the clans and frequently faced starvation. in her youth, violetfang was especially hot-headed, always getting into fights with other cats. floodstar worked to temper some of violetfang's anger. although violetfang disagreed with many of floodstar's policies, she still had a lot of respect for him, and almost viewed him as a father-figure. a rumor has circulated among many non-shallowclan cats about floodstar being murdered by violetfang, however most shallowclan cats dismiss this rumor as nonsense. when violetfang first learned of floodstar's death, she was so stricken that she confined herself to her den for days. her first official act as leader was to declare war on fallenclan, who she believed responsible (and whose territory she so desperately wanted for her clan). her traits would be vengeful & unnatural senses.
ravenspot---boulderstep's mother! ravenspot's mate died before boulderstep was born, and boulderstep was the only survivor of an already small litter. from a young age, ravenspot heaped a mountain of expectations on boulderstep. she loves him dearly, but altogether was a pretty shitty mother. ravenspot always seemed to be looking for reasons to be upset at boulderstep and always seemed to be on his case for something or other. ravenspot is older than violetstar but greatly admires her, and believes violetstar will be the cat to "fix" shallowclan. ravenspot resents floodstar and believes his inaction led to shallowclan's current dire circumstances. after boulderstep left, ravenspot was beyond heartbroken and spent days searching for him. when she learned her had WILLINGLY joined fallenclan, she created a narrative with herself as the "perfect mother" who had been "betrayed" by an "ungrateful child." when boulderstep finally attended a gathering for the first time as a fallenclan cat, many moons after the war ended, ravenspot shot him one withering glare and proceeded to pointedly ignore him for the rest of the gathering. secretly, she still hopes that boulderstep will come home one day. her traits would be strict & unusually strong fighter. she's the cat who scarred sleepycloud (she was intending to blind him).
lakelily---shallowclan's senior medicine cat. lakelily is old and tired. he was a dear friend of floodstar's and believes violetstar has tarnished his memory with war and bloodshed. lakelily and violetstar are constantly getting into volatile arguments, but violetstar hasn't exiled or attacked lakelily only out of respect for floodstar. lakelily is very fond of thistleheart and believes she will be a good "replacement" for him. he often casually talks of his future death, which is upsetting to everyone around him. he sometimes wanders off for days at a time, and usually has to be brought back by thistleheart. his traits would be gloomy, omen sense, & lore keeper.
mothwhisker---violetstar's childhood best friend. the two seem to have had a falling out recently, much to everyone's shock. some cats speculate that violetstar wanted to be mothwhisker's mate but was rejected. others claim mothwhisker is upset about the war with fallenclan, however this is unlikely given mothwhisker being one of violetstar's biggest supporters at the time. mothwhisker is a reserved and somewhat aloof cat. they prefer solitude. lately, they've begun hanging out with lakelily. their traits would be calm & good swimmer.
dustfeather---an old and grouchy warrior. he's a big supporter of violetstar and is mothwhisker's father. dustfeather is always getting into fights with other cats. he's always viewed violetstar as a daughter to him, and lately has begun pointedly telling cats that he wishes violetstar were his actual kit instead of mothwhisker. mothwhisker doesn't seem to have much reaction to these comments. his traits would be grumpy & good teacher.
nighthawk---a skittish and easily startled she-cat. she was boulderstep's mentor at the time of his "disappearance." nighthawk spends most of her time with her mate, poppyfrost. nighthawk's traits would be nervous & helpful insight.
poppyfrost---a wary and peculiar cat. they often leave camp for days at a time, similarly to lakelily. they claim to be going on "quests," but refuse to elaborate further. their traits would be strange & somewhat clairvoyant.
fernshadow---lakelily's son. he has a permanently twisted front leg. this happened when he attempted to attack brambletuft in a skirmish with fallenclan, only for poppyfeather to descend on him like a vengeful hawk. fernshadow is bitter over his injury and is resentful that lakelily wasn't able to do anything more for it. he is honeywater's mate and the father of spottedkit, pondkit, and thistleheart. fernshadow's traits would be sneaky & skilled hunter.
branchlight---an older tom, generally regarded as being sensible and easy-going. he's extremely well liked in fallenclan and often helps keep violetstar in check. branchlight was floodstar's mate, and is fond of violetstar, knowing how much like a daughter she was to floodstar. he randomly brought bluepaw and brackenpaw to camp one day as kits. it's widely assumed that he's their biological father, but no one knows who their mother is. he has thus raised them as his own. his traits would be calm & skilled mediator.
flamefoot---honeywater and lizardfang's father, recently retired. flamefoot loves to regale the clan's kits with stories of shallowclan's glory days. flamefoot seems to remember a time when shallowclan was prosperous, when no cat had to go hungry at night. . . most likely, he remembers things as far better than they were. he's generally disliked by the clan's older warriors who view him as a sentimental fool filling their kits' heads with nonsense. his traits would be loving & great storyteller.
yarrowstem---another elder, lichenstep and ravenspot's mother. yarrowstem is generally given a wide berth by other cats who wish to avoid her extremely long and tiresome lectures. yarrowstem is seemingly always in a bad mood and LOVES to complain. she's also a huge suck up to violetstar. her traits would be strict & formidable fighter.
honeywater---a laid back yet reserved she-cat. she's polite but superficial. many cats find her hard to read/understand. as soon as her eldest child, thistleheart, was old enough to be an apprentice, honeywater stopped looking after her. thistleheart fears the same fate will befall her younger siblings. her traits would be cold & incredibly clever.
rabbitface---dustfeather's brother. rabbitface is generally seen as the "cool uncle" type and is pretty silly. younger cats tend to like him but more strict/serious cats find him obnoxious (this includes dustfeather). his traits would be childish & beloved kitsitter.
lichenstep---ravenspot's brother. lichenstep grew up somewhat resentful of ravenspot, as she was always yarrowstem's favorite. when lichenstep came out as a tom, however, ravenspot was his bigger supporter. the two really bonded after that, and now are closer with each other than either of them ever were with yarrowstem. lichenstep is content to support ravenspot whenever he can. he helped her search for boulderstep, and supported her in her grief. lichenstep was furious when he found out boulderstep had joined fallenclan. at some point, he sought out boulderstep at a gathering and created a massive scene where lichenstep called boulderstep ungrateful, selfish, etc. for "betraying" such a "sweet" and "loving" cat like ravenspot. his traits would be bold & formidable fighter.
lizardfang---flamefoot's son and honeywater's brother. lizardfang is a flamboyant and self obsessed cat. he's very flirty and overly confident. cats generally find him annoying. lizardfang is very close with honeywater, despite being her total opposite. his traits would be flamboyant & eloquent speaker.
applepatch---a charming and slightly arrogant tom. applepatch is witty and clever, and is used to getting his way. he's a few moons younger than violetstar and always greatly admired her/looked up to her. he's a massive suck up and is constantly vying for her attention. many cats speculate that he has a crush on her. violetstar is indifferent to him most of the time. his traits would be confident & clever.
thistleheart---boulderstep's childhood best friend. read jaguar anon's fics!! she is centric in several of them. her traits would be compassionate & skilled healer.
-🐉 (don't have enough space to do kits and apps whoops. anyway uh. have some shallowclan!! i know you said not to apologize but i'm sorry for the insanely long asks...)
oooooh i LOVE all these headcanons!!! such cool ideas. im especially fond of Ravenspot being the one to scar Sleepycloud (i am canonizing this now bc its epic). can you imagine if he'd come back to camp and said what the cat who attacked him looked like. and Boulderstep overheard. AUGH.
#fallenasks#dragon anon#most if not all of these cats came from discord btw! someone mentioned wanting an allegiances list for Shallowclan so i made one#probably should post it aghjag

in some of ur designs what r the things in parenthesis for? (like taller than trees, mender, ect) are they titles?
Each of the clans have different names for different ranks (and also different warriors roles)
In Floodclan:
- the leader is the Floodbearer (after the clan’s founder, Bearer of Great Flood, later changed to Floodstar)
- the deputy is the Riverwalker
- and the medicine cat is the Starwatcher
- warrior roles are Fisher (hunters), Driftfoots (warriors who live away from camp and patrol the far islands), Poolkeepers (protectors and maintainers of the camp), and Damselflies (aids for medicine cats and carers of kits and elders [both male and female])
In Hollowclan:
- the leaders (of whom there are multiple) are the Sunchasers
- the deputies (of whom there are also multiple) are the Skycatchers
- the medicine cats (of whom there are also also multiple) are the Menders
- warrior roles are Plainsrunners (hunters and patrollers), Stonethrowers (hunters and diggers, dig dens and pathways underground like wolves), and Dencats (maintainers of the camp, who take care of clanmates and patrol around the camp in case the spread thin Plainrunners miss any invaders)
In West Summitclan:
- the leader is Taller-than-Trees
- the deputy is Climbs-Great-Heights
- the medicine cats are Heals-the-Weak
- warrior roles are Hunters (self explanatory), Watchers (warriors who live most of the time at the bottom of the mountain to patrol and occasionally bring resources to the camp), and Queens (warriors, usually new mothers but sometimes fathers too, who care for kits)
In East Summitclan:
- the leader is Touches-the-Stars
- the deputies are Follows-the-Sky
- there is no medicine cat because the deputies and leader fill that role (and all warriors have at least basic medical knowledge)
- warrior roles are Catchers (hunters), Runners (same as West Summit’s Watchers), and Hens (same as West Summit’s Queens)
(( East and West Summit are very similar for obvious reasons ))
In Shallowclan:
- the leader is the Rising Stream
- the deputy is the Trickling Rain
- the medicine cats are the Dew of Stars
- warrior roles are the Snakes of Streams (warriors who hunt and patrol the water), Birds in Trees (warriors who hunt and patrol the land, often from up in the branches of trees), and Bears of Dens (warriors who hunt around the camp and care for kits and elders)
In Grottoclan:
- the leaders are the Great Bears (there are 2)
- the deputies are the Wolves (there are three, two who become Great Bears, and the youngest who appoints the next two Wolves)
- the medicine cats (of whom there are multiple) are the Dragonflies
- warrior roles are Foxes (patrol in groups), Owls (hunt, usually from up in trees, and also gather for the clan), and Does (who maintain the camp and care for kits, apprentices, elders, and the ill [both males and females])
